How strictly do you follow canon?  — I try to follow canon almost to the point, particularly for characterization purposes. unfortunately, trying to take canon development away from shirosaki / hollow ichigo is detrimental to him. without his connection to being the inner hollow of ichigo, most of his personality is taken along with it, leaving him with almost nothing in terms of character ( i won’t go into detail here ). 

i fully stand by my statement that without all the canon events, he is not shirosaki & would become a different person/muse entirely.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  — honestly ??? he’s literally the only instance of a highly intelligent & humanoid hollow that is NOT an arrancar. most of them are "forced” evolutions & they took in shinigami powers with its power, which put them down an evolution line different from the hollow one. they have most likely gained traits that shiro DOES NOT HAVE. he is not an evolution. his soul is entirely hollow, a derivative of white & nothing else. he is a base hollow that was made and became a zanpakuto spirit through unforeseen methods. he’s new. he’s unknown. he is entirely different from an arrancar & almost can’t be compared to one. 

 every single part of his being is a contradiction. he’s a hollow & and a zanpakuto. he’s destructive & protective of ichigo’s soul, even if they are for selfish reasons. there is a not a shadow of a doubt that he’s the only person of his kind, so any character in the entire series ( aside from ichigo ) will be faced with something new. will be faced with an unknown. his entiRE EXISTENCE IS INTERESTING and terrifying at the same time. 

not to mention, have you seen how he fights ??? 

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  — for one, he’s untrustworthy, he’s suspicious, he’s a maniac that will attack at first attack. i would say it is pretty common to avoid him. & he would avoid everyone too cause that’s how he is. not to mention the fact he is trapped inside ichigo & has little to no screentime. 

tbh i don’t blame people who skip from entirely & just make him off as some sort of plot armor. without digging into it, it’s pretty hard to catch a substantive personality. in the long run, he didn’t do much for canon. 

What inspired you to rp your muse?  —  LOOOL see. he was my favorite character and that’s really it. he was just a cool character at the time, but he’s been really fun since he feels so different from writing other characters. 

What keeps your inspiration going?  —   kari. i don’t even need to say more.  writing with other people has been a blast & i truly love everyone here, but without her i probably wouldn’t still be on tumblr right now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you think you give your character justice?  YES / NO. ( all of shirosaki’s portrayals across the fandom varies immensely & i don’t think one is more inherently wrong or right, but i think my version is done very well in terms of keeping within what appears in canon. ) Do you frequently write headcanons?  YES / NO.  Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES very sometimes / NO.  Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day?  YES / NO. ( see: my discord pms with kari ) Are you confident in your portrayal?   YES / NO. Are you confident in your writing?  YES / NO. Are you a sensitive person?  YES / NO.

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?  — i gladly take criticisms !! i have never read the manga of bleach & i actually don’t remember much of the series in general, so i am confident there are things i miss that are either directly or indirectly related to shiro. & i am also sure there are better ways to approach & ‘justify’ some of his more odd actions in the series, so please go ahead and critique me all you like !! however, i will note that if i can find evidence to argue against a criticism, i will most likely not take it. 

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  — absolutely <3 questions are very important because they make you think about things that you may not have thought about before. exploring things about shiro is one of my favorite things to do because of just how he is. 

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  — yes, i would want to know why. when it comes to arguments or disagreements, i am very adamant about how they should go. arguments must include insights on both sides in a mature manner, so you can learn from both perspectives. who knows, you might see something you like & decide to combine it into something entirely new. 

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  — just fine. with shirosaki especially, i don’t think one person has the same idea about him as another LOL in fact, i’m pretty confident many views between me & friends go against each other. there are so many ways to interpret him due to a lack of canon material, it’s just bound to happen.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  — i’d think you’re a little crazy tbh. that or you missed everything that made him interesting. i may get not seeing much in him & ignoring him but omg i don’t really get how you could hate him ??? tybw solidified that idea even more, but eh. if you hate him, you hate him. don’t bring that hate over to me :P

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  yes. i am a grammar disaster. literally the worst. fuck grammar, man. 

