So I saw this tweet and thought then and there: Toji's fingers and how deliciously thick they are. Just imagine you always looking at his hands and being in absolute awe every time you look at them...And Toji uses this little infatuation to his advantage, to which you have no complaints.
Tumblr media
A/n: Now I know it seems like I'm stalling my make-up sex Toji fic, but please accept this as a gift from my procrastinating ass (I swear idk what's wrong with me, I'm recently getting back into drawing and trying to relearn everything waaaaaahhh)!! I saw the new trailer and squealed seeing Toji (nothing new, lol), but then that tweet popped up right after, and I noticed how thick they animated his fingers!! So I just ran to my keyboard, and boom! Here we are!! Also, tysm for 400+ followers like???!!! Y'all are far too sweet and kind, ya know that!? Tysm~~~
Cw: dom! Toji x fem! reader - fingering (obvi) - fingers in your mouth - Daddy kink - breast fondling - finger sucking - praise - pet names (angel, baby, darlin', good girl, kiddo, sweetie, sweetheart) - clitoral play (pushed down by finger)- mention of violence (reason for Toji's scars) - ends with overstimulation (fem! receiving).
Wc: 1.5k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is no doubt that you love Toji unconditionally and blatantly. That is the truth. There's no denying he isn't an ideal man; both of you understand that. He has many flaws that you're perfectly aware of. Yet despite said imperfections, you choose to stick beside and love him as if he's worthy (which baffles the older, tall man).
There are many things you love about Toji. But if you could pick one thing you loved about Toji, it would be his hands. When he holds them, your hand is dwarfed by his big palm. When he pulls you close to him by the waist when you two are in a crowded area. Or when he cups your face and kisses you before leaving for hitman work.
Palms are rugged and large that effortlessly warm you up. Fingers calloused and decorated with faded scars that each hold a story. Veins that stem from the bulky arms contour all the way down to the back of his palms.
His hands. His big, rough, warm, and scarred hands. You love them so much. And you're not the only one who knows this.
Toji is no fool. He can sense your eyes observing him from across the room as he's washing the dishes from the kitchen. He doesn't have to lift his head to see you on the living room couch where you're supposedly reading something on your phone. But it was apparent your attention wasn't on the small screen in your hands.
"Whatcha lookin' at me for?" Again, not looking at you and finishing the dishes. His scarred lip twists into a smile when you cough nervously before responding.
"Oh, you know. Just looking at my man being so handsome washing those plates." You internally sigh in relief, saving yourself with a quick excuse.
Now Toji looks and grins at you, placing the last plate into the dish rack and drying his hands before walking up to the couch to sit comfortably beside you. His left arm is positioned behind your shoulders, bringing you closer to him. Your heart skips a beat.
Toji grabs the TV remote to change the channel to something interesting, probably sports or some sitcom. Not that you care, because you just watch his fingers press on the channel buttons and place the remote back onto the coffee table. His right hand then moves to his chin to scratch the slight stubble, and your orbs trace the outlines of the tiny scars that harbor on Toji's knuckles. He never entirely told you how those faded tissues came to be, but he'd say that he came out way better than the guy on the other side of his fists ("Fucker had it comin', sweetie. Shouldn't bring a knife to a fist fight.")
Despite coming from such rough events, you don't mind the scars on his fingers. If anything, they make his hands even more attractive to look at.
"Somethin' wrong with my hand, kiddo?"
Uh oh. Your eyes drift to Toji's face, sharp green eyes leer at you, and a smirk is plastered with a mischievous expression. I got caught!
"No, nothing's wrong with them." You place your phone on the coffee table, and your hands move up to grab hold of Toji's hand resting on his chin. "They're...I just like looking at them."
Toji lifts a brow as he hums, removing his hand from your grasp and placing it on your cheek. A big thumb lays on top of your plump lips. "Is that right, darlin'? Ya like my fingers, yeah?"
You nod sheepishly while turning into putty when his fingers squeeze your cheeks with affectionate warmth. The left hand that once rested on your shoulder snakes down to your chest, and small gasp results from the sudden grasp on your soft mound.
"You want Daddy's fingers, baby?" He asks while massaging your breast, lowering his head to your ear so his gruff voice makes you shudder. You answer him with hooded eyes and a wistful nod, his eyes narrowing slightly at the blissful sight. "Lay down fr' me then."
You follow his instructions as he spreads his legs, your upper body resting on his right thigh while the other stations your ass for him. He whistles before rubbing and kneading your ass, while your breathing becomes irregular when he removes your leggings, revealing your panties.
The position limits your view, so you use your senses to feel his fingers teasing from your spine down to the wet spot on your underwear. Your shivers aren't missed by Toji. He laughs. "Gonna be a good girl and let me use my fingers on ya, right, angel?"
"Yes, Daddy." Toji sneers at the title and slides your panties down, your pretty pussy glistening for him to see. Your breath hitches when you feel his left ring finger nestle between your folds. The thick digit slowly but surely makes its way inside you, and a short squeal leaves you when it's entirely within. "Relax, princess. Bein' so good fr' me right now." The older man coaxes you as your cunt adjusts to the finger, his right hand caressing your cheeks for comfort. He pushes the finger further when your breathing returns to a steady rhythm.
Even with the sound from the television present, Toji only listens to the mewls you let out every time he pushes and pulls his thick digit inside you, rubbing on the walls of your tight slit. He enjoys the view of your bare ass and cunt for him to see and toy with, silently humming to himself when listening to your cries of pleasure.
