I wish Kon and Kyle Rayner interacted more outside of the issues where they teamed up because Kyle was probably one of the rare adults at the beginning of Kon’s career who didn’t want anything out of him.

Instead, in the short time Kyle was in Hawaii for a work assignment he talked to Kon and offered to teach him how to draw. Kyle recognized that Kon was a kid who did not have an outlet outside of being Superboy and he wanted to help him out.

This interaction is so important for Kon’s character at this point in time because a major theme that he constantly deals with is “who am I?”

We then see Kon giving this art thing another shot despite being so frustrated with it in the beginning. This also shows the small impact that Kyle had on Kon in that short period.

He likes to play pranks on you, and you do them back, it's mutual with your emotions sometimes and it's nice for Floyd. He rarely ever feels bored with you

You give up so many things for him. Don’t you know that’s a sort of weakness Shrimpy? Fine. I guess he’ll just have to protect you and always be around you

Finds it funny how impulsive you get. It's really entertaining to watch someone who was just scolding him for being so reckless to then being reckless yourself. It’s like you two share moods swings or something

But now you’re in a mood…so now he’s also in a mood. Domino effect. Shrimpy’s mad, then so is Floyd. Just how it works 🤷‍♀️

He’ll be ticked off with you over whatever it is, unless you’re mad at him, then he’ll just be all snarky back at you.

If you two even attempt to interact in your little moody fits, then they’ll be filled with yelling and bickering galore

You will always have to resolve a situation, but Floyd will eventually give in since you do make him happy

“Mmmm, Shrimpy!” Floyd singsongs as he comes into the lounge of Ramshackle, completely uninvited. You jump and look up from your papers you were working on, giving him a look that conveyed something on the lines of “the hell are you doing here?”

You could tell he was bored already, his demeanor not being too hard to decipher. He walks over to you and flops down on the couch, wrapping his arms around and squeezing.

“I’m bored. Let’s go beat some people up for Azul. It’d be fun!” He murmurs against your shoulder. “You can just watch. But it’s more fun if you’re there.”

“Not now, Floyd. Not ever really. If people owe Azul money you don’t have to beta them up...plus I have…homework.” You sigh out as his arms constrict you even more.

“What? You always have time for me. Cmonnnn, for me? You’ll make me cry, Shrimpy.” He pouts and nuzzles his head against yours.

You’ve had this homework for about a week. You’ve been pushing it off for other tasks you needed to get done and him annoying now was not helping one bit with getting it out of sight and out of mind.

“Not today. Aren’t you supposed to work a shift?” You grumble, your hands going to his arms and trying to pry him off of you.

“Yes. But I don’t feel like it. I came all this way and you’re trying to kick me out? You’re so boooorrriiiinggggg.” He huffs.

You turn your head to look at him. “Look. I don’t have time for this. I need to get my work done. You can go and take your ass somewhere else so I can have peace and quiet to do this!”

He’s stunned for a second, then he smiles. “Aweee, looky, why are you so mad? You can just do it another time—“

“Floyd. Leave. Get out of here. I. Have. Shit. To. Do.” You say sternly, finally managing to wiggle out of his arms.

Bickering and insults are thrown back and forth and he eventually goes quiet. He huffs and glares at you as he walks out, his feet stamping against the ground.

You can’t help but feel bad for what you did, you felt like you went maybe a bit too far, so after you finished your work, you decided to swing by Octavinelle and apologize.

He whines about how unfair it all was, but he accepts your apology. He gets it in a way.

You’re stuck with him for the rest of the time now. Have fun.

Well, he finds it quiet enjoyable to say the least

He loves the attention you give him and how you almost baby him in a way. It’s just adorable and also beautiful in its own ways

That sweet look you give him makes him swoon right on the spot. You’re truly a work of art in his eyes, dare he say that you have just a tad bit of shine to you that Vil has to him. He means it, even if it sounds harsh…

If he pops up out of nowhere, you gently scold him and tell him don’t do that, then you go and look him over before deeming he’s alright

He finds you attentiveness to his well being peculiar but he appreciates it so much. Guess what, he finds that so beautiful, obviously

But what is this? You dare try and be coy right back at him, a hunter? Now he’s even more immersed

You try and get back at him for frightening you sometimes, trying to cross his path and pop out of nowhere like he seamlessly does

You’re just causally walking back to class with Grim, well, Grim is yapping away about certain mundane topics that are particularly bothering him more so today than any other day.

It’s annoying, the unceasing whining spilling from his mouth, but you’re fine! Just ignore him then maybe he’ll shut up…or he’ll talk louder. Guess he’ll do that.

“Grimmy, look, as much as I care for you, I honestly really don’t care for—“

Rook just appears basically from thin air and smiles wide. You lock eyes with him and let out a yelp as you back up and trip over an uneven tile in the pathway.

Rook, being him, catches you, but you smack him away and yell at him, spitting out strings of curses and insults.

