It’s so hard to not just keep talking and talking and talking trying to defend myself from something that I KNOW isn’t even there
I don’t know why I have to care so much about how people see me
And it’s not that I don’t want to be seen in a bad light necessarily, I just don’t want to be viewed incorrectly.
I feel so bad I always make it everyone else’s problem when I KNOW it’s something that’s just happening in my head.
Yeah sure, rambling my whole info arc at a random person who said something without even knowing it has any connection to me might help me soothe myself cus then I’ll be an open book without space to interpret me wrong but wtf does that do to that person? Who wants to hear all that?? Jesus christ, why am I like this??

Lost In Japan (Jimin x You)
A/N: this idea just popped in my head while I am taking a bath, and I rushed through my skincare routine just so I can jot this down 😂 anyway, I am going to combined this request with another. This being part one and the other part two. but it can also be read as a oneshot. I had wanted to do a story based on this song ever since I heard it (Lost In Japan by Shawn Mendes) bcs it just reminds me of the feeling you get at night on your holidays when you are just strolling around after a long day of exploring the city and met someone exciting ❤ and I dont know from what country you are anon, and I am not from Japan either, its just based on this song so you can imagine elsewhere ❤ Sorry if this is not what you have in mind
MASTERLIST
A/N : And also, I’m trying a new thing here and you are in no way obligated to do it but if any of you like my stories and want to give some support, why not buy me a coffee? ☕💜
A/N: I cant just keep a good thing to myself, so for those who are looking for a variety and affordable BTS and KPOP merchandise. visit this link right here okay
"Ahhh finally!" Jimin dropped his carry on on the floor and lie down in the middle of the bed, spreading out as wide as he can after taking off his stuffy jacket and mask. Airport arrivals are fun. Fun seeing their fans coming out all the way just to catch a glimpse of them and to welcomed them to their country. But as much as it is fun, it is also damn tiring. Especially when they are mobbed by crazy fans. Jimin is thankful he and his brothers managed to get out from the commotion as fast as they could and arrived safely at the hotel. And he is more thankful that they have individual rooms now.
Dont get him wrong. Sharing a room with Taehyung or Jungkook or even one of his hyungs are fun. Theres someone he can talk to and do fun vlive clips with, but sometimes he needs some space without anyone breathing down his neck too. Times like this, where he juat want to rest his tired body.
Japan.
A country they are so familiar with already.
Two days of concert here and three days of free days for him and his brothers to roam about before they fly back to Korea for their other schedules.
Jimin cant wait to shop, sightsee and of course eat. He had learn long ago to treat every tour like a vacation in order to make the whole journey less tiring, more fun and less stressed. Just like what the others told him, it doesnt matter as long as they have fun performing, their fans will surely have fun with them too.
But Jimin can feel that something more exciting is going to happen this time.
He can just feel it.
/////
"Y/N, YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS!"
Y/N calmly look up from the table shes wiping. Shes so used to her bestfriend yapping around like crazy. She used to get excited at first, but now, she learns that its better fir her to actually hear the news first. Mika can get super excited about a rock for all she knows.
"What is it that I wont believe Mika?" Y/N laughs. Thank god the cafe she works in has less customer today.
"BTS is coming! For a two days concert!" Mika shrieked.
"Okay... and?" She give her friend a short glimpse and turn back to her task.
"And?! What do you mean and?!" Mika went around and shakes her shoulders.
"Mika, they come here fir a concert every year! Sometimes even twice a year. Its not really a huge news," Y/N rolls her eyes.
"Oh right, I forgot," she giggles.
"You forgot they have a tour here every year? Every year that you become crazy everytime its announced?" Y/N eyed her friend, tapping her foot.
"No. I forgot about the news that you will not believe. The great news is...." she paused for dramatic effect before jumping and yelling, almost breaking Y/N's eardrum. "I got us two VIP tickets and a special fansign invite for both days! Both! Aaaahhhhhh!"
"Oh, thats great Mika! No wonder you are excited!" Y/N's smile grew. Mika has been trying to get tickets every year but she never made it. Online or physically lining up, she never gets the chance to get one. Y/N wonders how hard she work to get the tickets this time.
"Well, arent you?" Mika looks at her weirdly. "I know you are an ARMY too. And arent you excited? You can actually meet them, and converse with them! What if they fall in love with one of us?!" Mika exclaimed, already excited at the thought.
"Well, I am an ARMY," Y/N laughs at her friends cuteness. "But I only like them as a talented idol Mika. I dont even know what to talk to them about. And falling in love?" She giggles. "That only happens in fan fictions my friend. They will most probably already forget about you once the next fan came in view," she shakes her head and continue to clean the table, making Mika pouts.
"Sometimes I hate how practical you are. Cant you just let me dream a little?" She crosses her arm across her chest. "But still, you are coming with me right? Riggght?"
"Well, if you are willing to take me, then of course Mika," Y/N grins. "Of course I'll go with you. Who knows, maybe one of them will really fall in love with me," she giggles at the ridiculous statement.
Or she thought so.
/////
"Lets go people. We can do this!" Namjoon calls out behind the curtains, a few minutes before they are meeting their lucky fans who won the fansign event. After some peptalk and group hugs they went out and start the event.
The crowd is packed and loud, as usual. Girls screaming out their names and waving, trying to get their attention. Each of them did they usual routine, smiling, asking basic questions, answering the questions given to them, making aegyo, handshakes, posing for photos, wearing cute headbands and all sorts of fan service. Jimin is enjoying his time meeting his fan. He loves the attention they gives him and he appreciate all the support they gave to him all these years.
"Next!" The security calls out so the line will move as the fans switched to the next members. Jimin reaches out for the album and booklet in front of him, still looking down at thr album, flipping to the post-it where he should place his signature. But the post-it came empty, its just there as a mark to where he should place his signature. Iy seems the fan has no questions for him, which is a first. Their fans always have multiple questions for them to answer
"No question?" He looks up and immediately stopped blinking. In front of him stood the most beautiful angel he has ever since. Well, shes an angel to him, at least as everyone else seems to be perfectly normal.
"N-no question to ask?" He stuttered and mentally slapping himself. Shit, what is wrong with me. You are Park Jimin, composed yourself!
"Oh," she laughs, the most beautiful sound Jimin has ever heard. "No. Just an autograph will do,"
"Uh.. o-okay," with shaky hands Jimin put down his signature. God, what is wrong with me. I have met so many girls before and I am never like this. Calm down Park Jimin, composed yourself before she thinks you are weird. Come on, say something!
Jimin look around at the laughing fans by around him, talking to to the other members, talking to Taehyung and Jungkook, who is on his right and left side and he realized how quiet and awkward he is with this fan.
"O-oh right. I am Jimin. Whats your name?" Introducing yourself at your own fansign? Are you stupid Park Jimin?
She giggles.
And Jimin's heart skipped a beat. How unusual.
"I know you are Jimin. How can I come here and not know you," she leans forward to a whispering gesture, making Jimin's heart thumped faster at her close proximity. "ARMYs will kill me if I dont," she giggles more and leans back to her normal position in front of him. "And my name is Y/N,"
Jimin smile. How bold. How interesting. And what a name. Beautiful. Just like her.
"And Y/N.. how come you have no questions to ask? Arent ARMYs always curious?" He taps her post it to show the blank paper and Y/N shakes her head.
"No. Not really," she smiles. "Nothing that I want to know,"
"Just nothing for me or for everyone?" Jimin feels the need to ask. He felt like he needs to know if Y/N is just not interested in him or she really doesnt have a question for everyone.
"Well, its not just you. I dont have a question for everyone," Y/N's smile got bigger. Jimin raised an eyebrow curiously.
"Oh? And why is that?"
"Well, because everything you are allowed to tell me, it will be published in the news, or articles or something anyway. And if I asked you a real question, you wont be allowed to answer truthfully anyway. Isnt that right?" she laughs. "So no. No questions,"
Jimin was stunt. Never has anyone ever throw that cold hard truth to his face. Its true. Whatever they are showing and potraying in public, the character that they show, all of it is something that they want their fans to see. There are still parts of them that their fans doesnt know. A part of them, rhat is the real them that they didnt show the world. Mouth agape, Jimin looks at Y/N's face, not knowing what else to say.
His gut js right. Jimin is right, fron the moment he looks up to her face, he knew theres definitely something special about her.
"Well, whats your real question?" Jimin finally find his voice and the bravery he needed.
"When you are allowed to answer it, then I'll ask about it," she giggles, just in time for the security to shout next, and Y/N waves a hand and move aside before Jimin could say anything else. Y/N move to Taehyung, leaving Jimin speechless, and fascinated.
Y/N... hmmm.. his feelings is right then. Japan is going to be interesting this time around.
/////
Jimin knew he is going to see Y/N again at the concert. Everyone who attends the fanmeet has a VIP ticket, which is a particularly small section that is made special for them right in front of the stage. He is sure if he look hard enough, he will see her. Shes too beautiful, and too special to him now for Jimin not to notice.
And sure enough, the moment their went on stage, Jimin saw her face, smiling brightly with her Army bomb in hand, giggling with her friend. A surge or energy runs through him. Jimin suddenly feels like he needs to do the very best tonight, no, extra best tonight. He needs to show her that he is Jimin, and he is up here, looking at her and apprently, only at her.
Jimin never kept her eyes off her, which is a little hard to do considering he needs to sing and dance and converse with his fans, well, other fans too. And its a stranger feeling for him, when a pang of jealousy hits him hard when he saw Y/N waving and taking photos of Taehyung, jumping and singing along to the other members' part.
What the hell is wrong with me? Shes a fan! She didnt pay for the tickets only to see you alone Jimin.
Without realizing, Jimin suddenly feek the need to futher make his existabce known. Known to Y/N. And keeping his eyes only on her, he starts to show off his dancing skills, making extra sexy moves and flirty gestures, which of course, make the packed stadium roared with cheers but reveiving weird looks from the other members.
It doesnt matter.
The crowd. The music. The members.
What matters is that if this will make Y/N looks at him, it was all worth it.
At least he hope she understand the sign hes trying to tell her.
/////
"Woah, what is wrong with Chim today?" Mika stares at the satge, mouth dropped opened. "I mean, I know he is sexy and all, but thats like being possesed with a sexy spirit or something," she points to Jimin who was grinding on the stage floor. "I dont remember the cheography being like that,"
Y/N shrugs.
"Maybe its a concert only special performance," Y/N justified.
"How are you so calm? He is even looking at you while doing all that. Oh my god, he really is!" Mika jumped, waving her Army bomb with excitement.
"Not at me Mika. My direction. Our direction. He cant even see the crowd with all those blinding lights. And look around you, theres thousand of people here," she laughs. "You think he wouls pick me out from the crowd?"
"Hey, you never know. You personally met him at the fansign. Maybe he remembers you," Mika giggles at how practical her friend. Girl, dream a little!
"Hello," Y/N rolls her eyes. "Everybody here went to the fansign Mika. This is the VIP section!"
"Oh my god. I forgot! Maybe you are right. But hey, its not wrong to imagine!" Mika laughs, Y/N joining her.
"Stop imagining useless things and just enjoy the rest of the concert!" Y/N yells through the noise, laughing. "Besides, its Park Jimin, being sexy and flirty on stage is his thing. I dont think thats anything extra anyway,"
"Okay, okay, you are right. Lets just enjoy this!" Mika grab her shoulders and starts bouncing, waving her Army bomb around. Y/N joins in, singinf along and recording videons of her and Mika, totally not realizing how hard Jimin is trying to wink her way.
/////
"I did everything I can, and she still dont even acknowledge me!" Jimin huffed.
"Are you serious? Shes a fan and you still cant get her to even look at you? Wow Chim, you really have no jams," Namjoon laughs.
"Hyung, its not funny! What do I do?" Jimin grumbled.
"Okay, okay. Lets think. The whole two days. She didnt look at you? At all?" Namjoon inquired, trying to help the younger man.
"Well, she does look at me..," Jimin ponders.
"Okay. Then whats the problem? You did talk to her at the fansign yesterday right? And today? Did you guys hit it off? Did you two share any interest? Maybe you are just not her type. What did you two talked about? Tell me everything from A to Z," Namjoon pulls a chair and sits in front of him, giving Jimin his full attention.
"T-talk?"
"Yeah. Talk. Like what we are doing right now. Hi I'm Jimin, I like you, can I have your number so I can take you out sometime, that kind of thing," Namjoon eyed him carefully.
"W-well... I didnt really talk to her hyung.." Jimin trailed off.
"What do you mean? You get her name. What else did you ask her? You met her twice at a fan sign Chim," Namjoon eyed him curiously.
"Well, at the first meef, I asked her for her name, so I can sign her album. And she explained to me why she dont asks any questiona, and then I blanked out and before I know it, it was already Taehyung's turn," Jimin pouted. "The time is too short for each person!"
"Well, you never complain before!" Namjoon roll her eyes. "Them what about today?"
"T-today?" Jimin stutter nervously as the memory of today's fansign entered his mind.
He was in no mood at all today After the concert on the first day, Jimin was frustrated. Y/N didnt notice him. After the concert she went back like everyone else. She went out so fast he didnt even get the chance to ask security or his managers to call her out. Jimin knew that he wont evenr see her again. Having that in his mind ruin his whole mood.
He went by fan by fan, signing their album and giving small smiles when required. When asked, he only says hes a bit tired and his fans will express their worry and tell him to get some rest. Never would have thought that he would hear the voice again as a a flatten box of their offical light stick and the photocarda were slide in front of him.
"You already sign all my albums and posters yesterday, so this is all I have left for you to sign," Jimin look up to the smiling face of Y/N and he thought hes dreaming.
"Y/N?"
"Yeah," she smile. "Wow, you remembered me!"
"O-of course I do!" Jimin tries to calm himself. "I didnt think you would come again, and both fansigns? Wow,"
"Well," she giggles. "I guess I am your biggest fan. All of you were great last night,"
"Yeah? But you went off so fast!" Jimin pouts and cursed himself for saying that when Y/N gives him a weird look. Now he sounds like a stalker.
"So fast? How did you know?" Y/N asked him curiously. Did Jimin really saw her in the crowd?
"Uh well.. call it intituition," he laughs awkwardly and Y/N just nodded.