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  uh. depends on who you speak to ??? i’m pretty intimidating at the first few glances, i’ve been told L O L. but i am actually very very very easy going & am okay with a lot of things. also i crave social interaction like all the time so.

Unpopular opinion, but the “Treat Yoself” self care ideal is EXTREMELY HARMFUL to people with BPD and actually dangerous to us.

As someone with the most extreme case of borderline you can possibly imagine in the impulsivity category, the “Treat Yoself” ideal has made me a much happier person these past few years. . .but it has also p much ruined my life. If I didn’t have an insane amount of help from a million different angles supporting me at all times, I’d be a goner.

Example: I signed a lease to a new apartment just a week or so ago, maybe not even that long ago. I have to pay the first month rent before I move in on the 1st of next month otherwise I cannot move in. I had 5k, almost 6k dollars to my name a mere 2 or 3 days ago. I now have less than 2k to my name. How? Who knows. Certainly not me! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Someone who is uneducated on what BPD is about would say that’s just a normal human being irresponsible or not knowing how to manage money, etc etc etc. They usually fall on the “no self control” shtick that we should all know by heart by now. There’s a million things that everyone with BPD has heard before, but we all know very well none of the things these people say are even close to the core of the issue.

There’s a H U G E difference between people who have no self control and people with borderline. People who have no self control are just kind of starting to wade into the shallow end of the pool without testing how cold or hot the water was first with their issues and then they can sometimes get to the point of *safely* falling off the side of the pool deck and into the shallow end again where they are in no danger of drowning. . .while people with borderline have just rock-climbed a waterfall cliff in the middle of a forest by themselves with no harness and then *immediately* proceeded to jump off of the cliff backwards and blindfolded into the lake full of water below without ever having checked to see if there were rocks in the water or how deep the water was.

That is how significantly different those two categories of people are and that is why it is *SO* frustrating when the layman diminishes BPD and says, “Oh, you’re just being irresponsible with money. It’s okay! Everyone does it.” No, good sir. Everyone does NOT do these kinds of things. NORMAL. HEALTHY. PEOPLE. WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS! If they did, it would be a CONSCIOUS DECISION to do it and it would be controlled and they would have fail-safes and back-up plans galore in place in case something went wrong! Normal, healthy people would never live like borderline people are forced to live.

If I could show someone that I am only just now finding permanence for the first time SINCE I TURNED 18 IN 2010 and am just hoping it works out and don’t know if it actually will because, well, BORDERLINE. . .maybe people around the world wouldn’t recite those lines like they were reading from a script.

There’s a million things I could list and that one tiny run on sentence is not even close to scraping the tip of the iceberg. That’s like...uh, getting close enough to feel how cold that iceberg must be so you can say “Wow that must be cold to touch!” without even having touched the iceberg yet, nevertheless having scraped it. If you catch my drift.

People just think that when we mention we’re impulsive as a sort of warning to them, it’s a cute flirting thing or an adorable personality quirk. Like, “Oh, you’re spontaneous? That’s wonderful! I love spontaneous people. I love to go on wild adventures! Hanging out with you will be so fun!” No, my dude. My pal. My buddy. My friend. That is not what we mean at all. When someone with borderline says “impulsive”, they *DO* *NOT* mean “spontaneous”. Ever. We do not group the word impulsive with spontaneous in these warnings.

The impulsivity issues will ruin our lives over and over again unless we actively fight it every single second of every single waking moment. There is no resting. There are no breaks. There is no escape. It is a constant battle between that “DO THE THING”/”TREAT YOSELF” mindset that we have a natural tendency to do without a second thought like it is second nature...AND that other side of having to FORCE ourselves to stop immediately when we are about to engage in the thing that we have already started doing/saying/whatever as soon as the thought entered our mind (it happens that fast, yes) and force a corrective thought/behaviour into place so that we can think about what we are about to do first and actually weigh the pros and cons and THEN decide whether or not to do the thing like a NORMAL PERSON would.

