From tilling (this is definitely for sure under 500 you don't have to check you can trust me)

Helen follows behind him, more sedate. She enters as Raylan, wide eyed, offers Arlo’s full, pristine heart to Boyd with both hands. Helen almost imagines it beating still, a trick of the light as sun shines through the window while dust flurries in the air.

“For me?” Boyd whispers, kneeling down to Raylan’s height, drenching his jeans in blood.

“Mate,” Raylan growls, pushing the heart up, pressing it to Boyd’s lips.

Helen has heard tales of Omegas. She has told the stories herself. She knows what an Omega will do, driven by instinct. Boyd Crowder’s eyes have light behind them. He makes a choice when his Omega asks him a question.

Boyd bites down, his canines splitting apart muscle, teeth sinking deep into sinew. Blood trails down his chin, his claws sink deeper into the organ, and blood slides down his fingers, along his arms, indecent veins of inhumanity. Flesh is rendered apart from itself, ripping with his movement, taking another bite. He swallows.

Helen turns around, vomiting out her breakfast of coffee and toast into Frances’s beloved azalea bush.

She wipes her chin. She allows herself ten seconds, twenty seconds of thought, of stewing, before she forces herself up, forces one foot to step back into the threshold, and then another, because she owes these kids more than she owes time to herself.

Raylan’s eyes never leave Boyd, he holds his gaze steady on hands and teeth and lips and Arlo’s heart, as Boyd eats the flesh like it’s a burger.

Helen steps around the scene, grabbing Arlo’s car keys from the kitchen table, grateful to whatever there is that he had left them so far away from the carnage. She has to save her precious son, so she drives the car a long, long way, driving up into the hills where her cousin Mary lives, Omega Mary who had once been the star of all the stories her mother had told her, whom Helen had pictured when her mother had warned them of the madness of Nature.

Helen drives and drives and drives, drives all the way up to a large cliff, in the middle of nowhere, and she puts the car in idle and helps push it down the mountain.

And then Helen walks. She walks for longer than she had driven, and she tries not to think about how grateful she is to have an excuse to leave, or how awful she feels for leaving her nephew in the hands of just another child. She thinks of Raylan’s claws in his father’s guts, of Boyd’s teeth in Arlo’s heart.

She finds herself blaming Arlo. He’s easy, like that.

She arrives home, dark in the night, tired and hungry, empty and empty and empty.

She opens the kitchen door, and catches Raylan and Boyd curled around one another in the moonbeams from the window, more kitten than human child, and takes it all in, not willing to shy away from the sight once more.

Arlo’s eyes are glassy, his lips curled into an ironic smirk, as if he had the last laugh, and Helen sighs. She grabs some pillows from the couch in the living room, shoving them under the boys heads, blanketing them with a throw from the same place, and Helen watches blood seep around the edges of a quilt her own mother had once sewn together. Little ducks on blue squares dye red, and Helen finally turns her head away again.

Oh, I'm happy to answer for "Tilling" as well!

I love that you picked this scene, haha. I'm happy to answer for other scenes as well, but this one was sooooo much fun. I definitely believe it's under 500 words and I have no doubts and I definitely trust you, haha. But if it was over 500 words (I know it's not), I wouldn't mind anyway ;)

God bless, my first fic in this fandom contained graphic cannibalism, and I haven't looked back since. To be honest, when I first wrote this scene, I churned my own stomach! How far I've come, haha. Now it reads pretty well, to me, at least. Just what I was going for. Even reading back, I appreciate the word choices, to strike the right balance of horror and romance, which I love often. So even though this fic is so old, it still holds a nice place in my heart!

I really enjoy Helen's POV, to be honest. You see her again in "The Body of the Beast," haha. I feel like this fic really allowed me to explore her pragmatism and compartmentalization, which I love so much in part because you see it in Raylan as well. I love that it feels like he learned it from her, and yet he gets so angry when he sees her exercise it sometimes. Both of those skills are as much coping mechanisms as anything else, and I feel they both hold it against each other sometimes too. I love how in this fic, you see how she switches gears, how she makes priorities, and then sticks to them without question, because I love that Raylan does this in canon, and then in fic as well.

Here, I had a lot of fun playing with instinct v. consciousness, which is a theme I love to use in a/b/o fic. Here, Raylan is mad with omega instinct, he knows not what he does, but when he clears his head, he will not be disgusted like Helen was. He will be proud that he provided a heart for his mate. I mention in the sequel that Raylan dreams of shooting Boyd in the heart, a scene from canon. I supposed he must be a little more touchy toward Boyd's heart. He needs Boyd to be secure, too, as his mate and the sire of his children.

I have Helen leave, in part to practicality of how logistically you need certain steps to disguise a death, but also because it allows Raylan and Boyd to play house. Raylan feeds Boyd and they hold one another and Boyd talks Raylan down from his instinct fueled fugue state, and they get to take care of each other, just how they will want to do so for the rest of their lives. Children can't actually take care of one another, but even in non-omegaverse au's, children see how they are cared for and when lacking control over their lives, want to exert that care as well. When Helen comes back, she acts as an authority figure, covering them in blankets. They were playacting at her care specifically, and she proves it by making it so the law never finds this, by covering them in a blanket and keeping them warm once the heat has been lost from the blood itself.

It's also just another soft moment to juxtapose against Arlo's body, another set piece of horror. I love working in contrasts, haha. Found again in the imagery of blood on a soft duckie blanket.

Let's just picture: Lust is still alive, and begins interacting with Ling cause he has Greed's philosopher's stone

It doesn't even have to be anything inherently romantic. Lust is forced to interact with Ling because he holds her "brother"

But it was one comment from her that set you off

She was in the other room with Greed, and you'd decided to listen in. They were talking about someting with Father and some guy named Hoenheim

"Honestly?" Lust said. "Your new host is really cute...too bad he's so young."

