Luffy, Robin, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Nami, Franky, Smoker, Tashigi, Sengoku, Sengoku’s goat ;) Notes: I’m taking my turn at the Corazon!Law AU because my brain won’t leave me alone until this is written down. Summary: Law is reclaimed by the Family when he's 17 and, with Doflamingo holding the lives of his crew as collateral for his good behavior, eventually becomes the third Corazon. Years later, trapped by his impossible situation, Law finds a strange connection to Monkey D. Luffy, which offers a glimpse of something he's repeatedly had ripped away from him: hope.

Law slowly came awake, having slept the dreamless sleep he only ever had after draining himself to the point of unconsciousness. He grimaced before slitting his eyes open; his body ached, his mouth was cottony, and his head throbbed. As the fuzzy world came into focus around him, he realized he was on the couch. He frowned. When had that happened? The last thing he remembered was sitting with Luffy on the floor…
He threw a hand over his face and groaned as he remembered that Luffy was the one who’d found him during his panic attack. Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin were the only ones he allowed to see him like that; they’d seen him at his worst when Cora-san’s death was still a gaping wound, and his body was still marred with Amber Lead. They’d been there for the screaming nightmares and suffocating panic attacks. For anyone else to see him that way…
Well, Law hadn’t been able to afford such shows of weakness around the Family.
But Luffy had simply smiled and offered that he had his own demons as well.
Law swallowed, unsure of what to do with that bit of kindness. It settled uncomfortably somewhere behind his breastbone.
Taking a breath, he pushed himself upright and glanced around. Luffy was nowhere to be seen. Vergo’s body was also gone. That meant someone—likely Marines—had come in while Law was sleeping to remove it. The idea of being defenseless while Marines were in the room made his stomach turn. Yet they’d left him alone, undoubtedly on Smoker’s orders.
Shaking his head, Law grabbed Kikoku from where she’d been placed on the table and pocketed his Den Den Mushi. He had no idea what time it was—and there were no windows in this metal monstrosity of a lab to give him any hints—but if the Marines had removed Vergo’s body, there was a good chance the back-up ship had arrived, meaning it was morning.
Rather than aimlessly wander around the lab, Law reached out with his haki to look for the Straw Hats… and was immediately struck by the overwhelming presence of Luffy. After a moment, he was able to discern the chaotic energies of the other Straw Hats as well; they were gathered a few halls over. The Marines, including Smoker and his second, were on the other side of the lab, near the entrance. He could sense more Marines than he thought had been there previously, which seemed to confirm his suspicion.
Law left the control room and followed his haki. The closer he got to the gathered group, the stronger the smell of cooking food became—which made perfect sense when he found the crew in the dining hall.
“Torao, good morning!” Luffy called, waving his hand as though Law wouldn’t be able to pick him out from the small group. They were all seated at one long table that they seemed to have pieced together from several smaller tables.
“Straw Hat-ya,” Law greeted with a sigh, head already aching from the enthusiasm. Whatever time it was, it was too early for this.
“Sanji’s cooking breakfast. I hope there’s lots of meat!” Luffy said, eyes glazing over.
“Of course, you do,” the cat burglar said, rolling her eyes. She then turned and looked Law up and down without any hint of subtlety. “There’s coffee in the kitchen,” she said, lips twitching.
Law considered flipping her off, but coffee sounded amazing, so he simply nodded and headed back to the kitchen, where Black Leg was working. He raised an eyebrow at Law’s presence.
“Coffee?” Law grunted.
Black Leg nodded and broke off from the task he was doing—scrambling eggs, from the looks of it—and poured a cup of coffee.
“Take anything with it?”
Law shook his head, accepting the undoctored mug of precious caffeine.
Black Leg snorted. “Why am I not surprised?”
Law shrugged and took a sip. The bitter liquid burned at his scratchy throat, and it was heavenly.
“Any dietary restrictions?” Black Leg asked as he went back to the meal.
“No bread.”
Black Leg hummed. “Gluten allergy or just not a fan?”
“Gluten,” Law acknowledged around sips.
Black Leg nodded. “I can work with that.” He turned to another task but looked over his shoulder at Law. “Tell those idiots it’s almost ready, will you?”
Law took that as being kicked out of the kitchen, so he jerked his head in a nod and grudgingly returned to the rowdy collection of remaining Straw Hats.
“It’s almost ready,” Law relayed as he sat down at the end of the table, as far from Luffy as he could place himself. He could still feel a crawling sensation under his skin as he thought about the night before, and sitting as far away from its source while he worked through his thoughts seemed like his best bet.
“Was there meat?” Luffy asked, mouth practically watering.
“There’s always meat, you shitty piece of rubber,” Black Leg said as he brought several platters of food out from the kitchen.
After dropping off the platters, Black Leg went back to the kitchen several more times and returned with an impressive array of breakfast foods for the crew to share. The remaining Straw Hats, particularly those seated close to Luffy, seemed to have a well-practiced system in place to eat their meals while avoiding Luffy stealing from their plates, including knocking their captain upside the head when he got too close. Luffy merely grinned and laughed before returning to his own heaping plate.
Law managed to grab some eggs and fruit amidst the melee, and, as he ate, he considered how different the dynamic was from his own crew’s. Though, Law supposed with no little regret, he hadn’t eaten with them with any regularity in the last few years. Ever since Shachi’s injury, Law’s guilt had pushed him away from his nakama, and, when he did eat, he usually ended up eating alone or with the Family—Sunday dinners, for instance, were required for every executive who was not away on a mission. Though the Family was hectic in its own way, manners were still expected—and not just because their captain was also a king. Table manners had been preached even when Law had been with the Family at Spider Miles; just because they were pirates did not mean they were savages, Doffy had said, and they were expected to act like it.
That had made a lot more sense when Law had learned that Doffy was a former Celestial Dragon—many of his quirks had come into focus with that information, in fact.
It had also been revealing about Cora-san, though Law hadn’t been entirely ready to open that Pandora’s Box, despite knowing about it for six years.
“How did you sleep last night, Torao-kun?”
Law started, pulled from his thoughts by Nico Robin’s smiling face across the table from him.
“Luffy went looking for you last night after dinner, but then he didn’t come back until this morning,” she elaborated, still smiling.
The expression set Law’s teeth on edge. He narrowed his eyes, certain that she was screwing with him. “Fine,” he said curtly then deliberately took a sip of coffee, hoping to discourage the conversation. Still. Did that mean Luffy had stayed? He was obviously the one who had moved Law to the couch, and that was humiliating enough, but the thought that the other captain had stayed with him…
Law’s eye twitched.
But Nico Robin just kept smiling. “That’s good to hear. After all, we’re heading to Dressrosa today.”
Law put his cup down slowly. “Yes,” he agreed, not sure what she was getting at.
“We’ll need everyone to be at their best to face Doflamingo,” she said, expression never changing. “I’ve heard the rumors about him.”
“Until tomorrow, little bird.”
“He’s worse than any rumor,” Law ground out before pushing himself up and away from the table. He grabbed Kikoku, knuckles going white from his grip. He needed air.
“Torao?” Luffy called after him, but he ignored the other captain, practically fleeing the room.
Recalling the blueprints of the lab, he navigated the hallways to the front entrance and practically exploded out the door, stumbling onto the front stoop as he shoved the door open with more force than needed. He put a hand against the wall and sagged, sucking in lungfuls of icy air, the cold tamping down on the heat that had risen in his face and helping him to collect himself.
After a few more deep breaths, he felt his head clear, and he looked out over the island. He’d been so caught up in his own mind that he hadn’t noticed the Marine vessel being loaded in the port a few hundred yards away. He shook his head; he needed to get his shit together if he was going to deal with Doflamingo today.
Law leaned back against the wall and crossed his arms against his chest, watching various Marines scurry about like little insects whose nest had been disturbed while others barked orders.
After a few minutes of Law watching his men, Smoker climbed the steps and took a seat on the top step, leaving distance between himself and Law.
As the two watched in silence, several soldiers marched the chained Caesar and Monet toward the ship. Caesar continued making high-pitched protests—“Do you know who I am?”, “Do you know who you’re messing with?” and the like—while Monet remained silent. As if drawn to Law, she turned and their eyes met briefly, that look of betrayal still in her gaze. Then she was pushed along toward the ship and the connection broke.
Law exhaled, only then realizing he’d been holding his breath.
Once Doflamingo learned of their arrests as well as of Vergo’s death—he had more spies in the Marines than just Vergo, though even Law didn’t know all their identities—he would undoubtedly retrieve his subordinates and Vergo’s body. He would leverage his connections, and even the Fleet Commander couldn’t refuse the Gorosei.
Law could only hope he’d receive that news once Law and his nakama had escaped Dressrosa.
