BLUE EYED SAMURAI IS SO GOOD I FREAKED WHEN I SAW YOUR PFP SJFJDJJRF
I KNOW IT FUCKS TO THE MOON AND BACK it's been AGES since I've had such a raw and active watching experience I was on the edge of my seat for the entire time. The writing? Incredible. The animation? The music? The geopolitical commentary? The gender? The physicality? The details? INCREDIBLE. Mizu has never been wrong ONE minute in their life and I personally think unhinged revenge is both normal and stunning behaviour. Next question

May 20 - International Manga Museum
Today was our first full day in Kyoto! Our new hotel doesn't have a meeting space, so we met in a separate building about ten minutes away. After the daily morning meeting, we embarked on our first Kyoto excursion, the International Manga Museum. For those who have any interest in manga, this is a must-visit location. As you walk down the hallways, the walls are covered with manga. In addition, there is a room featuring the history of manga that has manga from the early 1900s to 2000s, a century of manga. In addition, there were several fun exhibits. At one of these exhibits, they had kamishibai, a form of storytelling using paper boards. Despite being primarily aimed towards kids, it can be appreciated by all audiences. The performance was funny, and it wrapped up the museum visit nicely.

Our next excursion was to Fushimi-Inari Shrine. This shrine was unique in that it showed its mirror for the public to view. Unfortunately, pictures were not allowed, so if you want to see it you'll just have to come for yourself! Another unique feature of this shrine was that you could make a wish and pick up a rock. It is said if the rock is heavier than you think your wish won't come true but it if it is lighter it will. Luckily, it was lighter than I thought it would be.

Next, we began to head up the mountain. Climbing up the mountain was pretty tiring but rewarding. The views were amazing, however, not as good as Mt. Takao. Being Fushimi-Inari, I of course got some great pictures though.

Academic Reflection
The assigned reading for today taught me about Inari. I have been to Fushimi-Inari and have seen shrines with foxes before, but I never really knew what they meant. The foxes aren't gods at all but are the messengers of the god Inari, who is said to be a more human-like figure. However, some believe that he is male, while others believe he is female. Being the god of rice, Inari is often associated with prosperity. In Japan, rice has been associated with wealth since feudal times as people exchanged it as a form of currency. For this reason, the reading points out that people of all different backgrounds worship this god.
Entering the shrine, two foxes can be seen at the large tori gate. I found it interesting how there were no depictions of Inari himself. As the reading points out, commonly confuses people into believing he is a fox. As you go up the shrine, more of these fox statues can be seen alongside the impressive tori gates. Many of the foxes were holding things. For example, one of them was holding rice, since Inari is the god of rice.

Your lover's voice, although comforting and familiar, still startled you out of your intense focus enough to make you jump in shock. Looking up at Bakugou as he stood beside you, his eyes only narrowed at your reaction to his question, only further proving to him that you had indeed been nervous. Had you really been that lost in your own thoughts that you had let your hidden worries slip? Now what should you do? You knew that he wasn’t going to let up if he felt like something wasn’t right, and much to your misfortune, he could see through your lies now without even having to try. Was there really a point anymore?
Shifting nervously in your seat, you placed the piece of parchment you had been holding down on the table in front of you, carefully smoothing it out as you had accidentally crumpled it in your shock. “What do you mean…? I seem nervous?”
“You do.” Bakugou sat down beside you, pulling the document towards him a bit to look it over. “Is it something specific about this one? Or is there something you’re trying to hide?”
Falling silent, you fiddled with your nails nervously as you avoided looking at him, trying to think of anything at all that you could say instead of the truth. How could you possibly find it within yourself to explain to him that you would be able to tell when he was going to die? That you knew the exact circumstances that led to the entire clan being wiped from history? It was already difficult enough for that burden to be kept on your shoulders, so you knew that pushing it onto him would only increase the weight of your guilt.
Yet, at the same time, you wanted to tell him. You wanted him to know, so that maybe you could work together to change what would happen. There wasn’t a question in your mind that he wouldn’t want to try, but what if it caused him difficulty mentally? What if he completely broke down just by knowing what you did? He could overreact and jump immediately into action instead of waiting, scaring everyone and possibly getting you both banished. That was a bit of an extreme circumstance, you knew that, but you had to consider every possibility before telling him the truth.
You already had. Over the course of the past seven months you had been with him so intimately, you had thought over and over about what could happen versus what would happen if you stayed silent. If you held back what you knew, then they would die. There was no question, no other possible outcome, as it had already been written in history. You were the only thing that made a difference to this era, now. So, it had to come down to your courage to make a decision, though it was something that should have been done a long time ago.
He had to know.
Letting out a trembling breath, you turned more to face your husband, tenderly taking one of his hands in yours. “Katsuki… There is something, it’s just… It’s so hard for me to talk about.” Already, you could feel your throat constricting, your eyes beginning to tear up. “I… I’m really scared…”
Giving your hand a comforting squeeze, Bakugou was silent as he allowed you a moment to gather yourself. You could see from a momentary glance up at his face that he was both worried and intensely interested, but not at all angry or frustrated with you, which gave you the strength to continue. “I’ve been… overly observant of the things you ask me to look over because I’m… I’m looking for certain clues.”
“Clues?”
“Yes… Because I… Katsuki, there is something horrible that’s going to happen. I just don’t know when… All I know is the circumstances that led up to it. So, I’m watching out for those in hopes that I can… That I can save everyone.”
Bakugou’s brow furrowed, his head tilting to the side a bit in confusion. “‘Save everyone’? What is it you know?”
“Everyone… This clan, our friends… You. Everyone dies in one large attack… But not out on a battlefield or anything, it’s here. This entire palace is destroyed by a fire. It’s so intense that… even in my time, there isn’t a trace left of this place except for some documents that survived and the remains of the stone wall. There n-nothing… no one--” It was then that you lost control of your emotions, hiccupping as the tears escaped you. Bringing a hand up to your lips, you covered your mouth as you gave a shake of your head, feeling ashamed that you couldn’t stay strong enough to tell him without crying. “I’m sorry…”
There was silence between you for a moment with nothing but your soft hiccups displacing the air. But, when Bakugou finally spoke, it was in such a calm voice that your worries were soothed for the time being.
“[F/N]... In this time of war, everyone in this palace who is here to serve our Lord is prepared to die at any moment. We know what we are doing and the dangers that it puts us in. Even if this is something that we could stop, it would still come about a different way eventually. I’ve accepted what my fate could eventually be.” Placing his free hand tenderly against your cheek, he wiped the burning tears away with his thumb. “But you aren’t something that I had planned… I wish you would have told me sooner.”
“I just couldn’t…”
“That’s because you have a good heart. You’ve tried to carry the burden of everyone’s lives on your shoulders since you first arrived here. You don’t have to do that anymore. I’m here now. And I’ll be here until I draw my last breath. You should know damn well that you can depend on me.” Bakugou slipped his hand around to caress the back of your neck, kissing your forehead softly. “I’m your husband, now. All the worries should fall on me.”
Shifting closer to him, you rested against his side. “I couldn’t do that to you, Katsuki. We should do it together. Like we always have…”
“We will, then. When the time comes, just let me know as soon as you notice anything.”
Giving a small nod, you wiped your face of the remaining tears before gently tapping your finger against the document still sitting on the table. “Everything is good in this one… I have no input on it.”
“Good. Now that is over with, I want to take you into town.” After folding up the document, Bakugou stood, securing the paper in a cabinet. A bit confused, you stood as well, flattening out your clothing along your thighs a bit.
“Into town? What for?” You took his hand as he approached you, softly trailing your fingers along his skin until your arm was hooked with his. “Something important?”
“Ah, not necessarily, but I wanted to have you pick out something before they’re all gone.”
“‘Something’? You won’t tell me?” Narrowing your eyes at him, you leaned over a bit to try and catch his gaze, curious as to why he was keeping it a secret. “Why not?”
With a small click of his tongue, Bakugou nudged you gently with his elbow, glowering down at you in obvious annoyance of your prying. “It won’t be a surprise if I tell you!”
“You never try to surprise me, though! I’m nervous now!”
“Excuse me?! I always try to surprise you! You just find out shit before I can! I hate how you can see through me, but not this time!”
Giggling, you rested your head on his shoulder, looking out into one of the many palace gardens as you walked past. “Okay, okay! I’ll let you surprise me this time.”