"Hm? Oh, yeah." Greed brushed her comment off and continued the conversation like before

Greed knows you and Ling are a thing and has your back. Plus Ling was freaking the fuck out in their shared headspace.

But, that was enough for you to creep away from the door and sit on the couch. Lust was attractive, and her main game was seducing men to get what she wanted...

What if she wants Ling?

What if she convinces Ling that she's better?

What if Ling changes his mind and wants to be with her instead...?

So many what if's swam through your head. Your heart thumped rapidly in your chest, your lungs feeling like they weren't getting enough air, your eyes stinging with tears as constant images of Ling and Lust together began to haunt you.

Slowly curling up into yourself, you turned so your face was plastered into the couch cushion

The ringing in your ears grew louder and you soon tuned out Lust and Greed, now being replaced by image after image of Ling with Lust

You refused to let tears fall, not wanting to bother Ling with this whenever Lust leaves and Greed puts Ling back

You didn't know how long you'd laid there until a pair of hands landed on your side. You jumped and turned. Ling's eyes were still a mahogany red, which meant Greed was still in control.

"Hey kid. From the look on your face, I'm assuming you heard what Lust said."

"Is it that obvious...?" You say, rubbing your eye.

Greed patted your head. "Sorry, kid."

"Sorry for wha-"

Greed had closed his eyes and allowed Ling to take over again. The prince pounced on you, rubbing his cheek with yours, ecstatic to be back in control

Ling's memory is spotty when Greed is in control, so he didn't know you'd heard Lust's comment

You hesitantly wrapped your arms around Ling, mumbling a low "hi"

Ling paused. "I know that tone. What's wrong, honey?"

Ling, your ever doting boyfriend, looked at you with concern.

"No, I'm...I'm fine."

"You sure? Your breathing heavier than normal..."

You gave Ling a fake smile. "Yeah, yeah."

Ling, not believing you, hugged you tighter. "You can tell me, hun. Nothing's gonna happen, okay?"

You trusted him, of course, but your brain and heart were telling you no... "I...I'm worried I'm gonna lose you to Lust."

"Oh...so you heard her?" Ling looks down at you. "Listen, I love you, okay? Not her. She can go try to hook up with someone else for all I care. Besides, this body currently inhabits her brother, so I don't think she's thinking anything in particular..."

Ling snickered at the end, kissing your forehead. "I promise, I'd never let her get close to me. Greed and her just needed to talk about something is all. I love you, okay?"

Numbly, you nodded, laying your head on his chest. "I love you too."

"Now, let's watch a movie and order in, yeah? I'll get your favorite~!"

He suddenly got up and moved to your TV, messing with it, then fiddling with his phone and ordering your favorite food for delivery. As you watched him, you felt the oxygen slowly return to your chest, and your muscles relaxed. You could trust Ling, he loved you. He really did. He wouldn't be doing this if he wasn't.

"Hey, Ling."

"Yeees, sugarplum?" Ling looked up from his spot on the floor.

"I love you."

Ling giggles. "I love you too! Food'll be here in fifteen, okay?"

Hello, professor! If I may, what was your first encounter with a legendary pokemon like? I dont know how often you've been to Sinnoh, but we don't tend to really believe in legendary pokemon out here unless you live somewhere rural like Solaceon Town (a personal favorite break room game for my office in Jubilife City is a blurry picture of a Fire-Type Pokemon called "Moltres or Rapidash?" that we all take votes on every month. Its just sort of the vibe here). But recently when I was travelling for work, I spotted emergency news coverage of the Eternatus Incident in the Galar region. There it was, clear as day on screen! I've never seen anything like it in my life, and even just that video footage left me pretty shaken (and humbled. I've been thinking of going to the church in Hearthome on my day off and saying a prayer there...just in case).

I remembered you mentioning that you sometimes recieve the odd legendary on Dotaku Island, and I guess I was just wondering what it's like to have one in front of you? How does it feel?

I have not once received a legendary to care for on the island, I don't know where you read that. I may have worded a post badly perhaps, which is entirely my bad. I do not in any way want to, or care for legendaries. They're too much for people to handle, and don't belong on this island, this isn't their home, and they have important jobs elsewhere.

I have briefly field studied Shaymin from afar (not handled, not interacted, just observed for notes), they're pretty docile, one of the calmer ones or so i'm told. they exude no immense pressure or power, and other than being incredibly skittish to sounds, act as any normal pokemon would. The only other interaction i've had is one singular run in with one Raikou very briefly in my ranger days, that on occasion I think returns to the island to look around, before disappearing for another year or so. Back when we crossed paths I can safely say that thing was MAD. I was chasing poachers, they joined in, we both just took off after them in a blind rage. The electricity that thing put out made it hard to breathe, maybe it was the voltage, maybe it was the pokemons intensity, it fried electrical devices, rattled the earth with every step, and made my whole team VERY uneasy, something thats quite difficult to do, even back then. I have never felt such fear, coupled with intense motivation in all my life since. Makes your chest tight, like you could die right there, but also, it's on your side? Its not going to come after you??? You hope! It vanished, I was left to clean up the mess, and now we see it on very rare occasion once or twice in a year, at great distance, usually observing the pokemon around the area, or our staff at work. Pretty sure it hops along the waves, saw it head out once, and it did jump across the water back towards the mainland.

This job breaks your sense of wonder at times. I look at the legends as any other pokemon, they're really cool, but if presented with one to care for, you do your job, get the pokemon well again, and release it promptly. I love that folks study and track these myths to learn and bask in their wonder, hypothesise on their natures their habits, LOVE IT, but me personally-I have little to no interest in any of them, and would do just about anything to avoid working with them. There are no medical books, no references for their care, how do you heal something no ones got a good look at before? Where are their organs? What tolerance do they have to modern medicines? Risk is too high for me personally. Luckily they are mega rare, and I never have to handle that haha.

