And again Hans is the joke of the franchise.
ONCE UPON A STUDIO
FROZEN 2
FROZEN FEVER
BIG HERO 6
FROZEN
I'm starting to root for him to be in "Frozen 3" and be humiliated once again. And if it's another middle finger to those who hope he's a couple with Elsa, it'll be even better. I already loved her calling him an “unredeemable monster” to make Hans’ future in the franchise clear.
But it would be cool for Kristoff to punch the prince this time since that was denied.
Duke Weselton appearing with a relevant role in the film and Hans only appearing to take a punch from Kristoff and being forgotten forever while his family including his father are allies of Arendelle as shown in the park. Thus confirming that the problem is Hans and not his family as some like to use to justify the prince's actions. Perfect.

I would like to clarify my previous post about the relationship between Queen Anna and the Westergaard family. I was not referring to specific issues of politics, trade, etc. between the countries' diplomats (although why break diplomatic relations with Weselton but not with the Isles whose representative caused as much harm as the Duchy did? Or maybe even more since the Duke has done nothing to Anna)
But: Recent materials hint at good and improved relations between the families.
As we know, the Westergard family were not good people, neither the King-Father nor the brothers. Lee herself said that Hans is like that because he lived "without love." We know the comic where the brothers mocked Hans by giving him leftovers. We saw a part of their life in A Frozen Heart. They don't look like friends or acquaintances to people like Anna and Kristoff.
And I'm not even talking about Hans' himself here, but about why and why now(F3 hints?) to connect Anna with people like them? What could it mean?
Either that everything we knew about them was untrue and seen from Hans' point of view, and Hans was actually bad from childhood and his family with good intentions were just justly punishing him, trying to correct his corrupt nature(Then we can imagine a scene between Anna and the Westergaards discussing how hard it was for them with Hans and how they regret raising such a son); or it's the new common politics of peace and reconciliation with everyone that Anna has taken as Queen which we can see in the Forces of Nature.
But I do see some difference in the situation of the Weseltons and Anna. The Duchy and even the Duke himself have never been painted black in outside material. Wolfgang, the Duke's nephew, has been a good guy from the start.

Elsa's power level will be surely one of the interesting aspects of Frozen 3
Like, Elsa has now the literal power level of a demi-goddess, which also means that handling her abilities will be much more difficoult. But part of Elsa's charm is the relationship with her powers, and how this unique characteristic impacts on her life and her relationships, first of all with Anna. After all, as she sings in Show Yourself:
🎶 I have always been so different, normal rules did not apply 🎶
It would be interesting to see how the relationship between magic and people will be handled, considering how Frozen 2 carried on the concept of "People fear what they don't understand" from the Duke of Weselton to King Runeard himself.
After all Elsa role is to look after the Enchanted Forest and the Northuldra, not let what happened with her grandfather repeat itself now that the Forest is once again exposed to the outside world.
In my personal opinion, what it might be risky is giving her once again the "superhero vibe" she had in Frozen 2, considering that she's also sharing the responsability with Anna. But it's not something I'm fully worried about: after all, focus is not fighting some "explicit villain", it's more about the complexity of the situation and how Anna and Elsa will relate to it ...

The podcast and Frozen 3
There seems to be a lot of unsurety about the Frozen 3 given the machine Vs magic theme of the podcast. But as I keep telling some, the podcast is just setting up for Frozen 3, and won't likely have the same theme and I don't think they would explore the theme twice anyway. The characters from the podcast such as Queen Disa and Wolfgang, the Duke of Weselton's nephew may appear in the movie though. An article from Collider reveals that it's a standalone story. But the outcome of the podcast's story will be shown in Frozen 3 for example if the machinery is used in Arendelle and the forest after fixing them, we'll see Arendelle and the forest advanced or if some change is made to the forest for safety measures we'll see those defences in Frozen 3. But the outcome won't be effecting the Frozen 3 story otherwise it wouldn't be a standalone story then would it? It's not like you have to listen to this or you won't understand the story of Frozen 3. So I don't think Frozen 3's story will have anything to do with machinery. That's just what I think. But until the Podcast is out or really until any new information about Frozen 3 comes out, we know nothing about the movie, other than it has a new, different director.
For me, as I have said, the fact that there is another movie, makes me excited. More Frozen, the better. This October, when the podcast is available to listen, we will learn more about the current story and what might be possible for Frozen 3. So until then, we're only just theorising.
But plots asides and worries aside, the fact that Frozen is building up it's franchise with the podcast and a third movie should make us excited and grateful for what we're getting. I mean I'm sure they have looked at things we didn't like about Frozen 2 and will try to fix it or make up for that mistake and the things we do like and try to include those in future projects. Frozen is going to be a trilogy - That's big and exciting. Disney believes in the potential the franchise has hence all these new projects. So I don't care what anyone says, I'm excited for the podcast and the movie! New stories, new characters and hopefully better satisfactory endings.

