hey everyone!

a few news items right before we start up chapter 5. firstly i just wanna say thanks to everyone who follows my comics, it's been a pleasure as always. i've been keeping a longer buffer on patreon than usual, mostly for my mental health. publishing takes a lot of energy and i've really felt it necessary to just focus on production for a few weeks. at this point, patrons have seen most of chapter 5, there's only one more scene and about a page to be drawn. the quiet has been nice, i've caught up on a lot of house keeping, though i'm obviously very excited to present it! and on house keeping,

to not go into the boring details (the old domain got trapped between to hosting sites in the middle of a buyout), it's not hosted at cod-domesticated.com (rip custom url you will be missed) it will instead be hosted at salemlinnet.com/domesticated (now you live at my house like you're my son why didn't i think of this sooner). if you find any errors in the pages i am so sorry i just formatted so many buttons TTuTT it would be super helpful to me if folks could report any specific buttons that don't work if it's convenient, it's been beta tested by the discord (thank you guys so much) but i'm just a dunce and i can't be trusted so there might be errors.

the simons are all wearing a little beret this chapter is my third point of business, i am losing it over the ghost beret. oh and the devil may care is up to chapter 18, will be chapter 19 within a few days. page 21 is out for patrons.

finally, to the people lurking for thistle and spade. i've wanted to say for some time, i'm really grateful that you've stuck around while i've been too sick to work on a bigger project. if you were here to see me start production for and then pull ghost #1, the story behind it is that i sort of suddenly learned i wouldn't always be as sick as i was, that i didn't have to rush anything, and that i could produce thistle and spade in chronological order with a bit of patience. that left me with no smaller project to draw and release in the mean time, except, see, i really like this game, call of duty. i was still on bed rest when i started domesticated, and with a ton of physical therapy i've been able to draw longer and longer hours. it's trained me up to be a better comic artist than i ever was before. it's grown into a sturdier project at the same pace. it's so unlike thistle and spade, whose chapters were written and edited over years and planned to every gesture and expression. i'm just winging it with domesticated, i'm usually rewriting massive swaths of dialogue as i sketch the scenes out, i just keep throwing out ideas until it's something i'm excited to draw and present as my imaginary "what happened outside of the games" day dream land. it's reminded me what i love so much about story telling and comics. it's made me excited to see thistle and spade go live again down the road. but first i have to rebuild its website too TTuTT

✦ Blade

The Stellaron Hunter didn't understand at all what you were offering him and why you were crushing snow in your hands. He decides to just ignore you, continuing to walk back to the walls of Belobog to return to the room and warm up, which, of course, doesn't suit you at all, and only encourages you to catch your brazenly indifferent lover by surprise.

Blade sighs in displeasure when your footsteps fade behind him, forcing him to turn around.

— Y/N, are you coming or…

What an accurate hit! Blade's grumbling is drowned out by a clod of snow flying directly into his face, and you both freeze for a few seconds, but each for a different reason. You suddenly realize what just happened, because you were aiming at Blade's back, and now the only thing you can do is just pray that he doesn't get too angry.

— Oh… S-sorry, Blade… — you cover your lips with your hands frozen from the snow, muttering your apologies uncertainly and watching the lumps of snow slowly fall off Blade's face.

The Hunter himself froze only because he was thinking in his head what he should do with you.

You step back when Blade raises his hand, brushing the snow from his eyes, which instantly open, fixing his menacing gaze on you.

— Hey, you're not mad, are you? I didn't mean to, I just wanted to scare you, and you turned around, that's it.… You wouldn't kill me right before such an important holiday, would you?

The Hunter didn't say a word, silently closing the distance between you and abruptly wrapping his arms around your waist. You only had time to squeal when the gate of Belobog turned upside down in front of your frightened eyes, and the body plopped into the nearest snowdrift.

— What the fuck, Blade?! — you are indignant, but you can't help laughing when you raise your head, meeting the stern gaze of the man looming over you, in whose hair and cheeks there are still snowflakes that have not had time to melt.

— I thought you should cool down your childish ardor a little.

— Oh, come on! — you giggle, throwing another hastily made snowball at Blade's chest.

— I guess I'll just leave you here since you're having so much fun, — the Hunter sighs before turning around and heading towards the gate, leaving you behind.

— Hey! — you're floundering in the snow in a pathetic attempt to get your ass out of a snowdrift, but you're only burrowing deeper. — Blade, wait! Help me up!

Although you can't see it, when Blade stops, the corners of his lips lift slightly, and a smug grunt leaves his chest. Let's see what you can offer in return for his invaluable help.…

✦ Jing Yuan

— Hey, look, he looks so much like you! — you giggle, running up and sitting down in front of a lonely sleeping bear in the snow.

— Ha-ha! And what do I have in common with him? — Jing Yuan chuckles, stopping behind your back and watching you gently poke the nose of a sleepy little animal.

— Whenever I come to your place of work, you always look exactly the same.

— Oh, honey, do you really think I'm such a bum? — the General awkwardly rubs the back of his head as you straighten up and turn around, standing on tiptoe to get a closer look at his shameless honey eyes.

— It's not just my opinion, believe me. You really are a bum, Jing Yuan!

— Unfortunately, I can't agree with you, honey. I can prove that I'm conscientiously fulfilling my duties, but do you have any evidence of my idleness? — the General smiles softly, tightening the scarf around your neck.

— Oh, I have a thousand proofs! A whole gallery of photos of how you shamelessly sleep at work! But I left my phone in the room.…

— Well, in that case, we won't be able to figure out which one of us is right now.

— How about a duel? — you squint, smiling slyly.

— Duel?

— Yes, let's play snowballs, whoever wins is right! Or was the General afraid to lose to a fragile girl? — you gloat, poking your finger into Jing Yuan's chest, ripping another velvety chuckle from his lips.

— Okay. Just don't complain when I win.

— Okay. In that case, don't even think about giving in!

The teddy bear lazily opens its eyes, twitching its ears at the loud sound of laughter and unfamiliar voices coming from somewhere near the place where the animal decided to take a nap. The little heart flinches when a snowball flies in front of the bear's eyes, falling clearly into the fluffy hair of the smiling Jing Yuan.

— Now you are exactly the copy of this bear!

— Oh, really? — the General grins, brushing snow off his shoulder.

— Yes, and you also seem to be losing.

Jing Yuan examines his clothes, which are completely covered with snow, and pretends to sigh in resignation.

— Well, then I'll have to even the score.