“What the fuck?! Why did you do that? Get off of me you stupid— I hate you!” You huff as you manage to finally stand up and glare at him.

His smirk falters ever so slightly as his gaze on you softens. You knew you mate have said some bad things just because of that.

“I…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that. You just…scared the absolute shit out of me. Did I hit you too hard? Please tell me if I did? I didn’t mean it I promise. I just got scared, and I was distracted and in my head—“ your attitude switches up almost instantly.

Rook l lives for this, though, the way your honeyed words just stream out. It’s too beautiful! And the way you apologizes to earnestly! Ahhh, makes him just swoon!

“Hey…are you ok?”

“Why, of course, Trickster.” He smiles even more brightly now. “My apologizes for frightening you so. That was not my intention, though that burst of passionate emotion was absolutely beauté! Magnifique!” He chuckles and keeps strict eye contact with you that’s actually pretty unsettling.

“Sure…thanks? So…you’re ok?”

“Splendid, Prefect.”

You nod your head and give him a small glare before you look back at Grim who’s cowering behind a bench, his ears flattened and his tail swaying as he also glares heavily at Rook.

“Yea…ok then. I’ll see ya later, Rook. Be safe.”

“Such caring ways. Your personality is truly gorgeous.”

This is oddly new for him at least, I mean isn’t he supposed to be the one who’s supposed to care. Sure it may be fabricated some most, but this is awkward…

He loves it though, secretly, the way that you check in on him and offer to help with all his duties. He eats it the fuck up

But there’s also this nagging feeling that he shouldn’t have your care or worry, like he’s not deserving of it. But, like mentioned, he enjoys it

He thinks you’re too caring in some ways and it ticks him off sometimes. He can carry himself, he has been, so lay off a bit for the future

But don’t stop…

you like to be playful. What? Does he have another Kalim? Sevens bless him if you try anything

He isn’t quite fond of your playful side in hindsight, but he’ll warm up to it since you do it because it means you’re just acting the way you do when you’re relaxed

He’s actually irked a little by the switch ups and he’s not so fond of them. He mainly tries to be perfect as to not make people mad so he’s kinda confused as to why you’re being like that, especially if that anger is targeted towards him

I mainly think he wouldn’t do anything to make you mad— besides overworking himself…

He’ll basically just try to avoid you

He doesn’t care that much or find your outbursts amusing like the others maybe do, thus why he just tries to avoid you and stay clear of your path if he’s not the one the emotions are directed to

If he is the one you’re mad at…he’ll just try and deescalate the situation, possibly make it worse with snippy comebacks, or just completely up and ignore you. One of those options, if not all three, he’ll do

He tenses up, his back muscles going taught as he stops stirring whatever he was cooking in the large pot at the moment. You burst through the kitchen doors, phone held in one hand as you finally take a breath in to calm your nerves.

“Why does Kalim keep spamming me about how you haven’t been doing well? Look I’m just…the calls are annoying. So what’s going on? Mind explaining.” You huff. Your shoes click against the linoleum tiles of the kitchen as you take a spot next to him. You lean against the counter and cross your arms.

Jamil has been overworking…again. But that’s not really anything new. You’ve tried to school his habits before but to no avail, it’s like it’s engraved into him or something. Kalim isn’t really helping all that much. One time he overheard a conversation between you and Jamil and he’s been informing you every time he notices something odd and or off with Jamil.

“Kalim was literally blowing up my phone. Y’know, if you took care of yourself a bit better than maybe I wouldn’t be spammed when Kalim sees you even yawn.” You narrow your eyes at him, your gaze critical.

“That’s not my fault. If you didn’t bring it up in the first place around him he wouldn’t be doing anything. You’re pointing fingers at the wrong person.” He hisses back, giving you and equal glare back.

You let out a puff of air and let your shoulders slump forwards. “Sorry. Look, I care. A lot. And I may get mad but…just put in a little more effort here to just stay alive a bit better each day.” You murmur.

Jamil’s gaze dies down and softens into a ponderous look as he puts all his attention back to the pot that’s steaming.

“You shouldn’t care.”

“But I do…”

“It’s kinda stupid. I can carry my own just fine. Calm down. You’re just overreacting over something so little.” He shakes his head.

“Everyone needs a little help every now and then. I’m just…kindly reminding you.” You shrug.

“If bursting in here and blaming me for Kalim being a nuisance is a “friendly reminder,” then I’m scared to see what other things you’ve got to say.” He sighs.

“Don’t get all smart with me. You know what I meant. Anyways…seriously. Save both of our asses here. Just go to sleep a bit earlier than usual. It’ll make a difference.” You smile at him fondly, that look he’s grown to have a love hate relationship with.

He rolls his eyes and finally lets his muscles destress. “You’re so stupid it’s sickening.”

“Well, at least I’m stupid enough to care.”

