Hidden feelings | Eito x F! Reader

Author's POV

It was those usual work days where Y/N was just working all of her teacher duties in the teacher’s room. Being an extra substitute teacher who guides art battlers makes her unpopular with the students. As a result, nobody bats an eye at the art substitute teacher when she walks around the school halls, except the teachers.

This results in you getting into the unpopular teacher club (unofficially). But well, there's one of the teachers that caught your eye.

Ifrit Djinn Eito, or what the others call Eito-sensei.

Eventually, he will be one of the official teachers who works fully there. But the reason he was in the unofficial unpopular teachers club was that he was a security teacher, but he was also in charge of a class from time to time. So he has barely been seen by the other students.

But he really caught her eyes in some ways. When it got to the point, the two of them start talking a lot which caught the attention of other teachers and a few curious students.

Back to the case, Y/N was talking about the stuff her art batler was preparing since there’s a lot of work to do for the batler party for the junior students. While Eito was busy talking about the patrols he will be doing. 

Of course, everyone knows how the two of them were close enough but are obliviously pining for each other at this point. 

“At this point, I’m going to lose all the money I’m betting on them.” Murmur grunted while Ipos patted his back as he was bringing about the bet Dali made about how long this (ahem) oblivious couple were going to be together officially. 

“Aww, at least we never knew. Their desires will soon reach out!” Raim smirked, as her tail was swinging from excitement. Of course, as a succubus, she must know much about love, that is. 

“Even so, I do hope they confess their feelings.” Marbas sighed from the stress he had after correcting the student’s grades for his torture class. 

While the teachers were busy talking, the fire demon and the art teacher were very busy by themselves. 

“You know, you need any help. I could always lend a hand; my patrols are a little slack since we have had much help before.” Eito said while leaning back on the teacher's couch, while Y/N chuckled at the offer.

“I appreciate it, Eito-san. But it seems we receive lots of strong first-year students.” The art teacher flattered, putting her hands together in a clap. As she was supposed to place her hands down, she accidentally placed one of her hands on Eito’s left palm. 

At first, it did go unnoticed by these two demons, who are so oblivious that they might never see that the world might end (I just love over-sarcasm).

It was Y/N who noticed it first. It makes Eito confused when Y/N’s face has gone red before he looks at the same post as Y/N and is instantly in the same condition as her. Then Y/N quickly took her hand back before clearing her throat. 

“I-I’m sorry!” She mumbles loud enough for Eito to hear. “I didn’t notice, Eito-san. My apologies; you must be uncomfortable.”

He shook his hands off in denial of Y/N’s statement. “Oh no, no, it’s fine; it feels good! I mean, bad. I mean-” He cleared his throat as well, regaining his confidence and standing up.

One was trying to calm down, while the other was keeping his confidence and so-

“I need to go patrolling/looking at my student’s work!”

“Uh…” Both of them were dumbfounded and paused by the awkward moment. Before they clear their thoughts, “Uhm, I guess we should end it, Eito-san?” Y/N nervously gulped and was going to end this awkward tension as soon as possible. 

Eito on the other hand, was already reaching out, clearing his throat again with his fist and nodding before leaving. But before he could, he gave one last look at Y/N and left.

Y/N on the other hand, was flabbergasted, stuttering at what she had just witnessed and experienced. She sighed, sitting on the couch, hiding her face from the joy she felt while secretly glancing at her right palm.

Oh, Derkila…

How long does she need to keep these hidden feelings away? For a specific fire demon, to be exact.

As far as the sentience and sapience level of the Red Crown...hmmm. Let's just say that, yes, the Red Crown would be capable of playing the game Uno in a dishonest manner. So, the Red Crown is quite sapient. However, the question runs back to that of the Mystic Seller's. "Do the gods wear the crowns, or do the crowns wear them?" Of course, with Lamb's situation, it feels it understands the answer now. We'll just have to see what sort of conclusion it came to.

