watching

andor (eng, s1) — the only show i am currently keep up with week to week. it’s brilliant, utterly brilliant. the three-episode model keeps the writing/action/tension contained, keeping me in this welcoming chokehold until the very end of the season. that is how you keep your storyline moving, for a 12-ep season, without it feeling dragged out. and the story itself has a low, raging rumble against this very real world backdrop. i just want to exist in this world forever, peeling away all the layers of the rebellion and the empire. stripping all that we have known about the force and everything that the existing franchise builds on until all that’s left: empirical fascism and oppression. and we are being gifted this fantastic premise with a character that can’t narratively die. because we already know his fate. this description is in all lower case, but you best believe i am screaming this the whole way through.

somebody feed phil (eng, s4) — this and the below show are two that i have been watching slowly, splicing up all the episodes between when i started in the summer to the end of the year. i am tackling this show one season a month, which is always a breath of fresh air in between all the dramas i have scheduled. phil is an absolute delight to watch and the choice of locations are so well thought out. i already have a trip to plan for nyc in the near future due to this show. i dread the day i run out of episodes to watch…. oh no lol

guardian (cmn, s1) — as i said prev, this is also a show i have split up my time through the year, tackling this show 10 eps per month. I have seen 20/40 so far and it’s great so far! to me, its very reminiscent of shadowhunters (a prev jessi hyperfixation). if you give me mediocre vfx + found family trope, i will eat it all up i love it so. and the two leads go from 0 to work husbands by the second epsiode, i love that for them. they have such amazing chemistry and like somebody feed phil, i will mourn the day i finish this show.

planning to watch

glitch (kor, premiere) — as i write this, i will be starting this show in the evening. osmosis went HARD on my dash lol i mean, the premise and the vibes are all there. i am going into this blind, only with the knowledge of the two actresses having great chemistry together. the space/alien aesthetics are just a bonus. can’t wait to find out what it’s all about, stay tuned.

werewolf by night (eng, movie) — this is also a last min decision to do, esp for halloween night. when i heard about this show, i wasn’t sold on the concept until i saw that gael was the lead and directed by michael giacchino. the man who has gifted us with the ost for LOST and Up! directed a marvel movie????? i am all in. and this all before knowing anything about the plot.

sleep with me (fil, s1) — my first filipino show sched on my watchlist YAYYY!!! for me, it’s such a hard sell to make me watch a filipino series. but this one really peaked my interest, it also being the first gl for me to tackle this year. i know lovi from the one that got away, so im excited to see what she’s like here. hope there’s more filipino content on my radar in the future. the only other show i have on my deck is gaya sa pelikula but have not determined a date for it. maybe summer 2023??

after this show, i do not have any new bl/gl’s on the calendar for the rest of the year. I am waiting for osmosis to kick in for anything coming up. feel free to check out what i do have on deck, thru jan 2023.

bad buddy (thai, s1) — i originally planned for a rewatch by myself at the last week of the year, marking the one year anniversary when i started watching this show. it always marked the beginning of my bl/asian drama journey, so it felt right to get this on the calendar for me. sometime ago, i was informed that the fandom was planning a rewatch in october, so i immediately reshuffled my entire rest of the year to accommodate for it lol. what else is there to say, im returning home.

vice versa (thai, s1) — and in replacing my original plan, of rewatching bad buddy at the end of dec, i have now scheduled vice versa. its my birthday week, ofc i want to see my son and my solemn face moonchild. i miss them. SO. MUCH. ugh

can i ask u somethin about the got7 albums? i want to order them but apparently theyre random? so even if i order 5 it means i might not get 5 diff “versions/covers”? how was if like with ycmn albums? its the first time im ordering any kpop album

hmmm i think it depends where you’re ordering from? but most kpop websites make it so that you will get five different versions if you order five. check the fine print and the description to be sure! i think for cmn i ordered off kpoptown and i got all different versions. i hope this helped! 😘