The quick horse ride was pleasant, with the quiet and calming sounds of nature surrounding you. Though, even to this day, you were wary of strangers on the road, refusing to speak or hardly look at anyone that was traveling alone. Bakugou was doubly as protective as he had always been, and just his presence was enough to make people avoid the both of you as much as they could. Although you felt bad at first for making people uncomfortable, you soon grew to accept it and actually welcome the comfort his aggressive presence seemed to bring you.
Leaving Yonaka at the stables as you normally did, it was a simple walk through the busy town, going down different small roads and alleyways that you had never taken before. Before you could really question where Bakugou was taking you, he came to a stop next to a small home. You could immediately tell that it was a poorer family that resided there, and though Lord Yagi was more generous than most when it came to collecting taxes, there were still those that struggled to make an easy living.
Right as you both approached the house, the front door slid open, revealing a small child. The instant he laid eyes on Bakugou, a smile broke her face, bouncing in her spot as she called back into the house. “Mama, that man is here!”
“Oh, is he?” A frail woman approached the door, giving a deep bow as she placed her hands on her daughter's shoulders to keep her from bouncing. “My Lord, thank you for coming.”
“I said I would. You still have them?”
“Yes, of course! Please, come in.”
You were silent during the entire exchange, glancing between Bakugou and this woman curiously. For some reason, the image of a drug exchange flashed into your mind, like he was here to pick up something extremely illegal. Still, you followed him inside as Bakugou made his way in, both of you leaving your shoes at the entrance. Just like the outside, the inside of the home was worn down, and it was clear that this family all lived in this one small room. There were three futons in total, a small fire pit in the middle and a couple of pieces of furniture. You couldn’t help but feel bad for them, wishing that you could do something to help, but you had no power in that regard.
Suddenly, a small sound caught your attention. At first, you thought it was the squeaking of the tatami mats beneath your feet, until you heard it during the middle of a moment of silence. A small meow, followed by another. Somewhere in this tiny house, there were kittens, and your heart immediately lifted at the thought of tiny fuzzy babies.
A hand on your back, Bakugou led you over towards the corner of the room, where a wooden basket sat. “I saw this family trying to rehome them yesterday when I was in town. I asked them to wait until I returned with you… Pick one.”
Feeling your face flush, you squatted down beside the basket, unable to resist your smile as all the little bodies turned their attention to you. “Oh, my goodness… Hello there, little babies. Aren’t you all just so adorable!” Reaching in, you softly stroked the top of an orange kitten’s head, who instantly began to purr at your touch. As you continued to pet them as they demanded attention, you turned your gaze up to Bakugou, smiling from ear to ear. “Really, Katsuki?”
Bakugou nodded, waiting patiently beside you. “Go on. Take your time.”
If you were honest, the choice wasn’t hard. There was one particular kitten, who seemed a bit quiet compared to the rest, but was decently healthy and loved your attention. What kept you going back to them was their fur pattern and colors, which was nearly identical to your cat that you had back home. In the end, you couldn’t leave that kitten behind, and you stood with it cradled in your arms. “This one…”
With a nod, Bakugou pulled out his money pouch, looking at the woman who had welcomed you both into her home. “Here,” after digging his fingers in the pouch for a moment, he pulled forth a few coins, dropping them into the hands of the woman, who stared at the money with wide eyes. “As promised, payment for keeping them until now.”
“A-ah, My Lord, t-this is so much more than what I was expecting--!” Clutching the money to her chest, she moved to sit on her knees, bowing deeply. “Thank you for your generosity!”
“Use it well. Winter will be coming soon. [F/N],” With the sound of your name, you looked up at Bakugou, who gestured for you to follow him out of the home. As you walked past her, you took a moment to squat down next to the woman, touching her softly on the shoulder to pull her up out of her bowing position.
Smiling softly, you gave your own small bow to her. “Thank you. I truly can’t express how much this means to me.”
“M-My Lady--”
“I hope that you find good homes for the rest of them.” Standing as the woman merely went back into her bowing position, you gave a small wave to the child before leaving the home with Bakugou. Keeping the kitten close to your chest, you looked up at your husband, feeling your blush spread across your cheeks just from his gaze. “Katsuki, this is so sweet of you!”
“You’re happy?”
“Of course!” Able to hold the kitten with one arm, you hooked your other with his, resting your cheek on his shoulder. “Thank you… This is more special to me than you know.”
“How so?” Bakugou reached over with his free hand, lightly stroking the top of the kitten's head as it stayed snuggled into your clothes. You still couldn’t believe how closely this kitten looked to your lost friend, and although you didn’t want it to, it brought a sense of sadness into your excitement.
“This kitten looks just like my cat I lost back in my time… It’s uncanny. I’m just so in love already, and it makes me feel like… Like I have a little bit of that life back. At least, something that I’ve missed the most.”
“I was hoping you would feel that way. I had thought about just bringing one home with me yesterday, but I figured you’d like to pick one out instead.”
“Is there a reason?”
“Hm, well…” Bakugou looked away, as if he were embarrassed at the question. “I had wanted to get you a cat, but I just hadn’t been able to find any… And I know that you get lonely when I leave. It was damn perfect timing… I’ll be gone again starting tomorrow for a few weeks. I hope that having the kitten will help keep you company.”
Since you were in the privacy of a back alley, you used only a gentle tug to get Bakugou to stop, before pushing yourself up on your toes to kiss him softly. Bakugou was quick to return the affection, his hands resting on your hips to pull you in close. If you were in the privacy of your chambers, you could easily see the passion escalating, your love for him only further fueled by the thoughtful gesture. But, you were forced to part at the sound of people nearby, though Bakugou did finish off with a final kiss to your forehead.
“Thank you so much, Katsuki. The kitten will be perfect company.”
“Sure, [F/N]. How about we grab some of that delicious pork noodles and head on home? I’m fucking starving.”
“I’d like that, love. As long as little [Name] can have some, too.”
“Ooh, so that cat will be eating like royalty, eh? Sure, I bet some chicken would do it good.”

ML: Are They Worthy? Chapter 4: The History of the Wolf Miraculous!
Marinette walks into Master Fu’s place. “Marinette, what is wrong?” Fu asks.
Before Marinette could answer, Tikki pops out, and says “The wolf miraculous is back!”
“I see” said Master Fu. “Wayzz has informed me of such.” He pulls up the pages for the wolf miraculous and shows them to Marinette. “The wolf miraculous is a tricky one. Its properties are unlike any other miraculous.”
“How come?” Marinette asked.
“The wolf miraculous is the miraculous of doubt” said Master Fu.
“He told me as much” Marinette said.
“So. you’ve spoken to the holder of the wolf miraculous?” said Master Fu.
Marinette nodded. “He came to me when I was sleeping,” she said.
“I see. As I was saying, doubt is a powerful concept. It can be used for good or bad things. Beyyo, the kwami of doubt, decided that because his power was strong, he didn’t want anyone to have it if he didn’t agree to it himself.”
“But, aren’t other miraculous more powerful?” Marinette asked.
“Yes. Beyyo noticed this as well” said Master Fu. “He was mad with the other kwamis, who trusted the humans who possessed their miraculous. They all tried to convince him that it was alright, but Beyyo didn’t believe them. He decided to tailor his powers to testing other miraculous users to see if they were worthy to have those powers.”
“He also told me that” said Marinette. “He told me that Beyyo could sniff out other kwamis, and that he can use a special Wolf Mist to create tests in an unconscious mind.”
“Yes, those are two of its powers” said Master Fu. “But the wolf miraculous has three other things that make it different. First, a guardian doesn’t give out the wolf miraculous. Beyyo carries it with him and wanders the Earth until he finds someone who he deems worthy of holding onto it. Second, its other power allows it to force a kwami out of its miraculous. Lastly, it isn’t affected by any of the other miraculous powers. For instance, say you had to fight him. If you used your lucky charm in order to try and best him, nothing would appear.”
“Almost every power…” said Tikki.
“Um, Tikki is very mad at the wolf miraculous” said Marinette. “Could you tell me the reason?”
