But I do want to add that Starfire is effectively a Kryptonian with the serial numbers filed off and really she should be counted in Dick's (and possibly Jason's). I get why they didn't include it in this but I'm still going to point it out.

Oh boy, I love my lil' guys appearances, since I like to draw, so we're doing ALL the regulars that show up on tumblr (I have others that ONLY live in my notes apps).

Living, Dead, and Undecided:

Hazel: her bows everywhere do a lot for me. I love that she LOOKS like such an innocent little girl, but in reality, they're actually an immortal murder-goblin witch

Kate: mud brown hair + agressively regular wardrobe. Our token party human certainly looks unassuming and it helps her get underestimated.

Chase: Big sad wet red eyes

Zachary: Dessicated green corpse goblin skin

Sam: F L U F F Y E

RWA Students:

Amber: big, super crooked nose. Tbh, I would say nose for everybody if I could---I LOVE giving people unique noses! But Amber's is a fave. Between that and her necromancer colors, it makes her look kind of like a classic storybook witch!

Seth: TALL and LANKY. He DOES NOT fit in doorframes and his limbs are WAY too fucking long for anyone's comfort but he still manages to seem graceful and put together (it's all a lie. Jax has watched him bang himself up tumbling out of bed enough times to know).

Paige: Brown hair brown eyes brown skin! She's brown brown brown brown and it's BEAUTIFUL!

Claire: CHUBBY! She just is so round and soft in every way! Cheeks, hair, belly, arms legs---my beatiful fat girl!

Jax: Lichtenberg scars on the entire right side of his body, resulting in a droopy half-paralyzed face. It makes it a fun challenge for me because I have to remember to always draw him non-symmetrically.

Saylor: ridiculously bruised, cut, burned, scarred, scraped, and generally fucked up face and body. She is SO not careful and it SHOWS and it injects her with SO much personality!

Vigilance: Their turquoise box braids are SO cool and SO fun to draw!

The Motley Crew/Gunpowder and Broken Glass:

Kestrel: Long shiny black hair! A lot of my OCs---especially the fighting oriented ones---are perfectly willing to sacrifice looks for practicality and wouldn't have long hair that can be grabbed easily, or at least wouldn't have it exposed when fighting. Kessie though? She likes to look good, and her hair is no exception. Just try to pull her hair. She dares you.

Felicia: I really love that her being so pale means you can see it EVERY evidence of her fucked up existence spelled out plainly on her skin. Her massive bags, her blood and bruises, her permanent frostbite are all so stark and clear on her.

Slick: His eyepatch, bandana, and bitten ear! For how many pirates I've drawn over the years, I've actually almost never given any of them eyepatches or other stereotypical pirate trappings, so it's great fun for me! His stupid little greasy ponytail is a close runner up though.

Twitch: The whole wardrobe---overall shorts, stupid socks, goggles, poncho---it's basically just a grab-bag of all my favorite steampunk/fantasy appearance tropes.

Hothead: To very intentionally toot my own horn, the mix of golem and enchanted clockwork traits she has. Most regular enchanted clockworks are life-rank, some are storm or myth, but Hothead is fire and powered by coal and steam---more like a golem. So I had a lot of fun giving her a furnace and smokestacks and steam pipes.

Spiraling into Insanity:

Melody: HOT PINK HAIR AND BLACK NAILS AND LIPSTICK! She puts effort into looking hot and it works!

Benny: Bathrobe-style robe and very unkempt hair. He always looks like he got dragged out of bed for this (which he did).

Chorustown Chronicles (R.I.P. to everybody, you shouldn't know who these guys are even if you ARE keeping track of my OCs):

Ren: Love her light, airy, colorful, very femme clothing as Serenity, love her spooky glowing goggles as Watchdog.

CJ: Shocking blue eyes as Cory, COVID mask as Cleric

Others: Hashing out their designs has been on my to-do list forever, but from what I DO know, there's a large spectrum of masks here. Theatrical masks, bandanas, dominos, helmets, visors, goggles, ski masks, and more! If it covers your face, someone is using it!

Residents of Reveria:

Since I did just design my fantasy life OCs and mostly talked about their wardrobe in that post: I really am a huge fan of all three girls' hair.

