The Illusion of Truth - The World of Shipping

The illusion of Truth - repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. That is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Gobl. Among psychologists something like this is known as the illusion of truth effect. The idea is repetition! 

We see this so often in the world of shipping. Especially with our neighbors and their perceived relationship status between Jungkook and Taehyung.

If you reinforce something over and over again you start to believe it even if goes against the most fundamental truth. This strategy was actually reinforced by hitler himself in his 1925 autobiographical manifesto. He observed that most people are only comfortable telling small lies because of this Hitler believes that when something big is claimed we tend to believe it because we ourselves can’t imagine that someone would be telling such a big lie. 

In the manifesto Hitler said that it would never come into our heads to fabricate colossal untruths and we would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.  

Even though facts which prove the actual truth may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation.  This is clearly seen in the case of Jikook. Facts are clearly out there, but the neighbors discount each and every one of them. They can’t fathom there is a close and personal bond between Jimin and Jungkook. They think any and every interaction must be fanservice, because they have been sold that bill of goods, opps I mean that illusion of reality. They even think enlisting together is fanservice. Again, there has to be some explanation to explain the bond of Jimin and Jungkook. There is no way they are in a relationship, in their minds it means if jikook is real, their ship of Taehyung and Jungkook are not in a relationship, but just friends. Jikook destroys what they have believed all these years.

The illusion of reality convinces people that the truth that we see, hear, feel or touch are NOT TRUE by just repeating and saying something so ridiculously UNTRUE that it’s so hard to believe anyone would even dare say it. 

Back to shipping, we know all shippers put forth theories, evidence, and proof of their supposed ship. Many keep it surface level and fun. However, some take it so far that they hurt the subject(s) of their ships or those they feel threaten that ship. We see this with some of the fans of Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook. We see hate campaigns based on edited videos, false narratives, and outright lies. Then these lies are repeated so often that many believe them in part because it supports their belief and because people don’t or won’t take the time to verify or validate such lie(s). This process is nothing but the use of propaganda which can result in cult like behavior. 

Unfortunately, we have twitter accounts and YouTubers who promulgate these lies and narratives for views and monetization of their channels. Others promote these lies with the expressed intent upon hurting and threatening people such as Jimin and to a lesser extent Jungkook.  We saw this last year with the hate campaign towards Jimin and Jungkook when they traveled to Japan along with the hate letters to the Defense Ministry of SK.

The YouTube channel “Asian Entertainment and Culture” posted an excellent video today called “Dirty PR & Marketing Tricks Used to Destroy JHope & Other Idols”. the bulk of my comments above as it relates to the Illusion of Reality came directly from her video. She was not addressing shipping, but the smear campaign against JHope and Jungkook because a group of fans want Scooter Braun removed from Hybe and also to smear Jungkook’s collaboration with Usher who they say has supported Israel. However, everything she addressed in her video also applies to the world of shipping and we so clearly see what she is talking about in this world. 

After all these paragraphs of words above, if you don’t get anything out of what I said, try and recognize when you see “The Illusion of Reality”.  Validate and verify the best you can what you are being fed or consuming. Watch full content and not just edited clips, read reputable articles from reputable sources. Watch various YouTubers and look at how they present information. Are they using reputable sources? Are they presenting facts or opinions? Are they serving up their own narrative to support their channel? Is the analysis based on facts or innuendos, half truths or outright lies? Be a critical thinker and not just parrot the illusion of reality.

The 2-AziraCrow Theory

Maybe I should be calling this my head canon, and not even give it theory status.

But I’ll press on nevertheless. This theory had a seed planted when I saw this quote mentioned at the end of one of Sendarya’s videos in which she mentioned the Theologica Germanica concept of the soul having two halves.

The soul has two eyes When one makes an effort Without the other It shan't get very far, When they help each other They accomplish much. [William of St-Thierry]

Some time later, I began to see the pattern, a theme, that seemed to emphasize the concept of twos.

After noticing these, I started looking for other repeating, seemingly frequent ideas.

These ideas just keep crashing and bouncing and ricocheting around in my head. They just won’t coalesce into anything coherent. My apologies for the chaos and disorganization.

Theme – Two, Half, Split There are references everywhere, in dialog and visually, to “2”s, “halves”, and “splits”. Far too many to list, but examples include putting the lesser demons on half rations; being shown a demon’s split-tongue three different times, Azi & Crowley performing half a miracle each; Shax asking Crowley about the two yellow(!) lights on the boiler; the twin passions of Bildad; Crowley leads the humans out of the bookshop 2x2; even Uriel makes two complete revolutions pacing around Michael in the scene before Sq and Muriel arrive in E1. Honestly, the list is extensive. I suppose, however, that it could be referring to two of any number of things.

Theme – Inside/Outside Again, we have dialog and visuals that emphasize the idea of things being inside or outside, but especially inside. Azi to Crowley in the smitten scene “Why don’t you wait inside? You like to wait inside?” Nina’s “A lot of people in this head…”; And we have so many scenes of someone looking inside or out a window. I have quite a list in another document on my computer.

Theme – Spies This one starts right off with the spy sitting down at the wrong bench, next to Crowley. Shax recruits Crowley to try and find out what’s going on in the Up. Beez recruits Crowley to help find Gabriel, etc. Then there’s Jane Austen, master spy. The three zombies spying on them to get Furfur’s proof and we could even say that those go back to S1E3, 1941, “…half-witted Nazi spies running about London…” And, I also really, really don’t trust Michael. Could they be a spy for hell in heaven? But I don’t have any real evidence for that. Just a distrust of Michael.