Le Jardin

Brisbane những ngày này khá lạnh, ngoài trời có lúc chỉ 8-9 độ, cảm giác giống như mùa đông Hà Nội năm lớp 12 ấy. Năm cuối cấp nhưng mình chẳng bao giờ nghĩ đến việc thi đại học, cứ ôn thi rồi đi thi thôi, không đỗ trường này thì đỗ trường khác =)). Trong cái đầu ngốc nghếch của thằng nhóc 18 tuổi năm ấy chỉ duy nhất nỗi nhớ về Linh. Linh đi Mỹ rồi... Thỉnh thoảng tan học sớm rảnh lại đi bộ hay đạp xe ra hồ Giảng Võ, hít hít bầu không khí lạnh buốt của mùa đông, thở ra khói, tai đeo ipod nghe đi nghe lại Le Jardin. Giai điệu chậm rãi đủ để theo dõi từng nốt nhạc, từng kỉ niệm cứ lần lượt quay về. Nếu ngày ấy trước khi đi Linh nhẫn tâm hơn một chút, không gửi tin nhắn trên yahoo: “I know it’s hard to believe, even myself can not. But you truly mean a lot to me” có lẽ năm cuối cấp của mình đã có màu sắc khác, biết đâu cũng có người yêu không đến nỗi chỉ vì một tin nhắn mà suốt bao năm sau chỉ chờ có một người. Hồi đấy còn dốt tiếng Anh đến mức phải nhờ cô gia sư dịch cho câu kia nghĩa là gì, nghe xong thì vui mấy ngày, tim đập rộn ràng... Thật xin lỗi “chị” Cecilia vì lúc bạn ý ôm thì đứng im không làm gì :( xong bị ném cho câu “Hiếu đúng là đồ khúc gỗ”. Hôm qua theo mấy page chuyên dịch truyện Trung Quốc là ngày thất tinh liên châu, 77 năm có 1 lần là dịp xuyên không tốt nhất trong mấy chuyện ngôn tềnh =)) chờ mãi chẳng thấy đến lượt để sửa sai lầm năm nào. Nếu được quay lại, chỉ một chữ “ LÀM “. Viết đến đây tự dưng thấy hơi lệch so với cảm xúc ban đầu, vốn định viết một bài tâm trạng đúng tinh thần bản nhạc cuối cùng lại thành thế này. Đúng là tâm hồn thuần khiết đã bị vấy bẩn :( , còn đâu Gauloncon “thủ tiết vì nàng” giờ trong đầu thật nhiều suy nghĩ đen tối. Mượn lời Châu Tinh Trí : thật cmn đê hèn quá :(

so its 23:30 5.9.2019 , khai giảng cuối của đời học sinh. Thật sự tim mình đang đập rất nhanh, đang bấm đt loạn trong bóng tôi, mh phải để night mode sợ loá mắt.. mẹ bắt tắt đèn đi ngủ sớm. I mean .. thực sự trc nay luôn tâm niệm cái tuổi đẹp nhất và sướng nhất là tuổi học trò .. vậy mà đây là lần cuối r .. buồn quá, buồn lắm , buồn lắm. Giờ đang nằm ở đệm nhà trần nguyên hãn 40/228 :))) khóc đây ...... ôi bồi hồi. Cấp 3 cũng vui, vui! Nhưng nhớ cấp 2 hơn. Những năm tháng thay đổi trong suy nghĩ , nhận thức và sống chill, sống hét mình. Đi học là vui. là bạn bè, là nghĩa thailand (lớp 6.), vinh mụn nhọt, là huyền chuột, nghĩa lác, dương zú, an chảnh, oanh polla, là thành bob, eb đăng, eb kiên..... nhớ chứ, nhớ lắm thề ..... Im adulting actually getting over the adulting age, not the alduting process. Mình trưởng thành cũng từ lâu r ấy chứ. đâu cần phải là cơm áo gạo tiền mới là trưởng thành :)) từ trong suy nghĩ, biết im lặng, biết kiềm chế cảm xúc, biết nỗ lực cho những mục tiêu, đó là adulting rồi í. Đánh sang tí mục tiêu, thì là 2 tháng hè vừa rồi full force cho ielts. và mai 6.9 mình sẽ biết kết quả. Nói sao nhỉ BIẾT KẾT QUẢ ĐẤY ÔI ĐM. viết vào đây cho nhớ luôn : thi ielts lần đầu 24.8.2018 cùng 10 đứa cùng lớp 🙂 wri nát, lis nát 7.5-8, đọc bthg nhưng vẫn sợ vì đọc ở nhà thầy sách tầm 6-6.5. Goal 7.5 nhưng h chỉ tính ra 7. đâys k biết mai điểm có đúng dự đoán k : speaking : 6.5 wri: 6.0 lis : 7.5 read : 8.9 overall 7.0.. À thì là , mình đang nói là, mai dù kết quả ntn thì cũng k hối hận lắm, (hơi) tiếc lis với wri í. Lần này cũng vui, vì mình đã cố gắng hết mình :)) cảm giác từ đợt sau thi c3 tới h mới đc full force dồn lực hết mình theo đuổi 1 mục tiêu .. nó cũng sướng đAAYS :))))))) sướng hơn so vs 2 năm lớp 10,11 trôi qua vô vị. À thì đấy nên là ngày mai k phải xem điểm sớm làm gì vội, chọn h hoàng đạo mà xem :)) 7.0 cũng k sao, chấp nhận. thi lại thôi. Nhưng k đc mất niềm tin vào bản thân : cố hết sức r. Về thời học sinh, đi học thì găsn liền vs thi cử nhỉ , như kiểu đó là 1 điểm yếu, 1 vấn nạn kiểu exam-oriented trong edu system của vn í. Nhưng cũng hay :)) nhờ thế hs mới trải qua bao giao đoạn =)))) kiểu j cũng có sttess :)) đứa nào ôn thật sự thì stress nơm nớp lo sợ mình ôn chưa đủ ( đpbai mình, ơ nma ielts mình lo như thế thật) , hay ôn đéo trúng ( exactly me), đứa k học thì stress vụ phao =)))))) ôi tuổi học tròoo, chỉ cần lo thi cử hihi vui hết cả đầu :> mà k lo đ thì để bạn bè lo, thầy cô lo, bố mẹ lo, tiền lo. ncl cứ để bố mẹ lo. Ơ , nhưng mà, 1 năm nữa là ra trường, đủ tuổi lấy ck đẻ con r đấy :))))) adulting vấp cmn sang parenting nhỉ =))))) ôi lo cho con cái mệt thật í :)) nhưng chí ít con cái đem chúng ta trở về dc với childhood, với quá khứ tuổi thơ :> viết ra đây nhẹ lòng í, tim mình bớt đập r :)) lúc trc đang nghĩ xem mai dc 7. làm gì cho ngầu :))))) h vẫn chưa nghĩ ra cdm =))))) thui NGỦ! Hôm qua mình vừa đi hất cùn. 1st time in my life. Should really be treasured so Imma write an essay ‘bout dat.

