Hello ! I positively adore the running joke of Idia unknowingly finding Lilia to be the coolest guy ever whenever he doesn't know it's him, like when Silver described his father, or obviously with muscle red. I can't say what'd be funnier, Idia finding out his online best friend is actually Lilia, resident spooky hyper fairy; or them both never finding out, and it'd become even more ridiculous as time goes on. How do you think it'll play out ? You're always so on point

(Also, though it makes sense, I'm still devastated bat boy didn't get a ticket for the Halloween skeleton train : ( does anyone mentions him at some point ? Like how he'd have fit right in with all those Halloween town little freaks, and how he'd have impressed them with his spooks and scared techniques; after all he's been every Briar Valley's children worst fear on Halloween for centuries. I'm on the eng server and I didn't wanna spoil myself by watching the whole thing on youtube)

you and me both, Idia and Lilia being oblivious online BFFs (+ Idia being incredibly intimidated any time Silver brings up his jock gamer dad) is my favorite running joke/subplot. 🤝 it's SO good, to the point where I also am unsure if I actually want it to ever be resolved or not...maybe, like, as a post-canon stinger or something? everyone's standing around covered in overblot ink, and Idia and Lilia's phones go off at the same time...

(legit I do think this is part of why Idia couldn't be present for Lilia's dream, because for some reason Lilia decided he was going to just. embody his past self online. he probably quotes his own battle strategies or whatever in the middle of boss fights. Idia didn't pick up on the whole "oh how weird that we both live on a super remote island" thing, but he would spend thirty seconds listening to General Lilia describing siege warfare and be like "w-wait")

all that aside, however it does end up happening, I do see Lilia being very blasé and all "oh! cool!" about it. y'know, taking it very much in stride! and Idia...very much not.

as for Lilia sadly missing out on Halloweentown shenanigans...he does get one little mention as part of an offhand reference to the light music club, but so far no one has brought up how this basically is just Lost In the Book of Liliatown (Sebek's been too busy yelling about not getting to be in the same group as Malleus). 😔 honestly though, it's probably for the best that he got left out, because he would just settle right in and refuse to ever leave. canon would shatter. we would miss out on all the delightful angst of episode 7 because Lilia is too busy eating poisonous shrubbery inbetween practicing his very best screams, and no one can pull him away from it.

(I can hope for a sequel next year though...)

If Haruhi was in a fighting game (I could see her in Blazblue Cross Tag), this is exactly how I’d imagine her playing. 👏 Her physical prowess is of course nothing to scoff at, she’s very well suited to wall bounce combos. And the SOS Brigade is here to help, but at a limit.

You see, if Haruhi isn’t attacking the opponent while her summons are out, they can’t attack. Because then they’d be showing off their in front of her, and that’s a no-go. They’ll come out and stand there, but they won’t attack until she’s not looking. After a few seconds they’ll leave if the conditions were not filled yet. A lot of her moves are suited to her not looking during the fight. A lot of spinning around, or looking away after she hits you.

She could also not notice her summons when she’s turned around (like she she’s in a cross up), or her taunt where Kyon distracts her (he can be in the background like Anita from Darkstalkers, reacting to the match). He of course could have fun reactions to everyone’s attacks.

Koizumi would have an energy tackle, similar to Charging Stars, one of Captain America’s moves in the Marvel VS Capcom games. Mikuru has Mikuru Beam, which would have to have some visuals for readability’s sake. You could have Yuki do just about anything so just make her Dragon Punch Assist. For balance reasons, the assists can’t attack when Haruhi is being hit or blocking. It would be annoying if you could just set up your reversal if you’re getting pressured. Although honestly, this could be the case, you just need to swap the rules around a bit.

I’d like if Kyon had some use in her Burst meter, like you could spend a little and Kyon will try to save Haruhi. Or jump in from one side and grab her out of the air, similar to what he did that one time Haruhi fell out a window in the light novels.

Ideas for supers

- an ultra combo where she launches you into the air at the end and one of those big blue giants smacks you back down to the ground, leaving Haruhi very confused at to how you came back down so quickly.

- a team up with everyone from the SOS Brigade, and they all do a run pulled right from the Super Driver OP, on their way to beat your ass.

- the aspect ratio of match changes to 4:3, similar to the super heroine Mikuru episode. this is very good for her, as she’s well suited to close quarters combat and wall bounces

And for victory she jumps into Kyon’s arms and hold a peace sign, like that one pic. Another victory, and probably a more necessary one, is the Brigade coming together to do the Hare Hare Yukai. <3

In Dragon Ball Fighterz, the playable character Captain Ginyu stood in for the Ginyu Force as a whole. Most of his special moves would have a different member of the Ginyu Force jump in and attack the opponent on his behalf.

This move summons Guldo to paralyze the foe. That move summons Recoome to hit the opponent. Etc.

Yuki Show episode 3 made a compelling argument that in a Haruhi Suzumiya fighting game, Haruhi's movelist should work like Captain Ginyu's. All of her special moves summon her minions to attack - With Yuki, Mikuru, and Itsuki attacking the foe of their own volition, while Kyon's attack consists of her reaching offscreen or behind her or something, grabbing him by the face, and hurling him at the opponent as her projectile.

Sorry not sorry, anytime I see someone say Peeta's childhood crush as obessive/creepy, I can tell they're reaching so hard or projecting. Because Peeta's crush on Katniss is literally so normal. He never acts on it until they're placed in a life or death situation and he only weaponizes it as a tool to keep HER alive. Peeta's affection for Katniss, is and has always been unconditional and innocent. It's so ick when people twist it into something it's not to perpetuate their narrative.

When he realizes that Katniss doesn't reciprocate his affections and may feel burdened by his affections, he put so much distance between him and Katniss that she admits to missing him and HE gets criticized by most of the fandom for freezing her out.

He has always been respectful to Katniss’s autonomy and respects her boundaries. Is he overly self-sacrificing and have little self worth? Yes, but in comparison to red flags in a partner, this is barely one at all. He’s not abusive at his own volition. Doesn’t guilt her for not liking him back or continuing their lover’s facade to keep their families safe. His flaw is workable and it’s never something that can harm Katniss physically or mentally (at least for the most part). And this is not to mention that Katniss shares these flaws as well.

At the same time, these examples of his self-sacrificing nature are placed within contexts where once again, Katniss and Peeta are planning to die for each other again. Where Peeta is doing the ruthless calculus of war and knowing in the grand scheme of things, his death will have less repercussions than Katniss’. He doesn’t have people relying on him to live. He’s not the one the rebellion is using as a symbol.

“Oh, but he used to watch her go home everyday-“ no. That’s what the movie said in that abysmal cave scene. Even if that were the case, it’s not like he’s stalking her- they go to the same school?? Some people act and cling to this instance as if he’s following her home and stealing her panties. All he’s ever done is watch her (and saved her life) and guess what??? Katniss was watching him too? She’s been taking sneak peeks at him too (oh, he can lift heavy bags of flour so easy, he came in second in the wrestling tournament. 🤨 Giirrrrrl) so I guess their both creepy and obsessive for each other. Match made in heaven 🤷‍♀️
