Oh yeah, I want to announce this officially.

Over this weekend I will begin work on making a Carrd, and will be merging my Multi (@sercphs) into this blog so that I can run with one single blog.

Honestly, Writing Fischl is a big task for me to do since can be quite exhaustive to write, but I don't want to do away with her because I really do love writing her. Going forward I intend to condense into one multi and run out of that so that it's easier for me to manage, and those changes will be coming over the next week-or-so depending on how long it takes me to get formatting and the like done.

Doubts (Gaming x GN!Reader) (SAGAU IMPOSTER AU)

(Might be a bit OOC, pls correct me 🥲)

"G-Gaming...?"

Gaming's body froze, you knew his name. He lowered his weapon, his doubts coming back to his mind. Ever since everyone was given an order to kill the "imposter" by their "Divine Creator", he thought "Why the heck would we hunt someone just because they have the same face as them, that's a bit cliche 🫤", but he can't defy his god, for he fears punishment.

But you, you knew his name, like you personally knew him, unlike the one on the throne.

"You're not going to kill me...?"

His thoughts got interrupted by your voice, sensing fear in it. He sighed.

"Honestly, despite everyone claims you impersonated Our Grace, you never did anything wrong at all. You also knew my name, unlike the one on the throne who didn't knew me at all, or maybe anyone else"

You looked at him, your fear dwindling down but still kept your guard.

"Yeah, probably that. In fact, I literally appeared here, then everyone started hunting me, like bro, do I look like I'm going to do some heinous crimes that they don't think their Grace or whatever the heck they call them would do?"

Gaming tried his best to hold his laugh. Somehow, even in tough times, you surprisingly have humor (even speaking his language /j). Maybe that kept you sane while you're being hunted down or something.

Then they heard voices. It's the Milileth. Gaming looked at the "imposter", suddenly feeling bad for them.

And that's when he decided to be against the order, deciding his own fate by himself

"Hey, what are you- UHH WHAT THE F--"

Gaming them immediately gave you a glare to shut you up.

"Oi, quiet! I'm going to help this time because who the frick would order people to kill someone just because they have the same face as them?!"

You looked at him in disbelief. He's helping you? But I guess you should be grateful this time, the last time someone helped you is Bennett, Fischl, Razor, and Mona helping you to escape Mondstadt, then you got killed by the Acting Grandmaster Jean, returned home to your world, then managed improved your life there until you fell asleep at the end of the day, only to find yourself you respawned in Liyue, and now the Milileth, the Qixing, heck even the Geo broke ahh grandpa Archon started chasing you! And I guess I could say it's enough for you to slowly develop distrust against anyone. Until this guy started to help you.

"I'm going to take you to my house. My father will probably understand my doubts of this... order..."

You stayed silent as Gaming carried you on the back away from the hunters, safely hidden from them.

"You know, I really wanted to go home. I had known these types of events that would happen in this world when I came, but I half didn't expect this sht would happen to me. I don't want godhood, I don't want to become a god higher than the Archon, I don't like how really submissive but blind these people are when it comes to faith on their beloved "Creator". All I wanted is a perfectly normal life, here in Teyvat, and now I wanted to go back home because of what I suffered..."

Okay, now he felt really bad. You didn't deserved this! He felt thankful for following his guts.

"Anyways, Gaming, did you know I actually laughed at your voiceline about your troubles? Like the way you said "How much?!" and "I'm not paying for a few extra wet wipes!" got me rolling! Oh, and your thoughts on Qiqi, it's so wholesome! I'm glad Qiqi gets the respect she deserves..."

To be honest, when he brought you to his house, he is already flustered about how much you knew him, praised him, heck even he heard you said a lot people from your world liked him because of his personality. Gaming could feel like jumping to the atmosphere, he felt being recognized.

Meanwhile, you feel your trust coming back again, and it's directed towards the guy whom everyone in the fandom called him the "sunshine boi".

And you're quite thankful that he's not blind like those rodents (blinder than Dora the Explorer lol 💀)

"You know, I feel... happy about how much you knew me and praised me. I feel recognized unlike Our Grace for not answering our prayers."

Freedom's Protection: A Blasphemy or The Truth?

Summary: Venti's outburst shocks everyone, making the people of Mondstadt question everything they knew about their Archon.

This is the third part of Mondstadt's storyline for the Reader Protection Squad SAGAU series.

Note: There are instances of grammatical errors, please bear with me. Also, the entire layout was now changed and I placed a title on them so I could not be confused while I write the next chapters. It's still the same story though.

"What if your dear Anemo Archon was also like them, an imposter who also steals someone's face?!"

Everyone couldn't believe what the young bard was saying, especially those who are very devoted to Lord Barbatos. The Anemo Archon is also an imposter?

Bennett and Fischl who accompanied him looked at Venti with surprised looks on their faces, while Razor was confused about what happened. On the other hand, you were shocked at what the bard did, even though you had expected him to do something stupid after Eula's harsh statement regarding imposters.

