👋😃
I’ve been wondering what is your thought about the farmer working with some kind of organization to stop any crazy events from happening because since kids going missing magic and stuff and must we not forget monsters and evil spirits keep happening I can see some kind of organization stopping this from happening or maybe even had a hand in stopping different species wars that lasted many years, and to be honest, just the idea of the magic council kidnapping kids to become wizards and sorcerer is something that must cause a lot of chaos and the stuff about the cult of the lady, while I like the idea of the farmer being a secret agent working with other species and having a double life in the dark while acting oblivious to all the magic And the stuff happening around and the only reason the farmer moved to the valley is because the reports of crazy things that keep happening there but there is a lot of thinking about it.
and if you want you can make a short story since I really like your stories.
Wow, I've never gotten that far with headcanons, but the idea is pretty interesting!
If I understand correctly, dear anon, your idea is that the reason for Farmer's arrival in Stardew Valley is to investigate strange magical occurrences, since Farmer himself is a member of a secret disaster prevention organization. Let's call it the "V" organization.
I think such an organization makes sense at least because humans (at least some humans) don't want to make the same mistakes as the elves, a race that lived before humans and destroyed itself because of powerful magic and advanced technology (Dwarf talks about this in his mature event). Then, the reason the Farmer came to their grandfather's inherited farm is just a cover.
Still not much is known about the Ministry of Magic, but I and others have had speculation that mages from the Ministry are doing rather questionable actions under the pretext of protecting people from monsters, malicious magic, and whatnot (the way the Morgan arrived in the Valley). Apparently, someone had a lot of questions about an all-powerful magical organization that does not obey anyone, but many obey it.
About the Belinda's cult, by the way...
_________________________________________
"So my gut didn't deceive me!" Jio took out his blade from its sheath and was already in a fighting stance, but the elf didn't have time to do anything because Belinda gave the command.
"Hold. All of you. Put your weapons away."
A few seconds of tense silence, and yet Jio dared not disobey the order. "Yes, my lady," a note of irritation and concern could be heard in his voice.
"Who would have thought, my dear friend, that your grandchild would go so far..." Belinda's expression softened for a second at the memory of Farmer's grandmother, but she became serious again as she approached Farmer for answers.
_________________________________________
In the case of the cult of the Lady with a Red Tail, I think Belinda will offer to cooperate. For both organizations that operate regardless of the rules of the Ministry of Magic/ Order of Pythagoras/etc., wish for the good of humanity... They share the same goal, so why not become temporary allies? Or at least not to kill each others.
It is not difficult to guess that the reaction of other adventurers and magicians to the truth about the Farmer (either they will tell it themselves, or the truth will come to light) will be, to put it mildly, unpleasant. Because if it turns out that the Farmer's organization is an official enemy of the Ministry of Magic, there will be a lot of problems, and not only for the Farmer.

I know Mai is sort of like the typical "kind of a bitch" female character that often has a lot of sexist tropes playing around, but for some reason... I actually like her?
#I don't know#She's rude and can be ruthless#but she actually seems kind of. not truly bad? Like a teen after all idk#A bit like how Todo seemed like the burly rude giant bully kind of guy but is sort of... sweet?#And though it surprised me at first it makes sense to me now that Todo and Mai seem to be... close?#They're The Mean Ones but actually they don't seem too bad idk#Kamo and Mechamaru gave me quite a more ruthless in a bad way feeling in that one Kyoto reunion they had with the disgusting old man#But it's also true they're Jujutsu teen sorcerers in that Jujutsu shitty society and their principal is asking this of them as is law#Megumi had that kind of reaction to Itadori as well at first because that's what the law says until he chose for himself otherwise#And the way it was presented with Gojo appearing later and asking about his 'personal feelings' and all that#as well as what we saw about the Tokyo school later on it seems like Gojo is enhancing#this 'think for yourself beyond the established rules' mindset to his students as opposed to the Kyoto school and that principal#I guessed right two months ago when I said I imagined the second school would be in Kyoto and that they'd be more traditional#Anyway... I can't truly blame the Kyoto kids either. I hope they get more critical about the situation#And I hope they beat the old man up in group with large sticks#All together united by how disgusting that guy is and how much he deserves to go down ✨💕#Utahime dear... I want to love you. What's your opinion on the old man? Do you like him? Do you share these views?#The fact that Gojo trusted her about the mole but didn't say anything to the old man gives me some hope#She also told the students to try and help each other a bit even if they're competing against each other#And Miwa and Todo seem kind of dear kids. I hope. I don't know. I hope she's not okay with sending kids to kill other kids#I'm not asking Nanami levels of decent but idk Gojo‚ Ijichi and Shoko levels perhaps?#Or at least I hope she'll be an interesting awful if she's going to be awful#WAIT#TODO IS A KID#What was he doing fighting super powerful curses one year ago in that one Geto terrorist attack?#He was a second year?!#Why did they send him?#He goes to school!#Kamo said something about how age doesn't matter in Jujutsu BUT IT DOES. ASK NANAMI#Nanami please can you become the Kyoto teacher? Those kids need someone decent. WHY DID THEY SEND TODO

My first ask not about the goldie fic but I want your opinion: do you think Bill had a crush on the pharaoh? Because he really hypes up how he was obsessed with him, while the evidence shows Amenemhat was one of the least interested humans he partnered with, and he still doesn't seem to harbor much ill will by Bill standards. He also kinda overtly says he tried to flirt with him and that he was thirsty (for friendship). I feel like their relationship was different from most of the others, and is focused on the least.
Also do you think he was into the shaman. Because their non-portal-realated relationship is elaborated on the most and he seems to hold the biggest grudge, but it could've also just been a particular rare respect.
I think Bill has two kinds of crushes.
Tumblr media
Bill gets 🩷crushes💕 on people that, like, have traits he generally finds attractive, whatever those are. Amenemhat III wore a big hat and built three pyramids, maybe Bill's into that, idk. We don't know much about their dynamic. If things don't work out with these crushes he's like, whatever, he moves on. These crushes are like a game to him.
On the other hand, Bill gets 🔥CRUSHES🔥 on people that make him go "they just like me fr." And here I'm using the word "crushes" to also cover platonic relationships—it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to make out with them, just that somehow he's forged an iron-hard emotional chain with them that he craves to be reciprocated. (the other crushes could also be platonic, but I think they tend to tilt more toward romantic by default.)
Bill strikes me as the kind of guy who goes through life thinking Nobody Could Possibly Get Him so when he runs into the rare person that he does think gets him, he latches onto them like a crocodile onto a baby hippo—and it's just as likely to end either with the prey dead or with the predator getting a few teeth knocked out.
And these are the ones Bill gets bitter and resentful over when things fall apart.
But look at what we know about the shaman: when Bill offered him a way out of his world to explore the secrets of the universe, he jumped at the opportunity; they got intoxicated together; they stargazed together; the shaman taught Bill something he didn't know, which has gotta be rare at a trillion years old.
Ford, obviously, is one of these people to Bill, and the shaman sounds like he's got a lot in common with Ford—curious knowledge-seeker, "the wisest of his tribe." Shaman also sounds like he's got a lot in common with Bill, partying with aliens, enthralled with the stars. I think Bill thought the shaman got him, and that he was not just furious but devastated when that fell apart—and we only don't see the full impact of that because Bill's had nearabout 4000 years to cauterize those wounds.
The shaman was a 🔥CRUSH🔥; the pharaoh was a 🩷crush💕.

🌸 @csevet asked:

AHHHHH thank you SO much!!! OMGGGGG 🥺 live laugh lesbian..... 💞💗💖💕💖💞💕💖💗
🌸 @chrysalis-the-butterfly asked:
I read If You'll Have Me a few months ago and I loved it! Your art is so pretty and Momo and PG are such cool characters! 🥰 If you're okay with sharing, I'd be interested to hear what inspired you during the creative process? Were there any pieces of media or any other characters which influenced the formation of Momo and PG? Or did you do your own thing?
oh my gosh! thank you!! i really love character interactions and relationship dynamics, so i wanted to depict two girls who seemed like opposites - one cool and laid-back, the other soft and sweet. after a while they started to take on a life of their own, and i thought it'd be wonderful if their story could evoke the feeling of a shoujo romance!
i had a lot of things on my mind when i wrote the script... friendship, intimacy, communication... communication can be so hard! sometimes it's harder with someone you're close to because their opinion is so important to you. and what happens when you've got a character who's non-confrontational and has low self-esteem + someone who prefers actions over words, and would rather burn bridges than admit to feeling vulnerable? how would they get past that? i wanted to write their flaws as believable, and how their life experiences have shaped the way they think about themselves / the way they respond to personal conflict... but also how they learn from each other and grow ❤️ tysm for the question!!
@bisexualgoof asked:
Hi Eunnie! I just finished reading “If You’ll Have Me” and let me tell you, it was spectacular! I saw it in a local bookstore the other day and it was a no brainer to grab. The characters are so fun, the story is beautiful and heartfelt, and honestly every character is attractive… I especially fell in love with the pages of the books without words, especially 312-313, it made me cry. Such beautiful art! I related to PG’s annoyance with her long hair, I felt very seen with her comments. I’ve definitely said “I’d like to forget” so many times myself, right to my butch heart haha. Thank you for sharing this story with the world, and thank you in particularly for your acknowledgment at the end of the book, it made me feel seen. What an amazing love story, hope to see more of this adorable couple in the future!
oh my goodness!! this is so lovely and wonderful and ahhh T_T thank you so very much. it's such a dream, having these girls be out in the world with their personalities and backstories revealed at last! and i'm so happy to hear about the cast and side characters, i love designing people hehe ♥ i'll definitely keep drawing this couple, alongside more sapphic couples that are to come 😍 thank you!!

1. Will there be an “if you’ll have me” sequel? 2. Is Momo her full name or a Nick name? If it’s a Nick name what is her full name? Thank you i love your work! ❤️😊
ahh there's no sequel planned as of right now! but i'd love to make one if i get the chance... i have some ideas that i think would be fun <3 and momo gardner is her full name! i liked gardner because it made me think of flowers ☺️❤️ thank you so much!!