“Of course Marinette” said Master Fu. “One of the previous Ladybugs operated in Japan. The identity of this Ladybug was the operator of an orphanage. She would protect everyone, but one of the people attacked most often was a daimyo, or feudal lord. She would be joined by the holder of the wolf miraculous, who was the head samurai for that daimyo. The two of them were friends, and they trusted each other. However, when the daimyo died, the title was passed down to his son. The holder of the wolf miraculous didn’t believe that his son was worthy of the title, and that his younger sister would make for a better daimyo. The new daimyo refused to give up his position, so the wolf miraculous holder resigned his position and became a ronin. He and Ladybug would still fight together when needed, but they had ideological fights between what they thought was right.
Eventually, the holder of the wolf miraculous decided to kill the daimyo, so that the person who he believed should have the power would take it. He warned his friend Ladybug he was doing this. So Ladybug learned the most powerful technique among miraculous users. Before the ronin could make the final blow, Ladybug interrupted him. She challenged him to a fight. They were evenly matched. Then Ladybug decided to use the technique she learned.”
“What was the technique?” Marinette asked.
“It is a powerful, but dangerous technique” said Master Fu. “It is in the grimoire, but I will not teach it to you. Any miraculous holder can use this technique, but it is strongly advised against learning, and only meant to be learned as a last resort. Before I can explain it, do you understand?” Marinette nodded. “Good. The technique is that the miraculous user channels all of the combined power of every previous holder of that miraculous, and then unleashes it in an all-powerful attack. However, both the focus of the attack and the user die in the process.” Marinette put her hands over her mouth, and a tear fell down her cheek. “Before she did it, the ronin asked why she was protecting an incompetent fool. She answered ‘everyone deserves to be protected.’ Once the two bodies fell, everyone knew it was over. The guardians came, and just like every time before, they picked up the ladybug miraculous, but the wolf miraculous was nowhere to be found. It hadn’t been seen since then, until now.”
“Tikki, I’m so sorry” Marinette said, crying and hugging Tikki.
“It’s OK Marinette” said Tikki, hugging her friend back. “It’s not your fault.”
“I know” said Mainette through her tears. “But, had I known…”
“It’s OK” said Tikki. “There was no way you could have known. I wasn’t expecting Beyyo to show up again after so long.”
“There is a little more to the story,” said Fu. “After the altercation, the daimyo did some introspection. You see, that Ladybug also didn’t like the daimyo. And yet he saw her sacrifice her life to protect him. He decided he wasn’t worthy, and abdicated to his younger sister, saying ‘these people deserve a daimyo worth dying for. You will make an excellent daimyo.’ He then left, to never return.”
“That doesn’t make the story less sad” said Marinette.
“You are right Marinette” said Fu. “I just thought you would want to know that.”
“What if I have to fight Judgment Wolf?” Marinette asked herself.
“You were found worthy, correct?” said Master Fu.
“Yeah, but so was that Ladybug” said Marinette. “And…”
“Marinette, I know how you feel” said Master Fu. “But cast those thoughts aside for now. You need to focus on the real enemy instead of inventing a fake one.”
“Yes Master” said Marinette. “Um, Judgement Wolf knows my identity. Should I be worried?”
“I don’t think so,” said Master Fu. “Since he trusts you, he won’t reveal your identity. If he didn’t trust you, he would have taken away your miraculous and given it to someone else. The wolf miraculous is strange, but even it follows a pattern.”
“One more thing” said Marinette. “Beyyo says that he’s changed, and that this user is different. After hearing this, I don’t know how much of that is true.”
“You’re starting to have doubts of your own” said Master Fu. “Like I said, doubt isn’t evil. For instance, if Nooroo could test Hawk Moth, he wouldn’t be in the situation he’s in right now. Just be careful, and remember, if both a guardian and the holder of the wolf miraculous trust you, you have nothing to worry about.”
“Thank you Master” said Marinette. “Uh, should someone warn Cat Noir?”
“I shall send Wayzz” said Master Fu. “You should go. I’m sure you’re busy today.”
“Thank you Master” said Marinette, leaving. Once she had left, Marinette asked Tikki “Do you still want to fight Beyyo and this Judgment Wolf?”
Tikki shook her head no. “It didn’t seem like either of them wanted to fight us. It would be pointless to fight them. Not to mention disastrous.”
“I agree” Marinette said, tickling Tikki.
Earlier that day, Vlad and Adrien entered Adrien’s limo to go to Adrien’s house. “So, why did you move from Toulouse?” Adrien asked.
“Eh, you know how it is. My folks said it would benefit my modeling career” said Vlad. “Besides, how could I say no to seeing you on a regular basis?”
Adrien chuckled. “Of course. Listen, I know you, and I know how you operate. But could you please not give my friends such a hard time? You don’t have to trust them, but you don’t need to get angry with them either.”
“Relax Adrien” said Vlad. “I trust you enough to know that these people are at least decent. Well, most of them are, anyway.”
“I just don’t want a repeat of yesterday” Adrien said.
“You and me both” said Vlad.
Beyyo was moving around in Vlad’s pocket. Vlad noticed this and turned to look out the window so Adrien wouldn’t see Beyyo. “Adrien is Cat Noir” Beyyo told Vlad. Vlad nodded, and Beyyo flew back into his pocket.
Vlad decided to put his new-found information to the test. “So Adrien,” he said, “what do you think about Ladybug and Cat Noir?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t trust them as well?” said Adrien.
“Did you expect any less?” Vlad asked.
“I can’t argue with that,” said Adrien.
“That doesn’t mean I don’t want to hear your rave reviews” said Vlad.
“Very well” said Adrien. “I think they’re both great. They work together to save Paris. They make a good team.” Vlad noticed that he didn’t say anything about how cool Cat Noir was. But then again, that’s just the type of person Adrien was, and he knew it.
They arrived at the Agreste manor, and was greeted by Nathalie. “I’m sorry Adrien, but your father’s busy. Although he does give his regards to Mr. Brodeur for just moving her.e”
“Aw, tell him I said thank you,” said Vlad. “Well looks like it’s just you and me.” The two had a great time, doing all sorts of activities that Adrien’s room allowed for. Eventually, Vlad got a call. Sorry Adrien, that’s my dad. He wants me to meet the mayor this evening. It’s kind of a hassle, but whatever.”
Adrien smiled. “Do you want me to come with you?”
“Nah” said Vlad. “I’ll be fine. Even if I did want you, I’m sure your dad would object.”
“Yeah” said Adrien. “You’re probably right on that.”
“Well, seeya” said Vlad.
“Later” said Adrien. Vlad left. Adrien sprawled across his bed.
Plagg came out and said “Sometimes, I wish you’d tell more people that you’re Cat Noir. I missed out on all that fun because no one can see me.”
Adrien sat up. “We still have fun Plagg” said Adrien, handing him a piece of camembert. “I still have some time, what do you want to do?”
Before Plagg could answer, Wayzz came in “Cat Noir! You must listen” he said.
“Wayzz?” Plagg said.
“What’s going on? Is Master Fu alright?” Adrien asked, worried.
“Master Fu is fine, Adrien” said Wayzz. “But something has come up.” Wayzz explained what Master Fu and Ladybug talked about.
“So, this wolf miraculous user wants to make sure that the miraculous holders are worthy?” Wayzz nodded. “And he already tested Ladybug?”
Wayzz nodded again. “You should be ready in case he finds you” Wayzz said.
“Right, but how?” said Adrien. “If he uses his Wolf Mist when I’m asleep, I can’t be prepared for that.”
“I’m just giving you a heads up” said Wayzz. “Master Fu is certain he made the right choice by making you Cat Noir.”
“I won’t let you, or this Judgement Wolf, down!” said Adrien. Wayzz nodded and left.
Later that night, Vlad lands on the sidewalk outside his window. “I was wondering if you were actually going to test Adrien” said Beyyo.
“Being friends is one thing,” said Vlad. “Protecting an entire population is something else. You can’t be too careful.”
“I couldn’t agree more” said Beyyo.
Vlad walked a few blocks and then called out “Beyyo! Fangs Sharpen!” He transformed into Judgement Wolf. Judgement Wolf made his way back to Adrien’s house and snuck in through the window. “Ready Cat Noir?” he said.

5(inukag) and 32(kogakag)..... 😁😁😁😁😁
@oitreedeb That is one hell of a pick.
@n0vic3-4nastasia Bless you for giving me an excuse to write more inucest. I’ve never written A/B/O dynamic before but I’ll give it a shot.
What @oitreedeb and @n0vic3-4nastasia chose kind of go together and novice- asked for #1 with inucest so I decided to combine all of them in a sort of short ficlet.