When he feels as though you've adjusted to his ring finger, his middle finger brushes between the lips of your pussy, prompting you to clench hard on him. He laughs at your reaction, "Easy, sweetheart. I know you can take more of me." Toji sneaks his middle between your wet cunt, and a giant gasp quits your body as your hands grip his grey sweatpants. The soft pants from your open mouth fill the room, only for Toji to insert another pair of fingers into your mouth. "It's okay, cry on these hands you love s' much."
And that's all you could do as you let the man bully your poor pussy, your mouth sucking on his right fingers in your mouth while his left-hand abrade your insides. Thick digits stretch your aroused hole, causing your heart to race and your skin to heat up.
"Mmmm, Mmmph!" Words are muffled, and a scream is prevented when you can feel the digits make a 'come hither' motion. The tips of his fingers scrape your velvety walls, your brain turning fuzzy while tears and drool render your face from the stimulating abuse you're going through.
His fingers slide in and out of your slick-covered pussy faster, and you accidentally bite on the digits in your mouth. But Toji doesn't mind, for he knows he's making you feel so fucking good. "Yer grippin' on me so hard, sweetie." His fingers switch to a slow pace, making sure the pads of his two fingers tantalizingly graze your hypersensitive sex. "Gonna come on Daddy's fingers?"
Finally, Toji frees your mouth. Heavy pants exit your lips pooled with drool, saliva from your mouth coats his right middle and forefinger that retreat to holding your face once more. "Yesss, Daddy. Haaaah, I wanna come on y— Aaahh!! F-fingers..."
How can he deny you when your tearful eyes beg for release? His emerald orbs go dark in hunger, and his grin widens with his teeth emerging from under his scar.
The rough digits in your cunt quicken in reckless haste, forcing out moans to fill the room yet again. The middle and ring fingers assault the gushy walls deep inside your squelching cunt, the noises on par with the thrilled whimpers that exit your mouth.
And Toji uses this to distract you from his forefinger aligning with your clit. When the index finger comes down and swipes around the tender bud, your moans turn into electrified screams, hands gripping the man's leg holding you up. With the erratic pace of the two fingers deeply scraping your pussy, along with the forefinger pressing down on your clitoris, your orgasm hits you with no warning.
You chase out your climax with a euphoric sob, walls fluttering around the fingers responsible for your hips stuttering. After a few moments, your body relaxes onto Toji's legs which keep you still. His right-hand rubs circles on your back.
"Did so good, darlin'." He praises you, and it ends with you blissfully dozing off on his lap.
...Or so you thought.
Because it hasn't been a full minute before he starts moving his fingers in your wet vulva yet again, the abrupt movement pushing out choked cries from your throat. You send Toji a confused look which is answered with his childish smirk.
"Oh, sorry, sweetheart," No, you're not! He's absolutely not. The speed of his fingers getting faster proves it, your sensitive clit getting overstimulated by his forefinger brushing against it. "But don't think I'd let you come just one time. Make a mess on my fingers, baby. Make 'em real dirty like you."

Hey, do you use your physical sketches to draw? If so how do you render them, I’m relearning to do so but yeah
First off, sorry taking so long to answer this! But yes! A lot of the art I'm posting here is drawn traditionally and then I'm coloring them in digitally. Here's a quick step-by-step of what I mean for anyone who's curious:
Here's what the art initially looks like before any editing. All my drawings are usually relatively small, I'm doing all of these out of an office notebook with some office pens
Tumblr media
First thing I do is adjust the image in my phone's photo settings. The only three things I usually do are increase the brightness, the contrast, and get rid of all the saturation
Tumblr media
Then I go into IbisPaint X, usually touch up the image a bit to get rid of any errors or shadows that weren't already covered with the initial adjustments, and then I duplicate the photo, set the duplicate to multiply, and start a new layer in between both like so:
Tumblr media
It's pretty simple! I'm not the biggest fan of making digital art (just too tricky) but there's no denying that if you just want some plain colors on the picture, there's no easier way to do so.

@black-occamy here again 🖤
Oh, amazing Artist! Would you be so kind to share some tips for absolute crap beginners?
Love 😘
Helloooo~☆ I took a moment to type this out a little bit ago and to tweak and edit as I saw fit so ty for waiting.
Ok ok so here's Crap Tips for Crap Beginners:
Stop calling yourself "crap, bad, and trash" when first starting out. - You wanna improve and have the drive to make art and feel satisfied at the end of a drawing? Then give yourself the positive reinforcement that most pups need in learning a new skill and trick. Treats and good pets and "nice jobs!" The whole world will fight against you, they'll try to beat you down and tell you what you do and how you do it doesn't matter. You've got to tell them to stick that where the sun doesn't shine. Aggressively support yourself - fake it till you make it etc etc. Pretend everything you do is intentional until you see yourself making more intentional decisions with your artwork.
With the pep talk out of the way - Warming Up is so important. Just like athletes and dancers do beforehand, you need to stretch your hands and arms and shoulders. And then you need to have a healthy back posture if possible. Draw with your whole arm and not just your wrists and fingers. Aaaand then you need to get the squiggles out. By that I mean make marks on your medium/paper/tablet. Little hatch marks, boxes, circles, tornados, silly emoji faces! When learning to draw, there will be 100 bad drawings before you reach a single good one, is what my college professor would say. And damn was he good.
If you can't draw something well or easily then you need to draw it again and again and again.... and again. I was really struggling to draw hands and feet! So I took pictures of my own hands, of my friends' hands, saved pictures from online, etc and made studies of them. Just paid extremely close attention to what I was actually looking at (and not what I thought hands where supposed to appear as). I also studied medical anatomical diagrams on hands to learn the bones, muscles, and tendons in the hands! It's very important!!! Studying can be applied to anything: cars, plants, animals, braids, fabric textures....
