Splatoon “hyperfixation” week

Sketches and unfinished drawings from the past week. I’m not sure I even want to post these but enhhhh. How do people draw with anything other than a crunchy brush? Crunchy brush hides mistakes, and when resizing, also kind of hides that it’s been resized, unlike smooth pens. Man, I wanna draw so much but drawing is hard. So much I want to draw. So little time/and or motivation when I do bad draw.

I don’t remember if I said this somewhere, tags or alt descriptions ,(I hope those were okay btw) but the Inklings name is Jenny and I use her while playing Splatoon 2. The other guy came out of a Picrew while trying to mess with sona ideas. Skin tones were whack, but I think the dark blue-purple skin looks kind of cool despite that. probably will change that though. I finally beat splatoon 2 story mode and I’m very excited to get the third and I want to play in at least one splatfest before I die, so I hope I get it before they stop updating. I’m always late to every game and it’s hype, man,,, Splatoon four will come out and I’ll get my hands on it like 2 years later.

3 ships: How about... Mia/Moreau from Resident Evil Village... Emmet/Johanna from Pokemon... And... (former) Wheeljack/Shockwave from Transformers Cyberverse lol I like a lot of ships. And I know. I’m disappointed that two of these are straight too. But Mia/Moreau is my weird little monsterfucker ship that I and only I enjoy from the RE8 fandom, and I’ve been working on something for my Coordinator!Emmet AU which would eventually (probably) end with Emmet and Johanna getting platonically married to meme on Ingo and for tax benefits lol. Wheeljack/Shockwave is here because I’ve recently been watching Transformers: Cyberverse and Wheeljack and Shockwave are TOTALLY exes and I love it! Shockwave’s probably my favorite character in Cyberverse since its version of Starscream is just... SO BAD! Cyberverse has a good version of Shockwave. Still has that classic loyalty from gen 1, while being an unethical scientist like later iterations. Also he kept his severed hand around and programmed it to float around and do stuff for him, and I find that HILARIOUS! Cyberverse Shockwave is a good iteration of him! Even though his vibes are RANCID lol. Oh, but as a bonus to the person who tagged me, @penquinlori​ and I have talked A LOT about Bernadette Beneviento/Salvatore Moreau as an idea. Basically the idea was that Sal was engaged to Bernadette (Donna’s aunt) some time before he started undergoing the cadou experiments. At some point Miranda took Bernadette for experiments and she died. Sal was away from the village at the time and so was never really made privy to what happened to his fiance. Sal’s brother Mihai may have also been involved in all of this too. It’s all very heartbreaking and I love it. >:3c And we’ve both been working on fic that features this relationship. :p

1st ever ship: I think it must’ve been... Naruto/Hinata from Naruto...? Because that was the first fandom that I like... REALLY got into...? Yeah, boring, I know. Like maybe I shipped May/Ash from Pokemon before that? Hard to say. But I remember shipping Naruto/Hinata pretty hard when I was a kid. Though I did have an OC that I made to be with Gaara lol

last song: If we’re not counting the theme song from the Ghost and Molly McGee or the music from Encanto... According to Spotify the last song I listened to was Smoke Damage by Hi I’m Case. currently reading: Uhhhhhh... I’m REAL bad about reading things. I’m a very slow reader and can mostly only focus on like... Manga... (Which I’ll read a volume in one sitting) so the best I can come up with is like... Metro 2033...? Which I haven’t gotten around to reading in like... Over a year... >.< I guess you can maybe count The Promised Neverland too. I like reading that one when I go to the library.

Hey so I’m gonna share my ideas for some ocs, because I found your account through the Star Trek oc tag and I like your art and stuff!. Anyways most of this was made up on the spot sorry sorry if it’s bad, but hope you like these lol.

Okay so basically it’s this friend group who go together at starfleet academy and they consist of a human, a ferengi, a Klingon, a Vulcan and a betazoid, and all of them are really into learning about other cultures. (Excuse to make ocs where all of them share their love of other cultures, because I wish I could like study all the different alien cultures in Star Trek <3) 

So they all meet up after they’re classes to share stuff about their own culture, or ask a question about some human expression they heard around campus? or what is Q'onoS like? Can you explain kahs-wan to me? or how do you say this in ferengi etc etc.

I have names for them and stuff, I’ll probably come up with more later but here’s what I have so far.

Came up w/ a design for BW2 Blake (or at least and idea of it) using this picrew maker:

The necklace thing is supposed to be the sword from the choker they wear in the BW arc, originally I was gonna have the choker stay BUT then I saw the lil red scarf and decided I wanted that more actually. But the sword pendant is still there of course it was a gift from Auberi after all!

