“I have finished!” Cecil beamed excitedly, presenting you with a small hat made of patterned flower paper. It was clumsy, a little crumpled, but in the end it was still a paper hat. You and Cecil were supposed to be folding origami stars as practice. It was going to be posted on the company page. Cecil was struggling the most, so the organizers asked you to help him practice before filming. Making enough to fill a small jar for decor. But you weren’t the strongest origami folder either. 

Masato or Tokiya would have been a much better choice. But you were the personal assistant. Meaning you needed to assist the idols even if you were unqualified to do so. “Ah… Cecil…” You gave him a small smile and bowed your head as he placed the small hat on your head with a beaming expression. Seeing how proud he was of what he made… How he was so happy to show you the product of his hard work... It made your stomach churn. He was supposed to fold stars. Not hats. “I feel like I’m getting much better at this! I want to make paper hats for everyone to wear!” He hummed as he reached across the floor table for another piece of patterned paper. You looked at your own unfolded piece of paper, wondering if maybe you should fold all of the stars for him. 

“Why do you look upset?” His tone of concern shocked you, causing you to jolt up with surprise. “My hat is not perfect. But I will make plenty of them so they will be!” Cecil appeared determined as he quickly began to fold. Much faster than before. “No, I really like the hat! Especially since you made it so I can wear it.” You assured him as he had created another paper hat. You forgot how quick he was to pick up on things. “But Cecil… We aren’t supposed to make these…” You trailed off awkwardly as he placed the hat, lined in small clouds on his own head. “Hm? But the director said; Tonight, you will be folding hats for your princesses at home to cling to!” Cecil deepened his voice dramatically with a hand pressed against his chest. His impression was extremely close, making you smile as you stood beside the other assistants watching the scene before you. “Cecil he said stars…” You admitted awkwardly as his emerald eyes started to widen. “Stars..?” He whispered as you started to feel guilty. 

You should have told him sooner, but you always felt too intimidated to correct others. “Oh! That’s easy!” He started to smile again, using another paper to swiftly fold and turn the paper into a neat little star. It was like magic as the shape formed before your eyes. Cute round corners and snuggly pressed tight. The neon green star sat in the palm of his hand. You felt confused, Cecil struggled when he and the others were asked to show off their origami skills. Each of them was told to fold a crane and Cecil’s was the most crumpled. So how was he able to fold a neat star? “It looks amazing-”

“It’s because I lied…” He admitted, glancing away from you while rubbing at the back of his neck. “I thought if I pretended to be bad at folding, then I could get you to help me…” Cecil adjusted his hat on his head, and dropped the star into a small mason jar on the table. You felt shocked as you watched him swiftly fold and turn the paper, dropping the stars into the jar. “It’s not a bad thing. Wanting to spend time with someone you like.” He didn’t look guilty at all. It was cheeky and sly. And you fell for it. “Do you want me to teach you how to fold it?” His eyes glimmered as you felt heat starting to form in your face. You weren’t sure if it was from the fact he had tricked everyone including you. Or the fact he casually confessed that you were someone he preferred to be around compared to everyone else.

Dog Man has heterochromia. Left eye blue, right eye brown

Petey/Lil Petey: Cyan with a hint of green

(LP currently has blue eyes since he's still a young kitten, but they'll change later)

Chief: Dark brown

Sarah & Zuzu: The exact same shade of blue

Yolay: Green but maybe she can have heterochromia too with one brown eye

Nurse Lady: Light brown

Milly (the redheaded cop): Gray

Big Jim: I literally can't decide. Part of me says blue but it could also be purple or red or some impossible color

Petey's Mother: Cyan, I like to say Petey got his eyes from his mama :)

most of these are headcanons i have myself, but like,, on Big Jim, probably blue?? most Russian Blues (the wiki states hes a Russian Blue and THEY CAN APPEAR AS PURPLE so thats why im saying hes one) have blue/teal eyes, and while i used to see him having brown eyes, the blue fits more nicely with a color pallete like his and is just more accurate to the breed in general.

