Hello, i just wanna ask what do you think of the manhua JC? dont get me wrong but there scenes that i haven't read in the novel that were shown in manhua even briefly. For example, that JC hugging his puppies. While it was outrightly said that he did have dogs that were sent out after WWX came to lotus cove, I don't really think he was that emotionally attached to them considering how fast he changed his mind. Those little panels of things that were probably implied makes a lot JC delulu stans make him more uwu. While i dont think that child JC is that bad, he is a child for one thet throw tantrums. Even teenage JC is redeemable probably since he was not that bad yet, but i just dont get how they justify him being secretly uwu kind etc whatever it is a positive trait because of his innocent? past self. isn't it ironic how WWX said that JC didn't change at all in the 13 years he was dead, implying he is still immature and the same as ever. I also dont get the part where somehow someone who has such personality is becoming likable to many people, changing his character to fit their description. A few others, i dont really remember but im sure ive seen some, who have evidence of their claim that are too weak to support and does not give the whole picture. As someone who likes JC's patheticness, this is so bizarre to me that i dont really want to involve myself in tiktok or twt. sorry for the long rant, have a great day!

To be honest, I don't particularly pay any attention to mdzs manhua aside from simping its WangXian moments, lol. Like, my only basis is the original, mdzs novel, whereas other adaptations are just entertainment. And for entertainment, obviously I will only focus on WangXian.

So far, among the other adaptations, mdzs manhua is the closest to canon. Even then, there are things that were changed due to various factors, such as to shorten the lengthy original content or to add more humor, which is common in comic, manga, or manhua.

I mean, things about softening the characters in the manhua was not only done toward JC as far as I know. We saw how Lan Qiren being pretty much drawn like a comedic relief. Even Su She moments in the Second Siege was also drawn in quite a funny way, that makes us the readers find it hard to really immerse ourselves in the severity of the incident, in fact.

Is that a good or bad thing? That depends. For entertainment, mdzs manhua is really good, both from content and arts. Just don't take them as canon material or meta material, since there has been changes due to various consideration. And when things change, it's not Original anymore🙃

The fact I have Twitter just to use the username to login on other websites, and the fact that I don't own TikTok at all, makes me unqualified to say things about mdzs fandom on Twitter or TikTok, lol. I'm sorry, Anon. Honestly, aside from Tumblr and Lofter, I don't really engage in mdzs fandom on other platform...?

But characters with pet attribute generally spark more interest with fans. Just like how WangXian and rabbits and Lil Apple are. Canonically, kid-JC is indeed fond of dogs (puppies or adult dogs I don't know).

Though, whether this fondness is a long lasting fondness is a question. Because after Wei Wuxian left YMJ he didn't try to own any dog. Some fans take it as JC being loyal to WWX, like, he was waiting for him to come back, etc. But, another fact is that, if he is still fond of dog but didn't want to own it due to WWX, then why wasn't he the one who give the dog to Jin Ling? Isn't he supposed to be the best Uncle for Jin Ling?

My headcanon is that, the adult JC likes dog, but not particularly fond of it like how other Dog lovers are. It's like how most people are enthusiastic when they saw stray cats, but that's it, most people won't dedicate themselves to adopt them, gave them foods, or help them. Most people just "like" But not fond enough to dedicate their life for pets. And so is Jiang Cheng toward Dogs.

So the numbers I like are 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 0. I do not like the numbers 5, 6, and 7. Idk why? I just feel that way. If I had to attach numbers to a username I would not use those. They can be "pacified" if it's one of those numbers in with a bunch of the good numbers. Like 16 (loom 16!) My favorite pokemon umbreon's national pokedex number is 197, so it is acceptable haha.

My dad freaked out on me once thinking I didn't like 7 because the number 7 has a lot of meaning in Christianity, it was actually pretty funny. But no, they are just icky. 67? No way. Stay away from me.

