trivia ****day
I was tagged by @hippolotamus yesterday and @mostlyinthemorning today to share a little something from behind the scenes of my writing. And it took me a long time to come up with something! I’m always stumped by those “what is your writing process!” questions because I don’t feel like I have a process. I’ll write anytime, anywhere the words strike and I’m a bit chaotic with the way I go about it.
So I’m not sure how behind the scenes this is since I shared the playlist with the fic, but I’m going to talk about how I made this playlist for shine like silver.
Sometimes when I make fic playlist, it’s just for the vibes (like this one for if the fates allow) and sometimes they follow the narrative arc of the fic (like this one for the lie between your teeth). The shine like silver playlist is a little different because it actually has two interwoven narratives. The fic tells two different stories, one past and one present, and so the playlist does, too.
The playlist alternates between piano-heavy pop songs and classical piano pieces. The classical pieces also increase in difficulty as we follow David through his piano-playing journey. It’s not necessarily linear, but then, learning never is. The pop songs are telling the other story, about all the other things going on in David’s life, the relationship with his parents, the bullying at school, feeling trapped by expectations, etc.
One more things about the playlist is how the inclusion of Chopin’s Prelude in D Flat Major inspired one of my favorite scenes in the fic. I had planned to have something drive David to start playing again without Patrick there and have Patrick come home and discover him. But I was struggling to come up with what it was that would precipitate (pun intended) that. That prelude is also known as the Raindrop Prelude and it’s a really beautiful piece. That sparked the idea of there being a bad thunderstorm and David worrying about Patrick and playing piano through it to ease his anxiety.
I don’t know if that’s interesting to anyone but hopefully it was!
It’s not Tuesday anymore but if anyone would like to share, I’d love to hear about your behind the scenes!

Season 4, Episode 2 - Mensonge (Lies)
Tumblr media
Welcome again. I had been logged out from Tumblr for the whole weekend, because I was afraid of untagged spoilers, as I've seen one screenshot here accidentally, fortunately it wasn't spoilerish. And I've watched the Lies today. Again without reading other's people opinion about the episode, so I probably write things that have been said before.
I enjoyed it more than Truth. But not because it's better written, I think the overall quality of both is similar. Lies is about characters I care about more, so it's natural that the episode is automatically more interesting to me. I dislike both Luka and Jagged (to be fair the only member of the Couffaine family I like is Juleka) and that would be hard to make me caring about them, the best thing I could say about any of those characters is that I tolerate them on screen. Sometimes. Don't get me wrong, Truth was the best episode for Luka and Jagged, but they are still dull and/or annoying to me. Creators need to develop son-father relationship more to make me interested in it, that arc was too shallow in Truth.
But the post is about Adrigami episode, not Lukanette one.
Tumblr media
I'm surprised that we got only one not very long scene with civilian Marinette. But not surprised that she's still pining over Adrien. Just like Chat is pining over Ladybug. As I'm keeping saying, it's not gonna change. But really, Marinette thinks that Adrien's life is perfect? She should know that tight schedule could be a big problem and has she forgotten what terrible father is Gabriel? Of course she doesn't know details we know, but she should be aware that he isn't as good parent like her own. So probably her enamored brain can't see bad sides of life of her loved one. She still can't think rational when it comes to him. Another reason why she should stop putting him on a pedestal. We need some friendly Adrienette so badly, we need to see Adrien telling her more bad things in his life. He isn't used to complain, but I think he needs to tell someone the truth about his family life. I hope Marinette will be that person.
Tumblr media
I had been tired of clown Chat in Truth, but this episode lets us to see the situation from his point of view and now I understand more why he behaves like that. I think that he tries to hide from Ladybug how much he miss spending time with her that way. He is aware that's because of her new responsibility and he doesn't want to make her feel bad for it. Those scenes were so sweet. How much Chat wants an Akuma to appear just to see his lady. Not very noble, but I can't blame him. It only shows that Adrien is a normal human being. We all are selfish from time to time and it's healthy (you only have to find a good balance, being as selfish as Chloé and as selfless as Luka is not good).