Hi!! I love your art and OC's!! I was wondering who does each person get along with/like the most from all the characters, and who do they like the least/get annoyed with?

Thank you🥺 I’m just gonna hone in on the boys. I like yapping about the web of characters they interact with (it extends beyond what’s labeled here, but. I’m kinda just shooting off.)

There’s pictures this time, be warned. And some descriptions are longer than others because I answered this on different nights with different headspaces 😭 …over a span of weeks, and even then? I don’t think I managed to cover everything I’d like to nor articulate it correctly. Just fill in the blanks.

Emilio Estrada-Alvarez 🦜

🦜 It’s not that he likes vice-housewarden Jamil exactly (Emilio doesn’t like a ton of people), but he does go out of his way to be appease to him since it’s in his better interest. He practically parrots what he says at times. Jamil exploits this insistence to please, but he can tell Emilio has ulterior motives. Albeit harmless, stupid ones, but motives nonetheless.

🦜 Ends up in a weird mutually beneficial situation where if Jamil is absent, and he can’t rely on the rest of the dorm to follow his backup plans/manuals for Kalim— Emilio is his go-to person to pick up duties. Things will run smoothly as a result.

🦜 All the while, Emilio gets to feel important and like he’s in charge and put those overly detail-oriented habits to use 👍

🦜 They get along… enough. Think Jafar and Iago. They do, but they also don’t. Emilio values praise from Jamil should he get it, and Jamil sometimes will listen to Emilio’s crapshoot ideas should they be useful.

🦜 Emilio actually gets along with Ortho the most. Detailed here.

🦜 Emilio had a bad encounter with Sebek on orientation day. That was enough to make Emilio detest him considerably. He was glad to know they’d be in separate dorms��� only for the lug to wander into Scarabia.

🦜 So not only was this guy rude and dismissive— he’s an absentminded fool, too! And put Scarabia’s orientation to a halt just to take this guy back to where he should be. So he gets his hand held?

🦜 On top of that? One of his biggest peeves is loud noises. This is the loudest person in existence. AND THE TRUE ICING? This is his classmate.

🦜 All of the above is rather petty, but Emilio is a petty diva.

🦜 Sebek does not acknowledge Emilio’s existence, and that annoys Emilio even more. It’s not like Sebek forgot him, it’s just that he literally does not care about his immediate peers all that much to begin with, Emilio is not a special case at all.

Cecil Mugwort 🌿

🌿 It’s… again, it’s not like Cecil LIKES Rook, it’s more like Rook is fascinated by him. They’re both in the Science Club, so encounters are frequent. He asks Cecil a lot of questions but strangely never gets too personal. He finds him very uniquely beautiful :3 Especially when Cecil focuses hardcore on whatever he’s working on. He can relate.

🌿 Cecil does not believe any of that flowery stuff Rook says, it’s not like the guy doesn’t treat everyone with similar gravitas. He thinks he’s a weirdo. Cecil sometimes mocks his manner of speech and generally tries to ignore him, but they run into each other far too much for that to be effective.

🌿 It’s very possible that Rook knows from observation that Cecil’s self worth is kind of on the lower side, so he’s careful not to intrude too much- BUT knows that Cecil needs someone to be persistent in order for him to open up. Rook in general is just persistent so it works out.

🌿 Similar things can apply to his classmate Kalim and roommate/classmate Silver. Cecil gets invited to parties but never goes, and he more or less can be himself around Silver.

🌿 Cecil by all accounts “gets along” with nobody, he just tolerates others around him since he’s not going to DO anything except snark. …Well—

🌿 Cecil is terrified of Jade, but Jade wants to be his friend :) Cecil does not like Jade’s vibes, not that he’s a big fan of either Leech twin, but this guy is the one who pokes his buttons the most.

🌿 C’mon. They like the same things :) I mushroom, he mushroom? He’s seen Cecil dabble in terrarium making, they should exchange information and specimen sometime!

🌿 Jade likes to… observe Cecil. Usually, he doesn’t outwardly provoke him, but that’s kind of by design. Cecil is just such a disaster and brings so much chaos wherever he goes, and Jade can’t help but wanna witness all of it. If not witness, then maybe have a have in setting the pieces in motion ☺️ it’s such a joy to watch and really fascinating.

🌿 HE IS WHAT RIDDLE IS TO FLOYD.

🌿 Jade wants Cecil to join his club. You know. :) For fun. Cecil refuses to be alone with Jade in any capacity. Anytime he’s out and something stupid happens to him, how come that eel somehow always manages to show up!? AAAAAAAA—

Nyoka Wadjet 🫖

🫖 If asked by a staff member or his housewarden, Nyoka will engage in some light tutoring for younger students. Assuming they agree to it. Outside of his own dorm, most do not.

