Beautiful Little Fools

You being a friend of Kai's, and being in several of his streams as an internet personality yourself. Of course, you meet several of his friends, including Ray. He's just using his cheesy "rizz" with Kai's encouragement, and you're laughing on to all his funny tactics.

When the Beta Squad and AMP decide to have the match, there's almost immediately an invitation for you to join in as a host, that you accept gratefully!

The days leading up to the event, you spend a lot of time hanging out with the American group, as well as meeting new people that you become fast friends with.

Ray, however, stays close to either you or Kai at most points, finding himself most comfortable with people he knows pretty well already. Everyone (thought mostly Kai) loves the relationship you two have, and joke around about it a LOT.

You, of course, enjoy his company and help him with training that they have set up for those participating the day before the real match. It's mostly just simple things, though, like returning the balls to him or mock-guarding him.

At some point during the practice, he gets slightly injured, tripping over a ball or something like that. It really isn't that bad, but you find it concerning, especially considering the big match is the following day.

He, however, reassures you, comforting you by patting your head and giving you a brief hug. He doesn't like you being worried about it, so he tried to make sure you understand he's okay.

The next day is obviously intense, and you spend a lot of time making sure Ray is safe, keeping an eye on him throughout the game. You interview him at halftime momentarily, joking around together before he has to go. You also remind him to be safe out there, yelling after him.

He clearly doesn't follow this advice too closely, however, and ends up getting tackled by some larger player (probs Niko lets be so fr) You, of course, feel incredibly scared, watching him from the sidelines all while trying to keep composure as a host.

As he gets guided to the bench to rest, you move yourself over there to talk to him, frantically making sure he's ok. You end up in his arms, him holding you tightly.

After that interaction and him assuring you plenty that he's alright, you go back to doing your job as a host, interviewing other players and such.

Post game, he comes back to see you, striding over to you with intent. It startles you for a moment, when you suddenly see him standing so close to you. He give a short hug followed by a even shorter, nervous kiss.

After a moment of staring at each other, he takes off his jersey, handing it to you with a smile. He doesn't even say anything, just holds it out for you to take.

You end up wearing that jersey on your flight back and on many occasions afterwards. <3

Updates!

Hi all!!!

Sorry for the absence. I just got done with 10 weeks of counseling a summer camp and it was...sure something this year. Anyways, I'm back to a normal (less physically exhausting) schedule now so I want to refocus on this!

I adore Plagueclan and they are my silly little kitties I think about when I have nothing to do. I also recently gifted myself a new tablet, this time a screen display one! That being said, I've been drawing a lot, and I KNOW I just changed the style of the comic and all butttttt I found a much more comfortable way to draw it, and I think the style will change once more. My bad.

Story wise, we are going to change to a more comic-like format! Similar to the intro comic! Instead of a diary-esque story direction I'm going for full scenes with talking and the like. I'm hoping this will make the story more eventful and dramatic, as it should be. So, starting from the top, I've already got a prologue chapter in the works and scripted out so we will be restarting. The story won't change overall, but we may hit some different beats on the way to set up for future events.

Finally, schedule! I will go back to once a week on Sundays starting next week. This will be page one of chapter one, so it will not be the next moon based on what we have! Just so we're all on the same page :)

Finally, finally I also have a headworld that I'm working on about a Skyclan AU called Return of the Clans, a story where the journeying cats from the New Prophecy never return and the forest clans disband, and many seasons later Skyclan must be the ones to bring them back. The old switcharoo. This is not a comic or even fanfiction yet but more a collection of ideas and clips. However, I do have the allegiances written out and some character designs so I'm thinking I'll make a blog for it as it develops. I'll promote that blog in the case it is made, but for now here's some pretty kitties from Skyclan for you to look at until next Sunday. My ideal season 2 scenario is that Jayce is the only one out of the hextech triad to actually become gravely injured (narratively satisfying the pattern of him being punished for doing the right thing), and Mel and Viktor have to come together to find a way to take care of him/explore their magic artifacts/butt heads politically

Oh man anon I am so excited to see this trio's dynamic in season 2! I love the idea of Mel and Viktor exploring their magic and butting heads. There's a lot of great analysis out there on Jayce and Viktor's character and design similarities, and on Mel and Jayce's similarities, but hey, Mel and Viktor were designed by the same (EXTREMELY talented) man and I'm pretty sure he designed them to be opposites in every way, accommodating the magical forces behind their powers. But being explicit opposites also implies similarities. And I think they are written to appear diametrically opposed, but will end up being much more similar than they are different once the Piltover-Zaun war actually starts.

