I probably should have avoided any spoilers or trailers and never mind anything else going on with this show, but tbh if this absolutely senseless ill-thought out increasingly ooc Eddie & Chris storyline is dragged out much longer, I'll just have to cut my losses and move on. I've endured just about all the heartbreak I'm willing to put up with at this point.

It's generally left out in the annals of bad behavior/infidelity in the Gilmore Girls canon, but I just want to review the details of Lorelai's "situationship" with Twilight Dad in season 3 when she is in the midst of lecturing Jess and Rory on proper boyfriend/girlfriend etiquette.
Lorelai meets Alex (aka Twilight Dad) on 3.11, which aired on January 21. She and Alex are third wheels when Sookie meets up with an old friend and accidentally sets up a date with him (this takes place during the episode where Rory and Paris fence and have intense sexual tension). I think he asks her out during this episode.
One week later, on 3.12 (airing on February 28) Lorelai and Alex have a coffee date. They discuss the coffee shop he's opening and his two kids who he shares custody with his ex. He suggests a fishing date, and Lorelai ropes Luke into teaching her how to fish. Bear in mind that she has known Luke has crushed on her for the better part of two years.
Anyway, after this incident, Luke decides to give up on Lorelai and asks Nicole out.
The next episode is 3.13, which is the flashback episode. It airs on February 4. This is Luke and Nicole's first date. Nicole definitely does not spend the night.
3.14 airs on February 11. This is Swan Song, where Lorelai is antsy about Rory and Jess possibly fucking, he gets beaked in the eye by the ghost of Shane, they fight, and at the end of the episode Alexis makes a way too realistic moan into Milo's mouth and Rory goes home and tells Lorelai that she's totally going to do Jess at some point.
So Alex and Lorelai have been going out for three weeks, and they decide to go away together with Sookie and Jackson. Sounds kind of serious. It's also mentioned in this episode that in the one week he's been dating Nicole Luke has been on a bunch of overnight trips to New York and seen a bunch of Broadway plays with his girlfriend. I guess we're supposed to assume there's a time jump here because there's no way he did all that within a week.
I'll also point out here that even though Luke mentions he interrupts Rory and Jess every ten minutes so they don't get around to having sex, if he's also making overnight trips to New York they're probably being left alone in the apartment at night quite a bit. Pair that with the offscreen "movie nights" we hear about later and yeah, uh, I think we can figure out what is taking place because no way is that going on in Lorelai's house unless it's also happening while she's out with Alex.
3.15 is February 18, the hockey episode. Jess doesn't call Rory to arrange a date and Lorelai lectures him on his terrible boyfriend behavior. Then he shows up with hickey tickets (and then some!) and I'm guessing Rory's virginity became fairly technical in the car afterwards.
3.16 is the episode where Paris is rejected from Harvard, which airs on February 25. Lorelai is delighted to know that Rory has not actually had sex and that she has "the good kid". She also makes out with Max and then tells Rory all about it and when Rory asks about poor Twilight Dad, Lorelai says "I don't know." I'm thinking you really should not be giving lectures on morality and proper relationship etiquette, hon. Also two weeks ago the relationship was serious enough to include an overnight weekend, but now it doesn't matter? Huh.
So let's skip ahead to Keg. Max, which is three episodes and two months later, which airs on April 25. I'm assuming there actually was a time jump between Luke and Nicole's first date and the swan episode and these episodes actually took place much closer together than they aired, as there's a lot of stuff going on with Luke finding out Jess is skipping school, steals his car to force him to go, and Jess finally being told he isn't graduating that seems like it would take place much closer in time. Anyway, it seems that Lorelai concludes that her relationship with Twilight Dad is over, because "it's become more intermittent". Does she call him and ask them if their relationship is over? I think we all know the answer to that one. Lorelai tries to push herself on Max after he says no and acts like she's the one that's been affronted when he shoves a table between them. I think there was supposed to be a parallel between Lorelai and Jess crossing boundaries in this episode, although I'm not sure why Lorelai did what she did for any reason other than she felt like it.
I really feel someone who behaves in this manner should not be lecturing her teenage daughter or her boyfriend about what a real relationship looks like, nor should she be evaluating who or who isn't "the good kid" based on what she's been doing. It appears Alex was just cheated on and dropped without explanation as the relationship was getting serious. Rory was fully aware of what was happening and further got the message that it is okay to do this sort of thing if an ex boyfriend enters the picture because if he was yours first, it's okay to cheat with him whenever you feel like it. I'm sure that's not something she's going to take to heart or anything.
Anyway, fair well Twilight Dad. I'm sure you'll have more interesting adventures in the PNW from now on.

I'm so happy they're still managing to include Hoyt in the show. He's always been my best boy.
Not keen on his daughter, but if she's a gateway to seeing more of him then that's not a bad thing.
Hoyt is always welcome! I'm guessing he might be a ghost this time around if they're in a cemetery (much like Emily).