"Well..." Y/N looks around, feeling awkward as she waits for the fan in front of Taehyung to move and lets a breath if relief when she does. "Okay, I'll go now,"
"Wait!" Jimin panics. This might be his last chance to have any sort if way to contact her. "Do-you-think-you-can-give-me-"
"And oh, good luck for tonight," Y/N suddenly say at the same time as his word jumble and patted his hand. The moment her hand touched his, eventhough its just a pat and for a second, Jimin blanked out, all his senses gone, heart pumping so rapidly it almost burst out. Bedore he can calm himself down and find words again, the security already shouted next and Y/N quicy waved and move on to Taehyung.
"Both times? Seriously? You blanked out both times??" Namjoon is shrieking out now. "God, you are hopeless!"
"Y-yeah..." Jimin look at his hyung, scared. "Its not my fault she touched my hand hyung!" Jimin try to defend himself.
"Touch Chim. Not even hold. And you have done this with countless fans! Girl fans!" Namjoon is at the brink of giving up.
"But hyunggg," Jimin wailed. "Thise firls are not Y/N! She's so pretty and smart, and not startruck and everything she said to Tae and Kookie are funny and smart then I'm the one who kinda got starstruck..."
"Oh my god, you are a bigger idiot than I thought," Namjoon hissed and slap Jimin's forehead, making him rubbed it "Okay, fine. But if you barely even talked to her, why are you saying she didnt acknowledge you? I mean... even if she does, which I think she should with your stupidity, she didnt even have a chance to say it, right?"
"But hyungggg, even if I didnt directly say it, its obvious I am flirting with her. And only her!" Jimin answered as if his effort is the most obvious thing in the world.
"Flirt? How?" Namjoon asked, curious on what Jimin meant by flirting if they never even have a proper conversation.
"Didnt you see my extra sexy moves on stage? My winks, my flying kisses, my hip thrusts, how many times I run my hand through my hair, and seductively too if I might add, during these two concert?" Jimin smile proudly.
"Wait, are you saying your little cabaret show this past two nights is you flirting with her?" Namjoon rubs his chin.
"Duhh, of course hyung. What else? I am not a man slut like Kookie who do it for fun hyung,"
"Idiot!" Namjoon slap his head hard this time. "That is what you call flirting? We thought you were possesed by some strip club ghost or something!"
"Ow hyungg, what the hell??" Jimin rubbed his forehead.
"How the fuck is Y/N supposed to know you are flirting with her when you do that in front of a packed stadium you dimwit? A stadium full of screaming girls too! And you always do those shit, yeah, its a little extra this time, but she will just think you are doing your typical flirting with the crowd thing," Namjoon hissed
"W-what?" Jimin panics. "Do you really think she thinks like that? That I am justsome big flirt to my fans?"
"Duhhh," Namjoon roll his eyes.
"But its all for her!" Jimin wailed.
"She didnt know that dumbass. You should have shown your interest during the fanmeet. Both freaking times!" Namjoon sighed and stands up.
"Wait, where are you going hyung? We are not done yet!" Jimin stands up and follow his hyung like a puppy.
"I am not entertaining this dumb shit. Im going,"
"But what am I going to do?!" Jimin wailed for help.
"Nothing. The concert is over Chim. Just pray that you will see her again," Namjoon shrugs before he leaves the room. "You have three days before we fly back home. Make it count,"
/////
Their free day was filled with sight seeing, shopping and eating. Jimin had fun, yes, but he cant help but feeling down whenever he thought about his lost chance of getting to know Y/N more. He has never been this interested in a woman before, nor has he even felt this kind of amazing chemistry towards a girl. Y/N is special, Jimin know she is. And although he doesnt know for sure if she really is the one for him, but he is sure that he atleast wants to get to know her better. And he wants to see where they will go from there.
"Cheer up hyung! Its only a girl. You will forget her soon. I am sure of it," Jungkook smile and roughly hug his shoulder, dragging him into the anime store. "Atleast your amazing favorite maknae is still here with you,"
"Yeah. Annoying maknae," he laughs. "I am in no mood to look at animes abd robots Kook, and also in no mood to hear you and Tae arguing about whos the better hero or whatever," he looks around the street. "I am going to head there, the coffee shop. Meet me there okay?"
Jungkook shrugs and pulls Taehyung to the store instead as Jimin make his way to the coffeeshop. Securing his mask and cap, he enters and nothing surprised him more than seeing the perfect girl smiling at a customer behind the cashier counter.
Y/N.
/////
"Okay.. if thats Y/N.. why are the three of us hiding behind this huge flower pot like some criminal?" Jungkook asks Jimin in confusion. His hyung rans in panics and drags both him and Taehyung to the coffee shop. And with panting breath, he nervously points towards a girl and only one word comes out from his mouth. "Y/N" and they have been hiding behind a huge flower pot in the coffee shop since then.
"Well, because I dont want her to see us. See me. What do I say?" Jimin wioes his sweaty forehead.
"Thats it? Thats the reason you ran all the way, drag me and Tae-hyung here, and hides behind this pot for 40 minutes now?!" Jungkook looks at his hyung, not believing his reason. "Thats it, I'm going in and introducing us and getting you her number!"
"Wait. What?? No!" Jimin drags Jungkook back behind the pot.
"Why? Isbt that what you want hyung? Her number? You have been moping since last night!"
"Y-yeah.. but how can I just ask her. Thats Y/N. Y/N! What if she say no? O-or she laughs at me? Or thinks I'm weird?" Jimin is freaking out and even he hinself doesnt know why he is like this.
"Well, we dont know if we dont try Chim. Let me and Kookie go and ask for you," Taehyung speaks up and stands up, revealing himself. Jimin panics and pulls him back behind the pot.
"What the hell! No! Sit Tae. Let me just think of something okay? I need to impress her somehow. So she would never ever say no," Jimin rubs her chin and the three sits behind the pot for a while longer, all in silence before Jimin suddenly shouted. "Okay, I got it! She will say yes to be my girlfriend after this! I am sure of it!"
/////
"From Park Jimin? The Korean idol Park Jimin?" Y/N eyed the flower delivery man curiously as he smile and nods. "Is this a prank? Tell me, who put you up to this? Its a girl right?"
"Uh no.. its really Park Jimin. He came to the shop. With Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. I know its them because I am a fan and also," he taps the note on the flower, "Park Jimin put his name there,"
"So right now... you are saying.. that the world famous idol, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung, just walk into your store, in broad daylight, and ordered flowers.. for me?" She points to herself.
"Uh.. yeah. Thats about right," the deliveryman nods again and smile. Y/N lets out a loud sarcastic laugh.
"Okay, good one. I am pretty sure this is a prank now," she received the flowers and sniff it. "Atleast I get flowers, prank or not. Thanks,"
The delivery guy shrugs and leaves, but not before looking at Y/N as if shes crazy.
"It must be Mika. Shes the only one who thinks Jimin is looking at me at the concert," Y/N shrugs and continue her work, the flowers forgotten.
Or so she thought.
Throughout the day, many more weird deliveries were made. More flowers, big, expensive ones too, cupcakes, balloons, choclates, chocolates bouquets, and even a puppy, which Y/N immediately asked to be sent back. At this rate she knows it couldnt be Mika. Is it really Jimin?
But why?
How does he knows where she works?
Even if he did finds out, did he really remember her?
And even if he did remember, why is he sending her all this stuff?
Y/N was confused for the whole day, and shes also embarassed when the customers and even her supervisor keeps complimenting how sweet her boyfriend is. Truth is, shes nor even sure if its really Jimin whos sending her all this stuff.
The gifts continue for the next three days, and Y/N just accept and places it all at the store room, even fivinf out the food to her colleagues and loyal customers. After a long hard shift, its finally time to close up. And deciding to leave everything she receives today at the shop, she cleans up and cloaed up the shop. While locking the door suddenly someone tapped her back.
"A delivery for Miss Y/N..."
"Seriously?!" With a frustrated and tired sighed she turns around. "Its almost 12 am at- J-Jimin?"
Y/N couldnt ever imagine thats its really Park Jimin standing in front of her, holding a huge bouquet of flowers. His face is covered with a mask, yes, but theres no doubt that its him.
"Well.. yeah. Are you expecting someone else?" Jimin cocks his head. Even he is nor sure where he gets his sudden confidence.
"Well... no. But I didnt expect it to be you either. Is it safe for you to roam around Japan like this? Are you lost?" Y/N furrowed her brows. How can he be lost? Where is manager?
"No. I am not lost. Unless you count loss of words everytime I see you," he smile.
"Huh?"
"Uh.. no, no, nothing. Uh.. you dont sound excited to be receiving all the gifts I sent you?" Jimin suddenly remembered hows frustrated she sound earlier when she thought he ia the delivery man.
"Well, to be honest. Not really. I mean.. I am not even sure it its really from you. And even though it is, I am still curious as to why? I mean... you dont really know me... and we are not really friends. Right?" Y/N looks at him.
Jimin is speechless. Doesnt girls like that kind of stuff? Especially from someone like him? But as he look at Y/N who is standing in front of him, face full of confusion, he realizes, Y/N is not like normal girls. thats why he felt attracted to her. Look at her right now, standing in front of him bur isnt starstruck at all.
"Uh.. to be honest, I kinda feel a chemistry between us when we first met at the first fansign..." Jimin takes a deep breath. Courage dont leave me now. "And.. I uh.. would like to talk more with you. To get to know you,"
"Okay..m so you decide to stalk me?" Y/n take a step back, a little scared. Jimin raised his hands up defensively.
"No, no! Its not like that. I didnt stalk you to find out where you work. I accidentally found out where you work 3 days ago, so I thought I could send you gifts, as a way to break the ice-"
"Wait, so you had known where I work for three days, and instead of coming in and say hi, like a normal person, you decide to flaunt your money and buy me stuff?" Y/N is trying to understabd what is the man trying to do.
"Well.. uh.. it sounds bad when you put it like that...but-but I thought you knew about my interest in you!" Jimin tries to safe whatever dignity he has left as Y/N eyes him carefully. "I have been flirting with you for the two whole concert days!"
"Flirting? When??" Y/n questioned him. "You barely even talk to me during the fansign Jimin-ssi," Y/N reminds him.
"D-dont you see me malong eye contact with you on stage? All those dance moves? Those extra stuff I did?"
"Huh?" Y/N looks straight at him. "Are you telling me that is you flirting?" Y/N didnt know if she should laugh or be pissed right now. "Thats the way to show me that you want to talk to me?"
"Y-yes,"
"Jimin... If you want to talk to me you can just ask. To be honest, I find you interesting to talk to too," Y/N smile.
"Really?!"
"Yeah... but after this weird gift giving thing... I am not sure..."
"What? No! I am not weird! Uh actually," Jimin panics. Is Y/N really going to just shut him away now? He has to do something. The thing that he planned to do when he came here. "Actually, I'm flying back to Korea tomorrow but before I leave... I just uh... wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend," he quickly pulls out a box with a white gold diamond bracelet inside. "And give you this,"
Y/N was silenced for a moment and Jimin hope that thats a good sign. He knows its rash, but hes leaving to Korea tomorrow and he needs a way to stay in touch with her. To just... make her his.
"Are you seriously kidding me right now?" Was Y/N's answer after the silenced.
"N-no?"
Y/N scoff.
"You never even introduce yourself properly to me. Or get to know me. Or even talk to me for the matter! How do you know you even really like me? If its only a blind atttaction, only because you like how I look, then I dont want any of it! Yes, I am your fan and I kmow mostly everything about you, but I dont want to know you as BTS' Park Jimin, I want to know you as Park Jimin... do you get it? And giving me ridiculous expensive gifts for three days is flirting and a way to talk to me?? And please know that hip thrusting and swiping your hair back on stage doesnt count either. What are you trying to do? Do you think I am that kind of girl Jimin?" Y/N look softly at him.
"I want a guy to ask me out, to ask me if I have plans and take his time to know me. I dont need your money or your fame Jimin. If you really like me, you would know thats the kind of girl I am. I am leaving, I am sorry, I have to declined. Have a safe flight back to Korea," Y/N bows and walks away, leaving Jimin alone.
Jimin was silenced by her unexpected outburst. He really didnt think ahe would say all this, nor did he think about how stupid his plans are. Taehyung and Jungkook has warned him, even suggested to just greet her and ask for her number, but noooo, he has to feel like he needs to impress her with expensive gifts. Now look what happen.Everything she says just make Jimin realized that she is excatly what he wants, who he needs in a woman. In a life partner. He wants to get to know her, all of her, but it seems like hes too late now.
/////
"Hyung? You okay?" Jungkook sat beside him on the bed. Its been a few days after the tour, and Jimin has been sad and locking himself in his rooms ever since.
"Yeah.. I guess?" Jimin answered lifelessly.
"You dont look okay Chim. You look... lost?" Taehyung sat at the other side of him.
"I am lost Tae. I have never been this lost in my entire life. I think I lost myself in Japan, I acted the way I would never have, and because of it, I lost my love,"
"Well.. if you lost something in Japan... I guess you have to go and get it back. Simple Chim," Taehyung grins and pat his back, hoping his best friend will understand what he meant.

What happened last week is still a blur to Y/N. Did Park Jimin really sent her gifts for three days straight? The Park Jimin? Worldwide idol Park Jimin? And did he really showed up to her coffee shop and tell her he lijes ber, and wanted her to be his girlfriend? And did she rejected him, just like that?
Everything is like a dream to her. She is not even sure if it really happened it shes just imagining it all. But the wilted flowers and uneaten chocolate bars proves that all of it is too real.
She cant lie to herself. Her heart did do a little flip at the sight of Jimin that night. Yes, shes practical, but theres still a part of her that wants a fairy tale ending for herself too. She almost say yes, her heart is beating out from her chest. She cant believe its happening, Park Jimin likes her... but then her practical side takes over. Reminding her that they barely knew each other, what if Jimin ends up not liking her? And what she told Jimin is true, she wants someone who will ask her out, who will take his time to learn about her, just as mich as she will learn about him.
Maybe Jimin is only a drean afterall.
As she walks along the sakura covered park, Y/N sighed. Shes at her happy place. Her beautiful home, but she has never felt so lost.
/////
"Thank god I found you here," the voice behind her pants. Y/N immediately turns around only to see Park Jimin panting, holding his knees. Is she hallucinating in broad daylight now?
