ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ REBLOGS ´ ᯅ ` FEEDBACK.
Tumblr media
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ LEE HEESEUNG.
you walk into your apartment, dropping your keys onto the counter as you slip off your coat. your tired expression is replaced with a bright smile when you see heeseung watching tv on your couch. you sit down next to him, gaining just enough energy to ask if your son is asleep.
“yeah, he actually went to bed pretty early today,” he stands, “do you want something to eat? i saved some food for you, i just need to heat it up.”
you nod, watching him walk away before closing your eyes. the exhaustion of your job has finally caught up to you and you might’ve fallen asleep if not for heeseung’s updates about him and your son’s day.
lee heeseung is your own personal angel, you think. your neighbor turned babysitter turned weird situationship; at least in your perspective. he takes care of you almost as much as he takes care of your three year old son. he’s at your apartment more than he is his own (that’s mainly your fault) and you’ve grown used to coming home to him almost every day.
you hear him say your name and your eyes flutter open to see the sympathetic smile he has on his face and it’s so gorgeous, he might as well break your heart now before you fall for him any deeper.
“it’s okay if you sleep for a bit, you’re tired,” he says oh-so matter-of-factly, because he knows you now, “i’ll wake you up in an hour.”
it’s more than an hour later, when you feel heeseung’s hand on your cheek, rubbing under your eye. he notices you beginning to wake up and pulls his hand away, “you should go eat now, ‘kay? the food is on the counter. i’m gonna go ahead and go home."
you sit up, frowning, “sorry, but can you stay? just until i finish eating, i’m sorry.”
he stares at you, silent for what feels like hours, and it makes you regret opening your mouth. you blame it on your drowsiness—you know that if you were in your right mind you wouldn’t have asked him even if you really did want him to stay. to your surprise, however, he grins.
“yeah, i can stay.”
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ PARK JONGSEONG.
you send jay a text, apologizing for the fifth time this month for backing out on your date. he’s probably becoming more annoyed with you each time you cancel, but it’s really not your fault.
for the past few days you haven’t been able to find a babysitter for your daughter. her usual one, jaehyun, was out of town, and your back up sitters all had plans or ended up canceling last minute due to personal problems.
you rise from your position on your couch, deciding you should get dinner started for the two of you. before you’re able to, however, you hear a set of soft knocks on your door. you go to open it without bothering to look out the peephole, figuring it was one of your neighbors coming to ask for something.
“hello—oh. jay?” your eyes widen when you process the fact that it’s your boyfriend at the door. he was probably the last person you expected.
“hey,” he gives you that smile that never ceases to make your heart almost stop.
“why’re you here? wait, nevermind. i’m really sorry about canceling last minute, the babysitter couldn’t come,” while you’re talking, you gesture for jay to come inside, shutting the door once he slips off his shoes.
“i’m not mad, these things happen,” he places a kiss on your forehead, lifting up a bag of groceries, “i figured we could still have dinner together, just with an extra person.”
“jay, you didn’t have to. i feel bad.”
and he really didn’t, but he did.
“i was going to buy dinner anyway. a home cooked meal is better, no?” he walks further into your apartment, setting down the bag on the small counter. “where’s gen at?”
“oh, she’s in—”
genevieve cuts you off, all but squealing as she runs out of her room with a toothy grin, “mommy, jj’s here?”
you don’t have time to scold her for running in the house because she immediately throws herself into jay’s arms, the man picking her up with ease, “woah. hey, sweet girl. what are up to, huh?”
you smile as they have a conversation, acting like best friends who haven’t seen each other in months. it melts your heart—genevieve liked jay from the day that she met him all those months ago and you know that jay loves genevieve like she’s his own. he’s definitely someone you want to keep around for as long as possible, if not for you but for your daughter as well.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ SIM JAEYUN.
your two kids run up to your best friend, fighting each other for a spot in his arms. they don’t fight for long because he easily lifts the two children up. he says hi to them and asks them about their day before stepping inside your apartment and kicking the door shut. once his conversation with the kids dies out, he looks at you with a smug smile on his face.
“they like me more than you,” he says instead of a normal greeting.
“that’s because you spoil them every time they see you.”
“they like me because i’m me,” he sticks his tongue out at you, “huh, guys, you love me, don’t you? your mommy’s just jealous.”
“you’re actually annoying,” you reach up, taking advantage of his occupied hands, flicking his forehead and quickly escaping to your kitchen before he can even think to retaliate against you.
he immediately sets the twins down, telling them to go play while he goes to help you with whatever you’re doing. he waits until he hears the faint sound of them pulling out their toys to go towards your makeshift hideout.
he creeps up behind you, being as quiet as possible. you’re popping a bag of popcorn, thankfully too focused on that than him and his whereabouts. he stifles a laugh, poking your side hard enough for you to curl in on yourself.
“oh my fu—jake, what the heck?” you scold him, hitting his shoulder.
he laughs, holding his hands up in surrender, “sorry! i had to get you back. i think you gave me a concussion.”
he assumes you notice the popping slowing down and you turn away from him, taking the bag out of the microwave. he can’t see your face but he knows you’re rolling your eyes when you speak, “please, i barely touched you.”
“that’s what you think.”
you don’t give him the pleasure of the response, ignoring him to instead pour the bag of popcorn into a bowl.
“thank you,” you say suddenly, turning around once more, “i was thinking and, you know, i don’t really say it enough.”
“you don’t–” he starts to say, but you interrupt him by grabbing his hand and lacing your fingers together.
“i do. you’ve been really helpful lately. so, thank you.”
“um”, he hesitates, “i love them and i love you. ‘course i’m gonna help.”
you smile, dropping jake’s hand and going back to preparing for your weekly movie night. he misses the warmth of your hand almost instantly, and he has to resist the urge to pull you back against him in a hug.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ PARK SUNGHOON.
he can’t help but think that this is too crazy to be a coincidence. you, the pretty mom he gained a mini-crush on at the park a couple months ago, now at his house with your son who just so happens to be his son’s new best friend. maybe whatever divine being that’s up there finally took pity on him and decided to give his bleak love life some color.
he slides over a glass of cold water to where you’re sitting and the smile of gratitude you give him could probably cause car crashes from how dazzling it is. sunghoon can see your lips moving, but can make out no sound. he’s too dazed from being in your presence to process anything other than the fact that you’re sitting in his house.
“...live with you.”
he comes back to reality, only catching the end of your sentence and blinks, “what? sorry, i spaced out."
obviously, he’s going to need more context because logically he knows you aren’t saying what he thinks you are—you’ve only known each other for a month—but he can’t think of anything else that would make sense.
“theo said he wanted to come live with you and yejun,” you say, amusement dancing across your face.
“oh,” he takes in your words, “really?”
“yeah, he was begging me earlier. so..” you pause to take a drink and he has to look away, “if you’re okay with it, can he spend the night?”
he agrees to it with a little too much enthusiasm. of course, this is mainly for yejun and theo—strengthening their friendship, helping them gain a lasting relationship or whatever—but it gives him an excuse to see you again tomorrow.
around twenty minutes later, sunghoon walks you out, his hands in his pockets. you told the boys about the sleepover, said bye to the both of them, told theo to be good and that you love him.
“i have a spare toothbrush and he can wear some of yejun’s pajamas, so don’t worry about coming back.”
“okay, perfect. um, i’ll see you tomorrow?”
“yeah, tomorrow,” he watches you walk to your car, waving as you drive off.
sunghoon knows for a fact that he’s fucked—he already wants to hear you say that all of the time; that you’ll see him tomorrow and the next day and the next. he feels like a teenager all over again, already thinking about what he’s going to wear and say tomorrow morning.

jjk men reactions to you saying they're annoying you first the first time...
gojo, geto, toji, sukuna
💫💫💫
Tumblr media Tumblr media
satoru gojo: you're overstimulated. your reports from last week's missions are due tomorrow, and you had forgotten about them because you had to help Nanami with training a few of the first years over the past couple days. while you despise the thought of having to sit down and write those reports, you have no choice but to knock them all out tonight.
tonight, however, satoru happens to want to come over to keep you company. you comply, but something in the back of your head tells you that it's not the best idea: especially since satoru is infamous for posing as a distraction in any and all environments, even more so when you're within his vicinity.
you're sitting at your desk with your knee bouncing, head in your hand as you listen to satoru talk endlessly about the new mochi stand he found while he was out today. your pen stills on your paper, mind flipping between your boyfriend's voice and the work ahead of you. you're already agitated that you even have to be doing this so late at night, and satoru has either ignored or completely forgotten the last two warnings you gave him to let you finish your work peacefully.
you can feel your patience wearing paper thin, brows furrowed until they hurt and your teeth sinking into your gums. your last straw is when you hear him stop talking and shuffle across the room to you, lean figure bending over to peer over your shoulder boredly. "are you almost done yet?" he groans, head knocking against yours.
you snap. you move your head away with a frustrated sigh and look up at him with irritated eyes. satoru sits up suddenly, playfulness dropping from his face.
"satoru! for the last time, leave me alone! god, you're being so annoying," you shout, turning rigidly back around to stare at your paper harshly.
the blue eyed sorcerer beside you goes silent, eyes wide as he processes the fact that you've just yelled at him and said he was annoying you. he, your boyfriend, was bothering you.
do you hate him now? are you going to leave him forever? is there another man?
satoru's ever so dramatic with his dejection, his hands lowering slowly to his sides as he stares at you with a blank face, yet tortured eyes. he breathes in slowly, turning on his feet. "alright," he tries to accept casually, though you can hear the hurt in his voice. "i... guess i'll go home then."
you close your eyes and exhale. "satoru, you don't need to go home, i just need some quiet so i can focus."
"no, it's fine. i get it. i didn't mean to get in your way, i'm sorry," he shakes his head, dispirited. you hear the drop in his tone in comparison to how bubbly he had sounded just moments ago, and you immediately feel guilty.
you turn around in your chair, watching satoru linger in your doorway with a sad frown, head hanging low and hand on the rim of the door as he looks at you with big eyes. you scoff to yourself, opening up your arms and rotating your desk chair around to face him. “come here, you big baby.”
satoru trudges over to you pitifully, steps dragging before he gets on his knees before you and plops his head in your lap, arms wrapping around your waist. you roll your eyes and run your fingers through his hair and down his back. “so dramatic.”
“thought you were gonna abandon me,” he mumbles into your waist, voice muffled. you lifts his head to peer up at you through white locks with a small pout. “i didn’t know you found me so annoying.”
“satoru, i’m already annoyed because of this assignment, it was just that you constantly talking after i asked you not to made it worse,” you tell him softly, smoothing your thumb over his check.
his sighs and nods, eyes lowering in understand. “i’m sorry, baby,” he apologizes again, sincerely. “i just get so excited around you. and i want to spend time with you.”
“i want to spend time with you too, toru, that’s why you just gotta let me get this done and then i’m all yours. twenty more minutes, i promise.”
he kisses your thigh. “okay, of course.” he stands, leaning over to peck your lips, then once more. “i’ll be back, i’ll run to get you some snacks. that’ll keep me busy so i’m not distracting you for a bit, yeah?”
you hum. “thank you, baby.”
he squishes your cheeks up in his hands and kisses you again. “alright, good luck,” he grins. “and please don’t yell at me again, i’ll die.”
geto suguru: you love suguru with your entire spirit, but sometimes, he can be so judgmental.
he’s not aggressive with his comments, which aren’t even necessarily horrible within themselves, but it’s the frequency to which he does it and with no awareness of how the small things he says can make you feel.
it feels like there are times when he can’t comprehend the fact that there are certain things the two of you differently, different ways you go about conflicts, and even different interests or standpoints you withhold. while there aren’t many, suguru often finds a way to make the differences you do have seem endless when he’s saying something unintentionally condescending about the color of nail polish you choose to wear.
today, you’re on your period. you’re in pain, uncomfortable, and in a rather foul mood. you hole up into your room, curled up on your bed when suguru returns from the store, rapping gently on the frame of your door.
“hey, i’m back. got you some pain medicine,” he smiles and you grunt wordlessly. suguru chuckles, making his way over to you and setting the grocery bag onto the foot of your bed as he removes the contents. he leans over to rub your knee, craning his neck to catch sight of your face. “how we feeling?”
“like shit,” you hiss and he coos.
“poor baby.”
“sugu, i know i just asked you to get me crackers, but could you also run into the kitchen and grab the chocolate spread?”
suguru tilts his head in amusement. “you want chocolate spread with your crackers?”
“don’t question me, just do it please.”
he smiles. “yes ma’am,” he stands up straight to head for the door. “it’s in the fridge?”
“no the pantry.”
he stills, and though you’re not looking at him you can tell he hasn’t moved. “the pantry?”
you turn around and look up at him. “…that’s what i said.”
he purses his lips downward. “oh,” he says indifferently.
you know what’s coming when he makes that face, and you can feel your agitation rising. “what?”
“nothing, it’s just… I would’ve put it in the fridge.”
you glare at him for a long moment, tension laced silence rising in the air. “why is that?” you ask with an attitude.
suguru gives you a face when he picks up on your tone. “um… well since you already opened the container, you should put it in the fridge to keep ants from coming in.”
you press your lips together tightly. “oh really.”
“…yeah?”
you scoff, turning back over so your back faces your boyfriend. “you’re so annoying with that shit, sometimes,” you grumble under your breath.
“what did you just say?”
“i said i hate when you do that, it’s annoying,” you repeat loudly.
suguru’s completely perplexed, stunned that you would even say those words to him. he inches back into the room, brow raising. “what are you talking about, (y/n)?”
“nothing. go away.”
the dark haired man has never been immediately moves to the other side of your bed so he can look you in the eye. “don’t do that. look at me so i can talk to you.” you sigh loudly, flickering your hardened eyes up to the shaman. he sits down beside you and looks down at your face. “what’s wrong? what did i do?”
you shrug harshly, looking away again. “i don’t know, suguru, it just seems like you’re always trying to prove that your way is better than mine,” you say, vexed. “you judge the smallest things i do and it’s getting old.”
geto furrows his brows. “i don’t judge you.”
“you do, you just don’t realize.”
“then help me realize,” he says earnestly, hand landing on your arm gently. “please.”
you look into his hazel eyes and see that he is being genuine and you huff. “well, just now you had to ask me if the container was in the fridge or pantry so you could prove that you would’ve done something different,” you explain. “and other times, you’ll do the same thing in different circumstances and just judge my choices.”
suguru caresses your arm softly, moved by your revelation. “i didn’t realize i did that,” he tells you, his voice gentler.
“you do. sometimes it’s like nothing i do is right,” you frown, and suguru’s swimming in guilt.
“that’s not true, babe. not at all, of course i don’t think that about you.”
you soften slightly under his tone of honesty. “you don’t?”
“no, (y/n). and i never would. i guess sometimes i just talk without thinking. but for all the times i’ve made comments to make you feel like that, i’m sorry,” he apologizes earnestly. “the last thing i want to do is make you feel like i’m trying to be better than you.”
“…well you do…” you murmur, losing the grit that encouraged you to call him out in the first place.
“i see now,” his hand slides up to your waist. “i’ll try to catch myself more, okay? i won’t make you feel that way again as long as i can help it.”
“you’re making it hard for me to stay mad at you.”
he laughs softly. “that’s the goal, baby. i don’t like when you’re upset with me.”
you wave your hand around, relenting your frustration. “okay, fine, fine. i forgive you, now can you please go get that chocolate from the pantry?”
suguru stands, leaning over to kiss you cheek and brush your hair from your face. “will do.”
toji fushiguro: where to begin with this mf… toji’s forgetful. he has no concept of planning ahead or structure, leading him to constantly let things you tell him slip his mind. he’s just as unorganized with his thoughts as he is with his finances, and it drives you insane.
you’re sitting at the dining table scrolling through your phone, legs resting on toji’s lap as he sits in the chair next to you, rubbing your shins mindlessly while he goes through his messages.
you see an advertisement for a movie you’ve been telling toji that you want to see, which reminds you that a week ago you told him to order the tickets so that the seats wouldn’t fill up. the movie is in two days, and something tells you to check for a third time this past week to see if he has done what you asked.
you look at your boyfriend’s dull expression, screen light illuminating his face. “toji?” he hums distractedly. “did you get the tickets?”
“hm?” he still doesn’t look at you and you purse your lips, putting down your phone.
“the tickets.”
he looks up, brow quirking and lip curling. “what tickets?”
you can’t be serious.
“the tickets that I’ve been telling you to get for days? for the movie?”
he stares at you for a long moment, silence enveloping the room. you’re normally very patient when it comes to toji’s nonsense, but at this point, you’re getting sick of it. does he really not care to listen to anything you ask him?
he clicks his tongue, sniffing before looking back down at his phone and smirking in amusement. “shit, nah, i keep forgetting. i’ll get ‘em later.”
you glare at him in disbelief. “are you kidding me toji?”
he picks up on your irritated tone and glances back up questioningly. “it’s not a big deal, i said I’ll get ‘em later.”
“you’ve been saying that for days.”
“and i’ll get it done, baby, relax.”
“don’t tell me to relax. you never listen to anything i say and you’re always waiting until the last minute to do everything,” you kick your legs off of his lap and his brows jump in surprise. “you get on my nerves, i swear.”
“well damn,” he snorts. “where is this coming from?”
“from you constantly not listening to anything i ask you to do,” you sneer.
“i listen to you, sweetheart.”
“clearly not, or else you would have bought the tickets already.” you stand abruptly. “whatever, I’m going to take a walk.” you go to move around him, but he grabs your wrist and keeps you still.
“uh uh, hold it, mouthy,” he pulls you back to him so that you’re standing over him with an angry expression. “i really got you worked up over this one, huh?”
“use your brain and figure it out yourself.”
he whistles, shaking his head and yanking you down into his lap. “so much sass.” you stumble a bit before stabilizing, folding your arms and looking the other way. “you won’t even look at me now?”
“fuck off.”
“you got some mouth there, girl, I didn’t know you had it in ya,” he wraps his large arms tightly around your waist.
“toji, you’re making me more irritated.”
“alright, alright, i hear ya,” he grumbles. “i’ve just been busy with these jobs, you know they take up all my focus.”
“you could stand to focus a little more on your girlfriend from time to time,” you mumble.
“i know, i’m sorry, doll. that’s my job,” he agrees, pecking the back of your neck. “hand me my phone, i can buy those tickets right now while you watch me.”
you murmur incoherently, grabbing his phone and slapping it into his open hand by your waist. “if all the good seats are gone, you’re dead.”
he smirks against your cheek. “you’re kinda hot when you’re pissed off.”
ryomen sukuna: sukuna is your irritation personified. it’s hard not to be agitated with him or down right pissed when he has no regard for most, if not all, human concepts of decency.
and he’s so crude, everything he says or does has you whipping your head around in public to ensure that the police aren’t nearby to hear.
you’re actually out grabbing food with him when you reach your limit. you’re standing in line, sukuna’s arms folded and face firm as you scan the menu. just then, a man bumps into him from his left, trying to squeeze past to get to the other side of the cafe.
sukuna’s eyes sharpen as he slowly turns to look down at the pesk who dared to touch him, eyes slim with fury as the pathetic man apologizes profusely upon seeing sukuna’s frightening gaze.
“touch me again, and it’s your life,” sukuna growls, watching the man scamper away quickly in fear. you watch the whole ordeal sternly, then look up at your boyfriend in awe.
“sukuna, what the fuck?” you hiss, and he looks down at you out of the corner of his eye.
“the bastard touched me,” he says, as though that is explanation enough to threaten a random stranger.
“you can’t just go around and threaten to kill people over every minor inconvenience!” you scoff. “especially when we’re out of the house?!”
“are you attempting to tell me what to do?”
“oh my god, i’m not doing this with you right now,” you clench your jaw. “telling you to abide by basic morals isn’t me trying to ‘tell you what to do.’”
“and you should be fully aware by now that i do not care in the slightest what rules you humans live by,” he says lowly, your conversation barely reaching above a murmur.
“oh wow, the great lord sukuna doesn’t care? what else is new,” you quip sarcastically, turning away, furiously.
sukuna’s brows pinch together. “wanna repeat that, brat?”
“no, dick,” you bite. “fucking irritating ass.”
sukuna steps into you, glowering over your small frame while you avoid his eyes. “who the hell are you talking to?”
“who else?”
the king of curses scrunches the corner of his nose. he’s never heard you speak to him with such boldness in your tone. he wants to be angrier that you’re stepping out of line, but he can’t help but feel somewhat thrilled by it.
he leans down to speak lowly into your ear as you stare ahead stiffly, irritation consuming your mind. “keep this up, and you’re gonna be in trouble when we get home.”
“trouble my ass. you won’t do shit.”
and now you’ve done it.
sukuna’s suddenly smirking darkly, moving to grip the back of your neck tightly. the two of you are at the end of the line, therefore no one is behind you to see him reach and grab you. you stiffen, eyes sliding up to his. his crimson red irises shining with nothing but bad intentions.
“you’re talking a lot of shit today, woman. hope you still think you can run your mouth when it’s stuffed full.”
he’s insufferable, you think to yourself as your stomach tingles with anticipation.