You have to refresh your lessons - once you do a study it doesn't permanently install into your brain for you to copy/paste whenever you need it. You have to revisit and keep that muscle memory in your hands for when you go to draw. I fall out of practice ALL the time and need to dedicate time to relearn how to draw things. And this isn't because I'm failing or wasting away as an artist, it's just a simple fact that I lost a little bit of my artist muscle mass and need to work out those muscles again. See?
You don't need fancy tools to draw, but they do help. I always break it down to the simplest form of sticks and mud. You can draw with pencils, twigs, charcoal, paint, on paper, in the dirt, in the sand, on canvas, on your phone, on a tablet. On and on it goes. Have the tools you need so you don't hinder yourself but don't hold back because you need to 'wait for the latest and greatest tech.' Why wait? Brush packs will not instantly make you a better artist, my dude. Printer paper and a sharpened pencil will take you miles.
And that's honestly it! Generally all good tips to keep in mind for when you're first starting. Some of these I have to also remind myself. I get down on my abilities and need the reminders too. Getting down to the basics is really important. Stretch, practice, stay strong, and oh! Also take breaks. ✨️

How are we doing this
So, I decided to learn Japanese again. How will I do that?
Well, one thing that needs to be noted is that I already used to learn Japanese, once a upon a time. I think I used to be N3 level, but it kind of all fell apart because:
a) My bachelor's and (first) master's degree used to be in Japanese studies, and when you are learning a language like that, you are rarely learning just the language. Chances are, you are also learning about the culture of the language, the society in which it is predominantly spoken, art, literature, history (boy, did we have a lot of history courses), geography (we actually had to remember each and every name of every region and prefecture AND we had to be able to draw a map of Japan and mark each region and prefecture). The point is, you have a lot of things to do that are NOT learning the language.
b) The pandemic and online classes. That is all I will say on this, You understand.
c) I was stressed with coursework and life to the point I could not sleep and it sucked.
I am not making excuses for myseld (well, maybe a bit), but the thing is, I needed a break. And that break lasted for about 2 and a half years. So yeah, your language skills kind of evaporate when you don't use the said language often. It helps when you have literally no one to practice it with too. Go figure.
SO, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS?
The point of this is to say that I already have experience with Japanese language, meaning, I do not need to relearn hiragana and katakana because muscle memory. I also do not need to learn some basic phrases, like "good morning" or "I'm hungry". I also realized that I have some knowledge hiding in the mental basement of my mind that I just need to take out, blow the dust off and reactivate it.
Thus, I decided on the following approach.
Assume I don't remember anything and start from the top. The thing is, I don't know what I don't know until I come face to face with a specific word, grammar, kanji, whatever. We are going through everything, no matter how insignificant or simple it may seem.
Do not rely on apps alone. Phone is too accessible so it is tempting to assume I will just use one of the many designated apps whenever I have the time. I mean, I will, when I feel like it. But relying on just the apps and my impulse control (I've been kiiinda obsessed with NYT games, to the point of unhealthy) is not good enough.
Textbook, textbook, textbook. We used to use Minna no Nihongo in classes, but I decided I am a bit bored of Santos and the spoon and other peopel (if you used Minna no Nihongo, you know what I'm talking about. If you saw the video, extra points to you.), so I decided to try Genki. So far, so good. The tempo is a bit different, but I enjoy it.
As for the apps, we shall use the following (I have an Android, mind you): Akebi (for dictionary, very colorful, able to add words and kanji directly to Anki), Anki (flashcards, though I have been lazy with this one), Clozemaster (I like this one, has grammar explanations, game-like, colloquial Japanese, very nice), Hello Talk (when I get brave enough).
Practice listening. I have to start watching YT videos for this because when I just listen to music I get distracted by the vibes so I don't even try to figure out what the song is about.
That's it for now I guess. Have to get brave enough to try speaking/texting in Japanese, and practice listening. Reading is so far good, writing too, I am pretty confident I could pass N5 test, but let's finish Genki textbooks first, just so I can say I actually know something, that I'm not just guessing and getting lucky.
Good luck to me.

18 day habit tracker
Tumblr media
since the year started, days are passing by and sure I'm doing alright and getting stuff done but lately it just. feels like I'm whiling away a lot of my time which which I could spend learning or doing a lot of things that I've kept shelved for years. I want to make better use of my days and I want to understand how to kind of... develop the intrinsic motivation to improve my productivity. additionally, I also need to do things to take better care of my help given the harsh weather and my ankle (im)mobility.
so I've decided to spend the next 18days trying to be more conscious of how I'm spending my time and also trying to push myself little by little. in this eighteen days I want to figure out what my limits are (vs what I think my limits are) and I also want to understand how to stay consistent and maintain the momentum I need to keep going. eighteen seems like a small enough number to start with; from some surface web scouring it seems like 18days is the minimum number of time it takes to develop a habit. and coincidentally enough it's my birthday in exactly 18days so it seems like a good place to start
to track
🥛 water intake ⏰ hours of sleep +sleep and wake times 📵 phone usage 🍉 fruit intake +the kind of food I'm eating in gen 📖 reading
---
personal goals
🧮 relearning math my relationship with mathematics has been quite messy since junior college and it has only worsened through the past four years of engineering(with the introduction of multivariate calculus and Laplace transforms and whatnot)... it feels kind of late and embarrassing to start now but I really want to understand math better and enjoy doing it and now is a good time to face my fear/discomfort and start over at the very basics. I'm gonna start with precalculus and linear algebra
💃 dancing I used to dance all the time as a kid and then... i don't know what happened... as a lover of kpop choreographies it's heartbreaking to realize I haven't learnt nearly as many dances as I'd have liked to. The year started off pretty strong but then my ankle got in the way and... yeah... I want to get back into dancing both as a means to improve my mobility and as a means of exercise, and also because I enjoy dancing in gen... and four to five days seems like good enough time to learn a single dance so i hope to learn the choreography of atleast 3-4 dances in these 18days
✏ art I have wanted to learn drawing for years now but for some reason I just never seem to get around to it (the 'some reason' being my impatience and inability to accept that I'm actually a beginner) but yknow what. if I'm anyway going to feel bad about how poor I am at drawing, I might as well do it while drawing poorly instead of trying to avoid it. I've decided to use this youtube playlist as my starting point
🍳 cooking for someone who is planning to live abroad and live alone I can't cook to save my life, but putting that aside, the main reason I want to cook is that a lot of my favourite regional cuisine is centered towards dishes for the winter and I want to learn to make tasty + nutritional food suitable for this summer heat without resorting to consuming excessively sugared juices and soda in copious amounts
---
yeah. day1 starts today. I hope it works out. my weekly tracker and my work tracker will also be updated in parallel

various thoughts on various things.