🌸 Anonymous asked:
Hello!! I just remembered I could borrow graphic novels as e-books from my local library, found IYHM, devoured the entire thing in one sitting, then went through your tags so I could look at all your other IYHM art, and I was wondering if you'll make more stories about Momo and PG because I can't get enough of them! Absolutely obsessed with these two and I love seeing them so happy together 💖💖💖💖
hello!! oh i'm absolutely over the moon about this! i can definitely see myself making a follow-up book if i'm so lucky 🙏 but i'll keep on drawing more minicomics and illustrations no matter what!! thank you so much for this wonderful message 💕💕💕💕
Tumblr media
🌸 Anonymous asked:
hi!! love love love your art!!! do you think we can expect to see another graphic novel about momo and priscilla in the future?
🌸 Anonymous asked:
I’ve read IYHM so many times already and I absolutely loved it!!!! Are you planning on writing another book with Momo and PG? Is is there a way we can buy more of your stories?
thank you both so much!!!! <3 a sequel is actually one of the ideas i pitched for my second book! my editor cautioned against it in case IYHM didn't perform well, so i ended up going in a different direction - but my fingers are crossed for future opportunities 😤 realistically, it will probably depend on sales... but for the record, i'd want to do one regardless of the numbers...
i have one more book coming out, which i'm working on right now! the timeline is a bit up in the air atm but i'll try to keep everyone posted. making a book is so slow but i'm so grateful to you all for waiting 🥺💛
🌸 @randomqueernoun asked:
Do you make webcomics for other apps/websites? If yes where can I find them and what do I search in them to find your comics?
ahh not at the moment! but thank you SO much for the interest! one of my biggest goals right now is to set up a website where i have all my work in one place, and that would definitely be the place where i post future webcomics 👀
also, just as an aside... i want to make webcomics so bad. i think after my next book, i might take a break from traditional publishing to do that. sometimes i can't believe i'm drawing hundreds of pages i can't post... i'm like, how are people supposed to read this if i can't show them? how will they know?! ahh it kills me... but yes... someday!!!
part 3 to come~

please could you do jjk guys and their type of s/o what type of woman they would be attracted to headcanons
JJK Men And Types Of Women They'd Be Attracted To
Heyy anon ꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡
Thank you for this amazing request, I hope you enjoy it 🫶🏻💕
Characters: Gojo – Toji – Megumi – Geto – Yuji – Choso – Nanami – Sukuna ♡
Ps: I received a lot of amazing requests and I'm currently working on all them, I'll make sure to post them asap, sorry for taking too long, it's because I'm active on Wattpad as well. Thank you for your understanding 💖✨
Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru:
Strong, confident, playful woman.
Given his nature, I think Gojo would be attracted to a strong confident woman. Gojo is apathetic towards people who seem to be weak, so being strong both mentally and physically would stand out and capt his interest. He would like to playfully challenge and compete with his s/o. He also prefers that his partner has a witty side, to comfortably engage in playful banters without getting offended of his egocentric jokes ( that he means them 99% of the time.). “Oh baby but I am the strongest, you can take second place that's okay”
Toji Fushiguro:
Charismatic and financially independent woman.
Toji is a strong man with a strong personality so he prefers a woman that would keep up with him, a woman with a strong charisma that goes beyond words. She must be a badass that can manage difficult situations, defend herself and her rights and assert boundaries and limits with others, he finds it attractive. A strong presence totally intrigues him. It is more likable for him that his s/o is financially independent, who is willing to contribute to the well-being of their relationship and supports him monetarily. “I love it when you put others in their places”
Ryomen Sukuna:
Submissive woman.
This man is dominant, controlling and possessive. He wants an easily manipulated woman, so he can break her and own her, tame her and re-create her depending on his own needs. He wants a woman that would serve as his personal assistant, that would please and satisfy him without questioning his orders or giving him a hard time or resisting him. “Just like that, obey me”
Megumi Fushiguro:
Mysterious woman.
This man right here can't be phased by anything, but the moment he meets a mysterious, secretive woman, he would be instantly hooked. He is a mysterious, emo man himself so he wants a reserved s/o with deep secrets. He prefers privacy, so he would like to establish a world for him and his partner to share their deep thoughts, interests and opinions that they never share with others. Creating a safe space. “Your smile is enigmatic, it's intriguing”
Nanami Kento:
Responsible, mature woman.
Nanami is a mature man, he prefers a woman who is able to handle her responsibilities and duties both towards him and herself. A woman that can take wise and right decisions. He's also a very respectful man so he wants a well-mannered s/o with a civilized, heathy and effective communication style. It is important that his partner is emotionally intelligent, and can control overwhelming situations and unexpected issues. He also cherishes a loyal woman who commits to a long-term relationship. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you”
Choso Kamo:
Family-oriented woman.
Similar to Nanami, but wants his partner to be more family-oriented. He dates to marry, and to have a big family so he expects her to commit and build a strong lasting bond. His family and family traditions are sacred and valued, so his s/o must respect and adapt to them and also get along with his brothers. He likes to have discussions about their future concerning marriage, children and house hold duties. She also must have a caring and loving nature to emphasize the well being of their relationship. Our family will grow, and we will grow old together”
Itadori Yuji:
Kind and empathetic.
Yuji is a moral man with a strong desire to protect and take care if his loved ones especially his partner. He wants his s/o to be empathetic and kind towards him and towards others. He desires a kind and a warm kind of relationship where both him and his partner treat one another with care, love and consideration. She also must have a positive outlook and is grateful for life and faces challenges with positivity. Supporting and standing with each other during highs and lows is a must. It is preferable for him that she's vocal About her empathy, where she stands up and advocates for others who are in need. “I respect your bravery”
Geto Suguru:
Ambitious and smart woman.
He prefers a woman who is driven by her goals. Suguru is an ambitious man with big dreams that he works really hard to achieve. So he appreciates determinations to reach the top, and this is a quality that his s/o must possess. He favours a partner that pushes him forward to succeed and that values hard work. Also, she must be a strategic thinker that sets good plans. Geto relies on his mind while he neglects his heart most of them while taking decisions, same thing must be for his s/o to not cause conflicts in terms of emotional needs. “I am you, You are me”

I wanna sketch Ford Titanic-style. Like he's just lounging on the couch or his bed and I tell him how pretty he is and how distinguished he looks <3 Gotta document is raw essence 😤😤😤💕
As a treat, here is a short teeny bit of dialogue I wrote a while ago as a warm up based around making this reference to Ford and him Not Getting it because he missed out on seeing Titanic:
“Would you pose for me?” Ford asks softly as he runs one big hand up and down your back.
You're lounging around with him in bed on a lazy Sunday evening, leisurely sharing in each other's company without fear of being caught, when he poses the question.
He sounds slightly shy, a little unsure of himself, perhaps, and you lift your head from where it rests on his chest to meet his eyes.
“Pose?” You ask. “What for?”
“For me to sketch,” he explains with a smile, gesturing vaguely to where his bag his sitting on the far side of your bedroom. He must have brought a journal along with him. “I’ve admittedly let my human anatomy slip, what with all the monsters and the like, and I could use some practise. You'd make a regal addition, in my opinion.”
You smile, amused, but your cheeks are warm at his flippant compliment. "I'm hardly interesting in comparison to everything else you draw," you tell him. "I'm not sure it would be very captivating for anyone."
"Everything about you is captivating, my dear," Ford says fondly. "And besides, who said it was for anything other than my personal collection?"
He gives you an impish wink and you bite your lip to stifle a smile. It's enough to make your stomach fill with butterflies and he knows the effect his playfulness has on you. That's why he does it so much, damn him.
Recovering, you grin. “So you want to draw me like one of your French girls, do you, Doctor Pines?”
Ford's cheeky expression melts into one of confusion and he frowns. “What difference would it make if you were French?”
It's your turn to frown now. "What?"
"Nationality has no bearing on sketching ability and besides, I don't know any French girls. I've never even been, actually. I've heard it's dreadful."
For half a moment, you're completely confused and you open your mouth to question him further before it hits you-
Of course he doesn’t get the reference, you idiot, he’s never seen Titanic.
“Shit, right, the portal," you mutter, shaking your head minutely as you shuffle to sit up. "Forget I said anything, it's not important."
Ford looks confused but he shrugs off your comment, far too distracted by watching the way the sheets fall from your naked form and pool around your lap.
Usually he'd press you for more but he's clearly found something more important to focus on and it doesn't escape your notice.
"You're welcome to sketch any part of me you'd like to," you say with a smile, stretching your arms over your head leisurely and enjoying the way his eyes rake all over your form.
You can almost hear him internally dissecting you into muscle groups and shapes, and when he meets your eyes again, he smirks.
"I can think of a few places I'd like to start...."