I don’t like to say we act on emotion. . .because I don’t feel like I do. I’m not sure if others with borderline feel they do, but I certainly don’t because there simply isn’t enough time for there to be any emotion and I know this will sound so stereotypical, but. . .I’m an Aquarius. I just don’t experience emotions like others do, honestly. Hahaha. #onlyaquariankidswillunderstand

When you’re borderline, your actions practically coincide with your thoughts. The second you think about doing a thing, there is no question about whether it’s going to be done or not: It’s already been done by the time one could even inquire as to whether it should be or not.

We have *NO* impulse control. None. Nada. Negative. Less than none. ZERO. We exist without it. I can’t remember a time in which I existed with any ounce of impulse control that wasn’t enforced by me in a way in which I was hyper-cognizant of my enforcing it at all times. I have always existed without it. Every day is a struggle to enforce something that we do not have and never have had. Every day is a constant struggle to enforce something that we have never experienced in a natural state.

Every day is a constant struggle to try to find that middle balance between the two extremes of Treat Yoself and You Don’t Deserve Anything At All, since those seem to be our only two settings.

We either feel we deserve the world and should have all the things. . .or we should rid ourselves of everything and never have anything, nevertheless buy anything for ourselves or accept anything offered.

Being borderline is living in a world of extremes and having to force your way into some parallel universe that doesn’t really exist to find a middle ground and then having to fight every single day you wake up for the rest of your life for your right to stay in that parallel universe.

It is exhausting. Being at one extreme or the other constantly while desperately wanting to be at a middle ground all the time or even at a straight, chill, nothing for once in your life is fucking exhausting.

Being borderline is exhausting and having all these people who really don’t know anything try to disparage the issue by saying we are spontaneous (in a flirty or quirky way) and just have no self control (”which is just a human thing! don’t worry, you’re young! you’ll get there!”) is just SO exhausting.

Treat Yoself is a GREAT concept for just about everyone!...except for the small portion of the population that is borderline.

Feel like you can relate? I basically wrote this because I’ve been thinking about this for a VERY long time and I actually have talked about this aloud with one of my roommates TWICE now (maybe more than twice, Idk) because of so many reasons.

I figured it was about time to finally write up the text post that went along with the conversations I’ve been having irl.

I really hope someone can relate and that I’m not just rambling fucking crazy things over here. I don’t think I am. I think this is #relatable af. I really do. But I won’t know until I post it and tag it and see if anyone else can relate.

Obviously, I know the BPD section will be filled with people who don’t actually have BPD (aka self-dxers who have given themselves BPD and who knows what other millions of things who most likely do not actually have BPD), so if you actually have a BPD diagnosis, I’d love some feedback. Coz I really hope I’m not just rambling into the void here. This is relatable, yeah? Other people feel this in their very soul like I do, yeah? This is a PROBLEM, yeah??? Sure is for me, fam.

Anyway, I don’t exactly know how this works, so I’ll just answer all the questions my tagger did and maybe a couple more at the end. (wow this is exciting :D)

Okay then.

Name: I’m Konrad, and my gamertag/username is Fluffybombs on most sites.

Height: I’m 6′ 2″ (yeh I’m tall :L)

Hogwarts House: Slytherin. But I’m the Slytherin that always hangs out with the Griffindor kids and doesn’t care about the Dark Side of the Force or whatever. (sorry to all the geeks that just cringed at the cross-fandom reference there, but I stand by the metaphor)

Go-to SSBB character: I played a Kirby main in Brawl, so I’ll always feel comfortable with him, although I probably use Toon Link more often in competitive matches, but since Smash 4 came out, Pikachu is my main, so I’d feel okay playing Brawl with Pikachu too.

Fictional character I’d date: I don’t know, honestly. Dating is weird. I feel like there a lot of characters I’d get along with from all kinds of fandoms, but I’m not sure if there’s any I’d want to date. When I figure out how dating works I might have an idea. :L

Favorite band or artist: I like all kinds of music, and as an artist and budding music producer myself, I have a lot of respect for a lot of different artists, but a few honorable mentions (I suppose) would have to go to Owl City (with his amazing and inspiring music), Tally Hall (the only actual band I listen to), Daft Punk (just because), and Pentatonix (for being amazing singers that inspire me to push my range every day :D)

When did I make this blog: Close to four years ago I guess? Pretty soon after I got my laptop, my sister told me I should set up a Tumblr, so I guess that was around 3.5-ish years ago.