@oitreedeb - *grumbles* making me write Kou/Kag. Finnee.
Here goes:
5. bad sex/sex fails (Inu/Kag), 32. Forbidden love (Kou/Kag), 1. A/B/O (inucest)
_________________________________________________________________
“Mmf! Inuyasha! What the hell are you-”
Inuyasha hastily let go.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, “Are you ok?”
Kagome huffed, blowing a stray strand of hair out of her face. “My god, Inuyasha, don’t you have like the vaguest clue – you know, how stuff… works?”
“I do,” Inuyasha protested. “Here, let me just-”
“No, no that’s ok,” Kagome said quickly. “Don’t worry about it. I mean clearly, you don’t want to.”
“I do want to,” Inuyasha tried again. “Of course I do, otherwise why would I be here in your bed-”
“You tell me,” Kagome retorted. “Why are you here? Because obviously, some parts of you don’t want to be.”
Inuyasha turned red then, and sat back, scooting away from her supine body.
Kagome raised herself onto her elbows, her shirt falling open carelessly where he’d clumsily unbuttoned the top few buttons, revealing her lacy bra barely covering her shapely breasts. Kagome noticed he didn’t even look at them once. In a corner of her mind, she wondered if he would have noticed if Kikyou had been lying here in her place.
“Because… I want to be with you,” Inuyasha replied, not meeting her eyes. “And – now it’s clear that – that I can’t.”
“Inuyasha,” Kagome said, voice becoming a little high pitched, a sinking feeling settling into her stomach. “What do you mean you can’t? If it’s a problem of – you know, performance, it happens to all guys sometimes…”
Inuyasha laughed hollowly. “No, no that’s not the problem. I – Kagome, I can’t because… because I’m an omega.”
“A- what?”
Inuyasha sighed, colour still dusting his cheeks. “It’s bad enough I’m a hanyou, and a bastard, but looks like that wasn’t enough for the universe because it decided to shit on me some more by also making me a – an omega-“
He glanced at Kagome; she still looked completely clueless. He swallowed hard. Damn, this wasn’t something he wanted to be explaining to the girl he had planned to spend the rest of her life with.
“An omega is a youkai that’s – that’s destined to be claimed by an alpha,” Inuyasha explained softly.
“Claimed?” Kagome repeated dumbly. “What is this, some feudal Japan thing? Because I’ll tell you, just because hanyou aren’t socially accepted doesn’t mean you have to-”
“This isn’t a society thing, Kagome,” Inuyasha interrupted, irrationally irritated by her defending him. “It’s my body. It’s – just the way it works. There’s not much I or anybody else can do about it.”
“You’re telling me the course of all youkai lives are predetermined from birth?” Kagome asked disbelievingly.
“No, not all,” Inuyasha said. “In fact, most youkai aren’t any of those things. They can choose who they want to be with, and who they become– ” bitterness laced Inuyasha’s voice. “But it’s not all bad for all the youkai who are born a certain way. Alphas have it made; it raises the honour of a family to have an alpha born in it. My father was one. And  –”
Inuyasha paused and with a short breath, changed the subject. “Anyway, omegas are just the opposite.”
“Ok,” Kagome said.  “So maybe if I-”
“Kagome,” Inuyasha said harshly. “You’re human. There’s nothing you can do.”
Kagome flinched, suddenly uncomfortably with the flinty look in his eyes.
“So what does that mean for you and me?” she asked softly, straightening up and beginning to button up her shirt.
Inuyasha swallowed around the sudden lump in his throat. “I –“
He lowered his head and let his bangs cover his eyes. “I can’t be with you…”
She’d been expecting the words, but they still felt like a stab to her heart. They were, after all, dashing away hopes she had been holding on to for so long.
“How long have you known?” Kagome asked, averting her eyes from his. “That you’re – you know-”
“…since I was a kid,” Inuyasha said. There was a moment of silence but Inuyasha didn’t elaborate. Kagome knew he was holding something back, but right now, the details weren’t seeming all that important.
“Why didn’t you tell me before?” she whispered. “All this time… you strung me along..”
A muscle twitching on his mouth was the only indication of Inuyasha’s pain. “There – there are no omegas or anything among humans, and I’m hanyou so I thought maybe… if I tried really hard I could-”
Kagome felt some of her anger melt away at the heartbreak in his voice.
“I never wanted to hurt you,” he whispered. “I really – I really wanted to be with you…”
Kagome made a soft despairing sound, and Inuyasha sprang to his feet; in a trice, he was at her window.
Kagome sat there dumbly on her bed. A part of her wanted to go after him, wanted to stop him from leaving like this, but she found she couldn’t move. Her body suddenly felt so heavy and she was so tired-
She knew he would have scented the tears that were gathering in her eyes. He didn’t turn around.
Kagome sat there on her childhood bed where he’d left her and finally let the tears escape.
____________________________________________________________________
Kagome debated never again returning to the feudal era. She had almost decided never to jump down that well again, when it occurred to her – her life there hadn’t been all about Inuyasha. She had friends there, friends who would be hurt if she just vanished from their lives without saying goodbye.
So she went. One more time.
She hadn’t anticipated how quickly her friends would be able to read her desolation on her face. It took them no time to notice how upset she was, and how standoffish and ruder than usual Inuyasha was and they put two and two together – they were broken up, for good.
Then there was all the consoling and the kind words, and Kagome had never before known those things could make one feel like bashing one’s head against a wall.
So she fled.
Away from Sango and Miroku and Shippou and Kaede, away from anyone who wished her well.
She didn’t know where she had ended up when she stopped at last, winded, and dropped to the grassy floor.
She didn’t cry; that’s all she had done for so long, after all. Inuyasha entered her thoughts unbidden, and she felt the tears gathering like dark clouds in her chest, but she didn’t allow them to her eyes.
Instead, she concentrated on breathing, one hand clenching in the dirt beneath her fingers. She watched a drop of sweat slide off her forehead and mix into that dirt. It vaguely occurred to her that Kikyou probably never got all gross and sweaty like this.
“Kagome.”
The sound of her name, here, in this time, out in the middle of nowhere startled her.
She looked up and her heart leapt into her chest.
“Kouga,” she said, and was surprised to find her voice raspy and small.
Alien blue eyes clouded over with concern and Kouga knelt down next to her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
Kagome looked down at her hands, and could not answer.
The wolf leader didn’t press her; instead, he came to sit cross-legged next to her on the ground.
“So what are we staring at?” he finally asked, turning to look at her after a while when the silence got oppressive.
“Are you alpha omega whatever too?” Kagome asked, without preamble.
Kouga drew back in surprise at the question. Out of the corner of her eye, Kagome saw his reaction. She knew she was being rude, but didn’t care right now. She sort of hoped she had offended the wolf, and he would leave her alone in peace. She sort of also hoped he would stay here with her and drive away some of her loneliness.
“I’m a beta,” Kouga answered, to Kagome’s surprise.
She huffed a laugh, resolutely refusing to meet his eyes. “So you can’t be with humans either, then,” she muttered.
“Why do you care?” Kouga began teasingly, but stopped when he saw she wasn’t taking the bait.
“It means I can be with alphas and omegas. I can be with whoever I want to be,” Kouga explained. “Except an omega that’s been claimed by an alpha.”
“But no humans,” Kagome added snidely.
“Humans too,” Kouga said quietly.
Kagome’s head snapped towards him. “Really?”
“Yes,” Kouga said. “Why, what’s brought this whole – mmph!”
He had to brace a hand on the ground behind him when Kagome kissed him suddenly.
Blue eyes were wide as saucers when she drew back. “Kagome-” he whispered, fingers brushing disbelievingly over his own lips.
Kagome said nothing; she just looked at him.
After a moment, Kouga leaned down and took her in his arms, lowering his head to meet their lips once more.
Kagome’s hand clutched at the fur-lined armour on the wolf’s chest, and it occurred to her that this was wrong.
Terribly, awfully wrong.
She had only just broken up with the boy who she’s planned to spend the rest of her life with. And she wasn’t the girl who did this kind of thing. She didn’t jump from one boy to the next.
She should be mourning the end of her relationship with dignity and then, only after a large number of months had passed, should she even begin to think about being in another relationship.
Kouga’s tongue entered her mouth, gently but surely, and Kagome decided she absolutely did do this kind of thing.
After all, if the first love of her life could break her heart without ever being with her, the least she could do was this.