"Jimin? Is that really you?" She looks at the figure closely. Jimin looks up after catching his breath
"H-hi. I'm Park Jimin, and I came all the way from Korea just to find you, and someone told me that you are at a sakira park, but theres a lot of sakura park during during spring in Japan and I went to like 30 of them and then I got lost all over Japan, but I dont care, because I can handle being lost in Japan, but I cant handle losing myself again and worse, losing a chance to know you," he smile at her stunt reaction. "Y/N.. I got lost all over Japan, just so I can ask you..," Jimin wiped his sweaty hands on his jeans as Y/N smile at his stuttering form.
"Yes, Park Jimin?" Y/N flashed him a wide smile, easing his mind and making all his doubts dissappear, a surge of confidence suddenly surfacing in him.
"Do you... do you perhaps have any plans tonight? Because I want to take you out. I want to spend the whole night getting to know you, all about you," He took a step forward and bravely hold her waist, grinning widely.
"And why would you want to do that when you just met me three times Park Jimin?" Y/N hide her smile any longer.
"Because I.. well, because honestly Y/N..." he tuxks a stray hair behind her ears and look straight into her eyes, "I cant get you out of my mind,"

Wherever the Winds Take You: Chapter 10
A/N: Hey guys! I can’t believe we’re already on chapter 10...I decided to do this little bit from the comics because it’s just too pure not to write. God bless the team just being teens, you know?
Anyway, just a side note, the next couple chapters are probably going to be a little bit late because of finals, summatives, work, etc. Oh the joys of being a student in June (hahahakillmehahaha). Anyways, I hope y’all enjoy! Sorry for the length.
Martín Dance Studios, Paris
July 21
03:12
To say that Lina was flustered would be putting it lightly. As she hurriedly attempted to pack up her music equipment and put her clothes on over her dance-wear, all at the same time she felt as if she wanted to slam her head into the dance studio linoleum flooring that she had just been practising on.
“You know you don’t have to rush, yes?” The robust voice beside Lina spoke, sounding more than a little amused.
“You closed four hours ago Quinn. Of course I have to rush!” Lina exclaimed, sparing a hand away from her equipment to shove a tangle of sweaty brown hair out of her face.
Rolling his eyes, Quinn Martín found himself moving closer to his friend and took the speaker chord she had been attempting to coil out of her hands. "If I had wanted you out, I would've have kicked you out Lina. Even if it meant daring to intrude on you practicing."
The girl dared to look up to Quinn, still looking angry at herself, before sighing in defeat as she took his non-verbal hint to let him help.
"Thank you." She muttered as she stood and focused on putting a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt over the shorts and sports bra she had been wearing.
“So,” Quinn spoke as he continued to pack up the last of the stuff, “other than practicing here three hours a day and taking advantage of our business free of charge, what has the Fabulous Lina Dubois been doing?”
“Oh you know.” Lina shrugged, even though Quinn couldn’t see it. “This and that. Family to care for, crops to harvest, errands to run.”
“Teams to form and genetic labs to implode.” She wanted to add, but she had promised herself long ago that she would keep her only civilian friend as Lina, separate from her life as Zephyr, even though a small part of her always wanted to disclose her many adventures to him.
“That’s all? You lazy girl.” Quinn shook his head. “Maybe that’s why you can stay up, dancing your feet off after three in the morning. You must be sleeping so much…”
Once again, she felt compelled to tell him the truth. She wanted to explain that no, that wasn’t the reason. The real reason she could do this was because she had spent the last few days in Happy Harbor, so what little of an internal clock she had after two years of constantly having to bounce around the world, was set to Eastern Standard Time, where it was only currently dusk.
But instead, she simply laughed quietly and muttered a silent “Oui, of course.”
“You know,” Quinn stood up just as Lina finished putting her hair in a loose ponytail, both finished with their respective tasks. “Mina Élysée is hosting an old silent movie marathon next weekend, if you’re not too busy with family, crops, and errands…..we should go.”
Lina raised an eyebrow, “Hasn’t Mina hated me since I first came to the school?”
Quinn looked a touch embarrassed. “Touché...she didn’t exactly know how to react to someone with autism…”
Lina gave a half-hearted shrug. “You can always go without me. I bet Chloe would love to go with you…”
Quinn let out a deep, sarcastic laugh. “No thank you. Chloe may be sweet, but I don’t want to spend the whole night hearing how ‘whatever artist’ is better than ‘whoever’, and then have to try and find a good enough reason to fend her off at the end of the night.”
“Awww, wee lamb.” Lina mocked in English. “How cruel the world is that such a sweet girl is interested in you.”
Quinn rolled his eyes, then shoved Lina’s radio and devices into her as he gave his cookie-cutter excuse. “She’s not my type.”
Lina gave a small snort as she shouldered her equipment. Then, she was distracted by her phone buzzing in her pocket. As she pulled up the small glass device, she saw that she had a message from her newest contact.
HEy Lina!1
Wallyhad thr idea to gocamping twonigt! Want 2 joinn?
-Megan
Lina smiled, amused. It was becoming evident to everyone in the team that M’gann still hadn’t gotten used to human technology. The other day they had taught her how to use an electric oven properly (after yet another batch of hockey puck cookies). The experience was possibly the most dangerous thing they had done yet, including Cadmus and Mister Twister.
“What are you smiling about?” Quinn asked, as he leaned over to look at Lina’s phone but she quickly shut it off and shoved it in her bra.
“None of your business, Martín,” Lina smirked as she eyed-down her friend. As Lina’s light blue eyes met Quinn’s dark dark brown ones, he felt his resolve weaken. The pools of azure could have that effect on anyone if she wanted them to. He was just a little more vulnerable to it.
“It was my brother, he wants me home,” Lina spoke after a moment, a pang of uneasiness surging through her stomach as she lied to someone she considered to be one of her best friends.
“Well, it is three in the morning.” Quinn shrugged, running a hand through his shoulder-length black hair.
“You know how protective Calvin gets.” Lina shrugged. Quinn couldn’t help but let out a loud howl of laughter.
“Don’t remind me. Remember the first time I visited your place? The guy interrogated me.” Quinn laughed. “But I suppose you’re not much better…”
Lina frowned slightly at that. “What? I am not even close to being as protective as Calvin!”
Quinn gave the small girl beside him and gave her an unconvinced smile. “Whatever you say, Cherie.”
Lina, not catching the sarcasm in his voice, simply waved her hand in dismissal and made her way to the door. “Well, I best be off. Goodnight Martín, love you!”
When the door to the studio closed, Quinn remained in the studio; alone and the room darkened by the loss of sun gazing through the windows. He dug his hands in his front pockets, his smile left on his face.
“Goodnight Dubois.”

It didn’t take long for Lina to fly home at top-speeds, shower, get changed into some nicer civvies, and zeta over to the cave. Another talent she had picked up in her years as a hero; she had become very good at quickly changing clothes. Robin had once told her that it was one skill every hero grew into after time.
And just as she thought of the young, raven-haired boy; he materialized in the Zeta-tube beside her.
“Fancy meeting you here Airhead.” Robin cracked open a grin as his eyes met Lina’s figure.
“You as well, Boy Blunder.” Lina nodded. “I was just thinking of you actually.”
Robin’s smirk doubled in length, and a hand swept through his hair. “I knew my good looks and charm had to get your attention eventually.”
Lina let out a loud snort of laughter. “Mhmm, sure. I think you’ve been spending a little too much time around Wally.” She rolled her eyes. “Get back to me when you’re not a child, okay?”
Robin joined into the French girl’s laughter as they made their way into the kitchen, where they found Kaldur, Conner, and M’gann waiting.
“Ah, you two made it!” M’gann exclaimed happily. “Sorry for the last minute plans, but Wally’s idea to go camping sounded like so much fun!”
“No problem M’gann.” Robin shrugged. “Beats patrolling with Bats any day of the week in my book.”
“It was kind of you to invite everyone.” Kaldur nodded.
“But where’s Wa-“ Before Lina could finish her question, the ginger speedster sped into the kitchen with his hands full of camping supplies.
“Gathered a couple chairs, some firewood, scrounged the pantry for graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows; and now we’ll cozy up together outside…”
Wally’s voice trailed off as he entered the kitchen and caught a look at his teammates waiting inside, his expression full of surprise which led everyone to believe that these plans were not made with them in mind.
“We’re going to need a lot more stuff than that if we’re gonna go camping!” Robin smirked.

21:56
“This was a great idea, don’t you think Wally? Camping in the great outdoors…” The cheeky mockery in Robin’s voice could be heard a mile away.
After digging into some supplies around the cave, the group had found enough to be used for all six of them. Three two-person tents, a hammock, more firewood and food, a few chairs that could be used outside, even a cooler that the teens used to store the food in case of any animals that may be lurking in the woods.
It was the true camping experience, save for the actual home base that was less than a kilometre away from the campsite.
“I don’t remember inviting you.” Wally huffed. “Besides, I didn’t say anything about camping. I said a campfire. Big difference between just a campfire and the whole camping thing, I don’t like camping outside anyways…”
Wally sent a grinning look over his shoulder at M’gann, who was sitting far back from the fire. As Martian and Atlantean biologies were extremely susceptible to high temperatures, such as fire, both M’gann and Kaldur had to sit far away from the fire as to not receive any unwanted heat.
“...unless, of course, I’m camping with that special someone.”
“Dude, that was borderline creepy.” Robin cringed.
If M’gann had noticed Wally’s flirting or Robin’s line, she didn’t bother to show it. “Well, I think all of us camping is a wonderful idea!” The alien girl piped up.
“She didn’t seem to think my line was too bad,” Wally smirked.
Robin looked at Lina, noticing her holding back her on cringing. “She’s probably on a sugar overload.”
“Thanks to Wally, I get to try s’mores for the first time.” M’gann cheered as she took a bite of the mushy marshmallow-chocolate-graham cracker concoction on her stick.
“What can I say? I’m a sweetie!” Wally quipped. “Get it? Cause s’mores are sweet?”
Seeing the Martian girl enjoying her own s’more, Lina looked down at her own with an alien look.
“I do not understand this dessert…” Lina muttered.
“They don’t have s’mores in France?” M’gann asked, mouth full of gooey marshmallow.
Lina shook her head. “Marshmallows aren’t very popular, and graham crackers aren’t even available anywhere that I know of…” After poking the melted sugars white goo spilling out from the dessert, the girl wrinkled her nose and handed hers to M’gann; who ecstatically snatched it and popped the dessert into her mouth.
“So this is what you do when you go camping?” Superboy asked, gesturing to their makeshift camping grounds. “Sleep in these flimsy things called ‘tents’ and sit around the fire?”
“Yeah, that’s pretty much about it. So if you feel like heading home, I can sit here with Ms. M...alone.”
“You’re about as subtle as a train wreck, you know that?” Robin grinned. The flames reflecting off his sunglasses, which he was still wearing despite it being the middle of the night, made his mischievous features look downright malicious.
“You’re not going to catch any fish unless you go fishing dude!” Wally replied, then seemed to catch himself as he looked back at Kaldur-who was cringing a little at the metaphor. “Sorry, no offence.”
“Usually,” Robin cut in, crossing his arms, “you sit around the campfire and tell stories.”
“Oh!” M’gann exclaimed, whipping around to face Kaldur who broke off his eye contact with Lina to face the Martian. “I would love to hear your story Kaldur. Could you tell us how you became Aqualad?”
“I was thinking more of a ghost story type of thing but I guess…whatever.”
Seeing the flames continue to brighten the boy’s sunglasses along with the almost evil in appearance expression, a shiver ran through Wally’s spine.
“Dude, tone down the evil villain vibes would ya? You’re creeping me out!” Wally whisper-shouted.
“Oh, I suppose I could do that if you do not think it will be too boring…” Kaldur said, eyes darting around his teammates to get a reading on how they may feel about the suggestion. Everyone’s interests seemed to be piqued however, everyone’s eyes on him save for Robin’s-whose head was tilted in his direction but his eyes still lay focused on the flames before him.
“Not at all! I would love to hear it!” M’gann nodded.
Ever self-conscious about being in the spotlight, Kaldur took one more look around the campfire. When his eyes landed on Lina, whose head was propped up in her hands as she waited for him to begin. Her eyes displayed such excitement, even though she already knew his story from many a telling, and the Atlantean felt a sense of confidence flow through him. His mind began to formulate his story, piecing together the chapters of his life as his grey-teal eyes became entranced by the fire.
“Well, I grew up in the city of Shayeris, which is a city in Atlantis. Surface dwellers think all Atlanteans are the same, but our kingdom has many cities, many people, many cultures. When I was twelve, I completed my education and began my mandatory service in the Atlantean military-which is standard for all at that age.”
“After a while, I was transferred to the prestigious Conservatory of Sorcery in the Atlantean capital of Poseidonis. Queen Mera is the Head Mistress of the Conservatory and wife of King Orin, Aquaman. It was a very different time for me. It was difficult, as it would be for anyone at age fourteen I suppose, but also a time in my life where I met friends that I know will be with me for a lifetime."
"Then came a day...a horrible day when Poseidonis was attacked by the Ocean Master. I can remember it vividly, as if it only happened yesterday. It was the day Aquaman almost met his end."
"Aquaman and Ocean Master fought for what seemed like hours. When the two clashed it seemed to shake the very foundations of the city. Ocean Master had gained the upper hand, and nearly defeated Aquaman." Then, Kaldur paused. "Correction: Aquaman was defeated."
"Garth, a fellow student, and I intervened on the King's behalf. It was the only thing we could think of doing. The danger did not occur to us, the only thing that mattered to us at the time was that our King was in danger. It may have been one of the most foolish things Garth and I had ever done, as we nearly met our own end. We had no hope of defeating him whatsoever, but the time we spent engaged in battle against the Ocean Master was time enough for our King to recover. That was all he needed as Aquaman finally triumphed over Ocean Master."
"Aquaman is a being of two worlds. On the surface world, he fights for justice of all beings, under the sea he is a leader of many. Both carry the weight of responsibilities. Overwhelming responsibilities that only the best of men can carry for so long. Even Aquaman cannot do both forever. Realizing that on the surface both Batman and Green Arrow had taken on apprentices that could one day take over their respective mantels, King Orin had been contemplating the same idea. With this in mind, he approached both Garth and myself with the possibility of becoming his proteges. I must admit, the possibility intrigued me immediately."