They’re also gonna wear N’s hat I just forgot to put it on in the picrew. Actually idk if they even have an option that resembles N’s hat I forgot 2 look

Summary: Imagine how the now present world was imagined and awed upon by previous generations mixed with how it actually is in the present world. Industrialization, overworked employees, coorporate slaves, so many robots, cool technology, hope for a better world. Until it all decides to collapse in a way no one saw coming. Who are we going to take down to stop everything from crumbling.

Since I posted my Demon Slayer ff on ao3, let's do a chara sheet for my ocs! I'll start with her - Shirayuki Fubuki! (Mari'll wait for the next post)

Shirayuki basically means "Snow white" and Fubuki means "snowstorm/blizzard". Her male alias, Yukine, is wrote with the kanji for "snow" (yuki) and "sound" (ne)

While Hana (my dr stone oc) is a spring child, Shirayuki is a winter lady!

With picrew i can't color well her hair, but their basically a dull azure color that fades into white at the tips!

Okay, so -- she's a Hashira, the Snow Pillar! It runs in the family, kinda like the Rengoku.

Like most of the demon slayer character, she's got a tragic background. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father promised her dying wife to protect their child with his dying will. To protect Shirayuki, Yukito decides to raise her as a boy. She couldn't and shouldn't act as a girl, ever. But one day, Ranmaru, a demon who wants to kill the Fubuki demon slayers since he meet Fubuki Yukihisa, Shirayuki's grandfather, kills Shirayuki's aunt in front of her own eyes. That night, Yukito protects her, but dies in the act just when the sun was about to rise. Ranmaru escapes but some kakushi discover them (he was tecnically in a mission with Rengoku Shinjuro). That’s when her original hair color - a beautiful dark blue - whiten completely. Her father last words completely throw her off - he tells her to forgive him for being a bad father, that it’s okay if she doesn’t want to act as a boy anymore... but for a child like her that’s kinda awful. It’s like her whole world was a lie and now she knows nothing about “Shirayuki”. It’s much more comfortable if she keeps lying and be “Yukine” - a strong emotionless boy. She feels a void inside her and she doesn’t know how to fill it and it hurts her. She struggles to accept herself.

But now nobody can teach her the snow breathing anymore so her grandmother (the only family member that she still has) sends her to Urokodaki and try to “learn water first, before snow”. There, she’ll meet Sabito and Giyuu, two boys of her age, and they’ll become her first friends. She still keep her male alias, but she starts to feel better with their company -- that maybe it would be okay if they know about Shirayuki. So she decides to tell the two boys everything (Urokodaki already knows) only when they would pass the Final Selection... but as you all know, Sabito dies. 

This event totally empties her all over again - her friend died, just like her aunt and her father, and she could do absolutely nothing for him. It pains her, she feels like she had regressed -- like she did one step forward and ten behind. She feels like she was again back at that night, when she was familiar to the emptiness and void, because that was what she was taught to do since she was born.

She was thirteen when Sabito dies, but she and Giyuu pass the exam, becoming demon slayer. Three years later, she’s sixteen, but she still remains the same: empty, heart void of anything. She barely talks with Giyuu (who still doesn’t know of her being Shirayuki and not Yukine). In this period, however, in a mission, she meets him -- a fifteen years old Kyoujuro Rengoku. The one who will be the love of her life. Thanks to him, she start to understand what it means to be alive, the joy, the happiness and all the positive emotion she always had to keep locked. She starts to accepts herself -- that she’s Shirayuki and not Yukine.

I swear they’re so wholesome! Probably the most wholesome ship I ever wrote! Even more then my RyuHana, maybe.

“Repairing shattered core” is the title of the fanfiction -- it’s divided into two parts, the first one is this prequel of Shirayuki and I’ll talk about the second in my next post about Mari!

NB: It also has the “bittersweet ending” tag because... well, you know what happens to Kyoujuro, right? 💀 It can’t be an happy happy ending, unfortunately 😭😭

Welcome to our Sanders’ Sides Fantasy/Medieval AU!

This is a world where there’s magic, dangerous creatures, and kingdoms.

In this AU we have two young kings, two advisors, two trusted guards, and two warring kingdoms.

There’s Malluidour, a kingdom where magic is encouraged to be used. It’s ruled by a young king dressed in green with the help of his advisor clothed in gold. In the shadows, a violet guard stands watch.

And there’s Dramomor, a kingdom where magic is a crime and people can’t be harmed by it. They are ruled by a young king clad in reds. His advisor stands by in sky blues, eager to assist. The indigo guard stands to the side, observing their actions.