— What do you mean?.. — you're muttering to yourself, engrossed in sculpting another snowball, when Jing Yuan slowly sneaks up from behind, grabbing you by the waist with his big hands and dumping you with him into the snowdrift behind which you were hiding. — What are you doing?!

You writhe in the General's arms, feeling the snow seep under your jacket and into your boots, to the sound of a man's loud velvety laughter tugging at your snow-covered hair.

— Now we're both in the snow, how are you going to keep score?

You gently slap your palm against Jing Yuan's chest in mock annoyance, while he refuses to let you out of his arms, pressing you even tighter to his body.

— You!.. If I get sick before the New Year, it will be on your conscience!

— Play what? — Dan Heng looks puzzled as you collect a small pile of snow in your hands, forming a small ball out of it.

— Snowballs! Defend! — you cheerfully throw a lump of snow into the chest of an incomprehensible man, pausing and freezing for a second when he just silently stares at the snow spot on his jacket.

A doomed sigh leaves Dan Heng's throat, and he looks up at you, adjusting the red scarf around his neck.

— You're acting like a child, Y/N.

— And you're acting like a bore, — you shake your head disapprovingly, resting your mittened hands on your hips. — If you just keep standing like that, you'll soon look like one of these snowdrifts!

— Okay, okay, I get it, — Dan Heng's turquoise eyes roll up under lazily lowered eyelids, but he still bends down, picking up some snow under his feet, clumsily crumpling it into a snowball.

— And how many conversations there were!

Although from the outside it might seem that you are the only one having fun of the two of you, the corners of Dan Heng's lips still slightly lift as you mercilessly bombard him with small snowballs, the attacks of which he reluctantly tries to resist.

You just look so happy and carefree that Dan Heng is unable to resist your infectious playful mood, gradually, unnoticeably for him, joining the duel into which you forcibly dragged him. Although his throws are obviously not as strong as they could be, because he is afraid that bruises may remain on your body, still some excitement wakes up in the man, to which he unknowingly succumbs, hitting one of the snowballs in your head.

— Oh! Y/N, I'm sorry! — Dan Heng immediately runs up to you with a pronounced concern painted on his face, which you only meet with a puzzled look.

— Come on, it didn't even hurt me. I'm okay, — you smile, noticing how prettily the tip of Dan Heng's nose and cheeks have turned red, and take off the mittens from your hands.

— What are you doing?.. — Dan Heng's words melt on the tongue, as does the cold on his cheeks when they are unexpectedly touched by your warm palms.

You giggle, pulling his face down to yours to leave a short kiss on his nose, which is flushed from the cold.

— I'm so glad that I can celebrate the New Year here with you, — your lover's emerald eyes widen when they meet your gentle gaze, and you could swear that you noticed how Dan Heng's face turned even redder after your words. — Shall we go back to the hotel?

— Y-yes…

You pull the mittens back on your palms, which have absorbed some of the cold from Dan Heng's face, and grab his hand, carefully stepping over the snowdrifts under your feet to return to the path you originally walked along.

«I'm glad too…» — these words are spinning on Dan Heng's tongue, but he only tries to bury himself deeper into his scarf so that you don't notice how embarrassed he is.

— And by the way, this time we will consider that we have a draw, but I'll wait for a rematch!

Copia singing in profile

The second Ghost piece I've ever published and both of them were surprisingly well received! I never had such a response in a fandom before and it kind of...triggered the creative explosion over the last year. Really happy with how this turned out, the hair, face etc. But having a great photo reference makes things easy :) unfortunately I don't know who the photographer was - if anyone knows, please let me know!

The Terzo and Copia as Genie and Ange du Mal Paintings

Such a fun commission! It wasn't easy, but having such a nice reference in the original statues by the Geefs helped a lot - just had to papa-fy the bodies a bit.

I'd do the arm differently, but all in all I'm very happy. It was very difficult doing the out of focus effect traditionally and black background...If you know, you know. The eyes turned out really well, as did the hair!

Probably my most successful piece, I think, so far? It sparked some controversy with people upset over Terzos height...which was obviously a joke (because I'm the type of person who puts way too much effort into jokes and ends up doing a whole watercolour painting with 4 people).

The 30(ish) Minute Sketch Series

It was surprisingly difficult to chose the fifth one! I thought about the Nothing Lasts forever Copia, because I'm proud of that one for trying new things, or Guitar Playing Copia, which i really like, too, or Ass and Thigh Fabric Study Copia and if I hadn't restricted the list to SFW only, you'd find the Desk fun one that turned out so well, or suggestive Terzo here... But ultimately decided to be a filthy cheater and chose this series, because it helped me grow a lot as a (portrait) artist, with certain facial features, angles and poses, developing a sketch style I like and focusing on important parts, instead of trying to do ALL the details, as I usually do - and I do like the results (the ones I publish, anyway, the others discreetly end up in the trash, ahem), actually. (Cheated even more and added three of them as examples, sorry, sue me)

The Escaflowne Movie CD Dramas

Time to share some thoughts about the CD dramas I recently posted (one, two). There’s so many topics I will just make a few sections. This is insanely long and... just insane again. So I'm putting a cut right here.

First of all, this was such a different translation project than I’m used to! Meaning, it was spoken word instead of written and there was no official transcription. That is the difference between these two movie dramas and the series drama (Thought of Jeture). ToJ had the whole script in the booklet, so that would make the translation MUCH easier. The only thing we have for these are the summaries in the movie Newtype Artbook. Anyway, it was a fight but I’m pretty confident with this translation.

Speaking of booklets, sorry about the quality of the pictures/scans. For some reason, these booklets are really deteriorating, dunno if anyone who has the same CDs can confirm, but they are yellowing pretty badly and what is worse, in an irregular way where one page is totally different color from the other. I don’t think the environment I store it in is too bad, there’s not a problem with humidity or anything and most of the other materials are fine but ofc, I can’t speak for the previous owner. Or it’s simply a feature. The booklets are printed on some textured, off-white (possibly recycled?) paper in the first place, so they were never white, but then there’s the yellowing. I tried to fix it a bit in Photoshop but when it’s irregular AND in color, my editing skills come short. BTW, I had a similar problem when I scanned Escabible, I just gave up and made it B&W cause the print was originally green on pages that yellowed with time. Anyway, these cd drama booklets have sparse contents compared to some others (there are only the song lyrics and credits and some non-specific artwork), so I included the scans more or less informatively.

