#I'm at ep 7 of the anime and I'm so mad I left this on my tbr list for so long

I started watching "Unit One" solely because of Mads Mikkelsen. I was on a mission to watch everything he ever acted/ appeared on. (I still am).

However, I'm extremely picky about serieses. Then again, HEU led me to places that I wouldn't have visited with a gun so I was like fuck it, let's start watching a wholeass series cause MADS MIKKELSEN LOOKED HOT AF IN IT.

Now oh boy... Little did I know that I'd end up enjoying Unit One SO much! It's an amazing show and now ik why it's called a Danish classic! All the actors in it did an AMAZING job and goddamn European men are HOT.

I'm so grateful that I decided to watch Mads Mikkelsen's Danish stuff. It has been such a crazy ride. I've only 7 eps left of this show and I'm definitely gonna miss Allan, La Cour , Ingrid and Gabby :")

I've always loved exploring media that are not "Hollywood". Being born in South Asia, I grew up with Bollywood and Anime so I always knew that there are AMAZING stuff out there that are being made all over the world. I just didn't have any source which I could follow when it came to native European media. Then Hannibal happened along with MADS MIKKELSEN. Mads always carries a piece of his root everywhere he goes and that is what makes him SO EXTREMELY charming to me. I love his accent, his non Hollywood teeth, his god like body structure and how fucking original this man is. Getting to explore his Danish films and Serieses made me fall for this man even harder than before. He's one of a kind.

Bonus: LARS MIKKELSEN. I need to thank the Mikkelsen parents atp 🙏. I'm a slut for these brothers.

For some reason I’m not mad at utahime and Gojo I mean was she the best option for him to move on? Definitely not but also she’s been the only person ( besides obviously his friends and mom) that has been by his side and didn’t judge him for his past mistakes and also tries to understand him so I get why Gojo likes her and while yes dating your besties ex isn’t the best thing to do I really believe she just fell for him and she probably tried to fight those feelings but it happened anyway . it’s also true that Gojo deserves a chance to move on. When sn ended i remember one of the things that made me the saddest was the fact that Gojo was basically trapped in time bc he couldn’t move on while YN moved on, grew as a person and found a new love so this is him trying to move on and good for him I think it’s also time for him to forgive himself and continue with his life.

The scene in the office where he’s trying to communicate with yn in a healthy way shows at least to me that he’s really trying to change his past toxic behaviour and how he felt “embarrassed” when yn found out his rs with utahime also shows that he really doesn’t want to hurt her anymore he just wants to move on and try to find his person like yn did with Toji. Now do I think utahime and he will last ? Tbh I don’t think so but who knows I just think Gojo should move on first before trying anything but one thing I love about ur writing is that is super realistic and honestly most ppl try to fall for other ppl to get over their exes and sometimes IT works. Another thing I liked about Gojo in this chapter is that he was very clear with Utahime he didn’t promise her anything and didn’t hide his real feelings/ situation!!! Finally Gojo you could’ve done this sooner … with your ex wife you know 😒

I think yn is the one who left me a little confused in this chapter her whole pov just sounded like she was trying to convince herself that she’s happy and that she loves toji bc it’s the “ right thing to do “ or “ what it feels right” but I’m still not sure if she loves toji bc of him or bc she just wants the security that Gojo never gave her. When she said she felt like she was in the middle of a couple again it made me very sad but idk if it’s bc she still feels something for Gojo or she’s just feels confused bc she is seeing him moving on with her best friend . Oh and one last thing I think it’s depressing how Gojo is becoming the understanding, caring, communicative, loving man yn wanted him to be but for another woman honestly if I was her I would be crying and throwing up but again it was her who told him to move on 😣

Lastly writing is amazing Saint !!! you’re the best at writing angst please never stop this chapter was amazing

As much as it hurts, I know it’s better off this way, with both of them going their separate ways. I know that gojo will always have a place in y/n’s heart and y/n will always have a place in gojo’s heart. Not much of a question but I’m really proud of y/n. She just wants gojo to be happy but I know that first love wound is gonna hurt for her. Ep 7 was more of a comfort, I really liked it. Make sure to not overwork yourself saint, I really appreciate how hard you work for us <3.

I adored this chapter. You might have seen my rb but I'm actually really happy with the way things are turning out. I think it helps that I'm not worried about who or what our end game is. Whether it's Gojo, Toji, or literally no one, the experience of this story itself has been so satisfying and immersive. No matter how it goes, i just need to see it. The heart is so complicated and I love the absolute ambiguity of it all. Sure there have been plenty of wrongdoings and need for forgiveness, but at the current point in the timeline, I really don't see anyone as right or wrong.

Side note: I had a blast reading people's comments on the most recent chapter. Everyone is so mad 😂

Am I the only one who is not hating on utahime because she's with satoru? Like I am super mad about her not telling y/n about her and satoru and at gojo (I feel like I'm always mad at gojo in this fic💀) but at the same time she's not really trying to sabotage anything because y/n and satoru are done with each other and satoru isn't being dumb and actually isn't filing a case for sachi and they're both now trying to move on.

He's trying again to be better and accept his sins and things are looking up for y/n as well so yeah I'm not really mad at anyone except momjo atm tbh.

(Dont get me wrong yall I've been in yn's position recently but in a way less intense sense and I'll forever be mad about hime not telling yn about he and satoru but I just think I'm not mad at any of them rn.)

tttedrawings: Fantasy sequences and the intro/life lessons outro, they just make the episodes shorter, and most of the time aren't really needed at all.

PSideplates: I voted for bouncing since it's closest to the general "kids show" tone that BWBA takes on. It really is like watching a show you put on for your 3 year old so you can leave the room in peace. It hurts to watch. If we were getting the Brenner era where the engines bounced, had ugly details, went worldwide, and got Nia and Rebecca, I'd be miffed but accept it. But BWBA just claims to be TTTE and acts like a generic preschool show. And I don't wanna be in a position where I'm an adult watching a preschool show.

