I got a very long ask and wrote even longer reply, and now Tumblr for some reason doesn't want to publish it through asks. So I'm making a separate post, because what else can I do? 😀 I hope Anon wouldn't mind
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi!
Thank you for such a long ask! I really enjoy replying those, although it may take some time to actually write whatever I have on my mind 🙂 However, I feel like for every question that you posed, it's possible to write its own big reply or even an essay, so this piece of mine probably won’t give them justice (but I’ll try my best.)
As usual, one big IMO.
1) Ethics, “gueer coding” and discussions
I believe I’ve already partly touched this subject here. Shortly, I think that everything the boys did (and still do) had its own purpose. They decided to put these "undertones" (or whatever one may call them) in their art. They made some statements with a very small room for interpretation. And it didn't happen once or twice. More like, it's been a consistent behaviour throughout years.
I don't buy this excuse some fans write - "oh, he just didn't know about this/didn't understand how it looked like/didn't..." So apparently, JK wasn't able to figure out shit about Troye, didn't give a damn about his GCF, didn't think how his tattoo looked like; JM didn't realize to what conclusions could lead his quite bold words about 4am or waking up and seeing JK; both of them didn't have second thoughts about the Black Swan dance; Bang PD is just a CEO who pays zero attention to BTS in general and KM actions in particular (which sometimes actually backlash, e.g. that stop gay fanservice thing after the Seoul concerts), because he clearly just doesn't care AT ALL; whatever PR service they have in BH is just asleep all the time... Etc etc etc, you got the idea
Well, if one wants to perceive JM, JK and BigHit as a group of complete morons with no brains, this "oh, they just didn't know" explanation may work. But if all of them were idiots, how would BTS become the biggest group on a planet? They are smart enough, deal with this.
And YET. KM still do what they do. It's their choice, so apparently they have their motives. You wrote it yourself too - "Jikook and BH put out all that stuff for a reason."
Keeping this in mind, I truly think it's fair to discuss queer undertones or KM's bond. It's meant to be discussed and speculated. They made it public, and they continue to make it public (and quite obvious, to be honest). Why? Well, I guess they want us to speculate.
From here comes the second point
2) Art and its interpretations
In general, I believe that any good art should allow various interpretations. That's what a good piece of art is supposed to do - provoke a thought. As well as it's quite customary to analyze and (sometimes) overanalyze art. Thousands of universities worldwide have programs which are focused on fine art, literature, theater, music, film, etc.
And why is it okay to write about Avengers or Madonna or whatever weird art you're able to find in the closest Contemporary museum (like a banana taped to a wall), but not okay to interpret BTS' songs and/or performances? Again, I strongly believe that art is meant to be discussed. Especially as cool as theirs 🙂
Actually, some popular fandom theories turned out to be true here. Since Spring Day release on Feb 2017, fans speculated about its connection to the Sewol ferry tragedy based on the song's lyrics, MV and choreo. We got this confirmation like when, December 2020? But before it was also just an interpretation.
Coming back to KM. Combining these with the idea that JM/JK/BH clearly know what they're doing and how it may look like, I don't see a problem in having various interpretation of their art. Including queer ones.
3) Escapism
Isn't all art targeted to escaping in a sense? We want to take a break from reality and/or mundane life or just gain some new experience. In this sense what's the radical difference between staring at pictures or sculptures in a museum, watching a movie, reading a book or scrolling through Tumblr reading BTS/KM centric posts? All of these are means to escape and entertain ourselves.
As for this "if they are a queer couple, is it okay to derive pleasure and 'what a beautiful love story' feelings from two members of systematically oppressed minority?" - and you would prefer doing what - ignoring them? pretending that they don't exist? 🙃 In case if they are a queer couple, I guess showing support and benevolence is even more important. Exactly because, as you mentioned, they are a part of the oppressed minority. And the hatred is/would be definitely in place.
4) Fanfiction
Oh my, what a controversial theme these days.
Firstly, some forget it was not invented in the 21st century. Even slash fanfiction (cough Star cough Trek). As for incorporating real people, it's been a part of literature for like what.. always? There are millions of different writings about emperors, nobles, military figures, lives of saints, etc. And it's not like personal opinion of people in question bothered those, who write or wrote about them. I clearly remember a scene in Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace, where Alexander I [Russian emperor 1801-25] after losing a battle against Napoleon, hits a birch tree with his sword while crying hard and just being kinda hysterical. Would real Alexander be satisfied with such image if he read the book? Idk 😄
About having "the right to comment on such [different from your own] experience". I suppose, if authors wrote only about what they had experienced, our literature would be 95% poorer than it is. How can one write books in historic settings if they didn't live there? How do books about future and space travel exist, if we live in 2021? Is it needed to be a part of mafia to write about mafia? What about other cultures? Should an American author write only about American people and American lifestyle or it's fine to have characters from other countries?
Writing is not about experiencing something and then making a fanfic or a book, it's more about research and compassion. If you have reliable info on your theme and are able to look at the world using different lenses, why not?
I don't perceive fanfiction as a worldwide evil. Sure, there are creepy examples as well as authors, who write fetishizing weird shit. But it doesn't mean that all fanfiction=bad and all slash fanfiction=objectification of male homosexuality. Fanfiction is just one form of fiction, it can be good or bad based on how it's written. But the label itself doesn't define anything, as well as reading it should not be a reason to accusations.
5) Jikook, shipping and politics
I'm among those, who perceive pretty much everything as a part of politics. We all exist within some political conventions and have certain political laws over our heads. And yes, it includes art. Even if an artist says something like "oh, I decided to stay away from politics, my work is beyond it". The decision to stay away from politics is also political, because apparently there was something within the political structure what made this artist say that and forced them to make this distinction between them and some institutional conventions.
And that makes me believe that shipping/supporting KM is also political. But I don't think it's necessarily bad? Basically, you decided to support potentially queer people from a country, which doesn't really approve LGBTQ+. It puts you in the opposition towards a particular government. You made a choice. You could google some SK stuff, read all that you mentioned in the beginning of your ask, and say something like "oh, that's not okay there? well, fair enough, I guess their government knows better"🤠 and forget that this KM thing even exists. But apparently you didn't
Imo, is it politics? Yes
Is it bad that it's politics? Well, no? 🙃
|
P.S. I hope I was clear enough with my ideas. Thank you again for the thought provoking ask, and I hope I'll hear from you again 🙂
And honestly, I don't think that you're problematic in any way :)

247 aka Lilili Yabbay pt 2/dark vers.