Finally, to the contents. This is definitely more complementary to the movie than the novel which takes some different paths. I believe this one was made so that it doesn’t contradict anything in the movie, although some things leave you guessing. We’ll get to them later. Which may be one of the reasons why it's kind of hard to be in the drama setting and not to feel like “this is just another Escaflowne AU” but realize it is an actual prequel/prologue to the movie. It has all the scenes that you would have in yet another Escaflowne retelling, such as:

Hitomi meeting Van under dramatic circumstances (though I must say this is probably their most civil first encounter, there’s practically no fighting!)

meeting with other characters like Allen and Millerna (the Van and Allen fight is practically a copy of the movie fight… even bears resemblance to their first series encounter)

introduction to other characters like Folken, Dryden, and Dilandau

I get it, I get it. This was a case of amnesia in the end. But we are just more used to AUs in this fandom, haha. I also get you would want cameos to every character with a semblance of a fandom in a new franchise material. But I can’t shake the feeling they weren’t trying all that hard to tie things into the movie perfectly, although the cd drama is described as its prequel.

For clarity, I still consider the cd dramas and the movies the same universe and the things that happened in the drama as canon for the movie. There is also the movie novel, which I will publish in the future, but that one is another beast and I wouldn’t necessarily say things that are true there are some secret lore for the movie that was just never mentioned. It’s more up to the decision of the reader whether you accept them into your movie headcanon (because some of the novel lore contradicts the movie so how much can you believe the rest of it?) The multiverse is quite insane already but yes, this happens, with other titles as well.

BTW, it is neat they included Dornkirk’s seiyuu in the voice of Orm. This is a pretty mysterious character but he fulfills the role of the deus ex machina for the whole thing, never to be mentioned again in the actual movie. It is through him we learn more about Folken and Van, which would otherwise have to be spoken about by themselves in a voice drama/movie, and yeah, we all know the odds of that. Anyway, he is not human. He is not Dragon Clan, because that’s people like Van and Folken. And yet, he changes into a dragon. Is he actually a dragon god? One of the two who created Gaea? I guess not if it’s the two princes who decide the fate of Gaea instead of him. Perhaps he lost his power or there were lesser dragon gods? Or he’s not a dragon at all; it’s just sorcery of some sort. He says he’s just a sorcerer, after all. But he looks like a goblin. It took me a while to realize and you may not remember either, but the movie also has madoushi or sorcerers, except they don't look exactly human.

Rather, they resemble the series Ispano and their work with on Alseides confirms this. So now I believe this Orm could possibly be one of these guys (maybe before whatever it is that got done to them?) and he shows his true form to Hitomi. And when you think of it, much like Ispano, Orm acts as a sort of “insurance” against world destruction. The topics just keep recurring it seems.

Anyway, I just made some notes about these cd dramas and grouped them according to the topic.

Physical descriptions of the characters

If you introduce a character in an audio drama like this, you have to introduce them through the narrator’s voice, similarly to a book. That’s why Hitomi has to spend more time describing Orm’s shiny eyes, protruding teeth, etc. than she does with the known characters with a known design, who, all with the exception of Van, get just about one sentence. She spends some more time describing Van and although she observes how “beautiful the two look in their fight” (I had to make a note of that), she never spares a second thought to Allen, or any of the other handsome men she sees. No more love triangles, the soulmate game here is too strong! 

Anyway, in this material, Hitomi describes Van’s eyes twice with a word that literally means “see-through”. It felt odd but it is apparently a set expression, unless they tried to involve some double meaning. It’s apparently a synonym of clear/shiny/sparkly/pure/beautiful eyes… you can buy contact lenses that promise to do this for you in Japan lol. I translated the novel as well and there are more strange descriptions of his eyes in there, maybe that’s why it felt so significant. There is also a bit of a difference compared to the series materials, where they would just describe the color in a way you would describe a specific shade of blue or any other color. In any case, however literally or not they meant this, Van has pretty eyes, as we already knew. It was also funny when Millerna described him as cute and connected it to whether he would want to join Abaharaki. Like a cute face was a prerequisite or something lol. But she’s probably on about him being too tsun despite the face.

Another thing we discussed during editing was this “sign of the king” that was shown already at the time of Van’s birth… and wasn’t at the time of Folken’s. At first, I thought very simplistically that it may have something to do with the tattoos (or would they be markings then)? But that doesn’t seem to be the case and they are confirmed to be tattoos for the novel, although it doesn’t seem anyone else from the Dragon Clan would have them there. In the movie, on the contrary, young Dune and even Van’s mother are shown to have them as well, so the meaning of them could have been different. Back to the “sign of the king,” I returned to that part of the translation later and it seems it was something that the seers saw in their prophecies after all. Some symbol of the dragon king that was not specified. Sidenote, I pitied and blamed Dune’s mother at the same time. Poor guy.

This got all about Van again but I don’t think anyone else was given enough description to even discuss? It’s clearly obvious who Hitomi’s love interest is. I would say it makes it clearer than the movie itself, because it has these inner monologues and it’s pretty romantic already despite the two barely knowing each other. I would even say Van’s behavior is gentler than any other iteration (?) But when you think of it, the cd dramas are usually THE fanservice materials, aren’t they? So obviously, they would give most attention to the popular characters and ships… but let’s get to the more pragmatic stuff.

When do the Prologues take place?

The two prologues obviously happen before the movie but how long before that? Let’s check some placeholders and see what we can figure out.

“the winter of my sixteenth year” “not even a spring break yet” “soon, you’ll be a third year”

High school in Japan is three years with the school year starting in spring. So I believe this is happening at the end of Hitomi’s second year. Her age of 16 fits. In the movie materials, her age is described as 17, so somewhere between the two, she also has her birthday. Could it be in December, same as in the series? That would make the window for the drama very narrow, because it’s winter but not yet 9th of December. We can't probably take that date as a reference, anyway.

“is the way to the Mystic Moon closed now?” “yes, for now. But once the moon is full again…”

This is something Folken and Sora speak about in cd 1 when Van deflects Orm. But then it is Van who reaches out to Hitomi first before they can do as they plan. At the end of cd 2, Folken asks Sora to open the path again so I assume these conditions still apply. Then the movie may be one or several months after the events of the cd drama, since they need the full moon. Well, if the Moon works and time passes the same on both planets…

I believe this takes place in a range of one to few more months before the movie. Why? Folken asks Sora if the way to the Mystic Moon is closed. And Sora says, it is, "but once the Moon is full again..." Unclear which moon, but we could assume their moon, the one with the eye. Looks similar to our moon, and if it was the same, it would have been one month. But then, the movie is definitely not taking place in the winter, like this drama. So, when is it?