🫖 Every now and then, he ends up tutoring Deuce on a semi-recurring basis. Even though Deuce tends to hide that for pride reasons (he wants to be an honor student but still needing extra help kinda negs at him sometimes, especially if someone like Ace exists to be kind of a shit about it), Nyoka doesn’t really care. It’s not like he advertises this.

🫖 Deuce is kinda… he can be kind of oblivious to what’s around him, and for whatever reason , never really caught onto the fact that most people avoid Nyoka. (…he’s quite literally venomous so it’s not entirely without reason…) He kind of knows nothing about him at all, actually.

🫖 He just thinks Nyoka is super cool and the guy is actually an honor student— and not only that he explains the material in a way he can understand. (But he also thinks the whole cobra beastman thing is dope)

🫖 If Deuce gets a higher score after the fact he’s extremely willing to jump straight into the cobras den and show him. Which would baffle anyone else.

🫖 Ironically, despite being the most aloof person here, the way Nyoka regards Deuce is probably the most normal. He surprisingly does not mind him at all.

🫖 He might not show it, but… that freshmen is okay. The forward enthusiasm over test scores can be a tad off-putting but… it’s a strange feeling to be relied on without pretense. 🤔

🫖 Nyoka fucking hates Idia.

🫖 Idia doesn’t know why! HE DIDNT DO ANYTHINGGGGGG

🫖 I can’t say what the deep reason is. Too lore heavy. But, the most I’ll say is that it’s less about Idia himself and more about the Shroud family in general.

🫖 Other than that he does actually dislike him though. It’s the little habits… they build up, and it seems like no matter what Idia does or doesn’t do, it bothers him to no end.

like there are so many things that draw me to these two, and ngl it definitely started with the whole pseudo-incest vibe but they really are so complex and you really hit the nail with this:

Just... they're so complicated and it sucks that people don't wanna explore that because of the preconceived notion that they're brothers, nothing more, nothing less. Sure, legally they are, but they don't... act like it? They didn't grow up together, they weren't very close before Jason died, and they only recently started getting properly close. Jason also has his crush thing going on (seriously, how else am I supposed to interpret RHATO v2 annual 1??)

Look I will forever maintain Dick was Jason’s gay awakening and that boy has been in love with Dick since he was what 12? 15? Also the way you described their relationship to each other was so delicious and alterous is such a great term for them.

I feel like jaydick becoming canon one day would be a natural progression of their relationship. Especially since they seem to be getting paired up as a duo more often. Readers love them, comic artists and writers like them too- i feel like jaydick actually happening one day wouldn't be extremely surprising.

Also re: dickbabs and not making certain characters bisexual I feel that on such a spiritual level. Like I’m sorry but both Jason and Dick read as queer to me? Idk how to describe it. Which is why I love the little touch of bi Dick in Gotham Knights.

Also speaking of Gotham Knights, I finally finished it and holy fuck what the fuck? One of my few complaints is that I wish it was longer. I need GK2: electric boogaloo but this time with a Poison Ivy case file because reasons. I adored every interaction Dick and Jason had, from the emails to the flirting in front of everyone’s salad, plus how they were almost always near each other? (also Jason looked so good in that post credit scene in the Batcave I choose to believe every time he wears it, Dick can’t keep his hands to himself 🫣)

ALSO

I genuinely feel like the writers were intending for jaydick to happen in a DLC given how much setup there is.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this? I want to yell about this game so much. I wish I had someone to play co-op with me so I could see some of those Jaydick interactions too 😞

GOD honestly i have a million thoughts on Dick and Jason's relationship in Gotham Knights?? Because what the HELL is going on in that game!!!

It utterly BAFFLES me when other people read their interactions (Belfry, cutscenes, whatever) as brotherly/familial bc like... if you're interacting with your family like that I'm so concerned?? Bc they're gay as hell!! They flirt the ENTIRE GAME. Like... it's ridiculous how in-your-face they are about it. It's not even gay subtext anymore, it's just... text. Saying they're not gay in Gotham Knights is like saying Jayce and Viktor were 'just brothers' in Arcane to me LMFAO.

Like... the rooftop scene for one reads as really BAD flirting on Dicks part. It doesn't feel like he's being deliberately silly to cheer up Jason until he fakes falling over the edge, THEN he's properly silly. The entire scene otherwise, he's just... being really bad at flirting? And it's funnier that both that and then him being silly actually kinda WORKS on Jason. He laughs (laughs!!), relents and let's Dick sit next to him! It's so, so cute!!

And then the little interaction where Dick says that the Belfry needs a cat, and then Jason suddenly flirts with him?? Like the line "Listen, Grayson, if you're scared of some mouse you saw scurrying, I'll keep you safe." Is ABSOLUTELY flirting, and this is only supported by A) the tone Jason has and B) the way Dick stutters and stumbles over his words afterwards. Like, Dick is AUDIBLY flustered and surprised by this. He tries sooo hard to keep it cool but that boys BLUSHING.