No doubt a disappointing answer, but it's the honest truth. Hopefully you spot that Moltres for real one day, it's said that if you lay eyes on one in real life, you're filled with a burning energy for weeks after.

I watch an anime called Food Wars and could only imagine Sunwoo’s moaning while eating sounding like one of the characters on there having a foodgasm lol

He needed a break from Minjee, so his eardrums could recover lol. I’m heartless and don’t feel the slightest bit sorry for her. Doesn’t she know?!!!…

…actually! I think can. She just doesn’t possess the qualities needed to make Sunwoo wanna change, his hoe ways.

Sunwoo was honest from the start. Can’t be mad at him

and can’t really blame her for catching “feelings” either.

I feel her wanting Sunwoo to move in with her, is partially down to dickmatization. But! Mostly not wanting y/n anywhere near Sunwoo, she doesn’t want them becoming closer.

For future reference Sunwoo needs to remember

He needs to be more careful where he puts that thing 😏

‘You have a hard time picturing Sunwoo being lonely when his bedroom is practically a hotel, but you stay quiet.’

I couldn’t help but chuckle when I read that 🤣🤣 Y/n is failing to realise that it’s still possible to feel lonely, while surrounded by people.

He’s opening up pretty easily with y/n. He takes every opportunity that arises to spend time with her. She could actually be the one making him feel less lonely. She’s spending time with him, and not looking for or wanting anything in return. He’s a source of “entertainment” for a lot of people… well.. for women at least lol. So, getting to be with someone who doesn’t want anything from him must be freeing.

"Will you just be quiet and accept help for once?"

It’s hard to accept help when you’ve come out of a toxic relationship. Asking for and accepting help requires a level of trust and vulnerability that may be difficult to do for y/n, without thinking the person offering help has some sort of hidden agenda. Trust is hard to give and build when you’ve been hurt.

For him to notice this about her, he needs to have been paying her attention for way longer than they’ve been living together.

Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking the “wrong number” person is y/n’s toxic ex

As a black woman with very uncooperative, rebellious hair, having flour thrown at me. It would have literally been Sunwoo’s last day on earth! After murdering him, I would sit there a crying mess, thinking about having to deal with my hair again. I’ll deal with his body later… Priorities!!! 🤣🤣🤣

It was an insanely cute scene tho.

Interesting point to bring up about Sunwoo watching her for longer than she realizes. How else would he know that she doesn't accept help a lot? That she'd rather do everything on her own, bc she feels she can only rely on herself?

I tried to keep the hair and the flour/water as generic as I could, but it was a little hard haha. I know everyone has different hair types and I almost scrapped the whole idea together, but it ended up kinda cute so I was like 🥺🥺... I like your priorities, though lol. Nct Hollywood gives me a headache. Like everything that SM has put out about it seems fine? But it's all so vauge. Now that we have a bit more information I just have so many more questions. Not to mention the way people explode and are making jokes and memes out of everything. Like the way people are saying DY, MK and Kun's expressions were disgusted by NCT H when I mean they didn't look over the moon or anything but like you said we don't know what's going through their minds.

It's just overwhelming me so much and right after Dream released probably one of the most amazing title tracks I've heard in ages (the song is completely my taste and style). Like if this happened at any other time I'd just yeet of social media as fast as I could but I want to keep up with Dreams promotions (at least I'm not on twitter, I've heard enough stories to know that keeping my distance is the best option).

Sorry for ranting! Feel free to ignore this I think I just wanted to get that off my chest haha 💚

NCT Hollywood - the big enigma that seems to divide NCT fans, though others could say that it actually unites NCTzens through their hatred for the upcoming project.

I won't lie, I admit that when I first heard about it, I was mad and disgruntled. All of us expected a new unit, but we were hoping for NCT Japan perhaps, that would include Shotaro and Sungchan. Basically a unit that would incorporate the already existing members. Also the way it was announced, just totally out of nowhere. I woke up to see a picture of some dude I've never heard before shaking hands with Lee Sooman with a "NCT Hollywood" caption. And to this day, we don't really have much information about when, who, how, where, like you said, everything is so vague. And I think that that's mainly why the fans reacted the way they did.

It took me a few moments to calm down after the first storm, but I'm really growing impatient with some NCTzens, that just can't let go of that hatred and blatant racism.

1) STATEMENT: NCT works with, much to our dislike, an infinite concept of members. We've always known, we've been told this from the start. We can't do anything about this. End of discussion, let's move on. 2) COUNTER STATEMENT: SM's management of the existing units and individual members is questionable and sometimes frustrating. With this point of view I agree, so if anyone's reason to dislike Hollywood is "I don't want a new unit, first of all I want the members to have better management, then we can talk about new units" then yeah, I can relate.

What I can't relate with, however, is (and these are all paraphrases of what I've seen on the internet):

I'm not going to stan some white boys (-> Oh, didn't know the US only had white people)

It's been proven that American people have no talent and no skill, why would you want them in a group, they can't possibly have what it takes to become idols ( -> ???)

I don't really see myself staning a white boys group, maybe if they were Asian-American or if they acted like Asians ( -> ????????)

These vanilla vultures yet again stealing what doesn't belong to them, leave kpop to Koreans ( -> you know SM is owned by Lee SooMan? A... Korean? White people didn't come to SM to steal kpop, Lee SooMan came to US to make a deal, blame him, not some poor guys that just want to sing and dance)

I guess I just have to stop thinking about kpop fans as of ordinary educated people that just want to enjoy music, because I'm being let down each and every single day.

Cause the solution to this conundrum is actually pretty easy: -> you like the music, you enjoy it and support the unit -> you don't like the music, you don't listen to it and move on

It really is this simple <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Taylor Swift Albums Reviews

Hello my lovely blog readers,

I want to thank those of you who stick around through all my crazy rants and long Glee posts. You guys are the real MVPs and I will always appreciate you.