As for the daughter, well... I hope they can tell her story right, otherwise I'm going to have Gilmore Girl flashbacks to Luke's daughter, April, and that mess of a story, lol!

Book Review
Tumblr media
Imagine that you are about to marry your fiancé tomorrow, when suddenly "the one that got away" shows up to your rehearsal dinner as the date of your future sister-in-law. This is the predicament that Audrey Lavery faces at the beginning of the book. Six years prior, she met a guy named Fred and they had a whimsical, spontaneous day together. They were supposed to meet up the next day, but he didn't show up due to an emergency and she lost his number, so they had no way to get in touch and haven't seen each other since then. Audrey was convinced that Fred was her soulmate, but she moved on and met Josh Parker - a nice guy who she was underwhelmed by at first but eventually fell in love with. Josh is practical and stable, whereas Audrey can be indecisive and flighty. Seeing Fred again the night before her wedding brings up some old feelings and makes her question who she was meant to be with - among several other things going wrong. Is the universe trying to tell her not to marry Josh, or is it just a case of cold feet?
This is the third book in a row I've read that has dual timelines. The chapters alternate between the present and past throughout Audrey's life, leading up to the engagement and wedding day. The flashbacks show us various events that shaped her into who she is today and allow us to see her personal growth by the end of the novel. They were not chronological, but they weren't too confusing to follow even though they jumped around. Someday it would be fun to go back and reread it in the order that each event actually happened from her childhood until now.
I really liked this story, and I read it quickly. The minor characters (Clara, Hillary, Josh's sister, and Josh's grandma) were well-developed, supportive, and funny. Audrey's mother, Vivien, reminded me a little bit of Emily from Gilmore Girls. I also liked how Audrey's passion for astronomy was woven in. Most rom coms have a predictable ending, but I honestly had no idea which guy Audrey was going to pick. I'm not going to say who it is, but I was very happy with her choice! But this book was about more than just a love triangle - it was also about Audrey's journey of self-discovery, healing from her insecurities and guilt, and recognizing her self-worth.

What would your argument be to ppl justifying Belly’s behaviour as her being a teenager? Because I’m like so is like every other character ever? The OC Gilmore girls one tree hill TVD gossip girl , like why are ppl pretending this is the first teenager ever and all is justified bc of it because teenagers make mistakes and their emotions are messy…
Well 1. She can just be an awful teenager. Like "they're a teenager" doesn't magically wipe away all bad behaviour, there can be particularly selfish and self-centered teenagers. 2. I've mentioned this in pretty much all of my reviews I think the show is too lazy to really tap into the chaos of emotions you feel as a teenager
I'll provide examples but I am well aware that what I'm going to say I felt and saw with these examples is what I'm meant to see and feel with TSITP but the issue is Belly is a nightmare because the choices she makes all seem entirely avoidable. And not like hindsight, as an adult, I now know I would not make those decisions, just generally, it's like, you could just not do that, Belly.
So, for instance, Oz/Willow/Xander in season 3. For two seasons, we see -- without reliance on voiceover and flashbacks -- how much Willow has secretly-not-secretly pined for Xander and she's given moments that are super teen and uncomfortable because of how teen they are. Like, they almost kiss when he wipes away the ice cream on her nose
Tumblr media
and they're interrupted and she wants to recreate that moment so later on, she purposefully puts yogurt on her nose to get him to notice her
Tumblr media
and it falls so flat
Tumblr media
and she's crushed
Tumblr media
she wants Xander to see her differently so Buffy tries to get her to dress sexily on Halloween
Tumblr media
but Willow ultimately chooses to go as a ghost and Xander is a dick about it
Tumblr media
and that's super high school.
We see her heart break
over
Tumblr media
and over
Tumblr media
we also see that every time there's an episode where Xander breaks her heart,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's also an episode that shows that he will risk his life for her
Tumblr media
he always ends up choosing her over the girl he's romantically interested in
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in some capacity
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
so that when he finally does notice her when she's with Oz because Xander is such a teenage boy,
Tumblr media
I've been aligned with Willow enough and the show has really solidified their relationship that even if I don't agree with what she's doing I'm like yo, I get it, if the guy I've liked forever is suddenly calling me stunning and there's a vibe going on even though I'm with someone I like/love I can understand at 16 how that's confusing and you make stupid choices
Tumblr media
There is literally nothing about being 16 that will have me like I can see how Belly told Conrad to go to hell in front of everyone at his mother's wake.
It's one thing to see him with Aubrey and jump to conclusions and rush out of the room and as an anon said lock yourself in a bathroom or run outside and keep going.
It's another to do this
Tumblr media
that's not being a teenager that's being a dick.
Added to the fact that the writing is weak like I said before I never saw this
Tumblr media
I never saw Belly trying so hard to connect with Conrad and Conrad shutting her out, like again, we don't get this energy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
for her to see him with Aubrey and have that breakdown. It's bad writing.
And then when she's drunk at the beach and is all "If I'd known you'd gone to Jeremiah, I would've fought for us" in the same breath she says "I thought we loved each other", he hadn't given her any indication that he didn't love her because he's waxing poetic about how they're infinite and he's making all these grand declarations that I'm just like, Belly what??
