listen December is Dread Month™ for me so I take whatever my brain can get to survive it emotionally, so in this instance it's joining my buddy @eleanorose123 in her current hyperfixation like I have for the past while :D So while she is still my "target audience" so to speak because she loves Yu-Gi-Oh and I like making art for friends, these are for me too :] (like all of my art is, really. I would not spend this much time on it if it wasn't at least partially for me!) I'm more or less a "fandom tourist" at this point; I don't officially go here but a friend does so I'm here visiting to have a good time, and whatever "souvenirs" I get are all the funny scenes and funky little guys that live in my head rent free now! Yippee :D I have more doodles that are actually older than this set, but I want to do a little more with them so I'll post those later :]

I have no reasoning behind why my brain arrived at the idea of Kirby crossover art that parodies an iCarly meme but do I really need it??? Naaaaaaaah :] Two of my funny space creatures together <3 I enjoy the idea of Saiou just carrying him around like "yep you're mine now :)" Ponder the orb (and buy him a smoothie) Unironically this is some of the best art I've made all year, like it turned out so absurdly well that I took it to clean lines and colour/shading, and that too came out well! They both have their respective anime colours, but with some additional highlights and coloured line art because my boys deserve it <3333

This is honestly the most fun I've had with art in a while too, though I know fan art tends to do that for an artist! Don't get me wrong, I've loved everything I've put out for my own projects and commissions this year, as I am not predominantly a fan artist despite how many things I love in that regard.

But considering I've been largely unable to actually let myself do this kind of art as frequently as I used to (the ever-looming anxiety of not getting enough commission work to live or personal project work done to tell my stories is a strong one) I really needed this, even if it was born out of necessity to survive Dread Month than anything else. That's as good a reason as any, I suppose! Might be an odd thing to reflect on for such silly/lighthearted art such as this, but I think that's the point.

I'm a firm believer in the idea that no artistic endeavour is ever truly wasted, even if you don't know how or when it'll come back to you! I actually got some really good analysis of my own art journey and style during my adventures in exploring the Yu-Gi-Oh art style here, which was as unexpected as the rest of this, honestly!

I'm already an introspective person to begin with, but the end of the year makes me reflect on things even more than usual, so thanks for reading this far! If nothing else, I hope you enjoyed the sillies :]

Ozz I unironically love the idea of a fucked up not-quite-romance between a fire ant and an anteater and you have inspired me

the only thing in my head is that it ends in the anteater actually eating the ant alive (in a brutal and gruesome manner) and the last thoughts of the ant as the excruciating pain from being devoured while still conscious begins to fade to a dull ache are just "Oh this is an act of love, they're consuming me out of a desire to be closer than bodily possible so they're doing the only thing they can think to do" and the ant weakly tries to lean up for a kiss only for part of their head to get chomped off which finally kills them

and then after it's all done the anteater realizes they actually did love the ant but their hunger always got in the way of realizing it

bonus: make it a crossover and have the detective with the yan!eldritch god investigate the crime scene after the body was found (and the anteater is now holed up somewhere slowly losing their sanity from emotional agony because they ate the person they loved)

sorry if this is too fucked up for you, I like writing dark and twisted murder mysteries and describing the kills in detail (I am asking this on anonymous out of fear and shame)

My only observation to your otherwise perfectly splendid story is whether it's a final chomp we're talking about, or just one, big slurp. Given Reader is a straight-up anteater, or at least maintains some of that anteater behavior, there might be slight technical difficulties when it comes to chewing the yandere in the theatrical way suggested by you.

The Detective!Reader and Eldritch God embark on a gruesome journey that causes them to question their own morality and sense of love. The ancient monster gazes upon the scarce remains of the ant, and a thought suddenly strikes him: would he ever find himself in a similar position? When his beloved human reaches old age, would he not be tempted to devour their very soul while it's still throbbing with life and dreams? It has potential. Though for him, personally...he'd rather just kill the masses and trade their souls for yours.