i also always saw Petey and Lil Petey as having heterochromia (just a slight difference in hue, like green and teal), but i also agree on the whole "Lil Petey would technically currently have blue eyes" thing.

also i feel like Flippy with green eyes is scarier than him with red eyes /lh

hello. we're a system of 7+ that wanted a place to put our plural experience in words somewhere, and a place to reblog posts about plural experiences.

fair warning, you may see a bit of syscourse on this blog, but i will do my best to tag it and keep it to a minimum. i believe all systems are valid, and always will.

i realize the way i refer to our alters (by first initial only, for privacy reasons) could be confusing, so i'm tacking this on for those who are curious!

S (current host) — that's me! i'm who will (usually) be using this blog. though sometimes i get a bit blurry. since i'm (almost) always up front, and don't often lose memories between switches, i can't always tell if someone else is influencing our descisions or co-fronting.

she / they pronouns, same age as the body which is 29.

T — frequent co-fronter. loves the art of tattoos and minecraft. bisexual nonbinary guy who likes to wear skirts and is very upset about the body not being as tall as he is.

he / they pronouns, age 20-ish.

W — previous host and frequent co-fronter. she was host when we were a teenager, and ended up fusing with our other previous host from when we were a young adult. always helps me (S) stay calm while cooking. loves neon green and black.

she / they pronouns, age 21.

N — doesn't co-front frequently but does enjoy making jokey comments and aiding in the fun kind of chaos. like T, loves the kareoke bar in the basement of headspace. bisexual as fuck.

she / they pronouns, age 21-ish.

M — used to co-front often, but no longer does. there were some complications in telling her apart from another alter. likes the colors light blue and yellow, mostly wears black. the communal areas in headspace house are based on her 'actual' home.

E — previous host and the reason we know we're a system! while T and M co-fronted frequently before we figured it out, it was only when E fronted that we started to dive into research. also the first person to get a room in headspace! loves squishmallows and her caretaker, A.

she / her pronouns, age slides 4 - 9.

A — the caretaker of the system. first alter to ever exist as far as we're aware, dating back to "imaginary friend" status back when E was the host and the body was four. always providing comfort to those who are distressed. for a while, i (S) went by A in headspace, thinking she'd gone dormant and naming myself after her, but she got her name back once she made it clear she was still here!

she / her pronouns, age 25.

L — trying her best to no longer be a persecutor of the system. was our only non-human, ageless alter before she fused with a previous host (known as R). now in a qpr with A, she is working on healing her religious trauma and being kinder to the rest of the system. loves the collor yellow. finds it important you know that she, like A, is an asexual lesbian.

she / her pronouns, age 24.

P — our therapist alter. since we haven't been able to speak to a therapist irl, she developed in order to help us through the hardest parts of our mental illnesses. started appearing back when W was host. tries her best not to judge us, but i'm pretty sure she's tired of my shit /lh.

she / her pronouns, age 45-ish.

M (2) — no relation to M other than her first initial, and i'm not entirely sure if she exists. other alters have mentioned her, but i haven't been able to meet her. would be somewhere between a previous host and a subsystem alter of N's. she's a big old question mark, but deserves to be mentioned nonetheless.

she / her pronouns, age slides 12 - 15.

i may expand on now-fused alters and other question-mark facets of our system at a later time, but trying to reduce everyone down to a few important sentences has been super tiring for us so that will have to wait! hope this helped clear some things up about our system :3

Let Us Commence

This week marks the beginning of the “school” year and both my teaching and playing schedules are picking up. The Dallas School of Music maintains a semester-like system, but we are a private, year-round school, so my studio stays very active all summer. I am lucky to work in a beautiful facility that takes care of all the scheduling and administration. I simply come in, have a cup of tea and focus on being the best teacher I can be.  