Another example is Joey/Dawson/Jen or Joey and Dawson in the first two seasons of Dawson's Creek. Joey is pretty terrible but she's terrible in a very fifteen year old kinda way where I'm like it's not fair, Jen does not deserve this but I understand it because you're fifteen and you're in love with a boy who is clueless and self-centered and this interloper comes in and takes all of his attention and you're not mature enough yet to be like this isn't Jen's fault. You're just territorial and jealous and angry and you're being horrible.
And the pilot does a very good job in establishing all of that in the first ten minutes because Joey is frustrated with Dawson in the opening scene because she wants their relationship to change, she's talking about how they're getting older and they're getting hormonal
Tumblr media
and Dawson is so convinced they're not sexual, he insists they share a bed and says that he doesn't even see her as a girl
Tumblr media
but it's clear when he sees Jen that he very clearly sees her as a girl that he's attracted to and it's frustrating for Joey to watch
Tumblr media
so she's just angry and I get that.
Then when she and Dawson do get together and she kisses Jack and then blames Dawson for it and breaks up with him, I got why she did it and I got why Dawson was upset
I can get on board with the idea that Joey had been in love with Dawson for so long and had idealized him for so long and had been nothing but his best friend for so long that now that she got what she wanted, she’s having a sort of crisis and realizing that she needs to find herself outside of their relationship and that Jack kissing her was something new and it was wrapped up in her desire to learn more about art and find something she was passionate about outside of Dawson and that’s why she ultimately ends things with him because she needs to go do that.
But the thing about the writing for Dawson is that he is self-involved and he is self-absorbed and a majority of his friendship with Joey that we’ve seen has been him bitching about his problems (which isn’t to say we don’t see Dawson be there for Joey because we do but not nearly as much because at this point this show is still very heavily about Dawson, it is called Dawson’s Creek) and Joey responding to that and Joey will tell Dawson to get over himself, tell him when he’s being trite, tell him when he’s being boring, tell him when she wants to talk about something else, tell him when he’s being privileged, but she never tells him hey, let’s talk about me now, hey I’m getting kind of tired just being there for you, so when she’s yelling IT’S ABOUT ME, IT’S FINALLY ABOUT ME, I can see how in her head it is that but I think it makes absolute sense that he’s like ………. what? I did not know that’s how you felt and you’re making the fact that you kissed another guy MY fault what the hell??
And then she doesn’t give him a chance to do those things in a relationship, which fine, but then what gets me is that she wants to continue to be friends with him afterwards and is surprised and indignant when he’s like you dumped me and I don’t want to talk to you right now. Like NO. You kissed someone else, blamed me for it, dumped me, and now you want to be friends still? NO.
Like when you think about Joey’s “inner life” as they say so many times on this show, it makes sense, but because she is actually really bad at communicating, she just seems ENTIRELY unreasonable outwardly.
and it's like none of you handled this well at all because you all suck at communication but this is very teenage soap-y drama where if you just had the capacity to thin outside of yourselves for like fifteen minutes this could've gone a very different way.
I don't have the same type of grace for Belly who kissed Jeremiah then chose to be with Conrad immediately after, then had a huge public meltdown about Conrad being in the same room with his ex and then is now like hey I'm kinda vibing with Jeremiah again because it doesn't feel unavoidable or inevitable or understandable especially considering that when we do have flashbacks to her time with Conrad it doesn't seem like she felt Jeremiah's absence at all. She says that she missed him, Conrad says it's tearing Belly up that he doesn't return her calls but there are no scenes to actually suggest this and when they do see each other at Thanksgiving she makes zero effort to talk to him she just smiles at him awkwardly and makes a half-assed attempt to get him to be social
Tumblr media
So Jeremiah now just seems like nothing more than convenience or a fall-back plan for her. And I'm sure before they get together, they'll have that conversation and she'll be like no it's you, it's really you, you get me but you were just breaking down on the beach to Conrad about how you would've fought if you knew he loved you while also saying you thought you two loved each other. It doesn't come across as 'oh to be 16' it comes across as callous.
Belly just seems like she does whatever she wants to do and makes herself the victim and messes with people's emotions without care and if that was the point, if the point was like oh yeah you can be a nightmare as a teenager then that would be one thing but that's not the point, it's just supposed to be oh the woes of a young heart and the complications that arise but Belly, imo, is entirely unsympathetic.

