These are two very different sins, and one matters way more to me

Bloom's outfit hurts my eyes, but it at least looks like a progression from her season 3 look. A bad and ugly progression, but I can tolerate this

Musa's s4 outfit ripped what was left of Musa's gender nonconformity and tomboy style out of her hands and then kicked her real personality into a ditch as she was replaced with Bloom lite after raiding Stella's middle school closet

If Musa dresses like in s1-3 It would have been revealed 2 seconds afterward that she was forced into the outfit, but these are her normal clothes in s4

I'm not even saying the outfit isn't cute, on any other character that would literally be my favorite outfit it looks so cute to me, it's just not something that s1-3 Musa would ever wear

Musa's fashion was always super casual compare to her friends! Her outfit for the formal dance in season 1 was a modified kimono with pants!! Might I even mention that her pant legs were so long that they could have hidden sneakers under them? Because she was definitely wearing sneakers under that outfit. Her back-to-school outfit has jeans when everyone else was dressed up. When she went to the dance with Aisha, she where's an outfit that requires tights or leggings under it. Her concert outfit was a jersey, cargo vest, baggy jeans, and a beanie!!!

For fun, let's take a look at all the times she doesn't wear anything on her legs in s1-3. S1, dance casual, her skirt looks like it was made to exercise and run in. Flirting with Riven. S2, cute red Cheongsam with fucking knee-high boots. It was the first big party since they started dating, she wore that outfit to get Riven's attention. S3, Eraklyon Formals. She is in high society for the first time in her life, I don't think she could get away with pants here. The only reason other outfit without pants is something that Stella got her designers to make with no input from the girls themselves, so why even mention it.

THEN YOU GET TO S4 AND SUDDENLY MUSA IS WEARING: A MAGENTA POKA DOT BLOUSE, A PLEATED SKIRT WITH NO LEGGINGS OR TIGHTS UNDER IT, AND FUCKING POKA DOT PINK HEELS?!

Is this a joke?? Is someone laughing at me??? Am I going insane over a cartoon for children?? Yes to all of the above.

FIVE of Musa's s4 outfits are heels, four of which are pump heels. Do you know how many times Musa wears straight-up heels in s1-3? Twice. Neither we're pumps, and both she wore for partying.

If demonia boot's we're popular when Winx was coming out in s1-3 Musa would of worn them. S4 Musa would literally never wear platforms. She dresses like a completely different character!!

Musa's original style was somewhere between e-girl and grunge, at most Musa's s4 style can be described as alt prep. And it's more prep than alt most of the time!!!! Musa was the alternative girl of the Winx!! And they made her dress like everyone but her!! Electric chair!!!

Musa's season 4 outfit is an abomination on God and I want a handwritten formal apology from whoever decided to steal what was left of my girl's personality and turn her into THIS.

Why do you think flora holds back her powers when fighting. Also do you think that if flora got too mad during a battle she could destroy the magic universe.

Well, the reason’s never explicitly mentioned in canon but I do have a few theories

In the earlier seasons, especially season 1, you don’t really see her hold back her powers so whatever the reason might be, I think it developed during the series

In the later seasons, they do try and show it as her lack of confidence that stops her from being very ‘aggressive

Personally, from what I remember, I think the change from her being somewhat passive in her attacks to her really pulling her punches happened in season 4

In season 1, you have her almost killing Tecna and not even understanding why everyone was mad about it. Even from the episode that she is introduced, you see her standing up for a girl she barely knows and willingly getting into a fight with a bunch of witches on the first day of school. So, Flora is not really a pacifist. In my opinion. And, she’s more than willing to throw hands if necessary.

Okay a bit off-topic but Pacifist literally means someone who thinks war and violence is unjustifiable and refuses to participate or support in a war. So, I don’t think anyone of the winx & specialists (helia to be exact) are pacifists because…then i don’t think they’d even be involved in all the trouble they find themselves in.

Anyways, in season 2, you do get Flora being anxious and doubting herself when she has to heal the flower at pixie village. Which I think is not exactly an unjustifiable thing to be anxious about. All her friends had gotten her charmix, and she was the only one left so I think anyone in her position would have doubted themselves. Also, i think her shyness came into play with that scene because she is shown to be quite friendly and open, except when she started crushing on Helia. That boy clearly made her nervous and she was able to save the flower once he supported her.

Later when they are fighing darkar and while Musa and her are holding up shields to protect the rest from his attacks, she gets shot down first. Again, i don’t think its because she’s just a weak fairy in general but because like Stella, she also relies on sunlight. The situations just aren’t in her favour most of the time but I think she still does pretty good despite them.

And, in season 3, she’s still pretty strong. She gets her enchantix, she holds back guards chasing them through Solaria and Eraklyon. There is even one scene where the girls are practicing and they fight against Bloom to see if they can figure out a way to defeat Valtor. And, Flora apologises but still doesn’t hesitate to go against her friend. So, again, she doesn’t hold back.