Welcome to another choreography appreciation post that’s going to be long AF - full of gifs and this time including song analysis because it’s just as important as their choreography choices. I would read the lyrics to this song before reading this post because I’ll be referencing them quite a bit in this appreciation/analysis post.
First things first - can we applaud the performance team for putting this piece of performance art together while/between prepping for their concert, comeback AND showcase?
Tumblr media
Secondly - the true beauty this song/choreography is its impact in the story arc that is the performance units songs. For those who don’t know, Dance of Month 13/Lilili Yabbay, Moonwalker, Shhh and 247 all exist in the same story arc and I believe 247 to be the culmination of said story arc.
Lilili Yabbay introduces their lover - someone who “lives in their dreams” and from whom they “dance in the moonlight”. This is a lover they are separated from, a lover they have yet to meet but are constantly searching for. There is hope and faith that they will meet in month 13 and a belief that their lover won’t disappear. No matter what, they will still be there, searching and waiting.
We move to Moonwalker where deep in the night, while everyone else sleeps, their love grows to new heights. They continue to dance in the moonlight, calling out to their lover with the excitement and joy of a first love that makes them feel like moonwalkers. Despite whatever keeps them apart, this moonwalking love will enable them to cross over any rift and let them get to their lover.
Shhh is where the story starts to turn. This song is almost a plea to their lover to shut out the whispers that they were not meant to be. They try to quiet the lies that they’re just an illusion, that their feelings are merely an illusion.
And this leaves us at 247 - what I consider to be the end of the story. The main reasoning for this is how much it references LIlili Yabbay in its lyrics and choreography with a sprinkling of choreo from Moonwalker and Shhh as well. In a way, it’s the other bookend of the story. From the get go, the vibe of the song is very nostalgic with its melodic guitar and relaxed percussion. It evokes an introspective atmosphere that’s portrayed as they spend the first two verses wandering the stage, reflecting their circling thoughts. Lyrically we start the song in a very similar setting to Lilili Yabbay as well: in dreams filled with their lover. This time however, instead of the feelings of longing and anticipation being associated with these dreams, the boys are singing from a place of caution and apprehension. The lyrics parallel searching from Jan - Dec to only seeing lost footprints on top of the road on which they searched from Mon - Fri. The continuation of dancing for their lover in the moonlight, sung in the same falsetto as in Lilili Yabbay, but saying that maybe it was all in vain. The parallel themes of time but with 247, the ticking of the clock-like percussion makes you feel like the time is now limited, almost at its end. What they’ve been experiencing since the Dance of Month 13 are just a memory that’s being remembered twenty-four/seven - memories that won’t end until the end of the universe and their lives.
Now that we understand the story, let’s appreciate the choreo. As stated before, there are moves that are sampled from Moonwalker...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Shhh...
Tumblr media
(I can’t find a good reference video to gif but just look for fancams - the above choreo references the choreo during the Shhh lyrics “위험에서 가릴 수 있게허락된 dedication/숨 쉬듯 자연스러워영원한 dedication” (So I can cover you from danger, a consented dedication/It’s as natural as breathing, an everlasting dedication)
but the majority of the choreography references in this piece is pulled from Lilili Yabbay.
There’s the very obvious call to Lilili Yabbay with the signature clock choreo except in 247 the clock/time suddenly stops, reflecting the end of this relationship/story arc...
Tumblr media
the 247 take on Dino manipulating the gears of a clock...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the consuming hands thing (I have no idea what to call this move)...
Tumblr media
The choreography of this song is actually pretty simple when compared to previous performance unit songs. Granted, part of it probably has to do with the short amount of time they had to prepare but, by being simple, the story of the songs is actually reflected a lot more clearly than if it was complicated (and to be honest, I’m a sucker for choreo that reflects the story of the performance). This doesn’t mean the moves aren’t intricate (I mean, just look at the above gifs) or thoughtful - In fact, the moves are specifically choreographed to reflect the lyrics and story of the song.
Like I mentioned earlier, the song reflects a person’s wandering thoughts as they sing about their fears as to where this relationship is going. It starts as a slow, wandering train of thought:
Tumblr media
that slowly becoming more chaotic and confused:
Tumblr media
only to come back to where they first started:
Tumblr media
Below is a celebration of a few moments of choreography reflecting the lyrics in order of appearance:
“247 I look for you, wandering and wandering until I arrived here” - I am personally amazed at how many different ways they can portray clocks and time
Tumblr media
“If I open my arms and hold you” - pretty self explanatory tbh...
Tumblr media
“I don’t even get anything” - trying to catch something only to be left empty handed *tears*
Tumblr media
“No matter how much I say I miss you, my heart that longs for you can’t be filled” - THIS MOVE IS SO SIMPLE YET IT HIT ME SO HARD THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED THIS
Tumblr media
“The road that I look for you on every day, there’s only lost footprints on top of it.” - each member is an impression left behind as Chan keeps walking down the ‘road’
Tumblr media
And for the final gif of this post that has nothing to do with choreo but because they are called the PERFORMANCE unit and not dance unit for a reason...
Tumblr media
THEIR MOMENT TO SHINE AS SINGERS!!!!!
I know this post becomes a mess at the end (I’ve been working on this after work for the last 4 days when I should be sleeping so lol what is consistent coloring) but I love this song so much because it truly showcases the performance unit’s talents so well and I feel so proud of them and please oh please let them perform this during the world tour.
Honestly this was originally going to be a short post to compare the choreo from previous songs to their references in this song but then I read the lyrics from Lilili Yabbay through 247 because of what Hoshi said during the showcase and I just had to make a post about it. This is why we celebrate Seventeen as self-producing idols - not for some gimmick or selling point but because they create their own songs, choreos, etc. they are able to tell a story throughout their discography. As they grow as people, performers, choreographers, etc. their performances grow and change along with them.
I have no idea how to end this post that’s already too long but yeah. I hope those who read this post gain a little more appreciation for the beauty of this performance.

Nap Time
Part of the Tsuredere Seventeen series
Tumblr media
Summary:
Jeonghan falls asleep in your recitation every single week. You wouldn’t allow it to happen normally but you know he needs as much rest as he can get.
Besides, deep down you really like taking care of him.
2k+ Words
You can also read it under: Archive of our own or Fanfiction.net
School idol clubs in College are ridiculous. You never understood why your University had one.
