Silktea was only given 1 episode but OH BOY did it fuel our wild shipping habits. And I jumped on the bandwagon. It's a reference to that scene in She-Ra where Scorpia tells Catra she 'didn't want to do this' then wraps kitty up in the blankey and cradles her like a wee baby. And Sandy would do that for any friend, I will die on this hill

Saw a fanart where Mk had a pig nose themed pacifier and I just yoinked that idea. The pig hoodie and the pacifier seems like something Tang would do for Pigsy (also to get away with free noodles cause who can say no to that face?~)

I know many people have issues with shipping with Nezha and such and I know the two had a rough history but y'know what fans do; they love to make the people who kill each other soulmates (platonic, romantic or otherwise) Even if it wasn't romantic, I still love the idea of them being buddies and just chilling, the danger noodle prince and the angy prince snuggle and watch a movie (mainly from Nezha 2019 but I also saw New Gods and can I just say, I want those two twinks to bicker then kiss awkwardly and I want Yun Xiang to BEAT. HIS. ASS) but in case anyone asks, I do perceive Nezha to be a consenting adult in general outside shipping drama and if the two are adults, it does make my heart squeal when I see these two hold hands and whatnot

HOW COULD I EVER FORGET MY SPICYBOIS, inspired by that one Ponyo kiss scene. I was actually gonna make a bigger piece but then I saw someone do it already in a much better fashion than I ever could and I just gave up on the idea but Ig here, its just like the two cakes mentality and I gave it a go. Hope I could do the concept justice

Have spider queen or scorpion queen ever interacted before? No. But they are both queens and I believe Spider Queen's confidence could rub off on Scorpion Queen and she'd appreciate the company of Spider Queen's children henchmen. Also she give yummy food so lesbian venomqueens for the win

Redraw of that moment with Peng and Azure. I normally detest that bird but these two do get some gears grinding and whatever anyone says. Neither of those two are straight. I'll tell ya that.

Toxicinsanity is another rarepair that had like 1 sec screen time. I don't think they'd ever work out in canon and had virtually no chemistry. I still love all the fluffy ship content I can find of them though and if it ever were to happen. I think the mayor would scare the sh!t out of Syntax

Let's get at least one hetero couple here, Chang'e and Hou'Yi are a couple of favorites ngl, I took most of their outfits from Over the moon cause both of them looked stunning, Chang'e especially. I've seen people ship mah girl with other people and while I do agree it's healthy to move on, in my heart she will always long for Hou'Yi

Also irl, on valentines, my mum took us out for lunch, she treated us to bubble tea and donuts. We walked home so I waited to drink mah drink in my room while I drew and I accidentally finished it all... I'm so sorry mum

Thinking about my favorite rarepair, Wriothesley x Baizhu again so I'm gonna list off my headcanons for them

• They got in contact on accident when Wriothesley was still a prisoner in the fortress. Baizhu sent out a letter to someone in Fontaine to discuss a prescription and one way or another it found it's way to the Meropide and Wriothesley. (Likely a case of the name being wrong on the letter).

• Wriothesley ended up writing Baizhu back like "Heyyy wrong guy, but I do actually need some pain meds 😅" and Baizhu, not being one to turn down someone even if he won't get paid for it sent him some. They've been in contact since, at first professionally to make sure all the meds work out for Wriothesley but later for other reasons.

• Baizhu spent a lot of time early on in their relationship worrying about Wriothesley's health. Wriothesley always talking about chronic joint pain or migraines from concussions and Baizhu basically scolding him about not taking care of himself.

• Wriothesley says Baizhu worries too much

• These days, their letters to each other mostly consist of casual talk. Going over what they've been up too between letters, upcoming plans, issues they aren't able to discuss with others.. Yk, pen pal stuff

• They also sends gifts for basically every major holiday just for the hell of it

• Baizhu mainly sends new teas that Zhongli recommends that can't be found easily in Fontaine while Wriothesley sends the latest medical texts that come out, and different trinkets for Qiqi

• Baizhu also makes an effort to write a separate letter to Sigewinne to discuss medical books, treatment plans for inmates and so on. Bai also sends Sigewinne hard to find herbs for said treatment plans

• Qiqi and Sigewinne exchange drawings with each other through these letters as well. Wriothesley keeps drawings from Qiqi in his desk while Baizhu has Sigewinne's drawings in a folder for Qiqi to go through when she pleases.

• Hours after the floods in Fontaine Wriothesley sent a very panicked letter to Baizhu telling him he's alive and got that shit sent out as fast as he could.

• Baizhu's following letter scolded him and sent him a replacement ring for one Wriothesley lost in the flood... which finally got Wriothesley to pull himself together and take time off to pay Baizhu a visit

• First meeting was awkward and ultimately was just them taking a walk around Chenyu Vale and talking about everything they've never gotten to say over letters.