And then there's the tension in some scenes?? When they argue in the beginning and when Dick puts a hand on Jason's wrist (after Jason jokes about making Tim a fake ID), and kind of the scene where Jasons mad, and he's sparring with Dick and Dick catches his fist and says "Easy, Tiger." Like.... the tension in these scenes goes crazy?? The physical closeness, the eye contact, the brief silence, calling Jason tiger?? Like I CANNOT be crazy thinking that there's at least a LITTLE sexual tension in these moments. Juuuust a little 🤏

And like! Yeah you're 100% on them being so physically close most of the game. It's hard to find scenes where they AREN'T standing right by each other. And their stories focus a lot on each other!! At least Dicks story focuses a lot on Jason! Like... a LOT, it's 90% Dicks story ���

And the like,, nicknames. Dick calls Jason things like Big Guy, swole, and Miracules throughout the game, like, consistently. He points out Jason's size and strength a lot?? (His size and strength kink is so blatantly obvious, good lord this man is horny LMAO. I don't blame him though... 👀) and then Jason mainly calls him Grayson, but when he's being vulnerable he calls him Dick? Which is so cute?!

And a cute little detail is how angry Dick gets on Jason's behalf when Talia says they should be grateful she brought Jason back even though she took away his autonomy and used him. Like, Dick is PISSED! Lowkey he's so ready to throw hands right there.

And i think one of my favorite interactions is when Dick chooses to take Jason to a circus that's in town. Like! He's literally asking Jason out on a DATE. And it's the cutest thing ever?! Jason is surprised and it's just... it's so sweet.

And in general they have the sweetest interactions and emails. It's adorable how they kinda talk about Tim like they're proud parents, and it's also cute how they kinda bicker over the perfect sandwiches cause they sound like a married couple loll.

Just!! Auuggghhhh they're so CUTE in Gotham Knights! There's a mountain of setup there for a romantic relationship. It's very in your face, and honestly impossible to ignore if you have ears and eyes. I'm sure there's more i'm missing or just haven't mentioned, but it's so blatant it feels like it couldn't have been on accident.

Just... it's so cute, I'll never get over it 😭

Their first interaction was definitely just Harmonia trying to talk to her and making up random conversations, and Dahlia kinda just nodding along

I like to see it as Harmonia kinda becoming intrigued by her—like constantly talking to her during parties or going up to her whenever, like totally infatuated with her

School is keeping me from my goobers I promise I love them so much.

I wanted to redesign the hatchling architect from my fic a little bit.

I was contemplating how the architects would handle the idea of having “kids” because I wanted to explore it in the upcoming chapters I’m preparing. I’m going to yap for like 10 hours, likely just to myself but I need to yap so bad…

Biologically, I imagined they would have super expedited growth. The architects don’t seem like a society that would put up with children for 18+ years.

I have always thought that the Architects use energy from the environment to power their bodies. They are kinda like a walking chemical reaction, but that’s a whole other lore dump I have cooked up.

The hatchlings are very bad at doing this, especially from low energy substances, so they need an item brimming with react-able energy so they can easily interact with it, batteries and ion cubes being good examples of this. Adult architects can practically take energy from anything and use it more efficiently since they aren’t actively growing.

On their chest and back they have wispy projections (they aren’t spiky). These organs process raw chemical energy. They are external in hatchlings because, once again, the children suck at absorbing energy and need the quickest route possible to these structures. This does lead to extreme vulnerability in the hatchlings first couple of months since these organs are equivalent to a human heart. Luckily, they become internal over time as the hatchling grows.

Their horns act like dowsing rods, instinctively influencing them to stay near high power sources. The multiple prongs increase their detection range and serve a secondary purpose as defense if a hatchling were ever put in a dangerous situation. It is very unlikely this would ever happen, architects never leave a hatchling alone at any point in their first year of life.

The circumstances of an architects birth depends on where it is and the current state of the society. If the architect is born on the home world it will be with a brood of other hatchlings and raised with them for their entire conditioning process. If they are born on an external planet the circumstances are different and the hatchling is typically all alone.

Particularly important research colonies on external planets will build a variety of structures, including a nursery. They will typically house one in stasis architect fetus. The genetic material of this architect will be taken from the head researcher or leader of the colony and various other people of higher ranking in the group.

This hatchling is meant to function as an apprentice to the leader of the research mission. It is considered a high honor to be given a hatchling so directly, it indicates you have a high level of expertise in a particular field, whether that be in engineering, xenobiology, geography, etc. Once a planet is prepared for research it is expected that the head researcher releases the hatchling from their nursery and begins the process of conditioning immediately.

Architects produce their young through in vitro methods, extracting genetic material from themselves to use as gametes. They construct triangular “eggs” to place the fetus in, the shape simply being due to triangles being the strongest geometric shape. The “egg” is energetically controlled to provide the fetus with just enough energy to stay alive, but not enough to grow or be conscious, stasis essentially. In order to hatch a fetus an architect must provide some of their own energy to the facility’s control panel, in my fic Robin did this through her blood. A substantial amount of energy is not needed, it is only there to serve as a start signal to the facility to release a fetus.