Tumblr media
Geez, why they can't put the right title of the piece? That's a different composition than that one used back in season 2, but the smartphone's screen says the same. And none of them is actually Raindrop Prelude. This is Raindrop Prelude. They are not even any of Chopin's preludes. I won't be surprised if both are not Fryderyk Chopin's compositions either (although I haven't heard all the solo piano pieces composed by him, so I can't be sure). I love classical music, so I'd love to know what pieces Adrien's playing! By the way, I recommend to listen to all of the 24 preludes, they are usually very short but interesting compositions. If you're too lazy to listen to all, check out number 20 at least, that's a pure, very atmospheric, beauty. One of my favourites melodies ever created.
Tumblr media
I have always thought that Adrigami has more chemistry and it's generally more entertaining to watch than Lukanette (sorry stans, but you probably don't even follow me and read my posts,  there's a reason why I'm warning that my blog is not Luka and Lukanette friendly in its description). I feel that in this episode as well. Absolutely it's not a perfect relationship and it can't be, as Adrien is still into Ladybug. It's clear that Kagami is the one who really cares, Adrien is more distant. It seems that he's abashed of Kagami's physical intimacy, like he can't be open to her when he's still in love with Ladybug. That was really sad to hear Kagami's words that she's lying to be more often with him and he lies to not spend time with her. But relationship can't work if only one side is invested in it and they both need to learn it. They have some things in common, I like how they spending time together, so I'm sure they would work much better as friends. I'm sorry for Kagami and I wish her a better boyfriend who would love her truly. In some way it was a repeat of Truth, as we've seen Adrien leaving Kagami all of sudden, because of Akuma's attacks, but this time it's not as heavily portrayed like it's not working only because of superhero responsibility, that I didn't like in the previous episode. Another reason why I liked how Adrigami is shown more.
Tumblr media
I really, really loved that we've learnt something new about Kagami and that's amazing it's something I have in common with her. I'm really surprised, since she didn't seem to have an artistic soul before. I also love seeing she likes draw animals, it's like me, I'm trying practise it. I enjoy drawing animals (and creatures like Kwamis or Pokémon) more than humans. But at the same time I feel angry at her mother. How could she dare to say that Kagami isn't good enough? Trying to kill a child's hobby is always unforgivable. She's much better than me (I'm a little jealous, but that's not the first time when a teen has much better skill than me), but my family and some others I know in real life often say that I'm talented and some people try to convince me to take pay commissions. That’s me who knows the best than I'm not skilled enough to take money for my art (they don't know really good artists in person and they don’t draw themselves, so no wonder they are not aware that my works aren't that good they think). Maybe some day, but not now, so I only enjoy drawing gifts for others. I'm also got interested in a real French artist she mentioned - Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and I've seen some of his works. Very good for Miraculous for mentioning artist like him, I have never heard about him before, but maybe French students learn about him in school.
Tumblr media
Seeing Adrien making Chat's pose was hilarious. I'm sure it's food for true selves trope supporters, but I also agree with Kagami that both model poses and Chat's poses are not ALL Adrien poses. He's more than that. That seemed like he has problems with being natural when he's on the pressure. He's learned how to make model poses, but I also think that when he is in full clown mode is also an act. But that's a mask which he has putted all by himself. In which he tries to be as much different than his public image as he can. Of course being dorky is also a true Adrien side, but not all the time. Being just a cute and polite boy is also true him. It seems that Adrien is not aware of it.
Tumblr media
Marinette's lucky charm bracelet is an akumatised object once more. That and the fact she was asking him what he was doing on the boat tell us that Kagami probably think that Adrien is in love with Marinette (it could make also her wonder what stop them from being together if she knows that Marinette likes him as well).
Tumblr media
I also liked her reaction to imminent breaking up more. It's more human reaction in my opinion. Some anger, but not too much. She says she doesn't want to see him for a while and that's completely understandable. Adrien has broken her heart, so she need some time to take care of herself without being interrupted by him. I'm going to say something that could be seen controversial, but in my opinion her attitude is way more healthy than Luka's. He still waits for a girl who clearly likes another boy much, but she's trying to really give up on him. And I would like to see a scene in which she says him that Marinette is not worth his waiting, he should be open for another love instead. Uff, I was really worried that they might kill Adrien and Kagami characters. But nothing really bad happened in the episode between them, everything was in-character. Of course salters will still find reasons to hate Kagami, they can say she's possessive towards him (that's true to some extent, but I think it's not really toxic, as she's still cares about his true feelings).