As soon as you stepped back inside the house you immediately made your way over to the bedroom to grab your phone. Your head was still spinning from what just happened. Your heart was pounding so fast you could hear it in your ears. The thought of Toji going to jail made you anxious, scared. You two finally started off on the right foot, making little progress each day and you didn’t want to tell the kids that their father was in jail. Hell, you didn’t even know how long he’d be in jail for this kind of shit. You didn’t have the money to bail him out, whatever the cost may be. But you had an idea of who might.
Quickly, you called Gojo. The phone rang while you chewed on your bottom lip, leg bouncing up and down nervously while you waited. “Hello?” It was like a weight lifted off of your shoulders upon hearing his voice.
“Gojo, thank god you fucking answered,” you sighed.
“Y/n? Oh no…what’d he do this time? Better be worth you waking me up for,” he yawned.
You let out a soft chuckle before explaining, “he’s in jail, or is gonna end up in jail—”
“Hold up, what?” Gojo jumped up, brows furrowing at your words.
“To make a long story short, my ex boyfriend came over this morning while toji was here, he said some shit toji didn’t like and toji beat the shit outta him. Cops were called and they dragged both of them away and said toji will most likely go to jail,” you explained, biting the inside of your cheek.
“And I’m guessing you need me to bail him out? Yeah?”
“Yes…Gojo, please. Me and Toji…we were doing good and the kids and it’s just—”
“Listen, call Shoko to pick the kids up after school and I’ll be over in a little bit,” he said.
“Thank you.”
Tumblr media
Toji sat in the chair, hands laying flat on the desk as he waited in the dingy questioning room. He felt like some big time criminal, considering what happened. He was annoyed, having to go through this whole process over a simple fight. “People are pussies,” he muttered to himself. Nanami should’ve kept his mouth shut, especially about the kids. He should’ve left when you asked him to and instead he kept on going.
All Toji could think about was you, wondering if you were disappointed in him, upset or even at your breaking point with him. He promised he wouldn’t mess up his chance, and yet here is sitting in a police station with the high probability of being put behind bars. He impatiently tapped his foot on the ground, the buzzing sound of the overhead fluorescent lights making his head pound. The slight cut on lip still stung everytime he licked his lips, a faint taste of blood on his tongue.
A knock at the door snapped him from his thoughts, a police officer walking in and flashing a quick, fake smile at Toji. “Alright, Mr…Fushiguro.” The man took a seat across from Toji and it couldn’t help but make his eye twitch.
“When can I leave?” Were the first words that came out of his mouth. “I need to see my wife and kids.”
The officer chuckled, shaking his head. “Not until we get your side of the story. We already questioned Mr. Nanami, and we got your wife’s—ex wife’s side as well, so you’re next. Mind telling me what happened from beginning to end?” The officer clicked the blue pen his had in his hand, flipping the next page in his notepad.
“I woke up, made breakfast for my wife and shortly after she woke up as well. We talked for a little, didn’t even get to sit down and eat before the doorbell rang. She answered it and I looked over to see it was her ex boyfriend at the door,” he mumbles, not once shifting his gaze.
“You say she’s your wife and you say Mr. Nanami is he ex boyfriend. But he says that you two are divorced,” the officer adds.
“We are but we plan on working things out, so she’s my wife.” The officer nods are Toji’s words, scribbling it down on the white paper. “I walk over to the door and stand behind her, and they’re having a conversation about their relationship. She told they broke up—he broke up with her because of me and our relationship. Fair enough. She respected it and realized that maybe me and her should work stuff out because of our kids—”
“So why exactly did he show up?” The officer cocks his head to the side.
“To apologize and get her back. Why else would he be there? She didn’t want to and that’s when shit hit the fan.” Toji shrugged.
“By ‘shit hit the fan’ you mean when started saying nasty comments? Your wife said he began belittling her, talking about your kids and your relationship? Am I correct?” His brows raise, the tip of the pen to his paper.
“She asked him to leave, and he wouldn’t. He was saying stuff about how are relationship wouldn’t last and how I only wanted to keep her around for…sex. Then he brought up my kids, and that’s when I knocked his ass to floor. Sound bout right?” Toji blinked, completely uninterested.
“You say she asked him to leave and he wouldn’t?” The officer glances up at him for a quick second.
“Yeah,” toji responds.
“Just one more question, you don’t live there right?” The officer folded his hands in front of him.
Toji hesitated to answer. He knew if he said no, they’d probably charge him, but he said yeah, he’d be lying but he probably won’t get charged due to fact Nanami was most likely trespassing. “I do. Been living there for about a month.”
“Alright, that’s all I needed to know. Be back in few.” The chair screeched against the floor as the officer stood and walked out the room.
With a roll of Toji’s eyes he let out a scoff. “Fucking pigs.”
Tumblr media
You paced back and forth in the living room, nervously biting at your nails, anticipating the moment Gojo knocked on the door. You couldn’t believe this was happening. It was like the universe had placed some kind of curse on you. Was it so hard to have one good day? Apparently so. The sound of knocking pulled you from your thoughts, wasting no time to unlock the door where you were met with Gojo himself, in sweatpants, a hoodie, and his hair disheveled. It was weird not seeing him dress up for once.
“Gojo.” You quickly hugged him.
“Hey, hey.” He hugged back, stepping into your house. “So, what the fuck happened? Did he seriously get arrested?” He shook his head in confusion.
You let out a deep sigh, just the thought of talking about it made you feel tired, annoyed, upset. You weren’t sure what you were. “Yes? I mean, they dragged both of them away, but Toji hit first.” You plopped down on the couch, holding your head in your hands. “He’s most likely going to jail.”
“He is going to jail,” Gojo corrected. “If they find out he doesn’t live here, and that he swung first…jail time!” Gojo sat beside you. “Depends on how much your ex boyfriend is willing to tell.” He glanced at you.
You groaned in annoyance, falling back onto the plush cushions. “Okay, but he was talking about our kids and saying all shit to me and—”
“You think cops give a shit? All they care about is sending whoever to jail. Toji or whatever his name is. And knowing Toji’s record with the police, he’s not making it out of this one.” Gojo reached into his pocket pulling out a piece of candy. “Want some?”
You glared at him, blinking. Was he serious? “Did you seriously bring candy?” You asked, looking at the piece of taffy he held between his fingers.
“Yeah, I had a whole bag of ‘em. Anyway, you want it?” He held it out to you.
“Gojo, can we please focus right now? What if he gets let off without a warning? That’s good right?” Someway somehow you’re hoping that’s the best possible outcome in this situation.
“Well, then excellent. Wait, did he like bash his face in? Or how bad are we talking?” Gojo narrowed his eyes.
“Gojo, I don’t know! For fucks sake!” You rose to your feet, stress levels rising higher. “How do we even know he’s in jail? He’s probably locked up as we speak!” You were panicking and you weren’t exactly why. Gojo said he’d bail him out for you, so coming up with money wasn’t a problem. It’s the fact that you felt like this was entirely your fault. Your relationship with Kento and your relationship with Toji, everything came crashing down. As a grown woman with two kids, you’d think you’d know better and know how to confront your own feelings without getting others involved but apparently that was impossible for you.
Though, it’s not like you expect Kento to show up on your doorstep this morning wanting to take you back. You felt horrible. He was a good man, sweet and kind, and you, you were still stuck on your ex husband and clearly that hurt him. You were sorry for that, you take responsibility that. But that gave him no excuse to bring your kids into this. Everything about this was so fucked up. Even more than before.
“Listen, relax. They’ll allow him some phone calls if they do lock him up. He will most likely call you, and you’ll spill the great news to him! No problem!” Gojo shrugged it off, reaching into his pocket to pull out another piece of taffy.
“It’s been like three hours already.” You huff.
“Then he’s probably locked up,” he casually said, popping the candy into his mouth.
“Can you take this seriously for one second?” You you take a deep breath, finding the inner strength not to yell and cuss Gojo out just because you were extremely overwhelmed.
“I am! Listen, you know he’s been in jail before! He’s fine!” Gojo swatted his hand, brushing off the situation like it was so casual.
“Yeah, with you! When you two got into that stupid ass bar fight and Shoko and Geto called me at three in the fucking morning!” Your nostrils flared, rolling your eyes at the man in front of you.
“No need to dwell on the past—wait, is that—”
“What?” You looked at Gojo, eyes wide.
“Is that your phone?” He stands up.
You run towards your bedroom, nearly tripping over your own feet as the sound of your phone ringing grew louder. “Fuck where is it?” Your eyes scanned over your dresser and nightstand before you standing tearing your blankets off of the bed. Your phone flew to the floor and you quickly grabbed it, seeing it was an unsaved number. Fuck.
“Hello? Toji?” Your voice shook as you spoke. You could hear slight breathing on the other end.
“Baby…”

A Promise
Tumblr media
summary: After a drunken night out, you accidentally kiss South Korea's biggest playboy, Gong Yoo—who recently vowed on live TV to marry the next person who kissed him.
warnings: age gap (reader is in their 20s and gong yoo is in his 40s);
Tumblr media
I should have stopped at two tequila shots.
But no. My best friend, Mia, had convinced me that I needed to "live a little"—which meant drinking like I was celebrating a lottery win, dancing like an unhinged maniac, and somehow… accidentally kissing Gong Yoo, one of the most handsome man in all of South Korea
Yeah. That happened.
The Night It All Went Down
The night had started innocently enough. My friends and I were celebrating Mia’s promotion, and we ended up at VERA, one of the hottest clubs in Seoul. It was packed with celebrities, influencers, and people with perfect faces who didn’t seem real.
At some point between shot number three and shot number… too many, I lost track of my surroundings. All I knew was that the music was pulsing, my head was spinning, and I felt unstoppable.
That’s when I saw him.
Gong Yoo.
Sitting in the VIP booth, dressed in all black, his sharp jawline and devastating smirk catching the flashing lights of the club. He looked exactly like he did in the tabloids—sinful, dangerous, and ridiculously hot.
And in my tequila-clouded brain, I had the most spectacularly bad idea.
"I’m gonna kiss him," I announced to Mia.
She choked on her drink. "What?! No, you're not!"
But it was too late.
Fueled by liquid courage (and zero common sense), I marched up to the VIP section, ducked under the rope, ignored the confused security guard, and planted myself right in front of Gong freaking Yoo.
He was mid-conversation with some idol when I stumbled forward, grabbed his face with both hands and kissed him.
And not just a quick peck—oh no.
I kissed him like I meant it.
For two whole seconds, the world stopped. His lips were warm, soft, and completely still. I vaguely registered the sound of gasps, the flash of cameras—
And then, suddenly, he kissed me back.
His hand slid against my waist, his lips moved against mine, and my brain basically malfunctioned.
Then reality smacked me in the face.
I pulled away with a gasp, realizing what the hell I just did.
Gong Yoo blinked at me, then tilted his head, looking entirely too amused. "Well, that was unexpected."
My heart plummeted as the entire VIP section burst into chaos.
Phones were out. People were shouting. Security was stepping in. And then Mia’s voice screamed through the noise—
"OH MY GOD, WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!"
The Morning After
I woke up with the worst hangover of my life and three hundred missed notifications.
The internet had lost it's mind
DIG INTO THE LIFE OF THE MYSTERY PERSON WHO STOLE GONG YOO'S HEART?!
WHO IS THE PERSON THAT KISSED GONG YOO—AND WHY DID HE KISS THEM BACK?!
GONG YOO LAST ROMANCE? STAR DECLARES HE’LL MARRY THE NEXT PERSON WHO KISSES HIMIS THIS IT?!
I groaned, pressing a pillow over my face. No. No, no, no, no.
This was bad. Really bad.
I barely had time to process it before someone knocked on my apartment door.
Mia poked her head in. "Um…good morning?"
"What?" I groaned.
She pointed over her shoulder. "You… have a guest."
I frowned, dragging myself out of bed and stumbling toward the door. The second I opened it, my stomach plummeted.
Gong Yoo stood there.
Looking very smug.
I panicked. "Why are you here?!"
He leaned against the doorframe, his smirk deepening. "Well, sweetheart, you kissed me. And I don’t break my promises."
I blinked. "What promise?"
His eyes sparkled with amusement. "The one I made on live TV last week."
Oh no.
No, no, no.
The interview.
I had seen it. The entire world had seen it.
Gong Yoo, a notorious playboy, had gone on The Late Night Show and declared to millions of viewers, "The next person who kisses me? That’s it. That’s the one. I’ll marry them. No more games."
My blood ran cold.
"Gong Yoo," I said, voice barely above a whisper. "That… was a joke, right?"
He grinned. "Nope."
I gasped. "But I was drunk! It was an accident!"
He shrugged. "Doesn’t change anything. A promise is a promise."
I stared at him in absolute horror.
This couldn’t be happening.
I was a nobody. A broke nobody. I worked a boring marketing job, I had student loans, and the most exciting thing in my life was my cat, Mr. Pickles.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo dated supermodels and lived in mansions.
This wasn’t real.
He must have seen the panic on my face, because he sighed, crossing his arms. "Okay, fine. Look. I know this is sudden. But the media already thinks we’re engaged."
I stiffened. "So?"
"So," he continued smoothly, "if we break up now, I look like a liar. And you’ll be the girl who 'broke my heart' and ruined my big vow. The internet will eat you alive."
Oh.
Oh no.
I swallowed. "What… are you saying?"
His smirk returned. "I'm saying, sweetheart—" He leaned in closer, his voice low and dangerous. "You're stuck with me now."
a/n: I am extremely OBSESSED with this guy and honestly I just need him (sorry). This is my first attempt at writing fanfic, and honestly, it was inspired by a random story I read a few weeks ago. I had a lot of fun with this and am honestly happy with how it turned out, and I hope you liked this too. This one is pretty unrealistic and the opposite of how gong yoo actually is seen (ig) but honestly very fun.
also thanks to @dyingswanpavlova for inspiring me to write my own after reading their absolutely wonderful Your Girl series which you can read here, I forgot where the header is from, but if it's from you, please let me know, I'll mention yall <3

Tumblr media
pairings: frat!joost klein x fem!reader, friends to lovers
warnings: mentions of alcohol and drugs. SMUT. handjob. cowgirl. unprotected p in v (wrap it before you tap it). mdni.
word count: 3.3k
a/n: I did it. Literally couldn’t think of anything else but this. yes the title is based on a one direction song. It’s what sparked this idea. hope yall like it. requests for Joost Klein are open.
You entered your new dorm, heavy boxes in your arms. You always hated this process of moving back in. But you were happy about the upgrade. Only one roommate this time, and a bathroom in your dorm meaning no more communal bathroom. You walked to your shared living room and you set the boxes on the floor. A loud crack as they hit the ground. You cursed yourself as you knelt to open the box and assess the damage.
“Fuck.” You picked up the pieces of the now broken desktop mirror. You loved this mirror because it was so convenient and you’ve had it since your freshman year. But now you have to trash it. You decided it was a good idea to pick up the pieces with your bare hands, but quickly regretted it when one of them cut your hand. You let a string of curses leave your mouth as you rushed to the sink. You winced as cold water washed over your wound. You spent 15 minutes tending to your hand and finally wrapped it in gauze.
You walked back out to your car to grab another box. As soon as you picked it up, your wound stung but you ignored it. You just wanted to finish unpacking as quickly as possible. You treaded back up the stairs to your dorm and stopped at your door. You set the boxes on the ground so you could get your keys out of your pockets.
“Heyyyy” You knew that voice and you groaned.
“Hey, Joost.” You turned to see your friend Joost standing in the doorway. He was in a plain white shirt and black sweatpants. You were confused about what he was doing in the girl dormitories, especially during move-in day. “What’re you doing here?”
“I’m just here to help a girl move in.” You knew he was lying.
“Right. You’re just gonna help her. That’s it. Isn’t that how you ended up sleeping with my roommate last year?” You couldn’t help but laugh.
“What? First, that was a coincidence. And second I’m genuinely going to help her.” He attempts to explain himself. Because he was looking for a reason to see you, but he would never admit that.
“No. I don’t believe it. You do this all the time. You’re just trying to sleep with her.” You finally find your key in your pocket and open your door.
“I would never. What do you take me for? A whore?” You looked at him, giving him his answer. It’s not a secret that he sleeps with a lot of girls. And you see why. He’s attractive but cocky and you would never give him the satisfaction. He looks at your hand and sees the bandage. His face changes to concern and he gently picks up your hand. You wince a little at the contact and he apologizes, examining the wound. “What happened?”
“I broke my mirror that’s all.” You should’ve pulled away, but you didn’t. His hands were gentle with yours. Almost as if he cared. He looked at you with expression you couldn’t make out.
“Let me help you unpack the rest of your stuff.” He offers as he picks up the boxes that are still sitting next to the doorway.
“Are you trying that trick on me?” You raised your brow at him.
“I mean is it working?” He smirked, but you weren’t falling for it. “I’m kidding. I promise. I just want to help you out.” He gave you a genuine smile. You opened the door to your dorm allowing him to come in and set the boxes down.
After some time, the boxes finally made their way to your dorm. The hard part was over. You both sat on your couch, collectively deciding to take a well-needed break. It was silent between the both of you, but comfortable silence.
“We’re throwing a party tomorrow to celebrate coming back. You should come.” You knew exactly what party he was talking about. His frat always throws the biggest parties at the beginning of the year. They’re known for it.
“I don’t think I have a choice. My friends are dragging me there.” You chuckled looking at the unopened boxes that now littered your floor. If you looked at him, you would’ve seen him. looking at you like he thought you were the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. Which is exactly what he thought. He was so incredibly in love with you and has been since freshman year. But he would never tell you that. He believes that you deserve better. Better than him at least. He was brought out of his trance by his phone vibrating. He took it out of his pocket and looked at it and sighed.
“Hey I’m sorry but I gotta go. The guys need wanna go shopping for tomorrow. But I can stay if you need help.” He hoped you’d ask him to stay. Partially because he doesn’t feel like going and mostly because he wants to stay here with you.
“No, I’ll be fine. All I gotta do is unpack at this point. Plus my roommate should be here in an hour and she can help me if I need it.” you give him a reassuring smile. “Plus if you want to help somebody, I’m sure that girl that you mentioned probably still needs it.” you laugh and he rolls at you.
“You got jokes?” he gives you a smirk and playfully laughs. When you both stop you’re just looking at each other. It was quiet between the both of you.
“Uhm well, I should head out before they leave without me.” He looks away and gets up. You both say your goodbyes before he leaves your dorm.
You and your friend had decided to get ready together in your dorm since it was closer to where the party was being held. Your friends all crowded into your bathroom trying to finish their makeup. You had already completed it before they arrived and now struggling to pick an outfit. You just wanted something comfortable but cute because you’ll most likely be on your feet all night. You finally settled on an outfit that you were happy with and picked up your phone.
“Guys, we’re already 45 minutes late.” You yelled across from across the hall. You groaned when you heard no response and walked over to the bathroom. 2 of them were already finished while one was still working on her makeup.
“Sophie, how much longer are you gonna be? Because at this rate we’ll never make it to the party.” everyone laughed except Sophie.
“I’m sorry. This lash isn’t sticking no matter how much glue I put on it.” You watched as she tried placing a lash on her eye again only to take it off in frustration. Walking over, you take the lash out of her hand. You reapplied the lash glue and gently grabbed her face. You carefully placed the lash on her eye.
“How does that look?” You both were looking at her in the mirror.
“It looks so good thanks.” She smiled.
“Okay. Well, let’s get going.” All four of you quickly gathered your things and made your way out of your dorm.
The walk to the frat house wasn’t too long which you were grateful for. As you walked up to the place you could hear the music blaring and see multiple different colored lights through the windows. You and your friends arrived at the front door and were greeted by two guys. Obviously, they were members of the frat.
“Heyyy ladies.” One of them greeted you. Both of them looked at you and your friends like you guys were a full-course meal. It creeped you out. They moved out of the way to let you all in. The fraternity house throbbed with pulsating basslines that reverberated through every corner. Dim lights flickered overhead, casting shadows that danced against the walls as bodies moved to the rhythm of the music. It was packed. Two of your friends went to find their boyfriends and promised they’d meet up with you later into the night. Leaving you with Sophie who was already eyeing a guy.
“Wanna go get drinks?” You pull her from her trance, and you both stumble through the crowded living room, waving to familiar faces and exchanging playful banter. You both finally made your way to the drink table. You looked at the mystery punch and immediately passed it up opting for a beer. You were about to pick one out of the cooler before a rowdy group of students clamored over the table looking for refills. You rolled your eyes, grabbed your desired drink, and found your back to Sophie. She softly nudged your arm.
“Hey isn’t that the cute frat guy that you’re always around.” You looked in the same direction as her and your eyes met Joost’s. The room seemed to quiet down for a moment. The both of you just smiled at each other. Sophie grabbed your attention by pulling you by the arm.
“Let’s go dance!” You nodded and gave one quick look over to him again, but he had already turned back to talk to his friends. The part of the room that was considered the dance floor was tightly packed. But Sophie was able to find a spot in the crowd for the both of you. Your favorite song had come and Sophie was screaming the lyrics with you. You both were feeding off the energy of the crowd, dancing along with them. You had to admit that the playlist was fantastic because never was there one full moment on that dance floor. You were too busy having fun to notice Joost’s eyes on you. He had completely zoned out of his friends’ conversation to look at you. He was mesmerized by the way your body moved to the music. His mind drifted to dirtier things as he thought about his hands exploring your curves as you danced against him. He was quickly pulled from his trance by his friends pulling him to go get more shots. But after 15 minutes you were getting quite tired. Then one of the frat guys from earlier asked her to dance. She looked at you with pleading eyes.
“It’s okay. Go have fun. I’m gonna go take a break.” You tried yelling over the music, but she heard you anyway. She mouthed you a thank you and was pulled away to another part of the dance floor, leaving you to yourself. You made your through the crowd. You wanted to find somewhere where you could breathe for a moment, so you made your way to the front. You passed two guys on the threadbare couches who seemed to be engaged in a debate over something. On the patio outside, you leaned against the railing, escaping the heat and chaos inside. you watched as groups of friends played beer pong with fervor, their competitive spirits adding to the party's vibrant energy. The cool night air offered a brief respite from the sensory overload indoors.
“Want some company?” Turning your head, you see Joost walking over to join you. You smiled softly, silently allowing him to stand out on the patio with you. You both didn’t say anything for a few moments. You feel the cool breeze blow past, letting the heat you felt earlier go with it. You hear him dig through his pocket for something.
“You want one.” He offered as he held out a box of cigarettes. You shook your head, and took one out, putting it between his lips. He pulled out a lighter and lit it. You watched as he inhaled and blew the smoke into your face.
“Oh my god. You asshole.” He chuckled as he watched as you fanned the smoke away from your face which resulted in you laughing. A few moments pass again before you speak again. “Can I ask what you’re doing out here? I thought you would’ve been doing something stupid with your friends or trying to get in some girl's pants.” You took another sip of your beer.
“All of my friends are wasted,” he paused briefly, “And the only girl I care about is standing right here.” You looked at him in disbelief, but he was avoiding your eyes.
“You mean…” that statement could mean anything. You watched as he took in a breath and looked at you. It was dark with only the light of from the party seeping through the window behind you. Through the faint multi colored light you could see the hesitation in his face.
“I mean I like you. Like really like you.” You’d never seen him nervous until now. He flirts with so many other girls, but when it comes to you it’s different. He tries to read your face for any sign that you might feel the same.
“Joost I…” Words were lost to you. Nothing you could think of didn’t feel like enough of a response for him.
“No, it’s fine. I wasn’t expecting you to feel the same.” He gave you a pathetic smile. A bad attempt at hiding how he was feeling. “I was just tired of you not knowing how I really felt.” He sighed. He was sure that he just ruined everything between the both of you. He dropped the cigarette on the ground and stomped it out. Anything to avoid your gaze. But you gently grabbed his chin and forced him to look at you. You watched as his eyes scanned over your face. He thought you were the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. You finally pull him into a kiss. He was caught off guard but enjoyed it nonetheless. He was hesitant to touch you at first, but his hands found their way to your hips, pulling you closer to him.
Out of nowhere, a group of clearly drunk guys came yelling and laughing out of the party. They noticed you and Joost and cheered him on. You both pulled away a bit embarrassed. Joost more than you. You can see a faint blush rise on his cheeks and you giggle at him.
“I know somewhere more private.” He took you by the hand and you both went back inside. He pushed his way through the crowd of people. The energy still hadn’t died down in the slightest. As you both made your way through the crowd, you spotted Sophie still dancing with the guy from earlier. Then you saw your other friends watching their boyfriends play beer pong and losing. Joost led you up some stairs and into a hallway, which was crowded with random people making out with each other. It was awkward pushing past them, but you did it anyway.
He stopped once he arrived at a room. He opened the door and you both went inside. He locked the door behind you. The room was relatively tidy. You looked around and saw multiple posters littered on his walls. All pictures are different from artists to video games. There was also a flag that you assumed was from where he’s from.
You lifted his shirt over his and tossed it somewhere on the floor. Your hands were quick to explore the exposed skin.
“Is this okay?” You felt his hands reach up your back to your zipper. He was nervous and he hated it. You were the only one who made him feel like this. You nodded. He unzipped it and lifted it over your head. Then toss it on the floor along with the rest of your clothes. His lips found their way to your neck, kissing and sucking where he could. His hands carefully reach up your back to your bra. When he tries to unclasp it, he starts having trouble. You couldn’t help but giggle at the struggle, so you reached back to do it for him. He slides it off your arms and tosses it aside. One of his hands was in your hair, pulling you into another kiss. Your fingers unbuttoned his jeans and wrapped around his desperate cock and started stroking softly. He pulled away and inhaled sharply. You pick up the pace and he leans his head back, a low groan escaping his lips. You leaned forward kissing and sucking at the new exposed skin. He curses under his breath and grabs your hand, stopping your actions.
“I need to fuck you schat (baby).” he breathes, panting hard, his chest heaving. He sounded desperate. He sat up on your knees giving him room to pull his pants and underwear down. You pulled your panties to the and grabbed him, lining him up with your entrance. You slowly sank, letting yourself adjust to his size. One of Joost's hands went to your waist, to help support you. You sank lower, having to bite your lip but unable to stop a low moan from escaping you. Once he was fully inside you stopped. You placed a hand on his chest gently pushing so he was lying on his back. He had many meaningless one-night stands, but you were more than that to him. His eyes scanned over your body and he looked at you like you were the most beautiful girl to him, a goddess even. His hands come to rest on your hips. Without warning you start moving your hips at a quick pace. You feel his fingertips digging into your soft flesh. Strings of curses mixed with broken praises leave his lips. His breathing was fast and heavy, and while he continued rubbing you, he had a moan of his own escape him.
"Fuck," he said, the curse not typical for him. "You're so tight." You were becoming a moaning mess with every thrust. The loud music still blaring downstairs was the only sound blocking your near pornographic noises. You looked down at him while you moved. There was a light film of sweat on his brow and his face was one of utmost pleasure as he watched where you both connected. It was filthy and beautiful he thought to himself. He knew you were both close when your movements became messier. So he sat up, his arm around your back. He was meeting your movements with his thrusts, pulling you against him. His mouth landed between your neck, kissing you there, as he kept using his new leverage to fuck up into you. In this new position, he was able to find your sweet causing this newfound pleasure to surge through you as he relentlessly kept hitting it.
“I’m going to, i’m clo-“ You could barely talk, but Joost knew what you were saying.
“It’s okay. I want to feel you come.” He thrusted up into you a few more times and you held onto his neck for support. That was enough to bring you over the edge. Your orgasm hit you like a train and it felt as though fireworks were going off all over your body. He followed suit as he came only a few seconds behind you. His grip on your hips was tight as he brought himself over the edge. Then he stuttered to a stop, breathing heavily, his face against yours. When it was over you nearly collapsed on Joost, your forehead falling on his shoulder. He laid you both back, careful of how sensitive you were at the moment. You both lie there catching your breath. Your hand rubbed soft circles over his chest.
“Did you mean what you said earlier?” This question had been gnawing at you since he said it, “about liking me?” He looked down at you in disbelief. But then he realized he was never the most honest with girls of his past and you knew this. But he wanted to make you see that you were different from any other girl he’d met.
“I meant every word. I promise.” You chose to trust and believe him. As much as you wanted to speak further about it, sleep was quick to take over you. Your eyes fluttered closed and he noticed.
“Slaapwel (goodnight).” He placed a kiss on your forehead and that was the last thing you felt before you blissfully fell asleep.

