Rodrick Heffley sort of hated you. 

Okay, not really. It wasn’t that Rodrick hated you—you weren’t fake or mean, or some weirdo who would make him cringe. You were just... well, weird. He’d totally clocked that you had a crush on him after, like, a minute. It was obvious.

The blushes when he walked by, the borderline embarrassing comments on his Instagram—it was like a neon sign. But you were cute. Annoyingly cute. With your big sunshine smiles, dorky jokes, and all that awkward eye contact whenever you bumped into each other at school. 

He gave you hell about being “weird.” But he liked it. Actually, loved it. This perv already pictured you in dozens of sexual scenarios with imaginary reactions he’d love to see. Like, would you be all shy when he took off his clothes or would you laugh if you got into some creative position? Would your glasses be foggy? He really wanted to see you with nothing but your glasses on.

You were just a girl giggling at his Instagram posts. His story, of course, featured him slumped on a museum bench, arms crossed, staring at some abstract painting like it had personally offended him. The caption? “Modern art is dead. Let me out.”

You knew better than to expect a sweet reply. It was either ghosting or snarky comebacks. Spoiler alert—you got the snarky reply.

But seeing him in person? Still the worst thing ever.

Which is exactly why you froze when you spotted him one afternoon, sitting lazily on the steps of his front porch. He looked perfectly disheveled in his black metal band shirt, one leg stretched out, his back leaned casually against the doorframe. Like a damn indie rock album cover.

Your brain screamed nope, but your feet had already carried you halfway past his house before—

"Hey, dorky.”

Rodrick’s voice broke through your panic like a needle to a balloon. You skidded to a halt, eyes wide. Slowly, you turned, clutching the strap of your bag for dear life.

“Hey…” you squeaked, adjusting your glasses.

Rodrick smirked, pushing off the steps. “You think I’m a ghost or something? You walk past here like I don’t exist.”

Your cheeks burned. “I—uh—I didn’t see you.”

“Totally believable.” Rodrick’s smirk grew. “You said you bought a Misa costume, remember? Wig and everything. And also the whole limited edition of the dolls and stuff.”

You blinked, horrified and excited at the same time.“I—I didn’t think you’d remember that.”

“Why wouldn’t I?” He tilted his head, hands shoved in his pockets.

“I don't know…”

“Relax. It’s kinda sick, actually.” His gaze flicked over you like he was sizing you up. “You’d look good as Misa.”

“Really?” you jumped, clapping your hands. “I'll dress up like her everyday and I already bought her necklace.”

“You’re so awkward,” he teased, voice softer. “C’mon. What’s the rush? You’re always running past here like I’m gonna bite. Unless…”

You stared at him, unsure if your heart was about to stop or explode. “Unless…?”

“Unless you would like to get bitten by me.”

Your face turned scarlet. “Why…Why do you…?”

Rodrick rolled his eyes, turning back toward the house. “You’re impossible. I was gonna invite you in, but whatever. Get home safe.”

And with that, he disappeared inside, leaving you standing in the street, cheeks flushed, completely stunned. He just landed on the floor, stomping his head on the wall.

“Shit. I wanna see her in that outfit.” He cried out with his cheeks beet-red.

“She's so cool. Did you know she draws like a pro?" Greg cheered, watching you make your steps to your home, still confused.

“yourusername? She gave me pokemon cards for free in her parents store when I told my mother that I loved pokemon! A limited one. Pew peww.” Rowley exclaimed happily, stepping back when Rodrick stood up with a murderous look. “Uh-oh.”

Then he remembered, stopping him from the possible child murder. Only himself knew the cutie clumsy patootie you were, which made him giggle to the ground, curling his hands on the hem of his shirt.

“Ewww.” Greg hissed, frowning.

“I think your brother likes her.” Rowley smiled, walking to Greg's room, who was totally disgusted by the sight of his brother lifting his toe like a little girl.

The next week, someone invited Rodrick to a costume party. Sure, the music was decent, and someone brought a vintage vinyl player, which kept him from leaving immediately. The worst part is that you didn't come. “Socialization fear, Rod. Not my thing”. By midnight, he was leaning against a wall, phone in hand. Grinning when he saw you post you in your Misa outfit.

He wasn’t even sure why he posted a photo of himself dressed as L from Death Note. Maybe out of boredom. Maybe because he hoped you’d see it.

