don't think i didn't notice the pattern occurring in these last few chapters.... we literally went from yuuji and sukuna violently fighting each other (264) to yuuji taking sukuna out on a date (265) to them having another intense and dramatic fight scene lover's spat (266) to yuuji proposing marriage (268).

i'm going to make an educated guess here and say that if sukuna comes back the next chapters are going to be them having some more intimate conflict and then suddenly yuuji's going to ask to have sukuna's kids.

been thinking about yuuji and how he just carelessly notices and remembers stuff. like megumi’s favourite popcorn flavour. he heard megumi mention it to him once and he just remembered it. yuuji never goes out of his way to take a mental note of any of it so he would remember it, he simply does. it’s the way he would notice megumi’s gaze lingering on one of the albums he was looking at a second longer than it would at the others. and so once it was megumi’s birthday, of course, he would suddenly remember that album and he would get it for him. the thing is, yuuji doesn’t go out of his way to pay attention to these things, nor does he write them down so he remembers them later. it comes as naturally to him as breathing does.

sorry i'm thinking abt megumi's incessant desire to be the first to die vs. the narrative keeping him alive despite and how the most tragic ending for him is not actually dying, but being left behind. for megumi, the worst fate is living a long life

Look, I know we Megumi fans hate jjk reddit for their lack of media literacy, empathy and habit of calling someone a fraud for the most stupid reasons.

That being said:

You can't tell me this two aren't cooking with that itafushi angst. Idk about Megumi starting the merger but the evil part of me is really into the Romeo and Juliet thing of him seeing Yuuji "dead" (whether for real or not) and then killing himself.

Not sure if i would like it for canon but i do like to think of the scenario.