Theme – “Bit”s Another word used throughout the season, and maybe even in S1. Well, we definitely have the final S1 scene with Azi saying to Crowley “…if you weren’t, at heart, just a little bit, a good person.” Searching the S2 transcript comes up with ~25-ish uses of the word. Is that a lot? Or normal? I have nothing to compare to it, nor base it on. So although Azi is not Crowley’s “bit on the side”, I thought, maybe Crowley is sometimes Azi’s “bit on the inside”.

Theme – Point Another well-used word throughout the script, appearing ~24 times. This is trickier, though, because “point” can have a number of reasons – the reason or conclusion, indicating direction, or the sharp point, of, say, a pin? I suspect that all are somehow applicable in this season.

But just looking at the last one, it could be a call-back to S1 and how many angels, or demons, can dance on the head of a pin. Where we learn that Crowley can make himself small enough to speed through a telephone wire.

I always vaguely thought Crowley’s line to Mrs Sandwich about whether or not she had her hatpin was a bit of an odd, maybe throw-away line and Mrs Sandwich responds so quickly and charmingly that the line gets passed over. But again, is it a reminder of what angels and demons are capable of? Or does this line mean something else I’m just not aware of?

Theme – Small Crowley Not as fully developed, and maybe not as obvious, but in E1 on the bench, for example, after the spy leaves, we see “normal-sized” Crowley immediately followed by seeing a “small” Crowley in Shax’s compact mirror (and he’s looking out of the mirror, see above) when she arrives. In the resurrection minisode, we see another “small” Crowley, when he’s off his head on laudanum.

Theme – “Invisible” Crowley As far as I’ve gotten to date, there are two definite scenes where I think Crowley is actually inside Azi’s head (or whatever) and not physically there.

First, when they leave GMCoGMD with the Eccles cakes in E1. As soon as they are outside the shop, Azi barely looks at Crowley, and Maggie doesn’t seem to see him, that brief conversation is only between Azi and Maggie. Crowley only “talks” to Azi once they’ve started walking again.

Second, and the bigger one, is in E5 when Azi heads out to solicit the shopkeepers to go to the meeting. Crowley asks “Can I watch?” and just follows Azi around and again, Azi barely looks at him; the shopkeepers appear to act as if they are only talking to one person, and Crowley is completely quiet around them, just hanging around in the background.

I also noticed that in these cases Crowley is on Azi’s right, the opposite of where we usually see him. (Oh, an exception is Mrs Cheng, where he’s on Azi’s left again, and he acknowledges Mrs Cheng when they leave, implying to me that Mrs Cheng can see him.) There could be more instances where we see this behavior, but I haven’t studied every episode yet to look for it.

Theme – S2 posters Just looking at these two for now. Azi and Crowley with one pair of wings, one white one black, behind them. I’ve seen the line “…and they aren’t talking…” I’m not quite convinced yet that they aren't talking. I think it could mean they aren’t talking face-to-face, physically. And I optimistically see their positioning as that they’ve still got each other’s back. Maybe I’m in denial, but I just don’t see the “break-up” as extensive as many seem to.

The other poster is this one of Azi and Crowley, each with the other in their heads/thoughts. Crowley is “seeing” Azi from a memory, from 1941. But Azi is seeing a current Crowley, draped across the bookshop chair. Also, I noted that the [double!] rings that surround them are linked.

My way-out-there idea, then, is that Azi and Crowley have “carved out” space for a duplicate but also somehow real, bookshop (a high-fidelity copy?) within Azi, within his mind, his brain, his soul, I don’t know. And he can enter and leave it as needed. It could also be a copy of Azi’s memories or something.

But it’s also someplace Crowley can visit, a place he can go in and out of (like the telephone lines in S1) as needed. I wonder, then, does Crowley in the end “split” himself, so that a “bit” of himself can go up to heaven with Azi? Referring back to Jane Austen, brandy smuggler – is Azi smuggling Crowley into heaven? All season, Azi usually has his hands closed, perhaps to imply he’s carrying and/or hiding something.

With this theory, it gets complicated, though, figuring out which “reality” we’re looking at. The external original(?) world? Azi’s copy in his head? Or a memory? Or none of the above and this is all nonsense.

Multiple sets of memories, possibly getting mixed together, could help account for the inconsistencies in flashbacks, the apparent “continuity errors” in various scenes, the changing POV.

We’ve seen the physical appearance swap. We’ve seen Azi’s physical possession of Madame Tracy in which they could both control the body. What I am considering is neither of those.

This is just a start. I’ll keep working on it unless someone already has some convincing evidence that clearly refutes the idea.

Random Ethgoesboom head canons

I know I mostly post Sams/laes stuff but damnit Ethgoesboom is a channel that will live in my heart and mind rent free forever so here's head cannons I made at work not all characters though some will have more then others

Everyone: every character who's possessed by a childs spirit lost big parts of their personalities after they were killed and when Afton was confronted by them for the first time he didn't recognize them as the kids he killed at first

Freddy: Freddy sometimes wants to give his microphone to Bonnie Chica and even foxy somedays because he really wants to give them the chance to shine in the spotlight, once when candy tied both of them up Freddy tried calling everyone for help because he wasn’t in the mood react to anything that day but when bonnie foxy and chica came to check on them they just laughed and took pictures before leaving, the big part of Gabriel's personality that got lost after his death was that he was someone who couldn't ever be in the spotlight because he was afraid that people would laugh at him but he would look up to Freddy because of how confident he was so when he possessed Freddy he gained that confidence

Foxy: foxy is banned from playing bored games after he threw the monopoly board and broke the window of the office,the big part of Fritz's personality that was lost was that he was extremely smart when it came to marine biology and would always say if he couldn't be a pirate when he grew up he was at least going to do something involving the sea so he can always be with it had he grow he would've done anything he could to clean the ocean