Also 666. Like I get it, it's dumb to be scared of. But man if the end times don't give me enough anxiety. My animal crossing design code ID had 666 in it and I messaged Nintendo support asking if it could be changed lol. The answer was no XD

I feel like I'm nothing but WIPs lately so let's see what we've got! This is from a little snippet of Miles traveling to Germany and getting himself a little companion.

Then, he stumbled his way to an animal shelter.

This was stupid. Utterly stupid.

The volunteer showed him around the facility–surprisingly clean, considering the nature of the business–and pointed out their residents while he fought the urge to cover his ears. Loud, yapping things and big, drooly mixes and old, trembling beasts that were standing on shaking legs. His heart twisted at the sight of those; he wasn’t sure that he could handle something like that at the moment.

Then, her. A collie mixed with something else (they weren’t quite sure), tapping back and forth on her feet, great pink tongue lolling out of her mouth as she kept jumping down into a bow in front of him. Her card said that she was about two years old (they weren’t quite sure) and that she was brought in because her previous owners could not handle her high energy. 

This was a horrible, terrible idea.

💕What is your favorite fic that you've written?

I hate to repeat myself about this one all the time, but I just adore The Essential Guide to Avian Development. Seeing all of my research and work and everything just come together in such a beautiful and cohesive way is something I'm really proud of! Plus, seeing how others interpreted Avian characteristics and the characters' development was just so euphoric to see! It was such a blast to plan and write, and I really want to write another long fic soon!

If I had to pick another, it would probably be The Things We Agree to Believe Are True, which is kind of my self-indulgent sappy marriage fic, or Change of Heart (which, honestly, I wish I could go back and make longer lol).

✨Out of the comments you've received on your fics, what are two or three of your favorites?

I'm going to be honest, I love ALL the comments I get! It makes me feel so nice when someone takes the time to write something out and share it with me; it's sort of like reading the story with someone!

Having said that... there have been a few that have made me feel extra-special, ehehe. One of the more recent ones was from Living_Death on "Double Date:"

I have come to the point at which I have noted your username at the top of really great reading experiences enough to where when I see it attached to a new fic, I get to feel excitement, and I am relieved to know that it's a fic from an author I trust. And that's honestly such a gift. I love your work, this included.

There are a few more that are a bit too long to post, but seeing ArthurtheGatekeeper basically live-react to reading "And I Will Stay With You Through Spring" was such a boost of confidence, and bat15's consistent and kind comments on every chapter of Avian Dev. when I was first posting was such a sweet feeling! It really helped me to continue writing.

📚Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?

Ohhhh boy. That's a long answer. I won't rec any mature/NSFW fics at the moment since I'm not sure if you're comfortable with that, but I do have a few favorites I'd love to share (though, to be honest, you've probably heard of them already).

As far as authors go, you are in good hands with anything by Ophelia_Writes, kbots, whackamacka, JustNerdyThings, ArthurtheGatekeeper... I could go on, but we'd be here all day lol.

For fics, I'll try to keep it brief (and maybe not exclusively the authors I recommended).

I do have to point out "A Brief for the Defense" by Ophelia_Writes, specifically, though, because it is just such a beautiful illustration of grief and loss, character depth and development, flaws (Ophelia is incredible with character flaws that are realistic and functional). This is honestly one of the best overviews of Ace Attorney and I kind of consider it canon lol. The representation of Maya and spirit channeling, specifically, alongside the VK sibs complicated feelings about Manfred, are what really drew me in.

Another great read (particularly if you're interested in some fun Mia & Bratworth bonding) would be "No Winners" by MostWeakHamlets. It's still ongoing, but so far it has been really intriguing, especially regarding how Miles reacts to his losses and how Mia almost "coaches" him, in this parallel of treating him like a little brother, that is really beautiful.

A great fantasy fic would be "Phoenix Wright and the Myth of the Amethyst Prince" by EdwirdoNomen and prince_pqul. (Yes, I KNOW it says "Major Character Death," but just ignore it, I promise everything is happy in the end.) It's honestly this really whimsical, mythical quest to rescue the "captured prince," so to speak, with the whole cast of characters well-suited for the fantasy environment. The lore of the dragons is incredibly well-thought-out, and the world itself just oozes whimsy. It's a fantastic story, and it's complete!