Heh. It's a nice idea, and you absolutely don't have to worry about something being too gory. When it comes to cannibalistic tendencies, I do have one Hannibal x Reader short which I feel is very much on topic. It's a trope I enjoy a lot, but I never know when to insert it in a story. I actually have an empty draft for a Yan!Artist, and I'm now wondering if I should write it in a mildly horror-esque manner, where the Yandere keeps painting you as dissected and split open, fantasizing about your insides as the ultimate form of intimacy.

I have this crossover idea. Sarah Christ x Creekside Killer amangela hatchetfield alternate universe where the creekside killer is Grace Chasity (played by Angela), whose serial killings used to be under the name of Christ killer since she killed in the name of the ‘lord’ as heard through rumours (this changes eventually to Creekside Killer, Grace does these killings for the lords in black and want to use her to obtain more power, do evils things idk)

I think it matches up because the creekside killer is infamous for their strength (I like to think that the creekside killer is interpreted as a ‘him’ due to strength, bodied a man to death but I see this as the dark arts and stealing souls as grace learns at the end of npmd), and the timeline is so lost with Sarah Christ lol. She doesn’t even know how long she’s been searching (maybe she’s been chosen to unironically cleanse the world of the lords in black, somehow fitting of her last name of Christ) but it’s her destiny to save the world from the Creekside Killer. I think this would be like whatever happens in Black Friday with Lex (who is also played by Angela lol) when she is chosen by General McNamara to fight the supernatural and evil from the Black and White?

anyways I think it would be an epic idea (also love the idea of someone known as the Christ killer x Sarah Christ) but I do not have the time to draw nor write this rn but I am. I will unironically ship cross-show host ships. Not just the ones from the smile crossover, things like AirCorn too where they've never met and have no chance of meeting.

People take issue with literally any ship Airy is in within his own show, which to some extent, I get. But I'm not saying I support actual irl relationships like any Airy x contestant ship, I literally ship BatJokes for God's sake. Having a host x host ship is good because usually their crimes are somewhat on level footing (even though most are treated like jokes), WHICH SIDE TANGENT HERE, I hhhhate people who will call me weird for trying to have a discussion about some of the character's immoral actions from less serious shows. Airy hfjONE for kidnapping and manslaughter is treated so much worse than Popcorn for SPREADING INFECTIOUS DISEASES. Just let me suspend disbelief a bit, ok. Yeah, so anyways, I think AirCorn is good bc Airy to some extent doesn't understand the severity of his crimes, whereas Popcorn does and would commit those crimes again.

I'm a sucker for the other host x host dynamics, too, and I just think we're so lucky to have gotten any crossover content we did, canon or not. TwoPhone has been fed?? I no joke started shipping AnimatiClock like three days before sacri uploaded the crossover, and I had no idea.

I'm trying to think of something else worthy of confession here, but I've already confessed a lot in different sessions, and this isn't an NSFW blog.

I still refuse to watch BFDI and affiliated shows, and I will say I find the writing utterly disgusting in the most literal sense. Gross-out humor is for children, but so is most of the stuff JnJ makes. I just think they could respect their audience's intelligence more. Even kids want well written humor in some ways, and I personally think object shows would do best as 'all ages' media that respect their audience. But JnJ makes so much money that I don't think it matters to them. Side note, I watched a livestream of theirs recently, and they seemed very tired. I could be reading into it, but seeing your audience is only children and that they've been doing this for over a decade, I wouldn't be surprised if they quit sometime soon and leave TPOT etc to be produced without them. I don't know if they have already or if they've talked about it, I don't plan to watch anything else from them, save for the specials with algebraliens in them. Needless to say, I won't keep track of it, and the only reason I'm not an outright JnJ hater is because of how close they work with AnimationEpic and the xfohv content. Other than that, grr.