The first few weeks of their lives are spent in one energy controlled nursery. The energy input to the room can be fluctuated to teach hatchlings how to take in energy in many environments, it is the first skill a hatchling is taught after walking. Hatchlings that don’t catch onto this skill quickly are culled. Culling occurs more often in large groups of hatchlings on the home world as each is not given direct attention at all times. Language is taught quickly after, taking a few days at most due to advanced programs.

The vessels of the hatchlings start off extremely simple, all looking identical in the first couple of weeks. External Inorganic components are sparse due to rapid growth and are added later to the hatchlings form.

The growth of a hatchling is extremely dependent on the role it’s being conditioned for. Architect’s are able to directly manipulate their form, not to the extent of a shapeshifter, but they can change structures such as their “hands,” horns, faceplate, legs, arms, and tail. It is more easily to manipulate these structures when an architect is young and rapidly growing, as their smaller vessels to not require an extreme amount of energy to morph.

An adult architect theoretically can manipulate their vessel, but it is considered crass and immature. It also takes much longer and much more energy to do.

Architects take different forms depending on their future jobs. AL-AN for example is a xenobiologist, he comes onto a new planet after it has already been scouted and colonized by other groups of architects, so he lacks any significant defensive structures on his vessel and instead had a more agile, small (by architect standards) vessel that focuses on controlling precise movements and working with advanced equipment such as inorganic limbs.

Extensive attention is given to an apprentice, it is extremely time consuming so they are rare and are almost always high ranking members of society right out of conditioning, expected to play a similar role to their teacher. Not all leaders accept the offer of an apprentice, as failing at this task is a huge stain on one’s reputation.

Large groups of hatchlings learn in a similar way, however, they are not all given the same amount of attention.

Whew…that was good to get off my chest. I’d be baffled if someone actually read all that word vomit. I fuckin love alien world building. This is all just stuff from my head that I tried to derive from the canon story.

Hehe megumi for the character ask

Yay! I got really excited to do this, actually, so thank you :)

My favorite thing about Megumi is that despite everything that has happened in his life, he still has that capacity for compassion and kindness. Even if I think he may doubt it, or only adhere to his version of it, it is clearly there from the first moment that his character is introduced. He’s an emotional bean, just a lot of it is inside.

Least favorite thing, is honestly really hard because I genuinely love his character through and through. Though I would say that a lot of the “potential man” stuff surrounding it is probably it for me. Just the perception of his character being reduced to what he’s capable of in sorcery, when he’s also just a teenage boy with a lot of trauma. He chose to live, which in my opinion was the biggest triumph for Megumi, and it’s sad to see that get taken away from him.

Favorite line, is from season one! When Gojo and Yuji are talking about him while he’s talking with Maki, and he goes “I’m irritated all of a sudden.” That was just so funny to me, and it’s also really cute because he doesn’t know Yuji is just so close to him and alive but he’s feeling it! This whole exchange is just so great to me.

BrOTP would have to be Maki I think, to me they’re both so similar and even though they are kind of stand off-ish with each other and have different views on things, I do believe they could have a very close friendship. Especially considering they’re the only two of their family that is left, even if it is very distant. Them bonding and being together is just very important to me, and I definitely think they’d have some exchange of empathy with each other over losing their siblings, and sort of filling that hole for one another in a way over time.

OTP is Yuji hands down, all the way in every flavor, I just love them both so much and Itafushi has become my favorite ship ever. They’re just so good together, I wanna put them in my pocket and keep them forever.

NOTP to me is really hard because I really don’t have a hard time shipping anyone with anyone, like, if there’s a will there is a way! But, I would have to say Naoya. I could never see them getting along or having a meaningful relationship of any kind, but again, they certainly have their place and I could see them having interesting interactions. So I don’t really oppose it, just more so I wouldn’t ship it like I would Itafushi or even Sukufushi and Gofushi.

Random head-canon, would be that Megumi loves back scratches and has fallen asleep to Nobara or Yuji running their fingers/nails over his back. He just seems like someone who has a hard time relaxing and this kind of affection is also very special to him, comforting, so he just kinda drifts off.

Unpopular opinion, is another one that’s kinda hard for me but I guess I would say that I think Megumi definitely has abandonment issues, and gets very clingy/possessive with people he’s close to. I know some people don’t view his character or personality that way, but I do, and maybe it’s not “unpopular” per say, but it’s one that I’ve seen disputed before, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Song I associate him with, would probably have to be “Bite The Hand” by boygenius, but there are so many more. A lot of them are Itafushi related though, so, this one is more so about Megumi specifically to me.