Without their opposite-but-similar magic, I think we could leave Mel and Viktor's dynamic where it is in season 1 (nonexistent and only acting as a reflection of Jayce choosing between opposing priorities). BUTTTTTT, magic is still a volatile subject in Piltover politics. Piltover tamed Hextech to fit into its image of industrialization, but Mel and Viktor both represent magic that is not like Hextech at all! Viktor's magic is everything Heimerdinger and Piltover have ever feared, and I don't see Piltover reacting with full fellowship to Mel's magic either. Because again, it's not Hextech! It's outside the boundaries of what Piltover knows and is comfortable with! And I think Jayce will be forced to choose between Piltover and Viktor, and likely, he will have to choose between Piltover and Mel too, at least until Mel takes steps to secure her position, which I bet she'll do.

Imagine it, anon! Mel clearly choosing peace over her mother and her birth. Mel revealing her magical secret to, I assume, save not only herself but others in the council room with her. These choices are Mel completely reversing the trajectory she was on for YEARS in order to be who she wants to be, which for her is a moral but still powerful figure, who is opposed to what Ambessa and by extension Noxus represent. And imagine that in season 2, it's Mel who's punished by Piltover, the city she loves, for doing the right thing! Because Piltover as a system has not wanted the "right thing" probably ever - it wants security, power, and profit. And Mel proves by the end of season 1 that those are not her true priorities.

This works well with the unspoken similarity between Mel and Viktor in that they are both technically immigrants to Piltover, outsiders who had to be smart and creative to find a place for themselves in Piltover's system. If Piltover turns on them both, I think this would unite them eventually.

Jayce believes he is doing the right thing, and I think that he's written amazingly well for a lot of reasons. One of those many reasons being that Mel has built him up into this personification of her own idealism. Someone who wants progress for progress' sake and not for profit's sake, who will sacrifice political alliances for peace, and who wants to grace everyday people with power and magic. Where I think the show's true genius lies is that these ideals don't represent who Jayce truly is after the season 1 timeskip. He thinks this is who he is because he is easily influenced, easily convinced, and easily led. Except that while Mel showed a clear break in her characterization at the end of season 1 to redirect herself and be a different person, Jayce so far has simply kept doing the same things he's always done, which is believe he's doing the right thing, make a grand gesture that appears to be the right thing until it turns out it was NOT the right move at all, and then become disillusioned and more frustrated ("They have Shimmer / We have Hextech." - "They're dangerous!" - "Do you not understand? I am a part of this now!").

The first 3 episodes of season 1 were an exception because Viktor showed up in Jayce's life as a total dark horse and reversed Jayce's fortunes, and then Mel was there also totally unexpectedly to save both of their asses from exile. Without Viktor and Mel on his side, Jayce's choices would've turned out badly for him!

The only thing we haven't seen after that final vote in the council chamber is the step where Jayce becomes frustrated and disillusioned. Anon, imagine Jayce, who's just burned all his bridges in Piltover to make the biggest and grandest gesture he could've possibly made, which is to circumvent Piltover's government entirely to make essentially a back-alley deal with a mob boss to create a new nation that would compete with Piltover for resources. With his barely surface level knowledge of economics, politics, and Zaun in general, of course he has every reason to believe he is saving the world with this gesture, he is saving Zaun's civilians as people living in what he believes is a disorganized, undefended place, and he hinged it all on a deal with Silco, whom he neither knows nor took the time to understand, and so of course he has no idea that demanding Jinx in handcuffs was as good as throwing his plan in the trash.

Imagine a Jayce who has done all this work, taken all these risks, and feels on top of the world both for believing he's achieved peace and for spitting in the faces of the council he reviles (except for Mel of course) - only to be nearly killed by the people he thinks he made all these sacrifices for, mere hours after his deal with Silco. The Jayce we know up to this point is not going to react well to thinking that Silco betrayed him, and with Jayce's sweeping generalizations about undercity people, my bet is that in his mind, Silco = undercity = Zaun, and it will be his biggest moment of frustration and disillusionment yet, such that he'll want to go to war.

I always like to remember that Jayce's character flaws don't come from him trying to do the right thing, even clumsily. They come from how he reacts to his plans and his surroundings going pear-shaped.

And goodness gracious, anon, imagine how much worse it'll be if Jayce IS injured in this attack! Jayce takes things personally, and this would make a war that's not really about him feel even more personal!

Contrast this with Mel, who has a line in the sand that she won't cross. She'll find another, less violent way to approach the conflict. And with Viktor's scene where he defuses Jinx's bomb, he'll want something similar. Another thing that will unite Mel and Viktor, in my dearest hopes and dreams lol.