Hey I have a question, is it wrong that I hate the Disney short film Once Upon a Studio and prefer Wish over it as the superior centennial celebration of Disney? I think it’s one of the shorts that Disney has ever made, not only because of the Wish hatedom and its popularity, I also despise it because it I find the premise of the film generic and stupid; it’s literally just generic Disney crossover number 1,000 and people over praise it (even though they’ve made similar crossovers like House of Mouse). The reason I think that Wish is better is because I’m one of the very few people who unironically thinks that the movie is a masterpiece, it has beautiful animation, a great soundtrack, and unforgettable characters. It’s also a rare case in which employees were protesting through their work. The movie is meant to be a metaphor for Disney itself, with the kingdom of Rosas representing Disney, Asha is meant to be someone who grew up with Disney and now works at the company as an animator as either an intern or a low ranking animator at either the main studio or PIXAR, and Magnifico is meant to be the company higher ups who went mad with power as a result of their money and greed who uses others as an excuse to make themselves more powerful (like the Onceler in the Lorax). The only other time I can think of artists biting the hand of the people who were feeding them was in the video game Super Smash Bros Ultimate, where the devs vilified both Nintendo and its fan base in the form of Galeem and Dharkhan respectively. And what’s worse is that apparently the people who were working on the movie were treating it like it was a passion project, and if you don’t believe me, here’s a Reddit post from one of the animators who worked on the movie (courtesy of @/starsha-stardust ):

This is genuinely depressing, a bunch of people work on a passion project, only for it to get viciously torn to shreds by film critics, Disney Haters, Toxic Disney Fans, and the internet. I feel like if the movie was made by a different studio than Disney then it would be universally praised (especially if it was an indie animated web series), but since the 2020s are basically the golden age of the Disney Hatedom, they’re treating it and every other movie made by Disney and PIXAR as films that are on the same level of quality as the movie Food Fight. I refuse to watch Once Upon a Studio because of these people (and in case you’re wondering, the theater I saw Wish at didn’t show the short before the movie) and I probably never will unless these people change their minds and say they’re sorry. Don’t get me wrong, if you don’t like it and have a valid reason for not liking it, then that’s fine, but if you don’t like it because it wasn’t an incestuous love story between the ghost of a recently deceased 100 year old man and his 17 year old granddaughter, then you should go seek therapy. But at the end of the day, do you think I’m being too harsh on OuaS?

If the Lego Monkie Kid gang with Nezha and Ao Bing from Nezha (2019) were celebrities, what kind of celebrities would they be? Authors, cartoonists, comedians, actors, singers, DJ, directors, Youtubers, streamers, magician, models, dancer, talk show host, American Ninja Warrior, acrobat, fire eater and performer? Maybe athletes?

MK I feel would be someone who does goofy things for the odd youtube video. Maybe the rare cooking video where he tries recreating a recipe from a game/show he likes. Does the art for Tang's graphic novel. He's recently gotten attention for a web cartoon pilot he created single-handedly - an actual studio wants to pick it up!! He's so excited!

Mei is already an established celebrity in universe as a vlogger and racer. She does a lot of stunt videos and live chats. Loves doing crossovers with other celebs, even through 6-second tiktoks.

Red Son is more like a person who builds insane stunt cars and robotics. Just someone you know is a genius at these things. He has very blunt and informative mechanic and car-maintenace videos available online. Has built something odd like a Robot who Screams unironically and has a ten hour video of the process.

Pigsy definetly is like the chinese Gordon Ramsay of the demon cooking world. Loud, easy to anger, but calm and understanding with children and people who honestly dont know better. Gladly goes on a media blackout whenever he feels like it.

Tang wrote a really popular book/graphic novel inspired by the "Journey to the West" and is just loving the attention. He shares a lot of concept art online and sneaks his ideas into fanfic sites under a pseudonym. He always grins whenever someone argues that "Tang would never have done X to that character!!!" while writing as GoldenCicadaYumYum. Also does a foodie travel blog on the side under the same pseudonym.

Sandy is like Jeremy Wade from "River Monsters" mixed with Jackson Galaxy. He accidentally gets attention because he recorded some really good fishing and cat behavior videos, and he gets contacted for a travel channel-type show where he investigates the role of cats and their impact in different parts of the world. He loves his work, though his producers keep telling him to stop adopting every stray he finds in his travels.