"I had never been to the surface world, and I will be the first to admit that I am a bit of an adventurer. Many is the day in class that I would dream of visiting distant oceans and possibly, one day, even the surface world. Both Garth and I seriously considered the King's offer. But Garth ultimately chose to continue his studies with Queen Mera at the Conservatory of Sorcery. For me, however...the chance to visit the surface world was a dream come true. So at the age of fourteen, I became Aqualad. I miss my friends, Garth, Tula...but the chance to work with my mentor and King was an opportunity I could not pass up. I like to think the work that I am doing makes a difference."
"The rest of the story you know. Aquaman brought Aqualad to the surface world...and now I am here with you."
Kaldur's story elicited a smile from pretty much everyone, although on differing levels.
Lina stretched her back over the log she was leaning against, moaning slightly as she did. "I love stories of the fathoms below…" she sighed.
"So you wanted to be Aqualad?" M'gann asked.
"Yes, the opportunity alone...I could think of no other path." Kaldur spoke with a small, content and nostalgic smile on his lips.
"If you think he wanted to be Aqualad so badly, let me tell you about how I got started." Wally piped up.
"Oh this ought to be good." Lina heard Robin mutter.
"It literally goes back a couple generations. Each generation of Flash has started with a bang! Literally! Jay Garrick was in a freak accident: Boom! There it is. During the 40s and 50s, he was everywhere. 'The fastest man alive', Jay Garrick was the first Flash."
"Then, one day this guy comes along; a huge fan of The Flash, wanting to know all about this Jay Garrick-back in those days Jay didn't really hide his identity-he contacts Jay and the two spend hours and hours talking about his adventures and his accident that turned him into the Flash. This guy even goes so far as to re-create the accident that created the original! But whereas Jay Garrick's was a complete freak accident, this guy rre-createsit under laboratory conditions; he set the whole thing up in his lab and tried to make it happen. Result? Still a big explosion, but lo and behold he becomes speedy mcspeed-speed himself! Now he's The Flash. Well, not the original Flash, but the new Flash...the Flash we all know! Now that I'm saying all this...they probably could have used different names…But now this time, he was even faster than the old Flash! He had even more speed!"
Wally popped another s'more into his mouth, then continued his story.
"Okay, so check this! The second Flash is a fan of the first Flash-Jay Garrick-and it turns out great minds think alike! Cause I was a fan of the Flash! The second one, not the first. Well, I was a fan of Jay Garrick after I got to meet him, but he was a little before my time."
"Long story short, one day I was in my Uncle's house and stumbled across his old notebooks, and got the shock of a lifetime. That was the day I found out my uncle was The Flash! Once the shock had passed a bit, I kept reading. He had been keeping a journal of all his experiences and experiments! Especially the one that made him the Flash-the second one, not the first-""We get it already!" Robin interrupted.
Wally ignored his friend's outburst and carried on.
"When I found that out, I would kind of keep hinting to my uncle that Flash could maybe use and needed a partner. I mean, come on, by this time Bats already had Robbie over there, GA had Speedy, Aquaman had Kal...heck, even RT had Lina at that point! This was a total no-brainer! I've got to admit, Flash was a little resistant at first."
"Does this story sound confusing to anyone else?" Superboy asked.
"Just let me finish, and you will be confused no more Supey!" Wally winked, sending finger guns to the clone. "So, having his journal just like he saw the previous Flash's, I try to recreate the experiment with my own chemistry set. And what do you know? I was actually able to do it."
"The experiment actually worked?" Kaldur asked.
"Well...not at first, actually." Wally suddenly seemed a little uncomfortable. "I was hurt in the explosion, it was pretty bad...but although the super speed didn't kick in for a couple weeks, when it did; I was perfectly fine, and then I was off and running. I couldn't wait to show Flash! When he saw that I had powers, how could he not want me as a partner? You guys should've seen his face when I showed him! This time he jumped at the chance to have me as his partner, Flash couldn't wait to show me off to the world! He was beyond ecstatic, he couldn't contain his excitement! It was the greatest day in the history of the world! Why you ask?"
"We didn't." Robin snorted.
"That's the day the world got Kid Flash!"
Wally remained silent, as if waiting for people to applaud, then said with an air of victory and pride, "You. Are. Welcome."
"Ah yes, we're all so pleased that you're so speed-capable." Robin snickered. Wally shot a glare at him.
“What’s the matter? Jealous?” Wally asked.
“Sheeyah, right. Jealous of you?”
"What about you Lina?" M'gann cut in, catching the small brunette's attention.
"Moi?" Lina asked, then laughed awkwardly. "I can assure you, mine's not as interesting as fighting alongside great monarchs or sciencey explosions…"
"As long as it's not so confusing…" Superboy shrugged.
"C'mon Lin', you've got a great origin story!" Wally cheered on.
Lina sighed, a timid heat crawling up to her ears, and she found herself fiddling with a strand of hair.
"Well, then...I guess I should start with where I grew up. My family line worked in the circus industry for generations, right down to my parents, my brothers and I. We performed for a European Travelling Circus, Cortez' to be exact...it was my home. My father was a stagehand, he was never one for acts himself, but my brothers were a fire-dancer and an animal tamer respectively and my mother and I...we were an acrobatic duo! Aerial work, floor routines, silks, contortion, gymnastics...everything you could think of, we specialized in! Growing up in a circus...there's nothing else like it. The acts, the work that goes into it, the family...it's perfect."
Lina's eyes seemed to light up as she spoke, but then suddenly the light seemed to fade. "But then...there was a fire. The authorities never figured out how it started, but my mom and I got crushed in some debris when she tried to save me and...when the smoke cleared my mother had…passed. I was put into a coma lasting for months. Apparently, nothing in the circus lay untouched by the flames. With the destruction it wreaked, and then with one of the most prominent families in Cortez' history leaving after the death of their monarch...the circus closed before the end of the season."
"But then, while in my coma, this power in me suddenly manifested. Somehow, I don't know exactly how, I created a giant tornado in the France countryside. Thank God nobody was hurt, and the destruction was minimal considering. But when I woke, the Justice League was there. My family had explained everything to them and then; Red Tornado, Black Canary, and Batman came into my hospital room and talked to me. They told me of how Red was willing to take me in as an apprentice, teach me to control my powers, and Black Canary would help me heal while also teaching me hand-to-hand combat. My family wasn't too happy at this initially...but I agreed. I felt like I needed to do something so it wouldn't happen again."
"Then started a whole year of training. Being in a coma for months while I healed from serious wounds had left my body weak and brittle, so I had a lot of work to do. But as I'm sure you'll all find soon, Black Canary is the perfect person to 'whip you into shape', no matter what shape you start off in. And then, after I was deemed ready by both my mentors, I was officially given the title 'Zephyr' and I started fighting evil. And now...here I am, with all of you."
"...I'm sorry about your Mother." M'gann frowned. The girl looked a little guilty, but Lina shook her head and smiled.
"It's alright, I have made peace with her passing. And besides, I know that wherever she is...she's happy that her family is all well and safe."
"You really don't know where your powers come from?" Superboy suddenly asked. His question surprised Lina, but she answered nonetheless.
"I do not. The League has apparently attempted to find out, I even was the subject of a couple of tests at STAR Labs for a couple of days because we wanted to figure it out, but...we simply do not know." Lina shrugged.
“I’m sure we’ll figure it out soon.” Robin shrugged. “Just gotta find the right people.”
The French girl gave the younger boy beside her a smile and gently rustled his hair. “Merci...perhaps one day…”
“Can you tell us how you got started Robin?” M’gann asked.
Wally answered with a loud snort of laughter, which seemed to put Robin in a very bitter mood as the raven-haired male looked away and began to pout a little. “Are you kidding? Bats won’t even let him tell anyone his real name!”
Finally looking back at his best friend, Wally noticed that the youngest of the group was looking particularly uncomfortable. A slight blush was dusted on his cheeks, and his shoulders were slouched. The ginger also noticed the fact that Robin was avoiding looking at Lina at all costs. As if just looking at her, or as Wally knew-thinking too much about the story she had just told-would lead him to unravel. Wally sidestepped and reevaluated what he just said.
“I mean...you’ll probably get a better origin story out of Supey over there.” The ginger motioned to the shadowy figure across the fire from him.
“But you all already told me his story, didn’t you?” M’gann spoke. “You told me that the four of you rescued him from CADMUS.”
Wally nodded. “That we did.”
“Yes, chronologically Superboy is only 16 weeks old,” Kaldur explained
“And you don’t have any memories of what happened before you were rescued?” The Martian girl asked Superboy.
If Superboy was at all anxious from having the attention suddenly tossed onto him, he didn’t bother to show it. “I have some memories...from the g-gnome…it would teach me about the world outside while I was in the containment pod.”
This made M’gann smile but then frown slightly. “So you can remember things? When you were in the containment pod they would feed you information and you could remember it, right?”
“I guess so.” Superboy shrugged indifferently.
“Well if you can remember what they taught you, you must have been thinking about things as they fed you information,” M’gann said, her voice almost analytical in a sense. “What did you think about?”
“When I was in the containment pod, I was fed information. But I really didn’t start thinking for myself until I got out.”
“Well what kinds of things do you think about now?”
The group seemed unsure of why the sudden interrogation had sprung up surrounding Superboy’s thoughts, but when the clone hesitated in his answer the attentions of all the experienced proteges seemed to be piqued. And when the boy looked back at everyone with a gaze that was equal parts cold and empty, several warning signs began to go off in their heads. The only exception to this was Robin, who Wally noticed hadn’t reacted at all.
“The one thing that’s always on my mind...destroying Superman.”
Almost in unison, a chill crept up every single hero’s spines. Upon seeing the shocked expressions on their faces, Superboy stood from his chair and turned away from the group.
“Are you serious Superboy?” M’gann asked.
Superboy paused. “...it’s how I feel...sometimes. What if that’s why I was created? What if that’s the only reason I was created?”
“That’s not possible.” M’gann shook her head.
“Yeah! Look at all the good stuff you’ve done so far!” Wally exclaimed.
“What would be the possible reasoning behind this thinking?” Kaldur inquired.
Superboy sighed, and his fists tensed by his sides. “I just feel...I don’t know what I feel. Sometimes thoughts happen.”
“Those would be silly thoughts!” M’gann chipped. “You should put them out of your head.”
“He does have a valid point.” Robin pointed out, but the tone of his voice made it evident he did not want to be the realistic one in this scenario. “We really don’t know anything about what they did to him yet…”
Reaching up, Lina touched Wally’s arm and the two looked to one another for a moment, then nodded.
“We know he’s one of the good guys, and we know he’s part of the team,” Wally argued, standing up.
“We know he fought side-by-side with us to get out of Cadmus, and helped to free us from being cloned ourselves,” Lina added on, standing up herself and floating over to the clone. She was joined by Wally, spare s’more in his hand.
“In this world, actions speak louder than words,” Kaldur spoke. “Superboy has proven his intentions with his actions.”
“Hero, villain. Human, or otherwise. Each and every living being has a balance of good and evil in them. That includes all of us here today, whether we choose to recognize that or not.” Lina nodded and placed a caring hand on Superboy’s shoulder. “What matters is what part of that balance we choose to act on. You’ve proven several times that you act on the good.”
“Exactly!” Wally exclaimed, and shoved the s’more into Superboy’s hands. “So put those thoughts outta your head Supey! And while you’re at it, have another s’more.”
Superboy looked down at the s’more, his expression shrouded in shadow. “Thank you...all of you.”
As Wally and Lina sat back down, the former nudged Robin with his foot. “Dude, what’s wrong? Not like you to zone out mid-monologue.” Wally whispered.
“I guess Superboy isn’t the only one lost in thought tonight…” Robin whispered back, ever so mysteriously.
An awkward silence spilled over the teens. The only sound surrounding them being the cracking of the fire and the odd rustle in the bushes. Nearly everyone shifted uncomfortably in their seats, not wanting to continue in the awkwardness but not wanting to be the first to speak after such a dramatic moment. But never being one to like silence of any sort, especially amongst friends, Wally’s eyes latched onto the only person who had not given their own personal origin story.
“Hey! Miss M! What about you? What’s your dealio?”
“Oh...uh, I guess since you all told your stories…” M’gann cleared her throat, which had suddenly gotten very dry. “I guess, well, I’m from Mars…”
She slapped her head, “Hello Megan, you all already knew that!”
“All Martians live in underground tunnels because the surface is inhabitable. Our family lives are very intertwined because, as you already know, we mostly communicate telepathically. This helps the large families of Mars keep a sense of community and stay closer."
"Large families?" Wally asked, looking intrigued. "How many are in in your family?"
"Martian families are quite large. I myself have twelve sister and seventeen brothers. In my extended family I have over three hundred counsins." M'gann explained. Everyone's eyes widened at this, especially Wally's.
"Three hundred?" The speedster asked.
"Yes."
"Are they all girls like you?"
"Dude!" Robin exclaimed. "You are a class act!"
"Dude!" Wally called back. "Three hundred girls that look like her? Now that's a planet I want to visit!"
Lina nudged Wally with her foot. "Bordering on creepy again, KF."
"Well, half of my cousins are male, but yes. Most Martians look similar...mostly Green like my Uncle J'onn and myself. But there are other...differences. There are also Martians who are red and white...but some on my planet do not see the whites as equal."
"Well, that's a little ironic, compared to Earth…" Lina thought.
"My parents are both green, and I was raised in what would be called a 'liberal' type of environment. My family, I, have no issue with white Martians. Others...are not as tolerant."
"What made you come to Earth?" Kaldur asked, and Lina could notice a little bit of discomfort in his voice.
"Of all the brothers, sisters, parents, aunts, uncles; the family member I was closest to was Uncle J'onn. We had a great relationship." M'gann went on to explain. "We would watch exploits on Earth with the rest of the Justice League. He grew to be a true beacon of hope and stood for what our society could achieve. He became the most famous Martian in our history! And upon his return to Mars, it was considered a planetwide celebration! But his return was not for adoration...he had a more specific purpose in mind."
"Upon learning about all of you-Robin, Aqualad, Zephyr, Kid Flash, and Speedy-J'onn decided now was the time to introduce a younger Martian hero to Earth."
"J'onn J'onzz came back to Mars and declared he would hold a competition to find the next Martian champion that would be returning with him to fly amongst the heroes of Earth. I decided I would enter the competition, as it seemed so did half the population of Mars. I however, was coming to Earth. The competition was fierce and dangerous. It was exciting, and consumed the lives of every single Martian on the planet."