Anyway onto why we're here, in the wake of Taylor rereleasing her albums I found it fitting to take a look back at her discorgaphy so far! Thanks to my good friend Aly, I decided to relisten to all of her albums which the order was randomly decided. I will be talking about the deluxe editions so enjoy!

Let's start off with the first album that was drawn first which was Red.

One of my favorite albums right off the bat with probably her best album cover. I remember how excited I was for 22, mostly because my girl Dianna Agron's name was in the liner notes. Let's dive into what I thought now about 9 years later!

Favorite Track: Begin Again Least Favorite Track: The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody) Bonus Track I Wish was on the main album: All of them!!! Favorite Bonus Track: The Moment I Knew Album Ranking: 6th/9

Overall I adore this album so so much. The only track I didn't care for in the least was The Last Time. I think you'll find a trend with me that my least favorite Tayor tracks tend to be her duets (the exception being Everything Has Changed which is also on this album and is the purest of all). The album has held up and even moreso I love it than the first time I listened. Crazy. Anyway onto the rankings of each song. DISCLAIMER: These are just my opinions and you can disagree with them but please be respectful.

Honestly I adore this album so much as a whole and ranking every song was so hard. Holy Ground honestly had a lot of potiental I hated the arrangement but if I heard an acoustic version I would be sold, much like State of Grace which I wasn't huge on the original but the acoustic I'm obsessed with. Moving onto our second album which is one of Taylor's newest.

folklore! Funny enough on first listen I wasn't as into it as everyone else was but trust me, the relisten definitely helped me change my mind. I also heard the lakes for the first time which I loved. Since it's the only bonus track I'm going to say I definitely wished it had made the main album over some of the other songs on it. Let's dive into my thoughts and rankings.

Okay I know cardigan and betty being so low is going make people unhappy but honestly I just loved the other songs better listed above it. So many gorgeous songs and a great era for Taylor. It's not my favorite era and still falls in my lower half of her albums but I can appreciate the tracks on it more than I did before with the relisten.

Now onto Taylor's most recent album which came up next in our randomization in evermore

Unlike folklore on original listen I absolutely adored this album and had it in my top tier Taylor albums but will that opinion hold up? Let's find out.

I enjoyed the album none the less and I do think that most of my opinions are somewhat popular. I only see people being mad about 'tis the damn season being so low but honestly 1-11, I loved all the tracks so.

Up next is the rerelease that started it all, Fearless!

Now let's see after 13 years (hey Taylor's lucky number) if my opinion of this iconic album changed. Back in the day I was so obsessed with this album so let's see how I feel now!

I still remember when this album was first coming out how jazzed and excited I was for it. It was highly anticipated for me being that I had fallen in love with Taylor from her debut album and listening back it still holds up as one of my favorite albums. The only two tracks I wasn't into back then and still am not into are Tell Me Why and The Way I Loved You. Other than those two tracks the entire album is incredible to listen to. I'm so excited to hear Taylor's versions of all these songs and who knows maybe my mind will change on some of them.

Moving onto the next album to be randomly selected which is almost every Swiftie's favorite 1989.

Funny enough, originally this album isn't in my top favorites so who knows if my opinion will change on a relisten. Let's find out!

Okay listening back. I now get the hype behind it. Listening to it with bonus tracks honestly makes all the difference. No joke. It's a much better album with the bonus tracks added. Honestly if Wonderland and You are in Love were on the main album it would've been top tier to me. Thank God for the deluxe version but team Taylor what is up with you hiding some of her best tracks and only releasing them on the bonus tracks? I'm mad. Also speaking on Wonderland, I adore the song even without the rumours of it being about my favorite celebrity Dianna Agron. Had the bonus tracks been on the main album it would higher but as a whole I love the album.

And now for our next album, which is reputation!

This is probably Taylor's most controversial albums, some love it and some hate it. I actually am somewhere in the middle. I love some of the tracks while others I could've done without. Let's see where it goes for me listening back.

Okay I feel like my choices here are controversal especially Getaway Car being pretty low on the album. Honestly I liked the song just wasn't into the hype that everyone else said about it, sorry you guys. Also Dancing with Our Hands Tied on the ALBUM is my least favorie song. I absolutely adored Taylor's acoustic version that was in the rep Tour. Had she released that on the album it would be after Look What You Made Me Do. The arrangement on the album I just didn't care for and I prefer acoustic Taylor which I think a lot of you gather from my top picks.

Anyway moving onto to our next album that was randomized which is...Taylor Swift!

Ah yes the album that started it all. 15 years ago I discovered Taylor Swift via this album thanks to CMT. I was a huge country music stan back in the day who knew how this one album would lead to a career I've been following for 15 years. Now how does this album hold up? Let's find out!

This album still holds up 15 years later and made me so nostalgic. This had to be the hardest album for songs to rank thus far. Taylor hit it out of the park on her very first album crazy. She set the bar very high, funny enough it's the first album that a bonus track is my least favorite track but the entire album is a great listen, especially if you love country. It's very different from anything else Taylor did but that's what's so charming about it.

And now onto our second to last album which is another one of my favorites and the only album Taylor wrote fully on her own, Speak Now.

The album cover is up there with Red as my favorite and I'm excited to listen back to this album. I remember how much I enjoyed it when it was first released. Excited to see what I think 11 years later. Let's find out.

One of Taylor's absolute best albms and it was incredibly hard to rank these songs. I know people are going to be mad about Enchanted being low but I just didn't love it as much as the other tracks on the album, this after all is one of the best albums she ever released so it's incredibly hard to make the call.

Moving onto our final album which I've called my absolute favorite, Lover.

It's only been an year since its release but will it hold up as my favorite album? Let's find out!