1. wow the phillies really crumbled didn't they. i think i'd be more upset about it if the writing hadn't been on the wall, the bye was never gonna work for us. a team that struggled batting and pitching the first two weeks and the two weeks after all stars was never gonna survive having a pre-post-season break. post-season doesn't give you two weeks to adjust. i hustled to get the clinch fic out because i could feel it in my stomach, and there was no scenario where i would finish writing it now, you know? oh well. now it's time to switch gears, the san jose sharks would never do this to me. (a team that can't make the playoffs also can't lose in the playoffs)
2. i've been thinking about making another ao3 account. for visual stuff. in my grand dreams i recommit to my old more traditional hobbies but realistically i suppose it would be a way to post moodboards or edits or whatever to ao3 collections. i think relearning how to draw and paint and whatever would be nice, but it feels far out to me. i should start closer. more realistic. either way i wanna do more visually creative stuff, i've been doing other things lately and i'd hate to get really rusty.
3. changed my phone bg from bryson and trea to 2ne1. you know, for the winter. trying to convince myself it's not a reactionary move, the baseball bgs were just really summery and i wanted change for the fall and winter, but didn't wanna change them before the season was over. love just my girls. tomorrow i'm gonna watch a bunch of fancams from the concert i think. remember when fancam meant a fan recorded video of a performance? i don't know what the fuck happened. i don't know what fandom took a thing the kpop fans were doing and changed the definition of it entirely. baffles me to this day.
4. i've been fiddling with the 52 weeks sequel a lot again, i think working on something that i know where it's going and i have a lot of plans and notes for but no concrete deadline or pressing need to get out there is really nice. im trying to figure out what the scope is, if i wanna go over the original timeline. because i do have scenes past it, i have notes spanning years past it, but i don't know how far i'm trying to get with the sequel and if it's something that's gonna get a third and fourth and fifth parts. i haven't really thought about it that hard. and if i decide it's the sequel, for the original "duration" and nothing else, what am i gonna do with all the stuff i've already written and planned out? i don't know.
i think that's all for right now.

Oh wow! I wasn't expecting you all to like the mcd sona so much!!! But I'm so happy you do!! Thank you to everyone for the compliments and have a garroth in return!
Tumblr media
(I just got my laptop back so I'm relearning how to render on csp bare with me lmfao)
Also!! Some of you showed interest in me making a minecraft roleplay of my own!!!!! I'm posting about it day to day on tik tok but!! If yall want to hear about it here I'll make posts!!
So under the cut has some info on that in the mean time! To see if anyone has any intrest ^^
I do not know what to call it rn so it has the temporary name of 'Villiage Tributes' which I hate but I suck at titles lmfaoo
Character design stuff and their info is at the bottom for now I'll talk about what I know I want video formatting and general universe lore wise ^^.
Video Format:
-whole the main focus will be on the storytelling there will be some just general playing minecraft aspects! Like the getting materials and building, because I liked a small amount of those ya know! And no one includes them at all anymore. :(
-audience feedback will be a HUGE part! Mainly in things like end pairings and junk so long as it doesn't compromise the writing ^^
-while the main medium will be well-minecraft lolol, I would want to have some scenes/ Intros be done with art/animatics!!! To make up for some parts where minecraft may lack the proper ommf lmfao (like when a important character in introduced the first scene will be drawn to better show off character designs and junk!
Universe Lore:
-it will be kind of a skyrim kingdom build- where there is a major central city and leader, and a bunch of regional lords as well, maybe like a council thing? Oh?
-there are currently 3 major love interests! (For the mc) they will get individual posts but here are just the uh, biggest tropes? With them?
-Guard x Noble (come on i- how can I not?? Mcd or not it's necessary for medival fantasy come ON)
-Flirt Hopeless romantic x oblivious (it's cute trust me)
-Villian x hero (i- come on come ON)
Also!!! There's a possibly poly options!!!! (Not with the villian so sorry lads)
-this is taking place directly after a giant Civil War for the rights of Animal and Magic Folk! So the world we enter in is currently recovering and rebuilding and has gone through MASSIVE social and legal changes!
-we won't be originally starting off in a village! We will be starting in something more of a camp/ settlement? And ontop of everything we will be going through the process of getting it legally recognized as a village!!
Character designs and some info!
Mc
Tumblr media
Yeah, I know, I never promised I wouldn't be cringe. Most of

Art dump 👍(16 drawings, roughly chronological)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
first/second digital drawing on PC! been using ibispaint since birth. I used to constantly be like "oh drawing on your phone isn't that hard it just takes practice!" like girl you're not gonna know that you're in hell if you were born there 😭
Art fight for ritterdoodles oc, Calaca, my favorite art fight from this year. First digital drawing in half a year, then immediately forgot how to do line art afterward and stopped drawing digitally for another half a year.