A boy group called Seventeen, and they didn’t even have Seventeen members, what even was that?
It had been around for two years now, and it was popular. All the girls in pretty much all of your classes swooned over the boys in the group.
“They are so talented. Did you know Jihoon writes and produces their music, and Soonyoung choreographs all of their dances?”
“Are you serious? How do they even have time for that?!”
“They all work so hard.”
“They’re all A+ students, I don’t know how they do it.”
You weren’t like the others. You had never wanted to treat students that were in reality just the same as you as if they were idols, so you never tapped into the fantasy. You listened to your music and supported them by going to their concerts but you made a point not to idolize the boys like the others.
You had been in a few classes with some of them. Seungcheol and Joshua, and you saw Jihoon pretty often because you had a friend who was a music major. Other than that you didn’t see the members around. Even so, it was impossible to not know who they all were.
They all had stage names and stage personas, and really mostly kept to themselves when they were in classes. Girls were polite enough not to bother them when they were studying or in class, but around song releases, they tended to crowd around their favorite of the boys.
“Aren’t they dreamy? Junhui is my favorite.”
“Ah! I love China line! Minghao is so cute!”
You had a favorite member as well. You had tried not to. Again, you were proud of yourself for not idolizing any of the boys and that statement still stood firm, but even so, you had one member of the group that your eyes always gravitated to.
Jeonghan.
He was one of the oldest members of the group and he had always seemed like the quietest on the surface. He was very sweet when you had seen him in the hall, giving off what seemed like a small and sweet smile whenever he caught anyone’s eyes. He was sickeningly kind to his fans, always accepting their gifts with the kindest words.
On stage, it was like he was a whole other person. He had this dazed expression permanently plastered across it when he was dancing. It was focused, but also relaxed to the point that made you think he didn’t really need to think too much to know what he was doing. Instead, it seemed like each and every move was second nature. When he looked towards the audience he always got this sort of short smile spread across his lips, one that wasn’t so much sweet as it was confident.
It was something surreal to see him like that.
He was most known for his long hair and got teased sometimes by the other boys for looking like a “girl”. Each time you heard him get mocked like that you winced, but a carat was always around the corner to tell them off for it.
The last thing you were expecting when you started your Senior year of College was to see Jeonghan. Honestly, he was the last thing on your mind which was a nice change. You had sort of had a fleeting crush on him ever since he started school here. When you found out he was spending his time in an idol group the way that he did, that crush had grown a little bit as well. He was so passionate about his work, they all were, and it showed in their everyday conduct.
You had seen Jeonghan more than once napping across the school campus. In the garden during shoots, in the library, while studying, sometimes you even saw him napping in the dining hall. It was impossible to miss.
But he wasn’t impossible to miss.
You loved seeing him. You vividly remembered this one day when you had accidentally spotted him on the way to one of your classes. He had been curled up on one of the window ledges, a book half open in his hand and the bright afternoon sun shining down on him like a ray from heaven. It reflected off of his face making him look like some sort of angel.
You thought about that day a lot. A few months after you had seen him like that their group released its first album, and he became a celebrity. After that, it was impossible to see him without a group of girls not far away swooning over him.
The girls at this school were so obsessed with him.
Which was another reason why you were surprised that your Senior year here he was in your recitation for the IAH class that you were helping teach.
He had walked in late, which you knew was uncharacteristic in itself, and the action had made you stutter in the middle of your introduction. He noticed and when he saw you he immediately smiled.
That smile kept you up at night. It wasn’t that sweet smile he gave to his fans. It was his stage smile.
Why had he smiled at you like that?
You got back to teaching.
This job meant a lot to you. It was extra cash along with your part-time job, and it gave you some experience teaching.
You wanted to be a teacher. A sociology teacher, not an IAH teacher, but this was the closest you were getting so you put up with it anyways. It was your first time being a TA, and you were already quite enjoying it.
You hadn’t seen noticed Jeonghan in the lecture hall… Geez, and you thought this would be the year you wouldn’t have a Seventeen member in the same class as you.
Why did it have to be Jeonghan?
You tried to focus on your powerpoint. God, you had spent hours on that stupid presentation and you had spent ages memorizing each and every slid knowing that you would be nervous on the first day. But every time you looked at the class, you saw Jeonghan there, smiling at you.
Why was he smiling at you?
“Does anyone have anything they would like to add? Anything you noticed from the lecture?”
Another student raised their hand and began to talk. You were trying to pay attention to them but out of the corner of your eye, all you could see was Jeonghan. He stared at you for a while but seemed to get tired of it after a while. You noticed him rest his head on the desk and close his eyes.
Sleeping in class was inappropriate, but in College, it was really just irresponsible. People were paying to take these classes, and they were paying a lot of money for each and every one of them. You didn’t understand why Jeonghan was wasting his money taking a rest in your class.
You opened your mouth to tell him off for it.
Then you stopped
The night before he had a concert.
You remembered because it was a welcome back concert for school. Seventeen was always expected to perform at those. They were expected to have new music and new choreo and you vividly recalled hearing that all of the boys lived in different parts, they weren’t all from the same town, some were hours and hours away from each other.
How did they do it? How much practice did they have to do to make up for all of the practice that they didn’t have when they were at home for the break?
You closed your mouth.
You imagined late night practices. You could see Soonyoung watching each of the boys, telling them where to stand for formations. You could even envision Jihoon calling the boys into their studio during breaks to record their song, getting each lyric down for the final track. There wouldn’t be a lot of time to rest and knowing those boys they probably spent hours and hours at a time trying to perfect everything.
You honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Jeonghan hadn’t really slept at all for the past few days.
You wondered if it would really hurt to just let him sleep.
So you did.
He was in the back of the classroom, so no one else in the recitation notice, and to announce the end of the class, you went a little off-book and “accidentally” dropped a book on the floor. Jeonghan’s head shot up.
“Have a good rest of the day,” you said thoughtfully, giving the class a wave.
You could feel Jeonghan’s sharp gaze on you, but you purposely ignored it, instead of focusing on a student who had come up to ask a few more questions about the class. As you talked you noticed Jeonghan pack his things and leave the classroom.
You breathed out in relief.
Jeonghan didn’t sleep in lecture classes, and he always arrived five minutes early.
He liked to sit on the side of the large lecture hall that your professor was on, and sat towards the front. As such, you tended to stick to the other side of the classroom.