How would you have made Helsa canon?
Okay there are 3 ways we can go about this.
Frozen. In the first Frozen, it's Elsa Hans meets, not Anna. It starts out with a dance, at first Elsa is hesitant, but Hans says please and Elsa could not refuse. Elsa finds a kindred spirit in Hans. Hans shares his mistreatment over the hands of his family and Elsa reveals that her parents made her conceal, don't feel. Hans says "maybe we're more alike than I thought, your majesty" Elsa tells Hans how she had to shut Anna out and Hans simply tells her "you were close, if you open up, I'm sure she would forgive you. Before Elsa goes to see Anna, Hans gives Elsa a winter rose. And Elsa smiles like she's never before. More of the events of the first movie happens. Elsa and Anna reunite, Elsa loses control and shuts Anna and Hans out and Let It Go. Anna and Kristoff's journey. When Hans comes to save Elsa at her castle. Hans tells Elsa she's not a monster, the powers she wields are beautiful, and for once in her life, Elsa doesn't view this power as a curse and the warmth from Hans begins to thaw out the ice. And more or less goes like this fan comic. It's the Duke Of Weselton who's the villain.(you know the obvious asshole who has a problem with Elsa having powers). Elsa and Anna's love for each other saves each other. Elsa and Hans get married and Elsa tosses the bouquet towards Anna and Kristoff and winks at her sister. Elsa finds someone who understands her and helps her embrace her powers and someone who helped bring her and Anna back together. Hans found something worth even more than a throne. Love and magic. True love. And Hans has what he always wanted. A family. A King with his Queen
Frozen 2. Remember the Frozen 2 teaser that shows Anna picking up a sword? In my opinion, that was supposed to be Hans. But let's say that is Hans. Hans intentions are to seek help from Elsa because of the crisis and mostly he just wants to escape to the Enchanted Forest to escape the torment of his family. Absolutely no one trusts him and Hans journey is not about escape, but redemption. Also I like chooarts and other Helsa fanartists depiction of Hans having a beard. But anyways, the fire spirit latches onto Hans.(more on that later) When Elsa leaves Anna behind, Hans goes to find her. When Hans finds her, she's frozen like in the movie. The fire spirt bonds with Hans and Hans uses his new found power to save Elsa. Elsa, Hans, Anna and Kristoff together save the Enchanted Forrest. And Elsa tells Hans she forgives him and they hold hands and embrace in a hug an teasing for something more. And Olaf makes a joke about the two lovebirds while Elsa and Hans turn redder than fire. Eventually Anna forgives Hans. He saved Elsa and helped save the Enchanted Forest and Arendelle and Hans wishes her the best with Kristoff, he is a better man for her than he could've been. And they part as friends. Where Elsa found the place she belongs, Hans found his belonging with Elsa, because the Fifth Spirit needs the Fire spirit to stay whole. Anna takes her place as Queen with Kristoff, while Elsa and Hans stay in the Enchanted Forest.
Frozen 3. Hans' father and 12 brothers intend to invade Arendelle. They see Arendelle as vulnerable without Elsa. So Hans goes to the Enchanted Forest to warn Elsa. And together Elsa and Hans would save Arendelle together. I also think it should be revealed that Hans has Fire Powers. In the process of working together, Elsa and Hans begin to fall for each other and Elsa finally learns to forgive Hans for what he's done. And with Elsa as a master of ice and Hans a master of fire, Fire & Ice together saves the day and unites two kingdoms.