“What will you do now?” Smoker asked as they watched a string of Caesar’s men, buoyed by strange balloon devices, escorted to the ship by another group of soldiers. “Doflamingo will kill you if you return to Dressrosa.”
That… was not actually true; Law might wish he were dead if Doffy got wind of his betrayal before he and his crew could flee, but he would live until he performed the Perennial Youth Operation. Only then would he be allowed to die—for the sake of Doffy’s immortality. No, it would be his nakama (and Luffy’s crew, now that the crazy captain had decided to involve himself in Law’s affairs) who would pay the ultimate price. But Smoker didn’t need to know that.
Law raised an eyebrow at Smoker’s back. “Why do you care, White Chase-ya? I’m just a no-good pirate.”
“Maybe I don’t like being in debt to pirates,” Smoker retorted. “And if you die, I can’t pay it back.”
Law snorted. “Apologies if my impending death is inconvenient for your conscience.”
Smoker grumbled in response.
They sat in silence for several more minutes, and, surprisingly, it wasn’t an uncomfortable silence. Smoker seemed to have come to some kind of conclusion about Law, and Law simply had too much on his mind to bother with antagonizing the vice admiral. And, if Law were being honest with himself, while he hated the Marines on principle for their part in Flevance’s fall, Smoker was one of the few who had ever shown even an inkling of honor; it was a very grudging sense of respect he found budding toward the vice admiral.
They watched the ship’s continued loading until the lab’s door opened once more, and the Straw Hats spilled out onto the stoop. Law noticed two more figures had joined the group: Kin’emon the samurai and a boy dressed in similar garb. A son? They had shied off to the side of the group on the other side of the doorway from Law.
“Oh, there you are, Torao!” Luffy said, spying Law off to the side. “And Smokey!”
“Straw Hat,” Smoker grumbled, pushing himself to his feet.
“Where are the children?” the cat burglar asked, putting her hands on her hips.
“Tashigi is with them,” Smoker said.
“Well, we’re not leaving until we see them off,” Chopper added, coming up next to his crewmate at the front of the group, doing his best to sound authoritative.
Smoker lip curled in annoyance, but he was saved from having to reply by the emergence of the captain and the children from a side entrance of the lab. The swordswoman, with a bright voice and wide smile, directed the children toward the ship. The children laughed and jumped around as they boarded the ship.
“Tashigi!” Smoker called.
The swordswoman looked up from her charges and took in the group standing next to the vice admiral. After murmuring something to the remaining children waiting to board, she headed over to the lab steps.
“Smoker-san,” she greeted.
“These idiots won’t leave until they know the children are taken care of. Tell them where we’re taking them.”
Long Nose and the cyborg protested at being called idiots, but the cat burglar and Chopper ignored them. Their eyes were focused on the swordswoman.
“We’re taking them to be treated by Vegapunk himself,” the captain replied, adjusting her glasses. “He’s agreed to look at the long-term effects of the drugs and work on a treatment. Once they’ve received the care they need, we’ll take them all home. We’re also in the process of contacting their families.”
“That’s a relief,” Chopper said, smiling.
The swordswoman looked at the cat burglar. “I meant what I said earlier; I will protect the children with my life!”
The cat burglar nodded, her expression softening. “I know. Thank you.”
The two women shook hands, and the captain glanced at her superior before heading back to the ship. The children were making their way onto the deck of the ship, calling at the Straw Hats with their thanks. Law was startled to hear even a few thanks hollered in his direction. Considering he hadn’t wanted to get caught up with the children in the first place, he didn’t think he deserved any.
Smoker shook his head and glanced back at the gathered group, eyes meeting Law’s one final time, before he headed back to the ship, corralling the remaining soldiers who had yet to board. The Straw Hats waved as the ship eventually pushed off from the dock and set sail.
“All right!” Luffy called out, grabbing the attention of his crew. “Let’s go! On to Dressroba!”
“Dressrosa,” Law grumbled.
“Shishishi,” Luffy chuckled. “Whatever. Let’s go take down that Mingo!”
He headed off in the direction of the Thousand Sunny, and the rest of the group followed—including Kin’emon and the boy, Law noted. He’d have to account for their presence in his plan. Luffy continued chattering on, mostly to Zoro and Long Nose, though he’d turn back every now and then to meet Law’s eye with a grin.
As they walked, the cat burglar came up next to Law. “I can navigate using the maps we found in the lab, but if you have a better way…”
Law reached into a pocket on the inside of his coat and pulled out an Eternal Pose for Dressrosa. It was the same one Doffy had given Law nearly a decade earlier in the North Blue. He carried it on every mission away from the island. For a moment, Law’s grip tightened on the wooden frame as he considered that there was a good chance neither he nor his nakama would ever leave that island again. Swallowing, he forcibly loosened his fingers and offered it to her. Her eyes lit up.
“That will make things easier!” She looked at the pose for a moment then glanced back at Law. “You said it should take half a day?”
“Yes.”
The cat burglar—Nami—peered up at the sky and narrowed her eyes consideringly before shaking her head. “We’ll have to get further away from the conditions on this weird island before I can get a sense of the weather.”
“Dressrosa is a summer island,” Law supplied. “The weather is rarely poor around it.”
Nami hummed thoughtfully. “That’s promising.”
Law hesitated before adding, “Avoid skies with clouds as much as possible.”
“Why?” Black Leg asked from Law’s other side. He took a drag on his cigarette and raised a curious eyebrow.
Law glanced at him before turning back to Nami. “Doflamingo can use his Devil Fruit to travel in the skies. He uses clouds to do it. If he has any suspicion that I’ve betrayed him, he’ll be out looking for me.”
“Will he have any suspicion?” Black Leg asked as Nami’s eyes widened.
“I… don’t know.” Law had played the call over in his mind repeatedly and still did not know if Doffy had been bluffing. Even if he hadn’t been, there was no telling how quickly he’d hear from his Marine spies about what had happened on Punk Hazard. “Best to assume he does.”
Black Leg pursed his lips but didn’t say anything.
Once they boarded the Thousand Sunny, the Straw Hats spread out to complete their respective jobs for setting sail. Law leaned back against the wall and was joined by Kin’emon and the boy as they stayed out their hosts’ way. Law and the samurai eyed one another. Law didn’t know anything about Kin’emon, other than, as a samurai, he was likely from Wano and that Doffy wanted him kept alive. If Kin’emon was from Wano, Law idly wondered if Doffy’s orders about the man came from Kaido but put the thought out of his mind; it didn’t matter to the task at hand.
Once the Thousand Sunny had pulled away from Punk Hazard and started toward Dressrosa, Law’s Eternal Pose pointing the way, the Straw Hats reconvened on the lawn in the center of the ship. They turned to Law.
“Tell us, Torao-kun,” Nico Robin said, speaking for her crew. “What awaits us in Dressrosa?”
Law took a steadying breath and started to speak.
-----
Two Days Later
Smoker found the Inspector General in his favorite spot, a perch overlooking New Marineford, absently sharing snacks with his beloved goat. He hadn’t been entirely surprised to receive a summons from Marine HQ after the prisoners he’d brought in and the damning report he’d filed about another vice admiral, but he thought this might be a bit more personal, considering the source.
“Inspector General,” Smoker greeted as he came to a stop next to the seated man.
“Smoker,” Sengoku replied, nodding at him.
“You wanted to see me?”
“Ah, yes,” Sengoku said, adjusting his glasses briefly. “I read your report about the events on Punk Hazard.”
Smoker’s original report had been heavily edited so that the official report had, much like the Alabasta report, given him far more credit than he deserved for what had transpired. It also whitewashed some of the uglier truths Smoker had learned about the base commander of G-5 and the experiments being conducted on the island. But Smoker had a feeling Sengoku was referring to the unedited version. Semi-retired or not, a man like Sengoku would have his ways of getting his hands on that document.
“Sir,” Smoker said neutrally.
Sengoku offered his goat a cracker before glancing at Smoker. “You don’t seem pleased at the accolades being thrown your way for uncovering a traitor so high in the ranks.”
Smoker snorted. “If you read my report, you know I didn’t uncover shit. Sir.”
Sengoku nodded, absently scratching behind the goat’s ears. “Corazon revealed Vergo’s true nature.”
So, he had read the unedited version. “Yes.”
“Tell me, Smoker,” Sengoku said, something careful about his tone that Smoker couldn’t quite place. “What were your impressions of Vice Admiral Vergo? Before this? You worked alongside him at G-5.”
“I thought he was a good leader and a good soldier,” Smoker admitted. “I respected him.” He’d had no reason to suspect the man; his reputation was spotless, and the men of G-5 admired him. It grated on him that he hadn’t noticed the rat. Surely there had been something amiss that Smoker had missed…
But, no. Vergo’s act had been flawless.