Let’s look at the placeholders from the movie directly. First thing we have is Hitomi’s watch, which says, SA 18th, 16:15:28. Normally, SA would stand for Saturday, the screen of her watch (or the information on it) even looks pretty similar to existing models of Casio Chronograph/Illuminator:

You may wonder why she would be at school on Saturday afternoon but it was normal at the time of the movie production, Japanese students only had Sundays off. They talk about some plans next day on the train right after the rooftop scene and Hitomi asks Yukari to give her a wake-up call in the morning, which would fit. You see them having a bit of fun and it doesn’t seem the next day yet, they are still in their uniforms. Later at the stairs (although it is not in the subs I had), Yukari says they will see each other at school tomorrow. But shouldn’t it be Sunday next day? Or is what we see already the next day, the thing they made plans for? But why not dress casually, then? And aren't they on the train to/in Tokyo already when they discuss this? I guess this theory is not too likely, then.

It’s actually baffling. Because the scenes also do not follow in a linear way; you see them on the train, there is a shot of Hitomi at the stadium already, then they walk around Harajuku/Omotesando, and back on the train where they are held-off because of an accident at Yoyogi. Yoyogi station is on Yamanote line, the circular line going around Tokyo. That station, Harajuku, Omotesando, Meiji Jingu, National Stadium… it’s all in the same wide area but maybe it’s a bit too much for walking, unless they had a lot of time. I mean it would take them almost two hours just to get to that athletics stadium if they left their school right after the roof scene at 4 pm (according to her jersey, the school is still in Kamakura). But they don’t even have their school bags, Yukari just has a small shopping/gift bag it seems. Did they put them in a coin locker on the station or something? In the novel, they just run away from school (or rather, from an angry teacher), so that would make sense with the bags if they at least had some money on them but it seems too late in the day to do that. But I guess it’s still the best explanation. The sun sets around 7 pm at that time of the year in Tokyo. But that still doesn’t explain why Yukari says “see you at school tomorrow” when it should be the weekend. If she meant cram school, guess she would say that and not school. Maybe there’s something I’m missing that puts it all together. Or they are doing this on purpose. EDIT: I just reread this for possible typos and it came to my mind that the plans Yukari and Hitomi have could be for Sunday AND at school. Yukari says, "you promised, remember?" which made me feel like she was worried Hitomi would just cancel but it may actually be something of a favor to Yukari? IDK, for example, helping her cleaning the club room or something? She DOES use "kureru" which means that she hopes Hitomi will do this "for her". That's a thought...

Anyway, I researched the watch a bit and if the display was really like a digital Casio Chronograph, we wouldn’t know the month from looking at the screen (some models have the full date but this type, only the day of the month). But what can we guess about the month from the movie itself? It's not full-blown spring, otherwise we would see at least one blooming sakura tree, I guarantee it. In similar vein, if it was the height of summer, there would be sound of cicadas (June to September). Late spring/early summer or early autumn is my best bet based on the greenery we see, plus Hitomi and Yukari wearing the summer uniforms (the school uniform would have a version for cold and hot days) and people wearing tshirts and summer dresses in Tokyo. Then it would be about half a year after the cd drama.

But here’s a crazy thing: Hitomi’s watch is shown once again on Gaea and it has SA 19th 17:05 on it. It is the next day compared to the roof scene where it's 18th but also it's still SA… This confused me so much I even checked the settei but I didn't learn much besides that it's her favorite watch and the pattern you see above the screen is an image of an angel that can be backlit in the dark and that she only checks the time once while on Gaea. The settei uses the time from the roof scene btw.

So does the SA stand for month after all? SA for sangatsu (March)? It doesn’t look like March in the scenes with Yukari, I mean, March is the graduation month, remember? Sakuras would be everywhere and they would wear jackets. Could it be then they simply forgot to change SA to SU? That would be the smoothest explanation in fact. Or is there some significance to this? Something something her watch has stopped like that time at the Tokyo Station when she was a child? Anyway, let’s recap the options, since, as usual with the franchise, there is a hole in each and every one of them:

If the roof is on Saturday 18th and the stadium are the same day, then next day we see her watch on Gaea and it’s “SA” 19th… then where did they leave their school bags and why is Yukari telling Hitomi she’ll meet her tomorrow at school if it should be a day off?

If the roof is on Saturday 18th and the stadium on Sunday 19th evening… then why are they wearing school uniforms on Sunday and why are they on a train to Tokyo on Saturday and why should her watch show the “SA” 19th 5 pm after she came to Gaea and slept for some time at the caravan?

If SA is not for Saturday but for the month of March and the roof scene could be any weekday… then why is her watch different from regular Japanese digital watches and why doesn’t it look at all like March outside?

And if SA is neither for Saturday nor sangatsu... then WHAT? I think it could be a subtle “Stop Asking” by the creators, lol.

Or, you know what, her watch did not take the interplanetary travel and the liquid in Escaflowne cockpit too well and broke. That’s my best explanation offer I guess (besides an animation error).

Why does Van not remember Hitomi in the movie if he has already met her?

I consider this the elephant in the room: okay, Hitomi went to Gaea before but Orm used his magic to bring her back and make her forget. But what about everyone else who met her, back on Gaea? Which would be Van, Allen, Millerna, Gaddes, Jajuka, Sora, and Folken? I believe some of their reactions in the movie, but especially Van’s in the beginning, confirm that they don’t remember that encounter.

But how can you erase someone from several people’s memories at once? Even if you erase the memory of her, her actions on Gaea leave some impact… Folken literally swears to bring her back again and he does in the movie. Moreover, in the cd drama, the location of Escaflowne is revealed to Folken through Hitomi’s ancient memories (as Sora spies on her telepathically). The first scene of the movie has Van stealing the armor from Black Dragon Clan’s ship. I believe this ties nicely to the “Escaflowne is discovered underneath Torushina” from the ending of the cd drama. Basically, some time has passed, and BDC dug out Escaflowne, now transporting it to Folken. Meanwhile, Folken is trying to summon Hitomi back because with her and Escaflowne, he apparently has all the ingredients for his plan.

When it comes to Abaharaki, apparently, the cd drama gives us a scene of their first meeting with Van. So, it has not been all that long that he was with the Abaharaki. But since he is with them in the movie, this event from the cd drama is also something that did not get reversed by Orm sending Hitomi back. It’s hard to wrap one’s head around. Allen, Millerna, and Gaddes come across Hitomi and Van because they were apparently in the vicinity and “saw a light”. This is all happening in a “holy land” that bears the name of Arzas, btw.