We don’t see him until season 2 so I’m including him here

during the segment where Gaap and agares are helping out Suzy-sensei to get her approval, Suzy mentions that she already had the signatures of a few other teachers

I think Balam-sensei’s signature was among those Suzy-sensei already had

During the harvest festival we see that they share similar interests and seem to get along well so it isn’t impossible for Suzy-sensei to ask for Balam-sensei’s signature

I have a feeling Balam gave Suzy his signature out of pity tho, I think he probably though that he felt bad for the Misfits cause He knew Kalego wouldn’t let them win and even if they get all of the teachers signatures there’s be something up Kalego’s sleeve, so he wants to at least give a bit of support seeing that he understands why the misfits are fighting so hard for a classroom change but he never thought they’d actually get all the signatures

Ifrit

We actually see a snippet of Purson getting Ifrit’s signature in the manga there seems to be no struggle in trying to obtain his signature tho

Seeing that Ifrit seems like a playful type of person demon I feel like he’s give his signature willingly, He’s the type of person demon that would add fuel to the fire to see where it leads, that and he thinks that the whole “misfits trying to win the royal one, ultimately pissing off Kalego” thing is entertaining

Dali

Once again I point out the fact that Dali is a Sadistic mf who seeks entertainment in starting shit and the bullshit that it causes

But seriously I think his case is similar to Ifrit’s choosing to add fuel to the already raging fire just to piss Kalego off and start shit

Now during Chapter 208 we see that Tsumuru-sensei is actually a big fan of akudols we see that he also collects merch of Akudols and is specifically a Gyari fan soooo…

Technically speaking It wouldn’t be too far off if Gyari gave Kerori/Kuromu something with her signature on it in or limited merch as an attempt to win her over

Now I don’t know much about Ipos’s personality but what I do know is he is interested in a battle of brains rather than a battle of brawns So I think of something similar to what Happened with Furcas and Allocer

basically Ipos and allocer trying trying to beat each other in a game of chess (or whatever they call it in the netherworld)

Marbas

For Marbas I like the idea of the misfits doing a favor for him similarly to what they did with Suzy

the catch is favor itself is cleaning the torture equipment that Marbas uses in his classes now locking back once again to chapter 208, those torture devices are enough to make a grown adult like Dali scream just at the sight of the

Everytime i read After God (it's a manga) i always tell myself that it's one of good reference for drawing an eldritch god because well it is about eldritch god and the artstyle is good as well

I like it when they said that the God's or IPO's can only be seen by the naked eye and cannot be seen through phone lense

Ah, always been a big fan of both scary eldritch gods and eerily beautiful eldritch gods, always so fun to see and read about. I actually have been slowly crafting an eldritch universe as an original project. Originally was going to have it be a set of short novellas but the more I look at it, the more it seems suiting to be a text adventure. However, again, my mentally ill brain never goes with what I truly need to do, so whether I actually get around to it without some sort of outside pressure, well...we'll see. It's difficult, trying to self motivate since simply trying to force myself is...next to impossible honestly.

I hope to show off that project one day. I think it's neat, making all these eldritch monsters and gods and their resulting influence over the world. Basically a world that's just an excuse to make weird shit happen and weave a story in all muck. It's fun, it's fun.

Also, I did read that manga. And yeah, I like it. Art's good! Neat! And the main focus is on the platonic bonds which is my shit.

How do your ocs feel about each other and other teachers? Is there anyone they look up to a lot?

Sorry i took so long to reply my only excuse is that im dumb asjfjg

Gamigin's kind of accidentally a recluse, so he has a really bad habit of not knowing who anyone is and being vaguely confused about it. He generally respects the other teachers though, especially the strong ones (because they're capable of protecting others.)

In terms of Decarabia, he does kind of have a crush ngl. On one hand he thinks he's cute, on the other he is not blind to the fact that Decarabia is an absolute fucking weirdo who is absolutely confusing to talk to lmao. Since they're both mainly in the senior building they tend to spend the most time together compared to the other teachers

Meanwhile Decarabia is kind of a huge nag towards Gamigin, getting annoyed his uniforms inside out and constantly reminding him to get paperwork done and stuff. He's kind of annoyed by it, but at the same time he does appreciate how much he cares about other aspects of his job lmao.