Sengoku nodded thoughtfully. “And Corazon killed him.”
“Yes.”
“And what did you make of that, Vice Admiral?”
Smoker frowned. “What do you mean?”
“The second in command of the Donquixote Pirates killing a particularly important spy for his own crew among Marine ranks. Surely that was surprising to you.”
Smoker, even in his unedited report, had skirted around what he’d heard about Corazon’s history. He wasn’t sure why he was keeping the man’s secrets other than the debt he owed him, but something hadn’t sat right in his chest when he’d attempted to make note of all he’d heard. He’d learned to trust his instincts over the years, and they’d told him he’d be better served holding onto that information. Even—maybe especially—the Marines were prone to politics, and Smoker knew that information could be leveraged. He found the fact distasteful, but it was true nonetheless.
But those same instincts were also telling him now that Sengoku was the right person to tell, considering his personal connection to the Donquixote Pirates. It was known amongst the longest-serving Marines that Sengoku’s adopted son had been killed by the Donquixote Pirates while on an undercover mission infiltrating them. Smoker had never met Rosinante, but he’d seen the plaque on the wall of fallen soldiers.
“There seemed to be bad blood between them,” Smoker said after coming to his decision. He didn’t have a full sense of what he’d witnessed between the two men, but he knew enough about long-standing grudges to recognize one when he saw it. “Going back a long way.”
Corazon couldn’t be older than his mid-twenties but had held the title of Corazon for half a decade. Only someone who’d been with the Family for a long time could have risen to second in command—Doflamingo only surrounded himself with the best, which was part of what made his crew so dangerous—so for Corazon to have risen so high so at such a young age likely meant he’d been with them as a child. It was common knowledge that the Family recruited children and raised them to be loyal soldiers, so that would not have been surprising.
The slightest twitch in Sengoku’s eyebrow told Smoker that he was on the right track. Considering the timeline, then, there was a good chance Corazon knew Sengoku’s son and might have answers about the circumstances surrounding his death, which had remained under high level security clearance in the years since. Most Marine lifers felt Sengoku had never truly moved past Rosinante’s death (though they’d never say it in the man’s earshot), but now perhaps he could get some answers—especially if Corazon was attempting to leave the Family and had no reason to keep their secrets any longer.
“I see,” Sengoku finally said, offering the goat another cracker. He offered the bag to Smoker wordlessly, but Smoker shook his head.
Smoker hesitated only a moment before adding, “Corazon let something slip during the fight.”
Sengoku simply nodded at him to continue, obviously recognizing Smoker had left whatever it was out of his report.
“I think he’s a survivor of the White City.”
Sengoku paled, though Smoker had a feeling it wasn’t for the reason most did when Flevance was mentioned. He’d been Fleet Admiral when commands had come from above even him to wipe out the country and everyone in it due to the highly contagious Amber Lead Disease that was killing entire generations.
It was genocide and a shame on any Marine with a sense of honor.
“There were no survivors,” Sengoku said finally, voice curiously choked off.
And even if anyone had managed to escape the slaughter, they should have died years earlier due to Amber Lead Disease. But somehow, Corazon hadn’t.
The more he thought about it, the more Smoker had a feeling it had to do with that Devil Fruit of his. The Ope-Ope no Mi was a miracle surgery fruit, after all.
“There seems to be at least one,” Smoker replied, remembering the fury in Corazon’s voice as he’d railed against what had happened to his family and his home, sheer rage taking over the normally composed man. It was clearly a slip he regretted making, considering the way his expression had soured once he’d realized what he’d said. “It sounded like his parents were doctors, but they were killed with everyone else when Flevance fell. Including a sister.”
Sengoku ran a hand over his face, suddenly looking his age. “I see,” he said after a long moment. He turned to Smoker and gave him a wan smile. “Thank you for telling me.”
The dismissal was clear, but Smoker had one more thing to add. “The traitor, Vergo, didn’t call Corazon by his title. He used a name.”
Sengoku raised an eyebrow. “Oh?”
“He didn’t use a surname. But he called Corazon Law.”
“Law,” Sengoku murmured, as though trying out the name.
Smoker left Sengoku with the name on his tongue, wondering what the former Fleet Admiral would do with the information but deciding it was above his paygrade.

get to know the author
got tagged by mfin @grassepi like 10 days ago to do this!!!!!! /dab/
long ass post under the cut
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
i explain this so often man its a trip. ‘jam’ came from simlish in the sims 3 because of that one voice line that’s like ‘jambabedo?’. i had changed my name to that on skype but when i was VCing with @namerine she could only see ‘jam’ and it kinda just stuck. speaking of: the ‘dingus’ part also came from her so literally this name is all because of her and i love her *fingerguns*
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos).
by FAR my most popular fic is my collection of sickfics: In Sickness and Health
the only thing that it got beat in was comments from Close to the Heart, but that’s mostly just because it had so many mfin chapters
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
b a b y y o s h i
i literally cant remember how i found this picture or why i chose it as my icon but its my Brand now. yoshi jamthedingus is me
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
i literally have so many. there’s @space-peachx, @bears-again, @narwhalsarefalling, @ravenssama, and @miishiiwrites (for some reason it wasnt letting me tag ur main asldhasd) plus a SHIT ton of anon commentors who i love just as dearly!!! i have a lot more but these are the most common commenters and i love them sm i could literally die.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
there are like three fics like that and ofc im gonna list them all
hands down the fic i’ve reread the MOST in the shortest period of time is Sunset in Reverse by @demenior (who i cannot tag for some reason but i hope they know that i love their fic dearly)
there’s this i n c r e d i b l e sickfic by @bosstoaster that i just adore called Drown Out Your Mind that just breaks my heart all types of ways
and there’s this OTHER fic that also fucks me up called strength of the small by @nowweareunstoppable in which pidge is bad ass and also gets fucked up and i literally rec it to all my friends i love it so much
(also a special shoutout to been @velkynkarma‘s Whisper in the Dark. whenever i have the need for a good creepin’ out i LOVE to revisit this one because like... just the description of the Final Boss (tm) alone is enough to give me the willies)
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
oof
i have 449 bookmarks from like atleast 10 different fandoms, and about 411 fics i’m subscribed to, give or take a couple because Math. most of them are completed though, but i don’t go through and take them off because i’m a lazy hoe
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
well i just looked up my ao3 and it says i have the most in ‘Alternate Universe - Video Game World’ asjdhsaldhsja aka my mmo au. but technically i think the au i write the most is Modern bc i’m but a simple farmer with a limited mindscape
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
i have 22 user subscriptions vs 199 work subscriptions + 383 bookmarks in total. nice nice nice
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
probably something with a more serious tone (compared to the fluffy wuffy fics i write) like, for example, fatphobia, suicide, and literally just conflict in general. i always feel like im trivializing all of it no matter how hard i try so i just... Give Up because i dont want the backlash ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
i really want to get better at writing conflicts, as stated above lajhdlsadhls. but also i want to be better at planning out stories because i usually give up near the 3/4ths point of literally every multi-chaptered thing i’ve written
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
definitely rarepairs. voltron is like the biggest fandom i’ve ever been in and my biggest ships are all hunk ships, and all of those are rarepairs OTL
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
35!
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
ignoring the fics i’ve completed and posted on ao3, i have about 52. including the above equals 87!!! m a t h
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
i try to write them down but if i write down the thingy i really want to focus on in the fic then i won’t want to write it anymore because it’s out of my head. OTL its a complicated process.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
literally never in my life.
16. How did you discover AO3?
definitely tumblr. i was in the dragon age fandom and there was this fic called The Little Kadan which had fem!inquisitor/iron bull + a baby so like i was all over that asap. i’m too shy to tag the author but u can find them on tumblr at sickly-writes ,,,,,,
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
nah not at all. i’m pretty Niche
(i.e. if you love shunk and/or heith + cuddling, i’m your gal. but anything else is pretty rare OTL)
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
not in the SLIGHTEST. i call them all babes in my head bc i love them tho
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
i don’t know this @fenri personally but i love their writing so much. i admire their style a WHOLE TON and i think i may have sort of modeled my own after theirs?
like i’m just thinking about it now but it’s definitely after i reread their fic (*ahem ahem* Like Crystal Guts) for about the fifth time that i started my whole ‘prose-y’ writing, which is very very recent aldjhsal
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
be confident in ur writing! if someone says they don’t like it, your work just isnt for them. just because one single person doesn’t like it doesn’t mean its bad!
r e r e a d what you wrote! i use fromtexttospeech.com to catch like... sentence structure/grammatical errors when my eyes are too tired and i find it helps a lot!
if you find a story you like, try figuring out w h y you like it so much. characterization? the way they describe things? because they use sentence structure you haven’t seen before? and then use that new knowledge to try to make your own writing style your favorite *fingerguns*
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
i only started plotting fics since last november, which was when i participated in my first nanowrimo. i don’t plot for every single story, but if i’m lost or i want to expand a little, i slap down a bunch of ideas in an empty google doc and go from there!
generally by then i’ve already written atleast a little bit, though.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
i can’t even remember what it says exactly now since i deleted the fic after, but someone said my characterization was bad in a super old inuyasha fic. little like... 12 year old me was so sad ;w;
i don’t think i’ve ever gotten a bad comment after that, though? which is NICE
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
DEFINITELY any action scene. i can’t make them long or drawn out or else i’ll just be struggling and sweating and generally craving death. i think i just need practice but o o o o f
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
i have a few hot n spicy prompts i need to finish that i probably won’t get to until next year salhdjsa
plus a few christmas presents!
and also my pirate au, Wander, which only has maybe 2 chapters left before its complete!