Hi! I have read through all of your harry metas and I love them!!! And it made me wonder whether you had any personal head-cannons regarding him? Like any unpopular ones that are not mentioned in the books or discussed by the fandom. I found only a precious few posts regarding this matter, so yeah I would like to know yours if u do have any.
Hi, thank you so much! 💕
Honestly, I'm pretty sure I just sprinkled Harry headcanons throughout my various posts but I'll try to comprise a list of some of my headcanons that popped into my head here. As such, these are all my random headcanons about Harry, some have more reasoning behind them than others. So, here are some of them in no particular order:
1. I think Harry is gay (could be demi but I don't think he's interested in women and he is interested in men. Personally, I headcanon him as gay).
I have a whole post about it here, but I don't know how common of an opinion it is since I see mostly bi Harry and not gay ones.
2. I see some fanon Harry's portrayed as very small, but I don't think he is. In my head, he's about 5'11 (by book 7) and in canon, he can lift Mundungus by the throat with one hand so... I think he's pretty fit actually. (Though he's very thin due to malnourishment). He's just always compared to Ron, who is like, ridiculously tall. I also think he was short for his age up until and including book 4. Between books 4 and 5 is when he had his first real growth spurt.
3. I think he was born Master of Death and that a lot of his miraculous survivals are because of that.
4. Harry has ADHD. It's my way to explain his tendency to be very observant of some things and not others, his crazy good selective memory, and his tendency to fail when he starts overthinking. Idk, I have ADHD and I'm getting these vibes from him (or projecting, who knows).
5. In my head, the epilogue isn't canon, so Harry breaks the curse on the DADA position, like, 5 years after the war, and starts teaching it. Until then, McGonagall just made sure to hire teachers only with one year contracts.
6. I headcanon the Potter family had more estate than just the cottage in Godric's Hollow and Harry finds out about them at some point after the war. I mean, they are reasonably rich, have a Wizengamot seat, and had more family members until very recently. They have to have more houses.
7. I think Harry and Kreature actually become friends after the books. I think they could've during the books too, Harry finds Kreature's sense of humor funny even as back as OotP:
“. . . Smells like a drain and a criminal to boot, but she’s no better, nasty old blood traitor with her brats messing up my Mistress’s house, oh my poor Mistress, if she knew, if she knew the scum they’ve let in her house, what would she say to old Kreacher, oh the shame of it, Mudbloods and werewolves and traitors and thieves, poor old Kreacher, what can he do. . . .” “Hello, Kreacher,” said Fred very loudly, closing the door with a snap. The house-elf froze in his tracks, stopped muttering, and then gave a very pronounced and very unconvincing start of surprise. “Kreacher did not see Young Master,” he said, turning around and bowing to Fred. Still facing the carpet, he added, perfectly audibly, “Nasty little brat of a blood traitor it is.” “Sorry?” said George. “Didn’t catch that last bit.” “Kreacher said nothing,” said the elf, with a second bow to George, adding in a clear undertone, “and there’s its twin, unnatural little beasts they are.” Harry didn’t know whether to laugh or not.
(OotP, 107-108)
I just see a lot of sassy potential in their dynamic.
8. Before he was hit with the killing curse, he and Lily had the same eye color, a deep, bright green. After Halloween 1981, Harry's eyes are always the shade of the killing curse, which is similar to before, just slightly lighter and brighter. It's barely noticeable unless in certain lighting, but Sirius was sure he was hallucinating from exhaustion on a few nights in Grimmauld Place where he looked at Harry, and his eyes shined just a little off, a little too brightly, the wrong color for just a moment.
9. He had at least 1 too sexy dream about Tom Riddle, and he never told and never will tell anyone if it's up to him. He tries to pretend it didn't happen tbh.
10. Same as number 9 about Sirius, honestly...
11. His animagus form would be a Raven. (Although I can see a few other forms as possible as well)
12. Sometimes, when I draw Harry, I add a little white streak of hair from his scar because I think it looks cool. Also, white hair and death connotation, so, yeah. I'd like to think that the white tuft became larger after he died and came back in the forest.
13. I usually imagine his scar going down through his eyebrow to around his right eye, basically I like it when Harry is very obviously and clearly marked by the killing curse. Unfortunately, canon contradicts this by him being able to cover the scar with his hair, and Snatchers in Deathly Hollows believed him to not be Harry Potter when he made shit up, so the scar probably isn't that noticeable. I'd like to think it is larger with very few lines going below his forehead, and just very very pale and almost invisible when Tom isn't angry over something.
14. He's short-sighted. Aka, his glasses are for looking at things far away, and if he wants to read, he can do so without the glasses, assuming he's holding the page close enough to his face. Actually, contrary to fanon opinion, I think Harry can see without his glasses, it's just really hazy, but if you stand close enough he would recognize you without his glasses. His sight isn't that bad.
15. I think throughout the series, his wardrobe slowly becomes more wizardy (and it could be really cool to implement something like that in the TV show). Basically, in year 1, he's always wearing his school robes over Dudley's muggle clothes, but through the years, he ends up buying random wizard clothing artifacts. So, in later years, he occasionally wore jeans under his robes, but sometimes he wore wizarding shirts. Sometimes, in books like 4 or 5, he could wear muggle sneakers with a casual wizarding robe on the weekend. Like, idk, I like the idea of this gradual change in his wardrobe and by book 7 when they are actively on the run from the ministry he's finally really looking the part of a wizard, but he isn't part of their society because of the war. Like, I just like this arc to his fashion that I made up in my head.
16. The one thing I might agree with the epilogue on in my headcanoned future, is that Harry declines going back for 8th year. Except in my head, he doesn't immediately go to Auror training, instead, he tries to take some time to figure his life out after everything, realizes he wants to go back to Hogwarts and that he doesn't know how to just sit down after 17 years of running on adrenalin and he ends up returning to the optional 8th year like 3 months late.
17. Harry's patronus is never going to change. He isn't going to allow that piece of his father to die, so I don't think it would change.
18. Like what I mentioned above about his eyes being just slightly off from Lily's eye color, I think his resemblance to James is like that too (and the books support me on this). In SWM Harry mentions how James has a longer nose than him and a different eye shape, and I think if you looked closely at James and Harry side by side, you'll see more and more of these differences. They look the same when you don't think about it, but once you look, they don't look like carbon copies of each other at all. I think Harry has James' eyebrows and jaw structure though.
19. For some reason, I headcanon Harry was born on the evening. Like, around 7 or 8. I really don't know why.
20. Harry doesn't know it, but he is attractive. I mean, I'm not sure I mentioned it, but girls in books 5 and 6 start looking at him, and sure, he is the Boy-Who-Lived, but if he wasn't attractive there wouldn't be that many attempts to dose him with love potion. Also, he is the son of James and Lily, so the potential there is high.
21. I'd like to think he keeps the ability to speak Parseltongue even after Voldemort dies and the Horcrux is gone. I like to think the Horcrux wasn't the only reason he could speak it. Like, in my headcanon, Lily is a descendant from a Gaunt family squib line and that's why Voldy's soul triggered the Parseltongue gene that was already there. So, in my version of the books in my head, Harry could still speak it even after book 7.
Like, these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