My hope is that the drama for this trio in season 2 will come from Mel and Viktor wanting something very different from what Jayce wants out of the conflict with Zaun. I think that in most other situations, Jayce would still have Mel and Viktor on his side, but in such a huge and violent conflict like this one, I don't think he'll have them on his side. Which isn't gonna go well for him. What I am VERY interested to see is if he ends up allying with someone like Ambessa, and then has to come to his OWN conclusions for once about what he is being guided to do! I don't think he has to be a perfectly "lawful good" protagonist to be a great character, and I don't think that's how he's gonna end up, but I also don't think he'll end the season being a warmonger either. He'll change, and I hope that he either has to forge his own path all on his own, or Mel building him up to personify her ideals comes full circle and he decides to change to be more like who Mel truly is.

As for Viktor and Mel, I won't say too much because of very likely enormous spoilers. But while I think they will work together because of their similarities, Viktor being [REDACTED] and his foreshadowed bitter rivalry with [REDACTED] will force them apart ideologically in the end. My greatest wish though is that even though Mel and Viktor will clash, they will STILL need to work together to achieve their own ends which to me is the most delicious possible situation for season 2.

OKAY. So Umineko episode 3 thoughts. I finished it, but I did NOT start the tea party, and I will do that tomorrow. My opinions on this may change, possibly DRASTICALLY, with the tea party, so this is my sleepy preliminary thoughts

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: THE TWIST

Beatrice doing it all to trick Battler is weird, right? Right. Okay. I don't believe it was all an act. At least PARTS of it were real. Maybe not her pathetic failgirl demeanor, as much as I loved it, but some of the underlying emotions... especially in the way she hesitated before saying it was all to trick him. At the same time, I do believe her that it WAS ultimately to trick him. I have no doubt that she's cruel, and she's tormenting Battler, and this is all to force him to do things her way... At the same, it's hard to say for sure. How much of Beatrice's actions and feelings were real? Can we trust what we were shown? The moments where she was contemplating alone, or even her fight against Eva/Virgilia/etc... Hm. Weird.

It almost makes episode 3 feel hollow? NOT in a bad way. It's very much like "ahhhh she fucking GOT me huh. She truly is an amazing villain." but at the same time I had ADORED her character development. Maybe me trying to twist it to make her have felt some of it genuinely is me attempting to keep that, in order to get rid of that hollowness, even though the POINT is that it's hollow. At the same time, I'm almost surprised I got tricked, because I kept thinking "this is only episode 3. I know this goes on for 5 more episodes. How are we going to go back. Isn't this too fast?" so basically I did know it was in some way "fake" even if only subconsciously. And I love Beato being cruel so I'm not mad about that... but it's. weird. god idk how to feel about it. I feel positively for sure, but. dude. You can't just say "everything you saw was a lie" and expect people like me to not go "wtf you can't tell lies like that" even though it's fiction and they absolutely can. Without a specific unreliable narrator to point to (since Umineko swaps POVs and ultimately some scenes end up coming off as omniscient even as they establish a lack of "truth" to any scene being shown) it just leaves me wondering what to think of it, and trying to wrap my head around Beatrice's truth and lies. It's fun! I enjoy that!!! But also I'd have appreciated more hints... I guess. Maybe the tea party will help. Or maybe I'm just being overdramatic about being tricked with Battler. She really did get me.

As for Ange, I was NOT expecting her. Obviously. Who would? But I guess it's time for her to join the game...!!! So excited!!! I do wonder why she's roughly a decade older than she is in 1986, so... time travel? That's crazy. I'm all here for it.

ANYWAYS. Episode 3 was by far my favorite. I loved seeing more of Eva, and she's a fascinating character. Beato's act pulled on my heartstrings in all the right ways to make me fall in love with her. She truly is the woman ever. And Battler's rejection of her was so interesting, and everything that forced him to believe in Beatrice, even if only for a short while... All the twists were fun, I was kept on the edge of my seat, it was truly amazing in a beautifully brutal way.

If I have any complaint other than the ending knocking me notably off-center, it's... Virgilia. I ultimately accepted her, and ofc I love Beato's teacher as a concept, and the Beatrice name passing on, butttttt I have so many questions about where she came from. As Kumasawa? Kumasawa is ALSO a witch connected to this, but has none of the same mannerisms as Virgilia? It just felt so. over the top to me, for lack of a better phrase. It's such a minor complaint though, and a matter of taste. But also, was she just as cruel as Beato? I genuinely don't know. Wild.

Definitely an episode to chew on.

Hi!!!! It's 1:30 am where I'm at and I'm having ✨THOUGHTS✨

Have you read the manga of Magi: Sinbad no Bouken? Because there's this scene in the manga when they were going against this Djinn - who made Jafar and Masrur fight each other to prove their loyalty or whatever. Masrur was mind-controlled and Jafar had to be quick in thinking. The battle only ends if one of them dies. He smiled at Sinbad, telling him to take care of things before committing suicide right in front of everyone by stabbing himself. But, Jafar is a talented assassin. He didn't actually die, but faked his death using some bullshit assassin technique involving weakened heartbeat and less blood flow or smth.