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
*sweats loudly*
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
not in the slightest. generally, if i’m in a writing sprint or something, i’ll try to get over a 1000 for whatever it is, but that’s for the total and not for the session.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
definitely! even though i’m still shy, im a lot more open to constructive criticism (if it doesn’t come after my soul ;w;). I’m also getting better at being more descriptive, which is something i’ve always wanted!
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
i have two. don’t make me choose
the first is technically cheating because it’s part of a series, and the series is my favorite BUT I DIGRESS. The Witch and the Mage (which is... one of my less imaginative names) is an MMO AU in which shiro and hunk are in love and also i have a vague plot outlined somewhere in my drive that’s pretty wild if i do say so myself. i may never write it but its there and its my favorite and i love the imagery i used in it.
the SECOND is a heith cuddle fic, because that’s basically my brand as a writer. it’s called home and i wrote it when i was very tired and couldn’t get to sleep. i may have been craving human contact? who knows in this economy. even though i see a number of things i wish i could fix about it, it’s just very self-indulgent in more than one way and its very dear to my heart.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
most of the fics i wrote earlier on are pretty bad imo, but i think the ones i hate the most are part of my You Are Beautiful series. it’s grossly out of character (mostly in keith’s case) but it was the first thing i’d written in about four years and i was so proud of it. so it has to stay up for posterity, tbh.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
i really hope to still be writing by then. maybe with my own personal book in its planning stages atleast??? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) gotta be optimistic!!
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
dialogue? also describing rooms. i love just... randomly popping out something that describes the placement of a couch in relation to a door.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
i always always always get distracted when i’m trying to write. if i’m in the zone, someone in my family is definitely gonna try to get my attention. it’s sort of become habit for me to just interrupt myself first so that i won’t lose whatever train of thought i had LMAO
33. Why do you write?
i like the way my words sound when i string them together in the right (write... *badum ts*) way. it makes me Feel Good (tm).
also i love giving characters (that mean something to me) attention, because it’s like i’m giving MYSELF attention. a two-for-one!

Note
for the hogwarts asks do multiples of 5 (OR ALL OF THEM LIKE LORRAINE AND I DID............JOIN US)
Peer pressure compels me to do all of them, because I refuse to be outdone by lesser, infant beings.
1. What house will you be in?
Ravenclaw, were the nerds go.
2. If the sorting hat was on you and it said you'd be great in a house you didn't consider before, will you follow his advice or choose what house you want?
I think I could be flexible about it. All the houses have qualities I admire, so I’d take its opinion into account.
3. What kind of animal would you bring to school?
I’d probably be good with an owl. Barn owl preferably.
4. If you were in class, where would you normally sit?
Towards the front, like I usually do.
5. What do you think you'll be doing right now?
Past midnight? Sleeping or reading.
6. What's the core of your wand?
Phoenix feather! *fist pump*
7. Do you think you'll be part of the quidditch team?
I’d try out just for the opportunity to fly around more. That’s the most important part to me, honestly.
8. Will you be part of any organization???
Heck yeah! I’ve had excellent experiences with student orgs ;)
9. Will you go home during holidays?
If my family’s nearby, probably. As cool as Hogwarts is during Christmas, that holiday is sacred in my family. I would try to stay over at least once though.
10. Do you think you'll have friends from other houses?
Of course.
11. What will you pack for school?
The standard: clothes, books, sketchbook, etc. I’d be kind of thrown off by the loss of internet though; no Netflix, youtube, or fanfic :( On the bright side, Hogwarts looks like it would have made slopes in the winter, so I’d pack a snowboard. Show them wizards how the muggles have fun.
12. How about when going home for holidays, what will you bring home?
Similar basics.
13. Would you consider studying in another wizarding school?
If they’re offering study abroad programs, count me in! I’m down for Durmstrang or Beauxbatons; living in a French castle sounds pretty stellar to me, and Durmstrang just sounds badass.
14. Do you think you'll be a prefect or head girl/boy?
I’d probably end up a prefect, but I’m not so dedicated a student that I’d get head girl.
15. Are you going to be a pure-blood or half-blood or muggle-born?
Muggleborn, probs.
16. Will you be related to any wizarding family?
Nah.
17. Will you be a student who gets into trouble a lot?
Nope. I have a deathly fear of being written up. So either keep my hands clean or only do things I know I’ll get away with.
18. Do you think you'll get a lot of detention? For what reason/s?
Again, no. Law-abiding citizen here. Mostly.
19. On hogsmeade visits, what shops will you go to?
Definitely Honeydukes, because I have no control.
20. Will you be supportive of your house's quidditch team?
Yeah, though I doubt I’d be a superfan. I’m not much of a sports person.
21. Will you read Hogwarts: A History?
I’d set out with the intent to read it, but I’d get a few chapters in then forget. Maybe skim it from time to time.
22. Do you think you'll get a lot of letters from home? How frequent do you think you'll get them?
I would constantly be getting letters, like weekly I’m sure. I come from a very close-knit family, and I’m very close to my brother.
23. Will you subscribe to the daily prophet or the quibbler or other wizarding world media?
Doubt it. I’m not much of a news follower, though I should be.
24. Which part of the castle will be your favorite?
Any of the towers I’m allowed into. I live for those views.
25. When sleeping in your dormitory, will your four-poster bed's curtains be drawn or closed?
Closed.
26. If the team your house played against wins, do you think you'll be bitter towards the other team after the game?
Nah. I wouldn’t care that much. I might be salty for a day in the spirit of the thing, but I’d drop it within 24 hours.
27. Do you think you'll be a fan of wizard music?
Couldn’t say, since I don’t know what wizard music sounds like. If it falls toward grungy/metal/alternative, sure, but if it sounds country, HELL NO.
28. Will you be curious enough to try and explore the whole castle, even if you know you can get in trouble for visiting some parts of it?
I wouldn’t do it on my own because I’m a scaredy cat about breaking rules, as mentioned above. However, if I was with a group of friends that were reinforcing by bad choices, I totally would.
29. How frequent will your visits to the library be?
Periodic. I like studying in my own room, so I might pop in for research or to check out a book, but I don’t think I’d stay.
30. If someone was to form an organization similar to dumbledore's army, will you join?
I’d like to think that I would, but I’ve never had to face that kind of choice before. Who knows how I would actually respond.
31. If you were to get detention, what task would you prefer? Would you want to scrub cauldrons or clean trophies or sort through unlabeled books or…?
I actually wouldn’t mind helping Lockhart with his fan mail. It’s monotonous, not hard labor, and I consider myself an expert in tuning shit out. I’d probably just be mentally mapping out my next story or fanfic while he blabbered.
32. On your o.w.l.s, what subject/s will you get an O in? Which ones do you think you’ll get a T on?
I get the feeling I’d be good at charms, and maybe transfiguration. I would work my ass off in DADA because it’s cool, but I’m not sure I would get an O. I don’t think I’d get a T in anything because I’m so stringent about my grades.
33. How about in your n.e.w.t.s?
Likely the same.
34. If you were a pure-blood, would you take interest in reading muggle literature?
As a student of literature, I consider it vital to study the written works of a wide variety of cultures, so yes.
35. At what time do you think you'll go to bed on weekdays?
2 AM at earliest, like I do.
36. Would you prefer firewhiskey over butterbeer?
I’m a lightweight that drinks solely based on taste, so butterbeer.
37. What wizard snack would be your favorite? Or which one would you like to try?
I know this is only a thing in the movies, but those candies that can make you sound like an animal. Like, how fucking cool??? I would be popping that shit like Mentos and eagle screeching behind my friends when they least expect it.
38. Will you collect chocolate frog cards?
I’d do it for a month and then drop it, like Pokemon Go.
