Rather than start off Yugi for these head cannons, we're going with Yami

Now, most of the fandom pegs him as a smooth talking flirt, but let's be real. This boy knows nothing about how to talk to a girl, let alone one he has feelings for.

He's an adorkable, awkward, sweet baby boy

It's not hard to notice when the guy has a crush on you, honestly.

The way his eyes always move to you during a duel, the way he blushes around you if Yugi forces him to stay out

While it's not amusing to him for Yugi to "torture" him this way, it certainly is hilarious seeing him

You will probably end up having to make the first move, ngl

That or he'd be the type to trip flat on his face for no reason, look up at you sheepishly and go, "I guess you've caught me falling for you." It totally wasn't Joey's idea for him to do that sksjsjsjsjsj

Either which way, when you hold his hand for the first time, he's gonna end up as beet red as Yugi when he gets on girls' radar. Poor boy might actually pass out if you kiss his cheek

On the day of your first date, poor Yami's so nervous, he can barely focus on anything else

Yugi helped him get ready and attempted to calm him down

Once Yami saw you though... It was Game Over.

"You look absolutely stunning." He'd manage to stutter out after a minute of attempting to talk

Your first date might be either roaming Domino City and checking different things out or heading back to Yugi's to duel (Yami teaching you the ropes if you didn't know how)

I think that by the end of the night, he wouldn't want you to go and get more adorkable than before, shuffling a bit before bashfully asking for your permission to kiss you

If you rejected it, he'd be respectful, but if you accepted, I think that first kiss would be tender and sweet... But also awkward because he has no idea how to kiss anyone.

Definitely gonna be sitting in the Millennium Puzzle with a dark red face for like hours after the date

So, you're probably wondering how he asked you out, right?

Well, at his grandpa's advice, he gave you a puzzle. When you solved it, it read, "Will you go out with me, Y/N?"

Needless to say, you kissed Yugi's cheek and told him you'd love to. Baby boy just about passed out

He had a hard time deciding what to wear when the day for your date finally came

When he saw you, his blush went even darker. "Y-Y-You look stunning." He managed to get out before you complimented him back, making his blush darker if it was even humanly possible. Please spare him sksksksk

At the end of the date, you had gone to kiss his cheek again at the same time he turned his head to vocally tell you how he felt. Your lips met and both of you turned red before pulling away.

Though it was an accident, that first kiss had been sweet. Yugi blushed dark red. "Do you think... I mean... Can I kiss you again?" Yugi asked, a bit surprised to see you turn dark red as you nodded.

When he pulled you in for a proper kiss, it was gentle, sweet... And addicting.

After the date, Yugi was a blushing mess as he laid in bed, one thought on his mind

When I say this boy was smitten with you when he first saw you, let me tell you, that boy was smitten

Anytime you needed somebody, there he was with your favorite snacks and drink or ready to beat up the jerk that made you upset.

When you fell asleep in his arms, he held you. "I wish I could be the one holding your heart, Y/N... I'd keep it safe for ya... What am I saying, ya don't need dis from me right now. I'll just be here for ya until ya ready. I never forced ya to do anything before and I ain't startin' now."

Speaking of Kaiba, if you managed to grab this giraffe boy's attention, congrats, you've accomplished an uneasy feat.

Seto is not only a man of few words, but if he wants something, he's determined to get it. I mean, the way he's obsessively challenging Yugi is proof enough of that fact

He actually doesn't realize what these feelings for you are until Mokuba catches him blushing after an encounter with you. The kid can't help but smirk and tease his big brother, which earns him a glare or two

Shortly after that, you notice little things. Like a white rose on your desk if you work at Kaiba Corp, or a bouquet of red roses being brought to your work if you don't

But nothing compares to the day he showed up to see you in his business suit, a white rose in hand and... Was that a blush on his face?

He gave it to you, turning redder when your fingers brushed his.

"I... Have a proposition for you... Go out with me."

A few days later, he was getting ready for your first date and wondering how in the hell he'd managed to pull off getting a date with you. He managed to sum it up to him just being Seto Kaiba before leaving to pick you up
