I feel like ive talked abt this before but “[character] is actually ___ in Earth years” is an INVALID take because yea sure Kaladin would be mid twenties in Earth years but thats NOT the age Brandon wrote him as. If he WANTED Kaladin to he treated like a 26 year old by the readers, he wouldn’t hide that information in WoB and Wikis. He would state that in the book. Plus, we have no evidence that Rosharian humans (or even humans thoughout the cosmere) dont age in relation to their planets year (blah blah Connection)

Like. Pls let me repeat. Brandon wouldve stated these facts in the book if he wanted it to be treated as full canon and unambiguous fact. Kaladin is supposed to be portrayed as 19/20. Shallan is supposed to be portrayed as 17/18. Being like “oh actually Shallan is 23” or whatever ignores a crucial part of her story, that shes SO YOUNG to have all these things happen to her

It’s also veryveryveyrveyr close to how sun behaves in my fanfic SO IT’S PERFECT SFHUIGEWHIUGHU But I do genuinely really like how he’s portrayed! I think it’s important that they’ve shown that Sun was never designed to take care of children: hinting back to the fact that both Sun and Moon were made to be performers!
