Silly user nearly got phished because she was using bing and clicking on the first link without reading it.

She only stopped because the login page got flagged by our system as not secure.

When I backed out to the search results and made her read them she couldn't tell which one was real, so I had to search her emails for the original link she got sent.

Did I mention this was for a secure Dropbox for financial auditing?

And she doesn't actually know where shes meant to send our sensitive financial information...

Welp. I saved the right one now for her.

I started reading a list of stupid-user style euphamisms, but they just made me think of that one coworker who's apparently incapable of starting at step 1 and following through to when the numbers stop. Which is traditionally how one follows numbered instructions.

So I occassionally field calls where the problem turns out to be "User started at step 5" or "user stopped following instructions halfway through for no apparent reason."

Sometimes all your picnic/pebcak/id10t errors are the same person, and you have to wonder wtf they're missing.

Finally listened to this for the first time ever yesterday and it was interesting! It’s actually so fun that Gerard is a little mean in this LOL I’m not sure if people think it’s too much but it’s actually super refreshing to hear him a little (slightly) more mean. Aight so it’s the “ID10T” podcast with Chris Hardwick and the “You Made it Weird” podcast. Side note his speaking voice is loooovely. Like he’s not got a very deep voice but there’s this nice low growl/hum undertone towards the ends of his sentences. It’s kinda fascinating

I'm now writing Hermitcraft crossover fanfic with this premise. I will explain how I got here as simply as possible, not because I think you're id10ts, but because I myself am an id10t.

#1: Sam taking good care of Michael would be cute

#2: Sam did not have food in the prison

#3: What if all Nether Portals went to the same Nether

#4: Michael somehow getting into the Nether

#5: Doc finds Michael in the nether because Doc looks like both Sam and Tubbo

#6: Doc tells Xisuma that there's a guy who's missing and this random baby Piglin is sad about it so if we could check up on that, that'd be great

#7: Xisuma just straight up asks Dream like a normal person, and Dream responds "Oh lol yeah I know where that guy is. He's in the giant prison over there!"

#8: Concerned Xisuma is concerned and tries to figure out if this guy is ok, prompting him to find out that this guy is literally without food and probably has been for several months

#9: Looney Toons style prison break