Introduction
Hello everyone! We are currently at 492 followers (we're close to that 500!) and I wanted to take this time, as I do in many of my update posts, to thank every single one of you for sticking around, following, and engaging in my posts. It means a lot that you guys like my content and want to see more.
---
Promised Analyses Complete
First order of business, I have finally finished all of my promised analyses since my hiatus. You can find them all below, and you can be sure that more ridiculously delayed analyses are on the way haha!
Fatherly Burdens - Is Agnarr Portrayed Negatively
Polar Opposites - Comparing the Sister’s Personalities
Irredeemable Monster - Should Hans Make a Return
Stoic and Strong - Talking about Honeymaren and Her Importance
A New Path - Destin Mattias and Change
See the Sky - Talking About Ryder and His Importance
---
Frozen Canon Talk Fifth Edition
Next, as you can imagine, my infamous, Arendelle Archives-approved creation, Frozen Canon Talk, will be getting its Fifth Edition. However, I am simply waiting for the releases of these next two books (listed below) so that I can have all of 2023 covered. I believe (if Forces of Nature's advertising is anything to go by) that this year should be the last year of major side-story releases before F3 (or any shorts they could throw at us at some point), so it's a good time to freshen up the post for its fifth edition.
The post will now include the newest editions in the Frozen Franchise, as well as a new section called "The Novel Extended Universe" that includes all novels/comics/podcasts that reference one another and try to build coherent lore between them. This phenomenon started happening during the F2 Era of books, and typically have the same authors penning the projects.
Thus, again, I'm waiting for the release of these novels before I get started.
All is Found: A Frozen Anthology - November 7th, 2023
Lost Legends: The Fixer Upper - October 17th, 2023
---
Coming Soon
Here is the current list of analyses I am currently working on. They are in no particular order and will be released when they are ready.
Mirrors and Mimicry - Delving into Hans’ Sociopathy
Frozen Canon Talk - Fifth Edition
What Came Before - Previous Versions of Frozen (Rewrite)
What Came Before Part 2 - Previous Versions of Frozen 2
Grain of Salt - The Rumors Surrounding the Frozen Franchise (Rewrite)
---
Poll Question
As with the two previous updates, I am still planning my vague and secret F3 analysis and need your input. For your reference, these were the previous questions and the results. You can also see where I voted haha.
And now, let's ask the next question.