How many blogs do I follow: 896 (Is that a lot? I feel like that’s a lot. :/ ) And that’s with 15,097 likes, as of first making this post, so I don’t know if that a normal ratio or whatever, but there you go.

Do I get asks on a regular basis: Nope! I never get anything! I’ve only ever even been mentioned twice, which is why I was so excited to get this! :D Thanks again! (My followers are good to me, though. :L When I’m regularly posting I get about 15-20 notes a week, so thanks again, guys!)

Aesthetic: Bright artsy stuff, weapons, dragons (woo dragons!), anything with that “valor” type glory, nerdy tech stuff, cute stuff, unironic glitter, really ironic glitter, super dark and legitimately edgy stuff... but with one really lighthearted thing thrown in, super bizarre and random junk, and all of these things together, especially the cute-but-also-hardcore feel, also, tiny birbs peeking out from places. (idk, it’s a thing)

BONUS QUESTIONS So, I’m just gonna add these because I’m legitimately curious and I’m not sure how, officially, this is supposed to work. Answer these if you want, but I guess since all the questions are optional... idk, just... here they are. Favorite emoticon/emoji: I don’t really use emoji that often, and when I can I use emoticons instead, so my favorite emoticon is :L because no one else really uses it, and it pretty much exactly expresses my feelings about everything in existence always. (on another note, it’s weird that text emoji are called emoticons when they actually have the word “icon“ in the name, which implies a picture... but I guess emoji is Japanese... or...? idk I’m not gonna try to understand it, but if someone feels like telling me, feel free) Favorite food: Well, this is kind of a trick question from me, because I don’t really have a favorite food, but I would like to know what your favorite foods are, and I’d also like to say that even though there are lots of foods I like, food is the best when it actually feels healthy to eat. I’m not sure if that makes sense to anyone else, but that’s what I like. Social Label - Are you a geek? Nerd? Jock? What?: Not that this is important, but again, I’m curious. I’m mostly a geek, but I’m enough of a nerd that I’m a nerd to my geek friends and welcome amongst the nerds. I don’t know how strongly established amongst the Internet and Tumblr these labels are, so I don’t expect thems to be definitive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Pet peeve: I’m kinda surprised this isn’t on here, so I thought I’d add it. So mostly my peeves are related to using poor grammar, or when companies spell something wrong on purpose (Krazy Glue, etc), but the paramount of all of those is when people call LEGO bricks legos (idk why but I can’t let it go). It’s also irritating when people who claim to be serious fans can’t pronounce Pokémon (poh-kay-mon, btw) and other stuff like that, but I feel like maybe that’s different.  Allergies: (I have lots so I want to hear about yours. :D) I’m going to list all my dietary modifications, but technically not all of them are due to my allergies. So, I’m allergic to most preservatives, and hydrogenated oils, and basically everything artificial or synthetic, as well as peanuts (but only a little), and raspberry products (pretty much anything made of or with raspberries, but not raspberries themselves). I also don’t drink milk, because my sister is lactose intolerant (even though she’s the only one in the house who drinks milk now), and I have a hypersensitivity to mold/maybe other things, so I have an allergic reaction sometimes when I eat melon that isn’t super fresh. Also, I don’t eat beef or pork, which is just a diet I grew up on because that is how my mother chooses to eat. There’s no term for it, that I’m aware of, other than pseudovegetarian or something, and my friends frequently think I’m vegetarian even though I’m not. Also, I’m hypoglycemic, but I won’t get into that.

Why did I join Tumblr: Like I said before, my sister encouraged me to start my account, but I had already planned to, it was just a matter of waiting for the appropriate time. I joined Tumblr partly as a consumer, looking for art blogs to inspire me, and people to meet and befriend, but mostly I came here to start my art blog and get my art out there.
