we got one (1) soundwin scene and a lot of crumbs 

it honestly felt like we got more tiwpor than we did soundwin, which is awesome bc tiwpor deserve their time to shine, but also soundwin are killing me and ive been waiting for the flirting all week and all we got was a cheek-pinch and that’s about it 

and the 3/4 part of the episode had basically ZERO SOUNDWIN?? which never happens?????

and then that freaking PREVIEW??? 

THEY MADE IT INTENTIONALLY AMBIGUOUS SO WE HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE WHAT’S GONNA BLOODY HAPPEN 

however i do see tiwpor standing alone in a stairwell and por tripping down the stairs and tiw being super worried so TIWPOR NEXT EPISODE??? but also 'im being punished because i forgot to redeem my wish' WHAT DOES THAT MEAN i mean i know it's probably referring to when they made wishes to the buddha statue in episode 9, but what does he mean 'redeem my wish'? and what was his wish? did he wish for what everyone thought they were each wishing for (to win hot wave)? or did he wish for something to do with tiw? and does ‘redeem my wish’ mean his wish didnt come true, and he needs to apologise for some reason (it’s 1:30 in the morning i cant think of a reason rn man), or does it mean his wish did come true and he forgot to thank the buddha/make sure the wish continued by going back to the buddha? (also i very much hope im using the right word for the statue they wished/prayed to in episode 9, i know next to nothing about buddhism so someone pls correct me if im using the wrong terms and stuff) 

and i think they're trekking back up to the buddha statue, cos it looks like the same place, but on the way there por gets really thirsty but they cant drink them cos those are their offerings? and also if you look closely on the trekk up there's win and por and yo travelling together to support yo, but win is using the crutches, and behind them you can see pat walking with his arm around sound for support???? 

and then an argument arises in the group (more specifically: between win and pat, which is very not predictable at all???? like win id expect but why pat??)

and gun didnt wish for them to win hot wave, he just wanted them to not be disappointed for being in the club. and then they have a group hug.

and then tinn says "so that means you and i..." and seems to be leaning in for a kiss and then the preview ends?????

im getting mixed messages, i have so many freaking questions, HOW DO WE WAIT A WEEK FOR THIS????

Ever since I sent that ask I've wondered... what made you put the songs on there that you did? In other words, why is each song on there? Feel free to ignore this if you don't want to answer, but I've just been curious for a while about each song's significance on the playlist. for the songs, some songs are ones I've heard on other mayor attorney playlists and added them to mine, others are ones ive had little animatics in my head for, and some are just songs with the vibes that remind me of them jsahdsdf, i could go into depth on all the songs but we'd be here forever so ill just go to the more general explanations. it'l be below the cut just bc i accidentally wrote a lot for this asjkhdbaskjd

for the playlist, i tried dividing the songs into roughly three categories: university days, election years, and post-darkness/mirror.

the first section is university days, where it would be songs about crushes, cozy and upbeat songs that make you feel happy and excited, and old songs that had good vibes to them. it was meant to symbolize the vibes and emotions of when damien n the da would have first met. everything is new and exciting, things feel comfortable and okay, and the love is positive and all-around consuming.

the second is election years, which is more for songs that are the same level of pining as university days but more sadder in a sense. this starts around sweater weather i think (these sections arnt hard areas of the playlist, they slowly transition between them but this section i can certainly say where it starts) . this is for the realization between the two that there is a small chance of them being together in this time, whether its because your/the da isn't female identifying at the time or maybe its public eyes making it hard for two people in positions of power to date, either way this is for the realization that they cant be together. they continue being friends and pining, but theres the helplessness of not being able to date, or at least not publicly.

then we get to post-darkness/mirror. it starts off with songs about remembering the past: when i met you, daisy bell, i hear a symphony, always, the night we met. this is directly after the da gets trapped in the mirror, trying to remember the days before everything happened, when they were with the damien they remember. then begins the mirror part, where both the da and dark/damien think about the other. this section is rather loose because its mainly my own hopes that the two still care for each other, losing all the initial anger they had from the party and replaced with a dull hope. its the angst section if you will. its less stronger in explanation because its all depending on what you hope for them. maybe they want to rescue each other still, maybe they gave up and just reminisce about the past with hurt but still caring lens, maybe all they can do is wait it out, maybe they find each other and see what the others become, maybe they still love each other regardless. its loose because thats how markiplier lore is, and its open for interpretation askjhd