So, it made me think of some kind of fucked up scenario where Bruce has to watch one of his sons die. Personally, I want it to be Tim. Him and Cass faked his death together as a bonding moment once. (Okay, it wasn't a bonding moment, but these two children are terrible, and I'm sure Cass "doesn't-want-to-kill" Cain had fun fake-stabbing her little brother)

BUTTTTTT I was thinking of a Damian that became a liiiiiittle bit more vocal of how much he cherished his family, and of how proud he was of them. He's facing against Jason, who is mind controlled for some reason. And the fucker who trapped them in this pocket dimension will only let them go once one of them had been slain.

Damian, who learned to be a child again, learned to allow himself to feel safe with people who embodies the true meaning of family, learned to care, learned to laugh, learned to love, turns towards his family who is desperately trying to come up with a plan to save both him and Jason.

He starts remembering many good memories - quiet nights on rooftops laughing over dumb jokes, watching anime together on saturday mornings together, hugging his siblings after bad fights and snuggling together in Richard's bed...

Damian turns to Bruce and locks eyes with him.

Then he smiles like Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

And stabs himself. Blood seeps out of his uniform drop by drop before he falls hard to the ground.

Someone screams.

The villain laughs.

The pocket dimension closes.

The Batfam is surrounding Damian, Cass being the only one calm enough to check his vitals. Because although Damian had gotten better over the years in hiding his intentions, Damian didn't hide intentions at all. Cass knows that Damian doesn't intend to die.

But she cannot feel anything. No heartbeat. No breath. Nothing.

Jason is leaning against Tim, eyes wide in horror.

Dick is crying loudly, denial on his lips as he tries to get Damian to wake up.

Bruce is...

He takes Damian away from Cass's hands. He cradles his youngest, carding his fingers through his son's hair. His son would usually scrunch his nose when Bruce does this, swatting his hand away while half-glaring.

It was at that moment the villain reappears, and Bruce gently hands Damian back to Cass.

Insert a brutal battle here. But the villain is able dodge, deflect, and counter-attack everything.

That is, until Cass joins in.

But she wasn't going to fight.

No. She was a distraction.

With a great blow to the man's head, the villain falls, revealing who defeated him.

Standing there with a smirk was Damian, still bleeding but.

Alive.

Damian was alive.

No one could believe it.

"Tt," said the Demon Brat. "Believe it."

Tim snorts.

It was the cue for everyone to dogpile their Baby Bat.

Awwwwwwwww I think they all kinda need that hug too, not just Damian. I see the brainrot was strong with you, may it continue on forever!! But... hopefully not 24/7 like it has been for me. I have not read Magi: Sinbad no Bouken, but now I am both Concerned and Intrigued. This was such an interesting idea, and very heart-warming, by the end of it, and thank you so much for sharing!! 🥰💕

I am a huge fan of PJO/HoO tbh and I wonder if you ever wanted to write a cross over fic about it in connection to ST?

I wonder what your HC's arc regarding the characters' godly parents specifically The Party's? (El, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin and Max)?

El is a little bit tricky for me because her whole catch is her telekinesis powers, so maybe she'd be a Hecate's kid? It is tricky because PJO/HoO barely used the telekinesis idea in the books, so I am not sure... Maybe you can make her a Zeus' kid because of her strenght, and main character status. Or just make her a Poseidon kid because El sort of has a connection to water. I mean, she doesnt use or control water ofc but her telekinesis powers are being powered when she uses water to calm herself... idk, lol.

Mike and Dustin would be both Athena's kids imho. It also fits because I think Nancy would be an Athena kid too (and Mike being an Athena kid makes sense ig). I also can see Nancy being Bellona's kid because I sort of see similarities between Nancy and Reyna. Nancy is smart but also a fighter, she sort of shares many similarities to both Annabeth and Reyna imho. Dustin is also hella smart and brainy, he figured out many stuff on the show and is analytic, leans more on ''brainy type'' character. I can see him being Athena's kid.

I can see Lucas being Apollo or Ares' kid in a way, because of his strenght and because he is good at aiming things (if I remember correctly, he does this in S3 mainly, right?) Lucas is also more active like Max compared to other party members, so I think it makes sense for him to have a more active parent.

Will would either be Hades' kid or Apollo's kid but I lean more on him being a Hades kid due to his weird connections to the UD and stuff like that. Will also sort of reminds me of Nico (them both being obssessed with a game, having to grow up much quicker compared to others, being left out and things like that and well... being gay. Their personalities are different ofc but they share many similarities). But I can see him being Apollo's kid if we don't count his supernatural connections, because Will is artistic (Apollo kid trait) and is associated with light many times too aside from dark stuff, and has some sort of a special connection to the music.