And now, at least she had a reason to keep coming back to feudal Japan.

A/N: That was the first ‘chapter’. @n0vic3-4nastasia - the inucest will be in the next instalment.
And, surprisingly, I’m having fun writing Kou/Kag. So @oitreedeb thanks for giving me a chance to write a pairing I never would have otherwise gone for ^_^

Please Remember Me: Chapter 1
A/N: Hey guys. So this is a fanfiction that I came up with in about 2012-2013. I'd wanted to wait till it was completely finished before I uploaded anything, but it ended up taking five years. Five years to complete this thing. Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but here you go. With that, I present to you my story Please Remember Me.
Someone…
Anyone…
Please help…
It’s so dark
I can’t see
I can’t get out
I want to get out
I want to leave this place
Please get me out
I’m scared
Someone… please…
Help me
There was no light, but there was noise. Muffled, at least, some sounds were clearer than others, but they were still muffled. Aside from that, it felt rather peaceful, with the mind floating about wherever it wished. No particular thought stayed for long. Nothing was discernible from anything. No one and nothing around to disturb the fleeting sense of disembodiment from the world. No one and nothing to be bothered by…
“Ib!”
Ib’s entire being jolted awake, although her eyes were still closed.
“Ib~! Yoo hoo! Wake up, sleepyhead!”
Ib felt someone grab both her shoulders and gently nudge her around a bit.
“Mmmmm...” Ib groaned.
“Hey! Snap out of it, Dreamer.”
Ib’s eyelids slowly pried open. In front of her were piles of books ranging from topics like the American Civil War to feudal Japan to ancient Europe. Strange that they had so many pictures of paintings and sculptures… Oh, right. She remembered where she was: at the college library where she had been working on a project before dozing off. What project was that again?
“Finally awake now?”
Ib turned her head to her left, where a young woman about her age stood, arms akimbo. She wore a bright green turtleneck sweater with a long formfitting white skirt, stylish bracelets on her manicured right hand, and high-heeled black boots. Her long blonde hair was tied neatly and fashionably into a high ponytail. Her soft, side swept bangs framed her peridot green eyes, which matched her sweater. She was glaring at Ib quizzically.
“Hi, Karen.”
Ib had met Karen at the beginning of the year during orientation. Over the course of the semester, they had bonded and had become like sisters. In fact, whenever a professor needed to see Ib, all he or she had to do was find Karen, for Ib was never too far off from her friend. The same could be said for Karen.
“I take it your insomnia got the best of you?”
“… … … Mhm...”
“Oi vey…”
Karen was normally the supportive type, but Ib’s recent sleep attacks had been wearing out the both of them. Ib’s grades had begun to take a beating, and Karen was starting to lose patience. The exasperation was clear on her face.
“Well, no use lounging around. The library’s closing up soon. We’d better get going.”
Ib looked around to see Karen had been right. Aside from the janitor and the librarian’s assistants working late, it was just the two of them. Through the wide, open windows, Ib noticed the sky had begun darkening. Just how long had Ib been asleep?
“Yeah, let’s go,” Ib yawned. With Karen’s help, Ib packed up what was hers and left the building, but not without a trip to the bathroom courtesy of Karen’s insistence.
Gazing into the mirror, Ib was surprised. Her pale face looked sullen, and it didn’t help that dark circles had begun to form under her scarlet eyes. To add to the mess, her normally smooth brown hair looked like a loosely built rat’s nest. The front side, at least. Her clothes were still neat, thank goodness, but she still looked like a half-dead corpse. Thank Karen for the description.
“Let’s see now,” Karen mused aloud. Rummaging through her stylish leather purse, the blonde fished out a comb that had been buried deep within the purse’s confines. She held it up to Ib, pinkies sticking out.
“It’s alright, it hasn’t been used.”
“M’kay…”
With Ib’s absent-minded consent, Karen began to unravel Ib’s sleep-deprivation-induced mane. Ib stayed still so as to not wreck Karen’s work.
“You should’ve been a hairstylist instead of an art historian,” Ib joked. To her delight, Karen’s face, which was fixed in concentration not too long before, softened with amusement. A chuckle escaped from her throat.
“Funny. Very funny.”
“You sure it’s not just me?” Ib stuck her tongue out to the right and crossed her eyes. This time, Karen nearly doubled over, giggling like a school girl while holding a lock of Ib’s hair in one hand and the comb in the other.
“Trying to be smart mouthed, are we?” Karen asked with a smirk. Ib knew Karen wasn’t snobbish, just that her supportive nature sometimes took so much out of her, so Ib felt it was time to repay the support Karen had given her, even if it was just inserting some humor into her life.
“Okay, almost done.” Karen had finished combing Ib’s hair. With the previously unkempt almost rat’s nest now silky smooth, Karen turned her attention to Ib’s clothes. Fortunately, for her, there wasn’t much to take care of, aside from the mussed necktie. All that needed to be done was to smooth and even it out. Even then, it didn’t take long to correct its condition.
“There, now you don’t look like a walking trash heap.”
Ib chuckled. Karen was usually the sharp-tongued one, not Ib. It was funny how Karen could switch between so many different personas so quickly, and yet still be the same sister Ib had befriended. Or rather, to be more accurate, Karen was so expressive and eccentric it seemed like she had multiple personalities. If one didn’t know better, one would assume so, but, to Ib, it’s what made her such a special friend. That, and Karen was a surprisingly good listener, which is how Ib developed such deep trust in her.
“Oh, rats. We need to get going.” Ib glanced at Karen, who was checking her watch. Her expression matched the tone of her statement, and Ib saw why after checking her own watch. It was six fifty five in the afternoon, the library closed at exactly seven o’clock, and the entrance was a four minute walk from the bathrooms.
“Move it.” Karen began pushing Ib toward the door.
“On it.”
It wasn’t exactly night, but it was pretty dark. The sun was halfway set, so there wasn’t enough light to see where they were going were they to walk home. Luckily, for them, Karen drove to classes that day, and they found her car not too far from the library entrance.
“That was way too close,” Karen muttered. It had been quite obvious to Ib that Karen was having a rough week, what with a possible funeral to attend and a leech of a brother who’s recently started to drain Karen’s college funds… without her permission. Ib couldn’t blame Karen for the grouchy attitude lately, and her own sleep deprivation only added to the stress. Still… did she forget something? That nagging feeling in the back said yes.
“Did you get what Talons Lady said about the assignment?”
“Huh? Oh, right. Yes…”
Talons Lady, or better known as their professor, was widely known on campus for her freakishly long nails, hence the nickname.  Another fitting moniker for her was the oh-so-popular term “dragon lady”, considering she was quite harsh and unfair at times. Ib once saw an intern burst into tears after the professor scolded her, in front of the entire class even, for turning in a late assignment. From what Ib and Karen knew, the intern had gone through some things that just took away her time from the assignment. What they were, no one knew, but still, no one deserved to be humiliated like that. It’s no surprise that both girls agreed that that professor ought to be elsewhere besides teaching college kids.
“Got all your materials?”
“Yeah.” The nagging feeling stubbornly remained. Apparently, Karen noticed.
“You didn’t forget anything, did you?”
“Well… oh poop.” Her notebook. Ib and Karen had been in such a rush to leave before they got locked in the library that they had forgotten Ib’s red spiral in the library. Hopefully, the janitor they saw found it. They could probably stop by the next day to pick it up.
Wait, hold on. Poop…
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Karen grumbled.
“Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize to me. It’s your grade.”
Those words stung, but they were true. Without that notebook, Ib had no hope of doing her project correctly.
Project? What project?
“What are we doing again?” Ib sheepishly asked.
“The report. We’re supposed to do a report on a piece of art done by a famous artist.”
Ib pondered for a bit.
“Does it have to be a famous artist?”
“Well~, to be honest, I don’t think she’ll care so long as it’s a report done on a painting or a sculpture. Whatever you choose.”
“’Kay.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Ib went back to thinking. Her eyelids felt heavy, and they were slowly closing.
Must stay awake. If she were to fall asleep now, she’d have trouble falling asleep later that night. Then again, she’d been having a lot of problems sleeping lately. Perhaps Karen might have an idea on what’s going on.
“Karen?”
“Yeah?”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure. What?”
Here goes nothing.
“It’s about… my sleep problems.”
“Hm?”
Come on girl, breath. Let it out.
“I’ve been having weird dreams lately.”
