After watching John Wick series all week I got some ideas to revamp a character for In the Black who initially I wrote as a note but now want to do more with.

He is an Arkat- A member of an order of Assassins that had been pretty much destroyed by the end of the Great War. These Assassins followed old laws for their god Kalclok that only those who create life may take it. Which typically made it an order of warrior mothers. Although transmen and non-binary individuals would also be allowed to join as it didn't matter what you identified as, only that you had given birth.

Some time during the war, he lost his eyesight. I'm thinking it may have been during a fight with one of his marks. Still working that out. So now he's a blind Assassin with a 7yo daughter whom he takes with him as he travels for a mark because it wouldn't be safe to leave her in town with his family as the temple to the order has fallen and none of them are trained fighters.

So his daughter usually hangs out in their hotel room and colors with crayons while waiting for dad to come home. She's probably trained in a little self-defense.

Back in 2017 I signed up for one of the Cards Against Humanity sillies and did their Cards Against Humanity Saves America. Basically they were like fuck Tr*mp and his border wall and used the funds from the campaign to buy land and to make all 150,000 contributors part owners of said land across the US/Mexico border.

It was fun and silly and I got a little certificate.

Today I got an email that Elon Musk illegally annexed that land for SpaceX and that CAH are suing him over it. So possibly I’ll get like $100 if they manage to win a lawsuit and stick it to Musk. It’s like even more bang for my original buck.
