#In the Round

Do any of you have experience using the Italian cast on when knitting small circumferences in the round? I've tried 2 circs and magic loop, and every time I split the stitches between the needles, I lose a stitch.

...somehow I only manage to post all the progress pics just now — IDK, this time I really focused on finishing the sweater ASAP (not that I really have to have it soon, but still...it's nice when you can have it as soon as you can 🙈).

But anyhow here it is! The winnie the pooh (with ✨pizzazz✨ 😏) intarsia sweater now done 🎉

I've been so excited about my board project that I haven't posted any of my crochet! This is probably my favorite project of 2022. I made it as a gift for my coworker and his girlfriend for being such beautiful people. I worked on it off and on from January until December, and it brought me so much joy!

I am using Patty Lyons' method for avoiding jogs when knitting stranded colourwork in the round. It's working better than the previous technique I tried, but at one point I had to tink a round because I'd made a mistake in the previous round, and I somehow ended up dropping a stitch. Tinking was confusing because you knit the last stitch in the round twice, so I thought it needed to be tinked twice, but I guess not? Anyway, I picked up the dropped stitches with a crochet hook, but I don't know if I did it right (again, because that last stitch gets knitted twice in each round) and there's a hole there now.

I'm gonna see if I can adjust the tension of those stitches and close the hole with my yarn tails. If not I'll have to frog back to that point. Fortunately with this huge yarn the knitting goes really quickly, so having to knit it again won't be so bad.