BB: BB is possessed by the soul of the biological little brother of Fritz so he and foxy are actually siblings and when alive both saw the soul in JJ as a little sister, actually no personality was lost from him because he died extra young so there wasn’t much to lose

Bonnie: Bonnie is banned from playing Uno with foxy for his own safety after he annoyed foxy so much that foxy punched him very hard and broke one of his teeth and to answer the question they both lost to cupcake and had to make Chica and cupcake pizza for a week, the big part of Jeremy's personality that was lost is that he was very much a fighter yes he was a comedic child but pick on his friends and family and he will break your nose (yes this is based on the theory that Jeremy died fighting)

You’re probably thinking that chica is next but I believe in saving the best for last so she will be last, love you chica :3 💛

Golden Freddy: Goldie has dreams of if he and everyone were never killed by Afton and sometimes he would wake up crying because of how much he wished it was real, Goldie also had nightmares of not being able to protect everyone from the nightmares or springtrap (I have honestly no idea what part of his soul’s personality would be lost since idk if eth’s doing the two soul theory or not so unfortunately he won’t have that part puppet too)

The puppet: much like Goldie puppet had dreams where no one was killed and also has nightmares of not being able to protect them but something different is that they also dream of the day everyone’s souls are finally free and they can have fun and finally relax with their families and other friends in the afterlife

The cupcake crew: whenever the cupcakes are extra protective especially to their chica’s they growl and bark since they’re possessed by dogs (watch the movie again and try telling me that cupcake isn’t a dog I f🐬king dare you) ,the reason chica can understand the cupcakes/ all small food animatronics is because of how much Susie loved animals especially her own dog when they were killed their souls connected in a way that allows her to finally understand what her bestiest friend and it allowed her to understand other animatronic possessed by pets

(Sorry toys, phantoms, nightmares, etc I got nothing for y’all)

Main fowa together: due to how long they’ve been with each other they all see each other as siblings chica being the youngest of them but in life some of them had actual siblings (like bb) and the ones with siblings will sit with each other and talk about what they remember about said sibling, very rarely they would refer to each other by their real names especially when talking about something serious (example:

Foxy: Freddy you need to talk to us something is clearly upsetting you

Freddy:guys I’m fine…

Bonnie:but you’re clearly not Freddy..

Freddy:…I’m fine i swear-

Chica: Fred-…Gabriel!..please talk to us we want to help you with whatever is hurting you..)

Chica 💛: chica has pizza hidden in vents all over the pizzeria that she eats though out the day and she eats all of them and surprisingly none gets spoiled because she always remembers where they are, she’s terrified of bugs and actually sprays herself with bug spray after her cockroach infestation, (had to give some happyish ones before the main point sorry long and kinda sad) Susie lost basically all of her personality when she died due to her A. Possessing a animatronic who’s supposed to be gluttonous and B. Being killed on a empty stomach she didn’t eat breakfast because she was saving room for pizza and birthday cake then her dog got hit by a car and she was too sad to eat anything before being killed, when alive Susie was very smart, and if she wasn’t going to be a veteran when she grew she could’ve been a amazing actress where she’d get the spotlight but now she doesn’t get the spotlight and her knowledge is gone due to being in constant pain from a empty stomach that can never be filled (this also is my own FNAF theory for Susie too not just for egb)

HOPPING ON HERE AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SUPER LONG THEORY POST BOYSSSSS

WELL YOU ARE WRONG. /j I AM HERE TO RUIN IT ALL.

that is very much a joke I’m sorry I’m very high on adrenaline right now becAUSE THE NEW COVERS FOR ISSUE 9 JUST DROPPED AS I’M WRITING THIS OUT AND I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT AND I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS. So why don’t I just cut the dilly-dallying and get right on with it?

So, first thing I wanna mention is Sonic’s current state and his relationship status. (You may take that as out of context as you want lol) Sonic is currently in an internal state of panic mixed in with exhaustion. MAJOR exhaustion! Bro had to rush to Omega’s aid right after fighting Shadow in a cave full of ice. If that’s not draining as heck then I have no idea what isn’t. And on top of all that, he not only almost killed Omega, but he also knows now that his friends have known what was going on with him for a while! Probably ever since the scene where him, Tails, and Knuckles went out for breakfast and he passed out at the table. (I can’t remember which issue that was atm. I think issue 3…?) In short, Sonic is experiencing a whole rollercoaster of emotions right now, and he isn’t even awake yet! As soon as he wakes up I theorize he’s gonna be asking everyone a lot of questions, and will then ask for elaborations on top of all the answers he receives! I also don’t think he will be as trusting of others anymore, since his friends all knew of his biggest kept secret for a long while now and nobody said or did anything about it!

Now combine that with the guilt he must feel for Omega… The last thing Sonic witnessed before passing out was him going on a rampage and almost killing the robot. He must not feel great about that…! 🫢 And his relationship with Team Dark will be relatively strained as well. I mean, aside from Rouge probably. She loves Omega, but knows the context behind the situation and doesn’t blame Sonic much for what happened, so I think she won’t change much around the Blue Blur. Though his relationship with Shadow was already strained before all that, so… Yeah.