To be honest, you can understand why the usual happy and mischievous bard suddenly snaps out and break down at everyone. Eula's statement may be intended for you but it also applies to Venti's situation, and her scathing words hit the Anemo Archon on a personal level. You guessed that not everyone knows his real story, not even his very devout followers in his church, as you had remembered that only the Traveler was the one who had truly opened up about his real feelings of loss by telling his story about his bard friend in his story quest.

They didn't know who he really is... because all knowledge that the Mondstadters knew about their beloved Archon is from secondary sources, from the words of other people, and not really from Venti himself.

They never knew how hard is to pretend to be someone he really isn't. You know it wasn't his choice to rule a nation, since Andrius had stepped down from being a suitable candidate but Venti had tried his best to fulfill the wishes of his beloved friend before he had died: for Mondstadt to be free.

Mondstadters from the past to the present saw his Archon persona in rose-colored glasses, portraying him as regal, poised, and hardworking as his people (they were also overworked because they thought they can emulate Lord Barbatos' 'hardworking' work ethic) who value the concept of freedom over his domain, not knowing that their Archon is actually a happy-go-lucky troublemaker who has the heart of gold, who really likes apples and Dandelion Wine to the point of breaking the records for most shots a Mondstadter can drink in one go, or how he likes to annoy people with his songs and pranks when he feels like it.

You had sympathized with him, as you and he are similar in some aspects. You always force a bright smile on your face and feel optimistic, even though there are times that you feel like you wanted to give up on everything. You can crack jokes over your so-called friends, laugh at the corniest punchlines, and put up some masks on other people, saying to them that you're okay even though it really isn't.

There is a reason why you loved playing Genshin Impact, it's not because of the waifus or husbandos or you just want to have fun and spend over nothing, but it was an escape from your loneliness and the reality. You feel loved when the game greeted you on your birthday before anyone can and was given you a digital cake even though you know it was coded to be like that. You feel happy when your favorite character had come home and when you listened to their voice lines where they said something good about you.

You think that someone took pity on you and whisk you away to the beautiful continent of Teyvat, but it seems that there's a mistake. The moment you were spat at by the same characters you really loved, you feel like you were really unloved by anyone no matter what world you've been thrown in. You're not suicidal, but at that moment, the urge to throw yourself off the cliff and unto the waters of Cider Lake to drown was very strong.

So when you met Bennett, Razor, and Fischl for the first time and they had befriended you no matter what others say something bad about you, you feel happy that someone had accepted you the way you are, and you wanna cry with tears of joy.

And when Venti, the actual Anemo Archon of Mondstadt, came to your rescue, you feel like you were lucky that someone out there still appreciated your existence. You silently thank whoever is above that gives you some mercy over this forsaken world.

Meanwhile, Barbara Pegg, the lovely Deaconess of the Church of Favonius, couldn't help but ponder over what the bard had said. You had noticed how she was not as defensive as the other nuns present, but you just brushed it off as she was just in shock. You were unfortunately wrong about your assumptions, for you underestimated her just because you know from her game appearances that she was oblivious to her Archon being literally meters away from her.

She may be a devout follower of the Anemo Archon, but as a Gunnhildr, she had access to a certain diary of one of their ancestors living at the time of Decarabian, along with her older sister Jean.

She remembered a passage regarding a wind elf and his human friend who died in the rebellion, after her mother, Frederica, had let her read the family heirloom after Barbara joined the church as a Deaconess.

"The young leader had unfortunately passed away by a stray arrow to the heart, the winds took away his young life so early. We were devastated to see the one who had awakened our hearts and fought for freedom die in the rebellion against Lord Decarabian, but no one grieves more than the Elf, who was with him till the end. The Elf has done the unthinkable after they had ascended into a god by Celestia: they had taken the form of his human friend so he could see the free world under the eyes of the Elf, who was now under the name of Barbatos, the new Anemo Archon of Mondstadt."

Imagine Barbara's surprise when she found out about that, she had never read this information in any Mondstadt history books or tomes she had come across. She knew that her ancestor had been part of the first Mondstadt rebellion against Lord Decarabian, so she could assume that it was a legitimate source.

At the time, she can't believe that Lord Barbatos' current form seen in the statues isn't his, to begin with, for it was based on his human friend who had died in the first rebellion. Today, she had doubts about the issue, especially when the bard had brought it up.

"If that's the case, then it's true that Lord Barbatos is technically an imposter, just like how Mr. Bard had said," she thought to herself, "But how he known about that if that information isn't in the books I have ever read about our Archon? Did I miss a book?"

She looked at her older sister who was still standing with Diluc with a troubled look in her eyes like she was pondering about something. She ever wondered if Jean still remembered the contents of the diary or knew something about Venti. As far as she was concerned, Venti knew the Honorary Knight, Jean, and DIluc personally due to their involvement during the Stormterror crisis.

She knew that Venti can summon Dvalin, one of the Four Winds, when they went to the Golden Apple Archipelago months ago. He is also the only one she can't heal with her Hydro Vision, the first time since she had been blessed by the gods. He had an angelic voice and an exceptional talent for playing the lyre, which to be honest, Barbara was slightly jealous of. And he just recently appeared on Mondstadt, which was coincidentally the time when Dvalin, known as Stormterror that time, had attacked Mondstadt.