"At first, Uncle J'onn seemed as if he didn't want me to compete. I thought maybe it was because he didn't want me coming to Earth. I had seen some of his adventures, they were life-threateningly dangerous. But I was not going to let that stop me, I was determined to win! From everything I had seen and heard of Earth from that point...I had loved it. I wanted to come see it for myself, I would not be bested. I won the whole competition."
"My heart soared! I was coming to Earth! This was the most exciting point of my life, and now I am here with all of you! I am a part of the Team! I truly love it."
"We are happy you're here with us as well M'gann." Kaldur smiled.
"You could say that again," Wally added.
"And I hope we continue to live up to the...what's that word…'hype'." Lina reached over to pat Megan's leg.
Pulling the conversation away, Robin stood and stretched. "Well...I don't know about you guys, but I think I've had one s'more too many. I'm going to hit the old sleeping bag."
"Yes!" M'gann cheered. "This has been such an amazing evening, but I am so excited to sleep in a tent!"
"I'm right behind you." Wally piped up, only to be pulled back by Robin.
"Yeah, only you're sleeping in this tent right over here," Robin spoke, motioning to the tent that the two boys had agreed beforehand to share.
As everyone began to stand, M'gann turned to face Lina. "Are you turning in as well?"
"I believe so, I'll be in in a minute." The human girl nodded, stretching her neck to crack the bones. The girl with green skin nodded happily and zoomed over to the tent belonging to the two of them.
"Hey, next time you think we should go camping for real? Like in an actual camping ground instead of in our own backyard?" Wally asked.
"You don't strike me as the outdoorsy type...maybe next time we'll try down the hill a bit." Robin shrugged indifferently.
"You're certain your family is fine with you staying the night here again?" Kaldur asked the small French girl standing beside him, who nodded in response.
"Believe me, they are more than fine with it. Last I spoke with them my older brother said, and I translate, "it's good to have your sorry butt out of the house for once”.” Lina laughed a little. “What about you? I hope this isn’t stopping you from visiting Atlantis.”
Kaldur shrugged. “Atlantis will survive without me for a few more days. For now, my place is with the team-my friends.”
Lina smiled at this, and gently bumped her shoulder with his. “I’m glad to hear it! But for now, I think your place is getting some sleep.” Kaldur’s lazy smile turned into a chuckle.
“The same to you.”
“In that case,” The air-manipulator grinned and took a curtsy to both the Atlantean and the clone, who had been silently watching them with an empty expression, “I wish you adieu et bonne nuit.”
Kaldur watched Lina turn and leave, a small smile itching at the corners of his mouth, but Superboy just turned to face the flames once again. After a moment, the Atlantean focused back on the Kryptonian.
“That was a fun evening indeed, but I think I will be turning in as well...unless you would like some company, Superboy?”
“No, that’s okay.” The younger boy barely made a physical notion of whether he had heard Kaldur or not, “I’ll turn in soon. I just want to sit here with the fire a bit longer.”
Kaldur nodded but didn’t question the response. “Well, if you need anything; you know we are all here for you.”
And with that, Kaldur left to enter his own tent. But Superboy continued to stand, his eyes on the dancing flames but his gaze seeming to go straight through them. As if even though his body was standing there, in the makeshift camp site, but his mind and thoughts were...elsewhere.

Adventure tales! Elex Sora, the warrior of light
CHAPTER 0: PROLOG
Hello world. My name is Elex Sora and this is my journal! Let's see now, we're first supposed to tell a little about ourselves in these, I am 14 and I'm the younger brother to my sister Chandra, I have always been a rather fast growing boy my father says, he's even the one who gave me this journal to keep all of my thoughts in order! He says that a great scholar is one who writes his theories down, I dont really want to be a scholar like him but my sister does, their actually in the study right now. Dad says the study is a free zone so aslong as we clean up we are always welcomed into the study.
Today I went into the pantry and found a rat, it was huge! I didn't know what to do so I found a wooden stick and chased it off, dad heard the commotion and ran in to see what was happening, when he saw I was chasing a rat with a stick he simply walked away and came back with a cage, I helped by chasing it into the cage, my dad is so smart!
Its been awhile since I last picked this book up, I really was childish all those years ago wasn't I? Well I'm 17 now and well I guess this book does have one important thing in my life, it was the first time I ever actually wielded a weapon, that was a real spark in my life since afterwards I tried everything I could to whack things with. My father disapproved of my actions and told me the blade is a brutes weapon and that the mind is thr true warriors blade, but I didn't see the mind work as well as a blade when someone broke into our house and I had to break his hand to stop him from breaking anything, no it was the stick I had been carving into a sort of maul for a few months now that stopped him from continuing, although I do feel a little sorry for the guy, i heard my sister talking with dad telling him how they didn't need to call the guard and that she would handle him, I wasnt sure but I swear I heard excitement come from dads voice, I feel sorry for whatever may have happened to that burglar.
I was right to worry! A week after Chandra took the burglar I've been hearing strange noises and noticing an increase in vermin within the house all focused around this wall, well I inspected it and found that it was a false wall, having mo idea what it was I went into its darkness and down a spiral staircase, there i saw something beyond .y eyes, I saw the dead covering nearly every foot of the room, the stench was horrid and putrid. What has been going on in here?! They were all seemingly caged and imprisoned so I explored abit, it wasnt until I came across a small boy, his flesh rotten away reveling the bone yet still moving, he looked up at me with eyes, expresionless eyes, eyes that will haunt me forever. When I turned around I saw both my father and Chandra watching me, Chandra had this biggest smile and staring straight at the child yet my father was watching me with his own blank eyes, these are the kind of eyes he'd get when watching a professor who came by to learn under him.
I was mortified by their reactions, they had no emotion towards this child, this child that was taken from its home, taken from its family, my family are monsters, I know this now, i can't live in this house knowing how vile my own family is. We have always been respected as a wise family but the truth is we are nothing more than putrid flesh willing our bones to move, I'm leaving this family, I'm buying a sword and going on a boat to somewhere else, somewhere without this dreaded family.
CHAPTER 1: DREAMSTRIDERS
I have arrived by boat shortly after leaving my families home, this entrance alone needs alot of explanation but in short I left my family in search of an answer, i want to know if what they do is normal, if everything even the kidnapping is accepted by society. Since I spent most of my life with my family I dont have any true answer to it, I just know that it feels wrong.
When I arrived I noticed a strange feeling in the air, it felt almost like my family was here but this feeling had a different feel to it, not an ever changing feeling but a leeching one, as if the town was surrounded by an invisible barrier that drains those on the inside.
I walked around getting a feel for the town, I hadn't noticed this before but it seems oddly dark for it to be in the late afternoon; there has also been many complaints from the residents of the town, I've heard of a priest in the tavern that is offering aid for the dreams, I'll find work for the day so that I can eat tomorrow and find out what he knows, perhaps my family has its fingers in more places than I thought.
Before I went to bed from the night, which was heavily overpriced, I met a strange elf who hadn't really spoken much, from the few words he did say he asked if I needed help, i told him that i would be unable to pay him but when i could I'd be leaving this town and travelling, he seemed excited by this and offered to be my companion, he told me that he was rather effective at healing and could deal some damage when needed, I agreed to this, now I have no money left since i had to pay for two rooms, I hope tomorrow is profitable.
When I awoke the next morning I found two large rats laying ontop of me, I quickly tried to get up and go for my sword but their reaction surprised me, they didn't seem mean or gruff, they were actually kind of friendly with me, it's odd but they seem to want to follow me. I hope I can get the money to feed them too.
I spoke to the priest, he seemed to be hiding something but was sincere in his desire to help the people of the town, he said there was a demon of sorts residing there consuming everyone's dreams, I do not believe this is the work of my family, in all my life I have never known any of them to consort with demons, rather they would become the demons themselves. But ruining a town needlessly? They wouldn't do so for long.. they tend to get bored or find a solution not requiring the town before getting bored. I've offered to help the priest to the tower and put an end to the cursed dreams, I must know for certain if my family is involved.
We've reached the temple but as we did we were attached by demonic beasts that could only resemble gremlins but thin to the bone and putrid from the smell, with the three of us they were easy to defeat after the initial shock of them, the two rodent friends unfortunately did not make it out of the attack, I'll have to bury them when I get back to town.
I have returned to the town from the temple, alot has happened but unfortunately I could not make enough gold to pay for a nights rest, for now I'll keep myself dry from the rain on the blacksmiths benches. When we entered the temple I found myself in between a conflict of two sides, cults vs bandits, and both were more than willing to attack me. As we got deeper the priest confirmed my suspicion of being more than what meets the eye, he told me that he was once part of this cult and that he had fled before a sort of gas took hold of everyone freezing them in time. About halfway through the temple we came across a barrier, there was no way to cross this barrier but the priest had an idea, he thought that we could use this potion which would allow for a state called "dreamstriding" this is where you dream then appear somewhere else, I truthfully dont understand the full ordeal but when i drank it i was transported away into another body, I could move but it felt as if I were being guided to follow what history laid out, in fact being able to move was about all I could do, I could not interact with anyone or anything, only run. The end of the dream stride came when I pulled a lever releasing the gas, that's when I appeared on the other side of the barrier, able to pull it down. At long last after fighting past both cultist and bandit we came across what was referred to as the "skull of corruption." It was apparently the source of the dream leeching, it was guarded by two cultists, the priest seemed to know them, they in turn called him a traitor for running. Suffice to say we reached the skull and it was just a skull on a stick, that's if I didn't feel the demonic power emanating from it, the moment the pure raw energy touched my skin I knew my family had no relation to this scheme, I'm not sure how I should feel about knowing this, that there are other forces at work aside from my family causing this danger to others, I suppose I should be glad that my family has principles yet its discomforting to know nevertheless. For now I have a new feeling, something to the west brings a terrible feeling, as if something powerful will be uncovered soon, something that is far more powerful than the demon of dreams. I must also confirm that the sun really has vanished, at first I thought it was simply the demons influence but now that it's gone I am no longer so sure. Ps i hate the snow, it makes me feel weak.
I awoke drenched in rain, it seems the benches were a bad idea, it was still raining and since we were already soggy we decided to head out, as we were walking west I noticed something move put of the corner of my eye, a stopped and started for a moment but nothing happened, just as I turned to continue walking a tree thruster itself from the air and threw a massive snow ball at me missing by only a foot, under the tree was a massive block of ice moving as if it were a person, I ran as it prepared more snow.
Further along the road I came across a building, a soldier stood guard there so I believed them to atleast not attack me on sight, inside were men and women dressed in robes armor, they called themselves vigilantes and hunt demons of any kind, they said they were there because of the rumours of a dream thief in the town from whence I came from but when they arrived everyone was happy and well rested, they asked around but everyone said the priest had cured them of their nightmares, when they tried to visit the priest he was covered in a party and so were unable to speak with him. I asked if anything was to the west, they told me the only thing to the west is a half drowned city and a mage college, otherwise nothing was happening in that direction. Maybe the college is where my feeling is coming from, I truly hope this isn't what it feels like it is.
CHAPTER 2: THE VIGILANTES AID
I left the vigilantes cottage and moved along the road, there what I saw horrified me, creatures that even my father would put down as a mercy were attacking a fort, the soldiers caught well but the fleshy abominations were too fast and too powerful, in fact when they spotted me they covered distance previously unimaginable, what is this strange land I find myself in, why are there beasts so horrific that even my family would scoff at its make, I thought that I would leave my home to find good people, people who live without the need for magic or atleast did not have the power hunger my family does, I see now that my family is not the worst, that they are in fact tame compared to the rest of the world, and though they may seem cruel they still have their principles. This feeling I have in the west is too great still, I'm goin to find out what this feeling is and stop it, afterwards I will see what can happen.
I know it may seem cowardly but I wrote the last entry right after fleeing from the said abominations, I ran back to the vigilantes and under some gods grace they offered to teach me their ways, they taught me more effective armor techniques and how to effectively use a sword and shield to not only block arrows but to enchant a shield using your own mana to create a sort a ward diminishing the effects of magic casted on you by the shield, it effectively makes the shield useable in any form of combat. They taught me magic that can destroy demons and even taught me how to enchant my blade to destroy the undead forces of the world and to heal my fellow man, the abominations taught me the true horrors of man, these vigilantes taught me that man will stand even against other worldly horrors. I believe that I am finally ready to set out to the college and find out what is happening.
As I was leaving a young vigilante ran towards me carrying a large cloth, he said the master of the cottage wante8d to give this weapon to me, he said that when all vigilantes pass their trials a blade is rewarded to them, a blade to trial the undead with. I uncovered the sword and under the cloth laid a bountiful silver blade, echted into the blade were runes of magic, I could not make out what the runes meant but I know with it I can kill the hordes of the dead standing between me and the possible end of the world as we know it. The same boy who gave me this sword also asked to travel with me, he too has trained to defeat the demons as I have but with one exception, the master of the cottage has deemed him unable to travel alone, and because of recent events the vigilantes are being called to action, since I will be traveling alot I will also meet with alot of undead, for now I will simply clear a path for those that wish to flee the cottage, I have a feeling that soon it will be no more..
With my training from the vigilantes and the aid of one of their own I managed to cut down the abominations the terrified me before, unfortunately even after their death they are still as disgusting as ever, once dead they act as a sort of disease bomb, I am all too thankful my newfound companion is well versed in the medical aspects of the training whereas I took closer to combat.
I cut a path through to a nearby fort, they too were under siege, it was so bad that I saw two sides of a war fighting together side by side as vampires and massive abominations charged the keep, I was unfortunate to have arrived late, as my group and i killed the rest of the dead the guardians if the fort fell, all that remained in the end was my group, we decided to continue on towards the college, but if theres some way to stop these attacks I must act towards it.
I am such a fool! I took a night in an inn which was fine and dandy, it seems over priced is normal in this land for a nights rest, but what I didn't mean to do is take a right, the path seemed so straight forward I hadn't even noticed that I took a right turn, i only noticed when i came across a sign post, what am I to do but to stay in this town? Though my anxiety has increased I still have this feeling about this town.. it's more like a misty kind of feel, I'll take a look around but if I'm right I'll have to find someone to help explain these feelings I get, I'm doubting its family heritage.. or was I part of an experiment? The last part is definitely not comforting, but it does make me feel uneasy.. in either case I'll spend the night in the city and double back and go down the right road in the morning, aside from growing tensions between races in this city there doesnt seem to be any other problem.