Cheesy as hell. But effectively, you have seen it in a minute.

“God, you look so perfect.”

The message was simple—too simple for you. No silly emojis, no teasing lines. For some reason, that made him pause. And then, before he could talk himself out of it, he did something impulsive: he called you.

The line clicked after just two rings. “What the—Rodrick?”

He smirked at the sound of your flustered voice. “Didn’t think you’d answer so fast.”

“You called me,” you sputtered, nearly knocking over everything on your desk, your glasses almost broke on the floor. “What’s going on?”

“Party’s boring.” His voice was low and smooth, a little breathless. “Some kid thought I was Steve Jobs.”

You burst out laughing. “Oh my god. That’s so tragic.”

“Yeah, laugh it up, Misa Misa.” He hesitated, voice softening just slightly. “I wish you were here.”

And just like that, his status went offline before you even had time to reply. He stuffed his phone into his pocket, walking away from the party like he’d just dropped a bomb, not even bothering to say goodbye to anyone.

"What the heck was that?!" you exclaimed, staring at your phone like it had grown a second head. Rodrick Heffley called to say he wanted you to be with him? That couldn’t be real.

And yet, the disbelief hit even harder when your doorbell rang. You opened the door, and there he was—smudged eyeliner and messy dark shadow to fake L’s signature tired look. Meanwhile, you were fully dressed as Misa Amane. What even was this situation?

"Good thing I made it before you ditched the cosplay," he said with a lopsided grin, still catching his breath. He had run to your house. Rodrick Heffley, running. For you.

You stood frozen, like a deer caught in headlights. Say something! Come on, say something! your brain screamed.

"Uh… Let’s... let’s go inside, Lawliet. I, uh… I have candy!" you stammered in a sweet tone, fumbling over the words. Your cheeks burned with embarrassment.

Rodrick burst out laughing, loud and unfiltered, before slapping a hand over his mouth, trying to keep it cool. But the faint pink tint on his face gave him away. He couldn’t believe how adorable you looked, trying so hard to pull off Misa.

"What’s so funny?" you mumbled, shifting your weight awkwardly, your face heating up even more.

"Nothing..." he snorted, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye as his laughter died down. "Can I come in?"

"I… My parents… They’re, uh, kinda strict about guys being here," you muttered, cringing at how childish you sounded. Why did your parents have to be like this now of all times?

Rodrick clicked his tongue and shrugged. "Oh...Okay." But then he shot you that goofy, lopsided grin again, and you couldn’t help but smile back, even if it was a little shy.

"What?" you asked, giggling softly as you played with a lock of your blonde wig.

He shook his head, made a finger-gun motion with his hand, and turned to leave. But just as he took a step, he paused, spun back around, and said, "You know I like you, right?" His voice was casual, but his eyes told a different story.

"Stop messing with me…" you mumbled, barely above a whisper. Your heart was pounding in your chest. But instead of laughing, he stepped closer, hesitating for a moment before cupping your face gently. His eyes locked with yours, and for a second, the world seemed to stand still.

Then, he leaned in and gave you the softest, quickest kiss on the lips.

"Not messing with you, Misa," he said, dropping into L’s signature monotone. You couldn’t help it—you laughed so hard, your shoulders shook.

"Hey, no fair using my OTP!" you pouted, crossing your arms, but he just smirked and kissed you again.

"I’ll use whatever it takes to get you to notice me, nerd," he teased, his voice warm and playful. Then, with one last grin, he stepped back and turned to leave.

You stood there in the doorway, heart racing, watching Rodrick Heffley walk away like you’d just stepped out of the last scene of a shoujo anime.

I can show you lots of videos of Grey Delisle saying Azula and Zuko are totally fucking (including one she recorded for my birthday), and there's an infamous clip of Bryke proposing Azula and "The Blue Spirit" as a potential ship in a pannel. Somehow I don't think you'll take that as meaning my OTP is canon and was just robbed of it's endgame at the last second - but apparently tumblr posts are solid proof, therefore my argument is perfect and all you Zutara fans are now gonna have to accept that you ship Katara with a guy that canonically (by the standards YOU GUYS are trying to set at least) loves incest even more than Jaime and Cersei Lannister did. And oh, would you look at that! During one of the times Grey mentioned Zucest, Dante said "The Fire Nation are a bit like the Lannisters." See the links if you don't believe me. WHERE'S YOUR GOD NOW?

