i saw this tweet and found it interesting for two reasons. one is that some people base how good cartoon network would be to toh by how it treated su, and despite the fact that su’s treatment by the network was considered poor at the time, now its thought to be exceptionally good in comparison to modern shows.

two is how exactly su got impacted by a limited budget. a common criticism is how characters like connie, peridot, and lapis are left out of missions. but balancing a lot of characters is not only hard but also costly (extra animation, extra voices—it’s been revealed that the show is limited to a set number of characters per episode otherwise they’re over budget). animation mistakes are not uncommon since retakes cost extra. the entire reason the original show got cut short was due to loss of funding!

I feel like because for the majority of Shameless Gallavich had it REALLY bad, like ATROCIOUSLY bad, like nothing good ever happened to them bad, I can't really get my head around the fact that they ended married, you know. Like what do you mean the same people that got beaten, pistol whipped and raped for loving each other ended up married with neverending love and happiness???? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE FINALE WAS BASED AROUND THEIR MARITAL BLISS??????

Cleaning his bedroom before moving out of the Gallaghers house, Ian found an old jacket Mickey left there since his arrest

As he held it close to his face, the subtle scent of tobacco on the leather made his chest get tight. Mickey's pleasing smell, still there.

Hugging it close to him, he felt something solid in the pocket. A small black velvet box, with an engraved golden ring inside.

It took him a minute to comprehend why there was no gun in the room, but his heart felt like it was shot

Mickey was just trying to mind his damn business. 

Since moving into their own place, he’d developed a real passion for home repair. Every weekend, he’d strap on a power tool and go to town - electrical, plumbing, HVAC - he did it all. 

Until he’d catch Ian gawking at him - intense-ass green eyes boring a hole through his t-shirt. 

“Doin’ something Ian.”

“Pretend I’m not here.” 

“Can’t work with you creepin’ on me…”

“Mickey, you’re driving me wild...”

One hour later.

“Can I go back to work now?”

“Yep. Gonna make dinner.” Ian kisses his cheek. “Can’t wait ‘til next weekend.”

Bit city is such a great idea because it's a mix of multiple things and the only fixed format it has is Changela being hosts and the ending.

Some things may hit more than others but I always find myself enjoying the dynamics of the cast and loving a lot of its parts.

I really hope that it takes off one way or another for any of its bits. It's such a labor of love and you can tell they all have so much fun doing it.

Also yes Olivia you are so right Angela is incredibly attractive and gives daddy with her host fit

Galladrabbles #143 - “Mine” Take 2

Hi it’s 4:42 in the morning and I woke up thinking about Galladads

“She’s mine,” he says, voice full of awe.

His baby, his daughter.

He’s holding a little girl, and she’s his, and he gets to take care of her until the day he dies.

He gets to be the dad he should have had, the dad she deserves. Gets to be there for her first day of school, her graduation, her first heartbreak, her wedding day.

He gets to pick out her clothes and hear her laugh, gets to tell whoever will listen about his daughter.

She’s so little and she’s so perfect and she’s his.

i just feel like ian would always be wanting to slow dance with mickey. like all the time. he'd be a little cheeseball and put on music and make mickey dance with him just because he loves him and wants to be close to his hubby <3

Mickey always lets Ian pick the music when they're cooking together, and Ian is always grateful. He loves Mickey's dad rock Spotify playlists, but after listening to them all day when they're out on the job, all Ian really wants to put on some slow, soft, indie music to help him relax.

He and Mickey jabber their way through making supper, Ian talking about some family drama happening between Lip and Tami and Mickey going on about Iggy trying to find a legal job. They keep yapping all the way through their meal, too, just enjoying hearing each other talk. Listening to the other's stories about what's going on with their respective in-laws, mostly, since they spend pretty much all day together.

Once they're done eating, Ian gets up and takes their dishes to the sink while Mickey reminds him that they need to kid-proof the apartment for Franny's stay this weekend. Ian chuckles and gives a quiet "I know, Mick, I remember" as he grabs his phone and changes the music.

He turns back to Mickey, a big grin on his face, as the strings start playing over the small speaker.

♫ At last...

My love has come along ♫

He holds out his hands for Mickey, who rolls his eyes, but still takes them and stands with a grin.

"Fuckin' sap," Mickey teases, shaking his head with a small chuckle and wrapping his arms around Ian's waist.

♫ My lonely days, are over ♫

"You know it, baby," Ian smiles, leaning in to Mickey's teasing and wrapping his arms around his husband.

♫ And life is like a song...

Oh, yeah, yeah ♫

Ian pulls Mickey close and Mickey leans his head on Ian's chest, letting him take the lead in swaying them back and forth to the music.

♫ At last

The skies above are blue ♫

They move back and forth together in their small kitchen and dining space, swaying along to the music and enjoying a soft moment made just for them.

This, Ian thinks, is the perfect way to finish a busy Tuesday.

Just because lip is smart doesn't mean he isn't just as much of a child as Ian. They have a one year difference? Blaming lip for not doing anything about kash isn't the take some of you guys think it is. Yes he could have done more, he should have told fiona but its not hard to see why he doesn't.

He grows up around unhealthy relationships just like ian and Debbie. It's very likely he could have fallen into the same kinda relationships they did (backed up when he starts sleeping with his professor even if its not exactly the same) Lip is ians bsf and doesn't take parental responsibility over him. He looks after him but not like that. He's choosing to trust ian and pick ians happiness over his safety. (I'm using happiness cause I can't find a word that fits better)

And to lips credit, he tries. He knows it's wrong on paper. Knowing something is wrong and actually encountering it are so different. There are things that get in the way irl that don't in theory. Like, Ian physically fighting back when lip attempts to help him.

Anyway, I just think it's important to understand that lip doesn't know everything and that navigating a situation like that is hard for a child. It's especially hard when that child has grown up in an environment that likely never made him feel like its wrong.

“With all the blood?” Ian splutters. “And— and the fucking needles and shit? Jesus, Mick, what the hell were you thinking?”

“The fuck was I suppose to know the warden was gonna let me check out on the prison bus?” Mickey runs a soothing hand up Ian’s jaw. “Fuckin’ missed you…”

Ian immediately softens, letting Mickey kiss him as he guides them towards the bed.

“Shit—” Ian pulls away sharply. “Do I gotta worry about your jizz being radioactive now?” 

Mickey smirks, falling back and pulling Ian down on top of him. “Only one way to find out, big guy.”

You know, if you pause 5x10 at exactly the right moment, Ian and Mickey go on a date at Sizzler's like they said they would. They go into the house, Sammy's not there, they wash the blood off of each other's faces, all while being goofy and silly and intoxicated with beer and love, Mickey borrows one of Ian's shirts and they almost fuck because Ian saw Mickey shirtless and couldn't help himself, but they compose themselves and go to their date. They order steaks and they're happy. Ian feels like himself for the first time in a long time, Mickey's happy that Ian finally feels good. They smile at each other like dumb fucking teenagers. People are kind of staring at them, mostly because their faces are bruised and still sorta bloody, but they don't care. Right then and there, they love each other and they know they do. Hell, maybe they even say it to each other for the first time. The euphoria is unreal. They're happy.
