This would actually be a really cool rewrite and a really cool way to fully flesh out the story while also giving it an interesting end. I like the change in Yhwach's motivation, the deal he made with Yamamoto. It makes it more compelling and also kinda makes Ichigo's powers less Gary Sue-esque, I guess. Him having a part of Hogyoku, a part of the Soul King within him, thus stabalizing his soul when he was a child because I'm pretty they said somewhere that he should've been torn in the womb for being a hybrid mess of Shinigami-Hollow-Quincy-Human. His powers kind of being sealed so he could a human was Kisuke's wish for Hogyoku so it did that but over time, Ichigo grew stronger and more aware of spirits.

Rukia and the Hogyoku Aizen planted inside her kickstarting his powers makes their whole friendship way more awesome as well because they're actually connected in a spiritual way. It makes Aizen and Ichigo's final fight more impactful-- the two halves of the Hogyoku fighting

Ichigo sealing his own powers away after Aizen is gones but slowly getting them back. Ginjo hearing about him and his powers and becoming interested. He wants to steal the Hogyoku in Ichigo but ends up only stealing a portion of it. Ichigo, believing that he had now lost his powers indirectly sealed them once more and Rukia comes back to kickstart it once more because even if the half of the hogyoku that had been in her is gone, some of it's reiatsu lingered and that came through in their connection along with all the other captains reiatsu

Ichigo gets his powers back and blah blah blah but rather than Ginjo training Ichigo and all that shit, it's more of Orihime and Chad's arc where he only joined because he was unwilling to leave them to this weird shady guy that wouldn't leave him the fuck alone

The whole thing about the zero squad and Yhwach using Ichigo to find where them and the Soul King were hidden is a really cool idea as well

Having the Soul King actually have a consciousness rather than being sealed away in an orb and a mutilated body kinda sounds like a cool idea too. Him making the conditions of the SS better (especially for RUKONGAI, yes I'm fucking bitter about that)

I'd be content with that sort of ending but if you wanna include the hell arc you can still do all the same shit as canon cause I'm pretty sure it was stated in one of the light novels that the Soul King didn't do anything to Hell beyond closing the gates

But in comes Kazui the even weirder hybrid. Who apparently sends innocent souls to hell behind his parents back??

But whatever. Yk those creepy hollows from hell that we saw in the No Breathes From Hell one shot? Yeah, I want Orihime's mom to have been attacked by one of those guys and that's how she became a fullbring. Yes, I'm doing that because my girl deserves actual screen time and some explaination on how exactly she became a fullbring just from proximity to Ichigo's reiatsu. If that was true, Tatsuki, Mizuiro, and Keigo should've gotten powers as well.

Anyways so some weird soul/genetic bullshit happened and Kazui, rather than having similar hollow powers to his dad, is a Shinigami-Hell Hollow-Quincy-Human (Fullbring I guess??) hybrid.

That's why he can open the gates of hell the way he did.

Also him taking a part of the Hogyoku from Ichigo in order for his soul to be stabalized

(Wow, the Kurosaki line is so fucked up when you think about it. If Kazui and Ichika are a thing like Kubo was hinting at, the soul situation of their offspring would be so fucking weird)

Anyways back to what I was saying, whoever the antogonist of the Hell arc is probably manipulating the kid and teaching him some fucked up shit and that's why his parents seem to have no clue

I'm pretty sure Hell is said to be an actual entity so maybe it's using Kazui in order to upset the balance because he's sending souls to hell right? Idk why it would do that but it'll be like an army and all the dead captains, arrancar and quincy.... yikes, they'll be facing the original gotei and all the other dead captains and Kenpachis

Since Yhwach is kinda gone in this rewrite you wouldn't have Kazui absorbing/destroying/what ever he did to Yhwach's soul wouldn't happen

Mother and Son (Final Rose x Bleach)

Masaki’s eyes widened as the Hollow closed in and her Quincy powers stuttered and failed to activate.

No!

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ichigo. She had to protect him! It didn’t matter if her Quincy powers weren’t working. He was her son. If she had to give her life then -

SQUELCH.

The Hollow crashed to the ground, split cleanly in two. There was another whistling sound and the halves became quarters. And still the Hollow tried to rise only to be crushed into pulp by an overwhelming force from above that cracked the pavement and sent the rain flying outward.

Masaki stumbled to a stop beside Ichigo and moved in front of him.

“Who’s there?” she shouted. “Who did that?”

A figure emerged from amidst the carnage. Her eyes narrowed. What... what was she looking at?

Her spiritual senses were telling her that the person in front of her was a normal human woman, but that was impossible. A normal human could never have done what she’d just seen, which meant that this person had the ability to camouflage their spiritual power perfectly.

“Hello there.” The woman had sapphire eyes and dark, spiky hair. “You’re not injured, are you? I wasn’t going to intervene, but then your powers just... stopped working.” The woman smiled, and her teeth were just a bit too long and a bit too sharp to be human. “And don’t worry. I’m not with this loser.” The woman raised her hand, and the soul and pulped, broken remains of the Hollow flowed into a sphere of spiritual power and gore that the woman devoured with obvious relish. “Hmm... not too bad. It takes a bit like beef.”

“What... what are you?” Masaki whispered.