For Max, I really am not sure but maybe Hermes or Apollo? Both are active gods (they are associated with athletes, sports and stuff like that too) You can say Max's love for skating comes from that. All in all, Max and El are the most tricky ones for me ig.

Two men regain consciousness while chained to pipes at either end of a filthy bathroom. As the two men realize they've been trapped by a sadistic serial killer nicknamed "Jigsaw," they realize they must complete his perverse puzzle to live.

JayBell: We finally cross the first of another famous horror movie franchise off our list. I'm happy that this one is less of a slasher and more of a psychological horror movie with slasher-esque elements. It's way more interesting to watch two potential victims be pit against each other in sadistic mind games than watch a group of idiots stumble around and get killed. It is much gorier than I anticipated, which I neither really dislike nor like, but it does effectively up the stakes for the victims in the story.

I like the setup of this movie. Just put two very different victims together, seemingly strangers, and force them into this terrible scenario. I actually appreciate how the two men didn't immediately try to kill the other person to save themselves. I think the movie does a great job balancing moments in which they work together and moments in which they can be a little more selfish.

The big twists of the movie are okay. Like we predicted the most obvious one almost immediately because truly there isn't that many characters in the movie. So by process of elimination you already know who the bad guys are. But the final final reveal I didn't quite predict, even though it seems obvious in retrospect too. Also, that's a very risky plan for Jigsaw. What if he had to sneeze? That would be so embarrassing for him.

I know the one surviving cop with the dead partner is experiencing some kind of mental breakdown, but does he seriously try to go after Jigsaw on his own, no calling the police, no backup, no nothing? He even interrupts a home invasion without calling the police. Yeah, that seems smart. Maybe he parted on bad terms and holds a grudge? Let's go with that.

In the end, I'm not sure we're gonna continue with the series, but never say never. There are plenty of Halloweens in the future.

Anzie: I have to be honest as awful as this movie is and as much as I have no desire to ever see it again or anymore sequels due to the gore and sounds these movies have, I appreciate the actual existence of a plot. I went into this thinking that it was just a weird puppet that keeps people in a torture maze until he murders them. I knew the second Michael Emerson popped up he was involved though, he gives that vibe plus being the same time his two shows were popular it makes sense. Butttttt I always thought that he was working with the killer not bc the killer was forcing him too with the threat of death. And for the actual guyyy to lay entirely stillllllllll in the room with the other two guys???? And not react!?!?! I do like how the guy says the dead guy’s blood (his blood? Which isn’t possible?? But whatever!) has enough poison that it would make you wanna die- and meaning the treatment he received for cancer, not poison as part of the game- so it’s alluded to being him from the start but you don’t see it until looking back. Can we discuss two other things tooo. If your child says a man’s in her room. Take her seriously. Pls. The reaction to that in this movie is just insane. And what’s with the pig mask?? Never ever explained but what the whattt. Absolutely terrifying. Anyway. I feel bad about the end bc the guy’s like oh you had the key all along. But he was in a tuuuubbbb and it went down the drainnnnn. That was so awful. After everything. And why didn’t it pick up with the dr guy finding the cops or anything?? Tooo I got really big Seven vibes- but that was better?? I guess bc it was from the detectives perspective? IDK.

So, I currently write mainly for the Guy Ritchie universe? But I focus on 'The Gentlemen' but that doesn't mean some characters from any of his other works don't creep in.

I write also for 'Control', it's my favorite video game. Everyone should play it.

Sometimes, depending, I do write the occasional Stranger Things fic.

My shortest? I'm not sure. I do write a lot of one shot/stand alones. But if you are talking about something with multiple chapters, probably 'The Unfortunate Reunion', or "...And Baby Makes 3', I wrote them both in two months.

Run-on sentences and paragraphs. Like...I go full blown Stephen King with describing things sometimes.

I wish that I knew other languages so I could very openly do that. I do use Google Translate, or if I happen to know someone who speaks the particular language, I'd ask them.

Okay, hear me out...CSI: Vegas. I was in middle school. Greg Sanders/OC. The fics I still have on my A03 & FF.Net accounts. They're horrible written. Lol.

Y'know what, I am so proud of 'New Daddy', it's a smut that I literally spent a whole year writing. Nobody really paid it any mind, but I don't care. I put so much time and energy into it. I fucking love it.

Whump Sub! Okay, you can tell we're getting to the servers I don't really spend time in, I'm so sorry- I don't know much about this one. But uh there's like 20ish people in here, so it's quieter and chill but still active. Has a pretty well rounded channel selection with general sections and oc chatter areas.