Tumblr media
I need to say that Lies is the worst S4 Akuma design we've seen till now. Riposte and Oni-chan were much better. Also the battle was the worst part of this episode in my opinion. It wasn't completely bad, but it felt somewhat boring to me. I definitely enjoyed fights against Truth and Furious Fu more. The thing about that I liked the most what how they made use of Fang.
Tumblr media
So the season 4 version of Chat Noir's transformation theme is exactly the same they used in the Shanghai special. It wasn't obvious, since Ladybug's one is a different one than that in the show. I noticed that that Ladybug's theme feels more like a new composition which only uses parts of an original version, while Chat's is clearly "just" an arrangement of the theme we know since season 1. Maybe that's because it's supposed to symbolise that she has even more responsibility now, as she's the Guardian as well. Chat's role hasn't changed that much as hers. I also think the new arrangement sounds cooler, it's more electric guitar-driven. I can't wait to get any of the episodes in which there's his transformation sequence with 5.1 audio to rip it.
Tumblr media
All three released episodes are nice for Ladynoir a lot, their scenes are all sweet and wholesome. It almost feel like Ladynoir is close to happen. But I feel that's just calm before the storm. Marinette hasn't reached to her worst moment yet. I'm sure Ladybug will have more breakdowns like that in the season 3 finale.
Three episodes aired and I'm not amazed by any of them. But I don't want to be salty, I'm not worried about that. That's true for season 3 as well, I enjoy the second part of the season more as well. It's important to save the best episodes for later. And I have never expected that I would love all the S4 episodes, despite of pre-release statements, it's impossible. I'm not disappointed. Yet. Just give me some Adrienette food. Please.

Piano lessons
Kim Dahyun x fem!reader
requested by: me, I’m sorry guys😂
genre: pure fluff
a/n: I’m having a little tough time with mastering a certain piece, so here’s a little cheer up drabble from me to me😂
Tumblr media
I sat down at the piano, fiddling with the dog ears of my sheet music book.My compulsory piano exam in music school was about to take place next week and even though my major instrument was alto saxophone, it would have a great impact on my final note. Although usually I did pretty well in this class, some unnamable force kept me from mastering the piece I had to prepare for the said exam. I sighed heavily and proceeded to open the book on the page marked by my tutor. Raindrop prelude op. 28 no.15 by Frederic Chopin. Not the hardest piece for a professional pianist, but quite a challenge for an intermediate learner like me. What is worse, I chose to play it myself, so the struggles I kept facing while trying to learn it only convinced me that I, in fact, overestimated my abilities. Moreover, practising took up so much of my time,I barely managed to spend it with my girlfriend who had just finished promotions, finally having some free time to rest. I stretched my fingers slowly and put them on the keys to adjust the amount of pressure I should put for the sound to be clear yet graceful and atmospheric. When I started to play easy scales to warm up, I heard soft steps reaching the room. Dahyun knocked on the door before cracking it open, so I could take in her appearance. She had my favourite burgundy sweater on, a mug of tea in her hands and her signature wide smile gracing her lips.
- I figured out you’re about to start playing - she looked at me lovingly - And I know you’re busy with your exam practising, but we have been spending so little time together lately. Maybe I could join you if you don’t mind?
I smiled back at her, making space for her to sit next to me on the bench. She placed the mug on the top of the piano cover and placed herself next to me.
- So, what were you planning to play, baby? - she looked mindlessly at the sheet music before us - Hm, that doesn’t seem that hard, right? Since it’s so easy, we can arrange it and play it for four hands, great.
I looked down at my fingers insecurly. It wasn’t that hard? Than my piano skills must really be that horrible. Moreover, I saw the excitement on Dahyun’s face and how eager she seemed to start playing. It broke my heart to bring her back to reality.
- Actually, I… I can’t really play it yet, I always get stuck in the middle and I can’t get it flawlessly - I mumbled under my breath. I wasn’t afraid of her being judgemental, I was just a tiny bit ashamed of my struggles.
- Oh, Y/N, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise…- then, Dahyun suddenly clapped her hands in excitement - I know, give me a sec, I’ll play it and I’ll help you with it.