But if Van wasn’t summoning the Wing Goddess, why would he even go there? Why would Allen come check if there was no light from her arrival from Earth? Of course, the meeting of Van and Abaharaki might have happened anyway, by pure chance. After all, Merle in the movie says they “met on the battlefield”. For the Abaharaki, they “could not take a better look” at Hitomi before she was snatched away by Jajuka and they’ve never seen her again in the drama. So I guess their movie reactions would be plausible even if they did remember Hitomi’s first arrival in the cd drama. But Van is just a big question mark and either their meeting “never happened” or his memory got erased.

So Orm changed into a dragon and took Hitomi, her memories, and apparently Van’s memories away. Then what, was Van just left standing there, wondering what happened and why he even went out there? How about Merle, who went with him to rescue Hitomi? She would remember that the Wing Goddess was there, wouldn’t she? Even though she hasn’t seen her in the cd drama. This adds Merle to Allen, Millerna, Gaddes, and Mole, who form a group of characters who knew of the Wing Goddess coming to Gaea but wouldn’t know her face.

Then we have another group formed by Van, Folken, Sora, Jajuka, who had also seen her. Out of all these, Van is the only one who is confirmed to have forgotten. Others may as well remember everything, because they go retrieve Escaflowne and eventually Hitomi. Interesting. So I guess the first group may remember her arrival, they just don’t know how she looks. The second group, minus Van, could know everything. Van was apparently made to forget by some effect of Orm’s sorcery. Either he forgot her face or their whole encounter. That, or it never happened.

Another variation is, only Folken and Sora remember Hitomi. I guess that would make some sense, since Sora seems to be the one ‘in the know’ about everything, together with Orm, and to some extent, Folken. Then again, Van is a pretty strong magic user himself as we discover, so why would Folken and Sora be able resist Orm’s magic and not him?

I guess this could be explained by Orm’s final scene, where he sounds pretty mad at Van. Which is interesting. He’s not cross with Folken who wants to destroy the world, he’s angry with Van cause he is using Hitomi as a tool for his revenge which will just cause her more sorrow. So, does he in fact only seal her away from Van or erase only his memories? Because Van is not ready to lift Hitomi’s spirits and ease her loneliness? It seems Orm puts some hopes of saving the world into Van and is disappointed that he doesn’t realize what he needs to do. Then again, how would sealing Van away and leaving the path open for Folken help? Perhaps Orm meant to seal her away from both brothers but Sora overcame that magic? It’s frustrating that they just won’t.let.us.know.

But I believe Van having no memory of their encounter could be why (besides the obvious resonance of their depressed souls) Folken is the one to bring Hitomi to Gaea in the movie. Van isn’t even trying to reach her anymore like he does in the cd drama, it seems he is 100% focused on obtaining Escaflowne. Which I guess was his mindset in the first place even as he, on his own volition, went out and whisked Hitomi away from Earth, which coincidentally made for a pretty romantic scene but you can still see he’s all about obtaining the armor. I mean it is logical, once he knows BDC has Escaflowne, it means everything to take it out of their hands. It is also sort of parallel to the series when he asks her pragmatically and logically to help him against Zaibach without considering her feelings.

But really, nothing like, “You’re the Wing Goddess? Few months back, I tried to summon you from the holy land of Arzas, using all the magic taught to me by the beast clan but you left me on Read?” Ahh yes that would be uncharacteristic to disclose by this particular character, I get it.

So what do you think? Did Orm make him forget or did he revert Hitomi’s whole first visit to Gaea?

“Ancient Gaea”

What is also pretty blurry is this whole “Wing Goddess lived on ancient Gaea and she met Van then… but she has forgotten.”

Okay, what do we know of this “ancient Gaea”? We know the Wing Goddess as well as “Van” in some form lived there and then. And they were “alike” in some way. Orm calls them “twins” or “gemini” which I do get may sound problematic (I translated it as “two of the same kind” in the end) but I don’t think he means they are related. Also, “dragons” lived on this Gaea. I don’t know, as I listened to this part with the series soundtrack in the bg, I suddenly got the feeling like they talked about the series. Which makes not much sense of course. There is no proof of that. Movie Escaflowne is different, the series one didn’t destroy the world… it doesn’t work. But I still got a nostalgic feeling like that.

Then the last thing we know is Escaflowne actually destroyed some major city… I guess, likely in battle with the movie Alseides, they just laid ruin to this ancient Gaea civilization, whatever it was. In this battle it seems, Escaflowne could have been buried by rubble of what could have been the predecessor of Torushina, which itself could have been gradually built upon the ancient city ruins. That’s all we know. Anyway, I kinda hate when Sora teases like “could we bring back the ancient memories of the Wing Goddess?” Don’t give us hope if you’re never, ever gonna deliver, dammit. Maybe I should deliver in fic form haha (no I will not start another project).

Random thoughts after watching the movie after having translated the drama

Now that I think of it, the movie actively avoids any direct reference to the events of the cd drama. But after giving a proper attention to the CD drama, you see echoes of it in the movie, echoes of Hitomi remembering on some level after all. Like, when they are frolicking with Yukari, and she hears Sora’s song… she immediately understands someone is calling. It’s not “I hear a song nobody else seems to hear” anymore, it’s her immediately understanding that Yukari doesn’t hear it and that she’s being called.

BTW, what I humbly believe the movie subs/dubs could have done a little better was the scene with Yukari at the stadium. Hitomi tells Yukari she’s annoying for meddling in her life. She says “annoying” and “just disappear” repeatedly and there is this transition from when it seems like she’s really calling Yukari  “annoying” and muttering she should “go away” to when you understand that she is talking about herself. Hitomi is the “bad guy” and she’s the one who should “disappear”. If you use “fade away” it doesn’t click so much because you don’t tell another person to “fade away”.

Also, in cd 1, when Hitomi sees Van for the first time and the dragon fossil in the face of the mountain. I got this weird feeling it could be Van just before he takes off to kill everyone on the Black Dragon Ship and steal Escaflowne in the very first movie scene. Because yes, we see the mountain with the dragon fossil in that movie scene (presumably one of the twin gods Van prays to), he prays for the death of his enemies (that he does massacre in the movie opening scene), even the music is the same... because Bird song is the first part of First Vision, the OST for the first scene of the movie.

Or perhaps, for Hitomi's “first vision”, and it refers to this scene from the drama? Of course, nothing gets confirmed here either. Anyway, if she sees Van in real time, what would he be doing at the time she’s under Orm’s spell on the train? Well, apparently, he is aware of Orm’s actions, and with support of the elders from the wolf village, he is trying to intercept him. Which he does later, in the cave. But would his preparation for that be this? Wishing death upon his enemies with the sword drawn and then flying off… idk, it fits the movie scene better.