(Ok, I’m gonna basically repeat something I’ve already said in my mutual’s replies because the urge to yap about this has been keeping me up at night). Anyways, to me the drama of Dick and Jason’s pre-DITF relationship comes not from not from conflict between them (I don’t think Dick was mean to Jason for more than a day), but rather from the fact that the relationship never reached its full potential. I kinda see their relationship as somewhat paradoxical, while they do have a special connection on account of being in each other’s 1st brother, they’re not as close as they could’ve been, certainly not as close as Dick and Tim.

I just don’t think there’s any way they could’ve been super close. Dick is a young adult in a far away city dealing with his own life, realistically it’s not really his fault if he doesn’t have the time to hang with kid adopted brother every weekend. It’s not that I think that they never hung out, (there’s been retroactive additions to interactions between Dick and Robin Jason, which have been pretty cute for the most part), I just can’t see them being super best brothers. Maybe they could’ve gotten there if they had more time, maybe they were in the process of getting there, but Jason dies before they get the chance, the tragedy of their relationship comes from what could’ve been.

Another thing that leads me to this interpretation is the way Dick talks to Bruce about Jason’s death in Titans #55

Despite his intense reaction to the news earlier, when he talks to Bruce it sorta feels like he’s talking to Bruce about a relative that Bruce lost, but there’s a degree of separation between himself and Jason. Now this could totally just be me and no else see’s it that way, but that’s the vibe I got

But the main reason that I don’t think that Dick and Jason could have been particularly close follows the reasoning of “if Jason felt like he had someone like Dick Grayson looking out for him, he would’ve acted differently”. If there’s anything I think is a worthwhile take away from the infamous “Jason attacking Tim in Titans tower” issue is the part where Jason says something along the lines of “maybe if I had had the sort of friends Tim has, things would’ve gone differently for me”. Like YEAH Jason’s behavior pre-death does not align with the behavior of someone who has a robust social network/feels supported. He rushes to look for his mother after feeling rejected by Bruce because he’s desperate for family, and that sort of desperation doesn’t come out of nowhere. If Jason had felt like he had other lifelines I think he would’ve acted differently. So no I don’t think he could’ve had a super close knit relationship with Dick

To me the ultimate theme of Dick and Jason’s relationship pre death is “ mourning what could’ve been” which makes a great backdrop for all of the post resurrection drama. Like I genuinely lowkey think of brothers in blood as Jason’s honest attempt at brotherly bonding, he was leaving dead prey on Dick’s doorstep like a cat with a high prey drive. Murder just isn’t a love language for Dick the way it is for Jason 😔

“man, what a hypocrite he turned out to be!” rinku complains, watching the whole ordeal on the big screen. “ever since the dark tournament, all he’s said is — ‘ i gotta train, so i can beat that bloke urameshi!’ — then he gives it all up, for what? only a nice pair of legs and a cute butt, that’s what!” rinku continues as the rest of the group listen, before all of a sudden some girl pops up. “ oh there you are! it is you right? rinku, with the killer yo-yos in group 8?” the girl skips on toward rinku.

she introduces herself by the name of sasuga, yapping on how she entered the competition on a dare with her friends — but now only her and her other friend were left in the tournament from the preliminaries! “ anyways, i think you and me are gonna be matched together, which is great! just don’t be too rough on me, okay?” sasuga smiles, “ this is my first tournament.” she winks as she walks away, effectively placing hearts in rinku’s eyes.

“rinku?” the beautiful suzuki calls out, “what is it?” shishiwakamaru continues, as they see rinku’s love dazed state as he watched the girl walk away. “oh nothing..” rinku murmurs.

the beautiful suzuki turns to jin and touya and declares, “ at least the rest of us still have focus.” while at the same time, behind jin — another girl calling out for her friends could be heard.

“ sasuga? sasuga, where are you?” you yell, looking around frantically for your friend as you walk backwards. you weren’t looking on what was behind you as you accidentally bump into a certain wind master. you squeak out an, “eek!” as you fall, landing on his lap with your back facing him.

you turn around and see, jin? isn’t that the winner of group 46? both the beautiful suzuki and touya got visibly surprised, while jin just seemed– to stop working? “ y–you might be sittin’ on a rather private part there!” jin murmurs in a fast yet shy tone, his ears twitching at your weight on his lap. at first, you didn’t register his words — but when the shock wore off and you did register them, blood quickly rushed to your face as it reddened, with you quickly getting off his lap.

“ i–i’m so sorry!” you cry out, frantically bowing for the accident. jin slowly gets up, with all his friends carefully observing this interaction, rinku — who was finally out of his lovesick daze, was doing his best to hold back his laughter. “ i-it’s alright,” jin nervously smiles, it was clear that he was really flustered. “ were you looking for someone?” he asks, as you try your best not to make eye contact with him out of embarrassment of what just happened.