Who really is Venti anyway?

"Blasphemy!" One of the nuns screamed as her fellow comrades and citizens agreed with her, "Lord Barbatos isn't an imposter, you blasphemous child. How dare you speak to the Archon that way?!"

"History books had never told the Anemo Archon's whole story!" Venti continued as he lowered his bow down, his right arm wiping the stray tears on his cheeks. You wanted to comfort him, to hug him in your arms, but the situation was so tense that you prefer not to, for now.

"You just knew him because of those books and those spoken stories that always praise him! And in every single one of them, he was portrayed as a divinity who committed no mistakes and made some exceptional deeds just because he is an Archon. You may think that he is perfect, but news flash people, he's not! He's as flawed as any other mortal out there! He should have saved his dear friend if he was as perfect and powerful as you think he was!"

He was glaring at the people in front of him, his aqua-green eyes glowing in intensity, "You had never known that he was originally a wind wisp who had taken the form of a dead friend to honor a wish. He had never saved his dear friend... if only that blasted wind wisp was a second too early, his friend wouldn't have died in the rebellion! That friend of his was the one who started the peak of the rebellion, who had sang songs of freedom, and guess what, no one remembers his name or even his sacrificial deeds!"

Venti closed his eyes as he continued speaking, a look of nostalgia etched in his eyes as he stared at the skies above, "Freedom was given to all of you due to a sacrifice of a human who was now forgotten by history, but his face... his young face now lived on under the facade of Lord Barbatos. Without the bard's final wish, Lord Barbatos would never make freedom his ideal for Mondstadt..."

"...He would never have been the weakest among the Seven Archons if he had never fulfilled his dear friend's dying wish."

"And how would you know about that? Why would you try to defame Anemo Archon Barsibato just to manipulate our minds about the imposter?!" Rosaria harshly interrogated Venti who just spewed some blasphemous information about their Archon, her polearm pointed at the bard.

The nuns of the Church of Favonius had deadpan looks on their faces over Rosaria's mistake over Lord Barbatos' name, while the citizens who believed in the Archon glared at Venti for his statement.

To their surprise, the young Anemo user smiled at them, but they could guess that he was actually smirking. He chuckled as he bowed his head, bangs covering his beautiful eyes. It left people confused and scared, especially the Knights and the Church nuns. They had never seen this side of the bard who they have just known to be as mischievous and happy-go-lucky all the time.

You felt chills when you see his smirk, as you had an image of a young-looking boy with angelic wings who looked at the people with a menacing smile, the bow on his hands was stained in blood. You then realized that you had seen a glimpse of Venti in his Archon form, and it was possible that it was him in the Khaenri'ah disaster 500 years ago!

His Elegy of the End bow was still on his hand as he dared to respond with a playful tone at the young nun, staring at her with a coldness that could rival someone with a Cryo Vision, as if he was scolding a young misbehaving child, "You could say that I am more than just a mere drunkard bard, Miss Rosaria."

"After all, how could I ever spread blasphemous words about myself?"

BADASS VENTI IS LIFE.

Well, this is Part 3 of the Reader Protection Squad series of one-shots, where someone is trying to protect the Reader from being pelted down by the Divine Creator's obsessive acolytes.

This one was also cut into two parts, so there is a possible Part 4 regarding Venti helping you off. (sigh) I think I will do a full-blown fanfic if I kept this up. I also write the Reader's inner thoughts, based on my experience. I couldn't help but shed a tear when I wrote this part.

To those who are new to my story, in this series, Venti is part of your protection squad in this Imposter AU concept, one of the two Archons who are going to help you. He is usually the mischaracterized character in SAGAU fics, and I wanted to do justice to my boi's character.

I made Barbara more perceptive than she was on canon, because why not? I made her a book enthusiast, she likes to read books in her free time just like her older sister (if she is not busy with her idol work, practice, healing, and church duties). Her possible favorite books are about Lord Barbatos and his deeds to Mondstadt.

A/N : Happy birthday my friend ! Congratulations on being today years old, as my (late late late late LATE! really sorry about that) gift for you I'll be writing this headcanon with every character from Mondstadt to Sumeru celebrating your birthday ! And fun fact, you were born on the same day as my old cat ! (his name was 'little steps' and he passed away four years ago because he was old but now I have two new troublemakers to destroy my sleep)

Warning(s) : some bombs from klee, a lot of cake but idk if that's even some kind of warning, mostly fluff, it's kind of Sagau if you squint a little.

MONDSTADT

The moment Jean was informed she got a multitude of knights just getting the entire city ready for a huge celebration, at this point, it's a national holiday. She patrols around to check if everything is in it's rightful place, if anyone dares to sabotage or disrupt such an occasion they will get beheaded. Amber and Eula follow after their senior, wishing you the best when they see you, since the beautiful Lawrence maiden understands how important this day is for you she'll perform a wonderful dance for you.

The church also prepared a wonderful original song for you, and it was all thanks to Barbara and Venti (who was also the one that announced your date of birth) even if it doesn't match their usual tunes they will gladly change their genre just for you to enjoy their singing. It's kind of hard to imagine priests singing black metal but they'll do their best in doing it for you.