What did you think of the final episode of Mrs Maisel? My expectations were in the gutter due to being absolutely destroyed and demoralized after what ASP did to the Gilmore girls in Year in the Life, so I must say I was actually pleasantly surprised! I knew they weren’t going to give us a happy present day or future with MidgeLenny so I thought the flashback to the Chinese restaurant was nice.
hiiiiii, sorry for the delay, i needed all night to mentally prepare myself to answer this ask <3 i feel like there is no short answer, so i'll probably have to give a long one. my deepest apologies...
so. to be totally honest, i think the finale was about as good as it could be, given the structure of the season up to that point. do i wish they'd chosen to tell the story in real time, not using flashes forward to negate tension, solve problems off-screen, and shortcut emotionally impactful moments? yeah. yeah, i do.
i would have loved to see midge and susie fall out and actually make up in real time; that didn't need to happen in the future/off screen. that should've been the driving arc and the emotional core of the season.
i would have loved to see lenny's supreme court case and the start of his real decline—particularly to contrast it against midge's blossoming career, showing that while they care for each other fuck it, love each other deeply, they are also on paths that must inevitably diverge.
i would have loved for j*el not to be there at all, but that's because i am petty.
i would have loved mei to randomly show up for no narrative reason, because i love stephanie hsu.
i would have loved loved loved to see lenny's 'to is a preposition, come is a verb' bit immortalized on the show, and i will quite literally never forgive them for not including it. i deserve to hear luke kirby singing, "don't come in me, don't come in me, don't come in me me me me me..."
i would have loved to see midge squaring up with the actual consequences of her parenting, maybe trying to restore her relationship with her kids, if we had to do the time jumps. she could even fail! (i mean, i know she made a joke about forgetting their names in the final episode, but i don't think that means they should have been forgotten by the narrative.)
i would have loved to see susie actually with someone, maybe reunited with hedy—or they could have set up a love interest over the course of the season.
i would have loved to see midge and lenny ride off into the sunset, because i am a clown who doesn't care about historical accuracy. (jk, i care about it a lot. you should see the footnotes for the fic i'm writing.) at the very least, we should have seen her reaction to lenny's posthumous pardon.
anyway, i would have loved a lot of things.
as it is, when the finale came to an end, i literally out loud said, "oh. that was the end." gotta love the enthusiasm.
at least it didn't make a whole bunch of things demonstrably worse, which... considering AYITL, i suppose we should be grateful for.
the chinese food scene was lovely and sweet from start to finish. the whole gordon ford hijacking was good, and i was touched at susie's emotional reaction to seeing midge take the mic. i was delighted by how much effort midge put into making sure her mom got the message to come see her perform. i loved abe's enthusiasm about his daughter's success and i loved him reaching to touch her cheek. the return of imogene's beret was good, if i didn't hallucinate that bit.
all said, the finale had its moments, and i enjoyed them when they came. i'm just bummed it was built on, in my opinion, the shaky framework that is the entire rest of the season.

hihihi today's reminder is ok let's talk friends because this is my first time in a few years watching it all the way through and I'm halfway through season four and i have Thoughts
Monica reminds me a bit of me where she just is so clear about what she wants in a relationship, like I've always been called crazy for dating to marry instead of "enjoying my 20s" but like i am enjoying it with someone I'll enjoy the rest of my life with too, and i soooo see that in Monica and it makes me feel better. which is funny because i never resonated with her like that before, but at the point I'm at right now in life, i see so much of myself in how much she holds these very few people dear, how she values her community and her stability and is always the one making sure the community has a place and a reason to gather
i love love love good character growth so Rachel, chandler and Joey are obviously my babies. Rachel is annoying about ross but we'll forgive that for how hard she worked to go from spoiled daughter to waitress to fashion icon we love her here she deserves the best. Phoebe also obviously my own child, i bore her and raised her and watch all her performances while beaming with pride Ross… David schwimmer saves him a lot let's just say that. when I'm not really watching as much as listening to the show while i play candy crush, he's unbearable, but he's funny when you watch him. almost charming sometimes
ok relationships: Monica and Chandler remain untouched. i love the idea of Joey and Phoebe, and there's a fair bit of hinting towards it and it's a shame they never explored it but i just love Mike so much. Joey and Rachel though, yes, a million times yes. they could've been mondler part 2, they could've had it all. they truly wasted that pairing by using it just to make Ross jealous. and Ross... well. does he deserve love, really? no he doesn't why the fuck did they spend so long building Rachel up as someone so smart and confident and self made and comfortable in her own skin just to waste her on a man that will control her every breathing second and somehow make himself the victim for her daring to have her own life and her own feelings
yeah i don't like Ross lmao. i also like the idea of Rachel ending up with Mark (… the one who got her her job not the nct rapper) just as a fuck you to Ross and because he seemed super sweet and actually genuinely rooted for her based on nothing but kindness
Hii, Firstly I commend you so much for sticking to your own standards and values, I respect that so much you know what you want and you didn't settle for less and you're getting exactly what you wanted. I love that so much. And Monica was very driven and sure of herself and I have a soft spot for her of course from her childhood as a fat kid like so many of her flashbacks really struck home for me. And I won't get into the way 90s\00s shows showcased fat people but I will say The Gilmore girls is the only show albeit not perfect who did a pretty good job in how they presented sookie who i love. But also her being the left behind child who was always in Ross's shadow and didn't get the love and care she deserved from her parents. Like I love Monica and I'm glad she got her happy ending. Rachel dropping her past life, running off from her wedding and starting all over from scratch alone foreshadowed her growth, obviously not the best judge of character with men especially when it comes to Ross but we can look past that. But I loved her with Joey so much. Joey is just a joy, a delight, he was like 25 when I was just a one year old but he is my baby and i love him. I totally forgot about Mike oh I loved him with Phoebe. Oh I would have loved to see what was going on with Dan and Serena and Blair which If you've seen gossip girl it was confusing as hell right. But like that with Joey and Phoebe and Rachel. Like Joey explores things with Phoebe but ultimately ends up with Rachel and Phoebe with Mike. But like all three are like still super chill with each other. And Ross, I have never and will never like that man. David Swimmer is a delight but Ross is the worst. Ted Mosby from how I met your mother was birthed from Ross Geller. I will not get into Ted but iykyk. But yeah Fuck Ross.