Hi! I'm not 100% sure if this has already been asked or not, I quickly checked your masterlist but I didn't read everything but I was just thinking about Crowley's "We've been talking for millions of years!" When Nina and Maggie told him they should properly talk. And how it doesn't seem to fit with his "How long have we been friends? 6000 years!" To Azi in season 1.
I know you-know-who said that time was different Before The Beginning but in that scene, Aziraphale also mentions "All this will be shut down in about 6000 years." And that moment genuinely seems to be their first time of meeting each other. And if it wasn't, had they been talking to each other without knowing each other's name?
So I wanted to know your opinion on it (and I hope this makes sense).
Hi there, @flerken-is-not-a-cat! 💕 Hope you're having a good week so far. Oh, yeah, I have ideas that can make sense of the interesting contradictions about which you're asking. 😉 Flattered you asked & happy to share an opinion. There's chocolate cake, if you'd like some? *gets the plates and puts on the coffee*
How have Crowley & Aziraphale been talking for "millions of years"... and also only been "friends" for "six thousand years"?
Tumblr media
As usual, we're taking a slightly scenic route to get there so if you're also in the mood for related stuff about Crowley's complicated relationship with being a snake-- and if you can pull your eyes past the hypnotic wriggles of the above gif-- you'll probably extra enjoy this one. 🐍
TWs: brief, non-descriptive mentions of abuse (Crowley & Nina as abuse survivors) & suicide ideation (Aziraphale's worry for Crowley in 1862).
There are really two questions we'd have to answer in order to be able to make sense of the topics in your ask:
Why are we shown in several scenes that Crowley and Aziraphale both consider Eden when they first met when we know from 2.01's Before the Beginning scene that they actually met prior to Crowley's fall, and...
If every other scene-- including the "How long have we been friends? Six thousand years!" in The Bandstand Scene-- show them acting as if they've been only talking for just over six millennia, then what does Crowley mean in 2.06 when he tells Maggie and Nina that he and Aziraphale have been talking for "millions of years"?
As you pointed out in your ask, we know that Crowley and Aziraphale met prior to Crowley's fall and started the universe together but we also know that Crowley and Aziraphale both refer to the start of their relationship as if they first met as S1 initially led us to believe that they did-- in The Garden of Eden, just over six thousand years ago.
Why?
Likely, for three, interconnected reasons...
One is that, while they both know that they met prior to Eden, it's unclear if Crowley remembers that first meeting.
Based on how he was empathizing with Gabriel's fragmented flashes of memory in S2, Crowley's memory is also like this. That is what he's telling Gabriel when he talks about how he knows what it is to look "where the furniture isn't."
Tumblr media
If you use Gabriel's memories and how they're presented to the audience in S2 as an example of this, it's easy to see how scary and frustrating this would be for not only Gabriel and Crowley but for the other angels and demons who have had their memories messed with.
That moment when Gabriel gets his memories back and we see them with him gives both the character of Gabriel and the audience all the needed context to understand what he had been saying to Crowley in the scene in the gif above earlier. Between the Ineffable Bureaucracy flashback and what Crowley sees in Heaven of Gabriel's trial, the disconnected, context-less snippets that Gabriel could remember-- the matchbox, the "institutional problem", etc..-- come together into a cohesive narrative that makes total sense to us and, thankfully, also Gabriel, who can be more at peace since getting his memories back.
Crowley really hasn't had this experience with his memories in this way. His memory from prior to his fall is still very fragmented and he is shown in his interactions with Beez about The Book of Life to not really trust himself on his own memories when he goes from being sure he remembered it correctly to defaulting to Beez on the topic. The reason why he's so unsure about his memories is because he has so many holes in his memory that he cannot feel like he can fully trust it because, for all he knows, he could remember one thing but then still be forgetting another thing which would completely change the context of the first thing.
It might be that Crowley does remember Before the Beginning but it also might be that he can only remember a snippet or two of it. He also might not remember any of it at all. We don't know.
It's also possible that he didn't initially remember any of it and then has since been able to recall maybe at least some of it. His interactions with Gabriel and Beez in S2 are basically saying that Crowley has been able to recall some things from prior to his fall but the implication of these scenes is also that attempting to recall pre-fall memories has been a very painful, very difficult process for Crowley.
It's not a process that honestly seems like it's been wildly successful for him. He has had some recall but nowhere near the instant zap of his memory back like Gabriel had with The Fly. I think we all can agree that Crowley has probably tortured himself half to death trying to remember Before the Beginning but whether or not he's been fully or partially successful so far is unknown.
So, the point is that Crowley's fall impacted his ability to recall Before the Beginning and it's not totally clear what, if any of it, he remembers. It likely isn't a full, shared memory between Crowley and Aziraphale, which would relate it to sadness and to Crowley's fall more than really make Before the Beginning be about the two of them. In this way, if they say they met beginning from when they both can remember doing so in Eden, then they have the memory of that as part of the shared history between them.
Additionally, there is the other way that Crowley's fall makes Before the Beginning a potentially complicated time to consider their first meeting and that's because of what we learn in S2 through the stories of Muriel and Gabriel about the memory threat to angels.
In S2, it becomes apparent that Heaven will also take the memory of angels that they don't necessarily then cast to Hell. This tells us that not only is there the problem of Crowley's ability to recall Before the Beginning but that, hanging over Crowley and Aziraphale, there has always been the possibility of Aziraphale's memories being taken by Heaven.
Right now, the implication in the story is that Aziraphale is carrying the full memory of Before the Beginning for both of them. We've seen evidence that Crowley and Aziraphale are doing things to try to circumvent what they can of the effect of memory loss for Aziraphale, in the event that it should ever happen, but the threat of it has been something they've had to consider all along.
If Crowley indeed cannot remember anything or much of anything about Before the Beginning and if Aziraphale were then to lose his memories, their first meeting in the stars would be lost to them entirely.
It could be that one of the reasons why they decided to make Eden when they consider they met is that it's after Crowley's fall and he would remember it so, in the event that Aziraphale's memories were ever taken from him, Crowley would be still able to tell him how they met. It's a way of trying to be in control of their own story together and make it so that they can still have a memory of a first meeting between them, even if it's not technically the very first time they met.
These reasons, while important, are likely not the top reason why they choose to recognize Eden as the first time they met, though-- at least not from Aziraphale's point of view. There's one more reason why that I can think of...
Tumblr media
While it's abundantly obvious that Aziraphale had a massive crush on Angel!Crowley, it's even far more abundantly obvious that the person Aziraphale is in love with is the one who has been his best friend for the last six thousand years.
It's the demon that he met in The Garden of Eden.
It is very important to Aziraphale to stress that he feels that way to Crowley and one of the ways that he does is to say that their love story began when they met after Crowley's fall.
Tumblr media
Yes, Aziraphale found Crowley attractive as an angel, too, but the eyes that angel looked into and fell in love with are Crowley's pair of vavoomy, yellow, serpentine ones. Aziraphale liked Angel!Crowley but he's fallen in love with the demon Crowley. Yes, it's all the same person... but it's also not all the same person. Aziraphale recognizing that is a way of making Crowley feel seen and loved.
By never missing an opportunity to show or tell Crowley how much he loves aspects of him that are related to Crowley being a demon-- like how frequently he likes to show and tell Crowley how much those eyes of his undo him-- Aziraphale is emphasizing that he loves Crowley as Crowley is.
Tumblr media
We are shown that Crowley has a complicated relationship with being a snake that is metaphorical for a lot of the abuse he's suffered as a result of his fall and Satan. People can heal from trauma but they cannot reverse the fact that they've suffered it. Surviving it is something that never ends and it involves a lot of reclamation of the self. Some of this is shown a lot in Crowley's story through his struggles with his identity, such as in his forming new ones to counteract different aspects of being Crawley and a snake, which he associates with forced subjugation.
Since becoming a snake was forced upon him, it's symbolic of understandable struggle to adjust to becoming the survivor he never asked to have to become.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He rejects the name that came with it, eventually throwing over the "bit too squirming at your feet-ish" Crawly for Crowley, inspired by hiding himself in plain sight a la he did with Job's goats and being not a snake but a crow who flies free and serves no master. It's a name only Aziraphale really understands, showing how Aziraphale has been there and supportive throughout Crowley's on-going process.
Rejecting the old sense of self that is associated with abuse and weakness can be an empowering thing but even more so is getting to a state of acceptance that involves finding a sense of strength in what you've survived and incorporating that as part of your self-definition.
That's why Crowley and Aziraphale both frame it with the truth that is that Crowley isn't just a snake... Crowley is the damn snake.
He's The Serpent of Eden.
Tumblr media
Being The Serpent is kind of the ultimate reclamation of self for Crowley because it's taking this thing of being a snake that was forced upon him that changed him, inside and out, forever, and that is tied up with-- and metaphorical for-- all the other abuse that did the same, and owning the hell out of it.
They made him a snake and his fuck you is to own the fact that he then became the most powerful, legendary, and impactful snake of all fucking time. The Serpent does not squirm at anyone's feet. He freed mankind. He is unbreakable, and made stronger for having survived.
So, Aziraphale is all about supporting that and it helps that he's genuinely into it to a rather obviously high degree. 😂 Our angel has a *tries to count* idk, like, ten different scenes canonical kink for The Serpent's eyes-- and it's hardly the only serpentine thing they've got going on...
Tumblr media
The point is that they didn't meet Before the Beginning because Angel!Crowley isn't Aziraphale's partner-- that black-clad survivor known as the demon Crowley is.
They're all the same person but they're also not. There is still plenty of Angel!Crowley that lives in Demon!Crowley but Demon!Crowley is also someone who has seen a great deal of pain and loving him means acknowledging that. Aziraphale is loving him well, and in a very trauma-informed way, by having their story begin with when he truly met that Crowley in Eden.
Tumblr media
Ok, great, you're probably saying-- makes sense that they see it as having been the last six thousand years since Eden, but... then what about Crowley saying "millions of years" to Maggie and Nina?
So, the funny part here, imho, is that it's only really because of Crowley and Aziraphale being quasi-immortal beings who existed prior to the creation of Earth that we're even debating the possibility that Crowley meant "millions of years" literally. There are two layers to what Crowley is saying in that scene but the surface layer of it, imho, is just that he's simply exaggerating.
He's using "millions of years" in the same way that I said to my friend the other day that I was pretty sure I had read a book by the author we were discussing "a million years ago" but I couldn't remember exactly when. Although I have long been suspected of being a supernatural being, I can assure you that I am not millions of years old and so meant that figuratively. I'm sure that Crowley did, too, and that's also how Maggie and Nina took it-- as was Crowley's intention.
But, since Crowley and Aziraphale are quasi-immortal supernatural beings... let's look at whether or not Crowley saying "millions of years" is a possible thing, based on what we currently know.
Like you mentioned in your ask, Aziraphale mentions the concept of years in Before the Beginning when he says that the plan is to shut Earth down again "in about six thousand years." Crowley also mentioned years when he said how long his stars would need to bake. The concept of a year wasn't unfamiliar to either of them in Before the Beginning. Time seems to have been measured by Heaven in years at this point.
There is a joke about the concept of time, though-- Crowley saying he's been waiting to start his stars "since, well, always"-- but that might actually just be saying that Crowley's literally done not much else since he came into existence but work on these stars. We don't know how long that took. Part of that is because we don't actually know when or how it all began-- and neither, it would appear, do the angels. We have no idea how long any of the angels were around before the Before the Beginning scene.
Like you mentioned, Before the Beginning does seem like the first time they met. I think it's meant to satisfy the itch for a glimpse of Angel!Crowley and also to bookend a season that ends with Aziraphale falling. Between the opening scene leading to Crowley's fall and the final one that is doing the same with Aziraphale's are stories related to both. In each one, Hell orbits closer-- Aziraphale's first pass with feeling like he would fall in the Job minisode; Hell stalking and nearly capturing them in 1941; Crowley being dragged to Hell practically out of Aziraphale's arms in 1827.
Do I think there's some aspects of Before the Beginning that, if you wanted to squint a bit, you could theorize that it's maybe not really the very first time they've met? I mean... yeah but only because once they established in the show that angels' memories can be zapped by Heaven whenever, they made it theoretically possible that Before the Beginning wasn't the first time Crowley and Aziraphale met.
Is Aziraphale re-introducing himself to a memory-wiped Crowley? Was Aziraphale actually like Muriel and had a whole other identity that Crowley had met before but then showed up like it was the first time and said "I'm Aziraphale"? All would make fun fanfic and are theoretically possible but I'm not sure it's entirely what we're supposed to take away from the scene.
I'm fairly sure we're meant to see Before the Beginning as the very first time Crowley and Aziraphale ever met. Even if they had considered maybe playing with that canonically in S3-- and I don't think that was something that was going to happen-- it's so incredibly unimportant to the story right now. We have an hour and a half left so I think it's very safe to say that we will get to the end of Good Omens with Before the Beginning as the first chronological meeting still intact.
One of the most relevant lines to a sense of time in Before the Beginning is the one you mentioned in your ask-- Aziraphale telling Crowley that the plan was to shut "all this down again in about six thousand years." This says that Before the Beginning is taking place relatively closely in time to Eden, as Armageddon: Round One began in Year 6,004 of Earth. It would seem that Before the Beginning is meant to have been their first meeting and that it occurred within a handful of years prior to Eden.
That would make it difficult to think that they'd actually been talking for millions of years prior to that and that they somehow managed to elude memory-wipes enough to know that. Fun fic idea but I don't think it's what the show is saying.
One of the strongest reasons why I think it's their real, first meeting is actually how the story has built Maggie and Nina's first interactions to parallel it. I think that most of us have a general feeling from Before the Beginning that Aziraphale and Crowley had seen each other in passing and had maybe exchanged the odd word before-- which is akin to Maggie and Nina, who worked across the street from one another and who had spoken prior to their "first meeting" scenes.
Between Aziraphale zipping over, clearly thrilled to bits at the opportunity to have an excuse to talk to Crowley, and Crowley acting like he's familiar with who this angel is in a "I know who you are-- you're the skinny latte" sort of way, Before the Beginning isn't really the first time they ever laid eyes on one another, exactly, so much as it's the first time they've spoken privately and more extensively.
One of my favorite visual parallels in the show is one reinforcing Before the Beginning and Maggie & Nina, which is what David Tennant and Nina Sosanya do with mirroring one another's movements in these scenes below. See how they help reinforce the scenes as paralleling ones by both looking away because they're unable to stop smiling at the sparkly-eyed angel who is pretty obviously hitting on them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of them are as attracted to the angel in their midst as Maggie and Aziraphale are attracted to them. We know the motivation behind Nina's hesitation and that's reiterated in the subsequent scenes between her and Maggie when Nina starts mentioning her partner. Maggie and Nina are each both paralleling aspects of Crowley and Aziraphale-- sometimes at once, sometimes in different ways in different scenes. Just as Nina's relationship with Lindsay is echoing Aziraphale's feeling of abandonment at the hands of Heaven/God in different scenes, she's also a Crowley parallel and her abusive relationship with Lindsay is a variant of Crowley and then-Lucifer/Satan.
One potential reason for Crowley not giving Aziraphale his name in Before the Beginning is that, like Nina, there is likely the controlling partner that the sweet, interested angel doesn't know about. There is a sense of being trapped and feeling afraid of being hurt or of getting the angel hurt should the partner learn of this interaction that is making them close off a little.
So, anyway, we just said there's no literal "millions of years" but before we look at that other layer to "millions of years" that isn't just exaggeration here? Just look for a moment at a couple of other times in the series when time-related figures of speech have been used to make the sense of time a bit less literal...
One time figure of speech is in one of the very scenes we've been discussing here: the one on the wall in Eden. God's narration says how many days have passed since Earth was created?
"Rather more than seven." It looks to be a bit of a joke on Genesis and the idea of God creating the Earth in seven days and seven as a perfect number. [Michael in the Job minisode: "You know God and sevens."] The way this is phrased indicates that a significant number of days greater than seven had transpired before the scene we watched of Crowley and Aziraphale on the wall watching Adam & Eve leave The Garden. How many? We don't know. "Rather more" means "more than a few" but it's intentionally vague and interpretable. It's not an excessively huge number but it's not a small number, either.
It is, really, an enormously funny way to suggest to the reader/viewer that figuring out for how long they were in Eden is barking up the wrong tree because it's not something considered at all essential to the story.
Whether you think they were there for thirty days or six months or three years really doesn't matter. 'It was rather more than seven days and feel free to do whatever with that you think is reasonable' is the general attitude. What matters more is noticing how the wording states that it doesn't matter rather than trying to solve it. I think it's kind of like a word version of the Gabriel and the box situation in 2.01, in terms of what's important is to note what details are being said are kind of immaterial to the story.
The other one is an example of a time-related figure of speech that they make intentionally impossible to take literally and, as such, is more vague than it might originally appear to be. That is in the S1 script book and it's the note that, when Crowley arrives in the church in 1941, that he and Aziraphale haven't spoken "in a hundred years."
Both within the script book itself and in the show itself, we cannot take this literally for the simple fact that, even if you think that Crowley and Aziraphale didn't speak from their 1862 holy water fight until 1941, that's not "a hundred years"-- that's seventy-nine years.
That's a lot closer to being seventy-five years than it is one hundred so why wouldn't it say in the script book "haven't spoken in over seventy-five years" or something to that effect? Because it's not referencing "in a hundred years" literally but figuratively... and that completely and utterly changes the amount of time we're talking about.
It's referencing the way people will say that they feel like haven't seen or talked to someone they're fond of "in a hundred years!" if it's been awhile since they last saw them. No one ever means literally in a hundred years. It's just a way to say that it feels like it's been too long.
The measure of time in the figurative "in a hundred years" is entirely dependent on the people seeing one another again and what they both consider a long time apart, right? It's wildly subjective.
It could have been a surprisingly short amount of time since they had last seen one another prior to the church in 1941, which would also go along with how their reactions to seeing one another in the church are not really in line with the idea that they haven't seen one another in decades.
Not to mention that Aziraphale, in 1862, was concerned by the holy water request that Crowley was exhibiting signs of suicide ideation. Storm off in a huff for a few hours after the argument, sure, but not talking to him when he thought Crowley was suicidal is just not on. He might have felt uncomfortable for a long time about giving Crowley the supernatural equivalent of a gun but he didn't not talk to him.
Supporting this are other scenes that show that they were in contact between 1862 and 1941, like this scene below in 1.01, in which Aziraphale tells/reminds Crowley that he picked up a dozen cases of Chateauneuf-de-Pape for their "special occasions" when? In 1921...
Tumblr media
Why would Aziraphale be investing in 1921 in a dozen cases (that's 144 bottles) of a favorite vintage of wine he and Crowley enjoy drinking on their special occasions if he and Crowley hadn't spoken to one another since 1862?
1921 is just 20 years before 1941, too... but a couple of scenes in S2 narrow that time window ahead of 1941 even more.
Aziraphale mentions "90 years ago" to Crowley in reference to their relationship and The Bentley and, later, Shax has one of the most interesting bits of timeline-referencing in the series when she tells Aziraphale when she remembers first hearing rumors about him and Crowley being lovers.
Tumblr media
Referencing "90 years ago" in these scenes is actually referencing the 1930s. In the scene between Crowley and Aziraphale, it's showing that they were together during the 1930s and that is reinforced by the later scene with Shax, which surprises by having her not just say "80 years."
If Shax had only said "80 years ago" in the scene in the present with Aziraphale, the audience would have assumed that Shax had first heard about the possibility of Crowley and Aziraphale being an item in 1941. Instead, they have her say "80, 90 years ago", implying that she actually had heard a rumor about Crowley and Aziraphale in the 1930s.
Since she says "80, 90 years ago", she's probably actually referring to the late 1930s... which means the show's timeline actually just narrowed its "a hundred years" since the last time Crowley and Aziraphale spoke prior to 1941 as less than the number of years we can count on one hand... at the most. It could well be even less than that.
So, the point is that the story will use measures of time in a figure-of-speech sort of way at times so "millions of years" is an example of that. It's an exaggeration that just means that Crowley and Aziraphale have been talking for a long time... but this is where the other layer comes in and make this even funnier.
There are a bunch of scenes wherein Crowley and Aziraphale are each on their own but where they choose to phrase their responses to outsiders-- angels, demons, and humans alike-- using the hidden language they made up to mask their speech and flirt, even though they are the only one in that moment that understands the euphemistic, hidden level of it. The S1 scene below shows why:
Tumblr media
They do it so that, when they've met up again later on and are talking about what happened in their days when they were apart, they can crack each other up with their recounting of what was said.
In the above scene, as looked at in another post, Crowley and Aziraphale are really laughing because Hell thinks that Aziraphale-as-Crowley asked them for the little yellow duck toy that kids play with in the bathtub known as a rubber duck and that joke is, as always, funny in its own right. Aziraphale was bursting at the seams to tell Crowley that he asked Hell for a rubber duck, though, because, to the two of them? It's euphemistic for an, ahem, personal pleasure device.
Tumblr media
Using their hidden language/cant vocabulary around other people with the intent to share the amusing wordplay later on with one another is a way to make each other laugh and also appears to be a way for both of them to manage stress while interacting with head office or irritating humans. They can get through it by knowing that they are going to tell one another later what words they chose to sound one way on a surface level but that which were actually full of innuendo on a second level.
Tumblr media
This is relevant because Crowley, irritated with Maggie and Nina, starts doing this during their conversation in 2.06 and the "millions of years" line is part of the multi-level reply.
When Maggie and Nina show up back at the bookshop in 2.06 and say they need to talk to him, Crowley is already telling them it's not a good time. When he hears what it is they apparently have to say right that moment, he is very over this conversation.
Crowley cannot imagine a more bizarre conversation than this and he's ticked about it because he just spent the week trying to help these two who wouldn't have ever gotten this far without his help and now, here they are, acting like they have the first clue about him and Aziraphale.
Crowley, transcending to another astral plane of what-the-fuckery, as Maggie is smug and Nina is busting out The Grumpy One Is Soft For The Sunshine One...
Tumblr media
So, when Maggie says that he and Aziraphale don't talk, Crowley is so annoyed by this ridiculousness that he actually answers her in a way that incorporates his and Aziraphale's hidden language, which he knows that Maggie and Nina won't understand-- and that's the point.
Crowley is thinking that, at some point later on when Aziraphale comes back, he and Aziraphale are going to talk about this conversation that Crowley had with Maggie and Nina, as they talk about everything, and when they do, it'll be extra-amusing to them both that Crowley started replying to being told that he and Aziraphale don't talk with the hidden language they invented as a result of talking for thousands of years.
Crowley knows that Aziraphale is going to find these young women giving Crowley romantic advice to be hilarious so he starts using the cant so that he can make Aziraphale laugh later when he tells him how he replied.
Here's where we'll see how we can square "a million years" with "six thousand years" using some of Crowley's wordplay...
Tumblr media
Part of the speak is built around word history. The word million comes from the Latin mille and that root word actually means...
...one thousand.
So, if you're wording in Crowley and Aziraphale's nightingales speak and you say millions on the surface, you can actually really be saying thousands on the level of that hidden cant vocabulary.
On the surface to Maggie and Nina, Crowley sounds like he's just exaggerating in saying that they've been talking forever by saying they've been talking for "millions of years"-- and he is also doing that-- but the amount of time is more accurate in the layer of this that is hidden language, where he's saying they've been talking for thousands of years.
That matches what we said above, as the "six thousand years" we've heard them say before is actually, in their speak, the same thing as "millions of years."
But then there's also what talking is to Crowley and Aziraphale and this is when Maggie and Nina's comments get even funnier...
Talking is, as it always is everywhere, communication. To Crowley and Aziraphale, talking is any form of communication with one another. Different scenes show that it can just be openly discussing things without any particular play on words happening-- just regular conversation. It can also be wording each other-- flirting in their speak.
In 1941, Part 2, Crowley is actually using the word talk in that speak to refer to the two of them wording, which Aziraphale had just begun to do in the scene and to which Crowley was replying when he said "talking of improving", instead of the more correct "speaking of improving"...
Tumblr media
Talking is all forms of communication and, surprising no one given Aziraphale checking Crowley out while they're wording in the above scene, talking is also sex.
Crowley pushes back against Maggie saying that he and Aziraphale don't talk by saying, with an euphemistic layer barely hidden in there:
"We talk all the time. We've been doing it for millions of years."
With talking = regular talking/wording/sex and millions = thousands, plus: the hilariously juvenile "we've been doing it for millions thousands of years", then when Maggie is all you should tell Mr. Fell that you *like*-like him!, Crowley's response is basically...
He already knows I love him. We say it in a thousand ways when we're talking... which we have been doing, in different ways, since we first met in The Garden. He's been my lover for thousands of years.