I witnessed her play the whole piece a vista with little struggle, her eyebrows knitted, fingers gracefully dancing over the keys. She seemed ethereal, so out of this world.
- See, I’m sure you’ll get it in no time - she shot me an encouraging smile and put her fingers over mine to delicately guide me through the hardest part.
- Now that I have the best teacher by my side, I’m sure I’ll do.

46 jekyll + edwina
46: Dance with me.
“Miss Hyde, you need to focus on the keys!”
“I'm trying, alright!”
Aoimoku was currently trying to teach Edwina how to play the Raindrop Prelude by Chopin.
But it was obvious that the poor girl was having a hard time concentrating on the lesson.
And everyone knew why.
Sure enough, the Japanese looked up and glared.
“Dr. Jekyll, it would be a big help if you backed away, so she can concentrate! You're making her nervous!”, she chided.
Said doctor was leaning against the piano, watching her play.
Henry knew that he was way too close, but he couldn't help himself.
Watching Edwina's bony, but nimble fingers wander over the white and black keys just had something about it.
But neither of the women seemed to share his way of thinking.
Finally the brunette threw her hands up. “I give up! I can't concentrate!”
“I can tell”, Aoimoku noted and gave Henry a sour look.
“Sorry, sorry”, he chuckled, even though he wasn't sorry at all.
He grinned at Edwina. “I apologise for breaking your concentration. Allow me to make it up to you.”
She snorted: “What, will you take me out again?”
Henry shook his head. “Not quite. I just want to know: do you know how to dance?”
Edwina blinked. “Dance?”
“Yes. Dance.”
She thought for a moment. “Uhh … no, not really. I learned a few steps in elementary school, but that can't be called dancing.”
“Do you want to learn it?”, he asked.
The tiny brunette stared at him. “Are you offering to …?”
“Maybe?”, he said with a wink.
Please say yes, please say yes, please say-
“Okay”, she mumbled and blushed.
“Excellent!”, he cried happily and clapped his hands. “Now, we have to start with something slow and simple. How about-”
“Is waltzing simple?”
“Sorry?”
“Uhm … I always wanted to learn how to waltz. I've seen people do it and … it just looked so pretty”, she admitted.
“Oh, you want to learn ballroom dancing?”
She nodded and blushed harder.
That surprised Henry a little, but he smiled. “Of course. There are several kinds of waltzes, but I think that Slow Waltz is the best thing to start with.”
“Okay.”
“Well then. Now, if I may have the honour, madam.” He bowed before her and held out his hand. “Dance with me.”
She chuckled and took his hand.

closing thoughts
As the day winds down and Chopin’s birthday celebration comes to an end, I’m going to share some personal thoughts on why I love Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin and why that love goes beyond him being my favorite composer.
Put under a Read More because this is going to get long and sappy.
I’ve always felt a spark listening to Chopin’s music, the kind of flame that burns from deep within your heart but is warm and loving rather than painful. I could connect with Chopin even as a kid, and even though my love for him and his music has come and gone I think ever since Spring 2018 Chopin has been a very integral part of my life.
I first learned of Chopin as a young elementary school kid. My elementary school used to have a monthly presentation called F.A.M.E. (which stood for Fine Arts Mini Experience) that featured one great artist and one great composer each time (I doubt my elementary school has F.A.M.E. anymore, which is a real shame). Once during F.A.M.E. the featured composer was Frédéric Chopin, and he just really stuck with me.
I remember the presenter teaching us how to pronounce “Chopin” by showing us a pan and saying to us “What am I doing with this pan?” The kids said stuff like “you’re frying an egg with it?” and the presenter said “but that’s in your imagination, what I’m really doing is showing it. So that’s how to pronounce this composer’s name, ‘show-pan’.”
And I dunno, that “show pan” thing, as well as Chopin’s music proper, really stuck with me, even if I wasn’t that into the composer’s life. In elementary school I enjoyed playing with a classical music activity book, and Chopin was my favorite. In elementary school and junior high, even though I never really got into Fryderyk Chopin’s life and story, and I wasn’t overly familiar with his compositions (aside from the likes of Minute Waltz and Raindrop Prelude), I was always the type to think “forget Justin Bieber and give me some Chopin”. When I was in junior high my professional pianist cousin - she’s 39 years old now - gifted me an iPod Nano (lmao, remember those things?) and loaded it with her classical music playlist, which had a lot of Chopin on it (funnily enough the pieces weren’t even formatted properly and a lot of the pieces ended up being just called “Chopin”, but I still really enjoyed them).