Steven at his desk, tried to replicate the shading from my art fight attack but… lord it's kinda ugly
trying rendering out on PC for the first time, eurgh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sketch for a fake Daredevil comic cover? Looks like I'm the floor and he's about to death-drop on me
a sketch for a comic about daredevil being emo and being like “No… I only work alone...” Moon Knight and spider-man are there of course
Harvey from Stardew! My go-to spouse, going for Krobus in my current save though. Practice for a school club, I'm making pixel art for our game! large gap between this and the previous one
I like this drawing a lot and drew it specifically for Instagram, but I don't want to post it there because Peter B. looks pregnant. I NEED to practice drawing chubby people
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Digital rendering attempt #2. mmph. its questionable. tried really hard on the composition too lol
steven and layla in their hero suits but they're also in dresses... muah... this was very hard to draw I do not know how to draw two people looking at each other without them looking flirty
spider miku comic book cover! drew it to try and relearn digital art! her webs are music notes! large gap between this and the pervious one
trying to reteach myself line art, halfway through I realized it kinda looks like that "all or nothing" Tumblr post and stopped in fear
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
large gap between this and the others. I was digitally lining a sketchbook spread and had to crunch out some lineart warmups because I was struggling so hard, idk why lineart is so stressful for me lol
this is gorgeous this made digital art click for me again I love layla shes so pretty shes my wife
realized if I wanna do lineart warmups I should do... just lineart... wow. I'm like plato.
tried to recreate the beauty of number two, not same vibe but still very pretty!!!
hmu for commissions 😘deviant art points only tho <//3

Why I Hate Working Digitally in School: A Vent
Tablets are fucking expensive and useless to me. I have a phone and a laptop at home, and tablet adds literally nothing. I'm not bringing my damn laptop to school tho wtf, and my phone isn't good for school work. So, I'm lending a device from the school. It's a laptop but you can fold it over and use it like a tablet. Nifty, but also heavy as fuck. I always go by bike. I'm seriously questioning how to get up the steep parts with this heavy-ass bitch in my backpack.
Also, I'm accustomed to paper. I know how to write on paper. When I try to write digitally, it just moves the screen around at first and then draws lines where i Do Not Want Them. Sometimes it lags. It's incredibly inconvenient to write on. And exams are atill on paper! Some teachers are literally having us practice certain things on paper so we won't have to relearn that during a literal exam when writing a several pages long essay!! Why can't I just do that all the time then???
Plus, I have my methods. My special little methods to keep the gremlin brain from drifting off during class. I need something to do with my hands, or my brain will find stimulation itself--in form of very elaborate daydreams, which means I won't notice shit of what the teacher says. So, I doodle on my pages. I cannot doodle digitally. I will literally not be able to follow the lesson. Not for long. Try to tell a teacher that you need to do something else to be able to pay attention tho, smh. (I have a spinner ring now tho, it's really neat, might drag the inevitable loss of attention out a few more minutes maybe)
And in addition, I have to load the device every day. I'm a forgetful person. There will come a day when I forget and the device will shut off in the middle of class. Can't happen with paper! Also, my digital writing is illegible (it's maths, the formulas (?) don't go with the keyboard). How am I supposed to learn like that, huh?
I GAIN NOTHING. I LOSE A FUCKING LOT. PAPER RULES PAPER IS SUPERIOR PAPER IS WONDERFUL. WHY

Hihi 😃👋🏾
Air: What’s the easiest part of writing for you?
Rock: How do you deal with writer’s block?
Hi, gaymergal! ☺️
Air: what's the easiest part of writing for you?
Hmm planning a fic, because all it takes is a spark of an idea and then the whole thing spirals very very quickly and often grows a chapter outline almost immediately after. As for the actual writing process, it's binge-typing the first draft because I don't have to think, I just have to have a daydream of the scene and then I just describe it as best as I can, following fluid thought tangents and skipping parts I don't have the words for yet. I can knock out about 5-12K a day at this stage if the mood is right - it's very very messy but it's there and that's what matters!
Rock: How do you deal with writers block?
Hm so my block usually tries to creep in between chapters that I know are necessary but I'm not super enjoying writing. To beat writers block before it can fully kick in, I can normally rollover from finishing one chapter to writing the next by a simple but effective process:
1) as soon as the chapter is 'finished', i open up my master/plan doc and rewrite the bulletpoint plan for that chapter as a summary of main events and details instead. Any new information about characters or places gets updated in my self-made info lists too (makes it so much easier to control-F search facts, especially in huge multi-series fics)
2) i immediately edit the next chapter bulletpoint to flow from the previous chapter better; sometimes it's a complete change that effects more chapters or the whole plotline and sometimes it's barely anything.
3) i immediately set up and format the new chapter, copying in the (revised) bulletpoint plan and separating it out into sections
4) i trick myself into starting to binge write the main text! By splitting the bulletpoint into sections, a big chapter becomes bite size so it's easier to think 'ill do this bit' and then follow it with 'may as well do the next one too' and, before you know it, you're at the bottom.
5) When the first draft is done, I swap to my phone to edit using my predictive keyboard and the chapters roll over like that!