Oh, not because of Jeonghan! No, you stood over there because the further away from the professor students were the more likely they were to mess around. Yeah, that was why you did that.
You still noticed that Jeonghan took a lot of notes during class.
That’s honestly why you were so surprised that he slept during recitation.
Every time, you watched his head fall to the desk.
Every time you ignored it.
Every time you announced the end of class with a literal loud bang.
It was a pattern that you were falling into way too easily.
The other kids in the class were starting to notice Jeonghan sleeping too but all you had to do was pretend you didn’t see it, and well… They didn’t mention it.
You kind of liked it.
Letting Jeonghan sleep in was one of the things you looked forward to during your week. Pathetic, yeah, but still a highlight of all the things you had to do. Something in your heart warmed every time that you were walking in the hall, trying to get to where you had to go and you heard some girls talking about the boys in passing.
“I can barely handle just my classes. How do they handle classes and practice? They must never sleep.”
It was dumb, but it made you feel so good.
You helped give him the opportunity to sleep.
After two months of your pattern, you couldn’t help but feel comfortable with what you two were doing. You never spoke or anything. The classmates didn’t complain, and Jeonghan got to sleep. Everything was perfect. He woke up at the end, his GPA was great, everything was great.
He just had to ruin it.
The class was over and you were talking to Aeyoung as usual about the course, and the essay. For once the other students had all begun to file out and Aeyoung wasn’t as chatty as you were used to. She was soon waving goodbye and wishing you a good weekend. You turned around to gather your own things and lock up the classroom when someone cleared their throat.
Had you missed someone?
You turned around and surprise-filled your body. It was Jeonghan.
“Oh, sorry I guess I missed you,” you said politely, bowing your head towards him slightly. “Can I help you with something?”
You couldn’t help but feel a little confused that Jeonghan was talking to you. The two of you had a good thing going. Why had he had to break that pattern?
Why was he ruining their good thing?
“Yeah, I just wanted to apologize,” he said. He rubbed his fingers through his long dark hair a smile on his face. It was still that stage smile though, not the one he usually gave to his fans. It made you wonder what persona was real for the boys. An odd thought that you had never had before.
They had three different personas. Their stage ones, the ones with their fans and of course the ones when they were just around each other. You were sure they had other ones. Ones for when they were alone or when they were with their families but at the moment these two were the most important. Stage persona versus fan persona. Why wasn’t he treating you like a fan?
“Apologize? you have no reason to do so!” You said with a laugh. “You have one of the highest GPAs in class.”
“Only because you haven’t told the professor that I sleep during recitation,” Jeonghan said slyly. Your cheeks reddened, but you tried to hide it by momentarily turning away from him.
“Sleep during recitation?” You asked innocently. “I certainly hadn’t noticed any such thing.”
Jeonghan’s hand landed on your shoulder, forcing you to face him. He looked you up and down and smiled.
“Hah.”
He was so close. Way closer then you were used to him being to you. Way closer then you were used to anyone being to you.
“Uhm, was there anything else? I’m sure you have classes you need to get to,” you said politely. You wanted to move, but you ended up just swallowing thickly instead of doing so.
“There is one more thing,” he replied. He pulled away from you momentarily, giving you the chance to breathe. Your head dipped to look at the floor momentarily and then you glanced back up towards him. He was still watching you, that amused look on his face.
“What is it?” You asked. You reached backward to grab your phone off of your desk, but it just fell to the ground. You dropped to your knees to pick it up off the floor but Jeonghan was just a tad faster than you. He handed you the phone.
“Go out with me.”
Your jaw nearly dropped.
What had he just said?
You couldn’t figure out what to say, all you could do was stare at him, your hand outstretched to grab your phone, but your fingers barely even actually touching the screen.
He couldn’t be serious.
Jeonghan seemed to register your surprise and let out a very soft chuckle. He reached his other hand forward and calmly used it to grab your slightly shaky hand. He then placed your phone into your palm and used his other hand to wrap your hands' fingers around the device.
“I’m serious, by the way,” he assured. “I’ve liked you for a while now, and I think you like me too… Don’t you?”
“Just because you’re some sort of school idol-”
“Hey, I’m not that kind of person,” Jeonghan interrupted, feigning hurt. “I mean, I’m not wrong like. You like me. So, why don’t you go out with me?”
You stared at Jeonghan blankly, trying desperately to cope with the current situation. He couldn’t actually be serious… Could he?
“One date.”
Jeonghan’s face lit up.
“Really?” He asked. You nodded slowly.
“Yeah. It has to be totally secret though. I don’t want your fans finding out and egging me in the halls or anything. And it has to be like a totally normal date, no funny business.”
Jeonghan laughed and nodded.
“Okay, okay.”
He sat back on the floor, folding his hands in his lap.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for ages you know?” He stated. “I know we’ve never really spoken or anything, but I’ve seen you around and heard a lot about you.”
“I’ve always kind of had a crush on you,” you admitted. “But I never even imagined-”
“Oh I did, I’ve been thinking about dates since the first time I saw you. You’re always dressed so cute, with the most precious smile written across your face. I’ve been wanting to hold your hand and take you on movie dates and more for so long I don’t even know what date I should actually take you on,” Jeonghan stated. His smile had changed just a little bit. It was sort of like the one he got when he was dancing. The one where he was focused, but dazed. Lost in thought, but knew exactly what he was doing.
Your heart skipped a beat.
He was smiling that way… About you.
You had never imagined actually getting to date anyone before. Not anyone nice anyways, but Jeonghan… Well, he clearly didn’t have any malintent towards you. Your face was bright red, but for some reason, you didn’t mind.
“I’m excited,” you mumbled. Jeonghan smiled at you.
“Yeah?” He asked. You nodded.
“Yeah.”
And for once you weren’t concerned with what others thought, or thoughts about how Jeonghan was some sort of idol or anything. All you were concerned about was what was happening right here and right now.
And that was the best part.

KPOP BIGGER TAG!
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧Hello! 💘 So I got tagged by @vulpi-xing to do this Kpop tag game, so thank you so much! 💞
After a long time without some tag games, Im finally back! I´ve been tagged in some posts and finally, im going to do them 😂 So thats the reason Im so late at this, lmao. So sorry to the ones to have tagged me~~💞💞🙈 I will sure be better from now on!
I used a very long time on this, because damn. Look at how long it is, lol. Anyway no worries @vulpi-xing , I had some time now so it was perfect 😂👍💖 love you!