My series of fall gigs begins this Friday night at Lee Harvey’s in Dallas. This well known neighborhood bar is an old fashioned, wood-paneled, classic, neon signed, patent-leather-couched “joint”. But the food is good, the vibe is creepy cool, and gigs there are always interesting.  The picture above was taken at LH’s last year courtesy of the talented photographer Amy Staples. 

Looking back, it’s safe to say I had a wonderful summer.  I played a bunch of golf, sometimes twice a week, and I managed to get to the range at least once a week as well.  As usual, my buddy Steve and I had some good battles, he was hot in the early summer and the pendulum has swung back a tad now.  I always tell people that if we added up all our scores, I bet we wouldn’t be more than 3 shots apart.  It’s a great friendship and a great way for me to stay active and get a little exercise.  I average about 12,000 steps for every 18 holes and the “Zen” of golf is worth every cent of the greens fee for the mental health alone.

Gracie and I stayed close to home this summer, save for a trip to Phoenix in July. We enjoyed cooking many wonderful meals together courtesy of Blue Apron. We try to make each one into a little  “date night”, cranking a smooth 70′s play list and sometimes having a little wine. We highly recommend the service if you have the time and wherewithal. 

I spent a wonderful day with my son Parker last week. We had lunch at Resident Taqueria and then took a short road trip to Jimmy’s Food Store in Dallas. It’s an old-school Italian grocery and Parker just loved it. As an aspiring chef, he is keen to try all sorts of new items so he perused every nook and cranny of the small shop pretty thoroughly.  It was a great way to end the summer and now I feel recharged and ready for the busy part of the year to commence.  

Good luck to all the teachers for a safe and great semester.  And good vibes to all the musicians for a lucrative end to the year!

Fruit, Illu, and Fein fighting arena you say? Well:

it's not quite a voluntary one (I know I know cliché) but it does have good benefits! Fruit and Illu joined together because they wanted the cash and uh, stuff? Batteries? Idk.

At first both Illumina and Fruit were less.. colourful. They were both like grey and stuff because hey they need to blend in with their surroundings and also paint isn't cheap

But then after they got better they realised that ah we need a brand™ so illu got bi colours and Fruit got neon fucking green because he's terrible

Illu and Fein helped Fruit 'detach' his legs and attach new arms; they stole lasers from the supply store (which Nerdi works at; he definitely caught them stealing but he said nothing)

Fein is custom made for arena fighting, hence the flamethrower arm (and yeah it's permanently a flamethrower he only has one arm to hold stuff with) and more importantly, has a Brand™

Illu and Fein arena dominators; Illu is nicknamed the Dragon's Son because his jetpacks look like dragon wings and he's good at using flight to his advantage (cough cough unlike Fruit) (oh btw Illu helped Fruit made his jetpacks he forgot to make them beginner friendly); Fein is the King of the Arena (koth pogg)

Fein has light up sketchers YEO

His suit / visor glows in the dark

About Fulham:

Arena commentator; he's long since left the arena but sometimes his headset still broadcasts news from there

He keeps it on because he misses the other robots there (but not enough to go back; he has HBG now)

Joints connected by electricity so he can turn off power and detach them (comes in HANDy sometimes lmao), and also can rotate them in illegal degrees (not really helpful but cool anyway)

Has in-built speakers but has a cosmetic microphone anyway

Bonus extra stuff about Dylqn/Couri:

Couri has a regal scheme because he works for a high-class (ish) hotel thing

The gem in his crown used to be a tracker, so he got caught the first few times he escaped (it was Not Fun; let's just say his lenses weren't broken from the start, yeah?)

Eventually he realised what it was and smashed the gem

HBG got him a new one when they found out, so now his crown is whole again :D

Dylqn has night vision; his eyes are like a cat's (look we have to diversify our catboyification it can't always be Fruit)

Dylqn used the same bright green paint as Fruit because they both like being an eyesore or something (/lh)

His flowers change colour based on time of day, or maybe his mood, or maybe the amount of battery he has left… they haven't found out which