One thing about working at SVU was the exhaustion that they felt after every single case. So, for the first time in a while, they all had agreed to go to a bar to celebrate a win after days of stress. The problem? It was Saturday night, so of course the place was going to be crowded, and they even felt somehow weird to be surrounded by younger people, but they still decided they’d have a great time. They found themselves a nice place -in the very corner of the bar-, but at least they had some place to sit. As soon they found the table, they started ordering some drinks and some snacks, soon enough they started chatting and joking around, wanting to forget about the job for at least that night.
As they engaged into conversation, Olivia was soon to push y/n to talk to Casey. Since y/n joined the squad, the very first moment she had laid eyes on Casey, y/n had been in awe of how beautiful and gorgeous Casey looked that day. Since that day, y/n was a mess whenever she was around Casey, of course, she was professional when she needed to be, but she couldn’t help but be a bundle of nerves whenever Casey stood beside her, or sat beside her, anything Casey did, and y/n was melting. But tonight, the squad had planned to give them a little push, hoping that their little plan would work.
It was after Munch and Fin arrived that they had figured out that they had grabbed a small table with obviously not enough chairs, and there was only one left. Olivia took this opportunity to look at y/n and then around the table and put out there her idea.
“Guess someone will have to share because there is no way we’re getting an extra chair with this crowd.” Olivia chuckled softly as she looked around the table, but specifically, to y/n.
Fin turned to look at Munch as he laughed. “Wanna sit on my lap?”
Munch scoffed as he took the seat before Fin could even think about. “In your dreams.”
“I’m good here in the booth. It’s comfortable and spacious.” Melinda shrugged as she took a sip of her drink.
“Oh, I could move to the booth, but one of you guys have to move.” Olivia grinned as she looked at y/n, who was looking at her confused.
“You want me to move? To where?” Y/n shook her head, the alcohol making her mind take its time to process things.
“You can sit on my lap.” Casey simply said, a small smile on her face as she looked at y/n.
Y/n’s eyes widened slightly as she looked at Casey. “W-What?”
“There you go! Problem solved. Fin, take my chair, I’ll take y/n’s place but let me get beside Melinda so you guys can easily get up.”
Before y/n could finish registering what was happening, Casey took her hand and stood up with her so Olivia could go ahead and sit beside Melinda. Casey sat back down and didn’t even hesitate to pull y/n with her and soon enough, y/n was sitting on her lap. The squad soon engaged back in conversation, completely ignoring the fact that y/n was now on Casey’s lap, and had her arm wrapped around her waist as if Casey was trying to stop her from leaving. Y/n tried to focus on her drink, her mind spiraling with thoughts as she tried to process the fact that this was even happening. For a moment she thought the alcohol was making her hallucinate. Casey noticed how quiet y/n had become, thinking that maybe y/n had been drinking enough and it was getting to her.
Casey tilted her head slightly, enough to be able to look at the side of y/n’s face. “You okay, y/n?” Casey asked gently, her eyes searching her face to make sure she had heard Casey.
Y/n turned her head and offered a smile. “W-Why wouldn’t I be? Just…focusing on the conversation.” She chuckled softly as she patted Casey’s thigh without even thinking about it.
Casey raised her brow but didn’t say anything about it anymore. But then, something inside her mind clicked. She grinned softly as she nodded, grabbing her drink, and taking a sip of it. “If you say so, princess.”
Y/n’s breath hitched when Casey called her princess, she felt her cheeks heating up as she stared at her. She scoffed as she shook my head, trying to play it cool to not show her the effect she had on her. “I’m fine. Just focusing on Fin’s conversation.”
“I wasn’t even talking.” Fin snapped as he looked at y/n, suddenly all of their attention was on y/n.
Y/n turned to look at Fin. “You were.”
“I finished like 10 min ago.”
Munch grinned. “Someone is distracted I see.”
“I…” Y/n looked at him and shook her head, huffing a chuckle. “I’m not. I really thought he was still talking.”
“And you also seem to be a bit drunk. You’re all flustered there. Or are you blushing because you’re sitting in Novak’s lap?” Melinda teased as she smirked.
If stares killed, Melinda would surely be gone by now. She sighed and offered a fake smile to her, cursing inside her mind as she saw her laughing at her reaction. “I’m fine. I won’t drink anymore if that’s what you’re worried about.” She shrugged as she finished her last shot and looked back at them.
Casey chuckled at her stubborn nature - finding it both adorable. She rolled her eyes, not believing a single word that came out of her mouth. “Right, because you’ve been soooo good at sticking to your word so far.”
They let it die for a while, returning to their conversation, but Casey was still amused by y/n’s reaction. She had been acting differently before she had sat on Casey’s lap, and if Casey didn’t know better, she’d say that she was uncomfortable sitting there, but she knew that she didn’t actually mind, more so because she knew about y/n’s crush on her. She tried to hide her smirk behind her drink but couldn’t help the thought that this was her chance to tease her a bit. A tiny teasing was no harm.
Casey gently placed her hand over y/n’s thigh, lightly squeezing it, the alcohol was definitely making her bolder. She leaned in close to her, her breath lightly hitting her ear. “You're so cute when you're blushing like that, princess. You know that?"
At first, sitting on her lap didn’t seem like such a bad idea, now, it just seemed to be the worst/best idea she could’ve had. And this was when she thought it was the worst; as she was having a sip of her drink, suddenly she felt Casey’s hand on her thigh and her breath hitting her ear, making her choke on her drink. She swallowed hard as she heard Casey’s words, slightly turning her head to look at her, her lips parting slightly as she tried to suppress the moan that was stuck in her throat. “I…t-thanks.”
Casey chuckled at her reaction, seeing the way when just her hand on her thigh and her breath on her ear affected her so much. She decided to have a little bit more fun with her, just to see how she would react, and maybe get a better look at that cute face of hers when she blushed. She gently gripped her chin, turning her head to face her now. She smiled, her eyes staring into hers. "Can I tell you something princess?"
Y/n’a breath hitched slightly as she looked into Casey’s eyes. She licked her lips nervously as she nodded. “S-Sure.”
Casey leaned in again, her lips brushing against y/n’s ear as she spoke, not wanting anyone else to hear what she was going to say. “You know, you've been driving me absolutely crazy, sitting on my lap." She whispered as she smirked, her hot breath teasing over her ear again.
At that point y/n felt like she’d have some sort of heart attack or that she’d simply stop breathing at some point. Her eyes never left Casey’s, the whole time she spoke. Did she know? About the crush? She had to; she knew she couldn’t lie to Casey. Her words made her whole body shiver, cursing under her breath on how she had such an effect on her with simple touches and words, her face just inches apart from hers, and she wanted to just lean in and-
“You guys should definitely get a room. It’s getting so hot in here.” Melinda chuckled softly as she high five Olivia.
“You have our girl dying over here, Novak. Her little crush is full on showing.” Elliot smirked.
Y/n rapidly snapped her head to look at Elliot. “What?! I do not have a crush on Casey. Casey and I are good friends. That’s all.” Her voice wavered as she spoke, a hint of shakiness.
Casey had to hold back a laugh at y/n’s sudden response to Elliot, at the way her voice went up a pitch and how defensive she was. Instead, she chuckled softly, continuing to smirk, knowing that there was some truth to Elliot’s statement. She lightly squeezed her thigh, giving her a little warning to not get overly defensive. "Oh, don't deny it. Anyone can tell that you're obviously in denial about your feelings for me."
Fuck. She knew. She fucking knew. Y/n turned to look at Casey for a moment and then turned to look at Elliot and the squad. She was so going to kill them for doing this. She chuckled nervously and shook her head. “I do not have a crush. You’re reaching.”
“She’s got you on her lap and you’re one breath away from passing out. C’mon, y/n. You’re not that good at lying.” Munch chuckled.
“Or maybe they’re really just friends, let it go, guys.” Fin joked, chuckling with Munch.
Casey smirked once again as the squad started going in on y/n for having a crush on her, knowing good and well that she did. She gripped y/n’s thigh a little tighter, seeing how she was getting slightly flustered and tried to deny it all once again. She decided then to chime in, leaning down and to her ear, whispering while squeezing her thigh again, her tone slightly cocky. "You sure you don’t have a crush on me, princess? You’re getting awfully defensive.”
Y/n was slightly startled as she felt Casey squeezing her thigh, a small whimper leaving her lips. She was starting to regret wearing a skirt that day. “N-No. I mean…I’m not defensive. It’s just the alcohol.”
“Ah, the alcohol. So, it wouldn’t do anything to you if Casey just started kissing your neck or something like that.” Olivia raised her brows as she smirked.
Casey’s smirk only widened as she heard that small whimper escaped her lips, taking that as a good sign that she couldn’t hold back her reaction to her anymore. Her hand kept gently rubbing up and down her thigh. "Yeah, would it?"
Y/n sighed as she stared at Olivia, wanting so badly to slap her right on the face to wipe off that smirk. She was pushing, and she knew it. “Why don’t you drop it, Benson?” She faked a smile as she grabbed her other drink.
Once again, the squad dropped it, and started chatting again, but Casey was amused and slightly annoyed by the whole situation, seeing how she was trying to deflect the question and avoid further discussion. She couldn't just drop it the way y/n wanted her to. She watched as she took another sip of her drink. She leaned into her ear again, her breath lightly brushing over it as she spoke. “You didn't answer the question, princess."
Y/n almost choked on her drink again as she spoke in her ear once again. She felt her chest heavy, and it was getting harder to breath. She tried to play it cool, pretending like she was listening to the squad’s conversation. She licked her lips softly and cleared her throat, looking down at her drink and placing the glass on her lips just so she could cover them, and the squad couldn’t see that I was answering Casey. “No…it wouldn’t.” She whispered softly as she took another sip of her drink. But of course, that was a lie, and she knew that she knew it.
Casey chuckled upon hearing her answer as she knew that she wasn’t really being honest with her response. Her hand continued to rub up and down her thigh, gently squeezing it every now and then. “And if I just started kissing your neck, what then?" Casey smirked.
Y/n’s breath hit her at her question, feeling shivers running down through her whole body as she tried to remain calm or at least put together. She sighed softly as she shook her head slightly. “You wouldn’t.” She whispered back.
Casey smirked even wider, loving the way she was shaking just at her question. She continued to gently squeeze her thigh, her hand occasionally shifting a little further up and then back down. She gently placed her chin on her shoulder, her lips getting inches away from her neck. She gently bit her earlobe, gently speaking against her skin. "And what makes you think I wouldn’t, princess?”
Y/n gasped quietly as she felt her biting her earlobe, the way she kept gripping her thigh, the way she kept whispering in her ear. She was driving her insane. She swallowed hard as she tried to focus on both Casey’s words and also the squad’s conversation. “Casey, you need to stop…” She whispered softly, but her voice wavered again, betraying her because she knew deep down that she was dying to feel her.
Casey chuckled against her ear once again, thoroughly enjoying hearing the way her voice wavered. She pressed a light kiss to her neck, her hand gently shifting even further up on her thigh, getting under her skirt, getting so close to her underwear. “But why should I stop, baby?” She continued the gentle kisses on her neck, moving to her pulse point, licking it softly and then nipping slightly.
Y/n bit her lip and swallowed back the moan that wanted to come out, closing her eyes for a slight moment but remembering where they were, so she tried to keep her eyes open. She placed one of her hands on the side of Casey’s thigh, gripping it tightly, not sure if it was to stop her or to encourage her to keep going, or just to hold onto something. She licked her lips slowly, trying to calm her beating heart. “Casey…” She whispered softly, a moan getting stuck in her throat again.
Casey couldn't help but chuckle enjoying the way y/n’s hand instinctively squeezed her thigh. She continued to kiss and gently suck on that sensitive spot on her neck, wanting to hear her make those delicious sounds. Her hand finally reached the spot where she knew she so desperately needed her, gently rubbing against the fabric of her underwear. She hummed against her skin as she spoke. "Yes, princess?"
She gasped as she felt her fingertips brushing against her underwear, and the way she kept kissing and gently sucking on her neck. Her eyes widened slightly and were filled with desire as she instinctively bucked her hips, wanting to get friction, anything that would help her with the throbbing between her legs. But just as she was about to answer her, the squad had brought their attention back to them which made her grip Casey’s thigh to stop her.
“You looking a little nervous there, y/n. What is Casey telling you, huh?” Olivia teased as she smirked.
“It would be so much fun to see how you definitely do not have a crush on Casey.” Melinda smirked as she kept pushing.
Casey wished Olivia and Melinda wouldn’t have interrupted, she wanted y/n to keep bucking her hips against her, but she pulled her hand back, but she didn't stop the kisses on her neck, enjoying the frustrated groan that she tried to hold back. She glanced up at Olivia and Melinda, seeing the smirks on their faces and the way they were trying to push the issue further. “Oh please, she's fine. Just a little flustered right now." She retorted, shaking her head in disbelief. She was about to continue with her teasing, but she was cut off by her phone ringing in her pocket. She quickly pulled it out to see who was calling.
“Boyfriend calling, Novak?” Elliot teased as he raised his brow.
Casey chuckled at Elliot’s comment, clearly amused by it. She pulled the phone out and quickly glanced at the caller ID before returning her attention to them. She realized that it was the perfect opportunity to tease her as she noticed y/n tensing up at Elliot’s question. It was just too perfect to pass up. “Actually, it’s my girlfriend,” Casey said, nonchalantly. “She’s probably calling to check up on me.”
Y/n felt her heart dropping at the mention of a ‘girlfriend’, suddenly feeling butterflies in her stomach but definitely not the good kind. She felt sadness take over her and she felt sick to her stomach at the thought that even right now, she had just been teasing her, touching her, and kissing her neck, it could mean something, but it didn’t. She suddenly shut down and looked down at her empty glass and going quiet.
“Girlfriend?! And you didn’t tell us?!” Munch asked surprised, and suddenly the squad, especially Olivia, were staring at y/n before turning their attention back to Casey.
Casey internally cursed at herself as the squad erupted in shock at her 'news', realizing that her plan to tease y/n, backfired big time. She should've known better than to play with her feelings like that. She was distracted from her thoughts by the noticeable distance now placed between the two and she immediately regretted opening her mouth. Casey quickly realized that she needed to try to salvage the situation somehow, and so she did the only thing she could think of: she lied. “Yeah, I’ve been seeing her for a few months now,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady.
It seemed like time had stopped right in that moment, and suddenly, y/n was completely sober. She licked her lips anxiously as she kept her stare to her glass, not wanting to look at Casey, and suddenly feeling uncomfortable on her lap. Why would she be like that if she had a girlfriend? Why would she do all that if she was seeing someone else? It was painful. “I’ll go get more drinks.” She said before she stood up quickly and walked to the bar.
Casey’s heart stopped entirely as she saw y/n walking away, wanting to slap herself from trying to tease her with that. What was she even thinking that she’d get? Maybe she wanted to see her get jealous, maybe she just wanted to see how far she could go before y/n actually confessed that she had a crush, but she had taken it too far. And then, she heard Fin saying something about a guy, and as she turned to look at the bar, her heart shattered witnessing the interaction between y/n and some random guy, feeling a wave of jealousy wash over her despite having no right to because she had caused this. She bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself grounded, hating the way her mind began to race with ‘what-ifs’.
As she forced herself to look back at the team, she was met with the sight of Olivia giving her a knowing look, a smirk forming on her face. Melinda couldn't help but stifle a chuckle while Munch silently mouthed 'damn' at Casey. “I know, okay? I fucked up.”
“Then, go and fix it before you actually lose your chance.” Olivia raised her brow as she elbowed Casey.
For a few more moments, Casey remained frozen in her spot, watching the way y/n laughed and joked around with the guy. She watched for a few moments, before she noticed that she had said something to the guy and then made her way to the bathroom, but then Casey noticed how the guy looked around and followed behind. Something inside her snapped, and she found herself standing up, making her way towards the bathroom too rapidly.
Casey made sure to hurry up before the guy could even think about walking in the bathroom, bumping into him and looking at him with a fake smile. “Sorry, girls' bathroom.” She shrugged before she walked in and closed the door, locking it. She watched as y/n leaned over the sink, the sight of her like that only making the heat in her body flare even more. She waited a few moments before stepping up behind her, her hands gently resting on her waist, the heat of her skin now transferring to hers. She gently pressed herself up against y/n’s back, her body pressing against hers, her voice a soft whisper in her ear. “You didn't think you could just walk away after that, princess?"
Y/n had been so distracted, her mind was entirely in another place that she had not heard Casey walking into the bathroom. She let out a gasp as she felt her hands resting on her waist, looking at her through the mirror as she pressed herself against her back. I took a deep shaky breath before I could actually get my words out. “What are you even doing here?” She whispered softly, my eyes not leaving hers through the mirror.
Casey felt good knowing that she still had a reaction to her touch, that maybe there was still a way to salvage this. “We need to talk.”
Y/n scoffed as she pushed Casey away and turned to face. “We don’t have anything to talk about. You can clearly see I’m not drunk, and I perfectly am conscious of what happened back there.”
Casey’s gaze darkened at her stubbornness. She stepped closer to y/n, closing the already small distance between the two, her eyes locked with hers. It was clear that she wasn't going to back down. “You don't have anything to talk about? Really?" She let out a humorless laugh as she shook her head. “You don't have anything to say to me after I saw you with that guy and he was following you here?”
Y/n furrowed her brows, confused as to what she meant the guy had followed her, but then she scoffed, taking a step back without noticing that her back was almost hitting the wall. She shook my head and then shrugged nonchalantly. “I don’t know what I have to say about that. I wanted him here. We were going to have a good time. And either way, why do you care? Don’t you have to go home to your new girlfriend? I’m sure she’s missing you terribly.” I grinned sarcastically.
Casey felt the pang of jealousy hit her, her heart clenching at the thought of that guy coming in here to fuck her. She clenched her jaw, her eyes narrowing as she stepped closer to her once again, her body almost pinning her against the wall behind her. “You really think I don’t care?” She took another step closer, her voice low and intense as she spoke. “You don’t think I care that I had to watch you smiling and laughing like that with someone that isn’t me?”
Y/n furrowed her brows as she stared at Casey, swallowing hard as she stepped closer to me, her heart beating faster with anger and sadness too. Why was she doing this to her? Why was she torturing her? She had someone back home and she still wanted her to just stay behind and do nothing for myself? It hurt. “And why would you care? You should care if your girlfriend does that. You and I are friends. Why would you care if I decide to take him home and fuck him?” She raised her brow as she defied her, not wanting to give herself up and let sadness take over her.
Casey’s eyes darkened at her defiant tone, her heart breaking at the thought of y/n with someone else. There was a desperate pang in her chest, her hands clenching into fists at her sides out of anger and frustration. Casey suddenly lunged forward, closing the distance between them, and pinning y/n against the wall, her body pressed against hers. “Because I can't stand the thought of you being with someone that isn't me," she snapped, her voice dripping with possessiveness.
Y/n gasped loudly as she felt her back hitting the wall, her eyes widening slightly as Casey pressed her body against hers. She looked into her eyes and her breath hitched slightly. If there was any alcohol left in her system, it was completely gone now, she was more sober than ever. She swallowed hard at her words, and then they hit her, her lips parting slightly. “You…don’t have a girlfriend, do you?” She whispered softly as her eyes darted all over her face. “You said that to get a reaction out of me.”
Casey felt her own heart racing in her chest as she finally had y/n pinned against the wall, the proximity making her feel alive. Her gaze remained fixed on hers, her body pressed firmly against hers, as she spoke in a low, almost inaudible whisper. “I lied," she admitted, her voice barely audible above the bass of the bar music that leaked through the bathroom door. “It was a stupid move, and I shouldn't have done it." A sad huff of laughter left her lips.
Y/n’s whole body shivered, her heart now pounding in her chest as she let her words sink in. She licked her lips softly as she stared into her eyes, suddenly her stomach was filled with butterflies, and this time…they were good ones. The sad huff of laughter that left her lips, it made her realize how she had regretted saying that. Casey had shown so many signs that she wanted her just as much as y/n wanted her, and she had been blind. She placed her hands on her neck, keeping her head up so she could look into her eyes. “Then show me that I belong to you.” She whispered softly.
Casey’s breath hitched at the feeling of her hands on her neck, the words leaving her lips igniting a fire within her. Without a moment's hesitation, she leaned in, her mouth crashing against y/n’s in a fierce and passionate kiss. It was a kiss filled with months of unsaid words and pent-up desire, her body molding perfectly against hers, leaving no space between the two of them. Y/n felt her breath catch in the back of her throat, she let her eyes flutter shut as she felt the passion and the fierce feeling on the kiss, it was finally happening, letting herself completely melt against her, wrapping her arms around her neck, pulling her closer. She didn’t care about how needy or desperate she might’ve seemed. Y/n let her tongue swipe against her bottom lip, asking for entrance, making Casey gasp at the feeling of her tongue against her bottom lip, and she willingly parted her lips to let her in, her own tongue immediately coming out to tangle with hers.
Casey pressed her hips against y/n’a, trapping her against the wall, her hands roaming over her body, desperately wanting to feel more. She broke the kiss for just a moment, her breathing heavy and her voice low and husky. “You have no idea how badly I've wanted you, princess... ever since the first moment I laid eyes on you..."
Y/n bucked her hips against hers to find any sort of friction. Her hands moved up to her hair, trying to keep her closer, but then she felt shivers running down her spine at Casey’s words, her lips parting in surprise as she stared into her eyes.* “Really?” She asked softly, not believing her words, and thinking maybe it had been the alcohol talking.
Casey leaned in, her lips brushing against her ear, her fingers caressing the exposed skin of her thigh, slowly trailing up higher under the fabric of her skirt. She nuzzled into her neck, her voice low as she spoke. "Yes, baby…you have no idea how much I’ve wanted to touch you, to feel you, to taste you…”
Y/n let out a shaky gasp as she felt her fingers caressing her thigh once again, making her whine quietly. She threw her head back and closed her eyes, giving Casey more access to her neck, her fingers ran through her hair, gripping it to keep her close. “I-I’ve wanted you too…so badly. God, I need you so badly, Casey.” She breathed out as she moaned, her hips bucking more into hers.
Casey smiled against her neck, she trailed her fingers a little higher under her skirt, her teeth gently biting down on her neck, marking it with a small bite. Her voice low and husky as she responded. “Mmm…I can tell just how badly you need me."
Y/n moaned louder as she bit down on her neck, thankful that the music was loud enough for her moans to stay in the bathroom. And when she felt her fingertips tracing her inner thigh, she couldn’t help but breathe heavily. “Please, Casey…I need you…” She moaned out as she moved her head to stare into her eyes, her hands gripping her shoulders.
Casey moved her leg between hers, her thigh brushing against the sensitive spot between her legs, the only fabric separating their bodies were y/n’a underwear and her pants. She moved her hand further up her thigh, her fingers gently tracing along the edge of her underwear. "Please what, princess?"
Y/n wrapped on of her arms around Casey’s neck to support herself while the other stayed gripping her hair, feeling like her knees where about to give up because of the pleasure she felt. As her fingers traced the edge of her underwear, she let out needy moan, her hand gripping her shirt. “F-Fuck, Case. I need you. Please, just touch me.” She whispered softly as she stared into her eyes.
Casey leaned in, her lips right next to her ear as she whispered. "Is that what you need, princess? For me to touch you?" Without waiting for an answer, she pressed her leg even harder against her center, her hands moving to lift up her skirt, which was now rucked up around her waist, one of her hands moving back to her hips and the other teasing her inner thigh, getting so close to where she needed her.
Y/n gasped loudly at her sudden moves, the pressure her leg was putting against her center and the way her hands rapidly moved to lift her skirt. Her hand gripped Casey’s shirt and the other moved to her neck, bringing their faces close, their lips brushing against each other as she bucked her hips against her leg and hand. “Please stop teasing me and fuck me. I need you now, Casey.” She groaned softly, desperate to feel Casey’s fingers inside of her or any sort of friction at this point, her underwear surely ruined.
Casey leaned in, her lips brushing against her, chuckling darkly. "Mmm…desperate, are we, princess?" she teased, a sly smile on her face. She moved her underwear aside and her fingers finally moved towards her pussy, gently she ran them between her folds, feeling the wetness that has accumulated, a soft moan leaving her lips.
Y/n chuckled softly against her lips, blushing slightly at her words. “Can you blame me?” But then, she felt her fingers, a shaky gasp escaped me as her body arched against her. She let out another moan. "Oh god…please, that feels so good…" She whimpered softly, barely able to get the words out.
Casey moved her fingers in gentle circles, moving through her folds, to her entrance but avoiding her clit. Her lips moved to her neck, leaving a trail of gentle kisses and bites along the sensitive skin. "Mmm…I love the way you moan for me, princess..." She smirked before she slipped two fingers inside her and began to slowly thrust her fingers in a slow motion.
Y/n moaned loudly, and rested her forehead against her shoulder, small pants leaving her lips as her fingers moved inside her, her hips instinctively moving with her. “F-Fuck, Casey…” She moaned as she buried her face into the crook of her neck.
Even though they were in a public place, Casey didn't care at all if anyone heard them or what they would think. Casey started a quick rhythm, adding a third finger and curling them inside her with each thrust. She then pressed her thumb to her clit, so she could push her closer to the edge with each thrust. Her lips were attached to her neck, nibbling, and licking every inch of her neck. Y/n tried so hard to stay quiet, knowing perfectly they were in a public place, specifically, in a bathroom, but she couldn’t keep her moans inside when Casey was making her feel so good. It was becoming harder to breathe, her body trembling and her hips thrusting more into Casey. Her brain went blank when she felt the way she was fucking her, the way her lips kept nibbling and licking her neck. She was close, she could feel it. Y/n grabbed Casey’s face and crashed their lips together.
Y/n could barely kiss her, panting more than anything, moaning loudly, she felt her body begin to melt. “C-Casey…I…I’m close…”
Casey’s fingers continued their quick and relentless rhythm, the kiss messy and sloppy at some point. She crooks her fingers into you, rocking them in and out with a wet squelch. She broke the kiss as she panted, biting her lip, and pulling on it before she stared into her eyes, grinning softly. “Come for me, princess. I want to hear you…” She curled her fingers and leaned down to nip on her neck.
It became almost impossible to speak, y/n’s words becoming broken and shaky, her breath getting more and more labored as she got closer and closer. “Oh God…I’m…I’m gonna-“ She gasped out, her body trembling and her knees shaking, her hips moving against her fingers, trying to find the release she desperately needed. “F-fuck…” The feeling of her fingers and her words were enough to bring her right to the edge, gasping and trembling. With a final push, her back arched, her moans getting louder as her body literally twitched as her climax hit. “Casey! F-fuck…!” She couldn’t stop herself from screaming her name, her grip tightened on her as she came.
Casey continued working her through her orgasm, her fingers not stopping, wanting to prolong her pleasure for as long as she could. The feeling of her body trembling against her was a feeling she never wanted to forget, and she didn’t stop until her body finally relaxed. She slowly pulled away, her heart racing as she stared at her, completely in awe at how beautiful she looked at that moment. “God, you’re gorgeous…” She whispered as she pulled her fingers out slowly, bringing them to y/n’s lips. “Open…”
She couldn’t help but feel a mixture of emotions swirling inside her, her entire body on a high after experiencing such intense pleasure. As she heard her calling her gorgeous, her cheeks turned beet red, she couldn’t help but bite back a smile, panting heavily as she tried to calm down. She grabbed Casey’s hand, wrapping her lips around them, licking them clean, her tongue swirling around her fingers and moaning at her own taste. She pulled her fingers out of her mouth with a pop, her eyes meeting Casey’s. “Thank you. You’re not so bad yourself.”
Watching y/n clean Casey’s fingers off like that, seeing her taste herself, it was absolutely sinful. Casey was absolutely enraptured by her, and she found herself unable to take her eyes off of her. With her free hand, she brought it up to her face, brushing back her hair, gently caressing her cheek. “God, you’re so beautiful…so perfect…”
Y/n leaned against Casey’s hand, turning her head slightly to kiss her palm, her breathing slowly coming back to normal. “So are you…I’ve wanted you for so long.” She chuckled softly as she stared into her eyes.
Casey smiled, her heart swelling with affection. Her hands moved to y/n’s waist, gently pulling her closer, wanting to be as close as possible. “I’ve wanted you for months. You were all I could think about. And…I am so sorry about the girlfriend thing. I thought I’d tease you about it and now I know it was a fucked up thing.”
Y/n smiled softly as she shook her head, her hands going to Casey’s neck and traced her jawline with her thumbs. “I mean…it was a fucked up thing but…it’s alright. You made up for it.” She grinned as she chuckled, leaning in, and placing a chaste kiss on her lips.
Casey sighed softly as she leaned her forehead against hers, chuckling softly too as she shook her head. “You know the squad won’t stop teasing us about this, right?”
“Oh, that I am sure of. I’m already preparing myself.” Y/n chuckled again as she pulled away enough to look at Casey, running her fingers through it. “So…can I return the favor?” She bit her lip softly as her eyes darted down to Casey’s lips and then back to her eyes.
Casey chuckled softly at her words but smirked, her hands moving to fix y/n’s skirt, pulling it down but not before she squeezed y/n’s ass. “How does going back to my place sound? I think we would be way more comfortable.” She raised her brow as she leaned down and kissed y/n’s jawline, trailing her kisses down to her neck.
Y/n felt butterflies in her stomach at the thought of going back to Casey’s place, nodding her head a bit too eagerly. “Sounds perfect.” She then pulled Casey’s hair and made her look into her eyes, smirking as her fingertip traced her jawline and down to her neck. “I definitely want to take my revenge on all the marks you left on my neck.”
“Thank god winter is here. Turtlenecks won’t be such a pain in the ass.” Casey laughed softly along with y/n before she took her hand and pulled her with her out of the bathroom.
As soon as the squad noticed the girls walking back to them hand in hand, they started cheering and clapping, Munch looking at his watch and then back to the girls. “Record time, less than 15 min. I’ve heard the record is 20.” He teased as he laughed with Fin.
Y/n rolled her eyes as she grinned and grabbed her purse. “You guys are the worse.”
“Oh, but it worked, didn’t it?” Olivia smirked.
Y/n stared at her for a moment, now understanding why she had been so pushy about her wearing a skirt and sitting beside Casey. She could only shook her head and smile. “Thank you I guess.”
Casey nodded as she smirked. “Indeed, thank you. We’re gonna leave, though. Thanks for the drinks, and next round is on me.” She said as she left some money on the table and grabbed y/n’s hand again, pulling her to the exit.
“Your neck looks so pretty by the way, y/n!” Melinda yelled as she laughed with the rest.
“They’re really not gonna leave us alone.” Y/n said once they left the bar, standing outside and looking into Casey’s eyes as they stopped to wait for a taxi.
Casey chuckled softly as she put a strand of hair behind her ear and leaned down to place a chaste kiss on her lips. “Let them talk. At least everyone will know that you’re mine.”
Y/n smirked as she leaned in and kissed Casey again, squeezing her hand. “It was definitely not a bad idea to wear this.” She whispered softly, chuckling with Casey.