This post got really speculative so I’ll just stop here but I think I’ll make one or two other posts. One will just have the movie trivia without as much of my speculation. Another will be a bit critical because while I like Escaflowne in all its forms, I did get a bit frustrated here and I should let it out.

Conquest Knight + Update

Hello, I just wanted to post something, I am not dead. I just, I really just hate sketching, I hate doing lighting and shading or rendering or whatever.

This drawing is an old piece I never published but finished a while back.

This is Conquest Knight, my OC for my Creepypasta AU, which I'm pretty sure I'll dub it something along the lines of a Non-Human AU or Humanless AU, because my days. When I was a child, I disliked every Creepypasta that was a human, especially Jeff, Ben, and Toby. Non-human characters are so cool and have so much freedom of character design and personality. I want to see more non-human designs.

Update One: Anyways, the update is I'm still redrawing my old piece of the Slender brothers. Speaking of which, I think I have decided to just make Markus Sinclair my own OC and not an alternate Offender for my AU. Because at this point it's not even remotely close to the original or follows the original design of said character. I feel awful about it.

So once I finish and upload that drawing I'll update all my posts that have Markus in it. However, feel free to send in requests of Offenderman and I'll try and make a design that's close in nature to the character that I'll be happy with, because I am a people pleaser.

Update Two: I am still working on my major project is SCP redesigns, I only have three done outta ten, I'm currently on 106. Like I said, I hate sketching. I hate rendering. I however love doing lineart. This project is going to take a WHILE, and I hate that. I am sorry.

Venting:

Running this blog has caused me so much stress, I know I state primarily that this blog is going to be Creepypasta and SCP based, but honestly. I just want to draw whatever makes me happy at the moment/month.

So to help me de-stress, you'll probably see some content that relates nothing to the two, and I know the last posts before this are also not related to Creepypasta and SCP which bugs me, but I've dug myself a deep pit and I want to get out of this... art block? Burn out? I have no idea what I've been feeling these past few months.

Anyways! This is the end of the post, I'll publish something soon after this, hopefully.

I'm redesigning the way I draw the characters (again) since the current design I gave to them is a little boring to me. And I want to experiment more whit the shapes (and maybe the colors but that's a little bit difficult because all the cast are monochromatic so…). And I'm changing my art style or at least I'm experiment a little bit lol (I saw it boring again)

i didn't reblog the post but I do agree that the terminology for zines has gotten completely twisted.

ON THE OTHER HAND I don't think that selling them for say 20$ (which is what i sell my sketchbooks for) is unreasonable or unfair to still call a zine. I need to cover my costs of printing and the time I put into putting them together. yeah I can TECHNICALLY get a printer and print them myself but with the cost of printer ink and the lack of space its easier for me to just pay for someone to do it professionally but I'm also NOT making them at like....the HIGHEST QUALITY, LIBRARY BOUND, HARD COVER, IT COMES WITH A THOUSAND DOO DADS AND GIFTS. its just sketchbooks ofpreviously existing doodles and a few new sketches or sketches that I had before and colored in. Its essentially like selling a full print but in carryable size with some notes from me.

Its a zine but I call it a sketchbook because the idea of zines has changed for a lot of consumers. Thats not their fault bc those zines or anthologies DID start out in the "lets make a big ol book together because we are all horny for Reigen" kind of thing. A lot of times they're projects made from passion. I HAVE noticed that there's been a turn in the whole process of making them that both stresses out artists, requires kickstarters, and all sorts of shit that should be considered Artbooks. ARTBOOKS have always been on the higher end of things. There's nothing wrong with considering an anthology thats proper bound, and for a certain amount on a kickstarter you get extra things like stickers, charms, whatever.

But zines SHOULD go back to being simple little things. The cost to buy them shouldn't be lost UNLESS the artist wants it to be. If you print at home or using a schools printer and just print a bunch of cute little zines yourself then that should also exist and you can set your price point for whatever you want.

Its all semantics and personal preference at the end of the day but I do think that...yknow it wouldn't hurt if we could start calling the big project 50$ range books that often get run into the ground from bad leadership (or fun stuff like the organizer of the thing runs off with the money to play genshin) ...something other than zine. Like Artbook or Anthology. Or even Collection lol

Zine should be a small thing that you collect for fun and doesn't require a committee, a new discord channel, and a contract to make sure your organizer doesn't run off to play gacha (I'm sorry it still makes me laugh)

ALSO another thing about zines is that often times they were originally made to be alternatives to really closed minded book sellers. Like...its where a lot of the OG star trek fanfic/porn came from. Its a place to have your ideas put down. To explore narratives. Essentially Doujinshi can also be considered A TYPE of zine in that it literally means self published (not NECCESSARILY that its...yknow...bl or waifu porn lol Sometimes its just manga that artists put out before they can get published)

But lately there are a lot of zine projects (again...more actually like anthologies or art collections) that are REALLY REALLY closed minded even when the subject is SHIPPING.

So even the nature of CREATING the zines has changed a lot.

So yeah I agree with that post that I forgot to reblog. My only REAL gripe is that it doesn't mean that you should undercharge your work because you didn't print your zine at home or hand craft it like a youtube diy video. I did enough of that at art school I am not gonna bind a book or try to cut pages ever again if i don't have to lmao. CSP even has a zine preview so I can see the pages in 3d as if they were bound before printing lol

Writeblr Intro, Part Two

Fuck yeah, I’m doing this again, because the other one sucked.

As the URL says, I’m cheeto-flavoured-pasta. Or just Cheeto. Or Pasta. I really don’t care. This was meant to be a strict writeblr-only, but I ditched it halfway through. This is a writeblr account, sure, but I do post/reblog other off-topic things (e.g. memes, rants, politics, etc.). Most of those are tagged under “not writeblr.”

I’m a hobbyist writer hoping to publish officially one day. I’ve hopped around online writing platforms (e.g Tapas or Webnovel; I am very hesitant about using Wattpad, sorry) but currently I’m not very active on many of them. I mostly write science fiction, dystopia (a mix of the two, really), with a side of some fantasy or contemporary works. Genre fiction aside, I occasionally dabble in poetry, be it free-verse, rhyming, or prose poems.

General Concept: After decades of hiding, superhumans are discovered in a corrupt society.

I’ve talked about this one the most, so I won’t babble for long; most of the info can be found on the APS WIP intro. It’s been my longest-running WIP so far, being a trilogy and all, but I’m currently putting it on the backburner for a while to work on other projects.