my thoughts (and prayers) on shadow & bone season 2:
(spoilers ahead, mostly about the crows, also i haven't watched the last 2 eps yet, i'll reblog with anything else when i do)
i LOVED wesper but holy fuck did they rush the fuck out of their relationship
i'm too lazy to retype it but i summed it up adequately here earlier:
the other tags i wanted to put here aren't in english so tldr: in the books, wylan and jesper's relationship is founded in their mutual respect for and admiration of each others' strengths, intelligence and genuine trust that they can do so much more than they allow themselves to. this type of relationship takes time to build, time which this show absolutely did not give them. that being said, again—i doubt the creators thought they would have the time to begin with (see tags above) and i don't really blame them for rushing it.
also... so many iconic scenes from soc AND ck lost 😭 i liked how they recreated some of them in the context of the show but some others i'll miss forever
on the plus side, we may not have gotten "just girls?" "no, not just girls" but we did get jesper recognising wylan only after he's on top on him,,, other stuff so i can't really complain lol. i enjoyed it!
wylan felt quite underdeveloped to me, plus he was reduced to his relationship with jesper, barely existed outside of it and didn't interact almost at all with anyone else. it HURTS me soul, last 2 eps better fix this.
i loved matthias making friends with his cell mate 😭
pekka rollins was a good villain in the books but they made him truly horrible in this one like jesus christ there was NO reason for him to be that bad. not complaining though! i like a good villain. i also want to see him crucified
KAZ BREKKER AND HIS LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL, INCREDIBLE BRAIN
no but i love how, once you learn enough about kaz, he's so... easy to read? as a character? every single plan of his so far this season i've been able to predict and it brings me such joy every time. this isn't me saying he was predictable, in fact i think they got his funky little brain very correctly and i loved that. they didn't get everything perfectly with him but i think his plans were super well-thought through and it reminded me how much i adore this asshole (affectionate)
where the hell was jesper's gambling addiction during this season.......... i was so happy with how they dealt with it during s1 and now 6 eps in it hasn't been mentioned in the slightest
his conflict with being a durast was also handled a bit badly, mainly because there was hardly any conflict at all 😭
overall sad with how jesper's character was dealt with, he's one of my favourites and i'm pretty frustrated lol
KANEJ<333333
i could write an essay on why i love and adore every single one of the crows basically
GENYA LOVE OF MY LIFE
i love her so much she didn't deserve all this crap i'm SO upset with her backstory with the king ew
how tf do people like alina and the darkling together lmao there's no romance there 😭
NIKOLAI IS EVERYTHING TO ME ACTUALLY i haven't read shadow and bone but i loved his character so much
think i've said this before but when he appeared in crooked kingdom i pictured him in my head as the duke of weselton (or however tf that's spelt) from frozen. make of that what you will.
TOLYA AND TAMAR'S INTRO WAS THE COOLEST FUCKING THING I'VE EVER WATCHED i rewatched it so many times 😭 absolutely incredible characters, i love them
i feel so bad but among everything else i really couldn't care about the whole darkling and alina plot... mal being the firebird, nikolai's crew, baghra's sacrifice, genya trying to redeem herself etc were all very interesting arcs and i cared very much about them but the main plot about alina and kirigan and the problems between them. i just. Do Not Care
tolya and jesper's "friendship" so to say was lovely
i'll genuinely clip tolya and tamar's intro and tattoo it on my forehead i'm listening to the soundtrack now and i'm losing my head it was so GOOD
kaz better mention van eck by the end of the season i NEED them to set this plot up for when (if) we get s3 or a soc spin-off
the fold was such a good world-building part last season but we barely saw it this time. i fucking miss the fold. what's life
the whole season felt very,,, transitional, maybe? so we better fucking get another one. netflix i'm watching you and you better fucking prove me wrong
where the fuck is fedyor 😭 and (because i care about fedyor's happiness) where the fuck is ivan
me: damn i hope vasily dies he's annoying as fuck
vasily: *dies a good 10 seconds later*
overall: generally happy with this season, upset with what they did to the crows, still hyped to finish the last 2 eps and share more thoughts (and prayers)
if you watch the series with the mindset that it's a completely separate thing (from six of crows/crooked kingdom) and just to have fun, you're guaranteed that much, in my opinion. it's fun and i can ignore the stuff i'm upset about because i can re-read soc anytime so yeah!

rayler. tell me all abt ur twst ocs NOW
OKAY OKAY SO I HAVE LIKE 2 SETS BUT I'LL MENTION MORE THE FIRST SET. The 2nd set is a WIP rewrite AU where I wanted to look at the world differently but I made a new cast so I didn't mess with the original cast since I like them so much.
But uh for the main set that's just random OCs I did a lot of digging and research on em. I have a few examples of this in what my IRL friends called "nutrition labels". The bios shown are directly based on the bios in TWST itself! Although the bios have since been edited a tad on some details and I'm always a bit hesitant to share bios anyway whoops
Not all of my OCs are very finished but the more finished ones (identified by who they're twisted from) are Zira (Blanc Sidney), The Spinning Wheel (Thorley Stringer), Duke of Weselton (Francis Reyner), The Enchantress (Rhodes Blanchflower), and my MC OC (Alyx Aaron)!! There's several with no details aside from a planned twisted from character too.
Of all my already-made TWST characters, Thorley is the only one making it to the rewrite/remake/AU (what do I call it) version being based a main part in the original movie for the dorm.
Notably, because I couldn't really think of anything as a random inspiration, I happen to have no random Scarabia OCs. Also, none of these guys have a plot or story since they're just made to exist in the world. And the only one that really is made to interact with any canon characters is Blanc who, being based on Zira, has a crush on Leona. Blanc L though I can't ever see it being reciprocated so bro's bitchless.
That's all I have to share I think but the most important thing to leave with I think is that I put too much thought into the details of each TWST OC. Best example is that one birthday is the day a book about the twisted character released and the month the original book the movie was based on got published.
#☆ Rayla's OCs ☆#KMS I ACCIDENTALLY DELETE A TON OF WHAT I FUCKING SAID AAAAAAAA#Okay I'm no longer mad hehee#I might talk about the rewrite/remake/AU version in another post soon but they're not hardly as well worked on as this set