Hello there! This is the start of my downward spiral into the writer's abyss. I've joined season 5 of buildspace, and here is my idea slide for week 1's update.
Here is an info dump of what I have in mind for the book so far:
The story revolves around the relationship of a bookish, stubborn twelve-year-old girl, Aster Knox, and her equally stubborn, old-fashioned English teacher, Mr. Deirdre. Before you jump to conclusions- it's not that kind of story! The story takes place in modern-day Scotland somewhere in Glasgow, but definitely in a small town setting. (think of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls)
Originally, I'd planned on a graphic novel form, but then it'd take me a decade to finish the story. So I ultimately decided on a mix: mainly composed of prose but intertwined with a few comic-style pages (for a picture is worth a thousand words). I haven't come across any book that has a similar structure to what I've described, so I'm definitely excited to see how it'll work out. If you know a book that follows a similar format I'd love to know!
The book is supposed to jump between the present and past, with flashbacks of Aster and Deirdre's relationship from bickering student and teacher to still bickering but adopted kid and inexperienced father. I haven't yet nailed down their respective backstories other than knowing Aster has gone through numerous foster families before the storyline begins.
So far, the hardest part of this venture has been thinking of the main conflict, as most of what I thought of comes across as too cliche or just plain unrealistic. Right now, I'm thinking of a character vs character sort of conflict, where Aster and Mr. Deirdre's relationship in the present is just as strained as it was in the past because of their inability to be vulnerable around each other. This will of course stem from their own respective attachment issues. Additionally, I'm thinking of incorporating fantasy elements in the story as well, though I can't say too much without spoiling a major plot point.
In a nutshell: Harry and Snape but make it a found family C =
At the moment, this is all just a big blob of vagueness in my head, which I'm hoping will mold itself as I begin to actually write this story.
And so, in the words of the demon Crowley and Mr. Gaiman,
"Wait and see~"

Season 10, Episode 20: Angel Heart
Isn't that the Novak house?
This must be a flashback
Poor Amelia
Oh no
A dream?
So the mom is alive
What?
That's freaky
She's definitely not
One of her happiest moments
Claire!
Ouch
Interesting
Poor guy
She's looking for mom
Fair point
She's the furthest thing from a girl scout
Claire...
She never gave a last name
Yikes
Dude.
At least he called
Oh, Cas
Heyo!
Yeah...
Dad mode™
Sounds like fun
You were hurt!
Ouch
I'm sure it was
They want to help
Closure
He did it for you, Claire
He didn't help much
Oh boy
Wait a second. Give or take, two years ago she might've been on the trail of Emmanuel.
Cas...
Right
Um. Bye Dean
Escape artist
Yay
She doesn't like you, Cas
Dean.
Fitting
Yikes
Dean can be scary
Dean, you need to chill a little
Oh, Dean does NOT like those
I'm sure
Hah! If it was Roy, I'd laugh
Weird
And that's not concerning at all
This is weird
I don't believe him
Spooky
But you're getting it anyway
Makes sense
He didn't know his mom
AND THIS IS PRE-SEASON TWELVE????
I'm pretty sure I've heard this out of context and I thought it was post-Amara, but he's literally just talking about time travel 😭😭😭
Sam.
Yeah...
That wouldn't stop Sam
I'm sure
Spooky
An angel?
Yikes
Hey, remember when Sam ragged on Dean for credit card scams? Yeah, me too
Yeah...
Okay fair
What was he taking from Amelia? It almost looked like grace
Aww
GRUMPY CAT
I GOT IT AT THE HOT TOPICAL
And Dean was with him 😭 can you imagine Dean Winchester in a Hot Topic
It's cute!
It wasn't Dean
Dean...
Slammed his face into a table, though
Um.
Right
He didn't kill the guy, though
You've probably heard of Eric Clapton, but if you haven't, he's known for Knockin' on Heaven's Door, I Shot the Sheriff, and Layla (as part of Derek and the Dominos). Jimmy Page is the guitarist and founder of Led Zeppelin.
Nice, Dean
Angel blade, definitely
Of course
Weird
Probably
It's not that simple
Claire.
He's a loose cannon
Dean...
Daddy-daughter date!