Diluc pretended not to care but the Dawn Winery had also been cleaned and decorated to the brim. Everything on the menu is just foods you enjoy, all that you dislike is BANNED from this place, they take your approval seriously and I mean it. When you come in, he has everything ready and perhaps even a huge gift. Though much to his dismay, Kaeya will tease him for it (not like he didn't plan grandiose things just to see your smile). Speaking of teasing, he starts to poke a multitude of pickup lines at you.

There is music, there is presents and decoration..what else are we missing? Oh wait who's the clown for this party-

People will go on and on about how pretty butterflies are. The grace they represent. The beauty they display for all to see. They represent tranquility and calm. They're just magnificent.

Well, you're calling bullshit!

Butterflies are pretty, sure. But for you, all they represent is inconvenience. For as long as you can remember, you always had the ability to become a butterfly. Unlike Fischl though, who could control when she used Oz to fly and tactically evade attacks from enemies, your transformations were involuntary.

While you were sleeping, out walking by yourself, or sometimes while you were in the bathroom-- it was out of your control. Worst of all, you had no idea when you'd turn back to normal, meaning any future plans were horribly thrown out the window.

This translated into relationships you had as well. Suddenly no-showing to friends' engagements because you turned into a butterfly made some of them less eager to invite you out. Plans that you laid out months well in advance were suddenly foiled due to shrinking significantly and growing extra appendages.

Over the years, butterflies had grown to mean anything short of annoying. The only thing that hadn't been affected by this predicament was your relationship with Aether, your boyfriend. Life was nice enough that most outings or plans you had with him didn't need to be canceled because of your transformation. And if you did need to cancel? Aether coincidentally had a commission or task he needed to take care of. Everything always worked out.

Today changed that. You decided to accompany Aether on a commission today to clear out a hilichurl camp in Liyue. It was supposed to be straightforward-- show up, kick some butt, and leave.

But of course, right as you and Aether were going to kill the last Mitachurl, instead of finishing it off with a blast of anemo, you suddenly find yourself fluttering frantically in front of the beast. Just my fucking luck I'd turn in the middle of battle! you curse internally.

Both the mitachurl and Aether look at your butterfly form in confusion, temporarily stunned by the change of events. However, realizing this is not the time to falter, Aether quickly recovers and finishes off the mitachurl with a surprise attack. You flap your wings helplessly as your partner finishes cleaning out the hilichurl camp.

Once completed, Aether walks to a nearby tree, waving you over to follow him. You both stay under the cool shade of the tree in silence, and Aether watches your insect form with confusion and intrigue. His gaze eats at you, making you want to crawl into a cocoon and hide, and doubts begin to cloud your mind.

He's going to think this is weird and want to stop seeing me now. Who would want to date some weirdo that turns into a butterfly? you worry, your flapping speed increasing as you fall deeper into your despair.

"…I'll be honest. I've never seen something like this before. Is it a curse?" Aether asks, and you nearly fall out of the air in surprise. If you could, you give him an incredulous look. Realizing you wouldn't be able to communicate with him in this form, he changes gears.

"Let's go to my teapot and wait till you turn back. I won't get any answers if you're a butterfly," he decides, taking out the device from his bag.

You didn't have to wait long to turn back-- as soon as you both entered the teapot, you reverted back to your normal form, much to your surprise. You fall flat on your butt as gravity works against your body, causing you to yelp in pain upon impact. Aether rushes to help you, but you quickly wave him off.

"I'm fine, I'm fine! Just wasn't prepared to turn human that fast," you grumble, slowly pushing yourself up.

You dust your clothes off and look up at Aether, who stands there awkwardly fidgeting with his fingers. You offer him a tired smile.

"I'll answer your first question: no, it's not a curse. It's just something I was born with. At random times, I'll turn into a butterfly. Quite inconvenient really," you explain. Aether furrows his eyebrows, taking on a pensive look before his face lights up as if he's made a breakthrough discovery.

"Like a cicin mage?" You throw him a cold glare, and he flinches.

"Never compare me to Fatui ever again," you hiss, and he nods aggressively, not wishing to invoke your wrath.

As you make your way into the house to properly unwind for the day, you go into detail about how you've lived with the predicament and how turbulent it's made your life. Getting everything off your chest was relieving. You never had the opportunity to share how you were feeling with anyone, and having these pent-up emotions made your animosity toward your abilities grow.

It helped that Aether was such an attentive listener. He didn't interrupt your explanations or make any judgemental comments. You could tell he was carefully wording his questions so as to not pick at any sore topics. By the end of it, you felt as if you both got closer.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner," you apologize, rubbing the back of your neck sheepishly. "I don't know how you'd feel about dating a bug person." Aether laughs and gently nudges your shoulder.

"I've fought giant sea demon kings and the shogun's puppet. I've watched multiple harbingers turn into monstrous versions of themselves. You turning into a butterfly is nothing, y/n," he reasons. He pokes at your face, grinning. "Unless you turn into a giant butterfly monster. Then we have a different problem on our hands."