I was talking to the patrons at a local tavern and it turns out someone called the butcher has been killing people at night, I wasnt sure if this was the feeling I was getting when I entered but I would certainly rest better knowing such a person was locked away, I couldn't actually afford a room to rent for the night but theres a bard who seems to enjoy playing her music so atleast there is some ambience while I sit next to the taverns flame.
While I was resting I found a small girl, she told me how her mother died while she was small and how her father left to fight in the war plaguing this land, she doesnt seem to want to accept gold at this time, I seem to have caught her trying to rest by the fire just like myself, I may not have much coin but I will be sure that she has a large portion of it before I leave town, maybe they'll give a discount to her since she's a child and could actually afford the food unlike me.
When morning came the girl seemed better rested then the night before, she was even willing to sell me her flowers, now she has enough gold to spend a night in the inn, I hope she has enough money to find some food until she finds a home.
Unfortunately I have heard nothing about the murders aside from a name, i am forced to move on, with luck I can find some game along the way back and some water, I'm running low on supplies.
While I was returning back to the road I noticed some goats crossing my path, due to my lack of food i decided to chase one down, they were unfortunately too fast for me, and so I fashioned a bow made from spare sticks I found, with it I managed to kill and got a goat, atleast now I have food to last me until I get to the college.
It took longer then I admit it should have bit I noticed that the vigilante was missing, I talked to my magic friend, all he spays is that he left to do some extra work, I truly do hope I see him again, I've come to grow fond of his company.
I feel sick to my stomach. As I was walking along the road I came across a fort, it was taken by the undead but not only them accursid necromancers accompanied them, using their magic they conjured a huge mountain of flesh, it was horrific, as hands it had a large torch and an axe, this beast was made for fighting but the worse part was its decaying form, it just slide right off, the beast itself seemed unaffected by my companions sword, mine however it seemed afraid of, in the end I could not best its strength and called upon the powers that the vigilantes had shown me, using the power inside of me I gathered the power if the sun and launched it towards the mammoth, it seemed that the beast was not prepared for such an action as it crumbled into a paste like goo, the power of the sun was stronger here then I elsewhere I suspect, without a sun to cover the sky the creatures themselves had turned dark and twisted, I must keep this in mind when fighting the creatures of the night, that the vigilantes secret magic can save the world.
As I was leaving I was attacked, this was no ordinary attack, this man was an assassin sent to kill me, why me? What have i done to earn the scorn of someone that they'd send an assassin after me? Maybe it was my family, maybe they found me and have sent people after me so that I'd keep quiet about their "experiments." Regardless the college cannot wait for such things, I must get there soon and find out why I have this dreadful feeling.
I have finally arrived in the town the college is in, after all this time and it's still a frozen wasteland, no matter, I went to the shop and sold off a few items I found fighting the necromancers, I picked up a few books they had laying around and it turns out those books are worth more than just their weight in gold, I finally have the money to spend a night in a good bed, it's been too long since I've had a peaceful nights rest and maybe later i can even buy some supplies, no more hunting just so I can survive another day for me, atleast for a week.
CHAPTER 3: A MAGICAL SOLUTION FOR A MAGICAL PROBLEM
I have arrived at the college, to pass I must simply show that I possess some magical ability, it seems how magical doesnt matter, I simply casted some light and that allowed me passage, inside I found strange golden statues, atleast I thought they were statues until one of them moved, I'm not sure what these things are but they seem magical in nature, around them feels warm and pleasant, much better than being elsewhere in this freezing cold. The college has offered me a bed, this is more than I have ever received! All just for being a student here, though I am excited it quickly turns to horror as I walk into the main halls of the college I found disturbing creatures, namely a floating tentacle monster in the center of the room, this strange beast had me distracted from the lesson I was attending, perhaps it was because i was distracted that the professor called upon me to demonstrate safety in magic, he asked me to create a magical shield in which he would test by throwing a fireball at, luckily my time with the vigilantes helped me create the shielding, with my experience I have passed the test, our next test is a practical one, we are told to meet up at some ruins, there we will excavate it for a y magical artifacts; to me this sounds like busy work but for now I have no leads for the feeling I have about this place.
I have reached the meet up location, I was assigned to a teacher already present in the excavation, I was tasked to find items of magical power, near instantly I had found and picked up a necklace which unbeknownst to me was a trap, spikes rose up blocking my path, the teacher for the trip appeared on other side, he said the amulet may do something, and so I put it on and surprisingly it did do something, the wall which the necklace was on began to glow, I decided to blast it with a holy sun ray, the same kind I used on the fleshy mountain, to my surprise the wall crumbled beneath the suns ray revealing a path and also opening the spike wall, I question the validity of this trap or if it ever was a trap at all, maybe the people who built this wall wanted this passage to be discovered, in either case the teacher and I continued through the passage until we met with what seemed to be a dead end, the was until I noticed the air grow still, even the teacher did not move, a ghastly apparition had appeared before me. The apparition warned me that what I have done is about to release a dangerous artifact, one that could destroy the world, but judgment will not pass to me as I had no way of knowing about such things.. if seemed to me that I had caused what I looked to avoid, i wasnt called here to stop the problem, I was called here to create the problem, while it is true that anyone could have stumbled across it I find the fact that, who came here to stop the world from happening, started the end of the world, I know not what I have done at this time but I do know that if there is a way to reverse my actions it must be done.
The room opened up and a swarm of the undead surrounded us, this was nothing to fear for the holy light blasted away each creature that showed its face, once all dead was turned to ash a path was opened to us. I opened a door and on the other side I saw a magnificent blue sphere, this sphere had writing etched into it, the blue was soft as if sky blue with gold inlays, its guardian was a single man, a single undead man which could not get past the suns might, on its body was a note, it seemed that this man was imprisoned here for crimes unknown, I dont know if I helped him find release or if his crimes were worse upon death, I can only hope that his life was not in vain.
The teacher asked me to go back to the college and report our findings to the head master, with post haste I quickly marched back to the college with the report.
After reporting to the head master he talked me with finding out more about this sphere that we found, he pointed me in the direction of the library and said to start there. I went to the library which was run by an orc, he said the information I was looking for was stolen and pointed me to where it was taken to, I'm starting to feel like an errand boy.
Before I left to find these thieves I asked the orc the question that's been on my mind for the longest time, what happened to the sun? He told me that long ago there was once a sun in the sky, but a vampire lord had taken it and has refused to return it, it doesnt make sense to me because while I lived with my family the sun was still there, but with how the orc explained it it sounds like most people dont even know what the sun is, what kind of land have I sailed to?
I asked him about the vigilantes aswell, he told me they were the last remaining people still fighting the vampires after the dawngaurd was destroyed, there are books on the subject, many layered with dust, but what I sought now was the connection the vigilantes had with the sun, since the spells they had taught me revolve around them so much, I have to wonder why cottage master taught me these things, I have seen no other using spells attuned to the sun, why am I the only one? I believe I have gotten all that I need from this library, i must continue on and when i have the chance ask the cottage master about these questions I have.
I have arrived at the fort, this place is packed with horrific undead creatures, I see giant mounds of flesh, tortured abominations and so much more, this place must be cleansed, I must destroy every dark creature here, whether it be for their mercy or their doom. With such number stacked against me I could never win, however i have one last trick up my sleeve, the ultimate form of the sun capable of annihilating everything in its path, I called upon the suns judgment which after a minute of collecting sun light blast down and burns every living creature, unfortunately those that are inside will be safe making me have to go in there to clean them out, fortunately it means the books are safe from the suns fire. I competed the ritual while sitting above the fort on a cliff, I could smell the fire as it came down, when it landed the light was blinding, it was a full minute before I could regain my sight, bellow me were burnt corpses, nothing moved, nothing survived the suns judgment, this is truly the ultimate move the sun has to offer. Walking among the burnt it was almost peaceful if not for the smell, the smell from the fires alone before they touched ground were enough to make most men scrunch their noses, but this smell is far worse, I've covered my helmet with layers of cloth but nothing helped the stench, I'll have to keep this in mind if I ever use such power again, though I do not believe I will be able to until this day next week. Inside were even more dead but by far less than what were outside, I found new abominations, most looked tortured others looked summoned, in either case all had to be destroyed. After a long a bloody fight I reached the top of the forts tower, there stood a female and a lich, the female spook first telling me that it's best I leave else I would die, now i just murdered hordes of the undead to get here, I will not turn away just because some girl with a lich says I should leave. And so i dashed a rosy the room, I suppose I surprised her because I loved her head off easily, the lich on the other hand did not go down as easily, it created shadows we could not defend against, I was forced to use my suns magic once more just to eliminate the shadows, but the lich was prepared, he had created a boarder around us dispelling my magic, only he had magic now, I did what any warrior could do, i stood up, ran right at him and bashed its face with my shield, this stunned it for just enough time allowing me to jump up and loge my blade straight through its chest. At first the lich seemed to smile at me but then that smile turned to terror as it burst into flames, the blade itself was enchanted with the suns holy blaze.
Now with the books in hand I returned to the college and handed them to the orc, I then had to speak wit the teacher again before an elf belonging to an odd faction appeared to take me away, he told me a man from an organization this his own has outlawed asks for me by name. He seems oddly agitated though from the glares he gets it seems to be his normal attitude, and so we went up stairs and there was the apparition I saw before but now as a flesh and blood creature, this was certainly odd, as I approached him the air became still just as before.
He told me of the artifacts dangers and that very soon someone within the college will attempt to misuse the artifact, unfortunately he had no more information on the subject but he did give me a name and a location, unfortunately the name is unfamiliar to me and the location is the college itself, I shall speak with the head master due to the sensitivity of this mission, I'd rather not let whomever is about to use the artifact know that I am on their trail.
I spoke to the headmaster, he seemed agitated at the name, he told be to instead talk to my teacher about this man that I am searching for. I wonder what kind of person this is if the head master himself dislikes him so.
I've spoken to my teacher about this man, it seems that he was once ana accomplished mage, delving into the heart of magic like none have seen before, but as the story goes he became too focused on his work which lead to some sort of accident; I hope to ask him about this accident when I see him, for now I shall go under the college in search of him. Let's hope he's more forthcoming about information than others have been.
It has become apparent to me that I have not described why these abominations are so grotesque to me. I left for the underground and found more tortured bodies, though I am not believing to not be tortured but instead enjoy the alterations made to their bodies. I am staring at one that I had just killed for instance, it has no legs under its thighs, what it uses for let's instead are pegs made from some sort of black material, each leg has joints connected into its flesh, I assume this is how it can move the legs around. On its chest it's a gruesome sight, writing in a language I know not of Mark's its torso, I nthe center of its chest cavity is an open wound allowing me to peer inside of its chest, I can see its organs and that they are all intact, in fact the organs are almost human like in nature. Attached to its nipples are metal clippings which has wires attached to a collar. His head is in a jar and has metal contraptions protruding from his skull, there is no writing here but his face is a mix of blood from either cuts or from the metal entering its skin. Its eyes and mouth are sewn shut but I can see even in death a smile across its face. It has a hand on its left side but the right side has only a metal claw, I'm unsure what the use of such a claw is aside from it being a weapon. On its left side its entire lower arm is gone, even its elbow is replaced by these metal parts. This is all without mentioning the stretch marks on its skin from what I can only assume to he a stretching mechanisms work. What kind of cruel monster would do such a thing to other people? What kind of cruel monster would enjoy such things being done to their bodies? This land is dark to it's very core..
I have spoken to this mage, he is no longer a mage but more closer to being a ball of pure energy, he has told me the grumpy one was here, he didn't elaborate but I thought of the mage who believes himself as a sort of advisor for the college. He also told me that I needed a staff, one made from the same cloth as the artifact itself. This is all before he vanishes, I could not ask him about his time here or what the incident was, all I can do now is report it to the head master.
I've spoken to the head master, to find the staff he says I must search for another group that seeks to find the staff aswell, he happened to know of such a group who came by a month back believing the college held the staff, after awhile they bregrudely left for some old ruins. I must search for them to gain the staff, with luck they already have it and would be willing to let us use it.
I have reached the ruins and I have never before seen such a place, the entire building is made seemingly from metal, it looks to be almost copper or gold or even electrum. I have never before believed such a place could exist.
At the entrance I met a monk, or a scholar maybe. it seems the ones I'm looking for have yet to leave, this is good news but from what I can tell they dont have the staff with them, maybe I can find out more as I continue.
I've killed many beasts but this one is different, these are no more beasts or even the creation of horror I've become accustomed to fighting, these are living breathing humanoids. Their blind and frail certainly but their strength is high, these creatures are certainly formidable though I'm concerned for their health, they seem to be poisoned.
There are traps within these walls! I was about to charge at one of the blind creatures trying to catch them off guard when another appeared and set off a trap, blades whirled from the ground cutting the blind creature in half, it had almost gotten me if it weren't for me falling from a pool of blood. I really have to be thankful for the little things, even my own clumsiness.
I have reached what I could only describe as a politician's stage, ontop of the stage was a blind one but this one had a strange staff, ontop of it laid a crystal like contraption which seemed oddly out of place with the environment, as if it tried to mimic the ancient buildings surrounding me but failed to do so adequately. In the end I killed more blind ones, the contraption seemed useful to me and so I took it off the stick it was on and carried through to the next door. It was locked but I could hear muffled voices from the other end, I have not heard the blind ones speak so i assumed it to be a survivor from the group i was sent here to discover. I knocked on the door and right away the voice cried out in excitement, it seemed he believed I was someone else presumably the one I found at the entrance. He opened the door and was shocked to see me instead, shock turned to despair as he wailed about the lost aligning crystals, hat was until he spotted the object glimmering from my bag. As it turns out the object I took from that blind one was exactly what he needed. With the object now in his possession we walked along the corridor, along the walls I saw many items all of which were either food or drink with a few bed rolls layed across the flooring. At the end of the corridor was a large door, larger than those prior. At the base of the door was a small crevice which the scholarly man pressed his fingers into, opening the door. On the other side was an amazing spectacle, it was a large sphere made from the same almost golden metal as the rest of the building, stained glass walkways led to its top, at the top where large hills of the same stained glass, on the ceiling directly above were similar stained hills, together they seemed to make a pattern. Between the two was another contraption, this one seems to be a focusing agent for light shined down through an empty space in the contraption. When the scholar placed the crystals into the empty slot the whole room lit up, it was a map of the entire realm, everything was there, from the city I rescued from the nightmares to the college itself along with many other places on the map, cities far to the west, the south even a bright one far to the east, further than this land seems to hold. But the scholar still seems displeased..