Ouch
Claire is more antagonistic
I mean. True.
That's true
Cas... that's a loaded question
Sam.
Sam is right on this one, but it's hard
I LOVE THIS SCENE
Caddyshack!
Bill Murray is awesome
Come on, Claire
How can you know if you like it or not if you haven't seen it?
He's so dramatic
Ok, boomer
Happy Gilmore.
Sylvester Stallone face
The mini-golf is rare
I love the side-by-side
That was unfortunate
Also Cas was a jerk back then
Several times over
That's good to know, I guess
Dean?
I have no clue what's happening
Yup!
So like... an archangel?
*insert Michael joke here*
SMART DEAN TRUTHER
What?
Depends on the angel
There's Amelia
Not exactly
Oh boy
Poor girl
Dean, maybe the lore is both. They prey on some and help others
That's fantastic
Wouldn't be the evilest angel out there
Nah
THE GRASSHOPPER
No promises
Thanks, Cas
That angel was doing some messed up stuff
That's so sad
Jimmy's been gone for a long time
Cas...
Speaking of Claire...
Oh, Amelia
Wake up, Sam
Yup
Dean was right!
That's horrifying
Not for the humans
There's the sword
Evidently not
You kind of screwed up there, buddy
Baby's first hunt!
Two years
Cas!
Family reunion!
Protect your mom
Of course
Where did he go?
Sam?
Enough with the jump scares!
Apparently not
That's suspicious
Oh no
I don't think it is
Figures
Oh no...
Cas to the rescue
This is going great
Um. Bad idea
He's mopping the floor with them
Claire!
There's no saving her
Oh, Claire...
She's in her real heaven now
The light is beautiful
Oh, Jimmy...
This is so sad, but so sweet
Wayward sisters!!!

Ok ok building as accurate a timeline for Gilmore Girls (and realistically understanding the inevitable gray areas within) is kind of a special interest of mine so I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!
We see Rory's entire birthdate and time in the flashback in S3E13 so we know it's October 8, 1984 at 4:03 am. As an astrology nerd, I fucking love this and if I ever got to ask ASP a question, it would be about her personal interest in astrology because it gets mentioned a few times and the birthdays for her characters are always SO perfect. It would be a wild coincidence if she didn't care at all. I need to do a deep dive of Rory's chart here because it's sooo scarily accurate. For those who care about big 3, hers are Libra sun, Pisces moon, Virgo rising. Sooo perfect.
We know Lorelai's exact birthdate, too - April 25, 1968. My Taurus sister!!! Haha I always shake my head at folks who say she's a fire sign - my homegirl is SUCH a Taurus please be for fucking real. We know this date because of the original episode air date in relation to on-screen events and it's since been kind of "confirmed" by other GG sources. What we know of her chart is also scarily correct. Aries moon which adds that fire people get from her and Aries venus, of course. :')
Luke's age has the most uncertainty and inconsistency. We know Liz was born in 1966 because we see her 20th high school reunion on S4 in 2004 and of course we know Luke is the older sibling ("big brotherrr") but his varsity track high school photo in S3E4 implies he was a senior the same year she was. They could've been Irish twins I guess but I tend to assume it's a goof and Luke is only about a year older than her. We also of course know he's a Scorpio so Luke was born between October 21-November 21 likely around 1965/66.
I have Richard and Emily getting married in 1966 but I don't obsess as much about them so I don't remember why...? lol Both born in 1943 with Richard in January - we know his month because Emily throws him a 60th birthday party in S3.
Other noteworthy birthdates I have: 1917 - Lorelai I aka Trix 1943 - Taylor - he's the same age at Emily and Richard 1953 - Mitchum 1963 - Mrs. Kim - 2-3 years older than Luke and 5 years older than Lorelai?! 1966, Summer - Michel - whether he's a Cancer, Leo or Virgo, I kind of love all those options for him. I hope he's a Cancer lmao 1972 - Kirk 1982, February - Logan - the idea of him being an Aquarius or Pisces is fascinating to me. Mysterious man. Suits him! 1983 - Doyle 1984 - Jess, Dean, Lane, Paris... anyone Rory's age is kind of a boring "duh" 1993, April - April - born in April. Yes, really. January 31, 2003, 1:17am - GG - haha it's funny to know such a minor character's entire chart because we see her born on the show, but PHEW based on her chart, this girlie is a handfull which delights me to no end. I bet she grows up to be quite the character. Aquarius sun, Capricorn moon, Scorpio rising. 2017, Summer - Rory's kid who I affectionally call Lorelai IV. I kind of refuse to entertain the thought they aren't a girl. I hope she's a Leo. Keep Rory on her toes! For my other astro nerds, we also know Rachel is a Pisces or Aires. Love both those for her - she must be an Aries, don't you think? Davey is a Scorpio which amuses me. Richard is a Capricorn or Aquarius - must be Capricorn, yes? And for all my Jess girlies - what do you think his sign is? I like the idea of him being Aquarius. It would be REALLY interesting to me if both he and Logan were two sides of that Aquarius coin...