8. Is there a certain song or playlist of songs you have that make you think of an OC/your story for them?

I have playlists for some of the other characters as well but they’re not really as good imo + they don’t have as many songs. I do like this one I think it captures the character pretty well both lyrically and sonically. my Spotify playlist magnum opus

10. Do any of your OCs contain any symbolism in themselves/their story?

Yes ok I’ll make a list of everything Ive like either actually used or thought abt in depth of so far. In no particular order:

Melanie: water/rain/drowning to represent like. Depression. Very original I know lol

Tiago: Birds to represent freedom (from other people from the past from your own mistakes just like in general)

Victor: water again but this time it’s like to represent whenever he’s in danger (it’s like as a callback to his backstory where he unfortunately very sadly tragically drowned and died. I mean he’s ok now)

Angel: color scheme switches from mostly yellow/gold to mostly green to represent like becoming more down to earth and living in the real world instead of like his own (incredibly self-aggrandizing and inaccurate) perception. Similarly he starts out wearing a lot of jewelry and then doesn’t so much as the story goes on. I should draw like his design at the beginning of the story vs his design at the end that would be fun

Rocio: The night sky + the open ocean. Not really supposed to directly represent or be a metaphor for anything other than like what they are which is like a vast mostly empty space that you lose it if you stare into it for too long. So I guess it’s not a symbol. it’s just that she is weirdly obsessed with like the feeling they evoke and so thinks abt them a lot. They’re incorporated into her outfit

Cirillo: Light vs darkness but usually like with regards to his relationship with other characters, like he’ll be inside with warm lighting talking to people whereas Rocio is waiting outside and it’s dark and she’s by herself, or like he’ll be holding a lantern so people can see, things like that

Aya: nature/plant life to contrast with the cyberpunk city they live in where there are like 0 living creatures except for humans aliens and like bugs sometimes. Very occasionally birds

This probably all sounds super pretentious 😭 but like it is in the story as well. It’s fine it’s ok 

11. Which character has been through the most design changes?

In terms of volume probably Rocio they’ve had 3 completely different and solidified designs whereas most other characters (Cirillo, Angel, Gloria, Jacinto, Laura, and from other stories Grace and Saida) have been through 1 previous iteration before the current design they have. Maybe Tane as well (not from the main story) because his age and like the nature of his character has changed a lot. Only problem is I only actually drew the current version and like the first idea I had lol so does that really count? I don’t think so I think he still has only 2. Yeah I don’t really do that many passes of designs on characters :P I usually just go beta design > refine it to the design I use forever into thr future. The maximum so far is 3. 

Wait actually it might be Remy bc ive had him for a while he might have had 4 iterations. Yes ok I think he did it was 80s aerobics themed beta design barely even recognizable > indie musician flannel shirt design w/blue skin > kinda cutesy idol type outfit w/purple skin > current vaguely scenecore mostly just whatever bright colors I could think of outfit with pink skin and sharp teeth. He was deyassified and then yassified again. Only consistent characteristic being elf ears and curly light colored hair

(I need to put up warnings for this both hilarious yet triggering fic. Bella was abused by Renee and it fucked her up good. Not gonna lie, I was very close to smashing a wall when reading Bella's thoughts and what she's been through, but at the same time, the tone of the fic made it easier to handle the topic at hand. It's so fucking funny how Awkward both Bella and Jasper are in this?? Seriously, they felt like such teens and Jasper made me laugh out loud multiple times, he's such an awkward Mess and it's fantastic, oh lord. I love how the author characterizes them and the rest of the Cullens and especially Charlie (bless that man), and how the author handles Bella's trauma. It felt so visceral and anxiety-driven, I felt so much for her. Also, the author fixed Edward! He's chill, thank the lord.)