39. Will you keep track of which flavor of beans you already tried?
I wouldn’t even touch the beans. I’ve done Beanboozled, once is enough thanks.
40. What quidditch team (excluding hogwarts houses) will you support?
I probably wouldn’t be invested enough to have a favorite.
41. What classes will you take for n.e.w.t.s?
DADA, charms, Care of Magical Creatures
42. What will your boggart be?
I’m not sure how a boggart could represent this, but like... loss of time? The concept freaks the hell out of me. One of my worst fears is falling into a coma or getting sent to prison for years, then coming out of it and seeing that everything’s changed, my family and friends have all aged and lived life without me. Again, the boggart would probably just stare at me in confusion, but that’s my big phobia.
43. Will you stay in the hog’s head or the three broomsticks?
Three Broomsticks. It’s cleaner and probably has more sissy drinks.
44. If you are of age, will you try to enter the triwizard tournament if they ever host one again?
To quote Sid the Sloth, “No thanks. I choose life.”
45. What do you think happens during graduation?
I imagine the Dumbledore/the Sorting Hat sings a song. There’s lots of food. McGonagall probably rewards exceptional students, someone gives a speech. Y’know.
46. Will you see the thestrals carrying the carriages?
Yes
47. If you were invited to join the slug club, will you accept the invitation?
Yeah, I guess. It’s elitist, I know, but them credentials and connections are worth a bit of selling out.
48. Will you consider becoming a professor in hogwarts after school?
Nope. The moment I’m out of Hogwarts, it’s off to Romania to work with dragons. I would overcome all sense of self-preservation for the chance to see dragons on a daily basis.
49. What would your patronus be?
I don’t know, probably something small and mellow and kinda smart. Maybe I’d get an owl?
50. What memory will you think of when making a patronus?
Probably those early mornings when I was little, when I’d wake up early, curl up on the heater, and wait for my dad to get up. Then he’d come out and read to me until everyone else was up.
51. What year are you suppose to be in right now?
Graduated four years, and likely devoured by a dragon because I tried to pet it.

Word Count: 3,284
Genre: Everything at one point or another. Also, be warned of explicit language, gun and drug use at one point or another, and violence. I feel like I need to put this on every chapter from now on. You have been warned.
Summary: What does one do when their future is already picked out for them? Try to escape over and over again or accept their fate?
Jiwoo could feel her heart beating against her chest as she clenched onto the lowered gun by her side. She could hear Kaiser whining in the background along with the low humming of Jiyong’s machines, and deep down in her heart she knew what she had to do. She would rather die before toying with their lives or risking their deaths. That was not an option for her. They had protected her ever since she stepped foot into this mansion. Even though their ways were a bit backward, they still did their very best to made sure she stayed alive and she knew that now it was her time to make sure they lived.
Biting the bottom of her lip, Jiwoo could taste the bitter taste of blood as her teeth pierced through her skin. She was cornered like a mouse and as she raised her eyes, she stared straight at the cat’s mischievous eyes. He was toying with her and she knew it. She could feel her mind going into overdrive as she tried to think of every possible outcome, only to come up with the same one over and over again. She truly had no choice. Staring up at the man before her, Jiwoo opened her mouth to speak, nothing but a low mumble escaping her lips.
“Please, can I just...at least let me…”
She could feel tears threatening to fall as she thought about Jiyong who was laying in the bed behind her. Kaiser, tied up to the bed watching helplessly. Taeyang, Top, Seungri, and Daesung who, according to the man, were sprawled out on the front yard. She had no reason to believe his words, but then again, she had no reason to not believe him. If they were fine, wouldn’t they have come for her by now?
“Please what, angel? What do you want?” His tone was mocking her words as he stared at her with a sly grin
Jiwoo sighed. She had no choice but to give in.
“I’ll go with you. Peacefully. Can I just...please...let me call a doctor. Let me call someone to come look after them. To help them somehow. Please. That’s all I ask…”
The man paused for a moment, staring at her as if trying to figure out if she were serious or not.
“You want me to let you call for help? For them? Who the hell do you think I am? I’m not a nice man, if you hadn’t noticed. Why would I let you do that? Did you hit your fucking head on your way here or somethin’?” He half laughed at her proposal and watched as the tears Jiwoo had been holding in for so long finally fell. His laughter, shrill in her ears as it echoed through the room, continued on for a few minutes before he slowly stopped.
“I’ll tell ya what, angel. Here.” He dug through his pocket and handed Jiwoo a phone that she almost immediately recognized as Top’s. Jiwoo held it in her hands, wondering what happened to him for this guy to have ended up with his phone.
“Put it on the bed. I’m sure it’s got the doctor’s number in it.”
Jiwoo hesitated for a moment, but did as she was told. Taking a quick glance at his two goons, she turned around and headed for Jiyong’s bed, placing the phone by his side before turning back to the man.
“If he just so happens to wake up any time soon, he can call the doctor for them. If not…” He trailed off and shrugged “Maybe they’ll survive, maybe they won’t. I mean, I guess if one of them wakes up, they could always try and find a working phone somewhere around this hell hole and call for help themselves.”
Jiwoo glared at the man as he started to laugh maniacally.
“Say your goodbyes, angel. You won’t be seeing him, or any of them for that matter, any time soon. Let’s go. I’ve got more shit to do than to just fetch you.”
Jiwoo’s eyes widened as the man motioned for her to follow him. She could feel her pulse race through her veins as she panicked. She spun around and ran back to Jiyong’s bed, tears now fully flowing down her cheeks. The man watched as she clung to Jiyong’s body, throwing her arms around his neck and holding him close to her. He rolled his eyes at her and turned in the opposite direction.
Jiwoo held Jiyong closely to her as best as she could without messing with the cables that he was hooked up to. She could feel her tears rolling down her cheeks, soaking his pillow, which she felt slightly bad for. A small saddened smile crossed her lips as she started to whisper to him.
“I know you can hear me, Jiyong, so listen up. I’m sorry. I fucked up. I couldn’t protect anyone in the end. Not Kaiser, not the boys...not you, but I need you to realize something. I love you, okay? I really do. Which is why I have to leave now.”
She could hear the man sigh in impatience behind her, but her arms refused to let go of Jiyong. Jiwoo tried to release him, but her body physically refused to let go. After holding him close for a few more moments, she inched away, kissing his forehead before once again being drawn back to him. She needed him.
“Alright, let’s go. I tried being nice but you’re taking too fucking long. Come on.”
With those words Jiwoo was physically ripped away from Jiyong’s body. The two men had grabbed one of her arms each and tore her away from Jiyong. She screamed from the top of her lungs as she tried to fight against them, but she was ultimately too small to possibly do any damage against either of them. Her arms flung through the air as she tried to rip them from their grips, her legs kicking the air they dragged her away. Kaiser, still bound to the bed, ran as far after her as the leash allowed him to as he barked. She could tell he clearly understood what was happening. Her eyes shot from Kaiser to Jiyong and she watched his body as she was pulled along and for a split second, she could have sworn his hand moved as if it were searching for hers.
Jiwoo’s eyes widened at what she was absolutely positive she saw and her shrill voice was now a mix of crying and screaming. The man who led the group was unfazed by her antics as he continued to walk. Jiwoo could feel her heart breaking as the other two men dragged her around the corner, Jiyong’s body now fully out of sight. She became silent as soon as she could no longer see him, as if her entire world had just come crashing down upon her, shattering into a million pieces that could never be put back together again. Her brain stopped working and her body became numb as if she finally realized that it was all over now. This was truly happening to her.
“Fucking finally. Shit...I thought she’d never shut up..” the man mumbled under his breath as he started to head down the staircase that led to the main lobby.
It wasn’t until they reached the end of it that Jiwoo noticed the dreadfully red-stained white tiles once again. The shattered pieces of her heart froze over and she stopped breathing as the guys holding onto her maneuvered around the numerous bodies that laid still on the ice cold floor. She recognized the men that stood in her way the first time she tried to enter Jiyong’s room along with a few others. Before she could process the bloodied battlefield in the lobby, she was dragged outside and down the last set of stairs.
Jiwoo’s head shot up, her blank eyes returning to color, as she heard a familiar voice, now raspy and broken, calling out for her. She frantically searched for its owner when out of the corner of her eye, she saw a hand reaching out for her. He was too far away to ever reach her, but he tried anyway, hoping that maybe, with enough willpower, he could dream to save her.
“Prin...cess…”
There he laid, sprawled out on the front lawn just how the man had told her earlier. Jiwoo could see the blood that surrounded him, but she was too far away from him to see his injury.
“DAESUNG!!” she screamed, her tears falling like raindrops while her voice turned hoarse the more she screamed out for him.
