Also! Check out Sigmu’s other eah fanfics as well, they’re just as good! I recommend reading them on fanfiction.net because they have more on there, but most people use Ao3 (including me) and a few of them are cross posted there with some changes.

Okay so this is so old, I don’t know how many people are even in the Ever After High fandom anymore, and those who still are they might not ship Rapple (Raven x Apple) which is unlikely, since a lot of the fandom at least likes Rapple or are aware as to why it’s so polular.

But my favorite fanfiction for them is called True Love Loophole, and I don’t know how to explain how happy it makes me. It’s also a full novel story so like, be prepared if you get into it, I couldn’t stop reading it. And it develops it’s own entire story line and like, it has an amazing ending, and even though this story has its angst, it also makes me extremely happy.

If you want real plot and yes the author did take their own liberties, they explain them clearly and everything is understandable, and more characters are explored into and other relationships are formed it’s just.... so so good. GOD. OKAY—

I’ve legitimately been thinking myself into a downward spiral for the last 3 hours straight about how not enough people give Hatoful Boyfriend a fighting chance long enough to ever get through the full game.

It shouldn’t bother me so much, but it REALLY bugs me whenever I see a Big YouTuber™️ pick up the game on their channel for shits and giggles (because “haha silly bird dating game”) and then only do one or two of the routes before dropping it and never touching it again with the assumption that the entire game is just one big meme when there’s SO MUCH MORE to see. But it’s so hard to convince people to actually stick with it and play through the whole thing without spoiling everything about it and all its twists and turns.

Like it’s seriously one of the best games I’ve EVER played with amazing storytelling, character development, horror, humor, and literally everything in-between but nO ONE EVER KNOWS BECAUSE THEY DON’T EVER MAKE IT PAST THE PUDDING GOD JOKE ROUTE.

If you’re one of the millions of people pissed off that your choices are Trump or Biden with no real competitive third-party options, I’m sorry, but it’s too late for this election. There won’t be an energetic and unproblematic 40-year-old progressive with massive grassroots support and a deep campaigning budget magically appearing in the next four months.

Trump’s base is as energetic as ever, and conservatives are good at falling in line. Even a narrow Democrat majority won’t stop him. The electoral college is weighted in the Republican’s favor.

It is not enough for Trump to lose. Trump must lose CONVINCINGLY. Otherwise we’ll have to deal with a repeat of January 6 at best, or dictator-for-life Trump at worst.

Unless the reason you’re mad at Biden is because he raised your taxes, Trump is worse on every issue. You hate Biden continuing military aid and support for the Israeli government? Trump moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He will offer Israel MORE military aid and offer full-throated support for the genocide.

But it’s not too late for the next election. Get involved in your local politics. See what positions you might be qualified for and run for local office. For legal reasons, I definitely do not recommend engaging in civil disobedience or any illegal direct action. I do recommend educating yourself on the FairVote movement and getting involved in whatever election reform campaign you can access.

The point is, figure out a way to DO something instead of trying to stop other people from doing the most effective thing most of them know how to do.

I answer with my own set of questions. How can I live in a body that doesn’t work? In a house divided? In a mind that constantly races? How can I go out and try to make a living when I know off the back of my labor my money goes to funding genocide? Hi everyone! Used to work at Ulta and can tell you myself this is genuinely such a huge problem. DAILY I would have little girls as young as 6-7 asking for retinol, hyaluronic acid, lip plumpers, lash growing serum, you name it. And pretty much everytime I got crucified, either by the girl or the parents, bc I had to do exactly what OP did and tell them they are too young to be using all this stuff and that it could rly mess them up.

But the worst is when I saw the parents openly encouraging it. The mom who hears her 10 year old daughter say “I really need concealer/serum/etc to fix this” and agrees for whatever reason “yes you do.” Some are just plain ignorant like OP described but unfortunately a lot are aware (at least somewhat) and just do not care bc their precious baby wants it and they are too scared to say no, or they actually believe the kid really needs all that shit and are misogynistic themselves.

It’s patriarchy at its finest getting disseminated thru social media and then shitty parents perpetuating it even further. Just like how everyone was making memes a few years ago about how they looked at 13 vs how the IG child models look at 13. It’s the exact same thing now except the IG child models in the situation are now even younger. social media instills the beauty standard earlier and earlier and sexualize pre pubescent girls into pedophilic fantasy and so now we’re at the point of 8 year old girls trying to do intense skincare regimens and full face makeup (both things I was asked about pretty much daily by little girls). All bc they watch shit like tiktok and IG unrestrained and get told that this is how you be a girl and this is how you be pretty and pretty means you have worth especially on social media. And at that point I rly can’t blame anyone but the parents who not only let them watch that shit but then feed into it by turning around and buying them drunk elephant, Sunday Riley, you name it.