In junior high, so around 2010, I finally learned to play Chopin pieces. I bought two Chopin piano books, learned his “Minute Waltz” Op. 64 No. 1 and posthumous Nocturne in C sharp minor from my piano teacher (bless her), and taught myself his “Raindrop Prelude” Op. 28 No. 15 and Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 in E Flat Major (this second one was because Austria from Axis Powers Hetalia liked to play it and I was into Hetalia at the time, but I digress).
My depression hitting me hard in 10th grade kind of. Made me forget about Chopin for a few years, and classical music in general tbh. I would go “yeah classical music is fun but I like other genres more” (I still like musical tunes and popular songs, but not as much as classical music). But then, last year, I reluctantly (this was thanks to depression) took a music history online college class on Great Composers of Western Music, Romantic to Modern.
And man, that class really reopened my eyes as I rediscovered Chopin. This time, however, I didn’t just like his music - I fell in love. I don’t know why, but perhaps thanks to my depression giving me a new perspective I just felt that I could connect with Chopin and his music more than with any other composer. I mean, even though other composers are great I felt something special with Chopin, something special that I still feel to this day.
When I express my love for Chopin, whether through attempting his pieces or just gushing about him, I feel connected to him and everything feels right. When I play his piano pieces like his Nocturnes, Waltzes, and my favorite - the “Raindrop Prelude” Op. 28 No. 15 - I feel like he’s speaking to me, like we’re connecting, like we’re making music together even though we’re centuries and continents apart. He may be a genius French-Polish Romantic living in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century, and I may be an average Chinese-American girl living in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2019, but I still feel connected to him in a deep way that I can’t quite put into words.
Fryderyk Chopin himself has a quote, “Bach is an astronomer, discovering the most marvellous stars. Beethoven challenges the universe. I only try to express the soul and the heart of man.”
I think this is part of why I love him so much - his music has a raw emotional quality to it that just speaks to me on a highly personal level. Maybe it’s my depression and everything I’ve gone through, but I feel that I can really relate to him.
So Happy Birthday, our dear Frycek. You may be long gone, but maybe it’s better this way - maybe I’m meant to connect with you through your life and music as a girl from hundreds of years in the future. You may have died more than a century ago, but your music and legacy live on and continue to touch countless lives to this day. You’re more than my favorite composer - you’re my favorite historical figure, and not only that, you’re someone I have a deep and indescribable but powerful emotional connection with.
Happy 209th Birthday, Frédéric François Chopin. Some people joke to me that I’m in love with you, and I always laugh awkwardly in response, but maybe that’s true. I definitely feel a stronger connection with you than any other historical figure, and not to mention I talk more about you than any other person, living or dead. Your story and especially your music fire up a passion in me and touch my heart, and I always feel the need to express how I feel about you. I may get some awkward jokes at my expense fired at me as a result, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Happy Birthday Chopin, and I know that you’ll continue inspiring me and countless others for years to come.

🎶Made for @lovesquarefluffweek Day 1 - Concert 🎶
Please, click on the picture to see it in full resolution, it looks awful when small and Kwamis are hardly seen.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
It’s the first time I take part in event like this. When I noticed concert day, I knew I need to do this, since instrumental music is my the biggest passion. I love jazz and classical piano so much, even though piano is not my favourite instrument.