Sella's platinum blonde princess curls, Ginger's messy wavy orange ponytail, and Autumn's unkempt, choppy, auburn bob all bring me a lot of joy and say a lot about their characters!

Just for funsies, here's a painting I did a while back for an art class. It's Epithet Erased themed and is meant to be like the shattered triangle pieces in the show logo. Each triangle is meant to represent a different character (except for the one that's just all of the Banzai Blasters). See if you can guess them all!

All of the words were written with a toothpick I dipped in paint, so this was kind of a pain to make, but I think it was worth it.

honey!!!!! ILY💕 but also you caught me on a really low-battery kinda night, so this is the best i could do, but. BUT.

i think steve has plans. i think he wants today to be about self-indulgence first and foremost, and the most self-indulgent thing steve can think of doing, is spoiling bucky rotten since the moment bucky opens his eyes.

i'll tell ya what, i think bucky's getting breakfast in bed.

i think the first thing he's gonna see when he blinks his sleep-sticky eyes open is steve, not next to him in bed as he expected him to be, but carefully backing into the bedroom to hold the door open.

steve's almost bashful grin, blond hair still ruffled on top of his head, old t-shirt and pyjama pants riding low his hips - the entire, strapping 220 lbs of his bulk padding awkwardly into the bedroom with a tray of food in his hands: buttered toast, diced fruit, a nice hot cuppa coffee made just how bucky likes it, a tall stack of pancakes with a single candle sitting brightly right on top, steve's hand cupped before the little wobbly flame so it won't be snuffed out before bucky has a chance to see it.

sweetheart, bucky's gonna think, heart feelin' so tender you'd think he'd had it cooking in a crockpot all day long, sweetheart because that's his stevie through and through, and because that's often the first word on bucky's lips in the morning anyways.

i see steve carrying the goodies to the bed while singing 'happy birthday', a little off-key, a little giddy, almost tripping over a couple times 'cause alpine keeps winding her fluffy body around his ankles - she's a domestic hazard, really -

and when he sets the tray down in front of bucky, eyes twinkling with this youthful sort of hope, like a kid about to unwrap his own presents, and asks bucky to "make a wish, buck", his pink lips sweeter than sin, well bucky almost cracks and tells steve his best-guarded secret.

(it's not really a secret, not to either of them, not these days.)

(he's already got everything he's ever wanted, and it's right here, in his bed, offering him a smile and a candle to celebrate his life with. offering him the life bucky's finally happy to celebrate. the life they keep building together, adding to it one day at a time.)

i think they end up feeding each other little morsels of breakfast, like say: a slippery slice of strawberry, a piece of nearly-burnt toast dripping with jam, a forkful of pancake soaked in maple syrup. all sweet, all richly decadent. i don't think they end up eating a lot though, not right away.

they reach for each other, fingers nice an' sticky, lips shiny with butter and syrup, and somehow steve's slipping back under the duvet, nestling low, low between bucky's thighs,

and bucky's toes are curling, his whole body sweet, warmed by steve's mouth, arching into steve's kisses, his fingers licked clean by steve's searing tongue, and it's a good job steve doesn't mind getting his hair tugged on a little, bucky thinks a tad wildly - because when steve scoops some syrup off of the plate with his fingertip, and trails it languidly down the length of bucky's flushed cock just to lap it up with the flat of his tongue, bucky isn't sure he knows how to control his hands anymore.

i'm getting towards the end of the skypeia arc, & i'd like to say just how much i adore the way the female strawhats have been treated.

just... every aspect of how the way their characters have been previously contextualized influences the story-line is treated with a masterful amount of consideration. we're given so many layers to both of them that enrich not only their characters specifically, but the arc, and the one piece world as a whole. without nami & robin having their specific skills, and their specific values, without those being built upon, the story would have come to a halt.

you could not have skypeia without nami & robin being who they are as individuals. not just because they never would've gotten there without nami, but also because the way these women think is itself foundational to the machinations of the arc as a whole.

to be totally upfront, if you think any other strawhats were more central to the skypeia arc than nami & robin were you are full-on fucking lying to yourself.