“ sasuga? the pretty lady?” rinku chimes in, he was still flustered about his interaction with your friend just a minute ago. you nod, and he points you in the direction she skipped away to.

you look where his finger was pointed and saw her, conversing with some random demon she must’ve found interesting. “ oh alright! thank you a lot!” you smile at the seemingly young demon, before turning around to jin, who seemed to be starstruck staring at you.

your smile quickly got a bit more shy as you speak, the words you speak to him making his ears twitch out of excitement. “ i–i’m sorry again! you’re jin, right?” you ask, looking at the wind master — to which he confirms by nodding.

“ well, i hope your next match goes well — i enjoyed watching your battle.” you smile at him, trying to mask your shyness with playfulness. “ bye bye now!” you exclaim as you try to walk away, only to feel a grasp on your wrist.

I’m tired asF but lately I’ve been thinking a lot more about my new dawn aus with the Stag or old Jacob and Eric like the environment, the interactions and their fucking perfect life who after thinking about it it’s not at all a perfect lige in the new world but just a prison lol

Over the course of the months after Chain and Miasma’s first interaction, Chain would watch the bigger ghoul from afar.

Chain would follow the ghoul around in the darkness, sometimes in the daylight, just observing what he was doing. Miasma noticed this, of course, the loud clanking of the chains around the ghoul’s waist wasn’t very good for being sneaky, but he pretty much ignored the ghoul, partly because he didn’t know how the ghoul would react and partly because of their last interaction.

Chain knew he was too obvious, and he knew he’d get in trouble for stalking and being around the supposedly ‘dangerous’ ghoul once Frater or his pack of ghouls found out, but Chain knew deep down that Miasma meant no harm at all. Miasma said it himself, and Chain knew he meant what he said.

In the end, Chain was just curious. He wanted to know everything about the ghoul. The new summons stuck to themselves and their pack, and the familiarity of this ghoul was comforting, despite the circumstances. Chain had gotten over the loss of Primo a while ago and he needed a new friend to fill a void.

One day, after one of Miasma’s Uno rehab sessions, he was walking back to his den and Chain stepped alongside him.

“Do you ever not argue with anyone?” Chain asked, trying to start up a conversation after months of not talking. “All I’ve seen is you being grumpy and you arguing about Sister Imperator,” Chain said. His hooded head was aimed at the ground and his scaley tail wagged, he seemed almost amused in a way.

Miasma had noticed. Whether it be finding a place to sleep when he was shunned out of the ghoul dens, or performing his little duties to prove he was stable enough to live as a normal ghoul, Miasma noticed the familiar presence stalking. He didn't know if he found it creepy, annoying, or comforting. Maybe all three. Creepy that he was seemingly so obsessed with him, annoying that he didn't know when he was being watched or not, and comforting that someone cared.

Miasma just walked out of a common area, after Copia and before the rest of the ghouls. He had a sour look on his face after some yelling had ensued a few minutes before hand, something of someone cheating. His mind was so fogged of anger he didn't notice Chain appear at first, jolting with a startle at his sudden speech. Miasma punched his eyebrows, looking forward as he talked.

"I'm not sure what you'd expect." Miasma rumbled. "When people don't like you they're gonna wanna argue. But no, I don't argue with everyone. I'm not arguing with you, am I? Or is that what you are trying to do right now?"

Miasma looked at the subtle wagging of Chain's tail, rolling his eyes at the mention of her, a topic he couldn't seem to get away from.

"I don't want to hear another word about Sister Imperator. She is one with the fuckin' earth now. Right where she belongs."

I’m ass at writing so this is like a rough draft for a story I’ll never write - get ready for a yap attack

Start: Cen doesnt like Skipp, not like overly hates him but would choose to ignore him if offered. Skipp just feels kinda awkward around him. (Silly headcannon Skipp avoids interacting with other hobos since he feels more pressure to make a good first impression. Since he wants people like him to like him, more than he wants a rich person to)

Skipp Starting to gain feelings: After they’ve interacted quite a bit Skipp would think about Cen more often. Not a whole lot but he’d cross his mine more than usual. And Skipp couldn’t tell if his imagination was getting in the way of his memories. Like did Cen actuallyyy smile a bit when they glanced at eachother, would it even matter if he did?

Cen starting to gain feelings: he would catch the romance bug later than Skipp, but only by like a month. and would get it without realizing. Wanting to go by this tent first to try and force some money out of him for a newspaper, or making quick comments about him to Rigel before changing the subject.

Confession: they’d be around each other for some reason, it doesn’t really matter the place but somewhere with music because idk that’s romantic right? Stone and Vinnie would be drunk as shit like in that Christmas art zeddyzi did, leaving Skipp behind and Cen sliding in to talk. At some point Cen would make an off hand comment about liking him, trying to drop it as casuallyyyy as possible, even with his loud mouth. And neither of them would do anything about it because they’re awkward losers.

Actually dating: idk I didn’t think that far. Also it’s 1am