ALRIGHT TIME TO TALK ABOUT CHIP WOOHOOOOOOOO

We all know now that Chip has finally experienced what I’m calling, “✨God Puberty✨”

(Imagine there are pretty pink sparkles floating around the name. Kinda like the classic “You’re watching Disney Channel” thing)

This ✨God Puberty✨ has essentially opened Chip’s eyes, and changes the game completely! Now we not only have a god on our side but also a god who has context! I believe Chip will try and guide Dark Gaia back to its sleeping state to restore balance like they usually do, as explained in the comic, but the attempt will backfire seeing as Dark Gaia was awoken prematurely by Dr. Eggman. (More on him in a second) Chip will keep trying, because they’re a big floofy funny god that just wants food and just went through ✨God Puberty✨ so they’ll naturally wanna keep this going at a peaceful rate. Because despite all of his power, Chip is still Chip. Just a smol bitty guy who wants ice cream. With the addition of being a god. Sonic will then of course have to step in, leading to him getting his Gaia energy taken away and him being free of this curse, and then the events of the game finale play out as normal. Probably. It’s getting late now and I’m getting tired so my brain energy is wavering so idk exactly if that’s what will happen but it’s some food for thought I suppose.

NOW WE CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT EGGMAN OH MY GOSH YES LET’S TALK ABOUT THE PATHETIC EGG-SHAPED SCIENTIST THAT WE CALL A MAN MADE OUT OF EGGS

To keep this short and simple, I’ll discuss Eggman within the context we have based solely on the new covers alone. Meaning the only speculation I’ll be doing is based off of those and the last few times we’ve seen the guy in the comic. Which actually was… A long time ago, actually. If I’m remembering correctly, that is. I could be wrong. ANYWHIZZLE LEMME STOP JABBERING AND LET’S GET ON WITH THE THEORIZING-

So the first cover shows a new, most likely final form of Sonic’s, encasing Eggman in a cracked eggshell while using his claws. Or more specifically, there is Eggman, acting as an egg yolk, sitting in a puddle of egg whites with the shell on each side of him, while Sonic’s Gaia claws slowly close in on him in the back. Sonic is staring at him menacingly, his anger and frustration reaching a boiling point due to all the stress he’s most likely experiencing combined with the Dark Gaia energy within him. This cover makes me assume that this issue is gonna act as the final battle against Eggman, a final “Screw you!” To the fat man in red. Obviously, Eggy ain’t going down without a fight, as shown in the next cover, but we’ll get to that in a minute.

The first cover suggests that Eggman is gonna be the main role of the issue, and that he’s gonna get his ass kicked. Sonic is gonna confront him, fully transform into his final Werehog form due to anger and stress, and we’ll then move onto the next issue probably. Again, I’m getting tired so this theory is getting pretty sloppy.

Now onto cover numero dos! I love this cover honestly, and it’s literally only because Knuckles and Tails are seen defending a transforming Sonic from Eggman. They are literally using themselves as like. A meat shield. Normally I’d be like “Oh no what happened????” But right now all I can think is “Omg ✨Brothers✨ 🤩”

I don't like pure evil Gasters

I don’t like pure evil Gasters.

Or rather, I don’t like Gasters who get treated like they’re (pure) evil.

If Gaster is anything like any other character in both Undertale and Deltarune, he won’t be pure evil. His ‘evil’ will most likely come from pain, if all the pain mentions have anything to say about it.

Basically, If Spamton and Jevil can be forgiven (and become fan favorites) because their evil was from a source of pain…

Then why would Gaster be any different.

Why should we assume and treat Gaster like he’s pure evil, and thus, claim he deserves the pain…

When we treat nobody else like that.

Sure, there is the spade king, but the worst thing that happened to him was that he was thrown in a cell.

A far cry from being thrown into (metaphorical) hell, as so many people headcanon happened to Gaster.

Nobody in Undertale or Deltarune deserves their pain, it’s one of the core traits of these games. So why should Gaster be the sole exception.

If the vilification of Chara can result in an entire defence squad protesting, then why does nobody care that Gaster gets treated like a scapegoat as well?

I think it’s because we see so little of Gaster, plus his portrayal as devilish and creepy, makes people just. Not sympathise with him.

And I find that so unrelatable, as someone who felt really bad for Gaster ever since I discovered Goner Kid.

Which heightened the more fanfiction I read.

Other people hate Gaster because of their personal headcanons, which would be fine, except for the fact that AUs like Handplates and Underverse became so popular, that Hateable Gasters became so common, that it’s both very difficult to avoid…

And that there’s barely any variation.

The only Gaster headcanons that are popular are Dadster, which is usually good, sometimes neutral, rarely evil, and Badster, which always gets treated like evil no matter how nuanced he gets made (and people think the only way he can redeem himself is to be a dadster)...

And ships, more specifically Grillster (which is pure fanon), Kingdings (which makes more sense than Grillster at least) and Sanster, which gets called incest by dadster fans who can’t stand people have different headcanons than themselves.

And guess what? That's not much. If you just so happen to have completely different Gaster headcanons than any of these, including ones that are actually based on canon rather than preference…

Well, then you’re screwed in the content department, so that your only option is to look for niche content, blocking an endless stream of popular content just to get to it…

Or to write your own stories (assuming you can).

Now, I clearly don’t speak for most people here. In fact, I'm speaking about my own experiences here.

Remember the theory that Sans and Papyrus are pieces of Gaster? Or the theory that Papyrus is Gaster? Or even that Sans is Gaster?

Those theories never got popular.

People say it's because they think it's unlikely, but i suspect it's really because not many people just. Liked the idea that Sans and Papyrus could be one person we know nothing about that might be potentially evil.

In a similar fashion, I don’t think dadster and badster got popular because they are ‘likely to be true’ (which I heavily disagree with), but because most fans prefer some mundane dad whose entire character is determined with how he treats Sans, and to a lesser extend, Papyrus, over the Yume Nikki inspired eldritch man that Gaster most likely is in canon.

Which I personally think is really boring!