Now, in season 4. I know a lot people stopped watching and dont really like this season but I really did. The only part that bothered me was how there were so many new transformations that seemed unnecessary. But, other than I liked their life post-alfea. Anyways, You have Flora being sassy with Anagan and also the first episode where she stands up against the wizards. and one thing I hope doesn't come off as hate is that the voice actress for season 4...did not do justice to her character. it made her sound whiny and I really really miss how soft and breathy flora's voice used to be in the earlier seasons.

also, Im not just saying this because I wrote a fic about it, but I am pretty sure Flora was affected by earth's pollution. Like, come on. The planet sucks and we've destroyed it beyond help at this point. and I doubt the fairy of nature would actually enjoy it. Then we have that episode with Diana where she is so weak she can barely fight.

I will forever be salty that Flora did not get the spotlight in those episodes.

you have that scene where Helia encourages her to fight against Diana's vines and she fails. miserably. That is bound to have made her feel embarrassed. Helia even did that before when she had tied up Anagan. I'm sure Flora's ego must have taken a hit from all the failed attempts.

and then you have Nabu's death. I read this amazing fic, but I forgot the name but I'm sure you can find it on yet-it's account. it was basically how Flora and bloom being the healers of the group reflect on how and why they didn't help Nabu.

So taking ALL of this into context, and then the oil spill on earth in season 5 where Flora tries to help but makes it worse and the tube literally explodes and all the oil spills into the ocean. She basically indirectly caused the events of season 5.

And that's when Flora starts to get more and more doubtful of herself. Going against my own fic, the Krystal-helia-flora love triangle was not actually about flora thinking Helia liked Krystal. I think it had to do with her self-doubts.

Flora is actually powerful, she just gets bad writing and little screen time. This is the girl who punched Darcy in the face for cursing the Black Willow waterfall and blew Icy off with a bunch of petals (bad writing but kinda cool).

I think that Miele or Helia being killed off would definitely result in her committing murder. I do think all the winx have the potential to destroy the universe. Especially flora because of how nature is basically...everything. She could tear apart planets, she could make eco systems attack people, and she has a pretty big motive to take revenge to for people's actions against nature both on earth and in the magic dimension.

I would love to see Flora go berserk. I've been waiting for it my whole life and I hope it happens soon haha

No one asked but here are my thoughts and ideas about Fate: The Winx Saga

First of all i loved this show so if you’re gonna say some dumb shit hating on it go do it somewhere else because i genuinely couldn’t care less (also i’m not gonna talk about the white washing because Obviously its a shitty thing that netflix has a clear history of doing but just because its fucked up that they took away that representation doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the show)

the main thing i didn’t like was stella being turned into a blonde mean girl stereotype and putting her in a love triangle with bloom and 

wish she would’ve stayed as bloom’s best friend who is genuinely full of light despite having an abusive mom

i did like the whole thing of her having trouble controlling her powers because she was taught to use too many negative emotions

in season two i just really want her to be a lesbian because Please (i doubt they’ll do it though) but again I wish she wasn’t the “mean girl” because mean girl turns lesbian can be annoying (its the cheryl blossom of it all) but idc give her a gf

in terms of terra i thought she was gr8 (but obviously wish flora hadn’t been replaced by a white girl even though she’s plus sized), but i do feel at times she was put in to the box of “oh that fat girl is really sweet and sensitive and seen as a cute friend” in that way that some media acts like fat girls can’t be bitchy or angry or hot

but i do feel like as the show went on she did become more of a complex character, and i especially liked how badass she was with her powers especially in the scene with riven like Yes Bitch

okay things i want to happen in season 2! (aka how i would write season 2)

first off sky

boy is gonna be having a Difficult time with his father being back and him realizing he isn’t the perfect hero he thought he was

and he also has to deal with silva being gone and despite being mad at silva’s lies i hope he realizes that silva Is his true dad, he’s literally the one who raised him and Cared about him

onto riven (my favorite angsty teen)

so rn he’s obviously working with beatrix and Rosalind but i’m hoping for an arc in which he finally starts to take control of his life, and instead of searching for meaning through others (i.e sky and beatrix) he really works on himself and what He believes and then maybe helps the gang spy on rosalind?? and take her down??

ALSO my boy is bi, or pan, but he is Not Straight, and i Need him to have an enemies to lovers with a guy its so important

but obviously don’t want it to take away from Riven finding himself, that takes priority

i also really want to explore Riven and Terra’s relationship more? because its clear that in his first year Riven was kind of a nerd and he and Terra seemed to be pretty good friends? like they apparently hung out in the greenhouse a lot and i just think emphasizing that relationship would be so good and them helping each other figure themselves out and just being besties

again, want her to be a lesbian

also need her to stand up to her mom and show her that she doesn’t need pain and negatively to power her, and that she is stronger than her mom thinks

just want her to be okay and happy she deserves it

she already had so much growth in the last episode, especially her realizing how unhealthy her and sky were, so i just want more of that

can i just talk about how much i love beatrix? because i Love beatrix

i feel so bad for her because she is Not a bad person, she’s literally just been brainwashed her whole life by Andreas and Rosalind