Whumplovers Collaborate is a server with a couple hundred people. It's well rounded, has more extensive rules to keep ahold of everything, but a lot of room to explore different sections and areas of interest.

Whump Writing Central is probably the biggest and most popular one I've seen in my years here. It has sections for different kinds of chatter, writing and rp, has a submission system for tw requirements, and generally runs pretty smoothly. There's several hundred people in it and it's always active. I've definitely seen the most drama and complaints about this server, butttttt like. It has SO many more people than the others, so I think fair's fair. They have an impressive, tiered mod team to handle everything as it comes, and I think they do a good job of it.

Butttttt what if........?

There was just no way that Jaskier was a normal human man. It simply wasn't possible, Geralt insisted silently. The bard looked the part, yes, with broad shoulders and a wide back he still needed to grow into. A charming face that still had some of its boyish roundness. He was undeniably pretty and surely would be years from now. He certainly wasn't the type of man Geralt's eyes would follow in a nearly bursting tavern, but for some reason unbestknown to him, they did.

But then again, as much as he looked and acted human, Jaskier's scent was off. And it irritated Geralt to no end. He smelled like a human man - fuck, if he concentrated enough Geralt could even smell the cocktail of hormones that Jaskier's body produced, but the scent of herbs and chaos were as interwoven with Jaskier as any other smells.

There were only so many creatures in Geralt's bestiary that fit that description and he had tested Jaskier for all of them without getting any results. On multiple occasions he had handed the bard objects of silver and dimeritium, but other than looking at him in confusion Jaskier had shown no reaction whatsoever (he had though, somehow managed to cut himself on both Geralt's sword and dagger - his blood was red and fresh, the witcher had checked).

He showed a reflection in mirrors and water surfaces, wasn't affected by holidays and even the moon cycle didn't seem to bother Jaskier more than it would bother any other man. He was awake during the day and slept at night, but nothing spectacular happened when Geralt forced them to stay awake and travel on past sundown.

It frustrated Geralt so much that he even started to chant every sort of exorcism he could think of. Once again, the only reaction Jaskier gave him was a bewildered look and a sarcastic or outride crude comment.

He even went so fas as to follow Jaskier whenever they parted ways. But the festivals Jaskier wanted to visit were indeed festivals, the courts he played at were courts and the friends and colleagues were exactly that.

After a year and a half of trying out everything he could think of, Geralt was at the end of his wisdom. Despite it all Jaskier had become his good friend - one he tested for signs of possession every now and then, but still. On the day he couldn't take it anymore, he outright asked Jaskier what he was. The bard listened to him with eyes growing wider by the minute while Geralt admitted to every secret test he put Jaskier through.

When he was finally done, Jaskier stared at him for a long moment, rendered speechless by the sudden ball of information that had been hauled at him. As soon as he made sense of Geralt's words he broke into a loud fit of laughter that had him toppling over himself and brought tears into his eyes.

Every time he started to speak he broke into another fit of laughter until he was helplessly lying on the floor, chest heaving up and down as he tried to get enough air back into his lungs. Geralt watched the ordeal with a deadpan expression on his face.

When Jaskier had put himself back together again, he promptly lifted his shirt to show off two thin scars under his pectorals. "I'm no creature-thingy, I'm trans you fucking idiot!"

Oh. Geralt's ears turned red from embarrassment. Jaskier was a normal human man.

So I spent a lot of time yesterday thinking about THE COSTUME... You know the one... It's not great, but I think I can kind of see what the designers at Disney were going for.

Something without a set era... Something to hint at him having lived a long life without the passage of time as we know it.

I'm not sure they're pulling it off, to me it looks very visually confusing, but not in like an Intentional way.

I'll start with the waistcoat. The pocket style and trimming is very mid 18th century, but with the way it's worn... It's a bit short. Also it looks a tad too tight. If they had left more buttons open at the bottom, the silhouette would look more period appropriate.

It's just a quite bizarre choice of length when you take the rest of the costume into consideration.

Which brings me to the breeches. They're too baggy. Straight up. Buttons at the knee would suggest they're knee breeches, which were pretty damn fitted in most areas except the booty. I can see why they would perhaps put him in looser breeches, it's pretty hard to manage all those buttons with one hand after all... But why not just put him in something better fitting with open buttons at the knee?

Again, era confusion. They look longer than knee breeches length, and if they didn't have buttons at the knees and hint of a fall front I'd be all "woo, a pirate in period appropriate sailors slops!" Butttttt there are the buttons and what appears to be a fall front SO... Why the length? Long breeches didn't really start to get popular until the Regency period, but if they were making him Regency, then the waistcoat would be a lot shorter.