(royal ball) !! // at a high society event mayhaps uwu
royal, fantasy romance and spice / still accepting / @dawnbrst
Dancing has never been her forte, though she has always admired the beauty of dancing. Growing up as an only child in such a big castle has always felt very lonely, but being in the presence of her loving parents often chased away the loneliness. They were always nearby when she needed them, though her mother often disappeared once a day to go...somewhere else. When they were both in the castle, they often invited her to join them for a break from her daily lessons.
She always liked to watch her parents glide across the ballroom floor, mesmerized by how graceful they moved. They were truly made for each other, weren't they?
Elsa remembers fondly observing her mother, trying to learn her mother's grace as quickly as she could. Dancing with her dancing tutor, however, felt too stiff and awkward for the growing princess because she hardly knew the tutor. She heavily disliked getting so close to him, but she forced herself to keep up with their lessons. She secretly admired how her mother could hold a whole conversation while still remembering the steps of the dance, something she struggled to do. Her father, noticing her struggles, took the time out of his moments of freedom to be her dance partner. It was easier to dance with her father when no one was watching, but... He wasn't here.
"I'm surprised you wished to dance with me. You don't look like the type to dance, good sir..." Elsa admits with somewhat hesitant honesty as she allowing him to pull her closer to his form. He asked to bring her onto the dance floor, ruining her enjoyable moment of silent observation from the sidelines. Her dance card, she noticed, is far too empty for her to openly reject his request. The Duke of Weselton was already eyeing her up until this dashing red-haired stranger approached her. The older man was no doubt building up the courage to approach Arendelle'e one and only princess, though Elsa is willing to bet he was also preparing to pry into her business.
"Are you enjoying your time in Arendelle?" Elsa squeezed in the question before he spun her, demonstrating his mastery in leading the dance. Embroidered skirts spill out all around her, but dizziness does not claim her. Elsa is relieved to see that she is doing much more better, though she still wished for this song to hurry up. She feels silly, but she hasn't stepped on any toes. Her dancing with her father really did help to improve her dancing skills, but she still struggled to feel comfortable in the ballroom. If she must dance tonight, then she would gladly pick a stranger to partner up with than someone as two-faced as that old noble.

*The pale child Edgar heard about seems to know about him and a loud cackle is heard.*
'Well well well the duke? I'm honored.'
*the clicks are audible and echo*
'I see I must be important! What brings you by?'
Edgar found himself disturbed by the mysterious child's cackle and clicks coming from his body but didn't show his unease. "I come here on behalf of the citizens of Weselton whose lives have been disturbed by your presence. May you inform me that you're just another traveler to my country?" he proceeded to ask.

New artwork of Queen Disa and the automatons from the "Frozen Podcast", and I'm still surprised they really aren't paying any attention to the Duke of Weselton's nephew. I haven't actually found any official art of Lord Wofgang yet.