Alright, lets go! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
1.) 5 favorite groups? - BTS, Exo, Seventeen, Blackpink, Red Velvet
2.) Top 5 on your bias list? - Just going to say this first, my bias list changes everyday, like nO JOKE. I cant keEP UP. But for today (or for now, lol) its Jungkook, Yoongi, Baekhyun, Jisoo and Irene.
3.) Ult Bias group and why you love them? -  I would say Bangtan, even tho EXO were the first kpop boygroup I liked. But dont get me wrong, my love for EXO has not (and will never) fade away, they will alway be my babies who I will always protect 💞 anyway, so the reason why Bangtan are my ultimate? well, long story short; they have helped me through my life with their lyrics and songs and knowing that I have almost went through the same things as they do and have the answers and the help I needed when I didnt know what to do 💜
4.) Ult Bias and why you love them? - THIS IS HARD. Okey but i think im going to talk about Jungkook in this one. He has been my bias since I noticed them, back then in 2014. And I always changed my bias along side with Jungkook. But he caught my attention because, knowing that he is the same age as me and have accomplished so many things in life, is like, I also have accomplished as well, if you get what I mean? Like he is me, but not “me-me”, LMAO IDK HOW TO SAY IT. He was the shy kid who went to Seoul alone to follow his dreams. Im sending my happy and positive vibes and so much love to “myself” aka Jeon Jungkook because I want to see this person forever happy and love the things he does ❤️

there’s glitter on the floor after the party...
Taylor,
*About 9 days ago, on May 22nd, 2018, I had just arrived home from your Seattle show at CenturyLink Field. It was 4am and I couldn’t sleep. I had so much on my mind and was still on a high from your show. So, in the early hours of the morning, after my friends had long gone to bed, I began to write. I’ve revised my original note quite a bit since then. I’ve also had the opportunity to do some additional reflecting since tour, and I have some thoughts. So, I guess this is the end-result of a mash-up of 4AM overly-emotional rambling, combined with well thought-out, fully coherent, mature writing. I feel like I really over-explained this. I could have been a lot less-awkward in setting this up. Let's just get into it:
[SO. I just got home from your Seattle show. It's 4 am and I can't sleep. This was my 6th tour, and I made what seems like an infinite amount of unforgettable memories with a group of incredible people I call my ‘Swiftie Fam” (the name needs work...). There's Cecil (my long-time, Canadian Swiftie friend, you’ll see him in earlier posts), Wanda (Cecil’s wife), Kaeden (7. Cecil & Wanda’s son. Major Swiftie. His first concert!), and finally the beautiful Maile (a recent addition to the fam, and now a life-long friend!).  It’s hard to explain in words, but we all have developed a connection that’s special and unique because of what we experienced together. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to stand by my side tonight. We danced, laughed, and cried together… I don’t think I’ve ever felt more understood. These people ‘get’ me.
Not surprisingly, I screamed every single lyric at the top of my lungs and subsequently lost my voice almost IMMEDATIELY. With that in mind, I suppose a more accurate description would be: I wasn’t so much singing, as I was gasping for the remainder of the show. I literally danced with until I was out of breath. I cried (ok, SOBBED) all of my make-up off (a Long Live/NYD mash-up… are you kidding me?! I FEEL ATTACKED).
By the end of the night, I resembled a pathetic, overly-emotional, glittery, drowned rat.
and I was living my absolute best life.
Also, I was REALLY proud of our outfits this time around! I think we did a decent job of recreating your Direct TV commercial, with my rainbow two-piece, and Cecil’s interpretation of Olivia Benson dressed as a Caticorn (I can’t say I ever thought I’d use that in a sentence). It consisted of around 8-10 hours total of gluing, painting, and hand-sewing, leading up to the show. Everything turned out awesome, way better than expected. Totally worth the man hours! Wanda hand-made matching these adorable matching t-shirts for her and little Kaden (Big Rep & Little Rep), and Maile constructed a beautiful MASTERPIECE from the mountain LYWMMD outfit- it was freakin’ incredible and HOT!
There was something a bit different about this tour for a couple of reasons:
[The production.] I don’t think I’ve experienced such sensory-overload in my LIFE. The whole time it was like a constant stream of frantic, internal dialogue with a lot of run-on sentences, like, “WHAT IS HAPPENING SHE’S GIVING US CHOREO OMG YAAASSS WERK HONEY IF A MAN TALKS SHIT WE DON'T OWE HIM A DAMN THING OH MY GOD ITS RAINING CONFETTI I MUST COLLECT IT I HOPE THESE MULTI-COLORED FLASHING LIGHTS DON’T GIVE ME AN EPILEPTIC ATTACK WHERE THE F-CK DID THESE GIGANTIC SNAKES COME FROM THERE ARE LITERALLY STAGES EVERYWHERE I’M OVERWHELMED OH SHIT SHES PULLING A SPEAK NOW BY WALKING THROUGH THE CROWD WHAT'S GOING ON OH GOD F-CKING FIREWORKS THESE VOCALS ARE LIT THO I'M SWEATING I’M DEFINITELY GONNA NEED THERAPY AFTER THIS NEW YEARS DAY/LONG LIVE MASH UP IS THAT A FOUNTAIN WHATS HAPPENING OH GOD IT’S REAL WATER AND SHE’S IN THE FOUNTAIN I’M HAVING A 2008 SHOULD’VE SAID NO ACM AWARDS FLASHBACK MOMENT HOLY SH-T MORE F-CKING FIREWORKS SO MUCH PYRO IS THIS EVEN LEGAL” I’ve gotta say, you have BEST band (Paul, Amos and Mike..OGS), vocalists (Eliott and Kamilah…the TALENT), and all the dancers. Every single person on that stage was on FIRE, and their talent, passion, and individual personalities made the night sparkle.
[The fans.] I freaking adore this fan culture. I’ve never met a Swiftie who wasn’t ridiculously friendly, welcoming, and super relatable. The vibe was so positive. I’ve never smiled, waved and taken pictures with so many random strangers in my life. It felt as if we were literally in a different world that day. It felt like home.
[YOU!.]  We need to talk about this major GLO UP you’ve got going on, honey. You exude SO much confidence and you're just pure sunshine. When I think about the way you’ve carried yourself these past couple of years through all of the BS drama, I can’t help but feel damn proud. You’ve successfully converted pain into art, into music. Real music, that’s poignant, raw, and just BAD ASS. Your lyrics continue to foster a special connection you maintain with the audience...a connection that often times breathes life into brokenness.
