Living Through This

There is a softer way to write,

I think,

and the stubbornness that dictates my

life follows into my writing

and I wish there was subtlety

in between the heaps and the days

that keep going on despite my bids

for them to stop; I’m a continuation of

forevers

infinites lay on me

and it flashes before me

reminding me of those who held me

who are no longer here

and the emptiness that fills someone’s room now occupied by none

and life is this crashing thing

and it’s always all or nothing

either you jump or you don’t

either you collapse or you build

and often, it feels that the world

holds no reverence for your success or

failure

and then, other times, perhaps

out of sheer desperation, I

look at the time, and it reminds me of

the small synchronicities that

make me feel there is more

maybe, for a fleeting moment,

the world sees you and gives you

that cosmic nudge telling you

you’re on the right path

and as the days progress,

and I feel alone more often than not,

I feel the universal pull telling me

that I’m heading down the right path.

Museum of things acquired on the road. We proudly display a pound of pistachios I couldn't get myself to eat because I was unsure what to do with the shells. Just enough records to keep a bitch up at night. Books in the stove, books under the bed and books in the hallway. A Small husky mix we named after the great Pharaoh Sanders. We have archived 2 autism diagnosis, 6 acrylic paintings on cardboard, and 1 cello once left in Louisiana. This a museum built from love and desperation. A place where desire devours survival again and again.