The shirt, I guess is fine for all of the 18th century and even some of the 19th, if I want to be really nit-picky I would have put the lace cuffs with a frock coat, since lace cuffs like that were generally reserved for more formal wear (and in most cases weren't even permanently attached to a shirt, just pinned on for such occasions.)

Onto the black cravat, it's thin. Very victorian and probably the thing I find most jarring as far as A historically appropriate pirate costume would go. G-D if you want to give Hook some interest around his shirt, give him a ruffled neck slit, that's perfectly historically accurate for a pirate shirt! And if it has to be a cravat, make it big, flowy, add some lace.

The hair...there's no curls, it's not book accurate at all. BUT it's kind of grown on me, like facially and hair wise I can definitely see a very sad, very lonely older guy who's not in the best frame of mind and could really do with seeing a therapist like years ago...

At the end of the day, despite the problems with this costume (it could be one of many, we don't know..) I do have that suspicion that he's gonna walk on screen and straight away my heart will start screaming "SAD PIRATE HUSBAND"

Moni Cashe: Hmmm, how can I put this. I use to believe in Soulmates but I changed my mind. I use to believe that there is someone out there for me and everyday I will get closer to meeting that special someone but now I'm not so sure. There are many people I witnessed in close relation to me who have prayed, "lived and Learned" and they're left praying their lives away with no partner. So I've grown to believe with all my heartache that true love can dwell in my presence. Not everyone gets to experience real love. People die early. People die without finding their soul purpose so why on earth, out of the millions and billions of people would I think in a millions years that I would end up with the love of my Life or a soul purpose? I mean I work hard but working hard gets you nowhere nowadays.

At the same time, Wesley and Zed watches. Welsey shakes his head, Now she realizes that?" He sighs while Kali is fuming right now, "LEADER?! YOU SHOULD BE ACTING LIKE ONE! YOU DUMBASSESS!" Kali yelled at Jinx and Ink.

"She's got a point though. You two are leaders...though, it's hard to see that at times with this." Rex said still trying to calm Kali down.

"B..but Ink's right! I'm sure we can help in a way too1 It can't be that bad can it!?" Jinx was sweatdropping sensing Echo's anger growing as she grips the phone. "I mean it's not as bad like the other buildings I accidentally destroyed from my last training-"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN OTHER BUILDINGS!? DID YOU DESTROY MORE OF THEM THIS WEEK!?!"

"...Ummm.....Hehe..." she shakes with eyes closed but Echo's eye was twitching.

"How. Many." She said.

"...I.....I don't remember. It's been a few days to-"

"HOW. MANY JINX!?" She shouted to make Jink squeak.

"I..I don't know?! A few maybe! It's not that bad!!" she said.

"...Mouse?"

Mouse blinks to check from her holo pad for a moment but when she did her eyes widen to sweatdrop. 'Ummmm from what I see. Jinx destoryed about 22 house properties in damage...it's no wonder we keep getting called to see Mr. Henderson about that.'

"...2....22 houses??" Echo said in shock but looks quiet.

"Ohhhhh so that's how many I destroyed....Oops?"

She laughed nervously but hopes Echo was not mad but...she tenses seeing Echo slowly look at her now gripping the phone. "N..Now Echo, I know it looks bad but I can explain-"

That's when Echo lost it.

"Putain, tu te moques de moi !? Vous avez détruit 22 maisons, porte-bonheur ! 22 !! qu'est-ce qui ne va pas chez vous !?" she shouted but grabs Jinx by the ear pulling it while she yelps crying.

((Translation: "Are you fucking kidding me!? You destroyed 22 houses jinx! 22!! what the hell is wrong with you!?"))

"I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY! OW NOT THE EARS!! DX THAT HURTS!!" she cries.

"Oh non ! Quand nous rentrons à la maison, vous êtes doublement fondés ! Vous devez faire mieux en tant que leader ! Pourquoi est-ce qu'à chaque fois que vous faites quelque chose de stupide, cela a toujours ce résultat !"

She was shouting at her in french but Jinx was scared when Echo gets this mad since she cussed others out in French or argues. Like Jinx for example.

"Oh come on! Don't be so upset about that!" Jinx said but Rex shook his head before lowering it and sees the mess. Yeah, they did go over board but they should be happy that this was done-"

"YOU TWO IDIOTS TORE DOWN A BUILDING!!"

"Uhhhhhh.... "she blinks to hear this but looks nervous. "Again, at least no one got hurt." he laughed but was still nervous. Echo shook in anger from this and her eye twitching angry like.

Even Winter and Spring blinks seeing this but seeing Rex still calming Kali down.

"Are..are you kidding me!?" She said.