You laugh at this, the image of you as a giant butterfly laying waste to Teyvat inspiring amusement instead of fear.

"Don't worry, I don't think that'll happen any time soon," you assure him. His smile relaxes and he takes your hand.

Before I start, I would like to say that I'm not slandering or clowning the person that came up with it nor do I feel the need to do so.

They likely don't have the same capacity to peruse the wiki as well as somewhat memorize a good chunk of it like me. They were probably just trying to write a fun, speculative article for a target audience and as such, I'm also having a bit of cheeky fun responding to it. It's all in good faith and fun, after all.

Feel free to share your opinions and thoughts on these as well, but like I said, it's not meant to be taken that seriously. I'm always down to consider other perspectives, but I'd appreciate it if I wasn't attacked for my own, thank you.

Aloy does not count as in Horizon: Zero Dawn, you'd likely find it in much more certain terms than Genshin Impact.

A Very Big Thank You

If you're here reading this, it's safe to assume that you've been following my BenneFischl fic as it is currently being written and updated on Ao3. Before I say anything else, I would like to say thank you in every possible way for supporting this project of mine. There truly are no words to describe how much all the love you give means to me.

I am making this post because there will be a lot of changes moving forward and I want to share them with you!!

The Origin Story™

I started writing Etched in Fire and Lightning about a year and a half ago for an awfully simple reason: I was starved for some BenneFischl content but there's not much abundance of it in the genshin fandom. And so I took matters into my own hands and cooked a massive 12-chapter longfic featuring one of my favorite ships in the game. Originally I was planning a one-shot fluff smut fic but my ego said: "really? your first venture into fanfiction and its a one-shot smut?"

So as you can see, there was also some level of spite involved in the writing of this fic. And yes, this is my first work as a fanfiction writer. I used to be more of a poetry guy so this project was a really big step for me as writer.

I will be taking a much need Hiatus

Yes, I know I know, I'm sorry. But as much as I love this fic, I am admittedly burnt out writing it.

Chapter 6 will for now serve as a mid-point finale of this fic. Admittedly ending on a painful cliffhanger but wrapping up most of the arcs I introduced in the earlier chapters while setting up the rest of the fic to really be about the relationship between Bennett and Fischl.

In the beginning I have promised myself to not work on any other writing project until I am done with EiFaL wanting to be some goody-two-shoes writer who didn't have a million WIPs rotting away in my google drive. But that mindset is currently doing more harm than help.

I want to make it absolutely clear that I not abandoning this fic, I am just taking a break from writing it. I have so many other things I want to write and work on, so many things that I want to share to the world that are being hindered by the toxic promise I made to myself to finish this before anything else.

I'm also taking a break to reevaluate myself as writer and the way I post my work. In case you didn't know Chapters 1 & 4 have received major rewrites and Chapter 2 received a minor rewrite and all other chapters have had minor clean-ups and polishing. This is because I constantly see improvements I can make to the language and storytelling I use in my work. While it is an overall good thing, it comes at the cost of asking my readers (you) to re-read earlier chapters just to make sense of the newer ones (yes the rewrites do affect the story in a noticeable way) and risks confusion if you are unable to read the rewritten chapters. ...so what are my plans?

Change of Pace

Moving forward, there will be an overall slower but more consistent pace with how I will release my works. Currently, I post chapters as soon as they are done, if there are errors or things that need to change, then I do so after a chapter has been posted which is why rewrites have been a big problem. In the future, I will no longer be releasing chapters as soon as they are done and instead wait until I have a few chapters completed and reviewed before I post them all in intervals. This way, you guys will get more consistent content without me being pressured into immediate begin work on a chapter I've just finished one.

"Me too." The blonde stands up. "So where'd you come from?"

He turns around, looks into the tunnel. "I— I think I came out of the void." He faces the blonde again.

The blonde's voice isn't quiet. "What the fuck, you too?"

"Yes, where'd you get out from?" He drags himself out of his hole. Green grass under him now.

The blonde walks. "I dug out at around here, here come check it out." He follows them.

Another hole, as deep as his. They both look down.

"This is where I came out of."

"Ugh, I'm not looking down there. Don't want to see that shit again. I'll just believe you for now." He looks at the blonde.

The blonde starts looking all around them. "Nice to know that somebody else is in this predicament. Don't think you know where this place is either." They look at him. "Wanna be Void Buddies?"

"No. No more voids after today. I'm getting as far away from here as possible and burrying these holes til' they're filled." He looks back at the hole and where he came from.

"You wanna fill the void." He looks at the blonde.

"You know what I mean." A pause. "Do you know where you're from and what you were doing before the void happened to you?"

"Yeah I was beating the Ender Dragon with me and my friends." The blonde looks to the ground, walks aimlessly. "But then . . . I think we all died. Fell into the void too. Fuck I hope they're okay."

"Shit, you too? One minute I'm going to be a hero, the next I'm breaking bedrock." He sighs. "I hope my team is alright. Especially Mune . . . "

"A—" The blonde cuts themself off. Silence. They clear their throat. Their voice is clearer than ever before. "Did you happen to have a sword named The Blade Of Fallen Gods? Armor named after a fellow Godkiller?"

