been drawing a sorta reference thingy for Salesman Barry in the timeloop au i've been rotating around in my brain for a while recently :] it isn't as much a character design reference as it is more of a reference for how Barry's mental state begins to deteriorate as he starts having intense deja vu and nightmares every time his timeline gets reset upon death and he tries to piece together what is going on out of pure desperation and instincts (he is being experimented on and doesn't know it yet). i want to throw him at a wall (affectionate)

it is still a WIP as i haven't drawn all the details yet and i want to change the colours as they look too dull on my pc,,, also here is the original sketch :D

i figured out the funniest possible deathspeaker timeline. timeline where dara is the same age as and grew up with joe and lily. dara starts transitioning at the age of 8 years old after she admits her massive crush on joe and he tells her he's not really interested in boys which makes her realize she isn't one actually. deciding to be a girl does not change joe's mind because he is 8 and so so demiromantic and doesn't know it yet, but lily sure is interested. cut to 10 years later lily and dara have been on again off again for 10 years with drama the likes of which you've never seen because they can't fucking stand each other. joe is also there realizing he needs better friends

i think they're halfway in #exile. they had their 👿 moments but then in the last episode they felt pretty neutral to me, mostly because roman was doing so incredibly bad that i don't think he even had the brain capacity to think about the situation with her. i'm sort of hoping we'll be seeing the promised ups in the next episodes, even though the promo material is a bit glum. but there's always hope until the last second of episode ten so. i'm crossing my fingers!

Cat Noir's eyes followed the whirlwind of ladybugs as they repaired the half destroyed neighbourhood, leaving behind not trace of the devastation that the akumatised person and their sentimonster had brought in their coming. Everything was back to how it had been, as if nothing had happened.

Yet, as always, there was one thing that not even Ladybug's miraculous power could repair. And how could it when she was the one who had broken it over and over again?

Biting back a sigh, the teen turned his gaze away from where his partner was handing over the newly made lucky charm, turning his gaze upwards, towards the quickly darkening sky. The battle had lasted longer than he had expected and, even without the beeping sound coming from his ring, warning him that he would be transforming back soon, he would have been in a hurry.

Adrien had places to be and he couldn't rely so easily on made up excuses, not with Natalie and his father watching over him like hawks.

He didn't utter a word when Ladybug joined him, so that they could disappear from sight and fade back into their public identities away from prying eyes. He simply followed his partner, as he so often did, letting her take the lead.

Normally, once they had landed on a rooftop at a safe distance, he would have offered a parting nod and headed towards his house, but not that evening. Instead, his hand shoot out and grabbed the girl's wrist, preventing her from taking off.

Cat Noir swallowed slightly. He knew already what she would say if given the chance. How they had no time for his usual shenanigans, how they couldn't risk to be seen or to see each other without the mask. No time to mess around, too many responsibility, too much at stake. He had heard that speech dozens of times and he knew that she was right, but was a mere stolen moment really so much to ask?

"Milady, wait," he spoke up, before Ladybug could open her mouth. She wouldn't get the chance to say her piece, not this time. "I..."

His voice trailed off. Were there even words for what he wanted to communicate? Other words, aside from the ones he had spoken over and over again, in vain? He doubted it. So, what to do?

His grip on Ladybug's hand shifted and he started to lift it up, as he had already done countless times to kiss it. However, he found himself changing his mind once again, mid gesture. That action was a worn script too, and an ineffective one. It wasn't what he wanted.

What he needed was a change in their usual lines, small enough not to cross boundaries but meaningful.

His eyes narrowed for a moment and he turned her hand over with a quick flick of wrist, so that his lips could land in the middle of her palm instead. He didn't allow himself to linger, no matter how much he wanted to. A light pressure that lasted a few seconds and then he loosened his grasp on her fingers, letting them fall out of his own.

The corner of his lips quirked up in a small smile as he rose his eyes back on his partner's face, before he bent in a half bow.

"Sweet dreams, my Bugaboo."

And with that, he turned on his heels and used his stick to jump on the next rooftop without waiting for an answer. No stopping, no looking back. He didn't want to know whether or not she had stopped to watch him go. Better the torment of not knowing that yet another painful stab in his already battered heart.

Hmm. Don't think I said I didn't care. But I also care about being effective. That's what's wrong with me.

Not everything revolves around this genocide. But that's reality. Do you see people talking about the genocide in the linked articles? In other posts like this one? No, because ... other issues exist in the world which are at play in the election.

Btw, Israel is committing the genocide, not Biden. Why are you apologizing for Israel instead of holding them accountable? Seems like not a great thing to do.

Do you think it'll be Republicans instead of Democrats getting away with genocide if you let them win? Because it will be, and it'll be worse.

Do you recognize that? Do you understand that? Why do you think it's only Democrats who are the problem? Are the Republicans perfect, non-murdering saints?

Lives are worth protecting. But you propose to sacrifice millions to do it. And what is your solution?

Literally, WHAT is your solution? What is going to happen if Trump wins? When you set your emotions aside, what is the chain of your logic that arrives at an end to the genocide?

Step 1, you vote against Biden.

Step 2, Trump wins.

Step 3 ...? What? Does Trump tell Israel to stop? Does he sell them more weapons? Do people have more freedom to protest? What does Trump do that will achieve a meaningful change?

Because all I ever see is a revenge fantasy, and there's nothing after it.

So that's what I want to know. What comes after your revenge fantasy that's worth throwing US lives under the bus? What is the forward progress?

Removing Biden is not progress. It's a neutral result. Something else must actively happen to stop the genocide. If you cannot achieve measurable progress toward your objective then your strategy doesn't exist and you've achieved nothing except to inflict pain on people right here in the states.

Zero forward progress + punishing people at home sounds like a net negative result. I'd rather have zero forward progress + same or better at home. Which is why Biden is the answer and not Trump.

I cannot stress enough how important it is that whatever you think of anything else, Trump Cannot Be President Again.

The "rip apart democracy and install an autocrat" group was not Ready for him in 2016. They didn't think he'd win.

They're ready now. They're teeing up for a second Trump president. Whatever your favorite current Thing, it would be worse under Trump, and it is not an exaggeration to say that they're going to try to make sure that they stay in power forever, by any means necessary.

SCOTUS basically just said, "If Trump sends the Army in to murder protestors, that's okay. If Trump assassinates a political rival with the armed forces of which he is the Commander In Chief, that's an official act, and there's no recourse."

Anything he can even vaguely justify as "an official act" - including installing people in the Justice Department to support his coup, including pressuring his VP to support his coup - is no longer a crime.
