Round 2.5 starts tomorrow, December 19th!

As a reminder, Round 2.5 is a redemption round for Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Tardigrada, and Ctenophora, as they are phyla which did not make the Top 3 but still scored over 1,000 in Round 1. (Onychophora is also a part of this, but as it does not have any classes or orders, its two families will automatically advance to Round 4 because I can’t do anything with them until then lol.)

Round 2.5 will likely have less winners than Round 2 proper, but it could be a chance to get some favs back in the game. If any groups from Round 2.5 score above any of Round 2’s winners (the lowest of which was 853), they will automatically move forward to Round 3. However, if none of them score above 853, only the single top scored group will move forward. As a special treat, as their last shot at redemption, and to make Round 3 as diverse as possible.

Round 2.5 will end January 13th, and the Round 3 start date will be announced shortly after.

#extras #also this is the only redemption round going forward #I’m still going to be figuring out cutoff points sort of halfway through each round because they depend on turnout #but I’m sticking to those cutoff points

I went batshit crazy the moment I saw denise bryson but one thing I really appreciate is that david duchovny kept the feminine mannerisms in the scene where she’s disguised as a man. Like that was a level of care and attention to detail I was NOT expecting for a trans character from the 90s and you do not want to know how much this character simply existing made me tear up

I’m so sorry what is going on in the bridgerton books. Like where are my lavish descriptions of the dresses. The ballrooms. You’re telling me they danced a waltz. A dance ladies had to have permission to dance. And you were focussed on the conversation and not the intimacy of being held and moving as one round a ballroom while staring into your partner’s eyes like they’re the only person who exists??

So I finally got around to watching more Cyberverse, and I finished Season 1. So I decided “eh, why not start Season 2?”

What the goddamn hell is happening

Okay, we start off with a flashback to the AllSpark. Alright, fair enough

Now we’re suddenly on the Moon?? How? Why?? Bumblebee can now talk normally again??

Megatron’s here?? I mean yeah, makes sense he would be on the Decepticon armada ship, but we didn’t see him at the end of Season 1, so I was still kind of surprised

Wait, humans know about the Transformers now?? They were basically non-existent in Season 1, now they know about the Transformers? Are we gonna be getting human characters now?

What the hell is that giant beam going to Earth?? What’s going on?? How did we get on the Moon???

I’m not even halfway through the episode yet, and I’m so confused as to what’s happening
