I tried drawing these silly gooses riordaverse main characters in a style similar to the art wave of their mythology or their mythology's times, and they look so silly i love them 😭

Magnus is inspired by viking art, he's really spiky and squary and pretty 2D, with no shading and fun and pretty light colours.

Percy is inspired by the drawing/incisions on Greek vases, he's pretty 2d too, he lacks both color and shading, but he's less cartoony, and more realistic like that type of art.

Both Sadie and Carter are inspired off of Egyptian Frescoes , which aren't only hyrogliphics, they're both 2d and aren't shaded, but have pretty saturated and warm colours. Unlike Magnus, this art style is pretty round, with a lot of curves. I really enjoyed drawing the hands.

Jason is a roman statue! He's pretty stiff but has both shading and colour, Unlike the modern ones, where the colours have faded. I hope i made his realistic enough, i like how i drew his legs,very muscular.

I had tons of fun drawing them, they're so cute, and I'm gonna draw them more often in these styles.

EEK! I loved drawing this so much! (Julie mostly.. Barnaby was treacherous!! him with his evil shading...) I wish I had given them bracelets, I was thinking to myself whilst I was sketching this "They would have to buy a jewellery set, a necklace and a bracelet, Barnaby would wear the necklace around his wrist and Julie would have the bracelet" It made me giggle a tad.. a smidgen..