“And?”
“Well… it’s just so weird.”
“Weird how?”
Weirder than you can imagine.
“Ah, how can I say it…?”
“Spit it out.”
Yeah, do just that.
“They feel like memories of some sort.”
“Memories?” Karen’s faced scrunched up in puzzlement.
“I feel like I’m forgetting something important, but I can’t figure out what.”
Silence.
“Go on.”
“I’ve felt that way ever since I visited that art gallery.”
“When you were nine?” Karen whistled. “That’s a long time. No wonder you’re so forgetful.”
Ib chuckled. Karen’s lips had a mischievous smile.
“And I’m not just talking about your Sleeping Beauty complex.”
Both girls laughed out loud. Even if she let her moods get the best of her at times, Karen was still the best friend Ib could ask for. She could always be counted on for a good laugh.
“So when did the dreams start? You said they were recent?”
“Mhm.” Ib still had tears in her eyes from laughing.
Silence again.
“So… when did they start?”
“Eh? Oh, about three weeks ago.”
Karen’s face scrunched again.
“Three weeks? You said your insomnia was long before that.”
“That’s what I haven’t told anyone about.”
Silence yet again.
“You’re kidding…”
“No I’m not. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since I came home from the gallery.”
The look on Karen’s face was a mixture of surprise and confusion. Her eyes were wide with shock. Suddenly, her hand reached for the gear shaft. She pulled the car over to the curb and shifted gears into parking mode. Turning to face Ib, she didn’t bother to turn off the car.
“Are you serious?!?”
Ib jumped, shocked at Karen’s sudden change in tone.
“Um…”
“You seriously haven’t had a good night’s sleep since you were nine years old?!?”
Ib shrinked back uncomfortably in her seat.
“Answer the question.” Karen was close to roaring. Ib was now cowering in her seat, too scared to answer. Karen sighed, massaging her temples.
“Honey, you need a doctor.”
“Can’t.”
“What do you mea--?”
“I’ve already tried.”
“Wha--?”
Ib sighed sadly.
“I’ve tried everything I can think of. Sleep medication, hypnotherapy, exercise. Nothing I’ve tried works.”
Karen went silent.
“And every time I’ve tried to remember, I can’t recall anything. It’s all just a big blank to me.”
“Nothing rings a bell? At all?”
“Nothing.” Ib did her best to fight back a sob. Strange, where did the sudden urge to cry come from…?
“Sorry.” Ib looked at Karen, surprised.
“Uh?”
“For snapping. I was just-- I mean no sleep since you were nine? I underestimated you, girl.”
Karen was still massaging her temples, but her face had softened. Ib swore there was a smile on Karen’s face right now.
“We’d better get back home. It’s almost--”
“Uh, Karen?”
“Yeah?”
“We’re already there.”
“What?”
When Karen stopped the car to scold Ib, she hadn’t realized they had parked right in front of their apartment complex, which also served as their dorm.
“Now I’m an airhead.”
Laughter washed over the two girls. Whatever tension was between them before had vanished and was now long forgotten. To Ib, it was welcoming.
“Let’s get this thing parked properly. Then, how ‘bout we schedule a day where we can visit that art gallery of yours.”
“Eh?” Ib still had tears in her eyes. “Wait, are you saying…?”
“You said something’s been bothering you ever since you visited that gallery. So why not nip it in the bud?”
Ib couldn’t believe her ears. Was Karen suggesting they visit the gallery to figure out Ib’s sleeping problems? Yes, if she were to go there, find out what’s wrong, then perhaps Ib could finally have a restful night. With a smile, Ib agreed.
“Then it’s settled. We’re leaving tomorrow.”
Tomorrow?
“Um, Karen, don’t we ha-- oh, right.”
Tomorrow was the beginning of winter break. They’d have at least three and a half weeks to figure out the source of Ib’s troubles before classes started again.
“Um, shouldn’t we--”
“Already done.” Karen pulled out two hotel reservations, one for her, one for Ib. Of course. Leave it to Karen to be so prepared.
“One last thing.” Karen pointed at Ib. “Try like you’ve never tried before to sleep. Alright?”
“Yes ma’am!” Ib was grinning ear to ear as she followed Karen inside.
“Maybe I’ll also find a good painting to write my report on.”
“Kill two bird with one stone, why don’t you?”
Edit: I can’t believe I nearly forgot this...

On Division
After moving from Mexico to the United States, Elena began to lose her children to the American culture. Her worst fear is that she will not be there for her children when they need her most, because she cannot learn English. Vamos a pedirle dulces a mama. Vamos. They no longer need her. Elena slowly becomes dumb. If she doesn’t lock herself in the bathroom with her English book every day, she will become deaf.
I wasn’t sure if it was because times are changing, or if the world was always so blocked off. People protest and rally for freedom in a place that claimed to already have it. After the nation had its first black president our idea of freedom was still not fulfilled. People are still divided in as many ways as water can be shaped. There will always be people who cannot adapt. There will always be people who cannot hear more than one thing.
My parents have been separated for most of my life. I have only two short memories of my mother and father together. After my dad got full custody of my sister and I, my mother would ask me the same thing. What did I do wrong? She said it for years. All throughout junior high and high school. What can I do? sorry mom. We’ve told you many times what you did. She would cry either right before we left or right when she picked us up from our dad’s. I felt awkward. Tight and strained. I wasn’t a human anymore. Instead I was outside the car looking down through the windows and sort of through the roof of the car.  I was look at myself as I stared at the floor waiting until my mother would stop crying. Eventually it would just be me in that car. My sister no longer has a relationship with our mother. My sister and mother also divided. She grew stronger than me, but she never learned to forgive.
Middle earth has always been harsh and unforgiving. Different species, races, even families clash. The One Ring is pure evil, and holds the ultimate power. Mankind easily gave in and became servants of evil. Trapped with and evil that cannot die. The Ulairi are covered in all black robes. The hoods are thick and shape the head of nothingness.
I opened the door to my Nazgul’s lair. The young adult smell no longer exists; instead there is sweat and marijuana. The shadows felt more awake, because of all the trash and bottle caps. The bedsheets were navy and mint. The air was like winter, but smelt like summer. A small clutter of medicine was in the corner. It was purchased last night says the receipt. The cough he didn’t have must still be bothering him I bet. He is lost forever now. Divided from his family and his consciousness. Lost all his power of will.
Tucson unified school district, in Arizona, had once realized that 50% of their Mexican-American students dropped out of school. They attempted to fix this by implementing ethnic studies classes. There was a huge improvement, and about 90% of the students enrolled in these classes graduated high school. Imagine being a student, and no longer feeling like your school system was trying to get you to drop out. In ethnic studies, students learn about their culture and others. Teaching values that allow unity between different cultures and idea.            The statistics were showing that marijuana was good for people and their health. It was legal and seemed like everyone was smoking it, even if they were under aged. I never had a problem with it. I never smoked. I had responsible friends who were going to college and always had better grades than me who drank and smoked, so why would it be such a big deal?
My Nazgul has had issues growing up, but he was the only one with substance abuse problems. His younger brother was doing good in school and even took harder classes. I spent the night at my grandparents one night. I couldn’t sleep. The alarm clock read 3:13 in black letters with a slimy green glow. The light was bright enough to hurt my eyes after I lowered the blanket from shielding my eyes. I heard the basement door shut. I could hear my grandma’s chanclas smack against her feet as she walked outside. I looked out the window and thought the same thing as I always do, why is the sky so bright even in the middle of the night? It was summer. And I was afraid of lights, because I knew I wasn’t going to sleep. I need darkness in my life, so I can rest.
The sun was hot on my way to school. I dressed accordingly. The cool air came in and caused a storm which brought rain and wind. I was soaked walking home. If it is nature for opposites to fight and cause destruction, then it makes sense for humans to do the same.
During the industrial era, feudal Japan wanted to become a more civilized nation and become a strong and united nation like many western countries. The Japanese Empire fought against smaller territories. When one battle was won, the rest of the losing side would accept their defeat and kill themselves, but Tom Cruise kept fighting. Accepting defeat was not part of his American culture. He learned more about his opposition while in captivity. He was one of the last samurai. The Last Samurai holds the bridge somewhere. What can bring one side and connect it to the other? Whatever it is, war is part of it.