Yep it held up. This album is my favorite thing Taylor ever released. It was a tough call because I loved all of her top albums so much. Miss Americana still is my favorite performance which is no surprise, I was obsessed when this song came out 2 years ago. It's Nice to Have a Friend is the weakest track on the album but by no means is it a bad track. The entire album is a great listen all the way through, the only song that's hard to listen to especially if you have a sick parent "Soon You'll Get Better" I literally bawled after I finished it. So if you don't want an emotional song that might make you sad, it's best to skip it even though it's one of favorite tracks.

i'm back with my bs. this is for my bestie @lady-ofmagic-andstars. basically, all of my dumb thoughts while i watched 'darkest hour pt 2', 04.02 of merlin. in case you weren't aware.. ✨spoilers✨

right off the bat i'm sad

ok when i first watched this i was really confused. i mean, you see others when they interact with the dorocha have that perpetual frost on their face right? all of them, every single one. so imagine my surprise when merlin has no frost on his face, and he's miserable yea- but he's not dead??

like tbh, watching this again, ik why but when i first watched this, i was SO confused.

Favorite Fallout Ship: This really should be easy; I should easily say "LW x Fawkes", given how much I've written of it. And I think I'd still call that the winner. But a close runner up, worthy of mention, is SS x Nick Valentine. Ugh, such good ships, both. (Here’s one of my own drawings.)

2. Your newest ship: Huh... It's a toss-up between Luffy x Jinbe, and Luffy x Katakuri, since they both become relevant around the same time. (Here’s a cute Luffy and Jinbe.)

4. Favourite m/f ship: To avoid saying LW/Fawkes too much, I'll say it's Varric x Cassandra, from Dragon Age Inquisition! (RIP Cassandra’s head in this pic, but oh well.)

6. Favourite f/f ship: Gosh, I dunno if it's actually my favorite, but of recent ships I'd say Siora x de Sardet, from Greedfall. You can romance Siora as a male character too, but I just see it working better with a female de Sardet. (Not my de Sardet, but a nice one anyway.)

8. Most fluffy ship: Oh, Takeo x Yamato, from Ore Monogatari! Holy moly, what a pair of cuties, and what a cute anime! Super recommended if you like romcoms; I'm gonna go watch it again right this second haha (Gosh look at these goofballs.)

10. Most smutty ship: Y'know, I'm just gonna say Symbrock (Venom/Eddie) by virtue of the whole body-sharing experience. I think the fandom is like inherently, inescapably horny lol. (And by fandom I’m also including the very horny canon comics.)

12. Character that you can only imagine in one ship: This used to be like... everyone. I really never used to be a multishipper. But I've been around too long now; lol I have too many ideas. So who would never be shipped with anyone other than their one perfect OTP? Never ever? *sits here for any eternity* Ok, I gotta say it's Helmeppo from One Piece. Look, it's Coby or bust, partly because they're perfect partner-besties, and partly because nobody else would put up with his shit other than saintly Coby. (He’s a pretty good boyfriend though; haha this episode killed me.)

14. Character that you can’t imagine in any ship: Genuinely, this question just sounds like a challenge to me, but a lot of One Piece villains could fit this bill. I'll just go ahead and say Perospero. (Ahh shoot now I'm imagining him in a hate-ship with Pedro, but oh well. No take-backsies.) (I hate his tongue so much.)

16. Characters that you kinda ship but prefer as brotp: After the Whole Cake Island arc, Luffy x Sanji fits this pretty well. They have a very intense relationship (in this arc, esp), but I think it works best platonically. (God I love the opening for this arc so very much.)

18. Guilty pleasure ship: I don't think there's a point in feeling guilty, so it's either all my monster ships or none of them XD NEXT QUESTION. (Pictured: Elias and Chise from Ancient Magus Bride, because they didn’t manage to feature in any of the other questions.)

20. Ship that you liked but don’t anymore: I don't think I've ever really stopped liking a ship, but on the rare occasion it sort of gets replaced, and the only time I can remember that happening is in Fullmetal Alchemist, where I shipped Roy x Ed ages ago, and then the reboot did a much better job of presenting the mostly-canon relationship of Roy x Riza, so I didn't have as much reason to support the non-canon ships anymore pffft. (Look at them though. I do still like them. And this picture is rad.)

22. Ship that you immediately fall in love with after one scene despite not considering it before: I mean I guess Luffy x Katakuri. To be honest, I'd had a friend mention being into them, but I wasn't caught up on the anime so I was like "pffft, why?". And then their fight scene just got so.... !!! Like...!!! Like, these were enemies in a life-or-death battle, but you could SEE THEM start to like and respect and admire each other during this long-ass fight. Katakuri goes through literally an entire character growth arc during this fight, and by the end he's clearly thinking, "Okay, this pipsqueak is like no one I've ever met before; he's special, and I'm kind of honored for him to kick my ass, and also I hope he comes back to visit me one day, uwu". It, uh, it was an experience haha.

24. Biggest notp: I really only get NoTPs when I'm heavily invested in something. Back when I was into BNHA, I really didn't like Izuku x Todoroki, but since I'm not as into the series anymore, it doesn't bother me. I suppose right now my "nope"est pairing would be... uh... LW x Jericho, from FO3? I never cared for it to begin with, but it's really right-out in my current fic series. (I should have found a nicer picture but “Alright then” sums up my feelings about them.)

26. Characters that you like in every dynamic (lovers,friends,enemies) : I mean, not to rehash a ship again, but Luffy x Katakuri for sure, because they already are basically frenemies. (Look at that drawing! Even Oda knows they’re meant to be buddies!)

28. Ship that you expected to ship before reading/watching franchise and you don’t: Hmm. I'm sure there is one! I try not to have a lot of preconceived notions when I watch something... Well, I didn't expect this before the series, necessarily, but I always kind of thought I'd get into Tony Stark x Steve Rogers, but I just... never really did. Seemed like something I'd like, but it didn't catch on, even before other options became available. (Fun memes though.)