Daesung could barely hold his head up to look at her while his arm fell to the ground, his hand open as he tried to reach for her. It killed her to see him like that, injured and surrounded by the red liquid that haunted her nightmares.
“Please! I beg you! I won’t make any more fuss! I’ll do whatever you want, just please...please call a doctor! This is my family! They’re all I’ve got left!! He’s dieing! Can’t you see that?!” Jiwoo begged and pleaded with the man as her eyes scanned over the yard the further she was dragged.
Daesung watched helplessly from his position and as she got further she noticed the bodies of the other boys. Seungri, Taeyang, and Top. There they were. Every last one of them, laying in the front yard.
“Why the fuck would I do that? You’re damn lucky I’m letting them live.”
“They won’t live long if you leave them like this! You promised! You said if I go with you, you’d let them live!”
The man stopped in his tracks for a moment before turning on his heels and walking back to face Jiwoo.
“See, that’s were you’re wrong, angel. I said I’d let everyone that’s still alive, live. If they die it’s not my problem. I never said I’d save them. Technically, all I said was I wouldn’t deliver the final blow to kill em off. There’s a huge difference. Learn it.”
Jiwoo stared at the man, darkness lurking in his eyes as he stared right back at her.
“Get her in the car so we can go.”
“Yes sir,” was the last thing Jiwoo heard. She could see Daesung watching her helplessly as she was practically thrown into the backseat of a car, wishing that he could stand to his feet, grab the nearest gun, and run after her. He could see the fear on her face and he mentally cursed himself for being so useless when she needed him most. If only he had known earlier about the rat that brought all of this upon them. It was all his fault and Daesung was the only one to know.
“Fuck…” he cursed under his breath as his vision started to fade. He could see Jiwoo struggling, fighting with the last of her will, pleading and begging with the man for their lives, but with every blink his sight became darker and darker. His breathing heavier with every breath he took until his body couldn’t take it anymore. He had lost too much blood to stay conscious and the last thing he saw was the black car driving off with their princess in the back seat.
Jiwoo was numb, her eyes staying on the floor as she was squeezed between the two males who had forced her into the car. She remembered when Jiyong had first taken her from her home. She was afraid, confused, numb, just like she was now. Once again she was taken from a place she had grown to call home. The people she had gotten to know as family were either murdered or were close to death, the boys unconscious in the front yard. Daesung trying to save her. Jiyong still unconscious in his bed. Kaiser tied to the bed frame. The guards, dead in the lobby. Everyone had been ripped out of her world as she was once again taken away from it all.
She didn’t care for the scenery that flashed past her as they drove for what seemed like hours. She no longer felt anything. No longer thought of anything. No longer had the will to fight. All she truly wanted was to go back. Jiwoo could feel her arms instinctively wrap themselves around herself as if she were hugging something. Something that was now missing. King. Jiyong’s teddy bear.
“I left King...” she unknowingly mumbled to herself, to which the man turned around to look at her.
“King. That’s the name of that damn teddy bear, isn’t it? If so, here. The boss told me to make sure to get this before coming for you. He figured you’d be looking for it.”
Jiwoo looked up just in time to see the man throw the stuffed bear back at her. She watched him land on the floor before her and slowly reached for the stuffed animal. A sad smile spread across her lips as she hugged it tightly to her chest. It still smelled like Jiyong. Holding it tightly to her she glanced up at the man in the passenger seat.
“Who is your boss? And...how does he know about King?”
The man only scoffed at her questions. “Ask him yourself when you meet him.”
Silence rang through the car, save for the low hum of the radio and the car’s engine. No one spoke another word. Eventually Jiwoo found herself staring out of the window, buildings flashing by in an instant as they drove deeper and deeper into what seemed like a completely different city. She didn’t know if they were still in the same town, only in a part that she had never been to, or if they had left Jiyong’s town altogether and were now in new territory. Either way, she felt just as lost as she was the first time she was taken by Jiyong. She remembered the time she tried to escape and the man that was of no help to her whatsoever, and wondered if she’d be able to try and pull something like that off once more.
Jiwoo clung to King as the car slowed down and came to a stop in front of a rather large corporate style building. It stretched stories upon stories into the sky as it stood somewhere at the edge of town. It was surrounded by a large field that, along with the road they had arrived on, seemed to lead back into a small forest before connecting back to the rest of the town.
“Let’s go. I’m sure the boss is ready to see you.”
One of the men grabbed Jiwoo’s arm and pulled her out of the car. She clung to King as if her life depended on it. She watched as another car arrived behind them, but her head snapped back to the front as the man holding onto her urged her to move faster. The three of them followed the man that had been leading them the entire time into the building. She didn’t have the time to properly look around the place, barely being able to keep up with their pace as is.
“Ouch! That hurts! Could you at least loosen your grip some?” Jiwoo asked, but was answered with silence. She knew that would turn into a bruise by the end of the day and suddenly missed the boys again. There would be no one kind enough to bring her a bag of ice for it tonight.
“This way.”
Jiwoo unwillingly followed them down the hall, seeing as how she had no other choice, and was greeted with an elevator. The man pressed a button and within moments the doors opened for them. Being pushed inside along with everyone else, Jiwoo stumbled over her own two feet, being held up by the male that held tightly onto her arm.
“Unless you want your leg ripped off by the elevator doors, you might want to keep up,” the male stated in a monotone voice.
“I’m not as tall or bulky as you guys! My legs don’t walk as fast as yours!”
The man chuckled at her protest and pressed the button that would take them to the very top. Silence befell them as they rode it to their destination. Jiwoo held King tightly in her arms as the doors dinged open, revealing a long and ominous hallway. It was lined with inside plants all the way to a set of double doors that laid threateningly in the distance.
“Come on.”
Before she knew it, Jiwoo was once again tugged along between the two males. She could feel a chill run down her spine as they approached the door. She knew nothing but evil laid behind those double doors. This was her end. This is where her story would come to an end. There was no happily ever after for her. No prince to come save her. No fairy tale ending. Nothing but misery laid ahead of her and she could feel the fear that spread through her body. Jiwoo’s legs stopped moving and she was now being completely dragged down the rest of the hall. Her breathing quickened and her heart skipped a beat they reached the door. She could feel the knocking on the door in her bones and her eyes widened when she heard a deep voice urging them to enter.
The man smiled as he opened the door and Jiwoo could feel her entire body tense up as she looked at the back of another man standing at the opposite side of the room. There he stood, tall and proud in a fitted black suit. His dark hair slicked back and his hands folded behind his back, he didn’t even bother to turn around to look at any of them.
“I brought you a present, boss,” the man stated as he smirked and walked over to the desk and leaned against it.
It was then that Jiwoo realized he wasn’t just some underling. He was too comfortable around this new man while the other two holding onto her stood there, not daring to move any closer. This was his right hand man that personally came to fetch her.
“I see that, good job. We’ll talk later about the rest. Take them and leave me with her for a moment.”
Jiwoo felt their grips on her loosen and watched as the three of them left, the man smirking at her on his way out. He had proudly thrown her to the wolf and she could tell that he was overjoyed with himself.
“My sweet little doll. I see you finally returned home, where you belong.”
Jiwoo heard the dark voice echo through the small office like room and even though she thought of responding, her own voice was nowhere to be found.
Jiwoo was frozen to the spot, not daring to move as she watched him finally turn around. Her eyes widened as she saw his face and everything finally clicked for her. Her legs quivered underneath her and she fell to her knees, clinging onto King as her teeth chattered from fear.
“I...I know you…”
The man calmly walked toward her, stopping before her. He smiled maliciously as he found her sudden panic amusing. Kneeling down to face her at eye level, he gently placed his hand onto her cheek, feeling her entire body shake under his touch.
“So you finally remember, then? It’s been a while, and your prince won’t save you this time. Welcome home, doll.”

The OC question thing, all 50 answers bc I’m bored.
Some OC questions
1. Your first OC ever? Vikara Amarina Nellenryll. I’ve had characters before, but she was the first one who really stuck, who got a background and everything. She was my go-to oc for everything. 2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs? Alena Fanelis-Lavellan (dragon age) 3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?Nah 4. A character you rarely talk about? Seirein Xavier (adopted by Charles,) my X-Men OC. Her power is that she can make anyone do anything with her voice, so she’s resolved to be mute. She and Logan end up together. 5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be? Alena. Or idk, Belladonna Hawke. There aren’t enough Varric x Hawkes out in the world. I love both those bitches.