The creators/showrunners, writers, and lead writer have all said a billion times "Kataang was always the heart of the show and by the time the first episode aired we were set on it being endgame. Some people in the crew liked BOTH Kataang and Zutara, but Zutara was NEVER seriously considered as a real possibility for endgame or even temporary romance. The only love triangle ever considered was Aang, Katara and MALE Toph."

It doesn't matter how many interviews yall fake, how many clips you take out of context, how many deleted scenes you claim existed without a shred of proof to back it up, how many times you go "but this actor whose job is ACTING not WRITTING says he likes Zutara" or "This writer that wrote tons of Kataang episodes said the word Zutara once when writting a scene between Zuko and Katara" - your ship is still fanon. That's not a dig at you or saying it's bad, it's just a fucking fact.

Write some fanfic if you like it so much, but don't turn the production of the series itself into your fanfic just so you can lie to yourself about how there was ever any chance of you getting what you wanted in the actual canon.

And for real, you're gonna try to use the LIVE ACTION as proof? The thing the creators disowned? Netflix's over-glorified cosplay session that everyone keeps saying "It's mid at best" is THE argument you go for? Have some goddamn standards, I'm begging you.

I didn't actually get tagged but I saw @fromthedeskoftheraven had done this and it looked like fun so I wanted to answer these questions too 💖

What's the origin of your blog title? I don't fully remember the exact reasoning behind it. But I used to have an old writing blog that was called wordsforbananas so maybe it was just a twist on that?

OTP(s) + Shipname: Jayvik is my latest OTP crush. I'm also very fond of Steddie and Stavier. For some reason, I can't think of any ship OTPs that are actually canon atm. It might be because the slow burn fan in me often loses interest a bit once the characters actually get together unless the creator has a clear plan how to keep their relationship interesting beyond the pining.

Favourite colour: Orange and green

Favourite game: I adore the Unlocked! games. It's like a fun escape room in a box.

Song stuck in your head: Messy - Lola Young. I saw a video of a cartoon cat singing it and the lyrics of the chorus fit surprisingly well. So now I've been singing it all week.

Weirdest habit/trait? I'm trying to think of something but every weird habit that comes to mind is just very mild on the weird scale. Like sometimes eating carrots like a corn on the cob or preferring fake plants to real ones in my home. I like for my friends and loved ones to pick out my perfumes so I can think of them every time I wear them, but I don't think that counts as weird.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, sewing, daydreaming, secondhand shopping for cool clothes, building lego, and a bunch of other stuff that catch my attention for a week or two before I move on.

If you work, what's your profession? I work at a hospital. Mostly with pain management and gastrointestinal issues.

If you could have any job you wish, what would it be? I'm quite happy where I am now. But if I were to switch, I would probably want to work with Doctors Without Borders.

Something you're good at: I used to be quite good at archery but I haven't done it in a bit so not sure if I still am. I think I'm pretty funny, and I tend to stay calm in a crisis.

Something you're bad at: Cooking. Horribly bad at that. And I have no patience when it comes to waiting for things that excite me. I am also a world-class procrastinator.

Something you love: My family and friends.

Something you could talk about for hours off the cuff: This might make me sound like a bit of a gossip, but I love talking about people. Not in a mean-spirited way. Just catching up or talking about cool stuff they've done. For example, I love listening to my mother tell me about what the people back home have been up to (even the ones that I barely know) and telling her about what's new in my friend's lives. It makes me feel connected to people even if they're not physically close.

Something you hate: small-mindedness and when people get judgemental over things that are harmless.

Something you collect: Fandom trinkets, cosplay outfits that I rarely have an occasion to use, clothes, pretty stationery, and anything that'll make my home cozy.

Something you forget: ...is it ironic that I can't think of anything atm. I think I usually have an okay memory.

What's your love language? I never know if this means how I show love or if it's how I want to receive it so I'll answer both. I show love through Touch (but don't always like it when others touch me) and words of affirmation. And I feel the most loved when others give me words of affirmation (hello praise kink) or acts of service. It makes me feel taken care of and loved.

Favourite movie/show: Favorite movie: The Fall. Favorite show: too many to count. Currently, I really like Arcane.

