millionth attempt at an nsh but i'm happy with this one. i had the idea of them having the cone-ish antennae(?) and idk it wouldn't leave my head. as you can kind of see i sketched out the entire body, i've been more consistent w my iterator depictions- that being said it's kind of hard to see and i can't find the file so. whimpers

second is so old to me, it's five pebbles but the rot is more floral. specifically it's meant to be stylized petunias, and was vaguely related to my AMterator AU. Petunia flower symbolism (sorry if the website was lying to me)

I think that Moon would have an attachment to the raggedy cloak she's been given and has done what she can to style and fix it in a way that's more convenient for mobility. NSH's clothing was probably fine but they sewed matching patches onto their clothes for homo reasons <3 the other two bozos are FP and UI. I will eventually post my UI design when Iget to it

Everything stays, but it still Changes.

It's a clear night when they meet again.

The moon shines brilliantly against the deep blue black of the sky, the stars twinkly and shine brighter than chip has seen in a long time. Its a crisp cold night. Chip is huddled up at one end of the small boat, pulling the thing torn thing he really had no right to call a blanket, closer as he tried to find sleep.

He can see jay sleeping on the other side of the ship, god her blanket looked so much warmer. Probably to be expected, he's almost certain she brought it from her home, packed tightly into that backpack she dragged aboard.

Chip tosses and turns for a few more minutes before giving up, standing he stretched and walked toward the edge of the boat. He's tired, ever since taking off on his own the nightmares have come back, an ink ocean, tentacles... the family he lost and will find.

The moon was so bright it reflected onto the water over the ship, it really was beautiful. Though in such a dark night, as chip peered over the railing, the sea looked like a black abyss. His hands gripped the rails and he scrunched his eyes shut.

Deep breathe.

In two three.. out two three.

He slowly opened his eyes, when he pulled his hands from the rails they shook.

Then a splash.

Chips head whipped round to where he had just been looking, his breathe hitched.

Perfectly visible in the moonlight, shining almost like a spotlight onto him-

His brother.

"Gillion?" Chip said, so quiet so tentative. It was a name he hadn't said aloud in years.

Floating in the water was a blue Triton, with shoulder length green hair and bright blue eyes, a crown of coral encircling his head.

They stared each other out for what felt like an eternity.

Chip rubbed his eyes, hard, before looking again. Please, he begged, please don't let this be some sick sleep deprived hallucination.

The Triton was still there. He was real, it was him it HAD to be him-

Chip felt his smile grow so large across his face, he couldn't help the pure adrenaline that ran through his body.

Not only was he right, he COULD find the black rose pirates! But also… his brother. His brother was finally here and he was ALIVE.

Chip haphazardly climbed onto the railing, waving his hands above his head.

"GILLION!! GILLION TIDESTRIDER IGET OVER HERE!" He yelled, his excited voice piercing through that silent night.

Gillion smiled at him, this stranger… knew his name. That was a good sign, meant he was on the right track by some miracle. Gillion felt this rush of fondness, love, so many positive emotions hit him at once as soon as he saw the man on the boat. What confused him was some of their other feelings, sadness, worry… grief?

He felt like he knew everything about this boy and yet nothing at all. He knew he'd die for him, knew the boy would die for him aswell… how did he know that?

His heart was beating heavily. He took it as a good sign, slowly he swam towards the boat as Chip beckoned.

Chip leaned down, holding a hand out to Gillion, gods he just knew he was grinning like an idiot but he didn't care.

Taking Chips hand felt right.

Gillion grasped it tightly as chip helped pull him aboard the ship.

"Gods gill I am so happy to see-"

"Hello stranger!"

Chip rolled his eyes, letting go of gillions hand to motion toward himself. "Ha Ha ok very funny Gil, you know it's me!"

Gil cocked his head to the side, his eyes trailed over Chips form. It seemed familiar, he felt warmth and recognition in his chest but he could not place it- he winces slightly as a shot of pain hits him. Funny how that happens when he tries to remember where these feelings come from.

"I'm sorry but I do not know you, you know me though! How did you know my name?"

"Ok stop joking gil it's not funny" Chip says, eyebrows furrowing.

Gil shook his head,he was still smiling though- "I'm not joking I swear it! What is your name?"

Gods. Chip looked at Gil, really looked at him. His eyes were empty, not lifeless but… truely had no recognition for him. But this WAS Gillion so what the fuck was going on- did he not remember-

That must be it.

Maybe after.. after the black rose maybe he…

Chips smile tightened, "My name's Chip"

Gil smiled, shaking chips hand that was still clasped in his own in a strong hand shake.

"It is nice to meet you chip! May I ask how you knew my name? Have you heard of me from the undersea? Though you didn't say any of my ti-"

Chip turned away, beginning to fiddle with some bags of supplies. he never was good at lying to gils face

"Just a lucky guess"

He had turned away from Gillion, for some reason that… that hurt him. Gillion wanted chip to face him again, he wanted to see that smile, deep down he felt he had upset the man. Deeper down he felt like he had betrayed some sacred promise that his mind no longer remembered.

"Ah…I see."