warnings at a bar, drinking, cursing, smoking, rejection, random dude being an asshole.
Tumblr media
You and your girlfriends agreed to go out to the bars tonight to drink and have some fun; nothing too serious. It’s been a long week at work for you guys and tonight should be fun.
The bar is packed with people; music is loud and energy is high. Plenty of people on the dance floor and at the bar.
Typically, you guys go to the bar first for drinks then go over to the dance floor where others were dancing and singing to music.
“This feels so great right now being with my girls” your friend Alyssa expressed, throwing her head back while laughing.
“So great!”
The four of you danced to the beat of the music enjoying yourselves in the moment. You shook your glass in your hand realizing you need another drink.
“I’m gonna get a drink at the bar, wait for me?” You tell your girlfriends, pointing to the drink in your hand.
They all nod, “if you need anything yell or call us over” Maria says giving you a thumbs up.
The bar area gives you a clear view where you guys were at on the dance floor. You let a sigh past your lips when you take the last sip of your drink.
As you make your way to the bar to have a drink, a guy approaches you with evident intentions. "Hey, gorgeous, can I buy you a drink?" he offers, flashing what he likely believes is a winning smile.
You give him a nice yet forceful smile. "No, thank you. "I'm good."
Please get away from me, you think to yourself.
He doesn't take the hint and moves closer, his tone shifting. "Come on, don’t be like that. Just one drink."
You step back slightly, your discomfort growing. "I said no, thank you."
You were starting to get irritated with this guy. What does no mean to him in his brain? It’s common sense. You know how to stand up for yourself in situations like this and won’t let him talk to you like this.
His expression turns negative. "Do you think you're too good for me?" "You're not even that attractive." The harsh comments sting, and your mood drops.
You pause for a second to process what he told you. You turn to face him, scoffing, "Listen, you little prick, I don't want to chat to you or have a drink with you. You simply cannot understand that no means no, and now you are saying these things to me because I refused your offer. So, how about you just fuck off?" You feign a grin before heading out the back door to catch some fresh air.
The guy gives you a perplexed expression, more surprised by your choice of words for him. He yells back at you as you lead father away from the bar.
The cool air felt good against your skin. Your hands search for your phone through your small purse to text the girls you went outside for fresh air and tell them what happened at the bar.
When opening the back door there's a sitting area for people to sit with string lights across the railing and a nice view of the city.
You lean against the brick wall, trying to shake off the encounter. Just as you’re starting to feel a bit better, you hear the door open behind you.
You look up and see a tall six-foot man standing in front of you. You could call him a gorgeous six-footer. You can't take your gaze away from him, and he notices every time you create eye contact.
He steps out and lights a cigarette. He notices you and smiles, acknowledging you from within. He walks over with a concerned expression.
“Hey, are you okay? I saw you come out here, and you seemed disturbed."
You acknowledge his concern and try to brush it off. "I am fine." "I just needed some air."
He takes a puff of his cigarette, his gaze fixed on you. "You don't look well. Would you like to talk about it?”
Before you could respond he introduces himself, “I’m Drew by the way” he extends his large hand out.
“Y/N and it’s nice to meet you Drew.” You smile while shaking his hand.
You find yourself nodding: "Some guy inside was being a real jerk. I turned him no, and he got really upset about it." Drew's expression darkens somewhat.
"I am sorry you had to cope with that. "Some guys simply cannot handle rejection." Drew sighs, shaking his head in disbelief after hearing you explain the situation.
“Yeah," you sighed. "It just really brought down my mood."
Drew looks up at you, frowning, “don’t let him bring your mood down. You’re beautiful young woman who doesn’t nedd that.”
He thinks I’m beautiful?
Drew takes a step forward, his presence soothing. "Well, he is an idiot. Anyone with half a brain can tell you're far too good for a guy like that.”
You chuckle quietly, his comments softening the blow of the previous encounter. "Thanks. "That means a lot." He smiles, a warm, sincere smile that makes you feel better right away.
To keep the discussion going, you two start talking about other issues; you tell him you arrived with your girlfriends, and he came with his buddies. He was respectful and asked you questions that did not make you feel uncomfortable.
“Would you like to go back inside? "Or maybe just hang out here for a while more?" He asks softly, dropping the cigarette on the floor, then stepping on it.
"Can we go back inside? My girlfriends are inside, and I told them I was going back. Can I introduce you to them?" You react with a small giggle and point to the door behind you.
Drew smiles and nods, "Inside we go," and you turn around and walk towards the entrance, with him following you.
When you open the door to loud music and people talking, you can sense Drew's presence near to you, his hands positioning themselves on your lower back in a courteous gesture that does not make you feel strange.
You scan the bar, looking for your friends. The jerk from earlier is clearly visible from the bar. You inform Drew that this is the jackass that went off on you.
Drew pauses what he is doing, "hey buddy, next time you speak to a woman like that again I'll have you wish you never said those words again, you got it?" His statements are severe and serious.
You couldn't believe what was happening. No man has ever done that for you before. You're the one who goes off on the guy and they leave, but this was unbelievable.
"S-sorry for what I said," the guy apologizes, his voice filled with terror. You give him a phony smile before walking away with Drew.
"Thank you for that, Drew. You should've seen the look on his face earlier when I went off on him," you chuckle, patting his forearm.
Drew smiles, "Of course, and no woman should have to go through that." He needed to talk reason into him. "You ultimately stood up for yourself."
That made you smile.
You spent the rest of the night with your girls, and Drew invited his buddies over to hang out by the booth area, where you all talked and drank together.