Aaaaand, just so I'm not here all evening, my last recommendation is "The Wedding Planner" by famousinthatanonymousway. It's long, fluffy, and complete, so it's really the perfect little read to curl up with. I'm a sucker for AUs, and a WEDDING PLANNER AU?? WITH A BAKER??? oh that really takes the cake (pun so graciously intended). Plus, Pess is there! And who wouldn't want more Pess?

Ok, this is a long story, so buckle up!

Originally, my username was going to be risiebisi, for the dish 'risi e bisi', because I was hungry and bored and making a tumblr account on a whim. That url was taken, so I went with a drastically shortened version, @risieb. But that url sucks, and I had decided that I liked this hellsite and was sticking around, so I changed my url.

I didn't want it to be too different, so I went with rosie-b, which can mean everything and nothing. 'Rosa' was my name in Spanish class, and I got attached to it enough that I partially identify with it, so Rosie, a more English-sounding variant, felt natural to use and was pretty close to first part of risieb.

Then, by keeping the "b," my new url became a very convoluted reference to the second most popular English verse of poetry about roses (so , rose verse b) -- "Rose is a Rose is a Rose is a Rose" -- which in turn, to me at least, is evocative of both Shakespeare's famous "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" and one possible meaning of the answer to "life, the universe, and everything" from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. That given answer is 42, with one interpretation of that number, coming from computer programming, being "Life is what you make of it." I like both of those messages, so it felt good to include them in my url (albeit indirectly).

My full pseudonym, coming from my url, is Rosie Boulanger, or "rosy (as in young/hopeful) baker," a reference to Adrien in the early parts of buggachat's BEAU comic. BEAU was what convinced me to make a tumblr account just so I could catch all the updates, so there's another reference in my url. I've got way too many of them packed into seven characters lol

On top of all that, roses are pretty common in the ml fandom; we've got both the character Rose (my current background picture!) and the various roses Adrien has offered Marinette over the seasons. It's a lot more subtle than many ml bloggers', but my url is the first hint that I'm mostly here for Miraculous Ladybug stuff!

music 1000% !!! idk how to explain it... there are so many layers to music. from production and just the sound of something, the lyrics (if there are any), dissecting an album from the cover art to track list order and what kind of album it is, the storytelling, how it builds community, can become the backdrop for life experiences... i wish i had something smarter to say. not a single day goes by without me listening to music attentively at least once. the best way i can describe only a small part of why i love music is through the fact that i keep all my playlists since i first used spotify around 2018 in different folders, arranged in chronological order, divided by 'arcs' of my life. it's the main way i tell time and remember i'm a real person who has lived and is still living a life!

i was listening to one of my favorite songs, posing for cars by japanese breakfast, and felt incredibly moved by the last lines "just a single slow desire... fermenting." fascinating how the lyrics end with that, but the song and powerful emotions it evokes are nowhere near finished. one of the most beautiful songs of all time, and one of the best concluding tracks to an album like EVER. i associate it with the last summer i'd ever have in my college life (by summer i mean a vacation before the new school year starts, not necessarily the season)

i used to be more outspoken and i'm not really like that anymore... i was also a lot more curious and adventurous when i was young. very open to trying new things. i was also an angsty reclusive teenager LMAO. nowadays im in the process of relearning and/or letting go of some of that! i think i've changed a lot. i'm a little bit less insecure and more familiar with my strengths and weaknesses. but a lot of things are the same too; i've loved music for forever, always been fond of water and swimming, things like that. a forever constant is my strong attachment to taylor swift's music lol (it's never going to die out)

While he's easily anxious when there's many people, Levi gets excited at streaming because aside from making content that he enjoys, he has the choice to stop if he feels like it

You were worried at first because you know how nervous he gets but he eventually warms up to it