I felt like the luckiest girl in the entire world tonight.
This may have been my best concert experience ever, which is actually pretty ironic because:
Unlike Red, I wasn’t in the Pit
I didn’t have VIP seating, like 1989
You weren’t close enough for any potential high fives, waves, or eye contact like I experienced at Speak Now at B-Stage
We were not chosen for Rep Room (or T-Party, Club Red, or Loft 89)
…But, it was OK. It was way more than OK. It was truly a dream.
Listen: Something I've always deeply admired about you is that you make it a priority to maintain a personal relationship with the fans.  It’s clear you want to meet as many of us as possible, and you make a conscious effort to do so. You get to know us as individuals and you CARE, and that means everything us and makes such an impact. I mean, you invite us into your HOME for crying out loud, you walk through massive crowds and give high-fives, you lurk our Instagrams and Tumblrs and interact on social media, and you always make a notable effort to meet as many of us as possible at tour.
However, this can sometimes turn into a bit of a "Catch 22" situation for people. The downside, is that it’s honestly SUPER easy to fall into the “trap” of being consumed with the possibility of meeting you after your shows. Due to the fact that the “selection” process is both intentional, yet also random. To be transparent, it's quite difficult to not obsess with the idea of ‘trying’ to get chosen. I witness this behavior so often, in others and in myself just as much, if not more. Selfishly, I often feel not only jealous, but UPSET when I see photos/read experiences of other fans meeting you. I sometimes feel like the only one who hasn’t yet gotten the opportunity.  It can quickly turn into a mind-game if you're not careful, which has the potential to become toxic if we allow the idea of meeting you to rule supreme over what it's actually about...which is the MUSIC. And, this amazing show you put on for us night after night. And somewhat understandably so, I've witnessed the obsession with being chosen to meet you become a main focus point for a lot of us (including myself a bit!). It's pretty stressful, and can easily dampen or cheapen the concert experience, if you're not careful. As dramatic as this probably sounds, Tumblr (and social media) can be brutal within this fandom, and dare I say ‘cut-throat’ at times. It's easy to get upset watching (what seems like) literally EVERYONE get that opportunity, except you.
That said, I had a wake-up call/mini-epiphany recently, which manifested while driving home from your show at Midnight on May 22nd with my friends, feeling so amazing and so grateful for what I just experienced…but also a little guilty because I feel like I’ve spent way too much time worrying about the possibility of meeting at you when you come to Seattle, how to get the attention of Taylor Nation, where to find Mama Swift, getting that guitar pick from Papa Swift, and this time was no different. Granted, my intentions are 100% pure and it’s only because you’ve meant so freakin much to me for so many years, and it's almost as if my life won’t be complete until I finally get to tell you in person. That said, there is certainty a valuable lesson to be learned here. I am confident that you and I will come face-to-face one day (hopefully with my Swifie fam!). The stars will align at the exactly the right time, and I will have my moment with you, and it will be SO worth the wait. You can't "force" stuff like this, you know? The privilege of meeting you is almost ‘sacred’ in a sense. At least in my opinion. Anyway, my point is: I refuse to a continue to attempt to “create fate” by attempting to "earn" my worthiness in fandom. It’s not productive, it's not healthy, and it’s not cute.
Alright, this is getting out of hand. I need to wrap this up. 🤣 I’m not sure whether or not you’ve seen any of my throwback photo-posts I posted the week leading up to the show. They definitely explain a lot more about me, and my history being a fan. Either way, I must reiterate how grateful I am to have you in my life, and that support you 100% and will always be here. The amount of hope, joy and comfort you've given me over the past 10+ years is insurmountable, and I'll never be able to repay you for that. And I mean that in the most sincere way. Not a lot of things make me as happy as you make me (especially lately). This experience was the ‘boost’ I needed, I think. And like I said, the relationship I have with my friends/Swiftie Fam is invaluable, and I look forward to making memories with them at your shows in the future. You’ve brought the most random group of people together and created a bond that’s unique, unconditional and unbreakable, and I think that’s so cool.
This was A LOT longer than I originally intended it to be. This escalated quickly. Haha. Thanks for listening. 💗
Don’t read the last page…]

[Album Review]: ⑮ Thank you, too - Morning Musume’17
Tumblr media
So the heavily anticipated Momusu album was officially released yesterday-ish! I hopped on my computer immediately after classes to snatch it and get a taste of more modern post Tsunku-makes-everything Morning Daughter fakeness realness. Click through the read more to get more juicy details.
Tracklist-
1. Jealousy Jealousy (Album Ver.) 2. Romance ni Mezameru Mousou Joshi no Uta 3. CHO DAI 4. Watashi no Nanni mo Wakacchanai 5. Jama Shinai de Here We Go!  6. Style of my love 7. Narcissus Kamatte-chan Kyousoukyoku Dai 5ban 8. Seishun Say A-HA 9. Wakaindashi 10. Mou Gaman Dekinai wa ~Love ice cream~ 11. Dokyuu no Go Sign 12. Koi wa Toki ni 13. Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari (Morning Musume '17 Ver.) 14. BRAND NEW MORNING 15. Ai no Tane (20th Anniversary Ver.)
--
1. Jealousy Jealousy (Album Ver.) Coming right back in our faces with the tune that captured our hearts is Envy Envy, but SPARKLIER! Jealously is a tune with the funk-ish tune that would usually be gifted to a group such as Ju=Ju, but Tsunku-papa decided that it was time for a switcharoo. The vocals this time are much more clear, is the first thing I noticed of the Album Version, which is odd because usually albums from Up-Front are very over-mixed and muffled. This lets us know that there was a lot of effort put into the cleaning of this wonderful piece with a break down of an early-underground j-rap vibe. One thing that will always fascinate me about this sound is how the string instruments used here brings such a feeling of elegance, that it makes me feel like I’m rich while listening to it. Surely Tsunku understands and executes luxury in his spot on composition this time around.