SHOULD I?
Glimpse Into the Future - Jamie Tartt x fem!PA reader
Masterlist
A/N: Tiny Baby Chapter
TW: cursing
It had been months since Y/N had found out she was pregnant, and with each passing day, Jamie couldn’t shake the thought of her in a white dress at the end of an altar.
Every time he saw her, especially with the growing bump, it was like the world had hit him with a massive wave of clarity. This was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. She is the one.
But, like everything else, it wasn’t simple.
In his head, Jamie had it all figured out—he’d pop the question, they’d get married, and raise their little one together, happy and whole. But in real life, things were a little more complicated. And so, as per usual, he turned to his mates for advice.
But the thing about his mates was... they all had their own opinions.
It started with Roy Kent, who had been completely indifferent about Jamie’s idea. They were sitting in the locker room after training, Jamie changing into his usual clothes when he casually dropped the bomb.
"I’m thinkin' about askin’ her, Roy," Jamie said, staring at the ground as he pulled on his shoes.
Roy didn’t even look up from his desk. "What, marryin' her?"
"Yeah," Jamie muttered, rubbing his neck. "You think I should do it?"
Roy, ever the man of few words, just shrugged. "You should’ve done it years ago if you were a real man, mate."
Jamie blinked, his brow furrowing. "I—"
Roy didn’t care. "She's basically been acting like your wife since you hired her. But whatever. Do what you want. Just don’t make it some big dramatic bullshit. It’s Y/N. She’ll love whatever you do."
Jamie nodded, feeling both reassured and slightly confused by Roy’s blunt response.
Next up was Keeley, who, unsurprisingly, had a strong opinion. She’d been all about supporting Jamie’s and Y/N's relationship from the start, and this was no different. She was the baby's godmother after all.
"Jamie, listen to me," Keeley said, sitting across from him at the café they were at for lunch. "She’s definitely gonna say yes. But you have to consider something."
Jamie’s excitement immediately shifted to nerves. "What do you mean?"
Keeley leaned in, her voice lowering to a more serious tone. "Well, you know she’s pregnant, right? And, I mean, that’s a big deal. Do you really think she’ll feel comfortable being pregnant, walking down the aisle with a big belly?"
Jamie blinked, processing her words. "What do you mean?"
"I just don’t want her to feel uncomfortable or like it’s happening for the wrong reasons," Keeley explained, her voice softening. "You know how she is. She might feel like you're doing it out of obligation. I#m guessing you'd want to marry he before the baby comes?"
Jamie’s mind started racing. Was Keeley right? Was he moving too fast? Was Y/N even ready for all of this?
"Maybe you’re right," Jamie mumbled, glancing down at his coffee, feeling suddenly uncertain.
Keeley smiled, patting his hand. "Just make sure she’s happy, Jamie. That’s all I’m saying."
Next came Sam, who was always the thoughtful one. He looked at Jamie across the table of a pub they met up at, his expression serious as he took a sip of his drink.
"I just think," Sam started slowly, "if you’re gonna propose, it should be about you two and not about her belly. I mean, I know she’s pregnant, but you want her to say yes because she wants to marry you, not because she feels like it’s the right thing to do. She's probably very hormonal, we don't know how she'll react."
Jamie nodded, hearing Sam out. "You think she might not want to marry me now?"
Sam smiled, but it was a little sad. "No. I think she’ll love you no matter what. But you need to make sure she doesn’t feel rushed or pressured into something she’s not ready for."
Jamie felt torn. Would Y/N think he was trying to force things? Was it really better to wait until after the baby was born?
The rest of the boys, on the other hand, were practically buzzing with excitement the moment Jamie mentioned the idea.
"Wait, you’re proposing?" Dani’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. "What can I do to help? I’ll be your best man!"
Jamie chuckled. "You’re not gonna be the best man, Dani."
"Why not?" Dani pouted dramatically. "I could get you a nice suit! And we can practice speeches!"
Jamie shook his head, laughing despite himself. "Dani, you're not helping."
"Okay, okay," Dani said, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "But can I at least pick the music for the wedding? I’ll make sure it’s perfect!"
Isaac chuckled at his eager teammate. "I’ll be in charge of the cake."
"Yeah, don’t go overboard," Jamie said, shaking his head. "This is supposed to be simple. Not a circus."
The rest of the guys chimed in, already planning Jamie’s proposal in their heads. The mood in the locker room was a stark contrast to the nerves swirling in Jamie’s stomach.
Meanwhile, Y/N had no idea what was going on.
She was too busy managing the day-to-day, making sure Jamie was in the right place at the right time, and figuring out how to juggle the whole assistant-and-girlfriend thing while being pregnant on top of that.
As she sat in the office, typing up her notes, her phone buzzed with a message from Keeley.
Keeley: "How's everything going with Jamie and the baby?"
Y/N smiled at the text. Things were going well. They’d been living in their new house for a long time now, and despite a few hiccups, they were settling in. She didn’t suspect that Jamie had been having a secret conversation with all of his friends about proposing.
She put the phone down, feeling a little giddy just thinking about their little family. The baby was coming soon, and life was finally falling into place.
But as much as she felt content, there was a part of her that still was a little scared about all of it—marriage included.
Little did she know, Jamie was already working on making sure her answer would be a big yes.

rhett asks? say no more! I’m thinking about rhett dealing with an injury in which he has to depend on you to help take care of him. he hates it, he’s used to being independent and being the one who takes care of things. so now that his independence is kind of taken away, he feels like such a burden and he feels so helpless. he doesn’t want to make things hard on you, even though you’re happy to help. i think he would end up wallowing for a bit and it would take you holding his face in your hands and firmly but lovingly telling him how much you love him and how he could never be a burden to you. you’re in it for the long haul. for better or worse. and throughout his healing process he realizes just how sincerely you meant those words. he comes out on the other side of it with a deeper awe and appreciation of you. anyway i should shut up now because i’m rambling 🤭
Hurt Rhett! My favorite trope :(
I don't think Rhett realizes how independent he truly is until it's taken away from him. He's so used to doing things by himself that it's almost second nature to him. He's just never classified it as 'independent' because he lived at home and just figured that independence doesn't count when he's still got chores and has to hear his brother snoring from across the house.
The big dummy is so stubborn when he's hurt and has no choice but to rely on you for most of his daily tasks 😭"No, I can do it!" as he's visibly struggling to hobble down the hallway on one foot. Crutches, a cast on his foot, and doctor's orders are not enough to keep that man from trying his luck. At some point, you do briefly consider tying him to the damn bed. It seems that every time you look away, he's on the move. Every time he falls, he insists he can get back up despite fully knowing that he wasn't able to do so the last three times this has happened.
There's one night when you wake up to the sound of him falling in the kitchen; how he wound up there, you have no idea, but he stubbornly tried to make himself a midnight snack instead of waking you up and asking for help. Now he and the bread are sitting on the floor, helpless, until you mosey into the room and pick them both up.
In his head, he thinks sheer willpower is all he needs to get through this; it's just a matter of him trying hard enough. But it? Doesn't work like that?? And you're beginning to think that nothing short of taking his face into your hands and gently shaking him is going to get it through that thick skull of his.
That bull rider balance and strength does make some things so much easier for you, omg. Especially when you're trying to help him with things like showering (read: he's a little too big to fit into the bath, so he's got no choice but to stand and shower), changing clothes, and generally anything that requires him to balance on one foot.
The turning point is when Rhett realizes that his arms still work and that there's absolutely nothing stopping him from wrapping them around you every time you help him up. Oh, you were planning to take him down the hall to bed? Sorry, he's gotten his arms around you and buried his face into the side of your neck. You're gonna be here for a while 🌸