What about blush for the way to kiss prompt? 👀😊
[ blush ] for a kiss on the cheek
Here's 700-ish words of Buck being sleepy and pining, a mix that leaves him with none of his usual reserve resulting in a blushy Bucky 💕 I hope it can cheer you up a bit, Ame 🥺❤️ Also on AO3
Tumblr media
Buck has too much to do and too little sleep, or alternatively, coffee, in his veins to be an amiable company. Yet John still insists on driving him to the mess with the jeep he isn't supposed to have and Gale can't say no; he's too tired to walk the 20 minutes to the mess or to bike there. Bucky's driving might just wake him up a bit actually.
Except that 2 minutes in he finds himself dozing off, despite the bumps he knows to be on the road. Either he's more tired than he thought and hasn't even registered they'd passed them or John is driving deliberately slowly. The thought shakes him from his imminent slumber to find Bucky looking careful of all things as he drives the jeep, slowing down before each bump, driving them smoothly down the road. He hasn't even spoken a word since the engine roared to life, and warmth blooms deep in Gale's chest, spreading to his very toes as though back in Wyoming, lounging in a field under the summer sun.
Of course, Bucky would notice his being quieter than usual and offer him a relaxing drive to give him a few more precious minutes of sleep.
However, Bucky thinking Gale would prefer silence over his chatter is nothing short of unacceptable.
Rubbing the last remnants of sleep off his eyes with his hand, he wills himself awake and ignores the exhaustion still clinging on to the marrow of his bones.
"You gettin' breakfast with me?" Bucky startles at his voice and frowns at him, as though surprised to see him awake. A sudden fear grips at Gale's heart that the other would offer to sing him to sleep but to his relief, John only rumbles a negative noise as he pulls to a stop to let mechanics cross the road.
"I'm Meatball's lawyer for the morning," that does peak Gale's interest, the mention of the dog enough to bring a light smile to his face. Nonetheless, the engine rumbling underneath him doesn't help his battle with sleep so Gale pinches at the bridge of his nose in hopes it would wake him up. Next to him, John observes him silently for a moment, mouth doing that little quirk it does when he wants to speak but hasn't decided on what to say yet.
The little mole on his chin is entirely too distracting for Gale's sleep-addled mind.
"What does Meatball need a lawyer for?" In Gale's opinion, the dog could do no wrong except howling his ears off when Benny puts him on a plane but apparently, one English farmer has a different opinion, according to John. Eyes slipping closed, lulled by the movements of the car and John's voice -which is decidedly quieter and softer than usual but that's something for future Gale to mull over, he decides-, he drifts in and out of sleep, a fake New-yorker accent washing over him like the warm breeze of summer spent in golden fields. There's a fleeting warmth on his left knee, and if his eyes weren't glued shut he'd open them to check it is what he thinks it is, the broadness and warmth of John's palm unmistakable, but as it is, he can only find comfort in it.
The next thing he knows, the car is pulling to a stop and Gale startles awake at the clamor of men leaving the mess, joyous chatter too loud in his ears compared to John's soothing voice.
From the entrance of the building, Benny calls out his name then gestures inside, probably to let him know he'd save him a seat and Gale nods, a bit saddened the drive was so short. On his left, John is drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, exchanging a few quips with passersby and he looks so handsome in the early morning light, so sweet in his care that Gale's still not fully awake mind cannot find a reason not to lean over to feel a clean-shaven cheek against his lips.
Mint and the distinctive smell of John's cologne surround him for a moment that is definitely too short, and all he can think about is how it would feel, now that he knows how soft John's cheek is, to kiss his lips and the coarse hair of his mustache. Against him, John freezes but barely a second passes before Gale mutters a "Thanks for the ride, Bucky" and slips out of the jeep and into the mess.
Behind him, John stares bewildered at his back, mouth slightly open in shock and ears red as berries, slowly bringing his hand to his cheek to trace the ghost of Gale's soft lips with his fingers.
What just happened?