2. Romance ni Mezameru Mousou Joshi no Uta My first impression was a  woah! from the beginning instrumentals. Immediately I was thrown back into the early 2013-2014 EDM songs that Tsunku used to produce for Momusu such as [What is LOVE?], and I fell in love until.... They started to sing. One thing I’m not crazy about is when management pitches this intense, powerful instrumental and then they break it into this... childish, “I’m a kindergartener playing at the park” kind of melody. It’s done so much that it’s almost expected, but they got me this time, I’d say. Around the 3-minute mark, the melody gets very enjoyable for me, with more opera in the BG and a ballad reminiscent of The Vision. The fact that Morning Musume isn’t afraid of using soft high notes nowadays is great too.
3. CHO DAI Bitch I love fart-sounding electronic noises in my songs and it sounds like sarcasm but it’s high key not. One pattern that I’m starting to notice and it’s starting to irk me is the constant use of “one word” LONG REST  “one word”. It was very refreshing with [Seishun Kozou wa Naiteiru], but after being repeated about a hundred times, it’s just boring and needs to go. This song is a good example of what me and my friends call “Scrapped Melodies” because at some parts it just sounds like Narcissus but slightly different. If you want a clearer example of a scrapped melody, think of Brainstorming(@0:37) and Wakuteka(@1:00) with that one farking melody that’s like... the same melody.
4. Watashi no Nanni mo Wakacchanai This is the song I’d been anticipating the most on this album. After watching the recent Budokan footage of the song and my friend drilling me about how “Maachan fucked Sakura’s shit up here like do you not see that??!!”, The song grew on me to the point where I’d listen to the concert performance like it was an official track. It was also a great decision to keep this song behind bars until 2017 because in 2015 Riho sang some lines that were just... not her  strong point... honestly (@1:17 & 3:45). But other than the lack of charisma that lives bring to this song, this is a good put!
5. Jama Shinai de Here We Go!  Here We Go... again with the “one word” LONG REST  “one word”. Even though this song is a bop. There’s something about the subtle nature of this song that drew me in, despite it being a tad bit on the plainer side of a Momusu song. Though I’m still a bit thrown off by Chiichan, she knows how to blend well to the point of merging with the background. The dance, might I add, is just basically Angerme’s Ai Sae but slightly different, pffft.
6. Style of my love Very stylish! Brings me back to something akin to [Senobi] in a way. With a melody of an early action anime opening (I’d say Inuyasha, or a classic fantasy-shoujo anime,) This song knows how to advertise itself. With Haruna having a few solos in this, it really shines and radiates a glow to the instrumentals. The dance break was a bit underwhelming, but do I hear Maria??? Wow, she’s really growing into her voice. I have very few qualms about this song, and I’m generally pleased.
7. Narcissus Kamatte-chan Kyousoukyoku Dai 5ban Shamefully, I found myself whispering “Motto, Mitsumete...” multiple times through the day. And finally we don’t have those classic Momusu heavy harmonies on like 99% of the darn song, and they lowered it to a 97%, but I’m tapping my foot, waiting y’all. This song is nearly as stylish as Style of my Love, but theres some feeling of living luxurious, yet lonely and discontent. I’m digging the story in it, even though I know the lyrics must be some irrelevant diarrhea.
8. Seishun Say A-HA Gonna get this out here first: I didn’t like the song when I first heard it a few times. Then it grew on me a bit and I can generally say I have a love-hate with it LOL. LIKE IM SORRY, BUT this song sounds like a pirate song. Like everyone in momusu is a stank ass pirate with scurvy and they’re having a sailing montage to find treasure. But it’s... it’s catchy for some reason. ugh. why @ Tsunku
9. Wakaindashi Damn do I love Duu and this song in general, but the soft EDM is bothering me for some reason?? We are back with the “I’m a kindergartener playing at the park” melody and I’m still unnerved by “You can get fatter or skinnier” line like... why.... But this song is CUTE for Duu and therefore I support it. I also like the choreo in many ways. Duu controlling the wave is so cute. The dance break was pure.
10. Mou Gaman Dekinai wa ~Love ice cream~ Me while reading that Haga’s gettin a lot of lines cause its a quartet: AYYYYY Me listening to the song finally: wtf this is Like ok I like the fact that it’s more rock orientated but it’s like... a lil boring. Especially the whole “Mougamandekinaiwa” all fast and shit.. It didn’t fit. I feel like this is a early rock vocaloid song. But I enjoy the fact that Tsunku is experiementing with different genres. He really loves his job. #come back papa
11. Dokyuu no Go Sign I love this song wtf... It’s like a near perfect combo of rock and EDM. Maybe if momusu would stop with the heavy ass harmonies it’d show a little more of it’s capability. The style of the song makes momusu seem more united despite the crazy battle for center currently going on. And Miki getting more lines is chill af (They’re realizing Mizuki is gettin old lol). The blend of musical elements along with the message of the song makes more a good pick-me-up, hype yourself up tune! PLUS THE LAYERING OF HARMONIES INTO THE HOLIEST DANCE BREAK TUNE IS MY ACTUAL SHIT. The bridge after that is so celebratory and invokes a feeling of greatfulness, I love it.
12. Koi wa Toki ni It goes from a video game level to where you gotta sneak around characters to the classic “I’m a kindergartener playing at the park” melody... again. I’m really trying to get into this song but it’s very hard. It’s very plain and barely has any shine to it. One good thing I can say is that during the instrumental break, I’m reminded of early Kikuo songs and uh... I’m a whore for Kikuo so I fell for the break like a klutz. The use of unusual sounds here gives it a spacey vibe.
13. Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari (Morning Musume '17 Ver.) NGL Joshikashi gets more and more cringey each time (especially Nonaka Miki’s verse), so this is a song on the album I’ll rarely indulge in. I love the fact that Maria incorporates her love for baseball to her verse even though she’s not my oshi. I value her a lot LMAO. But other than that, it’s a good song to familiarize yourself with the girls’ voices.
14. BRAND NEW MORNING god I hate this song, So Jean Luc Ponpon is deemed worthy enough after Mukidashi was released and gained popularity, and they bring him back for another round of Tsunku vs. Ponpon and this time, in my opinion, he flops. Brand new morning just isn’t my cup of tea no matter how many times I listen to it, and usually I can make my brain like an H!P song if I listen to it a bunch of times. Something about this song is very lacking and monotone, and doesn’t really get the feeling of a new Era across to me. If anything, this is the Jealousy Era to me (because everyone in Momusu is salty rn).
15. Ai no Tane (20th Anniversary ver.) I still really like this song, even with the updated singers. It’s much more fine tuned than back in the day, which really shows how music production has changed over just a span of 20 years! Amazing how fast the world progresses, isn’t it? All I can say as a closing note for this updated piece is that I’m glad Tsunku didn’t turn it into some crazy ass dubstep wub-wub version of the original. Thank you Tsunku papa.
