I regularly use isopropyl alcohol to clean electronics, and I've had trouble getting the same kind of pre-moistened wipes I usually use. So I realized I could just get some more of the same kind of I use when injecting my estrogen! they're just pre-moistened sterile wipes with a bit of IPA on them.

The only type of rubbing alcohol I have to clean up bones is a nail polish remover would that still work??
Acetone (nail polish remover) and isopropyl alcohol are two pretty different chemicals, buuuut the good news is you technically don’t need either of them!
They both have their vulture culture-y uses (IPA is great for wet specimen prep, and acetone can be used as a more aggressive de-greasing agent)… but for the cleaning of fleshless bones, neither are necessary. Once bones are fleshless, fully de-greased, and scrubbed clean with dish soap, they’re sufficiently clean and safe to handle! If you want to go the extra mile, hydrogen peroxide is the chemical for that— it’s an optional step, but letting bones soak in it for a few days will whiten them and double-kill any lingering bacteria.
TLDR: Dry bones are about as dangerous as rocks. A proper de-greasing and a dish-soapy scrub down is really all they need to be considered clean! IPA, acetone, hydrogen peroxide and other such chemicals are more less optional steps.