Hiii💕💕💕 Could you please make some hc with musashi and jun from baki please?
Yet another ancient request, so sorry about it. I've been struggling to think of a context, but as Valentine's Day approached, I thought, "Well, might as well turn this into a special". So here it is. I'm adding two-three extra characters for a bundle. Sorry for the wait. :')
Baki Headcanons: Valentine's Day Special
Featuring Jun Guevaru, Musashi Miyamoto, Baki Hanma, Chiharu Shiba and Pickle. And Reader as their Valentine! (Written according to Western customs for the sake of a pampered Reader)
Tumblr media
Jun Guevaru
Jun is a hopeless romantic and might actually enjoy Valentine's Day even more than you do. Mind you, the holiday itself is as superficial as it gets, and you've heard his philosophies one too many times; the enticing part is having an excuse to go all out and proclaim his affections for you in the most extravagant way possible. Can you blame him? He loves to show off. And you, sweet (Y/N), happen to be his most prized possession. A man will always be guilty of following his heart.
Although don't expect some cheap American fabrication that glorifies consumerism. His Valentine's Day isn't about that. Love can't be expressed through chocolate or flowers, at least not in his opinion. It's about raw feelings. The word, the tender caress. You can leave it to him to verbalize such depth. After all, he didn't unite an entire country with sheer luck. He is a charismatic leader and, most importantly, a passionate lover. His poetic speeches and sung praise will leave you entranced.
He, too, may be tempted to use the element of surprise. Perhaps through an overly formal letter expressing his utmost disappointment that he won't be able to see you on this particular date. Prison technicalities, you must understand. Nothing he can do about it. Then, when you least expect it, he'll pull you into a most desperate embrace. Oh, he missed you so much. He'll be ready to serenade you, take you places, whisper sweet nothings. You'll feign shock and surprise; you already guessed he wouldn't miss the chance to spoil you, but you do enjoy going along with his games. "Surely you didn't expect me to leave you alone on such a day, my beloved", he'll reassure you fondly. Allow him to prove himself anew.
Musashi Miyamoto
Musashi does not quite understand all of the particularities such a holiday entails. Nor would he normally care for the mundane customs of the modern world. Yet he has noticed the switch of your tone whenever you mention the approaching date. The sheepish glances towards the mysterious heart-themed merch. For someone as observant as him, your excitement is ridiculously clear, no matter how much you shake your head in denial. If his partner wants it, he might as well entertain it. Why not?
Thus, he will begin his little research. What is it that piques your interest to such a degree? He might employ the other fighters to enlighten him on the matter. An amusing sight, if one considers it: the legendary samurai, pacing back and forth as Tokugawa stumbles to follow behind. "W-what about this?" The old man will humbly suggest. "Oooh, fascinating. Yes, yes." He'll respond, holding his chin thoughtfully. "However, it's not (Y/N)'s style. Next."
Keep in mind that Musashi will tailor everything to fit his nature. Flowers? Maybe. All the other modern knick-knacks? Forget it. He'll do you one better. Something you won't expect, because it's a gift meant for his time and age. After a long, frustrating search, he finds what he's looking for. A most unusual sight, but something that represents him indeed. He will proudly extend to you a small, slender kodachi with his family's name inscribed on the scabbard. What greater honor than to share his love and passion? The weapon has been carefully built to his standards, so you may defend yourself if such a need ever arises. For Musashi himself to curate a sword bearing his name, you might as well count it as a proposal.
Pickle
Lately, Baki has been focused on things beyond Pickle's understanding. The only time he'd seen the young boy so excited was before a match. On the other hand, what kind of opponent would Baki be fighting where bizarre, heart-shaped items are required? After a lot of gesturing, rudimentary explanation and show-and-tell demonstration, it finally clicks: it's a special occasion, not preparations for battle.
An occasion that doesn't involve just Baki and Kozue, but, by the looks of it, anyone with a mate. The idea pumps his heart with excitement. Is it something he could celebrate with his own (Y/N)? In that case, he absolutely wants to be part of it. Pickle demands to be shown the ropes, so he, too, can impress his partner. Not that he's not already showing his love (and ownership) with every opportunity.
And so here you are, standing outside your apartment, utterly baffled, shocked, speechless. Pickle has surprised you many times before with his horny mischief and troublemaker shenanigans, but never in your wildest dreams would you have imagined him showing up with balloons, chocolate and a date itinerary on Valentine's Day. You retrieve the little list from his massive hands - he probably can't even read anything on it - and scan over the text. Someone definitely helped him compile everything. Judging from the varied handwriting, it must've been a group effort from Lord knows how many fighters who enjoyed themselves way too much in aiding Pickle's romancing game. Nonetheless you're impressed, just as the prehistoric man had hoped. He sees your blushing face and immediately grins with pride. Who knows, maybe his efforts will be rewarded handsomely (you won't be walking straight until March).
Baki Hanma
Among the other men, Baki may be the only one to show unironic enthusiasm towards the upcoming holiday. He likes cute things (you included) and there's no shame in it. His focus has been switching between training, fighting in the Arena, and more training. He's looking forward to a little break, especially one that allows him to spend time with you.
He's not secretive about the process, either. He'll show up at your place with a stack of flyers and scribbled notes, asking you to trim down activities with him. Worry not, he has compiled an extensive list of available events for couples, as well as places to visit and general ideas. After all, part of the fun is to plan everything with you. Can you tell he's excited? Kneeling at the table and flipping through the options with a wide grin on his face, you can almost discern a wagging tail materializing behind him.
He could be slightly biased towards activities that allow him to impress you. A Valentine's Day fair, for example, is such a cheesy idea, but he can't resist the temptation to show off. "Beat the high score and win the prize" blinking in flashy colors above one of those boxing arcade machines? Oops! He was trying to hold back, but he ended up dislodging the whole thing from the ground. Sorry, (Y/N), he simply forgets how strong he is, sometimes. Something hard to avoid, given you’re his greatest motivation. Aren’t you proud of your boyfriend? Do praise the poor boy, he’s been itching to receive your affection. It’s been an eternity! Or maybe half an hour, but still.
Chiharu Shiba
Chiharu isn't one to care much for holidays and under regular circumstances he would probably forget about it, too, were it not for the aid of capitalism and heavy commercial propaganda. Therefore, it's hard to ignore the rapidly approaching date given the blaring ads and themed products found on every shelf. Oh, well. He loves spoiling you and he certainly won't miss an opportunity to declare his love in the most cheesy, predictable manner.
He might be a tad cheeky about the entire business. "Valentine's Day? Hmmm..." He'll hum, thoughtfully, feigning mild indifference. It's a difficult task: seeing you cast your eyes down, perhaps a little disappointed, makes him want to smash his own head into the first telephone pole. No one should ever dare to upset you in the slightest - him included! - he thinks, enraged. He struggles to fight the urge. It's for a good cause. Just a few days left. Do forgive him, darling (Y/N).
He'll surprise you in the ways he knows best. Maybe some fresh, heart shaped decals decorating the gas tank of his motorcycle. A flashy, pink tokko-fuku (or uniform jacket) with a particular slogan embroidered on its back. Whatever it is, he'll make sure everyone is aware of his cause. While he might not be the best with words, his actions will be loud and clear. He'll hand you a helmet and gesture for you to hop on the back of his bike. He planned a day-long road trip for the two of you. What's nicer than feeling the wind, the freedom, the warmth of your small arms tightly wrapped around him? He doesn't need overly sophisticated restaurants or whatever else comes with the package. Some great sights and you by his side, and he's the happiest man on this planet. To think someone like him would be privileged enough to gaze at a pretty little thing like you.