Favourite food: Sushi

Favourite animal: Cats

What were you like as a child? A bit of a loner sometimes. Not very shy but just introverted. I loved reading and spent a lot of time doing that. I was very responsible and looked out for my little sister and her friends a lot of the time. I had one close friend that I hung out with. We watched Disney movies and baked cookies.

Favourite subject at school? Any language subject. I also really enjoyed PE because then I could run around and play sports with my classmates and I was decent enough at most sports. Hated long-distance running though. Found it boring and pointless. Still do.

Least favorite subject? Math probably. I did not like that there was a definitive answer to things and that I couldn't talk and bullshit my way to the right answer.

What's your best character trait? I think I'm a good listener and a loyal friend. And I like that I can usually make people laugh.

What's your worst character trait? I think I can get a bit distant sometimes. Especially when people message me. There's something about being available at all times through my phone that just rubs me the wrong way and I think the messages sometimes become a reminder of that (even if there's rarely any pressure from the person messaging me that I have to reply right away). And I know that sometimes I take that too far and wait too long to reply.

If you could change any detail of your day right now what would it be? I'd like to find a way to procrastinate less. I find it sometimes keeps me from doing stuff I would really enjoy.

If you could travel in time who would you like to meet? My great-grandparents on my mother's side. They seemed like such badass and fun people, and I've heard so many stories about them.

Recommend one of your favourite fanfics (spread the love!): I am absolutely in love with the Sweet Series by @oonajaeadira. It has excellent writing, Javi G, an amazing reader character, and all kinds of softness. Anyone who loves Javi will LOVE this series.

What's the origin of your blog's title?

It's the nickname/artist name that I've been using for the past 8~ years. I came with it one day at a friends house because I wanted to become a youtuber and have a special name for my channel.

Funny enough my name is misspelled, it should be "Brillo Púrpura" (Purple Glow) but I was like 9 when I chose this name and clearly didn't know how to write.

Favorite Fandoms:

There are too many but of the top of my head right now: Amnesia, Creepypasta, Destiny 2, FNaF, Genshin Impact, LoL, Shadow of The Colossus, THE FINALS.

I've been shipping Slenderman x Jeff The Killer since I'm a kid, it's quite literally my comfort ship.

Hobbies:

Apart from drawing I really enjoy sewing! I'm trying cosplay this year. If everything goes right I will cosplay as Crow in the future. I'm also learning to do embroidery and I'm making myself a Destiny inspired jacket (won't say much because I'll jinx it)

If you could have any job you wish what would it be?

I really, really want to become an Environmental Artist for Frictional Games or Hearth Machine or perhaps on my own small indie studio.

It depends. Snack? Soy Sprouts Full meal? Any type of fried fish, specially whitebait and mojarrita (can't find the actual translation for this one sorry). Dessert? Ricotta Pie Drink? Matecocido, mate or tereré. Any variation of mate honestly.

Favorite animal:

I know that as the one with 37 cats the answer may seem obvious but I actually love chickens! It's apparently something that I carry on since I was a kid and nobody in my family has an actual explanation for it since I never owned a chicken.

Are you musical?

Of course! I know how to play the bass and I'm going to learn both electric guitar and drums this year. I also went to ballet and tango classes when I was a kid.

I'm pretty bad at dancing now but I do it often to warm up for the day.

Favorite subject in school:

Math! I went to a socials school so math was one of the only subjects were the answer to a problem was definitive and not so subjective.

Least favorite subject:

Art, not because it was bad or anything! But since I was known as the "artist" in the class every group project was more of a "We'll give you ideas, you do it" thing.

What's your best character trait?

I'm told I'm pretty funny! Probably because I'm pretty fast to make jokes about the situation at hand.

Worst character trait:

I think that everybody randomly hates me for no reason. We can be friends for years and I will still think that you are talking to me not because you like me but because you see me as a chore.

If you could change any detail of your day right now, what would it be?

I want it to rain, not only because it's so fucking hot right now but because I like rain.

If you could travel in time,who would you like to meet?

Both my grandads died before I was born, I would really like to talk with them and know how much we shared. But outside family I would love to see a Les Luthiers show.

what’s your OTP for your muse(s)?

Neya & Thor are the only two applicable options here when it comes to things outside platonic/familial relationships. Opacho is 5 and Jack is also just a baby, but she's like best frienemies with Faolan. I know when you hear OTP its usually referring to romance but I'm super big on platonic relationships being OTPs!