"You...." Navarro tries to calm down but couldn't anymore, "YOU DUNCE DAMN IDIOTS! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO?! WHAT THE FUCK!? WHAT THE FUCK?!" Navarro said, showing the destruction they caused.

"W-we're sorry! That's our bad?!"

"Don't give us 'That's our bad'?! WHO SAYS YOU CAN BE SPARRING NEAR THE BUILDING! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO CAUSE?! OUT OF BUDGET?!" Navarro said.

"Uhhh..."

"OF COURSE NOT! YOU'RE SO FREAKING GROUNDED!"

"Hey you can't do that! Besides, it was just a little accident!" Jinx pouts.

"This is NOT a accident! But don't worry Jinx, YOUR GROUNDED TOO!"

"HEY, I'M NOT GROUNDED! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" She pouts but Echo sighed to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"Jinx, arrête d'être un bébé !" (Translation: Jinx, stop being a baby!) You and Ink did this so you need to be punished for it! Besides, we told you NO fighting/training near the buildings!" she points at her.

"...Umm...even if it's on this side of the-"

"IT'S ANY ONE YOU DUMMY!" she said but takes out her phone to call Mouse. "Besides, you and Ink know better!" she said seeing Jinx pouting.

"Oh come on Echo, I'm sorry! REally! We were just having fun! DX"

Echo sighed but hears Mouse.

'Hey Echo, what's up?'

"Hey Mouse. Can you give me and Navarro some update on...property damage? I'm sure Fosh will do the same if he sees this mess..."

'Uhhhh Property damage?........*sighs* Let me guess, another building got destroyed again?'

"You know how they are.."

'Hold on, just put me on video and let me see..' Echo did that but turns the phone to let Mouse see.

'Alright, lets see how bad it-HOLY CRAP!' Her eyes widen seeing the rubble along with the smoke and things. 'WHAT DID INK AND JINX DO!?' She said.

Slotherhouse (2023)

Senior Emily Young wants to be elected sorority president. She adopts a cute sloth, thinking it will help her win, but a string of fatalities implicates the sloth.

JayBell: I was so ready to love this movie. I thought it would be bad, yes, but the self-aware kind of bad where it's actually good again. I'm sad to say that even this satirical ridiculous movie about a sloth on a murder spree just missed the mark for me.

First, what is with the nonstop music in scenes? The music is overused and often overtakes what is actually onscreen. Please let music enhance scenes, not try to force sentimentality where non exists.

Also, this is probably just a personal thing, but I dislike when movies use social media popularity as a goal for characters. It's just hard for me to relate to and be sympathetic to, and then I have to be prepared for the underlying message and themes about what social media has done to culture and the youth and blah blah. Plus, I just cringe seeing the fake social media comments and posts in movies.

My major problem in this movie, and trust me there are many (bad acting, bad writing, plot holes you could drive a bus through, useless boyfriend character, and so much more), is that the main character isn't sympathetic or likeable at all. Her motive for stealing this sloth from an illegal animal trade isn't enough for me to want to see her succeed. One brief second you're led to believe this whole adventure is because she wants to connect with her mom, but nope, she just wants to be popular and liked. Understandable yeah, but ultimately shallow and overused in fiction. She acts so much younger and immature than she's supposed to be. Plus, she's such a flip flop with her actions.

Anyways, the sloth is the best part of this movie, but that's not saying much cause every scene with humans is disappointing. It's sad because I feel like there was so much silly potential with this movie.

Anzie: I just have to come out and be honest. This is a really awful movie. Really awful. And the only thing that saves it. The killer sloth. Now I am biased bc I love sloths, always have, but this sloth has the vibes, even if a she’s a psychotic murderer. Honestly, the writers did such a good job making it so easy to sympathize and root for this sloth. Uggg and the name. Alpha? AlPhA??? AllllaaaphAaaaaaa? Come on man.

I really can’t process what I experienced- but the humans are literally the worst part of this movie. Sure the sloth is this cute puppet looking thing that reminds me of my pupper. Butttttt these peopleeeeeeee, ugggggg. They are so dumb, say the most ridiculous things, and seem to have no brain. I have so many questions about all of it. But ya know what. I’m good. I don’t need to know everything.

Lovvvvve when the sloth spits out the tranquilizer pill when he gets jelly on the computer and starts his rampage. Absolutely iconic. And I do like that the writers’ reference old Halloween classics like CHUCKY, The Shining, and Halloween. And I know the point of this movie is a commentary on social media and ego and all that yada yada but it still was unbearable.

That said as much as my soul was dying, I was cackling for a good hour.

**** I really don’t get the flute music the whole time. Maybe it was royalty free. Maybe it was vibes. I’ll never be able to tell.