MrDonald09: Agreed. I feel proud to be a fan when I watch classic era and Brenner era, but if it was like BWBA throughout the whole show I can tell you I would not be supporting it now.

PSideplates: I don't. Chuggington ended before they came up with BWBA. If anything, Chuggington made the market for train toys/shows competitive which forced HiT to make good Thomas products, well toys anyway.

ronniethe14xx: Honestly, disagree with the point it's the most general kids show tone. Travelling seems to be the new hip and cool thing to do in kids shows, I'd argue that makes it slightly worse then the bouncing because it's clear Thomas only jumped on that trend to be "hip".

CoolCar161: Henry and Edward stopped appearing as much anyway. They haven’t been good characters since series 4, even in the Brenner era they had little to no appearances due to writer's block. Rivets is a nice little detail that makes them seem more real, Thomas always wanted to see the world and the bouncing is hardly that bad.

TheBlueE21: Thomas' world tour. It's so inconsistent. Doesn't tie into the movie that hyped it up, never explains why or for how long Thomas is in each country, 1 ep he's in China, then Brazil etc then Sodor eps act as though he never left due to always being there. Plus most sets aren't great.

halfbakedhex8: For the record, I voted the 'rivets' option because the inclusion of the new detailing runs so counter to what the show is now, that trying to inflict reality onto the now-very-unreal engines feels very confused as to what the show is trying to achieve.

I don't have a problem with the added details like the rivets, but they do look a little too big. Shrink them in size and they'll be okay. I'm mixed on Thomas travelling around the world if I'm being honest. The new Steam Team is what bugs me the most out of all of these options. I never liked it to begin with (minus my child self). It makes the other characters look useless. What I love about the Classic Series is we got lots of stories about almost each and every single one of them it makes the series interesting. But with the Steam Team, not only does it focus on the main characters so much, but it also brings them out of character. Especially if it's for the sake of the plots.

fan_ttte: The New Steam Team with Nia and Rebecca is what I don’t like most. I don’t mind the bouncing or rivets, Thomas going worldwide is okay. I don't know, I just feel like it would’ve been better if Nia and Rebecca did join, but also keep the others, for some interesting interactions and episodes.

islandofodor: If Thomas hadn’t gone worldwide, we’d probably still be in the Brenner era. Granted, it’d still be a slight step down but the international episodes barely take advantage of the different setting and opt to use generic plotlines that we’ve already seen on Sodor.

I can understand Edward staying at Wellsworth but they did Henry DIRTY by slapping him at Vicarstown so he can focus on his Mainland duties yet not do any episode focused on this new job.

VOLTRON SEASON 8 SPOILERS BELOW!!

My thoughts on s8 and the end of Voltron:

I just finished Voltron and holy shit. If s3-7 were anything like s8, it would have been an entirely different show, as in fucking incredible. The animation and music was amazing as always, but the writing and the story building were so much better than past seasons, they actually delved into the characters and made us feel something for them, the bad guys weren't just bad guys, they had motivations that we could all sympathize with. Honerva was hands down the most fleshed out big bad of the entire show and it made it so much more enjoyable to watch. She wasn't just all 'grr I'm evil imma kill everyone and make morally ambiguous decisions', her story made sense and wasn't just a bunch of mech fights, I mean there were a lot, but there was deeper meaning to them this season, I feel like (PS- ep 2 is probably one of my favorites of the series).

The season flowed incredibly well, and the fun episodes actually fit into and furthered the narrative, so they felt like part of the story, not just a brief aside. And while I wasn't really rooting for Allurance, I'm not completely mad with how they executed it. There's much more I could say about it, but it's beating a dead horse at this point, excuse me, feeding a fed horse, lol #sorrynotsorry

And I know we all wanted Klance, but the way they finally explored Keith and Lance's friendship is almost better in my opinion, it felt genuine and real, and not forced like a last minute romance between them would probably turn out. I think they both need an honest to God friend more than anything and they finally have that in each other. Well done intimate male friendships are just as important as lgbt rep in some cases, because male friendship is so nitpicked and suppressed and stigmatized? I guess?, idk if that's the best way to explain it but whatevs, you know what I mean, and part of it is because of the instant assumption of GAY whenever men are close to each other, both from queer people looking for rep and from bigoted assholes who think touching another guy outside of fistbumps and brohugs makes you gay. I know I'm probably gonna get shit for that opinion, but idc at this point because it's true.

And the ending, oh my god, the ending. It wasn't a simple, stereotypical happy ending, there was so much loss, but everyone was able to create their happiness out of it, which I think is so much more powerful. There was redemption that wasn't tacky, and there was recovery without moving on too quickly like nothing happened.

Best of all, holy shit they got us fam, "Shiro found his happiness and finally left the battle behind" (I'm not crying, you're crying, let's be real, we all ugly cried during the credit montage).

It may very well be that I wake up tomorrow with more critical opinions after I've had time to think more about it and read other people's analyses, but as of right now I can say, I am happy with how it ended. The showrunners by no means redeemed themselves after everything from the past few seasons, but they truly did finish strong, and I can sure as hell appreciate that.

This season had its flaws, as did seasons past, and this show was by no means perfect, but I'm glad I was here for the ride. The people I've met, the creativity that it inspired, the community it created (mostly, yeah there are some toxic pockets, but the core fandom, the bits without all the discourse and drama, they're fucking fantastic), I love Voltron for it, even with all the emotional trauma it put me through the last few years. The end of the source material is always a bit of a milestone in a fandom, even if we continue to create and expand this world Voltron has given us. I'm just thankful for all of it.