WIP INTRO

Genre: Sci-fi, dystopia, cyberpunk series

Current status: First draft

General Concept [Book One]: It's been a year since Sylvester Strike woke up in the society of Xenom, where people are augmented cybernetically to accommodate to the work they do for the large companies that run the state — the Reform, everyone calls it. Much like everyone else, his memories are hazy, and all he can trust is the story of whatever government official came before him. The moment he tries to move on and accept his situation, his friend goes missing, and in the process, he’s forced to find out not only the real story of what happened before the Reform, but his own past as well.

I haven’t talked about this one at all, and that’s because there’s still some things left to this idea that I’ve yet to flesh out. Expect to hear a lot more about it once I’ve actually started writing it. I’ll definitely be making a WIP intro at some point in the coming months (hopefully. If I forget, show up to my door and slap me).

Aside from my mess of writing and novels and short stories and whatever shit goes on in my brain, here’s some other things to know about this blog:

I might as well get this out of the way first: this blog is pro-Palestine. Zionists and pro-Israel users, please DNI.

Same goes for racists, sexists, TERFs/transphobes, homophobes, ableists--- bigots of any kind, really. I don't tolerate prejudice.

I'm open to tag and ask games, though do note that just because I don't respond to a tag or ask doesn't mean I don't care; it likely slipped my mind.

Writeblr asks like WBW, STS (Worldbuilding Wednesday and Storytelling Saturday) are also welcome, although I might not send them a lot. Trying to get back in the habit of doing so.

I might also post some of my art here on the occasion (using that dingy side blog doesn't really feel right for me). Still working up the courage to do that, but I might drop a few sketches here and there.

I remember saying that in a day or two I would upload a drawing of Agatha that I was doing, and I was going to do it...but the thing here is...my glasses broke guys, and since I am a tremendous mole, it was difficult for me to have to paint with my face almost on the page, not to mention doing something digitally, at the same time that it is extremely absurd to stick so much to the screen, it is also very harmful, and with my situation I don't want to go from being a mole to being something worse (nothing against moles, In some ways they seem cute to me) but in the end, I don't know how I didn't remember, I started using some spare glasses that I had at home that, although, I'm still almost as blind, they help me see at a considerable distance and allow me to carry out activities as simple as reading or writing without having everything just millimeters from my face.

Now the drawing in question, sorry if it rambled too much lately, it's just that Tumblr has become my safe space to tell the stupid things that happen to me in my daily life, thanks for reading me guys! :D

Here is a version under the light of my night lamp, nothing replaces the natural light of the sun, but it is something in the middle of the night, there is something in Agatha's left hand that makes me feel uncomfortable, but I got very confused with my own sketch and I was too lazy to redraw it, I admit that laziness made me sin there 😔

And then there is this other version now with the normal light in my room, either one or the other I feel that without sunlight it doesn't capture the original drawing as much, but generally it never does so I don't complain.

So yeah...that's all really, because of being partially blind I couldn't draw much, and what I did is not something that deserves to be published since it's not even enough to be a doodle, there are only lines and an attempt to start something that ended up being just that, goodbye everyone, thanks for seeing my stuff 👾

Amazon Self Publishing- Flotsam and Jetsam Book 3 UPDATE:

So, as you might have seen I've had the Kindle version of the scrubbed comic (Accidental MerDer) Flotsam and Jetsam Book 3 up for a month or so now, but no hard copy. This is because Amazon is an asshole who tried to get away with not approving it originally, but when I proved that it is, indeed, my work and I am the one publishing it online, they said I was good to go. But then suddenly every little thing gets flagged, like 'ineligible text' in a spot where it's... not... supposed to be readable he's hallucinating. And no one will respond to me when I email, or tweet, or send in a report. Sooo... there probably isn't going to be a Amazon published book 3, unfortunately. It seems like this is their way of refusing to print it without actually giving me a legit/legal reason why. If you've already ordered copies of the 1st and 2nd books, and really really want a copy of the 3rd I am printing one for myself (and one for someone who specifically requested it!) and I've printed 2 more with some extra sketch pages in the end. These are, obviously, very limited and first come first serve. I'm really sorry about this. :(

That being said, I might put together a omnibus of the first three issues with a bunch of extras if there's enough interest in it. I know most of you have been reading it online, and don't really feel the need to own a published copy. Which is totally understandable! But I thought I'd do a quick interest check anyway. Well, honestly, I was having an AU idea since a pair of years buuut I've pretty busy with college stuff that I could only write ideas and some sketches, but now that I'm a bit free and seeing the GF AU proposals that were coming out, I was able to develop better to finally present to you! Well, here it its...

Fleshbag AU!

"but...what the hell is this about?"

Dipper, in a attempt to stop Weirdmaggedon, makes a deal with Bill to let out his family. But instead it was actually a trap to get rid of him through the memory eraser, a trap that goes totally wrong because the fight between the two entities (Dipper and Bill) cause an Interdimensional Collapse between the three universal planes (Real World, Mindscape and Nightmare Realm). All this the total annihilation of that universe. TOTAL. ANNIHILATION. (jsjs i'm dramatic xd) No mortal survived... except the Henchmaniacs and a being formed (both body and soul) from the remains of Dipper and Bill, called Bips. It retains diffuse memories of thier ancestors but inherited the negative aspects of both, givining them a constant insecurity. All the years go by and after a few years, They meets Axolotl, a powerful extra dimensional deity, watcher of all realities, but at the same time is a relaxed and wise being. Making a lil' deal with Bips, they embark on an edventure to explore different realities, fix thier problems and solve mysteries, in search of a posible cure to restore the Bips's Desolate dimension. As Bips tries to find his identity amidst the "duality" he was formed.

unpopular opinion: he was better than yet another evil team- i said it- the cast already being as big as it is with the dastardlies and the siblings they wouldve made 5 or 6 half baked characters under the time crunch they had that i think it genuinely wouldve made sbr2 worse. favorite image:

Hello, Guilty Gear parent figure! Finally played older games, namely Isuka XX and BOY it's so... Weird on mechanics side because I'm so used to newer ones that are less arcaidy and more newbie friendly, but they're SO fun and have so much content (esp Isuka, I CAN'T get over the option to make your own color pallets and make your own Robo Ky and even named it). And the portraits, the Daisuke art! AHHH it's so good! And the man himself voicind Sol sounds so... Endearing?? Can't wait to get ancient core for lore and and.... Order Sol coughs coughs.

Aaaanyway sorry for dropping it into your asks, just really wanted to share emotions with somebody! And would be cool to know your opinion of older games as preservationist and what's your preference, are older games better or nah and all that!