Can you rank the sdv bachelors/bachelorettes on who would adjust the best/worst to farm life? I'm curious on your opinion :))
Sure thing, let's do a ranking on our marriage candidates 😃 Thanks for the ask, dear anon! 🫰💕
Also, I think it's worth saying that I think all candidates will adjust well to their new life on the farm. This is where I described and judged candidates when they first moved onto the farm, from day one. This is just my opinion, so if you think differently, feel free to write about it here in replies!
_____________________________
SDV bachelors:
Shane gets a confident 8.5/10. After all, he didn't get the nickname "chicken man" for nothing, as he takes excellent care of hens on his aunt's ranch. So much so that he's bred his own breed of blue chickens! Plus, I'm sure Shane has helped Marnie take care of other animals while in the barn, and knows a fair bit about growing crops (at least his favourite hot peppers). So he will adapt almost instantly!
I'll probably get some hate for this, but I'll give Elliott a 1/10. With all due respect to our gallant writer, he literally has a quote where he says he "won't water the plant with salt water this time." ...Who would ever think of watering a freshwater plant with salt water, even without a background in gardening? So it's going to take Elliott a long time to adjust to life on a farm, especially if it's a Beach Farm ("Don't water the tomatoes with seawater!").
Normally Sam's mother, as she herself claimed, didn't make him and Vincent do house work, and there's no garden or hint of anyone in the family taking care of the houseplants (most likely Jodi doing all the work). So Sammy jumps from the life of a carefree musician to one full of farm chores, at least partially. In fact, he doesn't mind giving it a try, just doesn't know where to start ("Honey, help me"). 3/10, he's a little confused, but he got the spirit.
Being constantly busy working with patients, despite the small size of the town, and a bunch of other things to do in his clinic, certainly doesn't leave Harvey enough free time to do much gardening. But at least there's some time to read books, and the library just happens to have a couple of interesting ones about farming. I think it will at least give him the opportunity to grow tomatoes in a pot (albeit decorative ones). It's going to be a lot harder with farming, but Harvey even likes it. Still, 3.5/10, he's trying.
Similar situation with Sam, Sebastian will jump from a life of freelance programming work to the farm work. Of course Farmer won't force Sebby to work for them, after all they love him for who he is, not as free labour. But emo himself feels he should help his spouse with their work somehow. He's so-so at growing crops, but taking care of the chickens and goats is much better. 4/10, the black hens are his favourite, btw.
Oh, Alex will fit into farm life quite nicely. The athlete may have difficulty tending crops, watering potatoes and garlic with too much water, but in terms of physical tasks he does just fine. Drag heavy bags of seed/hay? Heck yeah! Load heavy pumpkins into the shipping bin for sale? Easy, he'll do it with one hand! It's like a workout for him. 6.5/10, go Alex!
SDV bachelorettes:
Penny may not have had the opportunity to grow melons or have a small garden near her house (well, trailer in this case), she was constantly reading books about foraging and farming, overflowing with dreams of having her own green place. Soon her dream came true, and all the theory they read was not wasted. Of course, the young teacher will definitely have difficulties, as this is not a small garden but a huge farm, but she will adapt quite well. 7/10, very nice.
4.5/10 for Maru. Actually, she's been a great helper on the farm from the beginning, only her area of expertise was different. Maru will easily fix any broken oil maker or calculate the proportions of minerals for fertiliser, but when asked to take care of the vegetable garden, the young inventor will definitely fall into a stupor. Still, I'm sure she will get used to it, because Maru is a genius, and if she can create an intelligent robot, she can handle growing strawberries as well.
I was going to give Haley the same number of points as Elliott, but I thought her trying to learn how to interact with cows and my idea that she wanted to learn about growing sunflowers deserved another point. So let it be 2/10. Yes, very low, but Haley used to be squeamish of any dirt and smells, so farm life, which is just full of dirt and smells (especially from the barn) will be a bit difficult for a girl.
In general, Leah's knowledge is closer to foraging than to farming, but the talented artist is definitely not afraid of hard work, and has a basic knowledge of growing crops. She definitely offered her then (future) spouse help on the farm several times. Yes, it was flirting, but Leah was actually willing to help carry seeds and water the plants, even had something to share about growing mushrooms on stumps. 7.5/10, she's a great fit.
On the one hand, Abigail has some experience in farming, as Pierre definitely asked her for help in his small vegetable garden behind the shop. On the other hand, the purple-haired girl didn't really show much interest in all this and she seemed to lack patience with plants and flowers before. It's different now, but Abby thought at times that her father and mother's chatter about plants was for a reason after all. 4/10, not too great, but not all bad either.
Emily takes care of the flowers in the house, so some knowledge she has. She loves nature and being outside, that's undeniable. Farming skills? Well... yes and no. Emily is a hard-working bee, but almost all of her time has been taken up at the Saloon, cleaning the house, and a passion for tailoring, so she doesn't have much experience. Still, it's there, and I'd give it a 5/10, but more because of the fact that Emily definitely takes good care of the animals ("My friends")
_________________________________________
So, from best to worst (SDV bachelors):
№1: Shane; №2: Alex; №3: Sebastian; №4: Sam; №5: Harvey; №6: Elliott.
From best to worst (sdv bachelorettes):
№1: Leah; №: Penny; №3: Emily; №4: Maru; №5: Abigail; №6: Haley.

Hey beautiful I am sorry if this offends you but I find you really attractive and I’d like you to be my sugar baby just letting you know my intentions incase you will be interested... we could talk terms and weekly allowance later .... just basically paying for your time 💕
Hm normally I don't reply to those messages, cus I'm not sure if they're real or not. But maybe this time I'll make an exception and reply to it.
Sorry, I don't do abdl for money. I genuinely like wearing diapers and ageplaying. I am a real person, and this is the real me 💗. I buy my own diapers, and my own baby clothes and accessories. My pictures are free, and there's no premium or custom content to be obtained. My blog is free to view and to follow, and you can even look at my website for free ^^. Of course you can send me Asks and DMs, also for free... I have a regular job which pays for my body's demands. I know there's other people out there who do abdl for money, and it doesn't really matter what my opinion on it is, but I don't want to do that.
People have gifted me abdl stuff; diapers, onesies, plastic pants, pacis, bottles, plushies.. but these are gifts (which I am super grateful for), and I'd do this blog and talk to the people who gifted me those even if they had not gifted me those things.
I'm sorry to disappoint you and others with similar requests. I hope that you find what you're looking for.

Hello! I love your meta-analysis of BG3 and share many of the same opinions concerning our boy, Gale. I have an interesting question for you concerning the orbs "volatility" in relation to intimacy (both physical and non-physical). I used to believe it was cannon that Gale couldn't engage in physical intimacy because the Orb may detonate, but when I played as Gale I was able to sleep with Astarion. This is in contrast to when I played as Karlach and couldn't touch anyone.
So, all of this is to ask whether Gale's dialogue at the tiefling party was him protecting himself emotionally or if he truly thought that any excitement would trigger the Orb (ironic given they are fighting for their lives daily)? Additionally is this why the Weave scene only features an imagined kiss rather than a physical one?
thank you so much for the questions!! i’m very glad you enjoy reading my posts 💕
Tumblr media
gale: with my condition being as volatile as it is, i fear any undue, er, excitement, may tip it over the edge. so to speak.
i do believe that gale was being honest in regards to avoiding physical/emotional excitement concerning the orb. his first and foremost priority is to make sure to avoid as many potential triggers as possible, being fully aware of the catastrophe that will occur if he doesn’t keep an eye on his condition at all times. fighting is inevitable given the situation the group found themselves in. on top of that, every single day for the past year alone has quite literally been a life or death situation for him, wondering how much longer he can hold on until the orb inevitably takes over. i also think that he has experienced his fair share of horrors and tough fights in his past, considering his status as an archmage, as well as him being mystra’s chosen. even with his now diminished powers & the tadpole in his head he still remains in his element. magic is his life, it comes as easy to him as breathing.
Tumblr media
gale: i'm what one might call a wizard prodigy, who from an early age could not only control the weave, but compose it, much like a musician or a poet.
more importantly, the devnotes also proof that the orb is indeed the reason for his deflection during the tiefling party:
Tumblr media
gale: i see. then perhaps we see each other in the same light after all. a resplendent one, flush with warmth and anticipation, but one which i must shy away from, for now. node context: still flustered, but pleased to learn you like him romantically. then getting to the point - he can't do anything until the orb is dealt with.
if tav directly tells him to cease the perceived flirting, he will reveal that he considered their relationship to be a "budding romance" at this stage.
Tumblr media
player: if this is an attempt at flirting, you should stop. i'm not interested. gale: right. understood. you shall hear no more on the subject from me. gale: consider this budding romance thoroughly nipped. though i hope our friendship need not come to such an abrupt end.
yet at the same time, he is also completely flustered if tav is the one who initiates the flirting:
Tumblr media
player: do you like having your belly rubbed? gale: the pleasures i experienced in mystra's embrace go far beyond the pleasures of having one's tummy tickled. i remember once, she took the smallest piece of the weave and made it into- gale: wait. are you saying... nodecontext: taking the question seriously, missing the flirtatious side of it. nodecontext: realizing that the player was flirting, getting flustered
regardless of which flirt option tav chooses to pick, the outcome remains the same:
Tumblr media
gale: you know what, i think i've clearly had far too much wine. and you've had nowhere near enough. i think this is a conversation best held back on - for now. nodecontext: flustered, hesitating to explicitly say what he thinks you were offering, then backtracking altogether
while battle naturally is always accompanied by the unpredictable, (as well as the dread of facing a yet unknown enemy) i don’t think he experiences quite the same amount of trepidation as where matters of the heart are concerned. or perhaps it would be more accurate to say it’s an altogether different kind.
the budding relationship with tav is once again unfamiliar territory for him after all those years he went without mortal intimacy, years that have been spent with mystra instead. it’s understandable that he exercises caution at all times, knowing what’s at stake if he lets go for but merely a moment. i also believe gale to be a character who generally goes “all out” once he chooses to be intimate with someone. we know that he doesn’t do casual trysts, friends-with-benefits arrangements, or anything of the sort. instead he wants to build a deep connection first. gale is a romantic through and through, he only feels comfortable being intimate once it has been explicitly established that the emotions he feels for tav are indeed wholly reciprocated. gale puts his whole heart into everything he does, he would’ve felt that it was a disservice to tav if he was only able to give them (according to him) even less than the remaining fragments of a broken man he has to offer — once he decides to give himself, he gives himself fully.
another added factor, however, is that the tiefling party simply wasn’t the right time for him yet, even if he already felt some attraction to them. part of him perhaps would’ve liked to go a bit further, be more direct about his growing fondness for them. spending a night together, just enjoying each other's company, talking until the sun rises, perhaps even sharing their first kiss if he felt that the timing was right — but i don’t think he would’ve considered this to be the appropriate stage in their relationship to sleep with tav either way. orb or no.
gale also tells us this much during the Last Night Alive scene, as well as during the conversation after you just met tara. in an ideal situation he would’ve taken his time, courted tav properly, said it all better.
Tumblr media
gale: if things were different, if we were home, i'd have taken the time to do things properly. to say it all better. but time is short.
Tumblr media
gale: i always imagined what it would be like when you finally got to meet her. this wasn't quite what i had pictured. gale: i thought we'd be in waterdeep. you, curled up before a crackling hearth while i prepared us a ridiculously extravagant meal, served with a batch of my homemade hundur sauce.
time is short.
i always headcanoned gale to be on the demi spectrum. that he needs to build a close bond before sexual intimacy is something that even remotely occurs to him. tav is an anomaly in this regard — he knows he deeply cares for them, emotions that developed even in the short, few months they've known each other, and that he doesn’t have the luxury of time to let their relationship unfold in all the many ways he dreamed of. all he knows is that he loves tav, wholly and truly. and that, by the gods, he has to make the most out of the few extra heartbeats he’s been given. even if his death is inevitable, he will at least be able to show them the depths of his affection. leave them with shared memories of pure tenderness, a knowledge of a love so profound that it might perhaps even prevail way beyond his passing.
Tumblr media
player: what about all we shared together? are you just going to give up? gale: this isn't giving up it's securing victory, at a price i am willing to pay. and everything we shared can live on - with you.
i wouldn’t necessarily say that gale was trying to “protect himself emotionally” during the tiefling party, but rather acted accordingly to the horrifying circumstances the tadpole gang (and especially he himself) find themselves in. i don’t think gale ever really considers a romanced!tav as someone he needs to be guarded around. evident in the way he immediately throws all doors open without any sign of hesitation once he has their assurance that their love is indeed mutual. gale pours his heart out to them regardless, not knowing whether his feelings are truly returned. he is not a character who shies away from being vulnerable by any means. he is an open book, that tav is free to peruse in as they see fit. a slither of trust is all he needs.
Tumblr media
during the weave scene the connection abruptly fades once tav either imagines passionately kissing him or holding his hand during a romantic walk. a scene that again shows that he is genuinely stunned by what he’s being shown. after all, it doesn't happen often that gale of waterdeep is at a loss for words.
Tumblr media
gale: i... i didn't think... narrator: *you perceive quick-fire gusts of embarrassment, trepidation, and finally... elation.* gale: sorry, i wasn't expecting... but it is a pleasant image to be sure! gale: most pleasant, in fact. most welcome. nodecontext: warm, with real affection
i do believe the weave scene in particular to be a turning point for him. sort of an epiphany. the first moment in which he realizes that he actually might like the idea of eventually being with tav as perhaps more than a friend. that he is filled with fondness whenever they’re near and that he is excited to see where their joined travels lead them next.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
player: when i said we could be more than friends, you answered 'perhaps'. what does that really mean? gale: if i recall correctly, the waterdhavian dictionary of the common tongue of faerun defines it as an adverb that conveys the meaning of 'it may be that', or 'possibly'. gale: you see, i'm not a big believer in fate, but i do believe in serendipity. gale: life is a tempest of events that sometimes we brace against and sometimes embrace. gale: you're one such event that, one day soon perhaps, i'd like to embrace.
given my personal hc of gale being demisexual, i genuinely don’t believe that he entertained the thought before that. he was way too preoccupied with other more pressing concerns. his overall condition, the tadpole, mourning the loss of his powers, still dealing with a lingering sense of loneliness and melancholy. a yearning for better times, as well as disillusionment of being cast out and left behind, even if he has already worked through his romantic feelings for mystra and their unilaterally ended relationship by then.
Tumblr media
gale: i'm hardly pining. it's been a year or more since mystra cast me aside.
tav’s advances genuinely catch him off guard, which is, according to my interpretation, also the reason why their shared connection abruptly faded. a general loss of focus. gale immediately bidding tav goodnight to reflect on the situation and sort through his thoughts again shows that this wasn’t how he expected this moment of teaching to unfold. it seems rather uncharacteristic of him to initiate a kiss in this specific scenario. tav was testing the waters, whether it happened intentionally or not, and gale found himself pleasantly surprised by the turn of events.
i also believe that we generally shouldn’t use origin playthroughs as a cross-reference for the actual canon. larian approached each story with more or less detail and there are already so many inconsistencies present that have been pointed out by other players. instead we should see origin pts as an oc kind of scenario — larian handing us the reigns of each origin character, a way for us to have fun and figure out all the atrocities we could possibly come up with. sort of like playing with our own set of barbies. (“go nuts, show nuts” as tunglr staff put it back in the day) for example, playing as w*ll doesn’t lock you out of raiding the grove and spending a steamy night with m*nth*ra right after either. which is something that contradicts everything he stands for/something he wouldn't naturally do. even if you try to play an origin character as close to their canon portrayal as possible, you will still encounter several contradictions and discrepancies during the duration of your game. larian sadly also has a chronic pattern of overlooking gale in terms of content, fixes, and overall responsiveness. so it’s easy to conclude that his origin story simply hasn’t been fleshed out to the same extent & treated with the same amount of care and consideration that certain other characters received. (which is awfully ironic considering he’s been proven to be the most popular origin character, but i digress)
basically, this has been my very long-winded way of saying: the reason why gale refuses to be intimate with tav pre-orb stabilization is indeed because he is afraid of the orb accidentally detonating during a moment of carelessness and/or indulgence, as well as because of gale’s own preferences when sex & romance are concerned.