You constantly remind him to take breaks after hours of streaming and also give him snacks and water

His followers don't see your face and Levi adjusts his webcam so you wouldn't be seen

Your privacy is important to him and he'll feel absolutely awful if ever that's broken because of him

Levi knows he's... hard to deal with

He's a big ball of socially anxious, self-deprecating, gross mess and he doesn't understand how you still became friends with him

But inside, he never wants to lose these moments with you

At some point, when Lucifer thinks that he should go back home, he'll have to leave you as your roommate

He hated going out and leaving his home behind but now that he met you, he's not sure if he ever wants to leave your side

Sometimes Levi would tear up at night imagining that moment, sure, he could ask Luci to stay but even then, would the chance he agrees be completely 100%?

Levi doesn't want to burden you with his problems so he just talks to Henry 2.0 and the rest of his pets about it even if they wouldn't respond

When his head got a little bit clearer, Levi decides to spend most of his time helping and being with you, which is why he might often be 'clingy' but the truth is, he wants to cherish the time he has before it's too late

Levi does most of the chores!

Considering that he studies online, doesn't go out, and his space is bigger than yours

It wouldn't hurt to handle the chores himself when you're probably so busy

It's not perfect but the apartment's definitely cleaner than you left it

I'm going in order of the games, but I actually played Explorers before Rescue Team! Gotta say, I absolutely loved the Friend Areas; they definitely made the world more engaging and expansive!

As for my team though, Arcas was actually an adaptation from a D&D character I made; a Dragonborn monk iirc. I don't quite remember where I got the name Lilo for a Cyndaquil from, though I recently retconned it to be a nickname of sorts. Names are fun!

In terms of playtime, Rescue Team is definitely the lowest for me. That being said, I've gotten more attached to these two little shits over the course of my doodles and shitposts than I ever thought I would.

Explorers

Explorers was my first ever Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, though not my first exposure to the series. Specifically, I managed to pick up Explorers of Sky some years back, and that copy holds as my oldest PMD game.

And the fact that it's "old" helps explain my team's names; unlike my other teams where my initial goal was turning them into characters, my Explorers roster was just named after me and my old best friend. I just put our old usernames, but I still find it ironic that my old name is still appropriate given the "silent protagonist" trope PMD games usually run. Due to personal reasons though, both are now characters!

Explorers holds the title for the time I've sunk into PMD games, and it isn't even close. Incredible story, postgame, music, characters, and more; there's a reason why Explorers is considered the best entry in the series. Over 70 hours I've put into the game, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon!

Gates to Infinity was my first exposure to PMD? Is this a shocker? I'm not actually sure, but yep, the first time I had set my eyes upon this series was Marriland's playthough of GTI. I loved his voices as a kid, and I'm very happy to have finally gotten to play the game I idolized as a kid.

I had originally planned for Brooke to be another "quiet type" protagonist, but I noticed that the hero in GTI talks a lot more than in previous installments, and is also a bit sassier? Really glad I got the opportunity to give someone a more lively, snarkier personality that I don't often give my characters. Axdrew was a name given by a friend, and I've recently considered "Drew" as a hypocorism, but I'm still debating on that one.

Gates to Infinity gets so much flak, and maybe I'm just biased due to my history with the game, but it does NOT deserve the amount of hate it does. (There seems to be a theme with Gen 5 getting bashed before getting beloved tho...) I've sung the praises for GTI in old posts, so I won't be going on another rant (this is already the longest section here), but even if everyone pulls up with pitchforks and torches, I'll still hold this game close to my heart.

Super Mystery Dungeon

So, uh, this is awkward? I haven't actually played through PSMD yet. ^^; Between school, life, art, and other stuff going apeshit recently, I haven't had the time to start a new game. I'm excited for when I do though, since it apparently links all of the previous installments together. (Although I am still particularly upset that nicknames for recruits aren't a thing anymore ;-;)

As I mentioned above, my first piece of Reader-Specific Writing will be posted next Monday. It is titled "Miscarriage", which will be its main topic. It will be of a female reader alongside their partner, Marcus Moreno.