Buckle up y’all, this took me through a loop. This is based on an idea that @rebeccaartsy had awhile ago about Hunter being in the show earlier and it inspired this and it kinda just went… woah. So lemme know if it’s confusing at all there’s just a *smidge* of angst but I really like it okay bye
UPDATE: mini sequel here
———
“Gus, listen,” said Hunter, as he walked through the open door of the Owl House. “Obviously, there is classified information that I can’t divulge but upon consideration I am willing to grant you an interview for your class. The Emperor’s Coven values education, and so I could definitely offer you information regarding our selection process which I’m sure your teachers will find impressive and- why is Willow upside down?”
“Oh, Amity set Willow’s mind on fire and now she’s losing all her memories,” said Luz with a nervous chuckle as both girls tried to keep her from falling off the couch. “But uh, whaaat’s up with you?”
“What?” He said running over to her side and helping her sit correctly on the couch and immediately began checking her vitals. “Is she okay?”
“Don’t worry blondie, we’re gonna get these knuckleheads in there to set things right,” said Eda from behind them. “Or at least less wrong.”
“You’re gonna entrust Willow’s mind in the hands of… them?” Said Hunter in disdain as he glared at Luz and Amity who honestly couldn’t argue with him. Willow was limpm in his arms, her eyes unable to focus. “They were the ones who put her in this situation in the first place! Not to mention, this location isn’t zoned for a spell of that caliber and as a member of the Emperor’s Coven I could-.”
“Listen, do you want it done soon or do you want it done legally?” Asked Eda. “Cause by the time we get the permits to do it your way Goldie, there won’t be any of Willow’s memories left to save.”
“Very well then,” said Hunter, pretending as though it was a hard decision. “I’ll allow it. Just… be careful with her.”
“Alright then,” said Eda. “Lemme whip up something to put her to sleep. She’s not gonna wanna be awake for this.”
“Oh look, the prince is here,” giggled Willow, leaning on Hunter’s shoulder for support as she noticed his presence for the first time. “Helloooo, your highness.”
“Uh, hi,” he said, not expecting her to be this close to him but knowing that pouting distance between them would cause her to fall. “A-re you oka-.”
“Shhh,” she said, putting her finger to his lips, whispering as though it was the most serious thing on earth. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
“What?” he said despite his lips being smushed, hanging on to her words with concern.
She took a deep breath. “You have beautiful eyes.” She whispered with intensity.
His face turned bright crimson as he tried to laugh, assuming it must be a joke of some sort. But Willow’s voice didn’t carry the disdain most jokes at Hunter’s expense carried. She wasn’t in her right mind, but maybe that didn’t mean she wasn’t serious.
“Oh uh… thank you?” He said, clearing his throat. “So, uh, s-so do you?”
“Hmmm,” she giggled then hiccuped, squinting at him and then leaning in closer as though she couldn’t quite see something. “Do they make you wear that mask because you're so handsome all the time?”
“What?”
To the side, Luz and Amity were trying in vain not to giggle. Hunter shot them another glare, knowing this was no time for laughter let alone from them.
“How could you let this happen?” he asked them through clenched teeth and they quickly felt guilty. Even though Eda had a solution, this was serious. As Hunter’s stern eyes reminded them that this was their doing, Willow’s finger slowly made its way to trap Hunter’s forelock, twirling it around her finger.
“Awwwh, look at the widdle worm,” she whispered, enchanted by its delicate spring. Hunter couldn’t help but smile.
“Oh suuuure when she calls it a worm it's cute but when I do it you threaten to banish me!” said Hooty with disdain.
“Well that’s because you tried to eat it!” said Hunter as Willow continued to coo at his hair. She did this often, usually when he was upset or grumpy she’d flick it or pull it and for some reason it calmed him down. Her teasing wasn’t cruel or spiteful, it was silly and sweet. Now, she was beyond silly but playing with his hair seemed to distrust her from wandering away so Hunter said nothing of it.
“Woooormy wormy worm,” Willow sang to herself as Hunter steadied her by her shoulders and subtly checked her for any signs of external injury. But it appeared the only damage was her mind, for now at least. He would find time to be furious with Blight and the human later, but now his concern outweighed any other emotion he could hope to have now.
Soon Willow erupted into a sea of giggles as she remembered her worm friend was attached to a person. “Well helloooo again, princey” she said, her voice low and playful, trying to wiggle her eyebrows. “You come here often?”
“Uh… yeah?”
“Hmmm exactly how many worms are you hiding?” she whispered as though she was being spied on. “Are you stealing them from my garden?”
“Uh, I don’t know how to answer that, it’s not-.”
“Nap time!” Said Eda, zapping something in their direction and Willow instantly fell asleep, leaning forward onto Hunter’s shoulder. He was unprepared to say the least, but tentatively put an arm around her to keep her upright, his eyes wide as his movements were careful.
“Alright coven boy, you keep Princess Planter comfy while I tell these two how to keep things from getting worse,” instructed Eda, pointing to Luz and Amity.
“Yeah sure okay,” replied Hunter, barely listening. Eda was telling Luz and Amity something but all Hunter could hear was the gentle sound of Willow snoring, her breathing slow and deep and peaceful. He has never been so close to her, he could see every delicate freckle that decorated her face. Her glasses were askew so he carefully removed them, because it just seemed like the thing to do. Her mind was on fire, the least he could do was make her more comfortable.
After Amity and Luz had been on their mission for a while, Hunter did not leave Willow’s side as he watched her eyes shift behind her eyelids as she… dreamed? Would she think this was all a dream? She would mumble things occasionally, hopefully that meant something good? She just looked so-
“Hey Hunter, you want in on this?” Asked Gus.
“Huh?” He looked up quickly as though he was being accused of something. He hadn’t been listening. Hadn’t he been tasked with monitoring her? Is that what Eda said or had he just done it naturally? “Sorry, what?”
“King and Eda are competing to be the subject of my interview,” repeated Gus. “You still want in?”
Hunter had forgotten all about being the subject of Gus’ report as he became engrossed in watching Willow sleep. Was that creepy? He didn’t mean it to be. He just felt… protective. He felt responsible. He could never fall asleep like this with anyone unless he trusted them completely. He had never fallen asleep around anyone. And he knew Willow did not have a choice in the matter but he wanted to be worthy of her trust anyway.
“Uh, no thanks maybe next time,” he said, uncharacteristically soft. “Someone should keep an eye on Willow.”
“Eh, she’s not going anywhere goldie,” said Eda as a twinkle entered her eye. “Buuuut when she does wake up, she’s probably gonna be hungry. Having the essence of your inner being threatened really takes alot out of you.”
“Oh yeah, sure,” said Hunter, looking at her in wonder. She seemed to be doing fine, but no doubt there would be brutal side effects. “Should I-.”
“Snacks! Snacks! Snacks!” chanted King.
“Oh yeah, uh I guess I could… do that,” he said softly. He wasn’t sure why he was being quiet, no one else was. But his usual tone didn’t seem fitting now. Normally, he would not take orders (or even suggestions) from civilians but if it was for Willow then it didn’t feel like succumbing to rank. It felt like helping. It felt purposeful. He carefully stood up, mourning the loss of warmth for only a moment, and placed Willow comfortably on the couch carefully guiding her head to a throw pillow. As he made his way to the kitchen, his eyes were glued to her until it was impossible to continue. Eda,King, and Gus were too occupied in their debate to notice.
Willow was going to be fine, she had to be. Everyone would be acting more worried if she wasn’t, right? She had always been strong and capable, he knew her mind couldn’t be much different. He turned his focus from concern into purpose. He wouldn’t admit it to the others, but he was thankful for the distraction. He felt foolish just sitting there not being able to do anything for her. He had never actually made something before, but how hard could it be? He had studied under the head of the Potions coven, how different was baking from that?
As he looked through Eda’s cupboards, Willow’s words echoed in his ears. Well, not all of them. There was one in particular, occupied by the way the ends of her mouth turned up as she said it that made his stomach flip.
Handsome.
No one had ever called him that before, not even ironically. Did she really think that? Why did he care so much if she did? Why, suddenly, did he want so much for her to?
Was it really suddenly though?
Ugh! Why hadn’t he said something cooler? He wasn’t sure she’d even remember saying it, but if she did he didn’t want his surprised reaction to prevent her from possibly repeating herself! He had never had issue thinking of clever retorts (though, to be fair he did do a fair deal of practicing in his bedroom mirror each night) and they often fell into a comfortable conversation. But sometimes she would say something a certain way or look at him too long and it would throw him off. Not in a bad way, no nothing at all like that, just… unexpected. She laughed at the jokes people would roll their eyes at or ask him to continue where normally he was cut off and all the little things just kept adding and piling up until Hunter didn’t know how he was supposed to carry them. She was so many little things, like the way she tilted her head when she asked him a silly question or how her glasses would slide off her edge of her nose when she got excited or the way she would stand close to him and sometimes their hands would brush like she didn’t care if they-
Focus! He thought, taking ingredients from the cabinets. There wasn’t much and what there was seemed to have no organizational system but he could resolve that after he figured out what to whip up. Something simple, something to show Willow he wanted to help. He didn’t know her well enough to enter her mind with Luz and Amity, but secretly he hoped he was getting there.
Eventually, he managed to make something that resembled cookies, the smell filled the kitchen and it surprisingly wasn't an awful smell?. He remembered Willow mentioned once she was eager to get home as her father had made some and they were waiting for her. Truthfully, Hunter had never tasted a cookie but he had seen them when he walked by the bakery in town and knew the basics of their structure. Surely if he had taken a wrong turn the smell would reflect that, right? He imagined the look on Willow’s face when she saw his creation, and maybe even liked it. The flipped feeling returned to his stomach and spread through his whole chest like a wild fire when the potential look of delight on her face graced his mind.
In his efforts, he had made quite the mess. But he couldn’t help but feel pride as he quickly plated his creation, eager to return to Willow’s side. He didn’t think too much into this, he was always excited to see Willow. He tried not to think too much into that, chalking it up to the fact that she was interesting and a good listener and funny and smart and pretty and-
The point was she didn’t find him totally annoying, so why shouldn’t he enjoy her company?
And if she happened to think he was a little handsome then, well, that wasn’t the worst thing.
As he set the cookies to cool, he heard a sudden commotion from the next room. He quickly ran to see the cause, hoping it was a good sign. There was a bright flash and then he heard Luz and Amity. He stood back a moment, trying to deduce their tone before he heard Willow speak. Her voice was horse and soft, but he could tell she was back to normal. Good, he thought, feeling as though he could finally breathe again. She’s okay, she’s okay.
He went to greet her but before he could leave the kitchen, he was stopped by Luz. Before he could offer a snarky question as to what exactly she thought she was doing, she looked at him with wide, concerned eyes.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, furrowing his brow. He tried to look past her to see what was going on. “Is she okay? Did something happen to-?”
“Willow’s fine.” she assured him, putting her arm up to stop him. “There were just some… complications.”
“What complications? Was she hurt? Does she need-?”
“No no, nothing like that but um there were some memories… we couldn’t save,” said Luz carefully.
“Like what? Did she forget something for a test she has? Because I can always-.”
“No, no uh there were more… recent memories,” Luz tried to figure out the nicest way to say this. ”Hunter, I’m sorry but we were still figuring out how things worked and it all happened so fast but… Willow doesn’t remember you.”
“What?” He felt something shatter.
“I’m so sorry, but hey, it’s an easy fix! Right? We can just introduce you now!”
“Yeah, uh I guess…” he said, looking at his current state. He had thrown on an old apron and was covered in flour, his hair a mess. This night was already so chaotic, it hardly seemed like a time Willow would want to meet someone new. He didn’t know how Luz would even go about it.
When he and Willow had first met, Luz had already given her opinions to her friends when it came to the Golden Guard. She described him as pretentious and rude and socially awkward. But when she had stumbled upon Hunter hanging upside down by his ankles after taking a wrong turn and falling into a den of wild climbing hysteria vines, she had no idea who he was. He had been so grumpy and flustered and embarrassed but had he known exactly who had come to his rescue his gratitude would not have been so halfhearted.
She didn’t seem to be bothered by it, and she didn’t brag or showboat as she easily helped him down. She laughed, not to mock him but to try and lessen his embarrassment as though she could relate. It could happen to anyone, she had said as she helped remove the remaining vines from him. When I first started on the plant track I had my fair share of run-ins with these troublemakers, she said as she carefully untangled them. Hunter could tell she could do it easily with magic but she did it by hand so as to ensure he was not hurt. He was speechless as he watched her work, she was focused; she didn’t ridicule him or ask for anything in return or gripe about how he was making her late, she just helped him because doing so was just in her nature. When she finished, he managed to mumble something resembling a thank you before she kept running to her destination, unaware they were heading to the same place.
She didn’t ask for anything in return, not snails or a favor or did anything to use the moment as blackmail. She didn’t mention it in front of the others when they met again at the Owl House. From that moment on, she occupied a part of Hunter’s mind he didn’t know was available. Now he had a chance for her to see him exactly as he wanted to be seen from the beginning and it felt like a chance he needed to seize.
He had a second chance at a first impression.
His mind made up, he looked around for a way out before the human could return with Willow. Quickly, he climbed out the window and landed in a bush. He ducked beneath the window and pressed his back against the wall as he heard Willow and Luz enter the kitchen.
“Huh, where did he go?” he heard Luz wonder.
“Who was this again?” Willow asked, her voice still raspy as though she was utterly exhausted.
“Uh, it’s kinda hard to explain,” Luz admitted. “But, he’ll be around again. I know he really wants to meet you!”
“Okay,” said Willow, uncertain. “If you say so.”
He couldn't help but think about the chill that went up his spine when she looked into his eyes. He didn’t understand exactly what it was but he knew it wasn’t nothing. He wanted Willow to know a better version of him. He cared what she thought. When she met him this time, he wanted it to be a meeting worth remembering.
But the more time that passed, the more Hunter built it up in his mind.
He wanted to be charming and funny and brave and smart and cool and so many things he wasn't totally sure he had ever actually been, forget all at once. But there was so much to condired! The setting, the time of day, how her day had been, He didn;t want to be associated with a bad day and he wasn’t totally sure what preconceived notions she had about him. Luz and Gus had promised not to say anything about him to her, feeling guilty that she had lost a part of herself, but the Golden Guard was a public figure and he couldn’t control things she might overhear.
And then his uncle made him head of the Emperor's Coven, and he had less time to conduct his perfect meeting.
Then one day, Darius told him to collect new recruits for the Coven and Hunter knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
---
Willow just couldn’t shake the feeling that she had seen Hunter before. Had he been posing as a student awhile before she had used her vine to rip him from the sky? Despite his upbringing, Willow had a feeling this form of undercover did not come so naturally to him. She was certain that had he been at Hexisde before today she would’ve noticed with certainty. Had she seen him at the market maybe? Perhaps there was a day where he wanted to avoid attention and did not wear his mask as he bought trinkets and groceries. Even then, he was hardly the type to indulge in leisure; she had a feeling it was unlikely he’d linger in a crowd long enough for her to catch a glimpse of his maroon eyes or the way his gap tooth showed when he smiled.
Stranger still, the things that seemed most familiar about him were the more detail oriented. He seldom smiled, as though he was saving it, but when he did it made Willow’s heart and head spin like they were working together to create a whirlpool of deja vu.
There weren’t many places their paths could have crossed, maybe it was as far back as before she and Amity had their falling out. The Blights did alot of business with the emperor, maybe he had accompanied Darius once when he was picking up an order while she was over visiting.
Maybe she had walked by him at Covention? But wouldn’t he be too busy and wearing his mask the whole time? Oh, it was going to kill her! She had to know! As her mind began to race, her scroll let out a tiny ding.
Willow’s heart froze for a moment as she opened the app and a huge smile engulfed her face.
Rulerzreachf4n wants to send you a message
She quickly accepted.
RULERZREACHF4N: hI
RULERZREACHF4N: iT s hunt er.
RULERZREACHF4N: Im s orry about the ki DNApping stuf f
“Woah,” giggled Willow as another text bubble appeared. “He is a slow typer.”
“Is that Hunter?” Gus asked. “Oh thank Titan, is he finally messaging you?”
“Yeah, he-,” her smiled dropped and she brought her scroll closer to her face. “Huh, that’s weird.”
“What?” asked Gus.
“I went to respond to him and it looks like we already had other messages,” said Willow, scrolling. “But how? Unless he was already following me but i- wait.” She went silent again as she explored the interactions of their profiles. “Hunter was already following me on penstagram and he liked like all of my pictures too.”
“Oh haha that’s so weird,” said Gus nervously. “Lemme see your scroll, I bet it’s like a virus or something I can fix, just let me-.”
He went to reach for her scroll but Willow pulled it aware, giving him a suspicious look.
Gus sighed. “Okay, listen; it’s… complicated. But we all promised Hunter we wouldn’t say anything. I didn’t wanna delete your conversations so I blocked him on your account until he was ready, but I didn’t know he was gonna wait this long!”
“What are you talking about?”
“I think… this might be something he has to tell you in person.”
---
Could he just message her?
Hey, this is totally random but I actually already kind of knew you but you don’t remember me. So I know alot about you, but not in a creepy way because I like you… also not in a creepy way. I might seem creepy but I-
“Oh boy that’s a run-on sentence for sure,” he said, looking at the gibberish he typed. But every time he went to try and fix it it made things worse. He put his scroll away as he continued to walk around the castle garden, hoping inspiration would strike.
Wasn’t the plan always to start over? Didn’t he want her view of him to be brand new? The fresh start was tempting, but now that he had Willow back in his life, he couldn’t wait any longer. He wanted to dive back in, he wanted to know everything that had happened since the last time he saw her. He had an outside view from her penstagram, Gus had found a way to still allow him access to her through that but we wanted to know more beyond her cute captions. He wanted to show her all the cute photos of Flapjack he had taken (the palisman wanted more than anything to meet the girl his boy ranted about so often), to share with her all the new plants he had seen on mission in demand dangerous parts of the Isles, more than anything he wanted to hear her laugh again.
Okay, maybe he could compromise. Maybe he could still be this cool and confident person to her, and slowly bring up other moments they had shared. But to only keep the good parts and omit the awkward and embarrassing moments was lying, wasn’t it? Willow had never lied to him, even in her attempts to spare his feelings she always found a better way to phrase things, but she would never lie to him.
But if he wanted her to know about the way his heart stopped when she held his hand during their moonlight conjuring, he’d have to admit that he had not been invited and how Luz did not hesitate to remind him every time he spoke. If he wanted her to know about the fun they had at Covention darting to all the different booths as he pulled rank to get her the best swag, he’d have to share that he was only able to do so because Lilith thought he was an annoying twerp and said she gave him a headache. If he wanted Willow to know him, she had to know all the parts of him that he didn’t like.
But she hadn’t seemed to mind them so much the first time around.
He would have been Caleb forever if he had his way. To have Willow look at him with pride when they had won the match, to be someone she associated with strength and victory and talent. But Gus would know of his deception and conceal his connection to the coven would only create more trouble. But- oh his head was spinning with all the things he could do next he felt like he was upside down.
And then he was literally upside down.
He could tell by the skillful way the vines wrapped around him that she had captured him by launching the vine over the branch of the nearby tree and pulling back like a well crafted trap so he’d be helpless to her ambush. His eyes shook open to meet hers, a sparkling peridot green littered with embers of suspicion and determination.
“H-hey captain,” he sputtered both happy and terrified to see her. “W-what’s going on?”
“You tell me,” she said, holding up her scroll and using her finger to scroll through a stream of messages spanning over several months.
Oh yeah, he thought, she can see those now.
“Heh, uh I-I can explain…”
“I’m waiting.”
He could explain, he just didn’t know how. Where was he supposed to start?
“So, uh, here’s the thing I was… well, we were… I mean, okay so-.”
Willow slowly released him to the ground, trying to decipher why exactly he’d be so nervous. She wasn’t totally sure what she had been expecting. As he dusted himself off, she tried to pinpoint what exactly she had been hoping he’d say. Maybe it was more complicated than she thought. The fact that she had come all this way so late instead of messaging or calling him told her that deep down she already knew it was complicated.
Hunter took a deep breath and started over, from the beginning.
“We’ve met before.”
“Hmmm,” said Willow, careful not to jump to conclusions. Hunter could tell she was rightfully skeptical.
“Wait, wait! Proof! I have proof!” He frantically exclaimed, reaching into the pocket of his jacket to grab something. “Here!”
He held between his fingers what appeared to be a small piece of paper. Willow reached out and carefully took it, sensing he kept it on his person and close by for a reason. She turned it around and saw it was a photograph of them. She could tell by the texture that it was a memory, her memory. But she could not recall it.
She was laughing, her smile bright and wide. In one arm, she held a stunning Juliet orchid, a bright healthy golden yellow and the other one pulled Hunter close to her as his face held an expression of pride. She remembered when she had finally gotten the orchid to bloom, getting her into the advanced perennial placements which was composed of only the most gifted students about to graduate. She had been so proud of herself for finally conjuring it, but her memory had her alone when the orchid appeared.
“How did you get this?”
“Luz said you had been doing a school assignment about memory and ones involving me had somehow been destroyed,” he said. “But then she mentioned that there might be memories of me intact back in your classroom. So I went to the school and this was one she had pulled that had me in it. It wasn’t anything major and Eda said trying to restore them would do more harm than good, that it wouldn’t make me relevant or anything, just familiar looking, like any other stranger.”
He said the words delicately like being a stranger to her was a fate worse than death. Despite the seriousness of the matter, Willow had a feeling he had. A flair for the dramatics.
“But it meant that if we ever did meet again that you wouldn’t be able to totally register me,” he said. “So I kept it because strangers don’t produce vivid memories like this.”
“This is only one photo,” she said. “It’s possible that it did-.”
“No, because I have a matching memory!” He said, reaching down to pull another photo from his pocket. “See?”
The photos were nearly identical. They were of the same moment, that was certain, but there was variation in their faces. In Willow’s memory, Hunter’s face matched her own but in Hunter's there was a rosy tint to the scene and his smile seemed more flustered.
“Weird,” she breathed. “Why does yours look different?”
“Because I think that’s the moment when I started…”
Her eyes darted from the photo to him now, trying to read his expression to know why he couldn’t finish that sentence.
“Yeah?”
“It was… an important moment.”
“Oh,” she said, looking at the photo again. “Yeah, it was for me. But how did helping me with an assignment make it important for you?”
“Because I helped you,” he said simply. “I mean, I’m supposed to help people all the time I-I try to, but you were so excited that I felt… important. I was happy because you were happy and… I dunno, it just felt nice.”
Willow brought the picture closer to her face. She couldn’t help but feel slightly memorized by her own face, seeing herself smile so wide, so obviously happy in a moment that was partially lost to her. There was no question about how she felt here, and it felt odd to feel envious of herself. Something in her heart told her that she really liked knowing this boy, and even more so she liked being known by him.
Had it been any other girl in the photo, she’d say with complete confidence that they were a couple.
“Were we… friends?” She asked carefully, hoping he’d understand the deeper meaning within the question.
He didn’t. “Oh yeah,” he said. “Well… yeah, I like to think so. Sorry, I’m still getting used to a lot of normal teenager things but I think… yeah; we were friends. You were a really great friends, er are a really great friend.”
“Were we… just friends?” She tried again, biting her lip trying not to get her hopes up. But something told her it needed to be asked. Maybe it was how incredibly charming she found his smile, was her mind trying to bring back a memory or had she always just thought he was cute?
“Yeah,” he said quickly, his face turning a faint red. “Well, uh, I-I-I uh think so. I mean, there were times where we- where I- thought that maybe we could-.”
He looked back up at her and caught her eyes, wide and hanging on his every word. She trusted him, he held parts of her past that were unreachable to her. He didn’t want to risk twisting her understanding or putting his own thoughts in her mind just because he hoped they had once been similar. But as much as he admired her, those eyes reminded him how he chickened out every time he got close to bringing up his feelings. They just left him too paralyzed and entranced, even when she considered him a stranger.
“Yeah?” She prompted him to finish. He gulped and pressed on.
“Well, I guess… I know how I felt but I can’t speak for how you felt,” he said carefully.
“Do you… still feel that way?”
“I mean I uh…. Well, it doesn’t really matter,” he said with a forced chuckle that suggested the opposite. “I can’t just expect things to go back to the way they were.”
“Why not?”
“Well, I have more responsibilities now- we both do, I suppose,” he said. “Before, I’d have the occasional mission but now I’m the head of the Emperor's coven. And I’m not supposed to have those feelings anyway.”
She felt her breath stop, as though trying to make the world quieter so she could hear his words longer. She could tell Hunter had a hard time with words if they were informal, so it was possible he was referring merely to friendship. But something about the way he couldn’t decide if he should or shouldn’t look at her, the way she could tell he definitely wanted to, allowed her to assume it was more. Either way, he had feelings for her and she wanted so desperately to hear more about them.
“Well, I won’t hold that against you,” she assured him. “I know we can’t undo me forgetting you, and I know I’m never going to remember things involving you from my perspective, but it makes sense. There are times where I feel like there’s a hole, like a skip. Things that Luz or Gus will say that just don’t quite line up or make total sense and I’m guessing those are things that involve you, conversations we had.”
“Yeah,” said Hunter. “I really liked talking to you.”
“I liked talking to you too,” she said. “Well, I’m assuming so after browsing through our old messages on penstagram. A lot of late nights.”
He blushed. “Yeah, I uh keep strange hours,” he said. “But you always said it was okay.”
“Is your keyboard broken or something?” She chuckled. “Cuz a lot of them I had to read two or three times.”
“Oh, uh no I’m still getting used to typing,” he laughed. “I’m probably not better now, you were really the only person I ever messaged.”
“Well, I’d love to go over them with you,” she said. “And maybe you can fill me in on some other things we used to talk about.”
“Like what?”
She shrugged. “Luz said you used to come to Owl House all the time,” said Willow. “But did we ever hang out, like just us? Did we have inside jokes or did I tell you all my secrets? I’ve got some catching up to do.”
“I can write them down for you too,” he said with a smile. “My handwriting is much better than my typing, I promise.”
“I’d like that,” she smiled, she always did love getting letters. “But why didn’t you try sooner?”
“I wanted to make a better first impression, I wanted to be better,” he said. “When I first met you, I was unkind and rude and just not very pleasant. But spending time with you… made me happier and I think it made me more fun to be around. I wanted you to see the best version of me because I just really… value your opinion.”
“So why didn’t you just introduce yourself?”
“There was never a good time,” he sighed as he started to pace. “Whenever I did see you before, it was because I snuck away or you found me. I didn’t want to rush it because what if I said something that would be okay if you knew me but not if it was the first thing I ever said to you and it made you never want to see me again? It had to be perfect. I wanted you to think I was cool and worth knowing.”
“Well, I think it’s sweet how important to you it was but I’m pretty sure you had nothing to worry about.”
He smiled and shook his head. He knew it was true, deep down. He knew Willow was wise and kind and patient. He knew she’d give him a second chance if he embarrassed himself, he knew she could see more in people than they could see in themselves.
“Anyway, I just couldn’t wait any longer because I-.”
“Realized how silly you were being?”
“Because I missed you too much,” he finished softly. He said it like it was the only constant truth he had ever known, so simple and yet the weight it carried could easily crush him. He missed seeing her smile up close, he missed his name on her lips, he missed the way the air seemed lighter around her. Starting over didn't seem so bad as long as he got the chance to spend time with her again. The feeling was almost overwhelming, being so close to the way things were before.
Willow wondered if the feeling in her heart was familiar or brand new as she felt his gaze surround her. Everything about him seemed sharp and jagged but the moment she found his eyes, he was the softest boy in the world. They had known pain, anger and loneliness but the moment they registered her she saw it all melt away and he gladly succumbed to the comfort of her company. She had a feeling the adrenaline that coursed through her veins and made her face flush wasn’t solely from the match.
“I think… I missed you too,” she said. She knew it didn’t make sense but at the same time nothing had ever made more sense. She knew was saying she missed someone she had never met as far as she knew, but she had felt this way before. She had felt this way with Gus and with Luz, like they were always meant to be with her. Like when she’d think of a happy memory from before they had met, her mind wanted to insert them in it. But this was different. Because Hunter actually could fall into these memories.
He smiled, welcoming the contradiction, grateful for it even. He looked like he might cry, as though no one had ever said they had missed him before.
A comfortable silence twirled between them and just like with every comfort Hunter provided Willow wondered how many times she had felt this way and if she had intended to do anything about it.
“So… have you tried to come back any other times?” she asked, fiddling with her braid.
“Well, uh… the first time,” started Hunter clearing his throat, slightly self-conscious. “Was uh, a little while after the incident. I wanted to see if you recovered, give you time to see if anything could be done because I uh… well, right before that happened I was bringing you some reading material I had found about Gromethius, since he lives beneath your school.”
Translation: Suddenly I could tie everything I read back to you somehow as an excuse to come share it with you.
“And you told me that they treat his awakening as a big party and I was commenting on how ridiculous the event sounded and you asked me if I wanted to see it for myself. I said I couldn’t just go because I didn’t attend Hexisde and it wasn't a threat that constituted coven involvement. And you asked if I wanted to go so you could show me that it could be fun.”
“And you said yes?” Willow blushed. She had never had the courage to ask someone to Grom and he made her seem like it wasn’t something she’d freak out about. Was she actually this cool or did it just seem that way to him?
“Of course I did,” he said instinctively, suddenly unable to look at her. “Then Gus mentioned how going to Grom with someone has certain… implications. And it was all I could think about the whole week. Whether you had asked me as a friend or a-as a date.”
“So… which was it?”
“Well, we didn’t actually get to go to Grom.” He chuckled softly. “When it came around, you had already forgotten me so I couldn’t really ask you about something you couldn’t remember. But I thought it might be a good time to meet again.”
It really would’ve been, she thought.
“But then there was added pressure because I still don't know if it was a date and you don’t remember asking me and you could’ve asked someone else or been asked by someone else so what if I showed up and you were-.”
“So you didn’t come?”
“No, I did… er, for a minute,” he said. “At the end.”
Her eyes lit up, making a connection. She let out a small gasp. “You were the boy with the bouquet.”
“I… yeah,” he said quietly.
She remembered it so clearly.
When the excitement of Grom was winding down, Willow had stepped outside for some air. It was the most interesting Grom in years, that was sure. She was there with her friend, she loved how she looked, she was having fun but it still felt like something was… missing. It itched at the back of her mind all night. Had she forgotten to turn in an assignment? Had she left the oven on? Was there something she had meant to bring with her?
Nevertheless, she took in the nighttime view in solitude, the distant sound of music pouring into the dark sky from the school. Usually at this point she would be overcome with nerves at the possibility of being Grom queen, but this year she didn’t have that anxiety. Of course, no one wants to face Grom and she certainly wasn’t disagreeing with that logic but something inside felt that now she would be capable of it. Funny how so much has changed in so little time. Who knows what next year would look like? Maybe she’d even have someone to-
“Wow,” her thoughts were interrupted by a soft voice she was sure she wouldn’t be able to hear if the door wasn’t closed. She turned and saw a boy in a finely tailored golden suit, like a prince who had escaped from a fairytale book.
“You look beautiful,” he breathed. And despite knowing that no one else was outside except her, it took her a moment to realize he was talking to her.
“Oh, uh thank you?” She said, not certain why she had phrased it like a question. She tucked her hair behind her ear, eating to see if he’d correct himself or take it back. But he didn’t. He just stood there, staring at her like she had been staring at the moon as he held his bouquet tightly. Despite a matching gold masquerade mask covering most of his face, the strong burgundy of his eyes found her in the moonlight. He looked like he was waiting for someone.
“Oh, sorry,” she said. “I’m probably interrupting something, huh? Sorry if you were waiting for someone I should-.”
“No!” He said, louder than he meant to before becoming bashful. “I-I mean uh well, I am kind of. Waiting for someone that is.”
“Oh, okay,” she said, understanding what waiting for someone on Grom night with a bouquet of flowers signified. She smiled. “Do you want me to go see if they’re inside?”
“No, no I uh know she’s not in there,” he said.
“Oh,” she said, and her heart sank for this lonely golden boy. “Oh, I’m sorry. Does she know you’re waiting?”
“No, I don’t think so,” he said. “But it’s okay, really. I just uh… it’s complicated.”
“Gotcha,” she said. For some reason, she related. She had never had something beyond a crush that the other party never even knew about, for some reason her heart understood the sentiment of not knowing where you stood with someone. Like she had been in his shoes in another life. “It’s uh, a really nice bouquet. You have good taste.”
“Yeah? Uh, thanks,” he said looking down at the flowers, as though waiting for them to weigh in.
“You’re welcome.’
“Would it be okay if I… gave them to you?” he asked, tentatively handing her the flowers. It was a lovely collection, she could tell it was carefully chosen and obviously made by someone who knew about floriography or made for someone who knew a lot about floriography.
“Are you sure?” She asked, captivated by the colors. “It’s so lovely, I wouldn’t want to-.”
“No, please,” he said. “It would mean a lot to me, really.”
“Well, okay,” she obliged, her nose instantly filing with the sweet, fresh aroma. Whoever this girl was, she had clearly done quite a number on him. “Thank you, I’ll take good care of them.”
“I know you will,” he said as though he knew her. She took in the collection and when she looked up to ask if he wanted to go inside and dance with her and her friends, he was gone. Had she not held the bouquet she had crafted, she would have sworn she had imagined him.
And now he stood before her once again.
“I still have it,” she said.
“What?”
“The bouquet,” she said. “You picked lovely, healthy flowers. They’re still in a vase on my desk in my room.
“Oh,” said Hunter, trying to hide his blush. “That’s… cool. I-I’m glad.”
“You should’ve stayed,” she continued. “We still could’ve danced.”
“Yeah, well…” he sighed, he wished he had stayed too.
“So… if it had been a date… you still would’ve came?” Willow asked as nonchalantly as she could.
“Huh?” Hunter said
“I uh… well, I mean it would be rude to turn down an invitation,” he stammered. “Especially to such a formal event I mean I-.”
“Did you want it to be a date?” She asked more directly.
“I… don’t know,” he admitted. “I don’t know if I’d know the difference? I just know I wanted to spend time with you and you looked really pretty and it made me feel stupid. I don’t know what that’s about.”
“I think I might,” she said, tucking her hair behind her air. The action felt familiar, instinctual. Like something about his voice triggered the response as though it had done it before. “Did you know there’s different kinds of memories?”
“Well yes, there’s important and less important, pleasant ones and unpleasant ones...”
“No,” she giggled. “I mean there’s different ways to remember things. Like smells can be linked to memories, not just visual things. Feelings and sounds.”
“Oh, yeah sure.”
“And when you talk to me, the sound of your voice just feels… familiar,” she said. “And I know I’ve never heard someone with a voice like yours before because it’s very-.”
“Annoying, I know,” he sighed as though embarrassed. “I hear the scouts talk about it all the time I’m trying to-.”
“No, not at all,” she cut him off. “No, I think it’s nice. It’s very unique is what I wanted to say. Like at Grom it was like my mind was racing trying to place it trying to connect it. The way it does when you hear part of a song you know you like but you don’t know the name. The way I feel when I smell a flower I’ve only ever smelled before in a bigger garden. ”
“Oh,” was all he could say. He had never had someone genuinely like his voice, let alone compare any aspect of him to a flower or a song .
“So even though I can’t remember things we did or things we said, I think I somehow can remember the way you made me feel,” she said. “I don’t think we got that far in the lesson so I’m not sure how it’s possible but I just… feel like I know you.’
“Is it… a good feeling?” He hesitated to ask.
She smiled and reached out to take his hand. “It’s a very good feeling,” she said.
He looked down at their hands and as much as everything about it made his heart race in elation, a twinge of guilt made its way through as memories he tried to forget bubbled up to the surface.
He sighed. This was the part he was dreading, this is what made coming back to her so hard. “It’s just…things have changed.”
“Yeah, but they’d change anyway,” she shrugged.
“But what if…” he hated himself for what he was about to say. “What if you’re better off without me?”
“What?”
“I mean, I dunno,” he removed his hand from hers and wrung his together, trying to delay the panic the realization brought with it. “W-what if I would’ve held you back? Or distracted you? I mean you’re so amazing and talented and people are always saying I’m in the way, what if I got in the way of you realizing your potential?”
“Hunter,” she couldn’t help but chuckle, considering the fact that she had just shown her a core memory that had started her rise to the top of her track that directly involved him. But he continued to rant.
“I-I mean whose to say I wouldn’t have ruined things eventually? I mean, you were always helping me and listening to me but why would I just assume that I was as important to you as you are to me-.”
“Hunter…”
“I mean, what if the enemies of the coven try to put your life in danger because of how they feel about me? Not to mention the Blight girl told me to stay away from you-.”
“Wait, what?”
Hunter’s words caught up with him and he was just too on a roll to not explain himself further.
“We had a… run in at Exclipe Lake,” he said. “She said I was a lot like her, and that you and her weren’t on the best terms. I mean, I figured that from the fact that she set your mind on fire. But she said that I would make your life complicated, that I might hurt you even if I didn’t mean to. And I … I don’t want to do that..”
“She thought you would hurt me?”
“I would never try to!” He said in a panic. “But I know what she means, the younger Blight and I have certain expectations to fill. My responsibilities nearly put you in danger, this wasn’t the first time. I should have realized I couldn’t change that.”
Willow’s hands balled into fists at her sides, thorny vines rose from the ground as though preparing to strike. “Did she say…” Willow took a deep breath and tried to steady her voice. “Did she say you shouldn’t be in my life?”
“Not in so many words,” Hunter admitted. He knew the youngest Blight had history with Willow, he knew she knew her better than maybe he ever could. He had to entertain the possibility that she was right about him. “But the evidence… is pretty compelling.”
“I see,” Willow said softly.
After all this time, after everything that’s happened… she still thinks I’m weak. She thinks I’m foolish, that I can’t handle getting hurt. I can’t make my own choices. She thinks she knows better. She doesn’t see that she’s being a total hypocrite. After everything I’ve done to support her and Luz despite how uncomfortable it made me, despite how it stung, despite how I’m still not sure if Amity would work as hard as Hunter had to come back into my life had Luz not landed on the Isles. But once again, what does it matter what I want? Had Amity been behind everyone keeping Hunter from her? Why had they not tried harder to help him?
Because once again, Amity is deciding who can and can’t be in my life.
“So… I want you to decide,” he said. “And I’ll accept whatever decision you make, good and or indifferent. I’ll tell you whatever you want or know and if you decide your life is better without me… I won’t intervene. I just… I had to try. I at least wanted to see you one last time.”
Willow’s eyes darted back up to him, this boy so certain and uncertain at the same time. He was willing to fight for her, he trusted her, he knew her.
He wanted her.
Maybe it was stupid and soon and impulsive and reckless but when his waiting eyes called out to her, they drew her in with such a force that even the Titan themself could not hold her back. The next thing she knew, Hunter’s face was squished between her hands, his ears wiggling and his face crimson as Willow committed the expression to memory and took one final breath before pressing her lips to his. He quickly melted into the contact, somehow knowing to place his hand on her cheek as he pulled her closer to make sure this was real, that she was finally real again. As she felt his lips form a timid smile, Willow knew the sensation was new but the excitement was undoubtedly familiar.