It was in the late 2000′s when I played hockey against the Canadians. Tacoma versus Vancouver. We fought hard for 90 minutes. The temperature was freezing for obvious reasons. But our bodies were creating so much friction that we couldn’t keep cool. I had sweat that stung my eyeball like salty peppers. I sat on the bench for the first time in 15 minutes of nonstop moving. I saw the twinkling white lights as everything started to dim. One streak of lighting across my eyes after another until finally it stopped, and the world became bright again. This was just a game, but sticks were still broken. Skates sliced the slippery ice. Whistles blown and cracked like a whip. We even hunched over after our stomachs where smashed by a big hit. All this was for fun, but we fought only because we were on different teams. We shook hands and said good game afterwards, but we never shake hands before we battle.
Even my younger cousin started feeling the quake of my Nazgul’s dysfunction. The Nazgul isn’t a bad person, it’s just that he trapped himself in this disassociated state, and now my younger cousin has to live amongst the hate and separation within his household. My cousin is having a harder time in school now. He is physically sick because of mental stress. Our battles hurt everyone not just ourselves.
The Tucson districts abolished its ethnic studies classes because it divided children by their race. In class they read books based off communism that had ideals written by dictators and fascists. The children were taught that the American history was filled with bloodshed and hatred of other cultures. The politicians who helped ban these classes never even attended a class. And the one time they did, they did not listen to the positive and look for every opportunity to bring it down. The film Precious Knowledge was released in 2011 to inform people about the struggle in Arizona, and how media can totally manipulate what is true. Many other school districts followed the message and make their own ethnic studies classes to help educate kids, and even made it a required class. However, it wasn’t until August 2017 that the law was deemed unconstitutional by the supreme court and the Tucson unified school district was free to hold ethnic studies courses.
My grandma saw it one way and one way only. Weed is a drug and drugs are bad. They are a terrible way to “have fun” and will lead to worse drugs. Alcohol is bad. For the Nazgul at least. He cannot handle it, and everyone can see. But maybe she was right. As of now she is right. Evil cannot die. He is forever a servant of the dark lord.
He believes that everything is someone else’s fault. He is in jail because we won’t bail him out. He believes that he doesn’t have to pay if he steals. He believes that downing cough syrup won’t have a bad consequence. Maybe he should fight the people who keep giving him more chances to make bigger mistakes, because it’s their fault for letting him out of that cell.
People will always have a different stand on a subject. The good thing about conformity and socialization is that there is less conflict when everything is the same. The bad thing is that those who are different are viewed as sickly and handicap. An open mind helps people stay free. An open mind helps people work together. The reason we teach art majors calculus is because math helps with problem solving. People need to adapt and build bridges and roads. The only divider would ideally be something that connects those two things together.            The Ethnic/ Raza students at Tucson high were dangerous to some people. Those people did not want Latinos to be educated. They wanted to keep using second grade students of color data to know how many prisons they’ll need in the future. What makes a person want to shut down a program meant for all ethnicities and for all students? Why would a person think that students graduating school and enjoying education was a bad thing? The division of power was being threatened. New ideas where not accepted because order keeps us alive. We do not know what will happen if there is change.
I learned that I cannot expect anything to change unless I was willing to lose something. I did not know what was going to happen to me when I started working at panda express. I could have worked at a company where I got money and never built any relationships with anyone and played the game safe. Instead I gave up my comfort and I was placed a workspace with people who cared about me. I gained confidence and could speak. I will volunteer to speak with younger people and hopefully they will be better than me. I can become a leader now.
I have been to a counselor before. The first few times it was required by law, because of my parents. The next time was because I wanted to. I wish I was diagnosed with something just so I had an excuse for being how I am, but I was never tested or went in for something like that. I looked up my problems on my own. I am not what people call antisocial, because that would mean I have no morals and I act against society and its laws. I am not avoidant because I do not like to be in my room by myself. I prefer to be with others, although I do act awkwardly at times and fear rejection. Maybe I just have rubatosis. I can always feel my heart. I ask around and everyone says they feel their heart too and it’s normal. But they don’t know what i’s like I’m sure.

OK, Dangan Ronpa V3: Chapter 3: begin!
Last time, Kirumi turned out to be the killer, and also the Prime Minister of Japan despite being a high schooler, and then she tried to escape being executed. Monokuma used her attempted escape as the execution stage, and she died, and Monosuke was destroyed as well. Afterwards, Gonta couldn’t find any familiar constellations in the sky, meaning that the Ultimates are not in Japan. Then Kokichi revealed that Maki was not the Ultimate Child Caregiver, but the Ultimate Assassin. In doing so, he revealed having known her true talent the entire time, which isn’t gonna help with his already extremely low trustworthiness factor. Between that and the revelations about Maki that he told us, the game won’t be boring, which is good for him, and bad for us.
I wonder if we’ll find another grafitti thing? Something to give us more clues than just “horse a”.
The chapter opens up with a look at what I assume is the disaster that wipes out Japan, destroying Kirumi’s nation and killing Kaito’s grandparents in the process.
A meteor.  A meteor shower that is destroying cities…and the meteor itself, if it impacts, will likely spell The End. The apocalypse. RIP humanity.
The government is urging citizens to get to shelters in subway stations. Will that really work?
Then, whoever is watching the news turns off the TV.
How could this happen? Is Monokuma really so godlike as to summon a meteor? What is this Final Fantasy VII bullshit?
“Chapter 3: Transfer Student From Beyond The Grave”
Are we gonna learn about Rantaro in this chapter, or…I dunno…
The day after the 2nd class trial, everyone is going to Maki’s lab. Guess she doesn’t have a reason to keep people from entering anymore…
Weapons. Weapons everywhere. Enough weapons to easily prove that Kokichi is telling the truth.
Shuichi guesses that Kokichi found out from the motive video…which is where Ryoma must have found out. But no. It’s like Kokichi said before, he knew from the start.
Maki hid her identity, stayed under cover…was it so she could kill us? I don’t think so. Like Keebo says, she’s had plenty of chances so far, and has taken none of them.
Maki is in her dorm room, with the door locked.
Himiko volunteers Gonta to grab Maki and lock her up somewhere…presumably somewhere she doesn’t have the key to, unlike her dorm. Tenko volunteers as well. Better to sneak attack her before she can sneak attack us.
Kaito says he’ll do something about the situation, and Kokichi promptly leaves all responsibility to him, then insults Gonta. And then Monokuma shows up, claiming time is of the essence. The prize for clearing the class trial…is not here. The Kubs have it. Monokuma calls for them a few times, to no avail.
And then they show up. They’re so cute, Monokuma’s gonna go bald from looking at them. Sure enough, several patches of his exterior fall off, as does his right eye. Monodam continues to not hand out the prize. Monokuma is confused, and also is no longer damaged at all.
Monodam says the Kubs are not Monokuma’s slaves. Is he really gonna try and overthrow Monokuma?
Yup. Monodam says he’ll be calling the shots now. The other Monokubs are following him. Getting nervous, Monokuma?
Monokuma drops the nervous act and tries to re-assert his authority. That’s when the Monokubs invite in some guests. The Exisals all show up…this mutiny is real.
That WAS something I’d thought about, yeah…whether Monokuma could pilot Monokid and now Monosuke’s exisals. Apparently not.
I wonder if Monodam has any particular feelings on whether the killing game should go on or not?
Monokuma freaks out, and goes bald again. But he doesn’t seem to be changing back this time…
Monodam did bring the prize! He just wasn’t gonna give it over under Monokuma’s orders, I guess.
A Golden Hammer, Magic Key, and Ninja Scroll. Well I know where the key and scroll go…where does the hammer go?
Monodam is enforcing getting along. The killing games must be at a pause. A temporary one, obviously, but oh well.
Another flashback light? Nice.
Kokichi dislikes the Kubs, and robots in general. Keebo is understandably unhappy about this remark.
Monokuma is weirdly inert…is he broken?
Let’s leave the Ultimate Assassin’s Lab, then.
Angie is creepy. Gonta still sees a tiny bug out of the corner of his eye sometimes, but it’s never there when he looks.
Tsumugi is still trying to process all of yesterday’s BS…Ryoma dying, Kirumi being the Prime Minister, Maki being an assassin.
Kiyo is being exceedingly creepy about the whole Kirumi situation. Well done, Kiyo, I guess.
Using the key on the drawing of a door makes the wall collapse. Beyond is…the fourth floor of the school.