Idk let them be cute and sappy and drink tea and have a slow life together TwT

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

I already answered this here, but I'll give you another. Lum/ine, Ae/ther, Ei, Xi/ao, Wan/derer and any of my other faves from any Mi/hoyo game that I play, because goddamn! Just look at their outfits! Back when I was still drawing fanarts for Gen/shin, I will die every time just from drawing the details of their clothing. But I was too down horrendous for Lu/mine to just give up on drawing her. So when I switched to drawing Sp/yFam fanarts right after, my art braincells are just "Thank God, this evil Gen/shin obsession has been defeated".

Not gonna lie, with them releasing Oro/ron and Sun/day so close to each other, I'm starting to feel the urge to draw them again...wtf djfbjsd Anyway, if anyone drawing Gen/shin fanart (specifically) comes across this by any chance, here's a lifesaver reference site that I used for their outfits. It made the experience slightly less painful.

14. Any favorite motifs

Motifs where there are opposites of light/darkness and sun/moon, but not exactly presented in a black/white way where you know from a glance which is the absolute good and which is the absolute evil. It's more of like ying yang, where there's "complementary and at the same time opposing forces" or that "in kindness, there's evil; in evil, there's kindness". I believe the gray blur where each of these sides converge is the best place ever to explore in fiction.

3. What ideas come from when you were little

The concept itself of making a comic! When I was around...I guess around 4th to 5th grade? Around ten years old or less? I remember drawing this comic of an original story I had back then. I think the setting is something like a historical drama in Ko/rea.

That's because even in the late 2000's and early 2010s, kd/ramas were popping off so hard in PH, almost every adult I knew were watching them. It would always play in the background whenever I'm doing homework or when my mother is tutoring me. The titles I can remember were Je/wel in the Pa/lace and Queen Se/ondok (<-OK I GOTTA CONFESS THIS ONE CHANGED MY BRAIN CHEMISTRY).

Anyway, my younger self got so into this original comic story, I probably ended up drawing up to like half a ream of papers? sdjfbjshvfshd It's all traditional drawings with short bond papers with just a shitty ballpoint black pen. I was ten years old(?), so it definitely looked not so good. It's a secret project so I'm the only one who knows about it and I also hid it under our cabinet like it's some lemon fanfic hahaha (it's more action, tragedy with a bit of romance) I think it's because of that bit of romance that I hid it out of embarrassment, also the papers were actually supposed to be for when we need to print something for school projects, so I think I thought I was gonna get scolded for "wasting" them. I'm not about risk myself getting whooped with either a slipper, belt or broom bro 💀💀💀

I think what happened after that is for when your art perception improves but ur art skills can't catch-up, so I kind of had an art block and wasn't satisfied with it anymore. Then I ripped the pages and threw the entire thing away dsjvfhdsfvshdf 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿 I wish I didn't 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿 I have no start point to compare my current art with anymore and I can't even remember the story or the OCs that I had in there anymore.

Anyway, I'm making up for it now by making comics seriously fr fr and I won't be deleting it even if a ten-wheeler art block truck hits me and runs me over.

This question made me look through the oldest fandom account I can remember, for possible old arts and it's actually so funny/embarrassing how passive-aggressive 14 year old me is. Someone commented "I don't like this ship! This character is only mine!" on a rarepair ship fanart I showed to the group and 14-year old me replied "I understand your feelings, but you're not his only fan so keep that to yourself next time ^_^" ajvfsghdcghsdcds other interactions are also full of haterism energy it makes me go GHURL STOP!!! 😭😭😭😭 THAT'S SO MEAN!!! This 14 year old is a wholeass different person, who does this bitch think they are?!

Askgame 001: Seija/Shinmyoumaru

When I started shipping it if I did: Right when the full version of DDC came out, so... more than 10 years ago... It's hard to believe it's been a full decade LOL

My thoughts: They've been my favorite touhou pairing ever since then so I have a lot of thoughts, but in general I think they're one of the most interesting relationships in the series (and ZUN's favorite in DDC apparently >:3), whether it's interpreted as romantic or not. That being said, there's clearly some kind of affection or attachment in canon given how much they've interacted and how they stuck together in the end despite how things started, and that makes me really happy. I love the push and pull, the "we're partners in crime and then I turn on you and then we're together again etc" of it all... It's just really really good.

The other day I was talking with a friend about the amount of canon content they got for a duo that isn't made of main or recurring characters, and it's actually... a lot... A lot more than I would've believed 10 years ago at least!!

Things done in fanworks that annoy me: I'm not super vocal about it because I did it too back in the day, when there wasn't much to work with besides DDC's basic plot, but with everything we got now I have a hard time enjoying works where Shinmyoumaru's just a poor victim of Seija's lies and nothing else. Or the other way around where there wasn't any conflict and manipulation at all, although that's much more rare lol (but I've seen it)...