Birthdays
Rory: 1984, October 4th (Season 1: Episode 6)
Lorelei: 1968, early spring (Season 6: Episode 19, Season 3: Episode 18)
Luke: 1967-1970, Scorpio, more likely 1967 (Season 3: Episode 4, Season 5: Episode 3)
Richard: 1942/1943, winter (Season 3; Episode 10)
Emily: around 1942, likely between 1942-1945, but could be 1939-1945 (Season 3; Episode 8)
Age on the first episode (fall 2000)
Rory: 15
Lorelei: 32
Luke: 29-32
Richard: 58
Emily: ~58, 55-61
Miscellaneous
Emily and Richard: married in winter of 1964/1965 (Season 5; Episode 12, though there is conflicting information in Season 2; Episode 3 which indicates it should be 1967)
Richard was 22 when he got married, Emily was around the same age.
Richard was around 26 when Lorelei was born, and 42 when Rory was born.

Unpopular opinion I know, but I've been on the fence about Bughead getting back together this season and rather than hope after the bunker scene I'm firmly in the, I'm over it camp. Betty just really shows no concern for Jug at all anymore, she's been down right hostile for the most part and sure the VM was upsetting but incomparable to say having your SO cheat on you w/your best friend which she still hasn't really apologized for, I mean Jug is in the bunker knocking back a drink while -1 of 2
Answer under the cut! It's long, and since the anon had 2/2, I figured it best
Tumblr media
Alright, Anon, I put this under a cut hope you don't mind.
I sometimes feel like Jughead is Jess from Gilmore Girls. He'd do anything for Rory. Push her in the right direction. Be happy for her. Lorelei didn't like Jess, kind of like how Alice felt that way about Jughead.
Betty is Rory, the girl next door, bright, who works on the newspaper. The only one she meshes with is Jess. Even though it can be a roller coaster ride, they need each other. Yet, she doesn't see how she treats Jess because he's always there and supportive.
Maybe in this story, Betty grows up. She helps herself. She also sees the guy that Lorelei took forever to see Luke. Sometimes it's the little things, the subtle things. Alice still loved FP, so she hid a secret (yet I'm almost more convinced it was Hal's. However, maybe JB had the serial killer gene, but I think that would be because of Gladys rather than FP.) Perhaps in this story, Betty realizes she needs help. When she realizes this, she sees Jug sees him. Like flashback Jug. She wakes up and hopes it's not too late that she can still be with Jughead because she loves him. Love can only go so far, and she needs to put work in just like he was. Is it too late? Can she be forgiven? Will, she chose the Logan over the Jess? In the end, will she end up alone because even though Jug may have loved her, he knew he deserved more, and he'd always help when she needed it like the friend she made him be, but he's moving on?
I felt this season, and even at the end of season 4, the writers messed up Betty. Made her cold, callous, not caring about Jug or even herself. So un Betty likes, that it makes you wonder.
I'm not a fan of cheating. It's not okay to cheat. So for her to even kiss and sneak around is not okay. I get mistakes, but this to me was a hidden mistake, and that isn't alright.
For her to give his manuscript away because she was high and angry at him was not okay. All these come out of the left field.
That's why fanfiction is excellent because these writers screwed it up. I feel for her.
I also agree that while I'm an alcoholic and for her almost to brush it off like it was no big deal when she, of all people, probably knew that would have been one of her fears. That's why I want to believe she can't see what she is doing or how she is treating him. Thinking he needs her, and so it'll be okay. It also shows how emotionally unavailable she is to him and herself. Plus, if he's drinking like that, he can't be of help to himself or Betty. Therefore maybe she's not the best person right now. He wasn't drinking while apologizing to others; at least, I don't recall it.
I think Jug has always owned up to what he's done. He might not always apologize, but he owns it—kind of again like Jess.
They both have had a lot of trauma they might just simply dealing with it differently. I miss Bughead but if season 5 is going to bleed into season 6 if she doesn't snap out of whoever kidnapped her body and mind I think Bughead should just be really great friends.
Yet, Anon, I feel you. Some days I want Bughead, and I miss them terribly, and other days this show to me is saying Jug move on and have Betty as a close friend. However, I think they both need to see a psychologist.

Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Rory Gilmore x Tristan Dugray (Gilmore Girls)
Requested by @leighpeterson
"We don't have to go." It might be the fifth time Rory's said those words in the last ten minutes. Maybe five.
She's sure it's clear to both of them that they're less of a comfort for Tristan and more pleading with him for her own sake. His smirking smile in response is telling her she isn't doing too well.
"Seriously, it's not a big deal," she lies through her teeth. "My grandparents won't mind us missing the dinner. They know your parents, and your grandparents. Why do they need to know you?"
"Rory Gilmore," Tristan stops walking, hands still stuck in his pockets, his voice teasingly slow, "are you ashamed of me?"
Rolling her eyes and sighing, Rory stops with him, and admits, "I'm just worried."
"About what?" Tristan asks, dropping the act at least partially.