hi ! i’m writing my first fic right now and i feel like it’s not going anywhere. do you have any general writing tips that you think would be helpful, like at all (i’m really struggling) i’ve written multiple narratives before but nothing like this and it feels Daunting. thank you =3 !!
well if it isn’t my favorite rocket-raccoon-presentation-creator! ♡♡ thank you for trusting me with this question little sunbeam. I will do my best to answer well & do the question justice
before i get started i wanna make a few things clear.
writing fanfiction should be fun.
it should be fun. the end. if it’s not fun, it’s either not the right fanfic or it’s not the right time, and it’s okay to put it aside and come back to it later. it’s also okay to put it aside and come back to it never. fanfiction should never be a chore. you don’t need to complete every fanfic you start, and none of them need to be perfect. fanfiction is just a place for you to play, experiment, find catharsis, fantasize, or connect with a community. it’s not a thing you need to produce for a grade or a paycheck or to prove your worth. it is only here for you to love.
also, i tend to shy away from giving “advice” because everyone’s writing process is so unique and what we create is so singular and comes from such personal places inside each of us. you are the best expert of your own habits and needs! but i can tell you what i do when i get stuck in a rut, and you can decide if you want to try something like it. maybe my strategies can give you some ideas of something that will work for you ♡
Daydream. it’s actually really hard to daydream these days, you know? i swear it’s so tempting to always have a screen in front of my eyes or a podcaster or show blaring in my ears. when i get stuck in a narrative, i try to do something that allows me to daydream. for me, this might mean standing in the shower or going for a walk or sitting on my apartment balcony in the rain (best of both worlds tbh) but one rule i have for myself is no words allowed. no reading, no podcasts, not even lyrics to my music because i’ll want to sing along. just me and my thoughts, which i am focusing on how my characters are reacting to whatever is happening in the story. ~
Map. for me it’s really important to know where my story is going. i have to know the end before i can really commit to writing anything in order. i also map my chapters. what themes am i hoping to tackle? what emotions am i trying to evoke? knowing where i’m going and what i’m trying to do along the way gives me motivation and inspiration. ~
Fuck it up. whether it’s a part of a longer piece, or the whole damn narrative — if i get stuck, i try to write from a different perspective or a different point in time, or ask myself whether the narrative really is what i think it is. one of my favorite (old, non-rocket) oneshots from my first life in fanfiction was driving me crazy because I couldn’t figure out how to end it — then i realized that it had already ended itself and i was trying to add more that didn’t need to be there. maybe what you think is a longform fic is actually a one-shot, or a series of one-shots. maybe it starts later than you’d realized, or ends earlier. i got stuck in a chapter of florescence and then tried to rewrite it from the perspective of an orloni and it suddenly became so much easier. i couldn’t figure out how to get rocket to ask reader to be his date in welcome to the knowhere christmas party, so i just plopped him down on a barstool and had him tell the story to reader himself. sometimes you just stare at something for so long that it stops making sense, so you gotta pick it up and shake it and let all the parts resettle. ~
Write whatever comes to mind. you don’t have to write in order, you know. If you want to write chapter 22 and you’re only on chapter 10, write chapter 22! who’s gonna stop you? you can refine it when you get to it. if you don’t end up using it, oh well. you can turn it into something new or use it elsewhere or gracefully retire it, with gratitude for it being so fun to write when you did. ~
Find another way to tell the story. sometimes when i'm stuck, i spend some time focusing on some other medium while i think about the story. this is when i work on a moodboard, or doodle a favorite scene. if you have someone you like to discuss your fandom with (or like, a beta reader), try talking to them about the part of the story you're stuck on! sometimes your brain just gets worded-out and switching over to a different creative medium helps shake things loose! ~
Take a break. you're not on a deadline. the people who love what you write will wait for it. let me again refer you to my very first point, which is that fanfiction should be fun! so go read someone whose work you admire (published or unpublished). go do some daydreaming. play a game, watch a movie. take some time off, whether it's three days or three months or three years. fanfiction isn't a job. it's only there to satisfy your own heart, and to share with people who love what you love.
i hope some of that helps, if only a little bit, little love. and i hope you are able to overcome whatever's obstructing your writing right now, and that something beautiful comes of it — even if it's not what you expected. ♡♡

Listen to Me
ethan hunt x fem!reader
summary: while on a stakeout, you get bored and test Ethan’s limits.
warnings: 18+, angst I suppose, not plot, unprotected sex, language.
wc: 815
a/n: based on this request. not sure if it called for smut, but here we are.
Tumblr media
You’re watching a target’s house with Ethan, as much as you didn’t want to be.
“I hate this,” you say, fidgeting in your seat in the van.
“It’s something we have to do,” Ethan says shortly.
“I know that,” you hiss.
You play with your straw in your fast food cup, making an awful noise as you do.
“Can you stop that?” Ethan asks.
“I need to do something, I can’t sit here doing nothing all night,” you say.
“Can you just behave for once?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You never listen to anything I say.”
“Yeah, because most of the time your ideas are risky and stupid.”
“When has an idea of mine gone south?”
“We don’t have the time to list them all.”
Ethan sighs. You stare at him while you continue to move the straw in and out of the cup.
“Seriously, y/n,” Ethan snaps. “I will do something about this if you don’t stop.”
“Yeah, what’s that?” you egg him on.
You think you hear Ethan moan.
He makes a sudden movement, and he’s straddling you, face inches away from yours.
“I can show you what happens when you don’t behave,” he says in a low voice.
“What happens when I’ve been a bad girl, Daddy?” you tease him.
Ethan doesn’t try to hide the moan that comes from him.
He quickly rids you and himself of clothing, and you don’t have time to process what happened before you’re in your panties and bra.
“Shit, Ethan,” you sigh.
Ethan palms between your legs, making you whimper.
“Bad girls get fucked so hard they can’t walk for a week,” he mutters as he kisses your neck, biting it and leaving marks as he works his way down.
“Shit,” you repeat, unable to think.
His mouth reaches your panties, and he kisses your center through the fabric.
“Please,” you beg.
Ethan looks up at you, with lust filled eyes.
You whimper and knead your own breast, biting your lip and watching Ethan.
He pulls your panties down, as well as his own boxers, revealing his hardness.
“Ethan,” you sigh.
He strokes himself before placing his tip at your entrance, swiping at it, gathering the slick that has been pooling there.
“So fucking wet,” Ethan mutters.
Ethan pushes into you, making you gasp.
“Oh my god,” you moan, arching your back.
One of Ethan’s hands covers your mouth as he starts to thrust.
You groan, closing your eyes as Ethan continues his work.
He starts going harder, pushing as far as he can go in you. You already know you’ll be sore once this is over.
Ethan pulls out and pulls you up from your seat. He spins you around and pushes you down on the seat so you’re kneeling.
“You need to start listening to me,” he growls in your ear.
You nod.
He pushes back into you.
“Ethan,” you cry out.
“What did you call me?”
“Daddy,” you correct yourself.
Ethan moans, going faster now.
“Shit, baby, you feel so good,” Ethan says, resting his forehead on your back.
“I’m… gonna come,” you stutter.
“You wait,” Ethan says, spanking your ass, making you yelp.
“I’ll be good,” you say.
“You’ll come when I tell you to come,” Ethan tells you.
“I don’t think I can wait any longer,” you whine.
“You want to be a good girl, don’t you?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
Ethan thrusts into you even harder.
“Shit,” he mumbles. “Okay baby, come for me. Come all over my cock.”
You do as you’re told, finally finding release. You grip the back of the chair and cry out as you do.
Ethan soon follows, filling you with his seed.
“Fuck,” Ethan mumbles.
You sigh, hanging your head. “Shit.”
Ethan pulls out from you, and his cum drips down your legs.
“Fuck,” Ethan repeats, taking a finger and wiping up some cum from a leg.
“Here,” he says, reaching around to you.
You take his finger in your mouth and suck the cum off of it.
“Good girl,” he growls, kneading your ass with his other hand.
You turn around in your seat, sitting on your legs.
“So, uh, what are we going to do with what just happened?” you ask him.
“I… didn’t think it through,” Ethan sheepishly says.
You laugh. “What an Ethan move.”
“But you do need to listen to me.”
“I don’t think I will, if that’s my punishment,” you smirk.
“Shit, y/n,” Ethan says, closing his eyes. “Stop talking like that.”
“No,” you smile. You lean over and gently kiss Ethan.
“I think we better refocus on the mission,” he whispers.
“It’ll be hard to focus after this,” you say.
Ethan chuckles. “I know you can do it.”
“I guess I’ll behave too, at least for the rest of the night, and start fresh tomorrow,” you tease.
Ethan smiles. “Wouldn’t want it any other way.”

The Stupid Closet (24)*
Tumblr media
Happy Sunday release day everyone! Reminder: chapters marked with * will contain NSFW content!
Enjoy! :)
-----------
“Hey baby” you feel mattheo touch your shoulders behind you.
You put your pencil down and look behind you. You were sitting at a desk in the common room, working on some homework.
“Hi babe” you peck him on the lips.
“Wanna take a break? I have something I wanna show you…” he says, signaling you to get up.
You look back at your paper, you weren’t getting anywhere at the moment, “sure” you smile.
“Go put a jacket on” he pushes you lightly up the stairs to your dorm, waiting.
When you come back down, you put your jacket on, “where’re we going?” You ask.
“You'll see” he leads you outside to the bell tower, when you see what it is.
“It’s snowing!” You say excitedly. The first snowfall of the year. You turn around to face Mattheo to see him smiling so wide while making a snowball about 20 feet behind you.
Before he can throw it, you’re making one in retaliation. You make yours quickly, throwing it at the same time he throws his, you both miss each other.
His mouth opens wide in disbelief as if he couldn’t process that you threw one back at him. You make another snowball while he’s distracted and throw it quickly, hitting his chest.
“Oh you’re so dead” he says before you take off running, screaming playfully. It was freezing out and snowflakes were falling faster by the minute but with you two, it didn’t even matter.
You reach the open grounds, nowhere to go, as you look around for somewhere to hide, Mattheo runs up behind you and hugs you from behind, stumbling you both to the ground together.
You both can’t seem to catch your breaths, laughing hysterically. You close your eyes, laughing harder than you have in a long time until you feel Mattheo tuck some hair behind your ear.
You open your eyes to see him smiling, watching you with those big doe eyes you love so much.
“What?” You ask.
“Nothing.” He states simply.
“No seriously! Tell me!” You were both still lying on the ground and you didn’t even notice.
“I want to stay out here with you forever” he admits, still smiling as wide as ever.
You smile back, “it’s nice to see you smile so much these days”
Mattheo instantly gets sheepish, nuzzling his head into you like he’s hiding.
You giggle, playing with his curls, “I mean it”
He looks up and kisses you slowly as he wraps his arms around you and flips so you’re on top of him.
The kiss is slow and sensual and starts heating up quickly before you back away, “alright my cheeky man, let’s not get expelled for public nudity, yeah?”
“If you insist” he smirks, rolling his eyes, as you climb off of him and stand up with him following suit.
You stand there for a second, admiring the snow falling all around you.
“I love the snow” Mattheo says as he wraps his arms around your waist, placing your hands lightly on his chest.
“Oh yeah?” You ask looking up to him.
“Whenever it snowed, I would go outside to get away from my parents…it was like my own escape” he quietly admits. You know he doesn’t like to talk about his family or his childhood so it meant a lot that he told you.
“I get that.” You smile softly, “I promise I’ll always play in the snow with you”
Mattheo holds your chin, rubbing his thumb on it while trying to hide his smile, “I’m gonna go have a smoke, wanna join?”
“I was doing homework, remember? I should get back to it…”
Mattheo’s nods slowly, “alright fine, see you before dinner?”
“Sure” you peck him on the lips before walking your separate ways.
You get back to the desk you were at previously, not ready to sink back into your homework when Theo walks up.
“Hey” he says quietly.
He stands beside you, “hi Theo, what’s up?”
“Can we talk?” He asks.
“Sure” you move your book over as he sits down on the edge of the desk.
“We haven’t really gotten to talk since…everything happened and I just really need to get this off my chest”
“Okay sure, what is it?” You had no idea what it could be but you wanted to be there to listen. You missed your Theo. The old Theo you had known.
“I miss you.” He starts over, “I mean I miss you in my life. Girlfriend or not, I just miss talking to you. We were good friends before last year.”
“We were good friends.” You contemplate, “Theo, I’m sorry I let it go too far.”
“It’s ok. I should’ve stopped it too.” Theo admits.
“I still know that it’s my fault. You were great, you deserved so much better than me” you mention, shrugging.
“I can’t do better than you, nobody can. Can I be honest?”
“Sure” you state, your curiosity peaking.
“I slept with this girl a couple days ago and…it was terrible. It was my first time since you and I just- god it made me miss you”
You look at him for a second before replying, “Theo, you were great, you know that right?”
Theo doesn’t respond but instead just waits for you to continue, “I hope you know that it was never the sex. The sex was great, you were great…Mattheo just happened”
“Right person, wrong time maybe?” Theo asks.
“Something like that yeah” you laugh lightly. You were so glad that Theo and you could talk about this stuff normally now.
“Right well…a lost cause now I guess” Theo scratches the back of his head before standing up.
“Hey uhm-“ you grab his arm before he can walk away, “wanna study together sometime?”
He smiles before nodding, “sure” you reciprocate the smile before he pecks you on the cheek and walks away.
There was never any doubt that Theo was charming, he had such a way with you and that had not changed with Mattheo in your life obviously. The man was Italian so it made sense but you kept thinking about how that conversation felt like it used to…before this year.
Right as you finish your assignment, Mattheo comes to take you to dinner in the great hall. Everyone was there, gossiping about the other houses and their classes…typical behavior for the group.
Afterwards, you and Mattheo head back to your dorm since Pansy was heading to Draco’s…not that anything was going to happen with them.
After you get in and lock the door behind you, Mattheo places his hands on your hips, raising them slowly up to your breasts as the kiss deepens, slow and sensual.
“I love you” Mattheo breathes out as he pulls your shirt over your head and unclasps your bra with one hand before it drops to the floor.
“I love you too” you whisper back as he takes your breast in his mouth. You let out a moan as he plays with your nipples for a minute before he backs away and unbuckles his pants quickly, dropping them with ease.
You do the same, dropping both your pants and underwear without a second thought. Once the clothes are off, you hop up onto him, wrapping your legs around his waist.
He lines himself up with your entrance before pumping in and out, your back up against the wall.
“Holy shit Mattheo” your mouth stays agape, your head thrown back.
His hands are gripped on your thighs, holding you up. You reach around for anything to grab, the only thing being a couple bags hung on a hook. In the process of reaching around, the bags drop but neither of you care.
He starts picking up his pace as you claw your nails into his neck and shoulder blades.
“always so tight for me” he breathes out, sweat dripping down his forehead.
“I’m almost there “ you mutter out, opening your eyes to watch him
Only a few pumps in and out later, you reach your high, breathing heavily as Mattheo finishes right after you.
After he’s done, he lets you jump back down to the floor.
“Still as good as ever” he says, slapping your ass as you walk in the bathroom.
You stick your tongue out at him before shutting the door to get cleaned up. He was right…in fact? It was just getting better and better.