I am beyond excited to start this journey with these pieces, I have never written anything like them. That being said, I do want to clear some things up about them.

I already have a piece titled "Sexual Assault", which to be completely honest is my own. This anonymously requested piece will be titled "Sexual Trauma". I do not care at all, whatsoever, if the topic you want to request has already been written, or something similar to it has been written. Every story is different, every story deserves to be heard. I will always write what you guys request when it comes to reader-specific writing. As long as I deem it appropriate and feel personally well enough to write it, it will be written. I know this is an abrupt way to come back (I'll go into it later) but it's been brought to my attention that there are some rp accounts that are probably minors out there with "18+" in their bio. Uhhh, let me get started.

Today were going to be looking at multiple different accounts. Stick with me till the end to find out!

So first off, it was brought to my attention that an account named @/katsumiiii was getting harassed- BTW katsumiiii is a minor, but I couldn't ignore the fact she was getting harassed, and like I said, if I catch people using abusive language or sending harassment I will post about them.

The point of this whole post is to basically let you guys know about these specific accounts, as they obviously use abusive language and are probably run by the same person- who is a minor.

I'll go into detail now.

So @/katsumiiii posted about an account called @/depressedvillainshototodoroki because she noticed that they were constantly changing their age from 18 to 16 to 17 or whatever, you can read more about it in their post here

And essentially this means a couple things.

either they are an adult rping with minors (cause they were called out for rping with minors and if you look at their page they do nsfw with 17 year olds and shit like that)

or, they are a minor and they run an ""18+"" blog which is wrong and you know why.

So, @/katsumiiii called them out on it and they got faced with shitloads of verbal harassment from accounts directly "related" to the shoto todoroki account, as you can see here.

which is already weird behavior, and warrants a block from me.

But I decided to do a little digging, and I found that most of these accounts kind of had the same grammatical style/ the same style of typing and I thought to myself- 'lol.. What if they were run by the same person?"

So I found an account called @/kingkatsukibakugo

and I looked at their blog. The first thing i see is them trying to nsfw rp with adults.

Idk something about that response is really weird to me.

So...that username @/kirotinaro, I looked them up, and I was met with a literal whole list of blogs probably run by the same person.

and funny enough @/depressedvillainshototodoroki is on that list.

But Reaper, how do you know they're run by the same person?

Well if you didn't already notice just by clicking their blogs, their bios are all formatted the same. I've attached a collage so you can see for yourself.

Now I'm not saying they ARE run by the same person, but the same type of erratic, super descriptive, poorly written bios are consistent for each account. It's just uncanny to me.

The main reason im sus of all these accounts is because if I know @/depressedvillainshototodoroki and @/kingkatsukibakugo are minors, then I'm pretty sure all of those accounts related to them are too.

Anyways, I hope this wasn't too confusing. Do what you will with this information, but as for me, I have already blocked and reported for harassment. Again, do not send hate to any of the accounts involved, just block and move on.

my tumblr use habits are in flux at the moment. but probably still too much, especially considering all i'm doing is going into the murderbot tag and also looking at my old posts and reblogs and thinking about how good my tags are.

14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? no. i mostly don't see the point in doing that in an online, semi-anonymous setting. maybe i would see the point if i had more followers (and thus felt like the time i would spend fruitlessly arguing with someone i don't know would be worth it because a critical mass of people would be exposed to my viewpoint) and/or people were directly sending me shit that i really felt the need to correct? but that's never happened. i argue with people i know in real life, because i know what they think and i might actually be able to convince them or learn something about their perspective that enriches our relationship and/or changes my mind. in this setting, i'm only seeing a fraction of what the person thinks and i'm making inferences about them and their viewpoint based on how they're presenting their argument and other cues that may be wildly incorrect, and they're doing the same for me. there's just a lot working against a successful argument on tumblr dot com. i've seen it done, but it's rare.