"H— How did you know that, who the hell are you?" He raises his voice, his voice that croaks. They stepp away.

A pause . . . the blonde stutters...

"T0ttle . . . ?" Their gaze is fixated on them.

His voice hitches. "You're the one tottling...Mune . . . ?" He looks at her.

"It's me alright, I had a kitten who was black and she was my familiar of Malum, her name was Malum and...what the hell happened to you? Last I checked your hair isn't blue."

"And you look like Fischl from Genshin Impact."

"Fischl? Genshin Impact?"

A tch. "You're uncultured as always. Where's some water to check myself out?"

"I dunno, it's just trees as far as I can see." BaAaAaAa "And animals."

"Well we've gotta find one then to see how we've changed." T0ttle walks towards nowhere.

"Yeah." Mune follows him.

Animals. Grass under their feet. The only audio for minutes.

The silence breaks to his voice. "So, how did the Void treat you? Are you still alright after it?"

She's quiet... "I'm thinking about it now and I don't actually remember anything. I remember how scared I was of everything, I remember dying and loads of emotions but before I broke bedrock I knew nothing."

They keep walking.

It's getting darker. The sun beyond the trees falls lower.

"How about you?"

"I don't remember anything either. I just know my emotions back then as well."

"That's a problem."

"Yup."

A pond up ahead. They run. Looking into it.

"Oh yes! Holy shit I'm Kaeya!"

"Is he from Genshin Impact also? Did we take over their bodies? Bodyswapping? Are they in our bodies now?"

"No, Kaeya didn't have stars in his hair or stars for freckles everywhere unless I missed something." He looks back at her. "You're also not wearing her Vision either, a gem that gives Fischl her powers."

"Awww, that's sucks. I never saw a gem on you either." She looks at him.

"Daww."

"And our voices are still the same. I feel stupid for not recognizing you earlier."

"We were disoriented and clawed out of the Void, don't beat yoursself over it."

They can see the stars.

She yawns. "It's getting dark."

"Oh shit you're right, quick we've gotta make shelter real quick." He runs to a tree. He collects wood.

She walks to a nearby tree. Chops it down.

Groaning. Rattling.

Swift whispering. "Quick, quick, quick!"

"Yeah yeah yeah!"

He makes a crafting table. A wooden pick.

A shriek. He looks to it. Too many skeletons. They weren't there before. They're surrounding her. They're shooting mobs surrounding them. They're shooting him. He runs behind trees. Walls himself off with wood.

Pitch black.

Rattling. Arrows. Groaning. Her panic.

Wheezing.

Clucking...

The planks in front of him breaks. Mune's face. "It's— it's safe now. They're all gone now! I'm not hurt!"

"Mune. Where the hell did all those skeletons come from?" He breaks down the remaining planks.

"I dunno! One minute a zombie's hitting me the next skeletons are all around me." She digs dirt with a wooden shovel.

"Well then how did you do that?" He follows her into the staircase. He closes the entrance. He's moving sluggishly.

She stops. She looks towards him. "Hey you're emitting light."

"Wha—" He looks down. He can easily sees what's right next to him in the dark. Further along is difficult. "Holy, I am."

She gets behind him. "You can see so you take the lead."

"Huh?! We were stuck in the void, surely you can see in the dark just as well."

Amusement. "You're the nightlight."

A huff. "Fine."

He mines stone.

He mines stone.

He mines coal.

"Oh yes! Torches!"

He places one nearby. He climbs up the steps.

He lights the staircase walls.

He digs into the wall.

A five by five space. Three blocks of height.

He digs out the floor. He places dirt.

"This is probably better to sleep on than just stone."

"Yeh."

She lies down. He lies down.

Fading to black. Shifting in dirt. Tossing. Turning.

There's light now. T0ttle's and torches.

He looks at Mune. She sits against the wall. She looks down.

"Mune . . . you have to sleep . . . "

"I can't and neither can you. You probably just closed your eyes like I did."

" . . . "

"Why can't you sleep?"

"I've slept in worse, several times before but..." she stands up. She paces. "The idea of closing my eyes, laying down on the ground and sleeping paralyzed me. It gave me the same feeling when the zombie hit me and the skeletons popped up to save me."

She stands still.

"Can you describe that feeling?" He gets up.

"I can't I can't, I just think..."

"I think it came from the void."

"Claustrophobia?"

"N- no I haven't felt that. Nothing's wrong with where I sleep, it's sleeping I'm scared off."

"Oh. Well how is your fear of sleeping connected to your new powers?"

"Um . . . I...think it's connected to death somehow. I can see bodies that aren't there. Bodies of people who are dead I think. And I think I pulled a bunch of them out and made them skeletons when I made them..."

"Since when could you raise the dead?"

"I don't know. I don't know anything about how I got this knowledge T0ttle. I know so much about death and dying and raising the dead but I don't know where it came from and— and— it scared me and—"

Voice cracking. Sobbing. "T0ttle I don't think I'm alright! I don't think I'm alright—!"