Yeah! Isuka's got so many interesting/unique features, it's really a shame that none of them came back in a major way... The beat 'em up minigame in particular is one that I wish they'd had more time to polish and put into future games. There's Judgment but it's not quite the same. Isuka's art is AMAZING too. Like, why did that game's art go so hard?? This Sol illustration is of my all time favorites and it's from that game. I think Hiroaki did it but I've never found it with a credit in any of the books:

Daisuke voices Sol in almost all of the games!! He didn't for Overture, Xrd, or Strive but there's an option to use his voice in pretty much all the others. I really like Jouji ("George") Nakata's Sol though, he did a great job voicing him. Hope you enjoy GGXX once you're able to get it!! Order Sol is REALLY fun.

Each GG game is so different, it's hard to say if one is truly "better" than the others... +R is probably my #1 favorite because it's got Order Sol and I enjoy the survival mode, but Strive was my introduction to the series, Xrd has some of my favorite designs (and soundtrack), Overture's so bad it's good (love the lore it gave us too), Missing Link is endearing...

Though I don't care for GGX itself too much, I think that game is probably one of the most important out of all of Guilty Gear. It gave us some of Daisuke's most iconic art, two novels, established the beginning of much of the major canon, and had a lot of spinoff media like the manga and a ton of figures/merch. GGX was the only game to have actual published art books (as opposed to special edition game bonuses) that collected Daisuke's illustrations from that period: Artworks of GGX 2000-2004 and then the updated Artworks of GGX 2000-2007 that included some work from the early part of GGXX. There was an art book for Overture too, but it was almost entirely rough concept sketches (that I don't think were by Daisuke) and not as much illustrative work.

It'll be interesting to see where Strive ends up going. As fondly as everyone looks back on Xrd now, it didn't give us nearly as much media to collect/archive as past games did. Strive is the best selling Guilty Gear by far. I've got my fingers crossed that it'll give us more printed materials like another art book some day.

more burn out posting ahead...

I've been thinking about why it's taken me almost 4 years to finish vol 4 of Music of My Heart. Because that's not typical for me. Sure doing everything myself means things take a while, but this long on one book that's been MOSTLY done for years that I liked working on isn't like me.

It's like my pen feels heavy when I pick it up. Or like I stare at tones when I'm trying to put them on the page and nothing comes naturally. And today I think I pieced it together.

My comic feels like an exercise in futility. I wanted this story to exist, but it's taken me so long to make progress that the world is completely different from the world I started writing it in.

When I started writing the original draft, when I barely even knew what being gay was, I was just shy of 17. Maybe even younger. The story I'm publishing now honestly hasn't changed much from that version. The only difference is when I hit my 20s, I finally felt comfortable taking the QUEER parts out of hiding and pulled those drafts out of the recesses of my old hard drive on my barely functioning, windows 98 running computer. Pulled the concept sketches out that I had been ashamed of and hoped my parents would never find. And that's the version I began drawing in 2015.

At the time I started writing it, and even in 2015 when I started drawing it, I don't think there was too much like it. At least not that I knew of. There still wasn't a lot of queer YA fiction in comic form or otherwise. Sure there was BL out there about teens coming of age but largely not by and for queer people.

I felt like there was a need for it to exist. That I was contributing something to the world if I could finish it.

But now time has passed and the world is SATURATED with stories of YA slice of life and gay first loves and like. I am so happy there's so much out there. It's the world I always hoped would exist, so why am I so sad? I mean I'm crying while I'm typing this. And I straight up don't cry. What the fuck is wrong with me?

I think it's like seeing all this comes with the realization that my work isn't needed anymore. Like I just don't know what the point is in throwing yet another YA story out there like this. I always dreamed of finishing it but now it's just like....Why should this be there taking up space? There's a whole world now of people with platforms and editors and people with real publishing experience like. It just feels like I'm being a fucking moron thinking there's any need for my story to exist. I don't have anything to offer that someone else hasn't offered.

I don't even know what to do with myself. I feel like the world doesn't need anything I was once decent at. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am so depressed. Sorry for being depressing. I'll get over it I just need to get it out

'Molluck is enjoying his time at the Yaymans.'

Just a random sketch-like Molluck thing I did to practice anatomy, lighting, background and perspective stuff. I feel like it's been like a decade since I truly drew something to practice anatomy... I haven't truly practiced anatomy for so long... I tend to just draw and use references when I need but don't really do any practive stuff or studies, that's what I mean. I feel like I truly need to practice more drawing since I feel like I know nothing about anatomy, lighting, colours or perspective stuff...

I have been wondering if I should start doing proper traditional stuff again (I have so much traditional art supplies, many even unused, mostly bought by me...) or/and buy something proper digital art stuff since I'm drawing with a computer mouse and it does restrict me in a certain way, I cannot draw as naturally as I could. My self-hatred has made me feel like I'm just wasting those art supplies if I use them but they are actually wasted when I don't use them. Same thing is with that digital art stuff since I haven't felt like spending money on that stuff, felt like I only draw crappy stuff... I don't even know which one would be better, a drawing tablet or a drawing screen. I had once a crappy drawing tablet for a short time and I didn't really like it but I also have drawn some stuff with an iPad but with a crappy touch pen, so it wasn't ideal either... So, yeah, I don't really know which one I should even choose.

I feel sorry for being like this since I do know what it ain't nice to hear an artist calling their art crappy but I'm so used to feel like so, I suffer from severe self-hatred, for no reason... Since a child, I have heard compliments about my art but it seems like my self-hatred or perfectionism or something has just strongly disagreed, so my self-confidence hasn't truly grown... There somewhere it still touches me to hear if people enjoy my art since it's something unexpected for me. I only wanna be honest and I don't wanna pretend to be any better artist than I actually am.

I'm not totally sure of how to draw Molluck's body but I'm trying my best to learn it since he has such a beautiful body... I just don't get enough of this Gluk... I don't really have much time to draw or any other free time stuff but I just wanted to draw this to admire his body, once more... Yeah, too thirsty for him to let this be... Yeah, like I have said, OWI succeeded to create my 'ideal man' I didn't even know about until I got into him... But yes, I still need to practice drawing him... And yes, I do think that pink suits Molluck!

I still don't know what to do with my art but well, I publish this like this since well, this is just a random practice thing, a bit WIP too since I just don't feel like spending more time on this, too busy for it, need to move on... I wish I had more time to draw so I could truly improve my art... I feel like I'm kinda stuck since I haven't truly practiced for a decade... Just drawn and trusted my eyes.
