Good Omens is great because they had the archangel Gabriel show up in the beginning of the first episode as a portent of impending doom and then went OKAY that's enough plot, time to get these guys in various period costumes and try to make the lesbians across the street kiss

"...Cars?..." She put a thumb to her chin. "Never heard of them. If it's some sort of transportation most people either travel on their feet or horses..."

“Oh, I’ve never heard of anyone calling their teacher that before, to be honest it sounds pretty cool though!” Like something out a fantasy manga, almost!

Although, her being unfamiliar with Tokyo and even Japan did throw a wrench into things…!

“Uh, where are you from, then…?” He tilts his head to the side trying to see if maybe he can look up where she’s from - wherever it was, it must have been pretty damn far…! “Is that how people travel where you’re from…? Using magic spells and all..?”

“H-Huh..!?” His eyes widened incredulously as he pointed at a passing car, now beginning to wonder if this girl was just messing with him. “That’s no metal box, it’s a car…! People drive cars! Cars aren’t a thing where you live…?”