30. Favourite canon ship: EVER? Gosh, uh, let's go with Goliath x Elisa from Gargoyles! Ahh yes, someone made a good decision with that one!! Bring back whoever wrote that series! (I’m blessed by this canon gif.)

32. Favourite ship for hurt-comfort: For recent stuff, let's definitely say Kiddway (Edward Kenway x 'James Kidd' aka Mary Read), from Assassin's Creed 4. BOY, they just had to hurt me like that in canon! Their story seemed absolutely ripe for H/C. I really should write some fic.(God look at that little wink.)

34. Ship that you never expected to ship when you were younger but here you are: HMMM what series did I like before shipping was a thing? OH OKAY here's one: Zelda x Ganondorf. I definitely accepted the 'Zelda/Link is basically canon' line as a kid, so shipping either of them with the Big Bad Ganon was not remotely on my mind. In fact, I don't think I'd have ever considered it if it weren't for A Tale of Two Rulers. (Ugh man I wish I could paint like Lor does.)

Hey Irene! about that lighter, I've been searching like madness for 20+ minutes now (in both swedish and english), without any luck, haha. Any chance you can share which episode(s) you've see that lighter from? (because I have never paid attention to that myself). I dunno if it will help, but it might give some inspiration what to search for, hmmhm.

hey, it’s from Gentleman Jack 103. It also shows up in episode 6 when AW wakes up in the night, AL uses it to light up a candle beside the bed.

@victorialitera answered my post (thank u so much by the way) saying they’re pretty sure it’s a portable tinderbox, so that’s what I’m researching now.

After a little history check I found out that friction matches were invented in 1826, and that till that time tinderboxes were what was used around the house to light a fire. So it is more than plausible (I think) that in 1832 tinderboxes were still widely used. And also, it looks like friction matches always had kinda the same look, they have not changed much since their invention – this kinda rules out the possibility of this thing being an early friction match of some kind.

I do think that portable tinderbox is the right answer, I just have to find the exact same kind.

EDIT_1: okay, looking closely, she uses a fire striker (? no idea what’s the name in english, in italian it’s called an acciarino) to start the flame on top of something that is made of I don’t know what but it looks reusable.

And this is what confuses me about this whole thing: the way she lights it. 1) in everything I found about tinderboxes all the contents are not “fixed” to the box. 2) you have to take them all out to light the fire��so the way ^this thing^ works is kinda different.

so… imo it looks like she’s holding a “pen” of sorts with flint on the end (the white tip)… basically flint with a handle. the box contains carbon steel (create a spark by striking with the flint). what i can only assume is that the bit at the end is combustible something or other… and it looks like there’s makybe??? a plug on the end of the box. Perhaps there’s oil inside of it, and the combustible *mumblemumble* is an oversized wick? basically strike up a spark with flint+steel, light the wick, refill the body of the box with oil when needed? this is literally me going by what it looks like is happening and paying no regard to historical whatever

A FB group had a discussion regarding the tinderbox a while back, and people were equally confused and intrigued. There was one answer that might be of help. The person read somewhere (maybe in Angela Steidel biography) that AL had it custom-made to her specifications. That might explain the unusualness of the design. :)

This explains A LOT. ( @flozmin you were so right!) Now I have to find that reference and ideally find the journal entry where Anne describes it (which I feel is gonna take forever). @extra-mt16 I’m not really active on FB for these kind of things, do you know if someone managed to find the diary entry? Or do you have some hint around what time Anne had the tinderbox made?

This page was linked on the FB group and has pictures similar to what Anne used in the show and explains how it works: http://www.oldandinteresting.com/tinderbox.aspx also had a vague memory of Anne talking about something like this in her diaries and I found the following reference in Anne Choma’s book:"John [Oates] thought that for 2 or 3 pounds he could make me a portable one (a reservoir of air like that for air gun and filled in the same way), all to go in a box of 6 inch square - one reservoir full would keep up a strong and regular blast for 1/4 hour” - 12 Sep 1832 (SH:7/ML/E/15/0117).This seems to be talking about something slightly different (blowpipes rather than a tinderbox) but I wonder if that’s what is ringing bells with people.

The link about the tinderbox is also the one I stumbled upon while researching tinderboxes (another reference to understand how those things worked is this: regencyredingote - The Tinderbox it doesn’t have pictures but it’s an interesting read that explains in great details how a tinderbox works etc. etc.) and yep, it looks like the concept of the thing is the same, but the design is different.

I’m just very curious to know if the object we see is accurate or if it’s just inspired by something AL wrote in her journal (like the quote posted above for example). By the way, half an hour ago I wrote to Anne Choma on twitter asking her if the object we see in the show is accurate (long shot, I know but worth trying). Let’s see how this thing evolves.

We did!! "Hello everyone! I'm back with my girlfriend, Sara, her brother, Frankie, our friend Tino and today we'll be exploring an abandoned house!" Waiola sits on a ledge with her three friends, smiling widely at the camera set up.

"But that's not all!" Tino interrupts her surprise, jump scaring them all. Sara shoved at him, managing to knock him off the ledge they were on.

"That's right, as a bonus, we were going to explore some sewer tunnels, or at least that's what we think they are." The main host of the channel completes the surprise that Tino tried to ruin.

"So while there's still sun around, let's get to it!" Waiola cheers with her friends, all of them rushing the camera.

A transition into the next scene, edited beautifully by a good friend who would rather remain anonymous, revealed the gang walking in a line on a back road, trees decorating the edge of the frame. Chatter echoed a little, coming from these four teenagers. "Tino, you're a clown if I've ever seen one." And they were ganging up on Tino being the wildest one in the group.

"No, he's the whole circus, Way."