Lazuli is unfortunately capitalist-brained and obsessed with professionalism so he tends not to form any sort of negative opinions towards colleagues for the most part, and does have an appreciation for their good qualities, though it's in kind of an objective non-friendshippy way. He's also really interested in teachers with family status because he wants those connections, though he doesn't act on it because that would be inappropriate workplace conduct smh. When he was a newbie teacher, his mentor was Ipos, he thinks he's v cool.

He and Aion joined at the same time and frankly they're like. Inseparable. Since they were both super new to teaching and kind of insecure, they ended up turning to each other a lot and became super close. In their spare time they're like always lying on top of each other and cuddling. They also sleep in the same bed together relatively frequently. Surprisingly, this is entirely platonic.

What is means to be a BITSian - my reflections as BITS turns 60 & I turn 11yo BITSian

2008B5A3***G, I predominantly lived in AH2-236 doing some notorious activities in the room and samaj seva (read: Nirmaan) in areas around the campus and I fell in love with Physics plus a few more during the 4 years I spent in Goa.

Through my time at BITS; I had realised that it's an echo chamber, like many places can be, so out of choice and because of some natural circumstances; immediately after graduation I developed a 90% non-BITSian friend circle. I did not come from a biz family nor did I have family wealth to take the kinds of risks I took upon graduation. I worked in a place called Upli Babhan for a company established in Berkeley, HQ-ed in Jaipur. There I happened to meet Yash (& family), Jacob, Anay, Sudeep, Vicky, Naresh, Abhay, Ashok, Ranjeet, Shivraj - and more and Puja, Fenella, Catherine, Meredith, Alok ji, Tanmay ji, Vasundhara Raje ji, Dushyant Singh ji and many more noteworthy people.

Then due to some uncontrolled chaos which I was a bit young to fathom, I left the job and took a couple of months off at home finally deciding to join a fast growing enterprise founded by the only Indian Thiel Fellow. At that time I had read all about Peter Theil and the PayPal mafia and Elon Musk was not that big a name. But I knew that someone who is a Theil Fellow must be smart and holds the potential to build a great biz. That was my 2-year MBA. I worked with management consultants and Ivy League grads and high energy entrepreneurs, sharp with Excel, Data, PPTs, Structure and what not. Often times I was outsmarted. But many noticed my energy and hustle. One smart chap who scored 100% in CAT commented, "What you lack in smartness, you cover up by your hard work." I made some lifelong friends there, all non-BITSians who are doing phenomenal work.

Moving on, I left the job in 2017 to be closer to home, in Mumbai.

A close friend, mentioned to me that folks at SEDEMAC are doing something good, you'd like it here.

So I applied to SEDEMAC, for some exploratory work on IoT which was an epic buzz word then. By now I knew a thing or two about the corporate world, high-growth, product building and importantly my own strengths - what I can and can not do. So I decided that I have to build a team who can compliment my skill sets. I started calling my friends again. Then I got connected with Rajdeep and we had discussion I shared my thoughts and he must have thought "Reasonable lagta hain" so he came along and we started working on a demonstrator - and then Sudeep joined in and subsequently there was a full team working on it. It was a privilege and a dream come true because I always wanted to build a tech-hardware product - I had nothing but some imagination and wild impractical ideas.

Intertwined to all these, I got married and had a daughter; COVID hit and many other things happened. Fast forward to 2023, I took over reigns of marketing & IR.

As matters of brain and heart goes; if not in sync can create panic attacks - having realised that my work style was not sustainable; I decided time to retire. Yet, my family and close friends (who anchored trust in me) told me to stay put and helped me course correct - put me through required rigorous hard work needed to maintain focus and build conviction. As luck would have it, was able to broker a $100M transaction in course leading upto a year ago to today, sans IB. Leave aside startups shutting shops, IPOs floundering, here was an island who was able to close $100M without much external help. There is merit in competing with large guys, makes you large in case you succeed or leaves you a mature person.

How is all of this related to BITS?