“You know,” the woman said. “I’ve always had a soft spot for kids... and their parents. Whatever I am, you don’t have to worry about me going after you or your family unless you go after me first.” She tilted her head to one side. “Are your powers still not working?”

Masaki tried to use her powers again, but they were gone... like there was a hole in her soul. She needed to talk to her husband and Ryuken about this, not to mention Urahara. Something was very, very wrong. “No.”

“Hmm... you’re a Quincy, right?” The woman walked closer, and Masaki took a reflexive step back, careful to keep Ichigo sheltered behind her. Her son was clinging onto her tightly, but she did her best to soothe his concerns, running one hand through his hair. “Relax. I already said you don’t have anything to fear from me.” She grinned. “Would it help if I promised?”

“Uh...”

“Heh. Probably not.” The woman chuckled. “Would it help if I said that if I wanted you and the rest of the city dead, you all would be?”

“No!” Masaki cried.

“Yeah. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.” The woman laughed. “I’m sorry. It’s the company I keep. Anyway, why don’t I walk you and your kid home. Without your powers you’re a sitting duck for Hollows, but you’re exactly the kind of tasty morsel they’ll go after.”

“...”

“Oh, fine.” The woman reached into empty space and then tossed a sword to Masaki. “If you’re so worried, you can have that.”

Masaki caught the sword. “What is this?”

“It’s a little something I put together as a... test. That sword is made of materials that are designed to damage spiritual beings like Hollows and Soul Reapers. It can also absorb ambient spiritual power to fuel other functions like throwing energy blasts.” The woman snickered. “But don’t go pointing it at a Vasto Lorde or something. That wouldn’t end well.”

“Why would you give me this?”

“Because it’s a trinket to me, and I’ve already come up with better weapons. But right now, you need it.” The woman shrugged. “And that kid of yours is wearing the right sort of merchandise. How could I let a Gary fan lose their mother?”

“Gary?” Masaki stared. Gary was the new cartoon that had come out. It was popular with all the kids, and Ichigo had won a hat as a prize in a raffle at the local shopping mall the other day. It was a garish orange, but he seemed to like it. “That’s...” She sighed. “You know what? Fine. If you want to walk us home, be my guest. If you were going to hurt us, you probably would have by now.” She paused. “And what should I call you?”

“Call me...” The woman paused dramatically. “Claw.”

Author’s Notes

Diana was planning on eating Grand Fisher because she doesn’t like him, but she thought she’d let Masaki deal with him since it would give her an opportunity to see another Quincy in action. When her powers failed, she decided to intervene since, as Diana says, she’s got a soft spot for kids and their parents.

At this point in the timeline, Diana has already eaten enough people to understand how to perfectly camouflage her spiritual pressure, which what allows her to go to the Human World and do all sorts of things... like spread Gary to another world.

It's mega crossover fusion of Hobie leading a team of Spiderpunk Variants,my choices for the mantle giving based on their similarities to Hobie himself.This au was created with the purpose of Hobie appreciation outside of shipping!!

The other Spiderpunks are all black,either mixed or monoracial,regardless of canonicity but i did include mostly canon black characters!

They're completely seperate from Spider Society in affiliation,either completely or by the time of Issue 1 depending on the Spiderpunk in question

Percy is the Team Parent since he is in his books and the kids view him are as their big sibling figure and pseudo-parent and the other adults and him are found siblings except him and Stephanie who're just regular besties.There's no interteam ships except Kat x Nimona,which is instant best friends to lovers

If you ask any of the Bleach youtubers, they'll justify Ichigo completely abandoning his signature style because he's embraced 'formlessness', citing one Buddhist concept or other as proof. Which, alright, fair call. Bleach does have a lot of buddhist imagery and invokes a number of metaphors/allegories).

The problem Kubo has is the original Bankai and that silhouette is so iconic of Ichigo from Soul Society to Fullbring, that I'm half-way convinced the TYBW design is Kubo pranking us. The arc was already a cosmic joke but Ichigo's joke bankai is the icing on the cake.

As for Ichigo's fighting style? God almighty. The final arc is a pretty fucking terrible time to respec into dual wielding.

Setting aside for the moment dual wielding is inherently weaker as a combat form because you require twice the amount of effort to produce half the results, in the timeline of events Ichigo had his two blades for maybe two days, four days max. Yet some fucking how, through protag Gary Stu bullshit, he's become a master swordsman who puts Kyoraku and Ukitake to shame? Immortals with thousands of years of experience?

When it would make infinitely more sense if Ichigo kept the second smaller blade sheathed. Relying primarily on his long blade because that is the form he's used to, (and the end of reality is piss poor time to test new DPS specs). but if an enemy manages to sneak past the long blade, Ichigo has the second blade as a quick draw, ready to deflect and defend.

Which helpfully emphasizes their roles. The long blade is his offense power, the short blade is defensive.

You're much generous than I when it comes to that so-called 'true' bankai. You're ambivalent to it, I categorically reject its existence.

I'm rewatching TYBW and just can't accept that I won't see these two forms ever again. I know that during the war Ichigo has figured out who he is, but these two designs (his Shinigami + Fullbringer powers and the Hollow Mask) were so iconic. And, like, his Shikai and the uniform seemed so much prettier... And the tattoos... Ichigo was soooo pretty like that. I miss that form so bad.