6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related? Most of my Hawkes look similar tbh. I try to make them different, but I’m a slut for a strong-nosed, big-lipped, tawny-skinned woman. 7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories? AHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Yes. Hands down. Most of my Dragon Age OCs are already in stories, or are at least mentioned because I have them set up in specific timelines. Alena is getting her own goddamn biography. Belladonna is 5 chapters into her own story. My FenHawke is 37 pages into her story. I’ve got a oneshot posted with my Hawkebela. (Da2 is my fav game tbh.) My non-DA OCs have a few stories, too. Seirein is one chapter down in hers, my Sole Survivor has more than a few oneshots down, etc. 8. Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here! No. I’m uncomfortable with RP since a friend destroyed it for me a long time ago. I used to be super big into it, but now it just makes me squeamish. 9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else? Fight me. (Maybe Rastig. He’s a little shit.) 10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design? Idk what that means. A physical design? Most of them just get scars. I mean, Anna Hawke is deaf in one ear. Genevieve is blind. Idk. Most of them have fully fleshed out backstories so that’s about as complicated as they get. 11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”? Brilla Aeducan. Gemma Cadash. Missella Surana. 12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot On AO3, there’s a FenHawke series that I legit sat and read for 3 days straight. Literally didn’t even turn on my TV. (It’s here ) I really like this Hawke. 13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs? Depends on how you define troublmaker. As in, a douche? Rastig. As in, mischievous? Kalam Adaar, Titania Shepard, Jack Ryder, Belladonna Hawke.
14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory HAHAHAHAAHHAAH Who doesn’t have one? Alena is the most fleshed out. She was born in Redcliffe, taken to the Circle at age 6, broke out with Anders at age 16, got separated from Anders, went to Denerim, was taken in by Cyrion and his family, was caught up in the slave trade, was sent to an abusive master in Kirkwall, killed him to escape, was caught by Cullen and taken to the Gallows, broke out of the Gallows, found Anders again, Anders was crazy, got help from Hawke (Belladonna) to get to the Sundermount Dalish clan, was taken in by them, found them all killed in year 7, was taken to live with Clan Lavellan, hated it but didn’t want to be alone so she allowed them to give her vallaslin even though she didn’t want it, Conclave, Solasmance, Solas broke up with her, finally Cullenmance. 15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people? Idk. Kinda? Kinda not though. I get shy really easily. I like talking about them. But with other people? Idk. 16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)? Marina Shepard 17. Any OC OTPs? Among just my OCs? No. I don’t ship my girls together. But each of them is specifically designed for a specific romance. 18. Any OC crackships? Nah 19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why) Vikara has been with me through a lot. I’ve had her for like... 7 years now? She made it through a bad breakup, high school graduation, and all of college. 20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)? Genevieve Hawke sings frequently at the Hanged Man. She’s a Mezzosoprano if she really gets going and she tends to get throaty with it, kinda like Christina Aguilera or Gaga. Marina Shepard can sing but she’s a bit shy to do it. If her friends can boost her up enough, she will for them. She’s a tenor. 21. Your most artistic OC Vikara Lavellan writes poetry. Brilla Aeducan draws/paints (she painted Leliana fireside one night.) 22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how? People think Anna Hawke hates Sebastian, but that’s not true. She’s just threatened by him because she’s a mage, and he’s very vocal about turning in her mage friends. (She used to feel the same way about Fenris, but she fell in love too fast.) 23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like? Most of them. 24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why? Genevieve Hawke. She’s a very strong, proud woman. 25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?) Tbh, most of my OCs are just re-coded versions of myself. Except Rastig. But I guess Anna Hawke. The story I mentioned with her is focused on her weight issues and how Fenris helps her learn to love herself (and vice versa.) 26. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will? I mean, I’ve had Vikara for 7 years. Not all game platforms allow for the same character customizations. 27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song? Nah 28. Your most dangerous OC? Rastig Brosca and Titania Shepard. 29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going? Alena is actually about to fall into a well and ponder her death because she didn’t tell anyone, so, her. 30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection? Asena Adaar. Josephine thinks they’re darling, and they talk about their dolls together. 31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really) Marina Shepard is all about the memes, man. She’s nothin’ but jokes, nonstop, though once in a blue moon, she might reblog a picture of a nice ass (tastefully, of course.) 32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why? Kalam Adaar doesn’t get scared. She just cracks jokes until she feels better. 33. Your shyest OC? Anna Hawke. 34. Do you have any twin characters? Yes! Belladonna Hawke was a twin to Garrett Hawke (who is deceased.) 35. Any sibling characters? Beyond Belladonna, no. Though, Asena Adaar and Gemma Cadash are quite close. (Multi-inquisitor AU, but only Gemma has the mark. Asena is just part of the inner circle.) 36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)? Nah. I’m a solo-OCer 37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human I mean. I only have any human DA characters because I didn’t get a choice with Hawke. Even my queen is, in my lore, an elf because I really don’t like humans. Every single OC would be non-human if I had the choice. 38. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer? Jack Ryder. 39. Introduce any character you want I have a Labyrinth story I started.............a longass time ago. The main character is Jacqueline (the French, not the American,) and she’s the daughter of Sarah. She is mute for most of the story because she was driving in an accident that killed her father. Sarah contacts Jareth and asks him to help fix Jack, help her overcome her guilt and trauma, so he takes her to the Labyrinth. 40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share! Not really. I love them all, the wee babs. 41. Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two here (remember sources & permissions!) Nope. 42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods? Titania Shepard. It wasn’t a huge leap for her to go from Shakespeare (where she supposes her namesake comes from) to mythology. 43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess I like big noses, strong cheekbones, brilliantly colored eyes, and scars. Lots and lots of scars. 44. Something you like about your OCs in general They’re like my friends. 45. A character you no longer use? Psh. I can’t even remember. If I don’t use them, they’re lost forever. 46. Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly? Not yet 47. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child? IRL, nah. In games, most of my Shepards are bonded strongly to their krogan teammates, and then there’s Seirein who’s literally adopted. 48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure Brilla Aeducan 49. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes Kalam Adaar and Titania Shepard 50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want If you want, you can tag your ask answers with #yetanotherOCmeme so I can check them out too `v´9 I just really fking love them all. The biggest struggle is that I have so many I’m so invested in but I obviously can’t do anything with them all in one go. I have to focus on one then another then back to the one and it gets so frustrating because I have so many ideas and stories to come up with but so little time.

Gangsta Luv (G Dragon fic/Ch.6)
A/N: Hello Hello! What’s up! How’s your year been going so far? Hopefully good! :D Anyways, here’s the next chapter to my arranged marriage/mafia G Dragon fic! Hope you guys enjoy and have a nice day/night!! ~ Ad. Red
Ch.1 Ch.2 Ch.3 Ch.4 Ch.5 Ch.7 Ch.8 Ch.9 Ch.10 Ch.11 Ch.12 Ch.13 Ch.14 Ch.15 Ch.16
Word Count: 2,355
Genre: Everything at one point or another. Also, be warned of explicit language, gun and drug use at one point or another, and violence. I feel like I need to put this on every chapter from now on. You have been warned.
Summary: What does one do when their future is already picked out for them? Try to escape over and over again or accept their fate?
Jiwoo sat in silence in the passenger seat of Jiyong’s Lamborghini, nothing but the low hum of the music playing to somewhat break the deathly silence. Chewing on her bottom lip, she looked down at how her fingers interlaced with each other, not knowing what to do or think. She figured sitting there silently would probably be her best choice in the current situation. She noticed an automatic pistol lying on the middle console when she got in, and for a split second debated on if she was brave enough to grab it and turn it on him. As soon as Jiwoo glanced over at Jiyong and saw the raging fire burning in his eyes, she felt all of her escape plans begin to crumble. There was absolutely no getting away from him. Ever.
Jiwoo glanced over at the pistol lying neatly between them before daring to look up at the driver. There was a storm of fury, madness, and violence evident that sent shivers down her spine. For the first time in her life, she was legitimately terrified of the man that vowed to protect her so many years ago.
I’m going to die. This is it. This is where my life ends.
She squeezed her eyes shut tightly as the tears she had been trying so hard to hold in finally fell. The car sped down the street as Jiyong drove like a madman, ignoring the girl sitting by his side until he heard her sniffling. He chuckled and shook his head at her.
“Why the fuck are you crying now?! When did you become such a damn crybaby again? Will you shut the hell up?!”
Jiwoo sniffed, crying harder at his cold words and trying her best to stop at the same time, leaving her breathing harder and faster the more she tried. Jiyong sighed at her attempts to stop the waterfall.
“Shit…I’m glad you have at least a little sense. I didn’t even need to use force to get you in the car. Smart girl.”