@wintersovereign asked: from (x)
He rushed to her side, cradling her between his arms, "It's okay, it's Ok, I got you" he said worriedly. Terrified. Their story was complicated, he had hurt her and her sister but he'd come to her aid any day and this was no different. Hans spoke softly trying to get ahold of the situation before Elsa's powers went haywire, but they did almost immediately after, ice spreading from under her feet, snow falling overhead and the wind beginning to sound angry. Compared to Arendelle this was very controlled, but her fear, pain, and upset were more than justified.
She'd been on a visit in Weselton and the son of one of the Duke's henchmen had set to finish what his father started, the crossbow's arrow stuck out her shoulder, and blood dripped out all the way to the floor. "Leave it there," he tells her, knowing full well it's plugging up the wound. Only after removing it, they could know how dire the situation really was. Hopefully, it was manageable. Hans worried as it was close to many major vessels, this had the potential to be disastrous.
"Guards! Medic! Lars!" he yells as he holds her, protectively, using his hands to stabilize the arrow and ready to use his body as a shield if need be.
Glad he had been in a similar situation before, most people's first instinct is to remove the arrow, or the more educated to control the bleeding but sometimes that does more harm as pushing around the arrow or the arrow itself can further cut, the most important movement now given how much she's bleeding is to make sure the arrow doesn't move. And that neither gets shot again.
The teenager shook with impression, fear, and rage. "Vidar, put the crossbow down before anyone else gets hurt," Hans asks trying to calm the boy down, both arms around Elsa.
"She almost killed my father! It's her fault he's in jail!" he yells in pain, now begging to cry.
"I get it," Hans yells back "But this is not how to resolve things, please, put the crossbow down." at least he wasn't trying to reload it.
Through this all he never let her go, the guards finally stormed in, held the child, and took away the crossbow, and as soon as the medic came by Hans took Elsa in his arms to put her in the stretcher "I'm not going anywhere until you're ok." he tells her, he, seems to be the only one unafraid of her powers acting up.

Some notes on Forces of Nature
At the beginning of each chapter, Anna rejoices at the new adventure, Elsa moans "oh no", Krstoff urges them to stay together.
Queen Disa helped to fix a broken mill. She boasts about science and how she uses it everywhere. Anna loves science. Disa loves reading and is very well-educated. She lost her parents several years ago.
Anna doesn't completely trust Wolfgang. He is like the young kind version of the Duke. People are not exited about him because of the past of his family and his weird behavior. He invents some copper steam boilers(If I understood correctly, I'm not a native spkr) and other mechanical stuff. They constantly break down or catch fire, but Wolfgang is striving to sign a contract with Anna about copper mining and persuade her to purchase some of his things. "Copper sourced from Southern Isles prepared in Weselton and is here in Arendelle for your pleasure." He constantly speaks about copper and promotes the inventions. Also he complemented Disa and her knowledge of science, they are close in this.
They didn't say about the causes of the flood that perished the kingdom of Disa, maybe it's a geographical location of the kingdom (Arendelle had helped them once to rebuild anew after "the land slide") or maybe the consequences of the fact that the water from Arendelle(when Elsa saved the city) went that way. Anna only said "but magic affected all of us and the people of [the kingdom of Disa with the unutterable naming].
Olaf said that Kristoff needed time to thaw out to him, but now they are best friends. Olaf is cute here, he tries to befriend Disa though she feels somewhat uncomfortable about his magical nature, he tells some funny stories and jokes, as always.
Disa knows Elsa as the Snow Queen. Seeing her powers in action, Disa said Anna "your sister is amazing."
"Elsa doesn't like show-offs" Anna said.
Disa said she would like to be prepared for "the future random acts of Nature" and would like to know more about magic. That is, in their world, magic and Nature are closely related in meaning, almost synonymous.
Anna easily let Disa into the secret room of Iduna and Agnarr (then, because of Wolfgang's faulty inventions, it almost burned down. He apologised). Elsa doesn't like it. They argue that Anna is too open, that the castle is full of strangers, that she is not allowed to reveal all secrets to strangers because not everyone embraces and appreciates magic like the royal family.
"A few boundaries won't hurt."
"But actually, boundaries were a problem in the past. I like helping people. I'm just doing what you told me to do, being queen!"
"Ugh, you're right."
"You trusted me to step up as a queen, I trust you to be an [ambassador/representative]of magic. Wait, what? You said I'm right?"
"I did. I'm just used to being alone in this. But you're right, and that's why you're the queen. You're smart and kind and knowing what you're doing."