I asked him why the sour look and he said the cities should not be the only places on the map, that the map should adjust to magical artifacts rather than just the cities themselves. He went back to the crystals and after tampering with them for a minute the map changed from showing the cities to just two bright blips on the map, the college and a location far to the west. Upon seeing this the scholar grew into a fit matching to me yelling at me for disrupting his work, when I asked how I disrupted it he accused me for being a spy and sent here to make sure his work would not be finished. I tried to talk him out of the delusion he had created but none of my words could get through. In between the yelling I had heard him ask what we could have so power that it would disrupt everything, that's when the idea came to mind, that maybe just maybe the separate bright blip was somehow connected to the artifact, or if nothing else may shed some light on where I could find the staff. Before I could leave to report my findings the scholar blasted a wave of fire towards me, if it were not for the magic imbued into my shield taught to me by the vigilantes I may not have been able to come out in one piece, unfortunately now this man will not step down from his fighting stance, his flames kept coming, each wave getting blocked by my shield, it seemed to me that fighting was the only way out.. that was until my companion who had been hiding out behind the two of us casted his own spell, I'm not sure how he did it but the spell seemed to calm the scholar down, put him I na trance even, there was no need for blood shed on this day thanks to my friend, I will have to ask him about it in case I may be able to cast such a spell and prevent spilling blood needlessly.
Once I got back to the college something odd was happening, inside of the main halls had the artifact in the center, not only that but the advisor was hitting it with pure mana and erected a barrier between him and us. The head master was trying to get through but to no avail. It seemed that whatever is happening will be happening for awhile with nothing that we could do. The head master noticing this he turned to me and asked where the staff could be found, I told him about the map which he replied with only conformation, it seems that once when he was younger, he and a group of other mages thought they could take on the beast the lived there, unfortunately they failed and if the staff was in that area the creature would be sure to have it.
It was thus my new duty to go to this location and find out what could be there, before I left the head master gave me one last request, that I end the nightmare residing there once and for all and handed me the key to enter the labryth.
The road to the labryth was straight forward from the college, just a long track west and I would be there.
It's been a long nights travel to the labryth, it seemed almost like the means of the dead whistled through the cold night air, there were no inns throughout the trip, to survive the freezing nights my companion and I had to build a fire, it help stave the cold away but the nip was still there. It was times like this, when the air is still with only the noises from the west filling the air when we could really settle down without any distractions, my companion who had seen nearly every one of my battles yet was silent throughout the adventure, I truthfully nearly forgot about him though not for long as my enjoyment for his company grows fonder. We have never spoken about our pasts to each other, we have known only what is current to us both. To lighten the mood I pulled from my bag two bottles of ale, with the recent coin that I've been making from selling the trinkets I've collected i managed secure some funding, though I cant buy a house with it i can buy enough ale and food to keep us going on our journey. While we drank I asked my companion about his life and why he chose to accompany me through my journey, he stared at me for a moment, his drink resting in the snowy ground, before speaking.
"Long ago I was part of a group that wanted to control these lands." He told me. "I however did not share these views, I believed that no matter who controls land someone else would aswell, you can tell how true it is even now, this land for example once had a sun, it was once bright and the natives would laugh and enjoy the world even ruling amongst themselves, sure there were wars among cities but each house followed traditions, each house understood the value of human life and would not allow their people to suffer needlessly; though this was when declaring duals were a common tool to acquire something, be it land or money or even man power in the cases of so called wars. back then the wars were settled by the strongest, each house had their champion which was to be used in battle, these were honorable battles fought to pronounce who were truly the strongest and rarely ended in death, it was believed that if a warrior lives they may fight again but stronger, these warriors took that to heart and though there are those who'd call the cowards for leaving a battle, they always came back more preapred and ready for destruction. This was very prominent in the war with the empire. The people of this land have always settled things with individual strength and indeed they are very powerful warriors, but their ideals of living another day were their downfall. When the empire came they demanded the houses to stand down and become part of the empire. This demand was steadily refused by each house, in response they sent a single man to the empire, seven men in total approached the armies of the empire, these seven men are said to have ridden in on horse back, each carrying a spear as long as two men and a blade which gleams under the moonlight. These men rode up and faced the armies of the empire and demanded to face their strongest as tradition dictates. They say the laughter from the empires men were so great that even the furthest house heard them. Perhaps the empire felt generous on that day but they did send out their greatest warrior, a large man drenched in armor plating and wielding a large blade, this man towered all others, his blade the size of a man. He approached the warriors and said to them 'any man brave enough to stand before me do so now' and waited for their response. Silence came while they gauged their new opponent, never before had they believed such a giant could exist, but they were the strongest and they wanted to know he were truly as strong as he looked. Dismounting from their horses they held out their spears towards the mammoth of a man, once they took a step forward the giants sword flew through the air breaking through the lone of spears. It was known at that moment how difficult this man would be. Still they readied their swords for battle and charged, the giant sword came crashing down into the earth causing it to shake as the men ran down the beast. The beast was taking every blow they threw at him, it seemed that nothing was working, their blades could not penetrate his thick armor. That was until the youngest of the seven picked up a broken spear and thrown it straight into the giants eye, nothing else worked but this gave hope that if they kept trying they could pierce the giants flesh. Unbeknown to these men the empires soldiers drifted away from the fight, a small raiding party had formed and was heading to the nearby villages. As they fought the beast smoke filled the horizon, shock filled their bodies as they realized what had happened. The empire was not going to keep its word, the empire could not even wait for a dual to finish, it wouldn't matter if they fell to or killed the giant, the empire would still March forward. A storm had approached from the east limiting sight for all caught inside. The seven men, now certain defeat would come no matter what, mounted their horses and left for home.
Once they returned to their homes the vampires armies invaded meeting little resistance, though the people of these lands are strong they did not wish to fight. In the end the empire won the cities, the houses were destroyed and now even after 200 years the people of this land resent the empire for their betrayal to traditions, it was only recently that an actual army was formed here, a rebellion strikes out to return the people to how they once were. Only issue is new houses were formed, the empire allowed each city to govern itself but used the empire as a main branch, whichever law the empire declared forced the cities to adapt, because of this different factions have popped up, one one city is neutral for now, commonly the east supports the rebels and the west supports the empire. Just as I said before, no matter who owns the world, other people will own it too."
My companion told me this story, it was long and filled with history I hadn't known before, now the two waring states have a reason in my mind to fight, though it is still not a fight I want to be part of. No I am fighting another war, a war that's afflicting this land like a disease, the undead hordes will not rest until I force them to.
We awoke to the clattering of bones, we were surrounded by skeletons, each raising a blade to us, we had no choice but to surrender to them, atleast temporarily. Using their swords they commanded us to move forward, it seems the labryth had grown tired of waiting for us, as they marched us through its front gates. The place was amazingly huge, though broken down from old age the building still held true, wide open courtyards filled its center while walls surrounded us. This place was built like a fortress, indeed it must have been a truly amazing place back when it was built. The skeletons led us to a stairway, ontop was another wide space and a massive door. The skeletons commanded me to open the door, I'm not sure what they wanted ultimately but because our goals aligned even just for a moment, I decided to do as they said and used the key to unlock the door. As soon as I had unlocked the door a brilliant blinding flash of light broke through the cracks, the light was warm to the touch but felt wonderful in the snowy weather. When my sight returned I noticed piles of dust surrounding us, even the snow had melted away, I'm not sure what kind of power was behind the door but it had finished the skeletons without trouble.
On the other side of the door shadows gained form and spoke to one another.
"Are you sure this is safe?" Asked a female shadow. "Completly, all we have to do is get by a few traps and the magical power beyond our dreams will be at our finger tips." Replied an older shadow. "Let's just hurry up, this place is giving me the creeps." Another voice popped up, it was the same as the head masters, I wonder if this place keeps the past contained or if this illusion was nothing more than a spectacle, regardless I had to press on.
Further in was a long corridor, it seemed to have no end, why did the builders create such a long hall? My questions were abruptly interrupted as stepped into a large room, in its center layed the bones dragon, piles of humanoid bones lined the sides of the room, whatevers in here is certainly evil. A voice rang through the room, it felt as though I were drained upon hearing its words. "Why have you meyz wah dii place of rest?" Asked the voice, I could not understand half of its words, but called out myself. "We have come to retrieve a powerful staff, one to save the world!" The voice was silent for but a moment before returning with his statement. "Zu'u see.. if the staff los what you seek then prove wah me hin worth. Alok dovah Ahrk face this champion." Just as he finished his sentance the bones of the dragon began to move, piecing itself together as if it were entwined with magic to make it whole once more. I tried to blast the beast with the power of the sun but the voices effect still lingered, we would have to fight this beast blade to bone.
The dragon lifted its claws and threw its heavy hand into the ground shaking me off my feet, this beast was powerful and its mere strength rumbles the room. My companion and I charged the beast lunging into it's back and swinging our swords at the beasts bones, it was too thick, we were only able to dent the bones before kicked thrown off by its mighty strength. We were on the ground as the dragon opened its mouth, I saw only for a moment a small crystal object before ice began to form and fly towards us. The dragon is an ice dragon, capable of breathing ice, truly it is a beast I wish I had never met, I hate the cold.
The dragons taken a toll from my stamina, it took most of my remaining strength just to avoid the icy blast. Yet I was too slow, the ice caught my sword hand freezing it in place, I would have to get this ice off as soon as possible else risk losing a hand.
Once the dragon was finished I leapt back to my feet, i had only one chance to make it. The dragon opened its mouth wide once again and i broke into a sprint towards the dragons mouth leaping into its freezing mouth, my blade pointed forward piercing the dragons crystal heart.
I awoke soon after to my companion treating my wounds, I had frozen ice layered over my armor, but my move worked, the dragon was destroyed. My companion told me that we were granted permission to continue into its chambers, its seem we have impressed the master of this fortress.
Once my strength had returned we entered the royal chambers, it was a room very different from the one before, it was a long room, stair cases lined the walls allowing one to enter the second floor, directly in front of us layed a decaying body, on its head was a shiny golden crown, much too shiny to have been buried down here, and a staff with a similar yet much smaller orb on it as the artifact in the college.
We approached the decaying body wondering where the master of the fort could be, that was until we stepped up and saw that it had been staring at us the entire time. "Welcome champion, you have bested dii dovah Ahrk ful have nuz gein request." It replied, its jaws held together small tendrils of muscle, "A request?" I asked not sure of what else it had said. His voice rang out through the halls, though he appeared decrypt he was obviously powerful. "Yes, Ol you can see dii kopraan has grown.. unusable, zu'u require Aan new kopraan, hin fahdon here fen dreh.
Fen you consider Aan trade? hin companion for the staff." I am unsure if I will ever fully understand the request but I could fully understand the last part, it wanted my companion and in return I would have the staff. This discussion was over before it ever began. I swung my sword straight for this king, I cant have anyone trying to take my friend away let alone an undead monster who no doubt wants to terrorize the surrounding country. But my blade did not reach, instead it was blocked by a magical barrier. "You dare attack me? voth Aan silver tuz nid less. You fen dir for hin insolence." He yelled at me standing up from his throne, he pointed the staff at me blasting my body across the room, my companion upon seeing this attempted to strike at the monster but to no avail. The monster looked at him with what I could only describe as a smile before sending shocks through his body forcing his body to fall to the ground. "Zu'u fen kos taking him nu, the staff los yours." The monster said picking up his body and dropping the staff behind him. "If you still think you can beat me champion, go south Ahrk aav the dawngaurd, zu'u'll kos waiting for you." He said before a flash of light burst through the room, leaving behind nothing but a trail of smoke in its place. I swear to you my friend I will find you.
The trip back was quiet, sure I may have thr staff and can save the world, but without my friend it all seems dissolute now, yes it's an important quest but I will have to go south as soon as I can to save him, I must save him.
When i got to the college a barrier had been erected around building, the town was being attacked by strange magical beasts and the golden guardians had turned blue. I returned hastily to the headmaster with the staff and gave it to him, with it he says he can tear down the barrier erected by the advisor, it seemed the advisor was a little power hungry and wanted to have power, I curse those who seek nothing more than pure power.
With the staff in hand the head master blasted the barrier down, it was as simple as waving it around and sparks flew out, once down we marched into the college and found the advisor zapping his mana into the orb, the headmaster used the staff on the orb while I swung at the advisor. It seems that in this place of magicians they forgot other weapons existed as he did not stop the blade, it went straight through his arm, he seemed shocked at first but that shock quickly turned to terror as he tried to flee from me, to stop his greedy madness I pushed him down to the floor and pierced his heart with my blade.
It is over now, the headmaster congratulated me on a job well done and more people dressed as the man who keeps appearing before me and shown up to take the artifact away. It's all over now, they will protect the artifact and the world is saved, my job here is done. Now I must travel south to find my friend.
CHAPTER 4: THE BLOOD MIST CITY
I have arrived in a city which will continue to the south like I plan, for now though I will visit that girl I've seen long ago, I still may not have a home but now I have gold and I want her to have enough food to eat.
It was late when I entered town I had not expected a crowd to be gathered, it seems someone was murdered here, everyone is blaming the butcher, I guess the rumors from before were true and someone stalking the streets. I'll investigate further and see what is happening.
A guard stopped me as I approached the scene, he told me it was the inn wrenth that was murdered, he told me that this was the third murder and that they were all young females, I hope that child is okay, if nothing else stopping these murders may protect the girl.
I've spoken to the crowd but no one has seen anything, the guard has recommended that I see the guards captain to be placed on investigation. The guards must be really thin with the war if their letting a peasant do their job for them.
I've spoken to the captain and he has confirmed my suspicion, the guard is stretched very thin, I now have the support of the guard in my investigation, I just hope I wont be too late to stop him from killing again.
There was a blood trial leading away from the scene, I followed it and found myself in front of a house, it was locked so I was unable to get inside, I will ask the guard if they have a key to the building.
