you’ll genuinely have to pry “where’d his game go?” out of my cold dead hands. we might have never seen it, but it has always been true in my heart of hearts that junpei talks to shinji for love advice and other general brotherly antics. for shinji to express such genuine disappointment in junpei just tells me all i need to know.

i just know junpei is blowing up shinji’s phone fr and their relationship started out w shinji being like “don’t text me” but junpei persevered and he gained an older brother through it. good for him. seriously good for him.

+ it will always be so true to me that junpei would help shinji open up in ways he normally wouldn’t. helping him to be vulnerable in a way that akihiko or mitsuru wouldn’t quite be able to crack despite their time together, only because even they could not be as silly or humorous as one junpei iori. he will get anybody out of their shell and i’ll stand by that forever. junpei you are so special…

Thinking about how Iker appeared in Sergio’s docuseries rn, and just how much (well-deserved) praise he heaped on his former co-capi in the little time he had on-screen.

I mean, Iker called Sese “a wall” (in reference to his defending), and stated that having Sergio in your team “gives you a 100% guarantee.”

He said “he [Sergio] has a lot of guts. He doesn’t hide, even if he fails.”

He lauded Sergio’s early years at Real Madrid as well, pointing out 2006/2007 in particular: “I think he had an outstanding season.”

In the last episode of the series, Iker went so far as to describe Sergio as “a vital person for football”. Bae really spared no expense

Keep in mind, Iker only appeared in like 3 of the 6 episodes of season 2 for pretty much less than 30 seconds each. But boy did he make good use of his time! Forever sticking up for his man 🥹

im still thinking about kenjaku playing the role of loving wife and mother until yuuji was at least a newborn. even if they genuinely have no care for yuuji (there’s at least an investment in his potential), I want to know more about how that went and if this is the first time kenjaku tried something like that