Nezha in both the LMK & Nezha (2019) verse would start out as infamous "pranksters" celebrity before trying to shrug off fame entirely. Becoming a mechanic or a taxi driver. Keeps getting recognised and hates it.

Ao Bing I feel does something phyically beautiful but demanding. He's a famous ice/figure skating prodigy, having successfully won a bronze medal for China at the Olympics at his first ever competition. Is currently struggling how to juggle all this new attention now that he's training for the skating Grand Prix.

but i do have one question. did your experience ruin every character? like do you still like Elle, JJ, and Morgan? (the characters i personally consider to be a bit less oversaturated, or who i see much less posts about, and who are also my faves lol)

no, my enjoyment of the other characters has not been ruined, but I still hesitate to rewatch the show and participate in the fandom because of my mixed feelings about the fandom as a whole.

I still reblog gifsets of JJ and Emily because I can still casually enjoy them, and I would reblog Morgan if I saw more gifsets of him in existence, but people don't gif him enough (if people have any good gifsets of him, please send them my way). I have a fic for Morgan in my drafts that I have been heavily considering finishing, but I haven't quite had the motivation to do so, and same thing with a MILF JJ fic that I drafted out a few weeks ago

I really wouldn't mind posting fics for those characters because they are way less popular and I feel like the crossover between the fans who only watch the show for Spencer (or even fans who don't watch the show at all and just thirst over MGG via tiktoks) and people who enjoy all the characters equally and would enjoy JJ fics and Morgan fics is not a venn diagram but two separate circles.

also, I have such an intense love for Gideon platonically. I feel like there is not nearly enough love and passion in the fandom for Gideon as a pillar character in the series, and I have mentioned it before - how I have a passion for collecting father figures from different series. John Kramer, Gideon, Dale from TWD (and yes, it's because my own father irl is so shit) - and Gideon is a character who truly warms my heart and gives me such a fondness and I would rewatch the show over and over again just for him

also on a side note, one of the biggest flaws of the fandom and one of the huge reasons I don't interact with the fandom and left - while on discussion of JJ and Morgan - is because of the treatment of characters aside from Spencer.

people ruthelessly hate JJ but uphold Emily, because most people believe that Emily is 'canonically' a lesbian, while JJ is in a main het relationship and she is a wife and mother - she gets endlessly criticised for 'choosing' Will over Emily (as if the network would have ever hosted a main queer relationship, and as if the homophobia of the network is the choice of a fucking fictional character to put that blame on), she gets criticised for spending too much time at work instead of being with her kids when one of her main storylines is about her physically fighting to save her child, and yet she's also criticised for being too soft and emotional when one of the best parts of her character is that her empathy as a mother brings a unique perspective to the cases? people act like she's cold and ruthless for not being with her children constantly, yet she's too emotional when she sympathizes with cases involving children???

(like is she a bad mother or not, please fucking decide)

also, I will never forget the post where someone said unironically that JJ 'ruined' Spencer's life by yelling at him one time, that she's a horrible friend to him, and that he loves Henry more than she does. thank you, I'm out

and not to mention how a skinny sickly looking beanpole like Reid and a crusty dusty geriatric liver spotted old man like Hotch get paraded around as if they are the hottest pieces of ass in the world and they have ten thousand fucking fics each and Morgan is suffering for CRUMBS while being the hottest man on the fucking show, and it is literally just because he's black. like the fandom will never say it out loud, but the white men get more attention from fangirls than he does because they are white

the fandom is flawed from the ground-up. and if I did ever finish and posts the fics I have in my drafts, idk if I would still be motivated to post that much about the fandom in general? especially because I am more into Teen Wolf right now because that's what I've been watching (which - I need to pick back up on it).

I do really like discussing the source material because it's something I've been involved with and enjoying for more than a decade now, so idk. if people sent me CM asks I might answer them, I might not. I like discussing and making meta about all the fandoms I'm in because I am fucking yappy in general