I traveled to the burial temple and asked if there was anything unusual about the body, it seems that there were some strange cuts on her that is made by embalming tools, it was odd to the grave keeper because she is the only one with those kinds of tools as far as she is aware. I'll find a way into the house and try to get more clues there, if it's the scene of the murder it may prove to hold valuable information.
I was told that the mother of the previous owner has the key to the building, unfortunately she is asleep right now, because I want to catch this murderer as soon as possible i will do something a little criminal to get in.
I managed to get inside, it was empty except for scattered furniture, blood stained the ground, I'll continue my investigation.
I found a strange amulet with a skull on its pendant under a pile of butcher awareness posters, it's an odd amulet but I feel the evil emanating from it. I'll find out what it is once my investigation is complete.
I searched the room further and found a wardrobe with a false door, what his behind it was a gruesome display. Various body parts filled the room, tools were on display, the same tools the grave keeper believed could have done it, an alter layed at the far end of the room, it had strange markings on it as if the killer was performing some gruesome act of magic. On it I found a journal. In the journal it read some sort of poem and an ingredient list of severed body parts, this sick monster must be performing some truly dark arts. I must stop them before it's too late.
I once more returned to the captain with both the necklace and the journal, he recommended that I talked to this man at a sort of museum, I'm forced to wait until morning when he opens, I'll try to find a bed in the inn for the night.
I was in luck, the inn keeper was finishing some late night tasks since her helper was murdered, when daylight comes I'll head straight for the museum, maybe grab some food on the way out.
The coordinator of the museum believes the amulet is a symbol of power to a court mage, I will speak to the court mage here and see what he knows of it.
As I was leaving the museum a strange noise filled the air, it was as if a large object came crashing down to the earth, I did not see any sign of such a thing and the residents seem oddly unresponsive to the noise.
I've spoken to the captain about the posters, he says someone has been putting them and that someone has been putting them down, I'll search for the one posting them, with luck they know who it could be.
I met with the girl who's been putting the posters up, she believes it's the court mage doing these acts and recommends I go straight to the captain, I however want to know for certain if this man is the criminal.
I spoke to the court mage who denies owning the amulet or books, he says necromancy is at work but that it is not his doing, in fact he says he is a member of the mages college which has not allowed necromancy for hundreds of years. He believes to know where the killer shall strike next, I will follow up on his belief but if he turns out to be lying to me i will find him.
I patrolled the streets at night but was a moment too late, I walking to the blacksmith when I heard cries for help, there I saw the museum keeper stabbing one of the shop keeps, it seems he was the murderer all along, once he spotted me he started running, I chased him all the way to the abandoned home where he pulled a knife on me, I tried to wrestle the blade away but it ended up in his chest. I have killed the killer, I must report this to the guard captain.
I reported it to the guard captain, he is only thankful that the killer is gone, I suppose now is the time to leave town but only after I find the girl, I have not seen her yet and really want to, atleast one last time before I leave the north.
I found her, I'm glad that she is okay but I dont like the condition that she's in, she sleeps on the ground in the cold night. I cant believe she has to withstand such frost when she's not allowed in the tavern. I'm staying by her side for the night and giving her my cape and face mask so that she may keep warm, I wish to ask her to join me but life on the road is no life for a child.

It’s more than what you “SEE”
White uniform, cap and a nameplate. Three things you see us wear daily as we start to face our busy long day. Yup, busy long day, even if we only work 8 hours per day and only get paid of that 8 hours, we worked more than what we have been paid off. Nope, we’re not complaining but it’s the truth, it’s our reality.
THE CHALLENGE February, I started. So excited with my once again wearing white uniform. Met new people and friends even some were not, actually. But most of them were friendly, atleast. First 3 months yey, I feel like I’m ready for what I decided to enter in. I am ready to be called who I really am. When I got hired I told myself, here I am, this is it, something I can be proud of. I thought, it was just like that. So easy, I can do it, I am ready. But hey, the excitement faded away on my first day, as a staff. That day when I had to write my name and put my signature on the patient’s chart. Yes, that signature does not only shouts my profession, but also says hey yeah gurl, you are responsible for whatever may happen there. Wooooot!
It’s true, in our profession there is no room for mistakes. And saying SORRY (which I murdered many times🤣) is not acceptable for some whom you committed wrong; but really it depends on the situation. When you got someone killed, then yes your sorry will be the end of your career. Come to think of it, lives is what we cater, that’s what lies on our hands everyday. So it takes a lot to be on our shoes. A lot of courage to take daily responsibility of the lives of the people we do take care of in the area. One wrong step and you’ll bring harm to the person you are responsible of. Everyday, I was afraid that I get someone hurt of my poor skills and the little knowledge I carry. For no matter how hard I study, I can’t seem to find all the needed knowledge to ensure the safety of my clients. But thank God I harmed no one in the entire course of me being a staff. Then I concluded, that it is not just the knowledge we gained from school nor the skills we learned from our seniors, but it is the sincerity in us to carry our duties with honesty and humility that will make us safe and our clients. Yes, honest enough to admit that we lack knowledge of something and humble enough to seek help from the people more experienced than us. And I was blessed, truly blessed to have been guided by people who were willing to share the skills and wisdom they have gained in the battle field of their career. Techniques, that’s what most of them call it. Techniques that makes your work look a lot easier than it actually is.
People, you have no idea how sacrificing to be in the path we have chosen. Relatives complain so much why nurses were too slow to attend their needs. We’re human beings not superheroes and we don’t get things done in just a blink of an eye. We get things done in prioritization, with the wisdom we have been given and the skills we have been trusted to. So please be good to us, as we are compassionate to you. Be patient to us as well as we are to you. We do understand your worries but do understand us too, that it is not only YOU who needs us, it is everyone confined in the area. As we give you our time to attend your needs, allow us to do it, to others as well.
SECRET PRAYERS As a christian, I was taught on how to release healing to sick individuals (in the supernatural aspect). And I have seen people who got healed. Yup, witnessed it with my eyes wide opened and I had conversations with them and heard their testimonies. But. Yes there is this BUT in the area of my workplace. We don’t do that, unless I got the boldness then I will be able to release the Kingdom of Heaven which brings this healing I was taught of. Well, I tried once thrice in the secret of all the secretest way possible. I had prayed over someone and released heaven to that family. Yey, finally I did once. And they asked me what church I was attending. When I mentioned the name of my church they feel like we’re family. They know the church and our senior pastor and told me they attended a conference at Cuneta Astrodome hosted by our church and I was an usher then. So, that explains why they look familiar to me, maybe I have seen them there. It brought my heart so much joy to know that atleast I had once the boldness to give away the love and power of healing that Jesus is readily made availble for everyone who receives. Asking of what happened to that family? I don’t know. I got pulled out to that area where they got admitted and had no more time to be back and check on them. The only thing I knew was, they were happy and got discharged. Yup, I am sure, saw the mother at the lobby on the day before they went home.
Another healing happened at room 07. Shhhhh…won’t give you more details. Just room 07. We provide primary care, so this woman at room 07 was my patient, just my patient. She was crying due to pain. So what I did was, referred it to the ROD (resident doctor on duty). And they ordered hot compress. Yey! Absolutely, with the magic of hot water bag, this pain will go away in an instant. Well, it might work or maybe not. So since she was already crying, I placed my hand on her “assessing” where the pain is (but I was actually praying, declaring healing, rebuking pain and commanding it to depart in Jesus name). When I was done. After few seconds I asked, “how are you ma’am? Is the pain still there?” She answered, “not anymore, it’s a bit painful but now tolerable”. And she looked at me with so much relief in her eyes. Yaaay! In my head I was shouting “Hallelujahs” haha! That was the power of healing from Jesus, our Healer. We can’t provide healing but we can be vessels.
NO FOR NOW Yes, it is always more than what you see. Things like that happened too, I never mentioned that to someone else than myself. But there’s another side of the story. Come on, as you know nothing can be done so easily, it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to remain on the shoes we chose to wear. Everyday, our health is in great danger. Hahaha honestly, it really is. Don’t you think a patient’s illness can’t be that contagious? We wear protective equipments but sometimes it sabotage us too. But we love YOU, our dear clients (or should I say, we love our job), so even if there is a great probability that we get (the illness) what you guys have, we can’t say no and happily embrace you in our care instead, knowingly that our health can be compromised. For me, I don’t wanna quit, I love you and I love my job but I love my body too. So when I had found the courage to say NO, I did it without regret. The NO for NOW.
For me, my health is my wealth. And I am a dreamer. So, how could I see them get fulfilled if my health get compromised? I made a decision, something that made me value what I have even more. The decision that changed me, somehow. But I am happy. The work was tiring (no not my clients, for I value them and I love taking care of them, but it is the work itself). My body got tired and my emotions got affected. Everyday, as I feel the pain in my chest or whenever I had shortness of breath or my vertigo attacks, emotionally, I get weak. No, they didn’t notice for I always choose to smile and be bubbly. But inside, I was crying, “oh God, no”, I feel like giving up though I don’t have really the intentions to. I tried as long as I can, to be strong and say, “this I can do, this I want to do, this surely I will get through”. But. No. I don’t know. Every morning I worry too much for my health. A lot of things about my health and more overwhelms my head. And that day when I decided to surrender, my emotion wasn’t the only thing affected then, the spiritual aspect of my life was hit too. That, I can longer stand; it is my strength, it is my foundation, it is my life and it is the part of me that I don’t want to crumble. When that side of me dies, I will get paralyze. And I don’t want that to happen. That part of me is what I value so much, it is not being religious that I don’t want my spirituality to crumble. It is not just my beliefs, but it is my relationship to the ONE who loves me the most. The one who sees me in the darkness, and hears my every whisper. Someone who wiped every tear and filled my heart with joy. That, I cannot stand to lose. I can still fight and go on even if I was physically ill and my emotions got weakened but if my spiritual life (the only reason I can win a battle) begin to crumble, that, I cannot stand to watch. So I decided to quit my job to protect the other part of me: my health and my wealth.
REST IN THE PRESENCE Many of us also went through this season of their life. A time to choose which to give up and which to keep. I wanted to rest the reason why I quit. REST is the word I used when I said goodbye. For I wanted my body to be healthier. But as days passes by I realised it wasn’t a rest for my body that I needed. It was a REST IN THE PRESENCE. Resting in His presence. That’s exactly what I needed.
Three days after I rendered my resignation, I had flu. And 2 weeks after, I suffered from severe chest pains that radiates to my shoulder, side and back. I had chills, maybe due to pain (pain scale of 12/10) headaches, nausea and vomiting and fever. I even had blood tinge sputum several times. I couldn’t sleep and pain medications gave no relief. I was rushed to the emergency room, for the pain worsens everytime I breathe and move. I don’t know what was wrong in my body. I was given pain reliever injection (that I expected would be effective, I used to administer that to my post-op clients at the hospital, so I know its effect). Pain went down to 7/10. So I thought, I can get a good sleep then, but after two hours here comes the pain again, 12/10. I can not move from side to side so I had to sleep in high fowler’s position. First time in my life that I had this kind of pain and slept that way. I thought that would be the end of me. When I consulted a pulmonologist after three days, the chest x-ray result revealed that I had pneumonia and pleural effusion. But praise God, she wanted to treat me at home so she just prescribed oral medications and some laboratory tests. Her diagnosis was pneumonia versus tubercolusis. Oh my God. As I recalled, the last patients I handled had pneumonia and the other one had tubercolusis. But I wore masks, an N95 mask so how could I acquire it then? Well, I was exposed, really; dirty cases were the ones I usually handle. In the station I was assigned, we’re so lucky to have in the area the post ICU patients, who were positive in klebsiella, pseudomonas, candidiasis and so on. They were our CONTACT precaution clients. But we’re happy to serve them even if when the protective equipments we wear can sabotage us. That’s our job, you clients are irresistible; we don’t have a choice. Going back, oral pain medications wasn’t able to cease the pain not until I started the oral antibiotics. I went on a 7 days treatment and waited for the laboratory tests results. Went back to my doctor for a follow up. And thank God, my repeat chest x-ray revealed a more clearer lung now. And though I was cleared from tubercolusis, she was surprised to know that the sputum gram-stain, culture and sentivity result revealed that I had acquired many microorganisms and was wondering where did I get those. I just smiled and said, “got it maybe from my previous work doc”.
As I had mentioned, REST was the reason I used to resign. Because of all what I was suffering from that time, I really had to rest. I feel like my health is deteriorating and I need some time to let it heal and regain strength. But as days passed by, I started to realised that it was not my body that needs rest. It was my spiritual life. I need to rest in the presence of God. My busyness at work had allowed my spirit to dry up. If my physical body weakened and got ill, my spirit became malnourished, I forgot to feed my soul on Sundays (or even if I wanted to, I can’t for my day off always fall on a weekday or Saturday). I fed my body with all the food I can buy but was not able to feed my soul because I was too busy at work. It was my fault, I can’t put all the blame with my schedule and tired body that I can’t even pray and read my bible. It was me, it was me who forgot to rest in the presence. I forgot, that my spiritual life is the most important. That I can stand against all odds when I am spiritually healthy. When my spirit started to feel weak, my body deteriorates. Something I only realized 3 weeks after I resigned from work. If I’m going to look back why I suffered from all of these: the chest pains, vertigo attacks, shortness of breath and even headaches and nausea and vomiting, I think I know why. Because I had forgotten to bend my knees in prayer and ask for a protection from Daddy God. When I was feeling all these almost everyday, I decided that I really had to let go of this job. I love you (job) but I love me. I feared of losing my health, I was afraid I’ll be in great trouble if I still keep my job. So I chose to let go. And chose to REST IN THE PRESENCE of God instead.
SWEET SEASON OF PEACE When I got sick and was confined on bed for few days, uncapable to do anything, I was able to find enough time to soak in the presence of God and read the bible. Now that I have all the time in the world I no longer have excuses not to spend time in my prayer closet. And revelations start to come, his love is pouring out like a rain and his joy is flowing like a fountain. In this season of rest all my worries were gone and I totally have found peace. I’m not saying that I didn’t have peace of mind when I was working. But this peace I’m having now is something different. All the pain I was experiencing then left me when I began to sit with God. This may sound corny and exaggerated to many but it’s the truth. I don’t know about you, but the God I’m talking here is alive and capable of releasing wondrous things to those who believed.
Lesson Learned: No matter how busy life gets; we must always find time to sit with God. For no matter how good we think we are; no matter how well we think we are; life will always begin and end with God. So in whatever we do, include God.