i need her to have a redemption arc so bad 

i also want her to find out the truth that Rosalind has been keeping from her (kind of akin to Lila in the umbrella academy season 2)

i don’t want her to join the gang right away though, i kind of think she would need time alone to deal with her entire life being a lie, but overall i want her to be okay

but also imagine her finding out the truth, leaving, and then instead of healing she turns into an Actual villain (because we still need the trix from the cartoon and her name is Literally Be-a-trix so???? idk im Intrigued)

love this girl so much, want her to just learn to open up and be happy with Sam because they’re so cute

also side note although i do love them i wish we got to see more of the beginning parts of their relationship, rather than them just talking one day and then them dating, idk they felt a Little rushed and wish we got to see more of their development

i also really want to see Musa master her powers more, obviously she can sense emotions and is a badass, but i want her to be able to use her powers for More, because mind fairies are bad bitches and i feel like she has to have more powers to unlock

also want her to do some more physical fighting cuz she clearly wants to do it and i think we deserve seeing her punch people

When my mother told me Winx was getting a live action reboot I thought 2020 was finally gonna give me something to love

I don't really mind the whole dark twist cause when I was younger I used to write horror!winx fanfic after someone requested it and I sorta fell in love with the concept but:

They cut out Techna, my girl, I love her, her and Musa where my first loves (in both I wanna be them and my Gay awakening)

AND THE WHITE WASHING. I Appreciate Flora's actress being plus sized cause body diversity love it. But im pretty sure there is a plus sized Latino Actress who would have absolutely killed the role!

And Musa.... like.... nothing about her is white, so much of her character focuses on her culture which is Asian (Chinese specifically i think but I may be wrong).

second, i hate that they're trying to make winx club edgy when it is literally ANYTHING BUT. the whole appeal of winx club is the unnecessarily flashy cgi transformation sequences, the bright colors, the glitter and frills everywhere, the over the top fashion. it was violently GIRLY and i want it to stay that way. also, something very characteristic about it is that it's very very "y2k" in the sense that you look at any of the girls' casual outfits and you can IMMEDIATELY tell that the show was made in the early 2000s . I WANT THAT NOT WHATEVER THIS IS

You can only use one transformation at a time, and the enitial act of transforming uses a lot of power that is sustable only because of the looping connection between the core and the wings(like a car battery) so while a fairy COULD switch between transformations at will, they would be absolutely drained and is they push too far could die. 5. most pick their title based on what spells they like to use. Bloom is tied to the dragon flame so that is predetermined, but she could call herself something else if she wanted to hide it. Stella is also tied to the second sun of solaria through her bloodline, but since she’s half luna she calls herself the fairy of the sun and moon. @nondescriptfrenchfry 6. that is the exact mood i was going for, og pythia is NOT sunshiney lmao 7. Lynpheans have rich soothing voices, usually deeper toned with long pauses. Zenithians are snappy, not because they’re mad, but because they are quick and efficient and taking time to breath isn’t really a concept for them. Melodians vary a lot, but all have a very clear, crisp, almost ringing way of speaking. Solarians are loud and quick, usually mid to high range tones. Dominians speak a lot with their throat (think scotish/israli) and have mid range tones. Andros has a lilting (think japanese....weirdly enough) pattern of speech, and their talking speed varies HEAVILY based on their mood @its-all-about-that-fan 17. so Bloom has the great dragon which might be a natural source or might be more etheral but idk. But she would probably use a flame or lava related source. Stella is almost basically able to use danix because of her family’s reliance on the second sun of solaria, so she would probably use that. Aisha would be a major fairy wind and water, so like a cliffside source. Flora would probably use nature in general(like diana) or specifically a source of trees and forests. Musa would probably use the caves under the golden auditorium, and be the major fairy of sound. Tecna could connect to the core of zenith and be the major fairy of electricity and mechanism.  18. mostly good? like every family has its issues.  musa is close to her dad, and he’s come around to supporting her music career but theres still some unspoken hurt there for both of them. Aisha isn’t super close with her parents, as she’s grown up shes tried to get to know them as people, but she still holds bitterness over them isolating her for most of her childhood.  tecna is, by zenithian standards, outrageously close with her parents, which by other standards is decently close. They can go pretty long with out speaking tho it wouldnt be weird to them.  flora is closer to her mom than her dad, not that she doesn’t love him or anything its just she has more in common with her mom.  Stella loves both her mom and dad, and if its just the two of them with out the other parent she has a great relationship, as soon as radius and luna interact tho Stella ends up feeling torn and hurt and guilty. She’s trying to stop blaming herself but that would release her deep seated anger towards both her parents for putting her through that. Bloom still feels a little awkward with her bio parents, but tries to spend every other week on domino when she’s not on a mission or at alfea. She spends the other week on earth. Mike and Vanessa are always pretty flexible with Bloom’s magical oddities, and they encourage her to spend time on domino. Bloom will always have a place with them, but now that she’s essentially moved out, they’re thinking about adopting another kid.