Chapter 16: Springs Eternal
When you wake up there’s a heavy blanket over you, your injured arm placed carefully on top of it. Haruta is sitting nearby and smiles when your eyes open.
“You’ve got a good ten minutes still, if you want to doze more.” He explains. “I’m just here to make sure your fingers didn’t turn colors while you napped.”
You sniff and the smell of food alone wakes you up more. “Where’s Thatch?” Your tone isn’t nervous, you’re pretty sure he’s cooking, but you’re surprised he wasn’t beside you when you woke.
“Cooking like a man possessed.” Haruta answers. “I think… well, I don’t want to put words into his feelings, but whenever he was struggling with his emotions as a kid he’d start cooking. Good ones or bad ones, cooking helps him stay calm.”
“He must be tired.” You murmur, wiping your eyes clear of the heavy sleep that took you, and sitting up slowly. Haruta moves to help, but only ends up hovering while you sort it out well enough with one arm.
“Thatch? Nah, he’d need to be awake at least two more days before he’d really start feeling it.” Haruta takes the blanket for you, folding it up and setting it aside. “Pops used to tease that he kept snacks in his hair to help keep him going.”
The idea of Thatch pulling trail mix out of his pompadour makes you giggle.
“Oh - ah, hey, dinner’s almost ready, yoi.” Marco says, stepping into the living room. He smiles as he turns back toward the kitchen. “Thatchie boy, your girl’s smiling!”
There’s a bit of a commotion that follows Marco’s declaration, and you aren’t entirely sure what just happened. Haruta offers you help in getting out of the massive chair, and the laughter you can hear from the kitchen sounds like the commotion wasn’t bad, at the least.
Haruta makes sure you’re steady on your feet and then escorts you into the dining room. There’s pots and platters set along the inside of the table, and place settings at each chair. Haruta shoos Marco away and pulls out your chair instead, bowing a little once he scoots you into place.
“Enjoy your meal, madam,” he offers with a wink, before moving a few chairs down and seating himself.
Izou and Marco sat across from you, and Thatch sat at your left, and on your right was Edward Newgate, at the head of the table. There were three new faces you didn’t remember before and introductions were brief, but you got the names of Jozu, Vista and Curiel before everything begins.
Platters, plates, bowls, pots, and glasses are moved around the table as everyone passes stuff around. Newgate and Thatch keep reaching over you, so you don’t have to try and hold the heavy platters, and Thatch asks if you want something before putting some on your plate and then serving himself. The process repeats almost a dozen times while all the options are passed around.
With a little help from Thatch you get some butter and gravy to go with your choices, and end up with three glasses of water at some point.
“You’re going to drown the poor thing,” Vista says, “give me one of those glasses, I don’t have one.”
“Look just one firecracker shrimp-.” Marco starts.
“Absolutely not,” Thatch snaps, swatting Marco’s hand with a wooden spoon that has mashed potatoes on it. “We still haven’t talked preferences and I made that with Jozu in mind.”
There’s a brief pause at the table and Haruta gives his shrimp to Izou. Marco gets up and comes back with a small plate of pineapple slices, putting the spicy shrimp between them before returning to something else.
“That’s not gonna save you,” Jozu teases, breathing out in satisfaction after eating a shrimp.
“It’ll make the suffering tastier, yoi.” Marco quips and the others laugh.
The idle chatter dies down as everyone begins eating in earnest. The clink of cutlery against the plates is broken up by the occasional grunt of satisfaction from Jozu regarding the spicy shrimp. You could probably shovel the food into your mouth and no one would notice, since most everyone was focused on their own plate.
“S’only time some of these guys shut up.” Thatch muses, looking over at you with a smile. “Half the reason I took up cooking was for some peace.”
“The other half was cause you’re a picky bastard,” Curiel adds and the others grunt. “Thank the seas too, cause tryin’ to choke down the crap Fossa called curry was gettin’ harder by the day.”
“At least he didn’t set the galley on fire.” Vista grumbles and Izou almost chokes on his food.
“Who did that?” You question automatically.
“Vista.” Marco answers and everyone breaks into laughter.
“Glad you’re enjoying the meal, Miss Kakusho,” Newgate says, the soft baritone still rumbling over everyone else with ease.
“Indeed, this may be the best meal I’ve ever had.” You admit cheerfully. “I never knew dinner could be like this.”
“Like… noisy?” Jozu asks. “Ow, dammit, who kicked me?!” He grumbles, looking under the table as Haruta sits back up in his chair.
“Mm, that certainly,” you admit. “It’s like a holiday feast, but it’s just a normal dinner.”
“Ah. With only three people you weren’t making big platters of food for every meal.” Izou hums.
“Wait until the holidays come around this year,” Haruta says, leaning forward to catch your attention before he smiles. “We set up tables out in the courtyard because there’s so many people. Thatch starts prep two days in advance, and the kitchens in the other wings are fired up just to keep up.”
Your eyes go wide at the idea of it. “How many people…”
“Almost two thousand.” Newgate answers. You’re glad you weren’t eating or drinking anything, you think you would’ve choked.
“Pops adopted four hundred and six kids over the last forty years or so, yoi.” Marco explains. “Some of them have adopted kids, most of ‘em have married and had kids.”
“The count just goes up and up.” Curiel says. “Ah, speaking of, we’re expecting again.”
The explosion of congratulations get so loud your ears ring a little and you wince against the sudden sound. It doesn’t last too long, and you’re sure what you witnessed was the true scale of just how loud this family can get.
No wonder Pops could bellow the way he had.
The energy of the dinner stays mellow after that outburst, and once the meal was done, everyone but Thatch and Newgate went about the business of clearing the table and cleaning up. You started to move to help, but Thatch moved your plate away with one hand and put another on your shoulder.
“Injury aside, you’d be crushed.” He says, patting your shoulder gently. “Let’s go to the tea room. The others will join us soon enough.”
You, Thatch, and his father head out of the dining room and head down the hall. The three of you barely get seated when Izou comes in with tea, and shortly after him the others come in. You’re seated between Thatch and Newgate, with Izou and Marco across from you again. Haruta, Curiel, Vista and Jozu come in and settle in a moment later.
The smaller chairs and more intimate setting have you feeling nervous before Pops even begins speaking.
“What I have to say, Miss Kakusho, will be unpleasant, but you deserve to know the truth of things.” Newgate clears his throat and sighs. “I don’t know exactly what this plan is that your parents have been working on for so long, but what I do know is that when they brought you here to meet my son they offered me a proposition.”
The look of disgust that finds its way to his face, despite his obvious efforts, is enough for you to turn to Thatch. You put your hand in his, and he wraps his fingers around it just enough to let you know he’s there.
“They suggested that I utilize the connections of my company to secretly sell you off.”
Your mind stutters.
One of Pops’ sons swears, but you aren’t sure who. Thatch’s fingers twitch, but he doesn’t grip your hand any tighter than before.
After a moment your brow furrows and you shake your head. “That… doesn’t make sense.” You start to speak, stopping again and searching for the words you needed. No one interrupted you and you eventually found what you were looking for. “I owe them money,” you say, looking up to Edward Newgate. “Not you. My parents’ plan was so they could get what they were owed from me. Not to make someone else money. I’m confused.”
“You owe them?” Thatch asks, sounding just as confused as you feel.
You nod, but then turn back to Newgate. “I believe you. I’m not saying you’re lying, but it doesn’t make sense.”
“Did you borrow money from them?” Izou asks, his tone less confused than Thatch’s.
“N-no, I… I’m…” You swallow thickly, but before Thatch can tell you that you don’t have to say anything the words come out before you stop them.
“I’m useless.”
The silence that follows feels damning. They gazes centered on you were heavy, you couldn’t bring yourself to face any of them. They’ve been so nice they don’t want to agree with it, so they’re not saying anything. Trying to smile you continue.
“I-I was. I was, but my parents did so much for me, and it was - I mean, it was a lot, and they g-gave their whole lives to making sure I was worth, you know, enough.” Your stammering words quiet as shame rushes into your face. It’s everything you have to keep the tears locked in.
“I owe them.” You assert in a tiny voice. “It… it takes a lot to make a decent daughter.”
There’s a long silence. Your gaze is in your lap. You want to pull your hand out of Thatch’s, but you don’t want him to leave your side either. You can’t shake the feeling that you’ve somehow managed to let everyone down all at once.
The sound of shattering porcelain makes you, and most of the table, jump.
“I’ll get towels.” Haruta says, darting out of the room.
“Don’t move, Thatch.” Vista says. “Let me get the pieces so you don’t cut your hand worse.”
“Worse?!” You look up at Thatch, who is only looking down and giving you a reassuring smile.
“It’s okay doll,” he says evenly. “It’s not the first teacup I’ve broken.”
“You’re… angry.” You start to phrase it as a question, but settle on the word as a statement. Thatch’s hand around yours twitches, but he doesn’t pull it away. A gruff sigh escapes him but he gives you an apologetic look as he nods.
“Not at you.” He clarifies.
“What a terrible set of parents.” Marco grumbles.
“The more I hear of them, the more I regret every act of civility toward them.” Izou adds.
“I’m, I’m-.”
“Don’t.” Izou snaps icily, interrupting you sharply. His gaze stills you more than the word, and there’s authority in it that you can almost feel gripping your face. “Do not apologize for your parents. Unless they grovel on the ground like the vapid troglodytes they are, and beg your forgiveness, they do not deserve the sincerity of your apology.”
The cold silence in the air doesn’t feel as heavy as you think it should, but Thatch’s words from earlier ring in your mind.
“Oi, Izou, don’t intimidate the poor girl.” Jozu scolds. Izou only scoffs, returning to his tea.
“Thatch… said the same thing.” You murmur and Izou’s irritated expression breaks into incredulous disbelief.
“Haah?” The noise he makes is as close to undignified as you think Izou would ever allow to pass his lips. He’s looking over at Thatch, who is looking down at you.
“I didn’t go sayin’ all of that.” He insists. “I just said your parents ain’t worth you apologizing for them.”
Marco snorts a laugh, looking away from Izou and covering his face as he tries not to laugh openly.
“You two really are on the same page more than either of you care to admit.” Curiel points out and it’s all it takes for Marco to finally crack, head down in his arms laughing.
Izou raises a hand, but Newgate clears his throat and he stops from smacking his brother.
“Forgive them, miss Kakusho.” He says and you shake your head.
“No, it’s alright. I… I appreciate it.”
“Mm, if it is as you say, however, that does not leave us in the best place.” Newgate pulls the conversation back on topic, concern furrowing his brows. “If your parents’ focus was on profiting from your existence, then their initial proposition doesn’t make sense.”
“Unless they were going to discuss a finder’s fee after.” Haruta offers, nose crinkled in disgust at the idea.
“Or it could’ve been a false opener.” Jozu suggests.
“Yes, but they would have to have expected father to agree.” Izou adds.
“That,” you begin, pressing your lips together. “Would fit.”
“Really?” Marco questions, looking up.
You nod. “My parents feel that everyone is… er… that everyone shares their aspirations. That everyone is out to make a profit, no matter the cost.”
Everyone at the table makes a face. The synchronized disgust is almost comical.
“Well, the only…” Haruta grimaces, closing his eyes before continuing. “The only commodity they believed they possessed was you, Miss.” He looks between his brothers and father. “The NWO’s visit tonight is proof they’re still set on attempting to turn a profit. Which means she’s in a precarious position.”
“We could learn more if we play along.” Izou admits. “The whole push to get them both out of Thatch’s apartment.”
“Do you think petty theft of Thatch’s stuff is going to be what they’re after?” Marco questions, and Izou shrugs.
“That’s the problem, isn’t it?”
“There’s also the concern of who is helping them.” Newgate says. “And why.”
“Helping them?” Vista questions. “Why do we think they’re getting help?”
Thatch’s free hand clenches, and the table goes silent. It only takes a moment for you to realize what the cause of the heavy feeling is.
“Because…,” you begin. “My parents messed with the Match Program.”
“Eh?” Curiel’s jaw goes slack.
“Whether they did or not,” Pops says, putting a hand up toward you and Thatch. “There’s no doubt you two are compatible. But that is something we have to consider, however we decide to handle this. Before you two are married a Rematch is possible, and if the NWO declares the match invalid during that time, it could also cause issues.”
Newgate reaches over, putting a massive hand over yours. He might only be a little taller than Thatch, but he seems larger than life right now. There’s a twinkle in his deep blue eyes that feels both like reassurance and rebelliousness.
“We will not abandon you. Even if circumstances complicate things, your home is here if you wish it.” He promises you.
The warmth. The genuine tone. The expression on his face. There’s no room for doubt. There’s no place for your parents’ words to weave between this man’s declaration and your own apprehension. The emotion that swells in your chest, the feeling that floods into your eyes, is something you don’t know that you’ve felt before.
This small, tender feeling shivers in its own new, fragile existence, but it is infinitely warm.
Before you can even say thank you, six brothers are holding out handkerchiefs for you. It’s not a sob that breaks you, but a small laugh that’s rushed from your lungs by the alien feeling behind it. Accepting the cloth from Thatch you carefully mop the tears from your eyes, taking a few moments to hide behind the cotton square.
It might be small and fragile, but for the first time in your life, you had hope.

Hi Jade! I’ve had this idea stuck in my head for a while now - could you do some head cannons about the main trio being incubus’s (a creature who basically resembles a male and feeds off having sex while the victim is asleep) and meeting the reader and feeding off them but slowly falling in love with the reader? Thanks!

⧽ Let’s start with the nicest of the bunch, unlike the others on this list. Izuku doesn’t really strike you unless you really need it.
⧽ Between work/school, you were running on desperate times there.
⧽ Your toys weren’t cutting it, and you were too scared to try Tinder or sex websites because you don’t want to end up as a missing person or a dead body in a ditch.
⧽ But the stress of life was getting to you. Rent due, Car due, Gas and Water due and you’re doing long ass hours only to have your shit gone before you could even try to enjoy.
⧽ You’ve done the relationships, all ending badly and you didn’t want to ignite the flames of the ex back into your life.
⧽ So, after an upsetting masturbating session, your little helper was placed back in the third drawer of your side table.
⧽ With an upsetting sigh, you closed your eyes and started to drift off to dreamland.
⧽ You appeared to be in a…rather revealing position when you did. Your legs were over your head, tied together.
⧽ Your eyes were confused, unsure of how in the hell you ended up like this! You wanted to have a simple dream! Hell, that candy one was satisfying for the night!
⧽ That’s when you felt a warm sensation on you.
⧽ Your body shuttered at the feeling and you tried to move your legs to see who the hell was licking the palace without consent!
⧽ The tongue slithered up and down on your slit, slipping inside you. Your toes curled, pleasure rushing through your body with the intensifying sensation driving you wild.
⧽ Your mouth opened wide, your hips grinding against the sensation.
⧽ “Desperation, Lust, Desire…” A voice said, sitting up and lowering his legs.
⧽ His large, green tail curled while your body laid limb, the urge for more was radiating off your body.
⧽ Your eyes wandered to the being above you, his large freckled body laced with a few scars, his bold green skin.
⧽ His large hands gripped your thighs, pushing them back further so he could have more access. You started to move a bit because LIKE ANY SANE PERSON, WHO OR WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS DANMN THIS IS, AND WHY IS IT EATING YOU OUT LIKE A DAMN PRO?!
⧽ “Calm your nerves…and relax, you’re making this hard.” The voice ordered, sending chills down your spine. That’s when their tongue slipped in deeper and your back arched.
⧽ Was it bad that you sat there and just took it? Maybe.
⧽ Was it good when you came like a fuckin hose that had thousands of kinks in it?
⧽ Hell MOTHERFUCKIN Yeah!
⧽ You awoke that morning with a confused look, unsure of how you made such..a mess in your poor bed.
⧽ That was only the beginning.
⧽ The next night, it happened again. The green beast appeared and you finally saw his face.
⧽ Large dark green eyes and freckles on his cheeks, it’s all you could focus on.
⧽ Even when he was inside you, sucking the sexual energy out of you.
⧽ Each deep thrust he gave you simply overwhelmed your needy, simply desperate body.
⧽ He was something you desired, you craved. You needed.
⧽ After a week of this, you simply ask for his name while you two were fucking from the side. You turned your head to look at him while he held your leg high in the air.
⧽ “I-I-Izuku..” he whispers in your ear, before biting it and thrusting faster.
⧽ And that’s where it began.
⧽ Izuku began your little helper after long days and terrible dates. He’d make your little dreams better. He fucks your little brains out and leaves completely satisfied.
⧽ He’s a sweet, kind, and caring demon too. He loves altering your dreams to accommodate your desires.
⧽ He’s honestly one the nicest demons out of the entire bunch until things start to sour between you two.
⧽ It’s kind of hard to only have someone appear in your dreams…and when work gets tough, you’re not able to drift to sleep fully.
⧽ So the next time you do finally rest, he’s not there. Your green Prince wasn’t there anymore.
⧽ But don’t worry, your job receives an exchange worker who transfers from another country…
⧽ And he’s suspiciously named Izuku too~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⧽ Remember being a kid and your parents would tell you that you should be careful of what you wish for?
⧽ See, we don’t always think about shit that we say? You obviously didn’t when you supposedly summoned a damn demon on yourself.
⧽ If you had been to a slumber party and played Bloody Mary or with the Ouija Board then you’d know how.
⧽ It wasn’t like your life sucked really.
⧽ You had the perfect job, car, life, and even significant other. Everything was peachy….except when it came to the sex.
⧽ That…massively lacked. Baby boy didn’t know how to…ya know, get you there.
⧽ So, often you faked it which is honestly kinda disrespecting because you’re over here with blue balls and another sad night where he’s knocked out and you’re accepting sleep while reading about other characters on A03 who’s getting better dick than you.
⧽ The second you’re asleep though, you’re opening your eyes inside your bedroom…but alone?
⧽ Your beloved was gone but something else was there.
⧽ Before you could even get out of bed, a tail was pulling you back into it. “I didn’t say you could leave, now did I?” The voice said.
⧽ It was raspy, deep….and made your panties wet instantly. It was demanding and practically had your toes curling.
⧽ Your head turned to see what it was, before you…a demon with mostly orange to red skin, blonde hair, and bold red eyes.
⧽ You couldn’t even figure out what the hell it was before your clothes started scattering all over the place.
⧽ He was rough, deep, and practically had your hands ripping the sheets.
⧽ “Right there! Right there!!” You cried out, your fingers tugging the sheets right off the bed.
⧽ You lost count of how many times you’ve come, cause you kinda forgot after one.
⧽ All you knew was when your eyes opened again, you were inside your bedroom and your lover was looking towards you confused and partially enticed.
⧽ “Were you dreaming of me? You sounded like a naughty little porn star last night~” They teased, making you blink in confusion.
⧽ The audacity of this man to fuck you IN YOUR BED IN YOUR HEAD TO MAKE YOU FEEL THAT DAMN GOOD THAT YOU MOAN OUTSIDE OF YOUR DAMN DREAM?!
⧽ You couldn’t even dare to admit to what happened in your dream? It’s a one-time thing, right?
⧽ Haha, nope. The next day, he came back.
⧽ Again. Again. And Again.
⧽ It’s so bad that your lover starts to envy your own dreams and questions what’s sex like with them and your supposed wild-ass dreams.
⧽ Your little red demon always left you shaking in his arms or on your bed.
⧽ He loved having you cry, pant, whine and simply disrespect your lover who was in the same bed as you two.
⧽ There was one session in which he made you so damn weak, your legs gave up the second you tried to stand up the next day.
⧽ Like all good things, shit hits the fan one day. You come home from work to find your lover with..another inside your bed. As expected, you’re enraged and kick them out.
⧽ You turned your phone off and head out to the club to clear your head with a few girlfriends.
⧽ While twerking your relationship away and drinking your sadness, a hand grabbed your hips and whispered in your ear.
⧽ “I’ve been watching you all fuckin night….think you can do that with me, baby?” He asked. That voice sent chills down your spine.
⧽ With a smirk on your face, you took your little spiky-haired boy towards the door.
⧽ That bed your ex-love disrespected earlier was promptly broken by that damn blonde.

⧽ Whoever said College was fuckin easy was a goddamn lie?
⧽ Whoever lied and said that it was easy, should choke on a dick and die?
⧽ You’re struggling, dragging, brunt out and still trying to function.
⧽ Clubs, Classes, Part-Time Work, and Rent were making you want to blast your damn brains out.
⧽ Mid-Terms were on the horizon and thousands were dropping from their classes already. No one didn’t want to do this shot anymore?
⧽ The true warriors were still fighting and pushing themselves toward the finish line.
⧽ Your eyes were peered into a boom inside an empty library, it was reaching midnight while the exhaustion of your job from earlier that day.
⧽ Your body demanded rest.
⧽ Your stomach was demanding food.
⧽ Hell, Your body was just deflating at this point.
⧽ Your head plopped onto the book, soft snores escaped your mouth while you drifted into deep and much-needed rest.
⧽ Your dreams were always practically darkness. A time when it was simply black because your mind was too damn tired to give your exhausted ass something to dream about.
⧽ However, this time. You wake up inside a hot tub.
⧽ Before you can even question how you’re inside a hot tub and also naked, something pressed against your body.
⧽ The vibration made your body jump and wiggle a bit, who has the infamous magic wand in there, and who’s holding it?
⧽ Your hand reached underneath the water to retrieve it, but another hand lifted your head.
⧽ “Close your eyes and relax…you’re not allowed to touch.” The voice ordered. It was a cold, stern, and simply sexy ass voice.
⧽ Who are you to disobey rules? Especially since you hadn’t had this much sexual pleasure in a while?
⧽ Your breathing hitched, and your toes curled before your body was lifted.
⧽ That’s when you felt the Arctic cold which caused your nipples to stick out.
⧽ That was before he slipped inside WITH EASE. The intense combo of hot and cold was overstimulating your body.
⧽ You were already needy as hell, but shit! You’re sucking..whatever this thing in with each thrust he gave you. Your hips even started moving on their own, rocking back and forth.
⧽ Your eyes opened for a second, looking to see such an odd figure.
⧽ Large red hands hugged and held your body. The left was on your hip and the right was loosely holding your face.
⧽ You couldn’t even focus on what it was…when your body was jolted awake.
⧽ Your eyes opened and you sat back, seeing a worried elderly woman. “Are you okay? You were moaning over here in your sleep…” she asked as she looked at you.
⧽ Your heart dropped to your feet as worry washed over you. SHE HEARD YOU RIDING ON….WHATEVER THAT WAS?! You didn’t even respond to the woman, you pack your items and head to your car.
⧽ You head home, get in your bed, and tried to justify what happened as a lack of sleep and simply being horny for some reason.
⧽ ONLY TO WAKE UP INTO THE DREAM WITH SAID DEMON GOING HARDER THAN HE WAS BEFORE YOU WERE WOKEN UP.
⧽ And that’s how it started.
⧽ You went from studying at the library to forcing yourself to stay home, because your big ass demon didn’t give a fuck. Fall asleep and your ass was his.
⧽ Crash in class, boom. You’re moaning inside the classroom.
⧽ Crash during your break? You sound like a porn star inside the break room with your uncomfortable co-workers.
⧽ Your bed was your safety and practicality a sanctuary. No one could hear how loud you were and what he was using on you.
⧽ Sho, which was the name of said, Incubus. You found out while on a sex swing, handcuffed. You cried out shit, and he corrected you with Sho…before proceeding to make you scream his name.
⧽ He always created a room that included his usual elements, Hot and Cold.
⧽ Little did you know, he was helping you get exactly what you needed to focus.
⧽ He worked his magic on you until after the midterms. Once you turn your test in, could you simply rest without a single issue?
⧽ Poof, he’s gone. Your dreams are simply dead and you’re left pretty upset.
⧽ Things go back to normal, leaving you sad. You walked into the library, holding your books and things while listening to music.
⧽ You walked towards your usual study area, which was reserved for you because no one really deserved it.
⧽ You opened the door and walked inside, only to freeze at the sight of a man with..red and white hair. He looked at you confused while you blinked.
⧽ “Oh! Sorry! I didn’t mean to! I-I can come back!” You stammer, embarrassed, and start to turn around.
⧽ “No, no….Why don’t you come in and join me?..” the voice said, standing up and walking towards you. “Just close your eyes and relax~” he whispered, pulling you close.
⧽ It's funny how dreams can become a reality.