Sakamoto Days Manga Chapter 173
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank god the current JAA chairman isn't Uzuki's biological brother!! Uzuki's just an orphan who grew up with Gaku and the others in that orphanage. 😩 I would've hated that if he was actually related to the chairman...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Them being runaways!!! 😍🥰 Now I see why people ship them so bad!! 💕💕💕
And my thoughts about the Uzuki-Rion ship vs. the Nagumo-Rion ship...
I'm not one to ship characters unless their relationship is made canon by the mangaka. However, I can understand why people ship Uzuki and Rion together. They have a certain charm, and their interactions in the Sakamoto flashback arc were indeed quite shippable.
On the other hand, the idea of Nagumo and Rion as a couple doesn't hold up. Neither Nagumo nor Rion has ever shown romantic interest in the other. Their dynamic is more akin to that of siblings, with their banter and bickering reflecting a deep friendship rather than a romantic connection. The Nagumo-Sakamoto-Rion trio exemplifies true friendship, portraying how best friends interact and support each other. Throughout the series, Nagumo never exhibits romantic feelings when thinking about Rion; his memories of her are purely platonic.
Some might argue that Nagumo's inability to move on from the past and his obsession with uncovering the truth behind Rion's death suggest romantic feelings. However, this is not the case. Nagumo is simply a person who cannot let go of the past until he solves the mysteries that haunt him. Unlike Sakamoto, who tries to forget the past to lessen his pain, Nagumo needs closure. He is determined to uncover what happened to Rion during the year she disappeared with Uzuki, only to be found dead later with Uzuki beside her. The circumstances are undeniably suspicious, and Nagumo's pursuit of the truth is driven by his loyalty and love for Rion as a best friend, not as a romantic interest.
Consider the circumstances: Rion ran off to catch Uzuki, vanished for over a year, and was then found dead with Uzuki alive by her side. It’s impossible to dismiss this as mere coincidence. This is why Nagumo, even while working for the JAA and the Order, continued to investigate behind the scenes. He needs to understand what truly happened that year. For Nagumo, this isn't about romantic love; it’s about caring deeply for his best friend and seeking justice for her.
This distinction highlights the differences between Sakamoto and Nagumo. Both were deeply hurt and affected by Rion's death and Uzuki's probable involvement, but their coping mechanisms diverged. Sakamoto chose to escape from the pain, trying to forget the past by running away from it. However, this approach worked until the recent events pulled him back into the chaos and forced him to confront these memories, turning him into a fugitive and separating him from his family. Nagumo, in contrast, couldn’t move on without knowing the truth. He needs to uncover what happened to Rion, especially given the suspicious circumstances surrounding Uzuki's survival.
In my opinion, Nagumo and Rion do not share a romantic relationship, nor does Yuto Suzuki-sensei portray them as such. Their relationship is rooted in deep friendship and loyalty. However, I understand why people ship Rion with Uzuki, and I'm eager to delve deeper into their backstory.

*violently slams a sheet of paper on merakiui's bureau* here's a concept...~
mera, you're a fan of octavinelle and the fish mafia. especially tako🐙 fan. you know who has a very interesting dynamic with tako? hebi🐍 azul and jamil have a rivalry of sorts:
"a rivalry is beneficial, yes of course. it leads us to demand more from each other to be above the rest. but my desire to be considered your peer surpasses even that of beating you partners or friends, (maybe something else?), or whatever, the important thing is that with this contract I offer you a truce." (tako)
"kys." (hebi)
you're a fan of azul i'm a fan of jamil. can i make myself understood 😈?
i can't get darling out of my head, she just wants her two friends to get along! but hebi doesn't cooperate and blue is very eccentric T-T tako & hebi who are not only darling's friends, but also have a strong crush on her. tako who offers hebi a contract with no small print. hebi who was going to refuse until darling comes out. what's the deal? simple! darling wants them to get along. darling is friends with both of them. they can agree to share darling. but she's going to have to do her part (get fucked by both at the same time <3)
tako who offers you a contract you would never accept. hebi who, even before you can read any clause, shows you that he has signed. you think. if hebi signed, you are safe! jamil is responsible. are he and azul getting along? sort of, darling, sort of....
hebi who is going to use snake viper on you the first time he and tako are going to share you. tako who claims that nk is needed, the deal you signed already binds you to him and hebi. and little darling oh so ashamed (and, maybe, deep down... excited...?)
i need to hear your opinion on this concept !!!! bye byeeeeee
signed: sicko bite💕 anon
OOOOO THE TAKO AND HEBI RIVALRY!!!!! Truthfully....... after learning Azul struggles to cook and that his only worth in the kitchen is probably his decisive tastebuds I do think Jamil could just win darling over easily because his cooking skills are unrivaled. Hebi does not struggle to chop an onion. Now tako on the other hand....... major yikes on bikes. 😬 very cringe.
I do love this rivalry pairing, though!! Jamil's blood pressure is always going up because Azul is annoying!!!!! T_T so slimy and sleazy,, and tako doesn't hide it because he just exudes those smarmy vibes when he's so outwardly greedy and shady. Jamil's much the same, only he knows to keep those sides of himself a secret. It's not as if you'll ever find out when you're hypnotized to blindly trust and follow whatever it is he says.
To be in between an octopus and a snake...... orz both are schemers who plan in advance for situations. Jamil who has the genius foresight to be two steps ahead always, and Azul who is keen to keep his pace. The two of them vying for you in different ways, bound by a contract you foolishly signed. I like to imagine it's a dynamic where everyone has signed the contract, but it's basically just this:
Darling: omg yay!! My two favorite people can get along now. :D happy days forever xoxo~~
Azul: :) (I am so going to betray Jamil.)
Jamil: :) (I am so going to betray Azul.)
T^T playing along only for your sake, but when you aren't looking they are plotting!!! >_< poor darling when it's inevitably revealed you never had much of a say in any of this, but maybe that's good because it's forced Azul and Jamil to compromise and tolerate each other enough to please you. >:)