Potential triggers that will turn up throughout this: Some blood, war, possibly panic attacks, Remus being Remus (cursing, innuendos, etc., but we’ll try to tone it down), probably italics and all caps at some points, a spider (Virgil’s familiar), and stress. (Tell us if we need to add something else!)

DNI if you’re racist, homophobic, or transphobic.

We’re working on some art for this too, but that may take a while with summer work and the upcoming school year. We do have some Picrews we made if you guys are interested though?

Also, this will be question driven, so you guys will get to be able to actively participate in this!! What you say could impact the characters, unlock side stories (maybe), and help you learn more about them. We may even do votes or something with some choices for you guys!

Q: What do you mean by ‘we/us?’

A: I’m working on this with a few friends. You can call them Soup and Mo! We’ll each sign off on (and tag) asks that we answer that aren’t part of the story. If you want to ask one of us or one character specifically something, make sure to put their name in your ask!

Q: Hey, ___ wasn’t in the medieval times..?

A: We know that some stuff here won’t exactly fit, so keep in mind that this stuff is supposed to be reminiscent of/inspired by medieval times and fantasy worlds and that we’re not going to get all the facts right.

Q: Will there be any ships in this?

A: No, this is meant to be entirely platonic/familial, but you can see some of this stuff as romantic if you want to!! (No r*mr*m stuff though please!)

Q: Will any sides be unsympathetic?

A: No one here will be unsympathetic! At worst, they’ll act like a jerk for a while, but they’ll honestly mean well whenever they’re acting like that. We’ve tried to make them as human as any of us, and that means they’ll make mistakes.

Hey! I remember a while back I read a fanfic of yours regarding twilight wings- the unofficial Raihan episode. In it their was an oc of yours, and I was wondering if you have any more? I like making oc's myself and it's fun to see other people's ideas and stories.

Hi there!  You have...opened the floodgates (in a good way). I have quite a few champion OCs. I’ll focus on the various champion OCs I have since I’ve mentioned this on my blog before the champions of Pokemon remain my favorite class of characters as they have so much potential as we’ve seen with Leon in SwSh. This is going to be a somewhat long post as I have 5 champions to talk about (plus there are pics here, most of them commissions from some very talented artists that I’ve tagged as I can’t draw)

(There’s Marsha and her starter/ace Rosemary the Audino with @hayleyb100 ‘s character Richard. Thank you HayleyB for drawing this! And if you guys haven’t please check out her amazing art and stories)

I’ll start off with the OC you mentioned in your ask...Marsha (full name Marsha Miller). She’s the Alolan champion that we see in my Conviction, the Raihan twilight wings episode (also shameless plug for my fic). Like many champions she’s a mixed type trainer, but she does have a slight preference for fairy types on her team. Unlike the SM/USUM protagonist, she actually hails from Unova but her family is military (her father used to serve under Lt. Surge before becoming a lieutenant himself) and so she’s lived in Unova, Kanto, and Alola. Before she ended up becoming Alola’s champion, she was content with being head of the cheer squad at her high school while in Kanto (before her family announced moving again and she was needless to say, quite upset at the prospect of throwing away her cheer captain title). Back when she lived in Unova, she would often stop by her grandparents herbalist shop to learn about various medicinal herbs.

I hint to this a bit in my Convictions fic when Marsha asks Raihan a question about him becoming champion elsewhere, but Marsha has a huge bout of imposter syndrome from being the first ever champion of Alola as she doesn’t feel like she measures up to the legends like Red or Blue or known superstar champions like Leon and Cynthia. A lot of her character growth comes after she wins the title as she learns to work with Kukui to help build up the Alola League and make it famous. Luckily she happens to be a pretty friendly, if somewhat reserved character making it easy for her to befriend the likes of Leon and Raihan (and she also gets them to be a couple). Both Leon and Raihan give her tips they’ve learned from being in Galar to help boost the reputation of the Alola League. Back in Alola she is good friends with Mallow, Plumeria and Mina as they often visit Mallow’s restaurant to eat and catch up. She ends up being a big sister friend to Gladion, Lillie and Hau (being in her late teens when she first met the kids) as well as Iris when she meets her at the champion’s conference.

The next one is my probably my most well-developed champion OC and my version of Victor/Gloria...Calla Okoro. She’s the Sword Hero of Galar to go with Hop’s Shield Hero. Calla is a baby genius with an IQ of 162 (so she’d qualify for MENSA in the real world) and graduated college at the age of 12 with a degree in chemistry, a year before she ends up taking on the gym challenge. Her favorite type is poison and she decided that she would take on the gym challenge by using only Poison types, refusing a starter from Leon to train up her Budew and other poison types she found along the way. 