For writers block that comes from a break from fic writing and then getting back into an 'old' or 'abandoned' story... I focus on remembering what made me happy about it, what i was so excited to get to and write and post. When I stop writing, it's usually because I'm too busy IRL, my interest jumps to another thing, or... I get burnt out. To draw myself back, once I have the time and space (and we should all take as long as we want or need, fanfic is supposed to be fun so, writers, please don't torture yourself with guilt!) I end up looking over comments left by readers and my favourite unwritten scenes. If I'm overwhelmed by a project, then it's vital that I relearn how to take it step by step (finish this scene first, then this chapter, this plot device, this arc.. this fic, then move to the next part, etc etc)... Basically, remember to be gentle with yourself, keep that spark of excitement alive, and don't be above tricking yourself into binge writing lmao!
Thanks for playing! ✨

Ok first of all, make peace with the art being bad. You're not going to get masterpieces every time, and some are going to be straight up hideous, and that's completely okay. It's about the process, the meditative feeling of concentrating on something fun, the fine motor skills you're developing, the joy in creation. And I know that's easier said than done because I'm a raging hypocrite so if that bothers you, pick a forgiving and inexpensive craft that's fixable, like acrylic painting.
craft side of pinterest and youtube have been incredibly inspiring resources
I started taking arts and crafts a little more seriously when I wanted to customise my things, like my shoes, my phone case, making a stupid little fat cat keychain for my bag that makes me smile every time i see it
The biggest barrier to arts and crafts tends to be the amount of energy needed for setting up and cleaning up after, so it's probably best to start with something easy to grab, like doodling on a post it pad.
once you find joy in something it really snowballs from there, i started from doodling on textbooks in class and at this point i can draw, paint, sculpt, crochet, embroider, sew and needle felt, all kind of badly but I have a lot of fun, and im gonna learn/relearn how to knit once my needles arrive in the mail.
in your 20s you must rediscover the joys of arts and crafts to stave off spiritual decay

Heya! Mod here to update you on what's going on with me!
So to start off, the semi-permanent hiatus was due to stress. I've had art burnout for a while at that point and I needed a break without thinking about getting back to here.
Second, I needed to catch up on another blog. So that's taken care of. Also, I was working on them from my phone, which takes longer.
Third, I'm still studying for my last GED test. It's still a pain but not as much since relearning some concepts and then remembering that I already know how to do it.
Finally, last, I'm preparing for school. I'm going to a special school for people who are neurodiverse. I'm autistic so there aren't many resources for adults with autism. But this school was made for those with autism. Instead of teaching classes you take in college, it teaches those on the spectrum how to be independent, get a job, and socialize. And I really, really, hope that it's a perfect match for me.
So, that's what's been going on with me. I hope to return ASAP. Might end up doing a drawing challenge for October and then finding one for December.
ANYWAYS, I hope you all have a good rest of your week!

Here's a bit of a fun story!
I originally began drawing on a hand me down Galaxy Note 4. It was my introduction to digital art, and is what made art a hobby of mine, since I no longer needed paper and crud to do it. Fortunately, my sister already had some experience in digital art, since she's more of an artist, and had already stepped into digital art a bit on her computer, and she used a free program called "Medibang Paint Pro". Turns out, the "Pro" part of its name was simply to differentiate it, from it's mobile counterpart! Medibang Paint. After learning about it, I downloaded it, and began using, and I still use it to this day!
I obviously sucked at drawing at first, cause I wasn't much of an artist prior, and I originally just used random resolution. Starting with Skizzy however, I began to use the "Medibang Cover Size" setting at my resolution. This is the resolution most of Skizzy's, and Junk-Watt's artwork was drawn in, until their final revisions.
But at some point, this resolution began feeling too small for me, so I wanted to double it. Unfortunately, my Note 4 couldn't handle that, which I thought was due to the aging hardware. So of course, I couldn't do it.
At some point in 2021, the Note 4 began to suffer hardware issues, and slowdowns, so I knew it was time to get a new device. Unfortunately, the Note 4 left some pretty big shoes to fill! Cause it had an SPen (Basically a Wacom pen), and an AMOLED display! And I only had a budget of $200, which I got from selling my old computer to a friend. After doing mountains of research, I had 2 options: A Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (LCD), or a Galaxy Tab S4 (AMOLED) To say this decision was tough, is an understatement. Newer tablet, with an LCD, or older tablet with the same display as the Note 4. The S6 had the advantage of being newer, so it'd likely last longer, actually get Android updates (S4 was no longer supported), and the SPen would be better.
In the end, I went with the S4 thanks to the screen, and it being a 4 like the Note 4 it was replacing. It also cost less, so I charged my friend $150 instead, since the whole point of selling the computer was just to fund the Note 4s replacement.
Anyways, it came just in time! Prior to it's arrival, I transferred all my drawings project files to an SD card, and the day after it arrived... my Note 4 went to the Electronics Store in the sky... or in other words, it stopped booting. I was using a custom ROM, so I know it wasn't something to do with Samsung.
It took a bit of time to adjust drawing on a tablet, since before, I'd sit back in my chair, hold my phone with my right hand, and draw with my left, while I now had to put the tablet on my desk and draw like that, which required a LOT of relearning! Especially thanks to the much bigger size! After that however, I did a test, and drew at double resolution! Lo and behold, that tablet did it effortlessly! It felt like drawing at 1x resolution on the Note 4! So that became my standard resolution!
--
So, why am I telling this long story? Cause I was a complete and utter idiot, and didn't truly understand it until today.
My Note 4 was an absolute CHAMP for effortlessly handling the resolution I was drawing at on it. Why? Cause I was drawing at over 2K resolution. 2100x2800
So what does this mean for my current drawings? THEY'RE DRAWN AT 5K RESOLUTION!!! 4200x5600
For context, I have a 1080p monitor. Here's the original resolution I was drawing at, VS my monitor. The visible part is my monitors resolution, while the dotted square is the full image.
Tumblr media
That's roughly triple the size of my monitor! Now this is what my current drawing resolution looks like!