It's great to combine my love for Miraculous and instrumental/classical music. I'm not a musician, but I can do it by drawing a fanart which illustrates music scene with my favourite side of Love Square.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
It’s one of my first attempts at drawing humans from years, I’ve never been good at it, Miraculous gives me lots of motivations to improve my terrible skills. I prefer drawing things like animals or various creatures (so also Kwamis), but humans are getting more and more enjoyable. So there’s lots of anatomy mistakes and so on, but it’s not too bad for now, I guess. Despite I made many improvements during drawing it, there’s still something wrong with Marinette’s face and I couldn’t fix it enough.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Some background for this fanart:
I imagine it’s a first private concert which Adrien is playing specially for Marinette, he even rents a concert hall (he’s rich and romantic enough to something as much extravagant) when it’s not used. It’s not just one piece or two, he’s playing about 1-hour long piano recital (look at playlist below) only for his girlfriend (and magical creatures). It’s post-reveal, so Kwamis also can enjoy it without being hidden. While Tikki is excited about it not less than Marinette, Plagg is more interested in his Sugarcube, since he’s used to listening to Adrien’s piano and sometimes he’s playing with him. But rather cheerful jazzy-like improvised pieces, because he doesn’t like classical as much, especially sad compositions (Feast gave me some thoughts like these). Adrien decides to give a concert in a melancholic theme (so slow, soft, beautiful etc. pieces are played) to make this date as much romantic as he can. Even though blond boy is usually closing his eyes while playing on piano (like many instrumentalists), he can’t stop staring at his sweet girlfriend with his signature soft look™.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
One of my the biggest wishes is to see a scene when Adrien is playing on piano specially for Marinette, any good composition (I don’t like that one from Heart Hunter), preferably classical one. And I’d love to see an episode with a classical instrumentalist based akuma, rock and pop are not the only musical genres out there.
Classical music (and instrumental music in general) is highly unappreciated, so I'm happy when it’s represented in media, especially kid shows. This is what I love the most about classic cartoons, there’s lots of classical music. The Cat Concerto, Tom and Jerry episode which won an Academy Award, is one of the best examples of very creative use of classical piece for a slapstick comedy. Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 was even played by two pianist, by classical and jazz ones.
Classical music can be enjoyed by anyone who has some passion to music at least. It’s a very eclectic type of music where you can find everything. Classical is not only over 1-hour symphonies, there’s also compositions shorter than typical radio-friendly song. It’s not only serious music, classical can be also playful with very catchy melodies. Everyone can find something for themselves.
🎹🎹🎹🎹 Playlist 🎹🎹🎹🎹
I'm also enjoying choosing played pieces so much and it's too hard, since there's tons of beautiful piano music, though I know only a very small part of classical world. It’s about one-hour long concert, so also recordings were chosen to last about 1 hour together.
As sonata is a musical form with several movements (usually three or four) and since not all of them fit melancholic theme of this concert, Adrien play only one or two selected movements. For example only the first movement of extremely popular Beethoven's Moonlight sonata - Adagio sostenuto - is that dark and sad piece which everyone knows. The shortest second movement Allegretto is still not fast but quite cheerful, while the last Presto agitato is... Check it yourself, it's one of my favourites music moments ever. 😊
I also decided to try selecting lesser-known compositions (but it doesn't mean they are all little-known) to promote them, so there's a chance than maybe someone gives this music a shot and discover something new to appreciate.
Fryderyk Chopin - Nocturne in B flat minor, Op. 9 No. 1 - I couldn't choose anything else for the beginning. Nocturnes are my favourites Chopin's compositions and this one I love the most. No word describe how much I adore it, it's the most beautiful piece ever composed.
Franz Schubert  - Minuet in A Major, D. 334  - The first time I heard it, I thought about Adrien. I think this short sweet piece describes his childlike innocence quite well.
Fryderyk Chopin - Prelude Op.28 No.15 in D Flat Major, "Raindrop" - This thing is shown on the screen of Adrien's smartphone in few episodes (like Captain Hardrock), but for some reason it's not what's actually played. I have no idea if it was supposed to be played, but was changed after rendering was done or it's just an error. It's so nice composition, though not my favourite Chopin's prelude, even if it's the longest one. Unfortunately, the piece which is actually heard in the show is unknown for me, I'd love to discover it, but I can't. All I know it's definitely not any other Chopin's prelude.
Ludwig van Beethoven - Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat major, Op. 110 - I. Moderato cantabile molto espressivo and III. Adagio ma non troppo – Allegro ma non troppo - It’s almost the whole sonata, the only missing thing is the shortest second movement. It's probably my favourite piano sonata, so I couldn't not choosing it.
Franz Liszt -  Consolation No. 3 in D-Flat Major, S. 172 - If once I wonder why I love this, this is because it's so Chopin-esque.