Đươc chỉ bảo rõ ràng và tân tình deo để đâu cho hết nhưng khổ nỗi hoc sinh ngu nên vẫn hút phí cần đcđ. Lần đầu mà hút cmn hết gần 1 điếu cần... too much i think... Hít xong quả cuối run như cầy sấy Parkinson. Hồn cứ lâng lâng như trên 9 tầng mây. Và thêm nữa là mình  bạo,  bạo*dương vô cưc luôn. Mình không biết nếu tỉnh thì mình có làm thế không, idk chắc vẫn có :”>. Nhưng cần powers me và makes me not think too much in the meantime. it doesnt mean i didnt think straight and thoroughly ‘bout it before getting into it, becuz believe me, i did. i aware of it before it really came to the scene. one must take responsibility for his own act tho theres no way u could avoid it. Im not a naive 16-yr-old thinking its others to blame, not herself. Mình là kiểu người tắt Activity trên Messenger để không ai biết mình lang thang trên Internet hàng giờ đồng hồ nhưng không chiu rep ib người ta (măc dù cái trick này chỉ có thể use trong khoảng 1 ngày sau khi nhân đc tin nhắn). Mình  sợ lai bi thất vong 1 lần nữa,  sợ không thể fulfill đươc tâm hồn, sơ 2 đứa không lên đỉnh cùng nhau (nghĩa đen hay nghĩa bóng?), sơ lai thêm 1 người give up on me. Cmn nói cđg thế này làm như đã official trong khi mới đang tìm hiểu nhau?! Thoiii  dẹp  dẹp cmn đhs nghiêm trong hóa vấn đề đcđ chắc không ngủ đủ giấc nên thế.

do you think if ~something~ bellarke doesn't happen this season, it means it likely won't ever? after all this talk of 'gotta tell them how you feel before the world ends', meanwhile there's only a week left and they're both leaders with lots to do. and we know jroth loves to draw this out. i think it obviously depends how they write it so i shouldn't worry, but it might feel disingenuous if nothing at all happens this season

if they separate them with the time jump with nothing or just a confession im gonna combust cmn after all this buiding and especially this season development at least they have to give them a kiss it make sense, but if all five years thing happen something explicit needs to happen for kill us and make them suffer, i hope they already did and will see them kissing i really loved it if will see bellarke first time but don’t know with this show you never know.

If it doesn’t happen this season I think it means they won’t be separated. nor will there be a time jump. 

If bellarke sex happens this season it makes me think they will be separated and there’s a better chance of a time jump. I still think a time jump is unwise, but there are tropes it fits. not this kind of story really, but��

I think JR is smart enough to know that he has to give us something substantial at this point. He’s not denying Bellarke anymore, he’s really not, but he is making us wait. But as for a cliff hanger, if he wants what happens between Bellarke to keep us hanging on to the story, he’s going to have to give us more. ESPECIALLY if there’s a significant separation or time jump.

My theory is separation, no time jump. More like season 2. But you know…. 

Eliza said in an interview with TV Guide

“It’s going to be really different for Clarke in unspeakable ways,” the actress teases. “I think fans are going to love the ending. This has been my favorite ending to a season yet. It’s really cool.”

Taylor also reveals that the season finale will set up future seasons “very differently” than the finales have in the past – but when asked whether that meant the rumors of a time-jump were true (the planet will be uninhabitable for five years after all), the star stayed mum.

So here I am thinking, “different for Clarke” and it makes me wonder if we WON’T see a parallel to a different ending. How could it set up future seasons (plural seasons!) But it’s Eliza’s favorite ending. She thinks we’re going to love it so that’s nice. Or. Well. Probably not nice knowing the show, but it’s hopeful. 

Who knows.

Honestly I just want to wait and see. I can be patient. Can you guys be patient?