Tumblr media
How the hell can my tablet handle that??? I have a 4K TV, and not even THAT could show the full image without scaling it!!! My tablet handles dozens of 5K layers per project, without even batting an eye! Every time it lagged, I thought it was weak, but no! I'm just drawing at an absolutely nonsensical resolution!! And keep in mind, I almost never have a single drawing take up the whole screen!
This has made me appreciate my Note 4 and Tab S4, so much more. Thank you Note 4, for handling dozens of 2K drawings, and I'm so sorry for thinking you were weak when you weren't able to handle a 5K drawing. And thank you Tab S4, for handling 5K drawings like an absolute champ!

This isn't much, but since I haven't been able to draw much since breaking my laptop, I wanna show how... Poorly relearning how to draw on my phone is-
Tumblr media
Uh, apparently my mind and hand is much more used to a large screen, and this is messing with it-
Maybe it's time I get used to using a stylus again and hope for the best lol
This isn't much, it's a shit anatomy pose that I lightly cleaned up then gave up on, but I wanted to show I'm at least trying? At least one of the hands looks ok, maybe I should take this time to try and get better at stuff like that-
Or maybe even try traditional again-
Anyway, uh enjoy ig? Criticism always welcome lol

Chapter 1
Time is a confusing thing. When you want it to go by fast, the slower it goes. Then it ends up flying by when you least expect it. I can't have my way with time, everything I do revolves around it. It never goes my way. I'm forced to sit here and listen to lectures when I know everything. It doesn't really make much sense to me. That's why I'm sitting here doodling on my paper. This is what I enjoy, I don't like relearning everything that i already know.
"Ashley?" Mrs. Smith called out, bringing me from my thoughts.
"Ma'am?" I ask. She put her hands on her hips and everyone in the lecture hall turned around to look at me.
"Can you tell me the diagnosis of the patient if these are their symptoms?" She pointed to the smart board that held the symptoms.
I looked them over. Headache, nausea, dizziness upon standing, reoccurring stomach pains and fatigue.
"Pneumonia." I told her.
"Very well, if it's a child under 16, how serious is it?"
"Slightly. But you should take careful precautions and treat it within twenty four hours of diagnosis." I recant.
"Very good." She smiled at me and continued on lecturing.
I went back to my drawing, looking it over. I could have majored in art, but the only things I really know how to draw is Hello Kitty and SpongeBob. This is a picture of spongebob and I'm just adding little bubbles around him. I didn't really want to be here, I hate the lecture hall.
"Okay class, that's it for today. Don't forget to do your homework. Pages 373 & 374, problems 1-25. All due when you come back to class." She announced.
Every got up and packed their things, heading out of the building. I waited behind slowly, not wanting to be caught up in the crowd. I tended to like being lonely, so it didn't matter. When everyone was almost gone, I decided to put my things away.
"Ashley, can I speak to you for a minute?" Mrs. Smith asked, standing behind the desk at the front of the room.
"Yeah, but I have work in like twenty minutes." I warned her as I passed through the aisle of desks and descended down the stairs.
"It won't take that long." She promised with a smile.
As I got closer down, she picked up a stack of papers. Holding them out to me, I grabbed them when I was close enough.
"What's this?" I asked, starting to flip through them.
"You don't pay attention in class, and I've noticed. It's like your off into space or something all the time. And when it comes down to taking a test, you do very well. Your grades are magnificent, the highest in the class." She admitted.
"That's great. So what's the problem?" I asked, handing her back the papers.
"You're grades are too good. Material that I taught last week, you didn't even listen. But when you got the test you made a 97." She handed me the paper.
"Why am I getting in trouble if I have good grades? I know all this, it's simple." I argued back.
"It's not. You seem stressed or distracted lately. On the back of the test you drew, not really showing any enthusiasm about finishing." She turned the paper over, revealing my messed up dragon I tried to draw. I didn't understand, she wasn't making any sense.
"If I'm making good grades, then that's good." I sighed and gave her back the paper.
"The question is how do you do it?" She asked.
"Wait, you think I might be cheating?" I was appalled.
"No. I'm simply saying, with your schedule including work, where do you find the time to know all this." She said, her voice was all calm and collected while I wanted to scream out. I kept it in, I wouldn't argue with her anymore. I looked down at my phone, 8 minutes before I have to be in for work.
"I have to go." I bluntly told her, turning around and walking away.
"We're going to have to finish this talk later." She commanded.
"Okay." I rolled my eyes, even though I was pretty sure she couldn't see it.
I walked from the building and out to the parking lot. Opening the back door and throwing my books in the back. I only had 5 minutes left and I've never been late for work. I'm one of the few people who will actually admit they love work. I just enjoy working there, it's the best thing ever. It's only a couple miles from the school, but if you walk to the far end of the dorms, you'll be there.
I drove down the small town road. I was going to play some music, but I really wasn't in the mood. I sped slightly down the road, trying to get the diner quickly. When I pulled into the parking lot, I had 1 minute left. I ran out the car, going into the doors.
"Almost." Mr. Armstrong says from behind the grill.
"I'm sorry. One of my teachers called for me after class." I told him.
"It's fine. Just a heads up next time." He warns.
He wasn't a strict boss, he was actually laid-back. He even let his employees call him by his first name. He'd want you to work, but he wouldn't really make you. I just didn't want to disappoint him since he was nice enough to give me this job.
"Okay." I simply say. I pass by the counter and go to the back. I need to get my apron, pad, and pencil.
"Hey Hun." I hear a lovely voice call out to me.
"Hey." I yell out, knowing exactly who it is.