And if canon has anything to say about it, if Gaster turns out to be the father, he will be anything but mundane and he’ll actually have a characterization that isn’t centered around the fan favourite.

Shu: We were told we could contact the other teams if we got lost. Could it be that one of the teams has already given up? 

Kuro: Who knows. Maybe they’ve already reached the goal 

Shu: It’s only been an hour since we started, I think that’s far too early…?

Kuro: I don’t know. Well we won’t know until we pick up. The call is from… Tenma’s team

Mitsuru: "Ah, you finally picked up… Uwah! The screen is pitch black!"

Kuro: Hm? Ah, my bad. It’s a facetime. I didn’t realise 

Nagisa: "...We wanted to talk while looking at your faces. Sorry for bothering you so suddenly"

Kuro: Don’t worry about it. We were just having some silly small talk, so we aren’t particularly busy  

Shu: So what’s the matter? 

I’m sure it's not just because you want to see our pitiful expressions, hm? 

Mitsuru: "Yeah! Actually—"

Mitsuru: Tada! Look look, Oshisan-senpai. All that bread looks tasty, right?

Mitsuru: It’s okay, Oshisan-senpai. I don’t know where we are but I remember the name of the store!

You will lose more than can be gained: Everyone isn’t built for infamy or fame. How you introduce yourself to people is what they will hold you to for life. I can’t do this anymore, I’m too emotionally invested due to Chris. I was concerned about him throughout this mess. He’s been open about something I struggle with as well. I used this fandom as a unknowingly as a distraction especially during 2020, but due to my depression and anxiety getting increasingly worse, each new thing hits me as though I personally know this man and that’s not good.

I legit woke up with a depressive episode the morning of his so called page six wedding announcement and that didn’t happen until Sunday evening, but it damn sure didn’t help my ass.

I battle suicidal thoughts (not over this shit) and feel alone in my own crap, so I can’t deal with whatever the fuck this is. It’s too much. I fight for my life each and everyday and I can’t waste it wondering if a multi millionaire may or may not be willing or unwilling in a pr stunt or married to a racist for real. I’m black and deal with enough as it is. I hate myself for getting invested in this man. I mess up trying to see good in people I actually know and I mistakenly applied that to him. I fell into the celebrity bs that consumes society and feel like an idiot for it.

So yeah it’s a big world out there, the fandom is 1% of that. Focus on seeing this from the angle of the billions of strangers who might or might not give a shit about Chris Evans outside of Captain America.

To the world He’s married and to a woman from Portugal. If it’s revealed to be Pr, he’ll be known as the Chris who lied about being married.

Someone mentioned how his costars are problematic too and that doesn’t help because that just aligns that he would bypass the racism and still marry her, but idk.

There’s no winning here unless this is revealed as PR and CAA was using him for money gain or something, and if he finds a great team who knows how to do clean up. Acknowledges his part in this but that won’t happen. He’s a Hollywood star who has people paid to clean up in the worse way for him and her now.

I wish Chris the best but if this is indeed legit…..fuck him. Idc 🤷🏾‍♀️

hi, hello, how have you been?

if you’ve been following along on the chaotic journey of me writing this book, you probably already know that i finished this book a few days back. hence proven, i am feeling an unimaginably complex blend of emotions that i can’t comprehend on my own. however, i think it’s safe to say that at the core of it all, deep in my heart, i feel a true sense of joy and accomplishment. to say the very least, i am proud.

this is not a book-ending update, though. that’ll be the one that comes after this, hopefully in a few days. but here we go, a few excerpts from a few chapters from one of my many books. hope you enjoy!

chapter six – flock and soil

the first quarter of this chapter is happy, the second is emotional, and the last two are extremely sad. i have three excerpts to share, without any context, of course.

But it had actually started a long time back, when we met for the first time and I heard the lullabies being sung beneath his eyes. The flowers that had bloomed between us today had budded long ago, even before time had been created, and the plants had taken root in my stomach before anything ever was. I had been lured into the melody of his voice; the simple way his bones were placed inside his body. It had all started long back when I looked at him and he looked back at me. It started with the exchange of sight; when my eyes wanted to see him more than they wanted to see anything. It had all started a long time back, but now, we had a body to give it. We had something we could touch and call our own. We had skin and we had bones.

this is dinah talking about austin. believe it or not, i am not that cruel. she gets her share of happy and truly romantic moments, i promise!

the second excerpt is a conversation between dinah and ephron. i wanted to show you a moment of theirs that’s not too intense (which is rare, but not non-existent).

“Where were you?” he asked. “I was worried about you. And why do your eyes look like that? Were you drinking?”

“Ooh, calm down with the questions,” I said. “I went to meet some friends at a house party. Yes, we did drink a little bit. My eyes are fine.”

“They’re the size of golf balls!”

i’ve got nothing to say about the third excerpt. it is what it is.

I looked back in the mirror. My cheekbones and nose had been lifted in a copper glow, a beet blush spreading through my cheeks. There was a cosmic glimmer in my eyes. The sound of conch shells murmured in my ear. My heart had turned into a lighthouse at the base of which a thousand waves beat and crashed against each other. It beat with a swell, milk and honey oozing out. Somewhere in the middle of the ocean, the night would soon crawl into a fisherman’s boat and sing him to sleep, but here, every bone in my body would twist to the sun, bringing forth a morning with flowers, nectar, and birdsong.

written from mariam’s perspective, this vignette is a conversation in which only one person speaks – the mother.

When the world comes to an end, baby, we will be back together. The skies will be beautiful and I’ll feed you balls of rice. I will hold you close to me. I will not let you go. I will show you butterflies and bring your hand to dog fur. You will put your fingers in my hair and I will stick little leaves in yours. I will buy you a watercolour kit. I will take you to the supermarket. I will buy you all the cookies in the aisle. I will make you payasam when you ask for it. When the day ends and the night falls, I will hold you close and draw a cross on your head. I will sing you a song.