That being said Neya x chemistry, she's not overly complex but Neya is a kind-hearted and deeply supportive type of character who despite often being in situations where she's in way over her head, is willing to persevere and overcome whatever obstacle that may be, especially when it involves people she cares about! If our characters build a relationship through our writing then I will never say no to it! This also applies to Thor! They have a good relationship built through us writing together and/or chatting about stuff via messages I'll never say no.

what are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

Pretty much anything, except you know the obvious and universal no no's.

how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

Hoo boy ok. So, Neya, for her era (and the author even states this in the manga) at 16 she's considered an adult. On that alone I'd do 2 years younger and 4 years older cause I'm just trying to think of how it'd be from her time period. Now, this ONLY applies specifically for [main verse || itsuwaribito] when she's in her canon universe or some other feudal-era settings. I understand she's still 16 and other people don't vibe with that, I don't force anything on people (at least not intentionally, if you ever feel like I write something that makes you uncomfortable please tell me!) and romance is never my first or main priority, I like crushes/gradual friends to dating/lovers etc when writing anyway. This also obvi needs to be discussed first cause duh. Also, I'm fine with like 'x character looks 16/17 but is actually 100+ years old' (I’m an Inuyasha girly uwu, so we love a good demon/immortal s/o pairing).

For the verse where she's stuck in the future, [verse || under a rock] she is by modern-day laws legally underage. I'd go for 2 at most maybe 3 years older, 1 year younger. For the sub-main verse set at the end of the series with her running her village [verse || nanushi] she's canonically an adult there so I can deal with 10 years older or whatever and when it comes to the monsters/demons/immortal characters, so long as both parties are consenting adults it's cool!

Thor's a talking rodent. He's adult age and would be considered a young adult by human standards I suppose. So as long as the other creature is adult-aged it wouldn't matter to him. I can't put too much thought into this one, trying to make the math make sense is gonna hurt my brain, but obviously NO child-age creatures.

are you selective when shipping?

Can't really say, like excluding Coschu x Surgechu, which happened gradually through jubilantsparks and I's constant gushing about our chus via DMs I've never really shipped seriously with anyone else before so I can't really give an honest opinion about it *kanye shrug*

how far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

When they start undressing and getting real handsy, but none of that will ever be happening here so no need to worry!

Who are other muses you ship your muse with?

For Thor, specifically in his Lt. Surge Raichu verse (affectionately shortened to Surgechu) I shipped him with jubilantsparks' Fem!Pikachu OC Elysia who had a Cosplay Pikachu verse (affectionately shortened to Coschu). Coschu x Surgechu was fun and I miss them :') Also, Thor and Elysia in general were my favorite platonic OTP that could have easily become romantic cause they loved and cared for each other so much as best friends who could have just as easily become something more if they wanted to </3

NeRiya with Jade's Iriya . We've had many discussions about this enemies-to-friends/maybe more slow burn/redemption arc for Iriya. I cherish it deeply and Iriya deserved better than what he got in canon ; n ;

does one have to ask to ship with you?

Hmm, not really? I have a very chill and go-with-the-flow type of mindset when it comes to building relationships and shipping in general. I've only had two (2) actual ships during my entire time here on this site. I have a bad case of anxiety brain when it actually comes to shipping and I never wanna assume or push anyone into doing anything so it's rare I ever approach. I'll just sit and vibe and settle with my time in the friendzone while making up scenarios in my head like the dork I am.

Ok, after getting some answers on what multishipping is from an RP standpoint, I want to say yes I am. I'd have no issues with having multiple ship partners. Every character interaction is like in their own separate universes so like I can't understand limiting myself as a single ship. This is subject to change but like I said, I barely have any shipping experience.

More-or-less! As stated above I don't really ask or approach first for ships soooo if it happens it happens. I'm down for shipping off of chemistry through a gradually built relationship!

ooh chile I'm in a bunch of fandoms lol so I'll just go with the fandoms for my muses specifically. For Pkmn it'll always be ShinHika/Paul x Dawn/ Ikarishipping. Pokeani can pry that dynamic from my cold dead hands.