I come out from the back and see Jolie standing up against the counter. She flashes her lovely smile at me and pulls me into a hug. I wasn't the type to display affection, but she was an exception. Of course I don't like her, but she's a good friend.
"Almost late huh?" She asks teasingly.
"Yeah, my teacher. It won't happen again though." I promised. She wasn't like a manager or anything, but I definitely looked up to her.
"Oh don't worry about it. He's a softie, he won't do anything." She flashed her smile.
"Where's Kenadee?" I asked, looking around the diner.
"Oh, she's with Mitch. You know it's almost her birthday, so he's getting her presents and helping with the birthday party." She admitted.
"How long is he staying?" I asked.
Mitch was her husband for 10 years. Little Kenadee was just 7. She hardly ever gets to see Mitch because he's always touring. I know it's hard on them but I'm sure they'll get through it.
"A few months, they're working on a new album." She admitted. "So are you going to be here for Kenadee's birthday?" She asked.
"Uh, I'll have to work all next week." I said apologetically. I didn't want to miss work, but I couldn't miss her birthday.
"It'll be here at the diner. Billy will let you take off. Won't you Billy?" She raised her voice so it was sounding a bit intimidating.
"Yeah, I'll just get someone to cover your shift." He admitted with a shrug.
"Thanks." I told both of them who gave me a smile.
I started looking around the diner and saw more people coming in. Some that were already there were finishing up their food.
"I think I'll get to work." I told Jolie, who just nodded.
I went by, waiting on tables and clearing them off. It wasn't a dull job, but it wasn't the best. Yeah, maybe I could have been doing something better as a job, but I didn't want to. Practical was perfect enough for me. I took an order up to the counter and noticed that Jolie was gone.
"Where's Jolie?" I asked Billy.
"She had to go meet up with Mitch. Do you think you can cover both shifts? I'll pay you double overtime?" He asked. I couldn't turn him down, he's given me so much.
"Sure. What time would she have gotten off?" I asked.
"12." He bluntly stated.
"Okay, just a couple extra hours. I can handle that." I smiled and grabbed the upcoming order.
As I carried the plate to the table, I heard the door ring. It was signaling that someone had come in, so I tuned my attention to it. Walking in was a tall, scrawny man. He wore all black, and had on attire that was covered in spikes. He turned and headed towards one of the booths away from the windows.
I saw that he was wearing a jacket with one sleeve cut off. The arm that was revealed was covered in tattoos. His jacked simply had the word 'Prophet' written on the back of it. Just from watching him, I was already scared. The thought of going up to this guy caused even more fear to erupt inside of me.
I sat the plate down on the table and walked quickly over to Billy.
"Looks like we have a tumbleweed." He chuckled. He called anyone who stuck out in the diner a tumbleweed. "Why don't you go take his order?" He asked.
I was hesitant about going over there. I didn't know him, and for all I did know, he resembled a serial killer. There was no way that I was going to end up dead. But of course, I couldn't say no to Billy. I smiled and nodded to him, before walking over to his table.
As I slowly approached him, I could see him better. His well chiseled jaw, his God like features. His lips could have practically been painted on. They held a very unique distinctiveness to them, the way they curved. I also saw that they held a ring between both of them. It was locked around his lower lip. He also had one entangled in his nose.
He didn't seem that bad, but I didn't want to judge off first impressions. I stopped nearly two feet from him, and watched as he overlooked the menu. Scanning through it continuously. I looked around and saw an older woman and a younger one get up to leave. I would have to get their plates and clear off the table for future customers.
"I'll be back for your order." I mumbled slightly. I turned around and was getting ready to walk away, when I felt a hand grasp hold of my wrist. I was pulled back and then released.
"I'll take the BLT and a black coffee." He spoke coldly.
I nodded and slowly walked back until I was out of his reach. I turned around and made out the order. I handed it to Billy as I walked by, going to the tables. I only serviced a few more tables before the bell was rang.
"Order's ready." Billy announced.
I sighed before going to the counter and picking it up. I leant down under neath the counter and grabbed a coffee mug, setting it down. With my free hand, I slowly poured the freshly brewed coffee. I finished, and picked it up, before walking over to him.
I laid the sandwich platter down, and the coffee above it. He didn't say anything, just sat back, staring at the food. I took that as an okay sign to leave. I turned and walked away to the bar, before sitting down. I was tired, and there weren't many people who would come in after 11.
That's where I sat, barely moving, unless it was to clear a table or wait on people. I was exhausted, but it didn't matter. One thing that did catch my attention was how the tumbleweed guy had been eating his sandwich for two hours. I didn't think it would take anyone that long to consume food.
Before I thought about it too long, Hannah and Oliver came in. It was their shift now. They would work late, like a few hours to closing, which was 3. The only difference was they'd have to come back in at opening, which is 7, and stay until 10. I greeted them before going to the back to put my things away.
"Night Ashley." Billy said as I walked from around the counter.
"Night. Take care. See you tomorrow." I waved off to him.
I went out the diner doors, going to my car. It was parked almost directly in front of the doors. I took out my keys, fumbling through them to find the right one. I ended up dropping them from my hands. I knelt to the ground, patting it softly, desperate to find them. I took out my phone and shone the flashlight, finding them behind the tire. I put my phone in between my teeth and picked them up.
I was still using the light, I needed to find the right key. When I found it, I unlocked the doors and climbed in. I put my phone in the cup holder and the key in the ignition. I looked up, seeing two piercing blue eyes looking directly at me. I couldn't move, it was like I was under a spell. They blinked, as if releasing me.
I couldn't quit staring at them, though. It was truly terrifying how they were looking past my eyes into me. It wasn't long before the eyes started to smirk. The starting of a motor and they were gone. I watched the red lights of a bike trail away and disappear.