KINKU 禁区 WITH GOJO'S POV

Why is Gojo's Pov in Kinku song?

1. The theory behind the Kinku is the Kita Wing (North Wing, if Gojo chooses the North) and now I write how Gojo feels towards Utahime based on the Kinku song. 

2. Utahime's CT is (単独禁区) Solo Forbidden Area which temporarily amplifies the cursed energy of any willing sorcerer within range and Akina's lyrics, the character decided to enter the forbidden area "そろそろ禁区" (Approaching the Forbidden Area). It means Gojo will enter "Forbidden Area".  Utahime is a "Solo Forbidden Area" and Gojo is "Solo" will enter Utahime. 

Feeling of Go -> Uta. This is the Gojo's Pov. 

1. 私からサヨナラしなければ 

この恋は終わらないのね

(If I don’t tell you goodbye

This love won’t end, will it?)

In the scene before fighting Sukuna, Gojo considers talking about breaking up with Utahime but he doesn't want to talk. If he speaks then his love will end.

恋: Refers to romantic love during the falling in love stage and can also refer to unrequited love.

Gojo's feelings at this time are love oriented towards desire, a love that has expectations from Utahime. 

2. ずるいひと 大人の手口ね 

ため息ひとつ また催眠(わな)かける

(Not fair of you… A grown-up’s play

A single sigh and you captivate me yet again)

Gojo blames Utahime for using adult habits so that he could not leave her. 

3. ときめきが理性(こころ)に 目隠しする

これ以上進んだら 自信がないわ

(My fluttering heart blindfolds my sense of reason

If this goes on any longer, I’ll lose all confidence)

Gojo's heart blindsided his rational side. If his feelings go deeper, he won't be able to be confident anymore. 

4. 戻りたい 戻れない 気持うらはら

とまどいは もう愛ね 

(Want to go back, can��t go back. I feel one way and do another

This confusion is love, isn’t it?)

He wanted to turn away but still couldn't because his heart was deeply in love with Utahime. He feels confused because his feelings for Utahime have changed. 

恋 has changed to 愛: a deep and intense love, willing to do everything for that person.

5. そろそろ禁区

(Soon I’ll be in the forbidden zone)

It's time for Gojo to enter the forbidden area.  Marking his risk and acceptance of this love for Utahime.

6. あそびなら まだましよ 救われるから

(If this is just a game to you, that’s still better than nothing to me)

Gojo accepted that if Utahime saw it as a game between him and her, he still felt it was better than nothing.

7. 他のひと愛せれば いいのだけれど

それはちょっとできない相談ね

(I should love someone else

But that’s advice I just can’t take)

He feels like he shouldn't love Utahime but he can't accept that either. 

8. 理由もなく引かれてた陰りさえ

今なら意味も分かるわ

(I even found myself drawn to your shadow for no good reason

Now, I understand why)

He had been following Utahime for a long time but he still didn't know the reason and when about to break up, he knew because he love her. 

9.「このあたり潮時...」とあなたは

(You must be thinking, “Now’s the perfect time”

Utahime thought it was the right time (time to break up) but her attitude was different.

10. 謎めいた微笑み 惑わされて

振り向けば帰り道 黄昏れの中

I turn around and see the way home at twilight)

Utahime's mysterious smile confused Gojo.  Faced with her attitude of breaking up, he went home under the sad sunset. 

11. 「平凡な愛でいい...」心うらはら

(“I’d love an ordinary love…” My heart says one thing and does another) 

Gojo hopes for a normal love with Utahime but he still can't and will move deeper into the forbidden zone. His coming fight. 

12. 危険な気なあなたしか もう愛せない

(You in all your danger are the only thing I can love anymore)

Gojo calls Utahime a dangerous person that only he can love. Someone who can intimidate him and make him feel dangerous.

13. 口唇でふさがれた 胸がつぶやく

私からサヨナラを 言わせるつもり

それはちょっとできない相談ね

(My heart, stopped with your lips, whispers

You plan on making me tell you goodbye…

But that’s advice I just can’t take) ... END

Gojo's heart stopped beating along with Utahime's lips, it whispers want to say goodbye but that was something he couldn't follow.

He was confused but couldn't turn back. He moves deeper in love with Utahime and is ready to enter the forbidden area.

The scene takes place before Gojo's match with Sukuna. He was planning to say goodbye to Utahime but he couldn't because he didn't want his love for her to end. At Utahime's attitude, the person who made him realize it was time to break up and this love for her has change. He gets it and is ready to step into the forbidden area to fight.

Gojo didn't understand love at first, but he still had "恋" in his heart. When come the time to break up, his love was changed into 愛.

i saw my dude @sodom-hussein (hi i like your blog so much it is good and so fun and keeps me scrolling) RB this post that was like “I compared today to 1930s germany and the results aren’t good”

and then OP proceeds to just make a bunch of very vague and unmeasurable statements like

‘we are about to die horribly in concentration camps because

antisemitism is increasing

LGBT discrimination is increasing

ableism is increasing

indigenous people are continually threatened etc etc’

The post doesn’t have any facts or information to back any of these claims as true, but it doesn’t need it. because it’s using the same kind of rhetoric that Fox News uses with its users. Fox News doesn’t have to prove something is true if it *feels* true.

and firstly if you go find the post and compare it to my wording of that first statement, you’ll see that i’m sensationalizing a little bit

and secondly, i have love for OP and i have love Sodom-hussein both because i am confident they only want to inform with the goal of changing our world for the better.

