Please guys go read Software Entropy by @clubsheartsspades (I hope you don’t mind the tag!)

It literally destroyed me. I forced my sister to read it and it destroyed her too. I just had to draw something for it because I couldn’t get this quote out of my head, but I couldn’t possibly do the scene justice in the same way as in the fanfiction so you need to go read it yourself

All the ‘zona dads + Brits + Iskall completely fucking losing it at the Hot Ones Challenge.

A couple of them tap out.

& Joe Hills just walks up, eats the ENTIRE FUCKING NUMBER 8 WING, & washes it down with COKE.

& then proceeds to do the same with the LAST TWO WINGS, just taking leisurely taking bites of his wings, nodding as he considers the flavors, a sip or two of Coke here or there.

Puzzlevison screenshot redraw!! On paper!! With water color!! Wahoo!!

I don’t have much credible experience with coloring traditional art—usually just doodling or sketching in my spare time for fun. But I’ve wanted to try expanding the different mediums I use and letting myself learn from them. It’s a nice change of pace and allows me to take a step back from responsibilities. And I’ve needed an excuse to keep working in this sketchbook so here we are!! I think in the end of this I might’ve treated the watercolors too similar to acrylic paints lol. Ah oh well all part of the ✨learning experience ✨

#alia talks #turning 25 this month and I was having some semi existential crises this month #but I was thinking #when I was 18 I dropped out of [prestigious uni] half way thru first sem bc I couldn’t hack it #stayed T home and did community college for 3 years before transferring to [comparatively mid tier ranked] uni #I used to feel so much shame over it #And fear over whether or not I’d get a job move out etc #But now that I’m halfway thru my 20s I’ve been looking back #and as of right now I’m the only person in my family with health insurance #One of the things my parents used to warn me about was that by age 26 you cannot be in your parents insurance in the USA #So by that point I needed to have a full time job #And I used to be scared ghat I’d never make it #And now I’m a year away from 26 #And I’m employed full time w health insurance coverage #Meanwhile both my parents are currently unemployed/self-employed #And most likely cannot ever get a full time job for [reasons]#And my younger sibs don’t have health insurance due to being uni students #(I mean they do through their college maybe)#Just that currently in my family I’m the only one with health insurance through my job #Something I was afraid I wouldn’t have at this age or something that I’d lose #And after nearly 7 years of having ShameTM over it

expanding on my thoughts on jack a bit today…. like i’ve said before i think he uses crutches for chronic joint pain because like. i can’t quite remember the actual canon details but the way i’ve been picturing things is that since the cult’s ritual failed/was interrupted, jack’s transformation wasn’t able to be fully completed. so while he has some eldritch god-knows-what in him, he’s stuck in a permanent state of Transition. which is bad! that’s not meant to happen! so while a lot of his body changed (longer limbs, claws, sharper teeth) a lot of the like. genetics behind it hadn’t been transformed yet if that makes sense. so he has longer limbs, but his joints aren’t on par to handle all of that, leading to the joint pain. which is one of like 300 issues that arises from being the victim of a failed ritual but it’s become very important 2 me

#icarus speaks #creepyposting #sorry so everyone who read the first part of this and thoguht this would be cjack #i have. brainrot #this stems from something i talked about a LONG time ago #where i really tend to dislike a lot of ‘transformation’ parts of pastas #where they completely ignore the realistic ramifications for the sake of being ‘scary’#jack’s is the one i’m the most okay with (i have no problem with it honestly) but it feels odd to re-analyze like 90% of the cast-#-through this light but not him #so i wanted to play with the like. the consequences of doing That to the human body #if his limbs get longer (common trope in ‘uncanny valley’ stuff imo) how would that affect him?#i also think his constant hunger stems from his only halfway-transformation #his hunger is of a being much larger than him. one able to unhinge its jaw even and eat large chunks of its prey #but jack. Isn’t that. he can only eat as much as a human bc his mouth and esophagus have not changed (asides from the teeth)#so no matter how much he eats his body needs more #yes this but was inspired by falin. it just makes sense okay