Hitching. He walks up to her. She raised her arms. Hugging.

"What the fuck did the Void do to us Mune? What the fuck did it do?"

Her sobbing . . .

The intro plays now.

Minecraft Hardcore Survival ft. AbyssBorneDream

Surprise surprise Flesh Torn Voids was in fact a sequel to a Minecraft Hardcore series with little roleplaying if any at all.

There was one main goal across the whole series and it was to defeat the Ender Dragon.

They died trying, ending the series.

Abyss played a character and roleplayed sometimes. G0tt just played the game normally, occasionally playing along with Abyss in roleplaying.

G0tt and Abyss played all by themselves at first but occasionally had guests in the form of some friends. Some guests were temporary while others came back for the final battle against the Ender Dragon.

They all died. Some died on the islands whilst others fell into the void.

Flesh Torn Voids

Years after the end of the Hardcore series, Abyss would get the idea to make a more roleplay-oriented smp. One with mods.

Using their Hardcore series as inspiration, she would come up with the concept of everyone in the final battle having fallen into the void, dead or alive, and be permanently changed by it.

It would take a long time, but everyone escapes the void.

She convinces not just G0tt, but the eight other friends—some of them guests from the past series and some new—to join in.

The degree to which everyone roleplays varies. (See Mune not knowing Genshin Impact because she has no canonical means of knowing it while T0ttle knows it because G0tt knows it)

Nevertheless everyone plays a character, and has a Genshin Skin for the roleplay. It's going to become a reoccuring gag.

Everyone is recording their POVs and uploading them on YouTube. Everyone starts their series around the same time the duo does.

Anyways here's some lore.

The team dies against the Enderdragon and succumbs to the Void.

An unknown period of time later, they all successfully tear open the void with just their limbs, and break bedrock—two feats said to be impossible—and clawed into the world. Let's not even get to how they always resurrect after death as Mune and T0ttle will find.

Aside from Mune and T0ttle, everyone ends up in different dimesions and locations, no matter how illogical.

As they find one another around in this new world, they must work together to rediscover their missing memories, learn why they have these powers now (origins), and bond along the way.

That isn't to say that some people want to pursue the truth, however; they escaped death once, and wish not to tempt fate once again. So please, may they have a life where they may forget death?

Some people like WardeNyah just made their accounts recently since they wanted to join the server.

In terms of the lore, some characters look different than before the void, others do not. Example: WardeNyah's character

When I said that AbyssBorneDream was dedicated to roleplaying? I meant it. If any addons and mods down below are uncompatible, bet on Abyss to have reprogrammed them to be compatible. She also likely modifies them for a friend who wants some part of a mod to work differently, for quality of life chances, or for the sake of the lore.

The Modpack includes: Optifine, Pehkui, Origins, Origins: Umbrellas, Medieval Origins, Lato Origins, Quickster Origins, Volcanic Dragon Origins, Honey Bee Origin, Genesis, Starborne Origin V5.

The Players

Yeah everyone wanted Genshin Impact skins for a Minecraft Roleplay lol. They also take their Skins to other servers like Hypixel or single player worlds as well

That doesn't mean they don't fuck around in Genshin Impact however, they have plenty of fun running around in Teyvat with eachother, wrecking havoc, building shit, mining, exploring the Abyss and trying to build up to Celestia whilst getting smited down again and again.

"cmon cmon we can totally kill Celestia this time around, CMON!"

Somebody asks their friends to help cuz they got lost in the Abyss, set their spawnpoint there and keep gettign spawn killed.

The death messages give everyone an aneurysm.

Someone is gonna try to fight the Players so that they release the Skins from their hold but they'll learn it's futile rip

They also feel everything the Players do with them. From pain to moving, to the beds they sleep in, they still feel everything and maybe it helps with muscle memory for some tricks like speedbridging.

Yeah idk if i mentioned this is Creeper, AWWW Man! but they have inventory as well plus the ability to break and build like a player

Speaking of inventories, anything a Player keeps in their inventory after logging off stays in the inventories of their Skins, meaning the Skins can keep otherworldly shit on them and use it in Teyvat.

Also, uh, if T0ttle, saying that Kaeya has no star freckles nor stars in his hair didn't make it obvious, the Players modified their Skins to fit with their Origins and those changes are permanent to their bodies. Clothes not so much, those can be changed but body modifications are permanent.

Also their origins obviously alter their biologies permanently.