Jiwoo could feel her heart racing in her chest as they sat in silence once more, save for her crying that now joined the low music in the background. Her gaze stayed on the floor. She didn’t dare look up anymore, afraid of what Jiyong might say to her if she did. She felt the car come to a halt after a while and figured they arrived back to where she had started. Seeing how long it took them to get back, Jiwoo figured she had either gotten quite far or Jiyong had driven around the same block a few times to confuse her and throw her off. Either way, they were back now and her heart sank faster than a brick in the ocean.
Jiwoo didn’t dare move, even after Jiyong had parked the car. She was too frozen with fear to move from her spot. Jiyong sighed as he opened the door, and she watched him make his way to her side of the car from the corner of her eyes.
“What the hell are you waiting for? We’re back,” Jiyong stated in a cold tone as he opened the passenger door.
Snatching the bag Jiwoo had taken with her out of her grip, Jiyong swung it around his shoulder and grabbed her arm so that he could pull her out of the car and after him. Jiwoo wanted to protest, wanted to complain that the grip he had on her would definitely leave bruises later, but she wasn’t crazy enough to say anything against what he did. Not while he had a tight hold on the pistol with his other hand, at least. She ran after Jiyong, trying to keep up with his pace as he dragged her back into the hell she had escaped from only hours earlier. Her mind raced as she thought about the room she’d be locked back into as soon as she entered the building and immediately went into hysteria mode. She didn’t want to live like this for the rest of her life. She wanted nothing to do with any of this. She wanted out. She wanted answers. She wanted her mother.
Jiwoo stopped in her tracks and tried her hardest to snatch her arm out of his grip as she yelled at the top of lungs, feeling her throat grow sore with each scream. She begged Jiyong not to take her back in there, to let her go, to at least explain what was going on, but her little burst of confidence was gone just as fast as it came as she watched him stand there eerily calm with a malicious smirk on his face.
“Do you have any clue what this is, doll?” Jiyong questioned, his voice deep and laced with annoyance. She paused and watched as he held the pistol up to her, turning it so she could see it from every angle. “This is one of my favorite toys. A Beretta M9.”
Jiyong paused. His grip on Jiwoo’s arm grew tighter as he inched nearer to her until the only thing in between them was the gun he admired so much.
“See this right here? That’s how you load this baby.” He smirked, turning it so she could see. “Over here is the safety, which is off right now. And this…”
Jiyong put his finger on the trigger and stared at her, his eyes ice cold as he raised it up to her head. Jiwoo felt the cool metal against her temple and her eyes grew wide. Her heart stopped and she became numb, her body cold as she felt fear itself crawling up her spine.
“This is the trigger, and if you don’t stop this bullshit right now you’ll get to see what it feels like first hand. Understood?” Jiyong’s eyes were that of a killer as he stared deeply into Jiwoo’s own frightened eyes. Tears fell silently and he chuckled as he lowered his gun.
“Glad you understand.”
He began walking again, dragging her behind him into the mansion. Seungri and Top stood leaning against the top of the staircase, smirks drawn across their faces as they watched her being pulled through the front room.
“Told ya so,” Top gloated as he grinned over at Seungri, the younger unwillingly handing over the twenty dollars they had bet earlier.
“3 hours, almost on the dot. You were right.”
Top smiled as he counted his money, looking up when Jiyong passed by with Jiwoo in tow.
“Nice to see you came back princess.”
Jiyong stopped and glared at Top, which the man returned with a smile.
“My office. Now.”
“Got it, boss.”
Jiwoo looked up at Top and he could see her bloodshot red eyes, which he assumed were from her crying. The glassy look in them gave it away.
“That grip is going to leave a bruise,” Seungri mumbled. Top only nodded in response.
Jiyong walked her down the hall and back into the room that seemed to have been waiting for her return. Shoving Jiwoo into it, he watched as she stumbled and fell onto the floor. Jiwoo turned her head back to stare up at him. She looked broken, torn, and numb.
“Why did you think escaping was a good idea?! Do I need to tie you to the damn bed post for you to stay in here?! Didn’t I tell you to stay?! That was the only fucking thing I wanted from you. To stay here and to stay alive! Fuck…” Jiyong yelled. Jiwoo flinched at his tone. He stood there, staring down at the girl as he ran his hand through his hair.
“You just don’t understand...I’m trying to keep you alive…” he mumbled under his breath. His gaze softened for a split second before he turned away from her. “Your room won’t be locked, but it will be heavily guarded for the night. Take one step out of this door and I can't guarantee your safety. I’m changing the locks tomorrow morning and adding a few to it. You absolutely cannot leave this room. Do you understand me?”
Jiyong began to make his way back to the wooden door, stopping in his tracks at the words Jiwoo finally managed to form.
“When did you become so cold, Ji?”
Taking a deep breath, he chuckled and thought for a moment. “I’ve always been cold.”
----
Top sat in the chair across from Jiyong’s desk and waited patiently for him to come back. Looking around the room, he noticed a few binders and books he hadn’t seen before. The office was filled with important files, though, so it didn’t surprise him much anymore. Jiyong had been working hard day and night to maintain his father’s place as the head of the mafia and it was wearing the boy out. Top and the others came in every day after visiting Jiwoo and updated him on her, making sure he always knew what was going on and how she was doing. It was their job to make sure she had everything she needed and keep Jiyong updated on her. She may not have known it, but in a way Jiyong had made them her personal assistants.
“How the hell did she get out, Seunghyun?” Jiyong’s voice now rang through the room and Top smiled when he heard the displeasure laced with impatience.
“How should I know?”
“I’m not fucking playing with you anymore. Tell me and I’ll consider letting you live.”
Top chuckled as he walked over to a mini self serve bar to fix two glasses of whiskey. Jiyong took a seat at his desk and watched as Top handed one of the glasses over to him.
“I got a little bored and decided to play a game with your doll. I was wondering if she was as smart and strong as she makes herself seem. I guess I was just a little wrong, though. She seems tough, but she has nothing on you.” Top took a sip of the whiskey, feeling Jiyong glare daggers into him.
“You let her out,” Jiyong stated coldly, something Top had become immune to over the years. He nodded and returned to his previous seat across from Jiyong.
“What the FUCK was going through your mind that made you think that was a good idea?! What if someone else found her? She could be dead right now! Do you understand how important it is that she stays alive?!”
“No one knows about her or who she is, so as long as she didn’t say anything to anyone she’ll be fine. She’s back home now anyway, and I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to try and break in here.”
Jiyong sighed at Top and waved him off. “Leave before I change my mind and put a bullet through your head. A warning for next time: play with my ‘doll’ like that again and I promise I’ll have you on pet duty for the rest of your life.”
Top looked over at Jiyong as he stood to his feet, knowing exactly what the younger man meant by that, and nodded realizing just how serious he was.
Top raised his glass toward Jiyong and walked out of the office, closing the doors behind himself. Jiyong sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, staring at the door Top just walked out of.
“Fuck…”
----
Jiwoo sat on the floor, her back leaning against the bed and her legs pulled up to her chest. Her head stayed buried in her arms as she cried her eyes out. Her eyes burned when she looked up to see who was coming through her door. She didn’t move when the man came closer and kneeled down in front of her with a smirk on his face and a glass in his hand.
“I see you’re back. That was quick. You know, me and Seungri bet on how long you’d be gone for. I won,” Top bragged and Jiwoo stared at him. He could see the pain in her eyes, puffed up and red from all the sobbing she had done. He knew everything she wanted to ask him at that point without her ever muttering a word. It was obvious what she wanted to know. “Why did I leave the door open for you if I knew you’d get caught again? Well ya see, Jiyong hasn’t really given me much to do lately so I got a little bored and decided to play a game is all.”
Jiwoo sniffed, clenching her legs onto her chest. Top looked over at her arm and saw the large red hand print that was still visible.
“That’s going to leave a bruise.” He leaned over and looked at her without ever laying a finger on her, knowing that if he did he’d be dead by morning. “I’ll tell Daesung to bring you a bag of ice...and maybe a drink with dinner. You look like you could use it. Do you drink?”
Jiwoo didn’t move, only stared at him. Top chuckled and stood back up, now looking down at the pitiful girl. He smirked as he made his way back to her door.
“Oh yeah!” he exclaimed and turned to face her. “Don’t hate Jiyong too much. He’s just trying to keep you alive is all, and it looks like he’ll have his hands full with that. You’re a clumsy, broken, cry baby. I still don’t understand why everyone thought you’d make a great wife for him.”
Jiwoo’s eyes widened when his last sentence registered and she suddenly remembered what her mother had told her.
“We had to make a deal when you were born. You were to marry his son and we would get to live to see you grow up.”
Jiwoo stared the man down as she remembered everything from her father owing a large amount of money to the deal her parents made with Jiyong’s father. Top could see a small spark growing in her eyes as everything she had somehow forgotten came flooding back.
“Top, I need to speak with Jiyong.”