Things I look for in fanworks: The main appeal to me nowadays is how they change one another in a way that just wouldn't happen in their interactions with other characters, so I'm very fond of works where her meeting with Seija allowed Shinmyoumaru to finally know freedom, or how Seija somehow both mellows and gets worse when Shinmyoumaru's around, etc. Something else I love to see is pre-DDC works where Shinmyoumaru is aware of Seija's lies but rolls with it anyway. I think it goes well with the previous thing of Shinmyoumaru finally getting to live the life she wanted; she gains something from being a pawn anyway, so why would she care?

Also I am a very simple person and seeing Shinmyoumaru sitting on Seija's shoulder or Seija holding her in her hands (and being gentle as she does so, unconsciously) is always the best to me and I hope people continue drawing/writing that. I eat it up

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Realistically, no one lol. I love what happens when you add Reimu to the equation (and Marisa for even more of a mess), and Reimu/Seija is by far my favorite rarepair, but I don't think any of it would work the way seishin could work (with all its ups and downs, but work nonetheless)...

My prefered future/ending for them: I think they should stay the way they are forever :] I'm serious I think it's already perfect the way it is, with the push and pull and sometimes they fall down and they get back together and they annoy everyone in the process etc. I do think Seija's gonna outlive Shinmyoumaru eventually but that part isn't something I enjoy thinking about, as opposed to other pairs where it's a big aspect of it.

What is their favorite activity together: Going places they haven't seen before (mostly for Shinmyoumaru, I think Seija's been around long enough to know most of Gensokyo), and just moving outdoors in general. There's no way either of them can sit still inside for a while without going nuts. And there's more people to bother outside anyway!! I love pictures of Shinmyoumaru exploring nature and I think Seija who spends most of her time outdoors anyway would appreciate the company, regardless of what she says about it.

it's a tie between An Unexpected Party (teylabeth) because it's my longest fic yet (i honestly didn't know i could write more than 3k but this one is over 6k!) and Finally (plant couple) because I think it's one the works where i got the characterization just right!

Kiss me better (MSR)

i completely forgot that i wrote for msr this year but i think this was one of the fics that i wrote at another time and then just polished and eventually published it :) it got 640 hits o.0 (which is understandable given the fact that msr is a huuuuuge ship)

What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

umm... every work that got feedback was more than i expected! especially for the rarepairs (which is most of what i write). the plant couple community was amazing! so to answer this question i'm gonna name Not Just Any Plant which is my first plant couple fic i wrote and which was so lovely received by the small community, but also Finally (also plant couple) and What Happens on the Mainland... (teylabeth drabble collection)

for this year it was Shirley Bassey with "(Where Do I Begin) Love Story" but in general all kinds of artist inspire me, that's why i have a playlist called "one day i will write fanfics to these songs"

Pairing you wrote the most for this year?

Teylabeth! I wrote a bunch of drabbles for them but i think also in terms of words i wrote most for them! *checks stats* okay actually i wrote most works (10!!) for teylabeth but i wrote about 1000 more words for plant couple (plant couple are T'Rina/Saru from Star Trek Discovery btw)

Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?

I think plant couple again? I feel like i'm really able to capture their characters and it's easier to write them than e.g. teylabeth, who i looove, but i think i don't have a real grasp on Teyla (yet)

also plant couple are just so soft and stupidly in love and SOFT i cannot... as a fluff writer they are just perfect

What work was the quickest to write?

hm, that's probably one of the drabbles, they don't take much time for me

What work took you the longest to write?

i think that was "Finally". I used to write fics very quickly and edit them and then post or i would forget about them. but with finally i took my time and really wrecked my brain and rewrote a lot of stuff until i was content with it :) maybe another reason why i am most proud of it, because i had the strength and will to finish it

How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

I honestly don't know bc as i said i forget about a lot of my fics and never return to them so i don't really count them as WIPs, as for those i still want to finish/work on... maybe five?

What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

a few teylabeth ones, one samjack one that spawed from a 5 hour phone call with a friend, and a J/C smut one

I think it was T'Rina from Star Trek Discovery <3 i loved to explore her vulcan-ness struggling with feeling feelings <3

I think it was Teyla, as i mentioned before i sometimes feel like i haven't quite gotten a grasp on her

What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

I want to continue to write for Plant Couple, maybe something else than fluff ;) also i want to continue to write for Teylabeth and maybe come back to SamJack and JC. I also would looove do explore some other f/f ships, maybe even someone (cough vanessa x chloe cough) from SGU (i suck at giving straight answers. it's a trait i got from my dad)

ahahahaha people reread their own works??? jk, but i seriously do not reread a lot of my fics. i think i reread one of my plant couple fics once... no i'm not kidding, and i'm not sure which one it was. I did feel like i read Finally a lot of times but that's because i was editing it for so long
