feeling a bit bummed. Cute cashier at gas station tried to talk to me, but my hearing has been shit lately and it’s already so loud in there, I had to lean in and tell them I’m kinda deaf. Felt bad. They were nice, though. Tried to compliment my shirt. Oh well, I’ll count it as a positive interaction

#seriously tho the gas station has the loudest a/c and they just blast the hell out of it #even on my good days I can barely hear anything in there #that cashier is always so nice tho #it was actually two cashiers and they’re both… umm… cute? can I say they’re cute? i like them #but sadly it seems I’ll never get on first name basis with them 🤷🏻‍♂️#such is life #I usually do self checkout so I don’t have these kinds of interactions #but they were both just standing there and I didn’t want to be rude and avoid them #I’m not super sad #I tried. and I’m happy I could pull out the hard of hearing card #it’s nice to get the chance to tell someone ‘oh I’m not ignoring you.