Franz Schubert - Piano Sonata No.16 in A minor D.845 -  I. Moderato - I discovered this wonderful composition thanks to Nodame Cantabile, my favourite anime and manga ever, which is focused on classical music college students and professional classical musicians. Two main characters are also opposites who learn much from each other. I gave a link to the performance made specially for Nodame Cantabile, because I'm mostly attached to it. Usually this piece is played faster and it kills the atmosphere in my opinion. This rendition is the most emotional I've ever heard.
How would be this list without any French composers? I believe Ravel and Debussy are a mustm since they are the most known and important, I believe, and I also added something from Satie, because he wrote lots of soft compositions for piano solo. Chopin was also half-French (from his father), but: "Chopin's biographer Adam Zamoyski writes that he never considered himself to be French, despite his father's French origins, and always saw himself as a Pole." (source: Wikipedia) Besides Chopin's music is very Polish.
Maurice Ravel -  Jeux d'eau
Claude Debussy -  Rêverie
Erik Satie -  Gnossiennes: No. 1 - Lent
Maurice Ravel  - Ma mère l'Oye, M. 60: I. Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant  - finish it with something very short but so beautiful.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Many beautiful things are missing, probably the most fitting for this concert would be Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3, since it's love music essentially, but it's too well-known (one of the most popular if not the most popular compostion by Liszt) and I'm kind of tired of this. I'm also very sad because of Chopin's Prelude in E Minor, but two pieces of the same composers are enough and this is his the most known prelude, too. I couldn't not recommend this jazz trio cover, because it's too good, too atmospheric though a different take on this theme.
Jazz musicians are often turning compositions into something much different. Everyone knows Beethoven's Für Elise, one of the best- known and (in my opinion) boring classical pieces in existence, but this jazz trio cover (sorry, I can’t find it outside of Spotify and other streaming services, it’s a very niche band) is just outstanding, I can't stop listening to it! Jazz arrangements of classical music is something I love so much.

Awww. I love Glaciator. I noticed that about the Chopin Raindrop Prelude. I actually paid close attention to it because I wanted to learn what he was playing on the piano, but the audio doesn’t match, unless I’m being dumb or deaf and missing something. What’s playing is in C Minor (despite the fact that the screen says D Major) and sounds nothing like the Raindrop Prelude??? I scoured the internet for any Miraculous Ladybug soundtrack numbers but couldn’t find that piece. So I just came to the sad conclusion that a full piece doesn’t exist and the snippet was written only for that scene, so if I wanted to play it I’d have to write the rest. Sigh. (Not that I can compose, but I really really wanted to play it.) But if it is a real piece and anyone can give me more info about it (a name, the audio track, the sheet music), please tell me! ^^;;;; I’ve posted about this before but no one knew, haha.
I also wanted to learn the piece he was playing in Captain Hardrock...

So, as threatened, I watched Glaciator in Japanese (sorry that there aren’t subs), and there were a couple things I completely missed before that really amused me.
Like Adrien setting his phone to play Chopin’s Prelude Op. 28 No. 15 “Raindrop”. I’ve had him play that before (and a ton of Chopin besides) in my stories, but I totally missed that he had that as one of his practice songs.
I did notice this before, but now I’m actually commenting on it. So, when the group heads out for ice cream, they’re at the Trocadéro, but then then say they’re going to the Pont des Arts. That’s not a walking distance thing. I mean, you technically could, but…Métro would be way faster, and it’s not expensive. That being said, it looks like they’re walking because the Métro station is in the opposite direction. I would personally take the number nine line to Franklin D. Roosevelt, transfer to the number one line, get off at Louvre-Rivoli, and then walk to the Pont des Arts from there. Maybe a real Parisian would know a better way, but that’s what I would do. It would maybe take, like, twenty minutes. Walking…my maps app says that that’s two and a half miles.
Tikki’s voice in the Japanese version is the cutest thing! I think Japanese!Tikki is my favourite.

Just putting it out there, but Wayem and his male friend are getting sweetheart ice cream together, and they look pretty enthusiastic to see one another. May I suggest that Wayem has a boyfriend? They’re kind of adorable.
I’m a little surprised that Ivan doesn’t know about Marinette’s crush on Adrien. Perhaps he hasn’t been paying attention.

This scene makes me so happy. ^.^