They giggle as Tino threatened them, "if you guys don't stop I'll have to remove your femurs, losers."

"Not if I do it first," Frankie's response was as fast as he heard it.

"Is that a threat?"

"No, it's a promise."

The four teenagers banter like this as the time passed, and not long came before a large house came into their line of vision. Waiola lifts the camera, zooming for a better look at it.

"For a bit of backstory, this house was built for, like, the mayor for our town, way back when it was built. About a hundred years or so, I think. But no one has lived in it for a good decade, for sure." Waiola starts to speak, almost as if it was natural information. Maybe it was.

"No abandoned house looks that good, I'm just saying." Frankie comments, the camera catching a concentrated boy pondering on the outward appearance of the house.

"It's kinda like a museum, Frank. You want tourism to have a leg to stand on? Have something old and touchable, maintain it. I'm just saying, the history teacher went over this like a few days ago." She told him, him rubbing his chin like a philosopher.

"Guys guys guys guys, get in the trees!" Sara hisses, pushing everyone into the wilderness beside them. Everyone panics but stays quiet, watching as an old car wheezes past their line of sight. Several minutes pass, the frame jumping to the scene of them walking again, but dodging trees in their way.

"Tell the viewers what happened, Tino," a voice that's not Waiola, presumably Frankie's, points the camera at the boy. He looks right into the lens as much as he cans, trying to talk in a quiet yet loud voice, if that makes sense.

"So, we found out that the car that passed by us is doing something at the mayor's house. However, because Frankie said we came out all the way out here we might as well-"

"-hold on, I said that? I'm pretty sure it was you, Tino."

"Pretty sure isn't fact, Franklin, and fact is you said that-"

"-Fact is you're a pussy-"

"-you said that we should continue."

Waiola smacks them both on the head, taking the camera away and facing it towards the whole group walking. "Someone complained about how far we came out, so we're going to commit a crime because they didn't want to leave without that. After that, sewers." She finished talking and the screen faded to a different picture.

A picture of the old, yet refined, house that was originally a mayor's home. The white has yet to be repainted, so it looks like an old pale yellow on the outside. Vines curl around the pillars supporting the porch roof. The porch steps seemed to have sported thousands of feet, whether that is true or not, that's left to the porch steps. Window panes gathered dust, or better yet, the window frames are left paneless. The roof looked like someone belly-flopped out of the sky and onto the poor thing.

Needless to say, withering with class.

A shot of the group of friends flashes onto the frame, posing in front of a sign, Carmine Cabins, the official name of the lot.

It transitions over to silent footage of the girls peeking over the bushes, spotting no cars sitting in the gravel. "Alright, we'll check the place for outside cameras, Tino, hold the camera." With that, Waiola and Sara run, ducking well beneath the green hedges surrounding it.

Frankie pulls out puns out of his ass for a solid minute or two before they return, panting ever so slightly. Sara catches her breath first, "no cameras, an opening behind the house, but I'm pretty sure someone is inside."

Tino and Frankie share a look, "you sure there's a person in there?"

"Even if its not fact, I thought I heard someone. Then again, it could've been y'all two I was hearing." Sara started to doubt herself, checking the fresh memory in her brain but everyone starts moving before she's comfortable in that self-doubt.

They try not to crunch too many leaves or branches, but sometimes it can't be helped. Neither can Tino's smartass, apparently, as Waiola smacked him for the third time that day.

"So if we can get in there, then that'll be step one of this be gay do crime agenda, and we can satisfy one demographic of my followers." She flashes a thumbs up to the camera, pointing the camera at her friends as they pull themselves into the house through a somewhat large window. She hands it to her girlfriend, and she slips through as well.

"We're going to have to be quiet for now, so, sorry for no commentary." Waiola whispers, winking at the camera and it fades to a black screen.

The black screen evolves into a scene where Waiola is pointing the camera at Frankie, who's face was utter fear. He mouths some words she doesn't catch. He then makes a running gesture and she agrees, everyone following in suite, quietly though of course. As Tino, the last one to jump out of the window, hits the ground, a shot is released in the air.

"Run!" They shout at him in whispers, dashing for it in the direction of the nearby sewers.

Waiola's lungs burned in her chest, not able to swallow or breathe, and her legs wanted to fall off but they can do that when they're ankle-deep in shit-water. The camera has a view of swinging, thanks to Frankie's expert handling of the camera.

She hears another shot go off, and she ushers them to head down the sloping hill, into the sewer tunnel. Grass is ripped up as they slide down and splash not so gracefully into the tunnel, hiding out in there. They all cover their mouths, leaning against the sewer walls, a little reluctantly.

The group hears one more shot in the distance, before Waiola motions for them to pull out their flashlights out of their packs.

"Alright, time for some sewer exploring, wish us luck!" Waiola smiles tiredly at the camera.

The scene fades seamlessly into a shot of Sara leaning against the wall, holding her leg, and Waiola, the dutiful lover, is worrying over her like mad. "Are you sure we can keep going?" She asks, turning to look over her shoulder to shout at the boys.

"Its a cramp, Way, not some open wound fermenting in sewer water."

"Still! We should be cautious," with that, Waiola then had Tino carry her knapsack while she carried her girlfriend. Yes, she cringed when her wet shoes touched her legs but it was worth it to her, knowing she wasn't hurting herself.

"Alright, I'm tired of this shit."

"Haha, too bad. You're the one who said we had to go to the house, you get to suffer." Tino pouted, flashing the pathway with two flashlights.

The screen fades again, but this time, they're out of the sewers and on the road again, but they're in town, well, the old version of it. "Okay," Waiola huffs, seeming to be in a mood, "the boys were complaining, and what with the guy with the gun, we decided twenty minutes walking in the sewers was enough for the day. Be back in a second with the outro!" She pants, flashing a peace sign at the camera Frankie was holding.