BUT I believe that these kinds of posts are not helpful, and while my wording was sensationalizing it wasn’t doing so all that much because of what the post is implying. The post’s intent it seems is to strike fear and terror into the hearts of those most vulnerable in society.

So if you are still reading I would like to use a bit of bad news to maybe ease the fears that many of us are having about the state of our world. Let me explain:

There exists a theory of social organization called Social Dominance Theory which was constructed by Jim Sidanius (oh my god i just found out he died in 2021 ☹️ what a legend) and Felicia Pratto. These two psychologists took behavioral sciences and combined them with historical record of societal hegemony to explain why and how humans seem to organize our societies unfairly.

I won’t go into the minutiae of the theory, but my main point of bringing it into this conversation is that according to their writings, when humans define categories on which to base discrimination (such as race, sexual orientation, cultural/religious identity, etc) these categories remain as subjugated for VERY VERY long periods of time.

This part is the bad news but stay with me.

What i mean to say is that as a gay man, I will probably always be discriminated against in our society. That is just the way these things seem to play out. Now, within my particular place in society things may improve or worsen. But there isn’t really any realistic hope of full liberation. And apparently, also according to social dominance theory, even if gay people WERE to be liberated, a new arbitrary category of discrimination would just take its place.

So how can we use this information to cope with our world?

Well the reality is that you may need time to grieve this truth. But once you are done grieving, you can look at our world and realize that nothing is changing. Everything is staying the exact same.

Just yesterday youtuber Matt Baume released a video about Ellen coming out on TV and it was literally all the same shit as what we’re hearing now. Conservatives feigning disgust and fear for what it means to acknowledge the existence of lesbians. Censorship. Blah blah blah. That was 25 years ago but it could easily be today.

So when you are able to accept that society has fixed you at a disadvantage that is permanent, you are more immune to the kind of brain-numbing effects of fear and terror.

And that’s what I really want you all to do.

I want you to Think Critically. I want you to Think Clearly. And when you’re scared shitless you can’t think at your max capacity.

Because yeah I mean shit is scary. But panicking isn’t going to help anyone. It’s just going to ruin your mood and make it harder for us to organize.

hello, it’s great to hear from you again!!

[disclaimer, I’m about to go on a rant about general social communication, so I gotta preface all this with When I say “opinion” I mean harmless personal or media-related opinion. Not political stuff.]

Listen. Ok. Listen to me for a quick second. I’m a communications major so I gotta infodump on you real quick.

In communication studies, there’s a concept called the “spiral of silence” theory. It states that people will tend to withhold opinions that they consider “unpopular” out of fear of social ostracism. Because of this, the most popular opinions gain popularity, while unpopular opinions die out and disappear.

This doesn’t mean that there isn’t a sizable amount of people who hold the unpopular opinions, it just means that they aren’t discussed properly. Everyone enters conversations with these secret biases and thoughts, which contribute to their viewpoint.

It would be easier for everyone if people were able to mention their unpopular views right from the start, so we could all be on the same page and understand where people are coming from with their viewpoints. It shouldn’t be taboo to like something others hate, or to dislike something others love.

But there’s nothing to be done about it. It’s a social and psychological principal that most people tend to avoid social ostracism. Key word “most”.

The standard counter for the spiral of silence theory is that there will always be people who, for whatever reason, are immune to it. Either because in that given moment they consider it okay or safe to say what they’re thinking, or because they’re a public figure who trusts their fans will support them no matter what (think of celebrities talking about weird food combinations they enjoy, which an average middle school girl would be mocked and bullied if she were caught eating), or because they have nothing to lose.

In my case it’s the latter— it won’t have any effect on my life if tumblr thinks my opinions suck. I don’t know if I’d have the same confidence to go to an anime conversation and say “heyyyy ya know Dazai? From hit animanga bungo stray dogs? Yeahhhh he’s kinda a jerk isn’t he?” [also that wouldn’t be the time or place to have that conversation, but that’s besides the point]

But regardless. Ya gotta start somewhere. It’s a good skill to have, to be able to break the spiral of silence. It’s very difficult to start, but once you get going with it, it’ll definitely be a great skill to have for life.

I’m so incredibly proud of you for not only finding the courage to post whatever opinions you want (it’s difficult! It’s scary!), but for also being outspoken on your thoughts irl. You may not realize it yet, but chances are some of your classmates agree with your views and are finding both comfort and courage in you being able to articulate them openly.

I finally got around to listening to the recent tson and honestly it’s uhhhhh okay? I have a bit to say about it

The shopping center seemed like it’s in the pale city, nothing specific but with what was described in the building, the mannequins in the theater ( remember the mannequins in god’s forsaken hospital level lmao 😔 ), a lot of it seemed to be taken from the 4th chapter of LN2 where we meet the viewers. I found the idea of some non child characters trying to protect kids from characters like the ferryman interesting, it’s maybe the first time we see someone who’s not a kid try to protect the main character.

The walls echoing that the brain needs someone to keep him company reminded me of the flesh walls in LN2 but this is probably not intentional, maybe just me overthinking things and connecting dots that aren’t there. Noone feeling like she was in good hands and the speaker giving her discounts was honestly nice I thought it was kinda funny. The doctor’s desperate need to learn about the ferryman kinda put me off especially when he starts kinda hurt Noone about it :/

So uhhhh the Multiverse aspect, I’ve seen some opinions about it before listening to the 3rd part so I may have had some doubt when I jumped into it but tbh I’m a little okay with the multiverse thing? I say a little because I’m a little disappointed that LN had this scary world to work with that’s become well loved among its fans and with the managerial changes they just went “ it’s another world!! “ it felt cheap. I honestly understand why Tarsier Studios kept the world/characters/lore open ended with a very heavy emphasis on show don’t tell. If they went one way they would disappoint a group of people so they decided to allow the player to decide what’s going on in their head. I do have hope that Bandai and the Writers of TSON can bring interesting ideas to the franchise but this was a little sour.