"All of this!" she says, gesturing her hands around them wildly. Between them. "About this. I'm not a good liar. It's hard enough pretending around my mom, but my grandparents? They're gonna think we're in a serious commited relationship, and then they're gonna hate me when we go through with the breakup because they probably already love you, but after tonight, they're going to be planning out our wedding and my baby shower!"
"Oh, have we picked names yet?" Tristan asks, straight-faced. "Because I, personally, love Dean. A fun inside joke to tell them and, someday, the grandkids."
Rory stares at him, incredulous as she just barely regains her breath from the train she chased down the spiralling track in her mind.
"You're so not helping right now."
Tristan laughs, honest to god laughs, like he's having a great time. She's suddenly having flashbacks to the halls of Chilton, seeing him in that uniform, probably leaning against a locker. And teasing her like the idiot he was and still appears to be, only now they're all grown up.
"This was your idea," he reminds her.
"And it was a terrible one!" She throws her hands up. "I admit that! I didn't think this through at all, I just--I just panicked when I saw Dean in New York, and you were right there, and I don't know why but I thought that saying we were engaged made sense, okay?"
"Made sense even though this was the first time we had run into each other since I left Chilton?" Tristan teases again, that grin still perfectly settled on his face.
Rory groans. "Okay, now you're making it sound worse. But, I didn't exactly think that Dean would be going back to Stars Hollow the same day, or that he and Jess were all that close for them to discuss it, or that Jess would tell Luke, and then Luke would tell my mom, okay? It's just a whole big unpredictable mess, and I'm sorry I dragged you into it."
She drops her face into her hands, scrubbing the heels into her eyes to relieve at least a sliver of the tension building behind them and in her temples. It's been a week-long headache and she has a feeling it's about to become a month-longth migraine.
"Hey, you didn't drag me," Tristan says, voice gentle now. He pauses when Rory drops her hands and looks up at him. "Okay, so you kind of did. But, I agreed to pretend we were in a relationship to keep the cover until we could properly "end things", so I promise you that I would not still be here if I didn't want to be."
Rory sighs. She wants to believe him, and she does. But maybe it's just too much. It was a stupid, pointless, immature lie in the first place, and now it's getting out of hand.
"And this is helping me, remember?" Tristan adds, tilting his head to recapture her eyes.
He shoves his hand back in his pocket with a shrug.
"This way, I don't have to admit to my parents that my real girlfriend who they had their hearts set on for a daughter-in-law dumped me because I got fired. Or that I got fired. They'll be far too interested in you as a fan of the Gilmores to question anything else."
"Gee, no pressure," Rory says sarcastically, rolling her eyes. But she smiles, and admittedly, it doesn't feel like such a bad idea when she knows it's benefiting someone.
"Well, maybe not for you, but I've met your grandparents and I am terrified," Tristan jokes.
"Oh, you should be," Rory says. "They have not liked a single one of my boyfriends, never mind me just springing a fiancè on them. You saw my mom's face. Imagine that but twice as hostile."
Tristan looks a tiny bit more worried at that thought, but he brushes it off.
"I'm not worried," he says. "But, uh... does this mean we're actually going to the dinner then?"
Rory thinks about it for a moment. Her options aren't good either way, but from past experience, ripping the band-aid off quickly is better than just ignoring it entirely and hoping it'll peel itself off.
"You say we've been engaged three months and were dating for seven before that," she tells him firmly with a pointed finger, starting to walk again. "No more, no less, or my grandmother will be furious. And we have to stick to the exact same details that we told my mom."
Tristan grins, falling back into step beside her. "Noted. But can we agree this time that I proposed in France? Because, it was a bit awkward last night when your mom asked and I said France while you said Denmark."
"I panicked!" Rory defends. "This is why we discuss things, but oh no, you said there was no point!"
"Well, we're discussing now."
"Fine. France it is, but I swear, if you tried to pull an Eiffel Tower proposal on me, I would've said no."
"Got it. No Eiffel Tower."

I agree with you! I'm trying to theorize how it would even come up in 7x01 (if that's really the case) since they're all probs still cursed. And I think it'd have to be in the Henry flashback? So going along those lines, I don't think we'll find out the answer by Henry telling Regina that he has no siblings - that's unnatural dialogue. HOWEVER, if he does have one, I can definitely imagine Henry (or Regina) mentioning them in passing when speaking of Emma/Hook. Or maybe it could be plot related.
Exactly! A definitive moment of just… Henry saying his mom and step-father haven’t had kids seems really out of place and hard to stick in there. On the other hand, Henry being on his way out of Storybrooke and mentioning something like “mom will be fine she has {sibling’s name]” would make some sort of sense.
Also I feel like…. Henry’s probably 18 when he leaves because legal issues. That’s five years after the wedding. Everything we’ve seen about Emma and Hook seems to indicate that they’d want kids at least eventually. So… if you’re gonna go five+ years into the future and say they don’t have kids… I’m gonna need a reason why (lookin at you Gilmore Girls).