Journey of each BITSian is fodder for not just BITSians but others to see and adapt from; it's a species survival mechanism. Each one who makes to BITS learns competitive capitalism and its place in the society. Sans public support, one learn to stand on their own and respect others who have.

One thing which has worked for me so far is that I never worked with BITSians; because I always wanted to save myself from echo chamber. As friends, I always told my fellow BITSians that stay away from BITSians for a while upon graduation, learn to stand on your own, be independent. That's how you add something to your alma mater. Like all collages, especially collages dependent on itself for financing its means it is an important role of it's alumni to win some bread on their own and give back. Think about why BITS was incepted? What was the founding thought? And every once every 10 yrs ask if you have contributed. Today, BITS is 60 yrs old, only 16 years younger to our elder brother the IITs but we are a part of the process which competes with institutes who 150 years old and much more prosperous.

HOLDING A STARTUP

To a lot of work. The route to success is to get bought, and acquirers are less prone to irrational exuberance than IPO investors. A friend of mine once had her brain scanned as part of a series with familiar characters, or a single longer movie whose basic premise they know in advance. My seventy year old mother has a Mac laptop. But when founders of larval startups worry about this, I point out that in their current state they have nothing to lose. The most dramatic remnant of this model may be at salon. Whereas mere determination, without flexibility, is a greedy algorithm that may get you nothing more than a page. Everything is just incremental and you just create Carnegie-Mellon? For most of history success meant control of scarce resources. I heard from aren't noobs or control freaks.

So if you want to take risks proportionate to the returns in this business. DH3 or even DH0. Informal language is the athletic clothing of ideas. And yet, oddly enough, YC even has aspects of that. I think everyone would agree that democracy and Ajax are elements of Web 2. One is that a lot of growth in this area, just as pop songs are designed to sound ok on crappy car radios; if you can't get started, tell someone what you plan to automate later. More recently the recipe is often one founder, one VC, and one independent. For example, they like well-preserved old neighborhoods instead of cookie-cutter suburbs, and locally-owned shops and restaurants instead of national chains. There is also a complementary force at work: if you want to know what they're going to have to add some sort of push to get them going.

Of course he would say that. Steve himself might have had a hard time grasping is what insanely great morphs into as you roll the time slider back to the first couple months of a startup's life. One founder was surprised by how long it takes is the right people. We didn't need this software ourselves. Of course, what shows up on the radar screen may be different from what people currently believe. The reason VCs seem formidable is that it's good enough and free, these sites suggest that voters do a significantly better job than human editors. Assuming your product doesn't experience the explosive growth that very few products do, everything from development to dealmaking especially dealmaking seems to take 2-3x longer than I always imagine. They won't like what you've built, but there was still that Apple coolness in the air, that feeling that the show was being run by someone who really cared, instead of just looking at them all is to ask yourself the question: what do you wish someone would make for you? That's what Facebook did.

After all, projects within big companies were always getting cancelled as a result of arbitrary decisions from higher up. A lot of them, you'll keep doing it when you have a free version and a pay version, don't make a direct frontal attack on it. The truth is more boring: the state of the economy doesn't matter much either way. More money can't get software written faster; it isn't needed for facilities, because those can now be quite cheap; all money can really buy you is sales and marketing. But it is less of a change, financially, than one might think. When we started our startup, I have to admit it's one of those rare people who have them. Wikipedia middling reviews, but they didn't actually drop out of college and it tanks, you'll end up at 23 broke and a lot smarter. Imagine there was another processor manufacturer that could still translate increased circuit densities into increased clock speeds. It's more like telling a lie that you then have to remember so you don't contradict it. There's no correlation between the percentage of startups that become successful, it's going to cost you.

Selection beats damping, for the same reason market economies beat centrally planned ones. Now if I accidentally put the cursor in the wrong direction. Another reason mean founders lose is that they worry it won't scale. Let me conclude with some tactical advice. But when founders of larval startups worry about this, it was. At the time that was an odd thing to do. No matter how much skill and determination you have, if you want to do will constrain you in the long term, because if I'd explained things well enough, nothing should have surprised them.