I hope it’s only 2 worlds and not a whole multiverse where The Maw and The Pale City are in one universe and the Nowhere is in another I feel that can get confusing and funnily enough less interesting to explore since Marvel and other franchises have done that concept to death ( no hate to the spider movies I love them with all my heart I just don’t think the multiverse idea fits for a franchise like little nightmares ). The places from the first two parts seemed like they could be from the same world, the point of it was the world is fucked up and you play as kids that learn how to cope with it and try to survive, that idea immediately dies when you give them the option to just.. wake up. I get that it’s literally called Little Nightmares but that name originally seemed to refer to either the kids or the monsters based on your perspective of the characters.

Maybe they’re going with the idea that at some point kids won’t be able to wake up anymore and have to scarily accept that now they’re part of the nightmare they might die in, im not sure. I’m interested on what TSON and LN3 will take the lore of the franchise, maybe it’ll get better with later installments and the Doctor’s multiverse theory is wrong but eh seems like wishful thinking. I’ll see what happens before I say anything else

This people changing their opinions of members based on what others are saying is something we're seeing for yrs especially with jikook and jm. Last year i came across a blog who recently got into jikook because they watched jungkook's live "jimin-centric" like to be specific and they thought there might be something going on, they followed other jkk bloggers and i saw them saying this how they're new this that and boom months later i found this person in jkk tag saying what not about jm as how he deserves the "critisism" he gets from shippers because of his own Actions, called him bitch in another post and I'm like????? Cause they literally started as like jm fan and months later they're calling him names? And guess why was it like this? It was because they started following Tkkrs too and they started agreeing Tkkr's theories of how the company is hiding taekook and is pushing down jikook in ppl's throat etc. I was kinda shocked even tho it wasn't anything new but still. But to each their own. If you're willingly believing things that contradict reality because you got this angsty bl drama like fantasy then what can we do about it? Mind you all of that happened after Taennie's. Paris walk and yet they're willing to believe it's the company's plan then i wish they stay in that lane and get the biggest slap in a few years. It's not about jikook being real or anything but it's them believing jikook is just pushed by the company and what not.

That does suck, but I’m not sure it’s really comparable to what frustrates me about this situation with Frankie. A fan falling into the trap of shit talking another member is pretty standard fandom shit. It’s not even specific to BTS. People get into new things and have their own opinions, but then they meet a person they want to impress who feels differently, leading them to a group of people who think differently. So then they get swept up and change their whole opinion. Or they had those ideas buried deep to begin with, and chose to let them color their entire experience within the fandom.

For example, I know for a fact I have opinions about things the members say and do that, if I went looking for antis or toxic fans who share the same opinions, could turn me into an anti or toxic fan, so not because I’d be discussing those opinions. However, seeing as I’m aware of my opinions and also aware that I do enjoy the bulk of what is being shared with us from BTS, it’s easy to just let those opinions sit in the dark. Why? Because they’re not necessary to bring into the light, because then I’d have to defend myself and my opinions as being my own and not personal attacks against the members. So it’s better to interact with people who share my joy, than with people who will misconstrue my opinions as being full fledged agreement with their hatred.

Point is, I don’t think Frankie is in the middle of having his opinions changed, because he hadn’t formed any real opinions yet. What’s happening is that he unfortunately was given info he genuinely thinks is correct, so any opinions he’s about to form will be misguided. Meaning at some point, he’s going to have to unlearn what he currently thinks are facts of the situation, and I don’t have too much hope that he will. Mainly because he seems like a genuine dude who probably won’t put up with the back and forth for very long. If he does continue to react, it might be strictly their music and music related content, and nothing to do with their personalities. Which is sad, because they have great personalities and friendships with one another. Tkkrs just hate that, so in their eyes no one else is allowed to enjoy it.

omg kay our lil theorizing group is back I'm so excited need to know what you thought of the trailer and your predictions for benvi storyline/journey, also is Aneesa coming back? Side note I have this random theory Eleanor's mom will be back

I loved the trailer so much and was like screaming the whole time. It was the very first thing I saw when I woke up this morning, (it came out at like 7 am my time) so I have been like buzzed all day!!

I have a few predictions nothing too crazy yet.

1. Devi will definitely ghost Ben after the boinking because she is freaked out about her feelings and running away from them is what she does best.

2. Ben starts to date Margo because he (1. Hasn’t heard from Devi. (2. Assumes she is still going to shrubland (is that what the school was called?). I do think they will break up rather quickly based on this still:

Ben looks super defensive and Margo looks pissed. So I feel like this will happen after the whole,

“I can’t believe you”

“I assumed it was a one time thing”

Margo will find out Ben and Devi boinked probably publicly because it’s Devi and she might make a scene. Then of course margo will be pissed about that.

3. Devi definitely dates hot new guy whose name I can’t remember purely to make Ben jealous and that won’t last long either because he is probably a dick.

4. I think they “get together” during the New York trip. Pretty confident about that.

5. They date for a few episodes before deciding to “break up before college” or something dumb like that. Then they end up going to the same college and getting together in the last episode.

6. Aneesa is definitely coming back. At least for a few episodes, I hope she is in more but idk.

7. I agree!!! I also think that Eleanor will end up getting a big fancy acting job which leads to her and tent breaking up 😭. Idk I just have a very sad feeling about it.