I only believe some of it tbh. Not saying I think they're lying but I just wish they gave more details and it wasn't fuzzy, as I'm sure Madelaine did know and did try to tell Cole (since she and Lili shared an apartment at a time, also Madelaine has always expressed her preference between the two, it's evident in interviews) we know Lili had multiple ppl fired off the show because she was jealous and unfollowed the entire cast multiple times because she's petty asf, then followed them back because they were ALL about to unfollow her.

I also find it funny when Lili's stans try to say he abused her and Bree. Because Bree was called out for lying by her own friends as well as his, and she HERSELF admitted to lying about it then deleted all the posts before Cole got the chance to take legal action. Plus, Lili herself debunked the abuse claims and cheating claims MULTIPLE times, said her poetry was fiction then tried to backtrack when Cole started dating Ari. Lili and Jack's EYES tell you how mean they are. Cole's eyes show emotional damage but also kindness, as do Ari's.

Nerdy Confessions: Leviathan x Male! Reader

Levi’s chest tightened and it was hard to breathe, but he refused to let it show. For weeks, his crush on his human companion has only worsened, making it difficult to actually function around you. He’s had a crush on you for months, shortly after he’s made his pact with you. It started off as a fleeting feeling, barely noticeable through his excitement of having another weeb in the house. After getting to know you better, getting you into TSL and learning about what mangas you preferred, what animes you enjoy falling asleep to, what games you pull all-nighters on… he could barely contain himself around you. What really hammered the nail into the coffin was when you agreed to cosplay some of your favourite characters with him and create content while in it. So many comments flooded his page, asking who you were, if you were his boyfriend, how you’re someone’s OTP.

Those comments really got him thinking and made him analyze how he felt about you on a deeper level. The more he thought, the more he realized. The more he realized, the more he got anxious. You were his best friend, he felt like he could read you pretty well. Desperately believed you felt the same way about him as he does you. But the male still had his insecurities. Ever since you came, you’ve helped raise his self esteem, reprimanded him whenever he called himself a “yucky otaku” and instead helped him be more confident about being a nerd, but something about confessing his feelings for you terrified him. Made him think you were too high a level for him to interact. Compared to you, he felt like an NPC and you were the Hero player. Unfortunately for him, he’s too blind to realize that you’re one to often fall for side characters.

It annoyed his brothers to no end, especially Asmodeus. The fifth born loves to tease you and make lusty remarks, hell, he’d love to have you as a partner himself, but at some point you reached a moment where he was just so done with you two dancing around each other. It’s so painfully obvious you both like each other, even Diavolo sees it way up in his castle.

It was after a movie night, everyone was cleaning up their mess, from pillows and blankets, to dropped popcorn. You and Levi kept bumping into each other, giggling, completely blind to the very obvious blush on both of your cheeks. Asmodeus squeezed the pillow he was holding and only looked at you with a frown while taking a deep inhale.

“Asmo, don’t,” Lucifer warns quietly. “We all see it.”

“It’s just so frustrating watching them,” he hissed. “We all like him, we all know it, but he likes Levi of all people and they’re both too stupid to do anything about it.”

He damn nearly growled as he watched you agree to make Beel something to eat before bed as Levi only watched you sadly as you walk to the kitchen with his brother. The third born shuffled sadly to his room, his blankets and pillows in tow, jealous of how much of your attention is off of him and on someone else, planning on gaming his feelings away like he usually did.

“Asmodeus, I wouldn’t,” Satan piped in. “It’s a bad idea.”

“No!” Asmo shouted. “I’m gonna meddle!” He threw what all he was holding back on the couch and stomped after his older brother, intent on ending this silly little game you both were playing. He knew Levi could hear him outside of his room when he arrived, placing his hands on his hips.

“Open the door.”

“What’s the password?”

“Levi, if you don’t open this ugly door, I will kick it down and smack you with it.”

A moment of silence passes before the door is cracked open, Levi’s wide, golden eyes staring at his younger brother.

“Ye-” Levi was interrupted by Asmodeus shoving the door open, pushing his brother back inside as he closed the door behind him. “What the hell’s your problem?!”

“You!” Asmodeus accused. “You and (Y/N) are so aggravating! Can you just get together and fuck already?!”

“W-what?!”

“Honey, your feelings are so obvious! Don’t you get jealous of how the others just take him from you?”

“Of course I do!” Levi admitted, his voice cracking a small bit. “But I’m just a gross shut-in, so of course he doesn’t want to be around me!”