Her knowledge of poison types would become very useful towards the end of the challenge and Eternatus awakening and possessing Leon , however this girl struggled so much at the beginning as the poison types she caught don’t really get good until they evolve. It was also a testament to having book knowledge of Pokemon and type advantages doesn’t equate to automatically winning a battle. She struggled especially at Kabu’s gym, resulting in her first official loss (outside of losing her second battle to Hop at Magnolia’s house due to his Rookidee being super effective against her Budew nicknamed Sabi). Calla is persistent though and patient so she worked with her team developing a killer toxic stall strategy (that helped her be the first person to take Leon down). As champion Calla uses her position to promote science and eventually goes back to school to get PhD, becoming the first Galar champion to also be a professor. When Calla is not doing Pokemon battles or giving science demos, she tends to enjoy doing backflip competitions with Gordie or rocking out at Piers’ concerts with Marnie and Hop and Bede (Bede will deny hanging out with them)

This is Jabari Revere, my Kalos champion OC and part of the Kalos 5. I’m still working on his backstory and personality as I replay Pokemon Y (I tend to replay the games for my champion OCs to build up their teams and get a sense for the personality). Jabari is a water type champion who enjoys his days swimming in the ocean and surfing on his Mantine, nicknamed Monterey. Like Serena from the anime he is a bit at odds with his mother Grace for wanting him to take up the family tradiiton of Rhyhorn racing. However unlike anipoke!Serena, he did have a goal of training water type Pokemon with the aim of becoming a water type champion just like Wallace from Hoenn. Jabari is definitely an easy going fellow, which helps him befriend Serena, Tierno, Trevor and Shauna as well as Grant and Clemont. Unlike my Galar champion Calla, he is more willing to use Pokemon other than water types, such as when he fought Korrina at the Mega Evolution tower using the Lucario who was attracted to his aura, or when he rescued Yveltal from Team flare and let it get revenge on Lysandre

Yes, you’re looking at a robot. His name is Valen and is actually my first non-self insert Pokemon OC. After watching the first Pokemon movie and seeing Mewtwo be a Pokemon trainer, and also after watching the Watson computer on Jeopardy, I came up with the idea of “what if someone made a robot as a Pokemon trainer”. Hence Valen, the world champion of my version of the Pokemon World

Created by Molayne and Sophocles at the request of Red and Blue as a new fixture for the battle tree, Valen quickly began to learn from the some of the strongest trainers how to battle (with a frequent opponent being Marsha as she needed someone who could challenge her in battle). Once he figured out how to consistently beat the likes of Red, Blue and Marsha in battle...it was a wrap. Valen travelled to every known region and soon became the undisputed most powerful trainer in the world defeating every last living champion. He even took on Leon, Cynthia and Red in a triple battle and won. Despite his absolutely monstrous skill Valen is an absolute sweetheart and always compliments his opponents in battle. He also loves bowties, with his first gift being the red bowtie he sports from Sophocles do not touch or harm that bowtie if you value your life, it’s one of the few things that will actually piss off this gentle giant of a robot.

So this is my final non-self insert champion OC,  His Royal Highness Jack, Duke of Stow-On-Side. In a discord server and on some messages here on tumblr, I’ve described Jack as the unholy combination of Caillou and Jack the Ripper.  Jack hails from a disgraced family of aura guardians who learned that they could use their aura powers to create shadow Pokemon. 150 years prior to the main Sword and Shield story line his family managed to beat back the Hammerlocke Royal family (aka the great Raihan’s family) from Stow-On-Side and Ballonlea to claim the two towns for themselves. When Peony stepped down as champion Jack ended up taking the champion title. Now Jack is actually a legitimately powerful trainer without the need to shadowfy his Pokemon, but he does so anyway to ensure absolute control and to hopefully make his royal family the absolute rulers of Galar (his actions would years later inspire Sordward and Shieldbert, the Dukes of Motostoke). He even bribed gym leaders to be extra difficult on challengers he deemed to be a threat (so Leon, Raihan, Nessa and Sonia got hit hard with this).

Jack’s misdeeds are pretty vast. The reason why Sonia is so unconfident in her battling skills? Jack ambushed her in the wild area and destroyed her in a match while mocking her. Why does Leon have that perfect image as champion? He’s trying to build back the reputation the Galar league has after Jack nearly destroyed it’s rep on the world stage with his actions. Why are Leon and Sonia so insistent on you focusing on the gym challenge and leaving the problems to the adults? The adults during their gym challenge were either on Jack’s side or were actually useless against him and his shadow Pokemon. To quote my friends in an rp server I’m in “Jack is the absolute worst”  So that’s all of the champion OCs I have. As I continue to write more fanfic will definitely see all of them pop up in various stories.