OVERALL: I’d rate this album a 7.2/10. I feel like there could have been much more style variation in the music, track by track, especially because Momusu is so “highly esteemed”. These girls need to tackle other genres with how far they’ve come, especially since the older eras would bounce between stuff like [Memory~ Seishun no Hikari] all the way to [Onna ni Sachi Are] back in the day.
I’m also hoping that next time around, it isn’t Mizuki, Oda & the Backup Dancers. That’s one thing that bothers me the most out of his album.
Till next time!

hi!!! i'm curious as to how the admins feel about lip synching for performances? on one hand i think that the purpose of music shows is to show off the singing and dancing talents of idols (and if ppl just wanted to see the choreography/visual aspects there's the mv and dance practices) but on the other hand i can TOTALLY understand bc its really hard for even the best vocalists to sing well and dance at the same time. also, what is a good indicator that a performance has "live" singing?
see our thoughts under the cut! 💘
sullflower: I honestly don’t mind as long as they deliver a good performance. I prefer live singing at concerts tho. It definitely makes the performance more enjoyable plus you kinda paid for it. :-)
iyokans: (hiatus)
heonies: I honestly don’t care all that much if they sing live or not on music shows. They’re just for promoting the song and themselves whilst entertaining the fans. Some groups promote so often that they’d probably kill their voices if they sang 100% live every single time. Not to mention, everyone knows it’s near impossible to sound like you ate the cd when you’re dancing around, and trying to hype up the audience (also when you’ve barely rested/slept/eaten). Concerts, however, I believe they should be giving it their all since fans pay to see those. But anyway, so long as they can actually sing, and did record the song in the first place, it doesn’t phase me when they lip-sync/pre-record vocals.
jiaerrs: i like it when idols sing and dance live, but sometimes it’s better to hear lipsyncing when they’re not at their best vocally. i hate this idea of having your mic on is good enough [looks at the idols who shout and do adlibs that are off-key], and sometimes it’s better to hear prerecorded vocals than to hear someone cracking again for their high notes or someone “skrrting” for several minutes. also, it gives them a break bc you can damage your voice if you don’t let it rest. i think a good indicator on whether or not they’re singing live is to check how in sync the sound is to their mouths. you can catch literally anyone who does this, even those who you know can sing their asses off. also, you can check their throats to see if it’s vibrating and hearing the imperfections of every performance. if every live sounds the same, it probably was pre-recorded and reused.
katypery: i personally prefer when idols sing and dance live so i stick to mr removed videos when i know they’re singing but the background music is too loud to hear their vocals. i don’t like watching performances when they’re lip synching even if their dance skills are considered good.
sunjis: i don’t really mind tbh. some groups focus on dancing, some on singing, some on both, and there’s no right or wrong. the most important thing is to deliver a good performance and promote their song.
lauxrent: I honestly don’t really care bc in the end more important is how the performance looks overall. Also a lot of really skilled singers find it hard to sing and dance simultaneously so I don’t think we should expect that from idols. I mean showing true vocal talent is nice sometimes and that’s why I like watching special stages with ballads and such but I don’t think that lip syncing during regular promotion is bad. Esp considering that they have a show every day and for each one they have to rerecord like five times. It’s certainly nice to see that some groups are able to do that, I just don’t think that inability to sing live AND dance means a lack of talent.
sooyulti: i understand lip synching only when an idol is sick, other than that, i don’t get why they should do it, especially if it’s a performance where they don’t dance. and a good indicator that a performance has live singing is the breathing? i mean, we can hear it when an idol is dancing (especially hard choreos) so i guess when we hear them breathing we can say it’s a live performance
wonhosoks:hmm idk i dont mind lip sync…maybe some are not confident enough yet? about their vocals idkk :/ but watching groups sing live isa bit more enjoyable to actually get to hear their voices
24kool:i personally have nothing against lip syncing in some performances, though i’d rather see more idols sing live. however, the reason they use it is completely understandable because i bet we all know how hard singing and dancing at the same time is!
1krystaljung: i dont really mind lip synching honestly… like ofc it’s better if it’s live but with such complex and difficult choreographies it’s understandable that a lot of groups lip sync. also i think a good indicator of live singing would be to watch mr removed performances? but idk!!
seuhgi: i enjoy the performances better when it’s not lipsync but i do understand they sometimes can’t focus on vocals and that they need to rest!
prkchaeyoung:personally, i don’t think there’s anything wrong with lip syncing. most idols are tired when they step on the stage, and there’s so many other factors to consider that go on behind the scenes that might affect their performances. most groups these days release acoustic covers and/or perform their songs without choreography to show off their vocals and i think that’s really smart. that way on stage they can emphasize their dancing and stage presence and in performances like that they can focus on their vocals. and personally, i’m more of a choreography/dancing kind of person so i don’t focus on vocals much so that may be why i don’t mind lip syncing that much. that being said however, i don’t think EVERY performance put on should be lip synced. for indicators of “live” singing, i would say if u can hear their breath, then it’s probably live.
jeonghsk: i don’t personally mind lipsync if they don’t do /all/ the time. i agree w/ u about ur points about the performance aspects and thatsometimes, it’s probably not best to have live singing and intense dance moves bc at least one of those will be lackingbut i do personally love live singing more from an audience perspective
monoka:i don’t really care anymore, because most groups doesn’t need “good vocals” anymore to get popular but if someone always live sings it’s a + i also respect every idol who manage to live sing esp if they are MAIN VOCALS. i’m glad to stan ggs that doesn’t lipsync 24/7 :-)
seulge: live performances aren’t meant to show talent or whatever. they’re meant to entertain. the only way you can know someone is singing well is when they’re standing still and not dancing. lip synching is such a non-issue, i wish more fans were calmer about it. it’s why mr removed videos prove absolutely nothing as well. and yeah, it is extremely difficult to sing well and dance at the same time, you need a lot of stamina for that. at the end of the day, even this live singing sounds tricky. the “they sound like in the studio!!” is so?? ok fine, but if in the studio they strain and have zero technique in singing, it doesn’t matter, cuz they gonna be just as bad and messy live too. so my opinion on live performances is that… idc whether they sing live or not. it’s there for show, for ratings etc etc. it’s meant to be fun, help promoting the songs and so on.