“You’re an idiot! You’re stupid! How can you not see that (Y/N) likes you back? Romantically! Are you or are you not the Avatar of Envy?! Aren’t you filled with jealousy when someone takes his attention away from you?? Don’t you want to pull him back and say ‘Mine’? Don't you?!”

“Y-yes..?” He answered unsurely.

“Then stop hiding in your stupid corner with your tail between your legs and go make him yours before I do! Or worse; Mammon!”

“You wouldn’t!”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you met Helene- You know I would, but I’m being nice for once and giving you a chance! Now, who’s going to be his boyfriend here?!”

“Me!”

“Louder!”

“ME!”

“Now go make that happen, you stupid!”

Asmodeus yanked open Levi’s door and shoved his older brother out into the hall, following suit. Levi stumbled but regained footing and jogged off back towards the kitchen where you and Beel were currently at. Because of his poor physical state, he was panting and hanging off the doorframe to the kitchen once he got there, his gaze on you and his larger brother. Luckily you were only having a small conversation with Beel, something obviously baking in the oven.

“Are you free?” Levi wheezed.

“Levi, are you okay, you loo-” You started, pushing yourself off the counter you were leaning on.

“Are you free?” He cut you off a bit more desperately, also pushing himself upright.

“Well, I guess, but- yAH!” You yelp as Levi’s hand shot forward and gripped your wrist, yanking you out of the entryway. “Levi!! Y-you can’t just- Ah! B-Beel! When the timer goes off, use oven mitts to take the brownies out. Let them cool before you eat them!!” You had to save your chocolate children before you were out of earshot!!

Once in an empty hallway, Levi looked up and down both ends to make sure no one was there.

“I’m sorry!” He wailed, bending at a straight 90 degrees at his waist. “I had to do it before I lost confidence, but it seems like it’s wearing off too quickly…” He trailed off, his anxieties clawing at him, making him sweat and push his fingers together nervously, avoiding eye contact.

“What the hell did you need me so badly for?” You asked curiously, tilting your head and propping your hand on your hip. This honestly wouldn’t be the first time Levi had trouble asking you for something, but if he was having this much difficulty, it must have been big.

“Uh.. uhm..” He stammered, looking at everything but you. You’re surprised he hasn’t melted yet from how red and hot his face was. You could see it in his hands even! “I-I… I wanted you to be my Player 2!!”

Levi had shut his eyes so tightly so he wouldn’t see your rejection coming, but instead he missed your incredibly confused expression.

“You..” you paused. “Tore me away from brownies to ask me to play games with you..?”

“No! I-...” Levi shook his head, gripping at his hair. “I mean…! I-.. I want you to be my Zero Two to my Hiro! My Winry to my Edward! I want to hold you like a Companion Cube! I want to capture you like a Pokemon! I… like you..”

It was completely silent in the hall, your heart in your throat. You got increasingly more red at his outburst, reaching his level of flush. Levi had his hair covering his eyes, but you knew they were squeezed shut, his shoulders shaking in complete fear, his knuckles white from how tight he was squeezing his fists.

“Your.. player 2..” You repeated softly, now understanding exactly what he was doing. You of course returned his feelings to the max, but just like Levi, you let your insecurities get to you. So you tried distracting yourself by almost always agreeing to help the others whenever they asked.

Quick!! He was slouching! He thinks you’re rejecting him!!

“Uhm,” You mutter, digging your toes into the floor. “I.. am more than happy to… play with you if there’s an open player slot. My controller is all ready.”

That was awful but the way he looked back up at you sure made you feel like a god and he was your avid disciple. With shaky hands, he looks down, reaching for yours. Nervously, you give him your own hands and just gently hold each other, red faces and bright smiles common between you two.

“That was horrible.”

You both snap your heads over to see Asmodeus with a disappointed look on his face. His hip was popped out with his hand resting on it, tapping his finger.

“But whatever,” He sighed, shrugging. “At least you two aren’t playing chicken anymore.” He spun on his heel and began strutting away from the scene. “(Y/N), if anything happens between you two, just come over. My bed always has room for two.~”

Levi’s arms quickly pull you into him, tightly. His face still red but with an angry expression. “No!! M-... Mine!”

“Oh, good for you, dear brother!~ Finally getting to say it!~”

“What?” You ask, glancing up at Levi.

“Nothing!!”