7. who is your least favorite character?

i don't hate anyone ! i mean this with my whole heart. even with like dori she's just kind of a (rolls eyes) character for me. i also kinda grew to tolerate eula at some point even though she's still a (rolls eyes) too. i used to mildly dislike miko but she's ok now, and baizhu who is more of a bwehh type for personal reasons. but again i think everyone is fine and very lovely i love teyvat >w<

20. who is the most useful character in your opinion?

there's zhongli, still the best shielder since 1.1, great for everything, can fit into most teams, if you have him you won't have to worry about taking damage especially if you're bad at dodging. if not zhongli then you should at least pick another shielder to build, like diona is great especially with cryo dpses. some of the higher investment 4*s like bennett, xingqiu, xiangling, fischl - everyone else has their own kind of niche but you can never go wrong with raising these four, at least bennett if no one else. he's a double healer and buffer which will do you well especially in endgame content. xingqiu as an off-field hydro applicator who deals a lot of damage when built well (yelan is better in this role but i believe c6 xingqiu can definitely compare to her). xiangling is actually a beast as one of the standing burst pyro dpses who works in the national comp with bennett and xingqiu. and then fischl as a well-rounded off field electro dps and battery to pair with your hydro or dendro dpses ! speaking of dendro nahida is just really great, and i believe shinobu has also become a top pick as electro support in dendro teams since she heals, but probably otherwise fischl is better since fischl can deal significant damage. funnily enough with the introduction of dendro, it seems like most people have been using raiden shogun less as a hypercarry and more as an electro enabler in dendro teams, but i remember raiden national being a really good comp too. there's also the category of anemo ccs like sucrose, kazuha, venti - i don't think venti is very good nowadays but kazuha is definitely up there being one of the best and sucrose is basically budget kazuha. for main dpses it's extremely volatile, like in my time the top 3 were ayaka, hu tao, and ganyu, but i think ganyu has fallen off. hu tao and ayaka are still great though in pyro and cryo respectively, and according to my qpp neuvillette is the number 1 dps right now especially with fontaine rolling out a new hydro meta. navia is also very good in terms of pure damage but she's like way different from her geo friends. and thenn i believe for dendro the top pick is alhaitham. i'm not saying that out of bias at all i'm pretty sure he is HSJDHS. electro and anemo are a bit obsolete at this moment in terms of dps since electro is mostly used to pair for dendro and anemo just can't beat the support element allegations. xiao fell off a long time ago and apparently wanderer wasn't very good either. but i do think these two have a fun playstyle and as long as you have fun yknow!

23. bow, sword, polearm, claymore or catalyst?

my favorite is polearm followed by sword! i looove spamming fast attacks. my favorites have always been those like zhongli, rosaria, xiao, thoma, cyno, and then sword of course being aya - i also enjoy bow but i kind of have skill issue with them... i think because i play tighnari a lot on my qpp's account and he does have a fun playstyle to me !

Genshin Ships I actually like!

Said I'd do a follow-up post so here it is. I feel like there's more ships I either like or don't really care abt much than one's I dislike, but I'll just list the ones I like with a little caption of why.

Xingqui x Chongyun - this one is just so good. contender for my fav ship. you pretty much never see one without the other. they have a silly dynamic that I think is harmless and fun to see. big fan of time skip au's for this one specifically (I like to see how they've grown as ppl it makes me proud)

BeiNing - old married couple, like cmon "they don't like each other but will show up to hang out and play chess and will even ignore law-breaking for" bruh that's gay as hell. not even rivals literally just lovers.

Ayaka x Nilou - crackship, They're both criticized for being boring which I sometimes agree with (tho only with Ayaka but that's just because I wish she was a little more adventurous cause she's proven time and time again she's very capable of fending for herself). I think they would get along so well like they'd AT LEAST be besties. couples dance?? cute as fuck. also was on by fueled by that stupid ass Aether harem shit.

EiMiko - Miko really is just like the only person not afraid to challenge Ei on a normal basis and not get smitten, hell they get along too. For Ei, imo, it's either Miko or Aroace (which I lowkey like a little better but I still like this ship). Also Miko is gay gay homosexual gay (my Dad works at Mihoyo and confirmed so)

XinYun - MUSIC BABES, girls supporting girls you love to see it, joint performances??? adorable, lantern rite when Yun Jin was running around with Xinyan? CUTE. they're both so adorable and their personalities complement each other well. they're so cute together like I can't. another contender for fav

CyNari - third contender for fav, idk why I like this ship so much. it's Collei's found family older brother Tighnari and goofy ahh brother-in-law Cyno along with her cool big sis, Amber.

XiaoVen - this one grew on me ALOT once I started ignoring other ppl that ship this (sorry but you guys tend to be lowkey annoying and immature probably because you're young and spend way too much time online to respectfully be able to deal with ppl you don't agree with...) anyways I mainly like the potential dynamic these two can have.

Baizhu x Zhongli - two distinguished men that I think should love each other. that's it.

Itto x Sara - holy shit a straight genshin ship?? unheard of. anyways I like the goofball and stickler rival dynamic between them so yea I like this one. think of the shenanigans that could ensue.

Kaeya x Rosaria - the gayest straight ship I've seen since Jessie and James from team rocket. bro drinking buddies to lovers is kind of interesting. I am intrigued and wanna see this ship explored more.

Kazuha x Heizou - unsurprisingly I ship my 2 favorite characters. Like come on they'd be a perfect crime-solving duo!! Also, they get along great so like why not?

Honorable Mentions- Ayato x Itto (lmao), Eula x Amber (cute), Bennett x Fischl (boyloser and goth gf), Bennett x Razor (another cute one), Kazuha x Scaramouche (not explaining), Ganyu x Keqing (work wives fr)