And the screen did black out completely this time, and it was just Waiola and Sara in her backyard, lying in a hammock, napping peacefully for a minute. Then, Waiola gets out, kissing the girl's forehead before grabbing the camera and focusing it on her.

"The boys went home, Sara's staying the night, and I guess that was it? Anyways, thank you guys for watching!" Waiola spews out her outro and when she stopped recording, she let out a breath, returning to her girlfriend's welcoming arms.

"Boys are dumb." She mumbles, and Sara all but nods, leaving the two to their nap.

I realised why I am like this, and I feel like I'm left out a lot. It's because I want be special. Like that's why it bothers me when people say that I am just a normal person and react like how anyone would react. It tells me that I'm just a sheep in the herd. I don't have anything special about me. I'm just normal. That's why I feel jealous a lot, it's like I'm not special to them. I just wish I was though. I wish I was different and special. But that's impossible. Because I will never be special. It's impossible for me to be. People like Ameera and Gabby, they don't have to try and everyone treats them so special. I wish I had that, I'm more of a wallflower though I guess. I guess I should own that huh? :/ I know what clique I am in a highschool movie now haha. I'm just a wallflower.

I found a PDF of perks of being a wallflower and I am reading it right now. I hope it's one of those books that gets me right in the feels and I can proudly say that this helped me overcome my need of being special.

I realised it's maybe it's not "being special" it's my need to be better than others. I remember the first moment of this I felt as a kid. I met someone who was younger than me when I was around five and in my head I said "How dare you be younger than me." And I know that's totally irrational, I'm just relaying what I remember.

I also don't like it when I'm telling people about my problems and they are like "me too"

Aw man now I'm crying at 2 in the morning. Thinking about my dad on the way back home and how sad he said that he only had one friend in school. He also apologised a lot when I told him that the reason I would only talk to the therapist about my issues with GAE, was because when I talked about it to him, he said that it's just normal. My family has gone through a lot of emotional trauma. I just wish they were happy.

I would be so happy if I invited someone to the movies and then everytime we go to the movies I always pay but one day they pull me aside and say "I know that your family doesn't have a lot of money, so you don't have to pay for my ticket this time." Because whenever I was desperate for Gabby and I to go hang out, she always told me to pay. But this is just my weird fantasy sorry.

I want to stop being so god damn sensitive. I don't have an excuse to be so sensitive, it's not like I have depression or anything, so why am I like this?! I'm so useless and pathetic, Ema said so herself ( the pathetic part, not the useless part) she also said that I'm really judgemental which is true. I don't know why I'm upset by that, because she's just telling me the truth, I should just accept it.

Another memory that makes me pissed of at Ema is that I sent a picture on words to use in a essay instead of because and happy, like simple words Y'know? And she said that these were pretentious and made fun of them. It's not like she was attacking me, it's just that I thought it would be helpful and she reacted really negatively. I wonder if she had a bad day on that day.

On page 14, it says that two characters, Sam and Patrick, they were really nice to Michael and didn't throw in any inside jokes, so he could actually keep up. How nice that would be, like you would actually feel included in the conversation wouldn't you lol. I wish GAE did that.

I don't really feel comfortable with the idea of my parents hugging me. My dad hugged me today, but it just was like eh. Even thought that was the first hug I've gotten in a month. The last one before that was Gabby on the last day of school.

There's a very famous quote from the perks of being a wallflower, it's "we accept the love we think we deserve." So how much love do I think I deserve unconsciously. Well I accept the love from my dad, so I guess I think I deserved to be loved by my dad. I haven't been given love by anyone else recently. I'm thinking back to when I told both Gabby and Ameera the same thing about how I felt just to compare their separate reactions. I told them that what they said really helped me a lot, but that was really just a lie. Oh something that Gabby did differently to Ameera was, Ameera said that I should just tell them whenever I didn't feel included. I told that I would do that to Gabby and she said "You shouldn't need to not feel included." And that really moved me. I was actually happy to go to school that day. And since I spoke to them both, I could tell that they both put in extra effort to include me. That hour that it lasted felt nice.

I'm going to try and sleep again. I'm up to page 18. It's a sweet story but not very relatable.

Oh another thing the therapist said that bothers me now, she said that GAE's actions were quite bitchy, but I don't think that's correct. They're broken people, and saying that their actions were bitchy sounds like they're doing it for no reason. In the moment it was quite agreeable, because I was mad at them, but they have it worse than me.

I woke up at 11 today. That's really bad. I start school in like two days

What the hell, this morning I woke up and my double eyelid dissapeared. What, at least now my eyes are even, but they both look smaller.

My mom is so mean, she said my nose looks like a pigs nose. I guess she's right though.

I watched Leon: the protector. And I just felt so bad for Leon in the end. He was so close to reaching the end. He was so close to living a life him and his friend, Mathilda. That was a good movie, the cinematography was amazing, it really knew how to do symbolism, like the end of the hallway was really bright. That was a good movie. Mathilda's fashion was really good, I might need to take some notes from her.

I can make the last one.

I was just thinking about me and Mac in a romantic sense. Honestly I have really mixed feelings about it, on one side, it's like "I wouldn't mind." He's a nice and smart guy, we have a lot in common, he has good taste in music and anime. He's heading to a good place in life. But on the second hand, I'm really against it, he's too far away, and high school relationships don't last, less so a long distance one. I think the "I wouldn't mind side." Is my heart and the "No way." Side is my head because I catch myself thinking about "I wouldn't mind." And think that I shouldn't think like that. He might leave discord too.

I want to be a pretty so my partner's friends will be impressed that they landed someone that's really attractive, I just want them to be proud of me.

Sometimes I wish that like deep down, I didn't tell my therapist enough about everything and only focused on GAE and that's why she says I'm not depressed. But that's probably not how it is.

It's much harder to tell the truth on here, knowing that my therapist will probably read this.