Telling your 8 year old daughter she cannot use skincare meant for people 40+ is not going to hurt her. It does not make you a mean parent nor does it make you misogynistic to tell her she’s too young for that. Yes all people should have the independence to do what they want with their bodies but a child literally does not know better and it is your job to help them make healthy choices and habits and not just let them do whatever bc “it makes them happy.” Be an involved parent and know what your kid is getting into before you let them dive into it headfirst. Bc if not you will have a daughter with horrific self image issues who spends hundreds on skincare instead of toys or books or literally anything a healthy child would want, buying more and more products to try and fix what the last product did to her skin bc her skin was not meant to be taking all these chemicals and acids at such a young age. It’s a vicious cycle and all you have to do to stop it is be an active parent and not let your kid fall down these horrible rabbit holes. You can let your child have freedom and independence without allowing them to pursue things that are blatantly harmful to both their bodies and their minds.

Because I was picking up more moisturiser, and this clearly really young girl and her mother came in to shop skin products, and her mother picked up a combined kit and was like “This is the one you want? Okay I guess” and I took a peak and gently butted in and told her mother I thought that was a really bad idea because she looked super young and those products had a bunch of actives

This little girl was glaring at me like I kicked her puppy while I chatted to her mother, who seemed really embarrassed she didn’t know that, asked some questions, and told me her daughter was 6, obsessed with skincare, said all the other girls at school had similar products, and always watched YouTube videos + Tiktoks about these things.

I told her pretty bluntly it’s a bad idea for young people to use most of these actives/products, gave her some keywords to search online so she’d have a better idea about what to look up and learn more, and suggested maybe they could work on instead building a routine with washing faces with water, a little dab of a very neutral moisturiser and some sunscreen every day (let’s be clear - this little girl does not need a skincare routine, but it’s a compromise without completely shitting on her and helps routine building in life anyway)

I told this kid she was really pretty and she didn’t need anything, and I’m sorry I ruined her fun but I didn’t want her to burn her face with something like retinol or salicylic acid. She was not impressed.

Please chat with the young people in your life about these things, get some rudimentary knowledge if they’re asking for products like this, and please be careful!

ok so i watched the new superman show. thought it was just okay romance wise, nothing very exceptional. the animation was weak in a few areas, i think they should have just gone all out and animated it like an anime, like in the myx episode. loved that battle sequence too!! the rest of the animations with the fight scenes were kind of clunky imo.

character wise i think they’re all pretty predictable and fall into the same boring stereotypes. tenacious and ambitious/spunky ‘tomboy,’ goofy comedic relief third wheel black friend, OP main character who’s main trait is being both responsible for all conflict and saving people from said conflict…yeah. it’s literally danny phantom but instead of being ‘sassy’ clark kent just has anxiety.

HOWEVER…taking into account the episode with the loving and kind gay gorilla and his robot-body-but-human-brain-scientist-husband, clark kent being quite possibly the most peggable fictional character to exist, casually depicting lesbian moms, and most importantly being very obviously and overtly anti US government means i objectively have to give it a 10/10 and say it’s the best tv show i’ve ever seen in my life.

also…it’s definitely a kids show (like probably ages 10+) and i can only assume it’s on adult swim because the people at cartoon network are fucking cowards. let cool stuff back on prime time air and stop shoving it all to after hours!!! sometimes midnight is too damn late!

If all of my options in the coming election r to throw my vote away, I will do it at a statement and hope that enough people did too that something might actually happen. Jill Stein, everyone. Don't vote for Biden or Trump, but vote.

Yeah, that worked out great in Bush vs Gore. We had a candidate taking climate change seriously in the 90s up against Texas oil royalty, and just enough people decided that wasn’t good enough and voted for the Green Party. We could be twenty years farther ahead on environmental protections instead of having giant pickup trucks and SUVs thanks to relaxed CAFE standards. Without the diversion to Nader, there’s a solid chance the Iraq war never happens. Maybe, just maybe, we could have even avoided the massive surveillance apparatus that has us all prisoners in a panopticon.

Vote effectively now, then get involved in the election reform movement before 2028. There are campaigns for the adoption of ranked choice voting and elimination of the electoral college in every state. Maine and Alaska have already instituted ranked choice voting. One of the plains states, I can’t remember which, has proportionally allocated electors instead of winner-take-all. Find the people in your state trying to fix the problem and help them.