Tsumugi is worried about whether the 4th floor is dangerous. Gonta will protect everyone! Tsumugi compares him to Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, confusing the poor guy. They go up the stairs, and we follow.
The music changed, and…uh…what the fuck is this?
The Monokubs briefly show up. Monophanie says a brutal murder took place here, but that it was fictional.
Tsumugi thinks this floor doesn’t feel like a school at all. Rather, it’s like a separate building.
How expensive was this place to build? Why would Monokuma bring us here to cultivate our talents, but also to kill each other?
Gonta does not like this place. There’s a stain on the wall that’s way too close to blood for comfort…Tsumugi thinks Monokuma created this creepy effect and the “bloodstain” isn’t real. The creepiness of this place feels almost hammy.
Three empty rooms, huh? Left one first.
It’s dimly lit by two wall torches and completely empty. No windows or anything…if the candle goes out, complete darkness. The floorboards aren’t nailed down, either. And there’s a hole in one corner of the room.
According to Gonta, the other two rooms are exactly like this. Except the center room has a hidden Monokuma! Wait, how do I get it? I can’t turn around. Um…maybe it isn’t a hidden Monokuma? I dunno.
Then there’s this big weird room…ah, it’s Kiyo’s Lab.
There’s a book about a the “fabled Caged Dog village”, which had been destroyed long ago. There’s also a statue of a dog standing on a cage. The village was known for harboring dark powers and spell, so a feudal lord destroyed it. The only survivor was a girl who wrote down her experience…this is her book, then. It’s rumored that the dark arts and spells of this book are extremely potent…I bet Himiko would love this.
A book soaked in the essence of the surviving girl’s grudge against the feudal lord…this is weird. Let’s move on.
A rusted golden katana is in another case. It looks like it’s still sharp…best watch out, then. It might be the next weapon.
Oh it isn’t made of gold. It’s just gold leaf. I was gonna say gold paint, but no, that’s in the original Dangan Ronpa.
Kiyo starts to explain the historical significance of the katana, before Kokichi runs over to look at it. When did he even get in here? He grabs the katana, despite Kiyo’s warnings, and unsheathes it.
After Kokichi decides it’s a potential murder weapon, Kiyo threatens him and Kokichi gives the katana back after sheathing it.
The gold plating flakes off of it and sticks to his hand. Well ain’t that familiar…
Kiyo threatens Kokichi some more, then asks if Shuichi wishes to converse with the dead. The Caged Dog Village had many rituals. Such as…seances. The Caged Child is the name of this ritual, and it is performed using the dog statue and the cage. Kiyo wasn’t even sure of it’s existence until now…but now that he knows for sure that the artifact is real, he wants to try using it. Shuichi does not want anything to do with the occult. He doesn’t believe it’s real, and anyways, he has nothing to say to the dead right now. Maybe, at some point in the future, if everyone escapes and everyone is alive and friends…maybe then he will have something to say to Kaede…other than that, no interest.
Kiyo says that the dead should only be called on at the right time, anyways. Hmmm.
There’s two doors here. Back into the hall, to…
Um, what the fuck is this. The floor’s all red, and there’s strange designs and patterns on the wall…there’s a little shrine in the hallway too, with a blank hanging scroll. Next chapter, we’ll no doubt get an ink quill for surviving the trial, and it’ll open a new path.
There’s a weird rainbow door here, too. Judging by the minimap symbol, it’s Angie’s lab. The back door is locked, so let’s go through the front door.
The front door is locked too. Angie’s lab isn’t accessible yet? Weird.
Kokichi arrives to claim to have a secret technique to open the door. Before he can pick the lock or whatever, the door unlocks. Was Angie already inside? No wait, the Ultimate labs don’t have locks in the first place.
And yet, here is clearly Angie, having just unlocked the door.
Yeah, Shuichi also thinks it’s weird that this lab can be locked, and no other lab can.
The Monokubs show up. Monotaro argues with Monophanie, then starts to freak out when he realizes Monodam is judging him. Sorry dude, you are very likely to be the next Monokub to die.
The reason the lab is locked is because Angie needs to be alone to concentrate and channel Atua.
It’s weird that the Monokubs knew that in advance, though. They also got her favorite art supplies and sculpting tools. Hmmm.
Monodam claims to know everything about everyone here, and that Monokuma and Monodam’s fellow Kubs also do. But he says he’s gonna be friends with everyone, and that’s why he’s using this knowledge.
Kokichi does not like Monodam. He’s probably the only one here who still wants killing’s to happen too. I’m keeping an eye on you, Kokichi.
There’s only one key to this room. Monodam eats the key, so that no one can use it for murder. OK, that just happened. His fellow Kubs cart him off after he starts to look ill.
Monokuma once claimed that the school was specifically made for the 16 (at the time) Ultimates here. Angie’s lab isn’t a generic art lab…it’s a lab specifically for Angie. That points to Monokuma having told the truth that time…
There’s exposed beams on the ceiling. Kokichi wonders if it’s supposed to be like that, or if it wasn’t finished in time for this place to open up?
There’s hammers, chisels, wax…apparently death masks used to be made of wax.
The rear door has a sliding lock, but the front door has a knob and cylinder lock. According to Angie, it’s a good representation of cultural differences. Western art emphasizes symmetry, but Angie prefers asymmetry and partition functions. We can’t leave through this door, so we have to use the front door.
That’s all we can do on the fourth floor for now.
If we try to enter Ryoma’s lab, we get Shuichi musing on how Ryoma couldn’t make the other Ultimates his reason to live.
Same with Kirumi’s lab. I can’t get into Kaede’s lab either, so maybe we can investigate them in Free Time. The game also won’t let us into the basement, so there’s nothing there to use these items on. The Othello door is still locked…I guess we’ll search outside.
The Exisals are renovating the place still, but a lot of the plant matter has been cleaned up. It’s becoming more beautiful…just like Himiko is, according to herself. Himiko blushes over her own compliment to herself. Also, the reason she always has the same expression on her face is because it’d be a pain to make a new expression every time something happens.
She was standing here with Tenko, but they walk off, letting us explore more.
In the courtyard, near the ninja statue that we’re gonna use the scroll on, Tenko is ruminating on how she said she was sick of the killing game after the trial ended. She still is sick of it, but she no longer wants to stay trapped here – rather, she wants to escape with everyone! With Himiko beside her, she will fight to carry on Kaede and Kirumi’s wishes. And Rantaro’s wishes too, even though he’s a guy, because might as well. And Ryoma’s, but he had no wishes to speak of, so that’s a dead-end there.
Himiko is still upset that people think she escaped the water tank through usage of a mundane escape hatch rather than magic. Yeah, sure. Let’s hope she doesn’t get a hold of Kiyo’s Caged Dog Book, though.
Himiko is also upset that her show did the exact opposite of make people happy. Not your fault, Himiko! Also, she used a lot of MP escaping, and therefore had no mana left to kill the piranhas with, which would have at least preserved Ryoma’s body.
Ninja statue! I still have no idea where the hammer leads to or what to use it on.
Putting the scroll in the ninja fox’s hand makes a building rise out of the ground…with “Welcome!!!” on it. Tenko instantly recognizes it as a dojo. Well if that’s anyone Ultimate Lab, it’d be yours I guess.
What kind of technology made the building rise up like that, rising from the ground like a popup picture book? Himiko claims it was her magic. Yeah, yeah, sure. Nothing to do with that scroll at all.
Himiko is super excited to investigate the dojo! She invites Shuichi and Himiko inside, but also says she’d be happier if Shuichi declined, since he’s a degenerate male. Too bad, I’m a detective, I NEED to investigate strange places.
Investigating the building has Tenko recognize it as what must be her Ultimate Research Lab. She goes inside. Himiko doesn’t care, but Tenko pushes her in anyways.
It is indeed Tenko’s lab. There’s suspended scaffolding, so that’d be useful for filiming a kung-fu movie. There’s a giant wooden doll in the back, which Shuichi thinks is a totem of some sort. I bet it’s a training dummy.
Himiko is uncomfortable in a place so lacking in mana. Physical attacks are not her forte, magical ones are.
Tenk’s mad that Shuichi entered her lab despite being male, but also super excited to have her own lab! Sparring here will be great!
When Shuichi points out that she has no sparring partner, she grabs him, and tosses him over her head to the mat below. Looks like you’re her sparring partner for a bit…don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll be over soon, once you DIE!
As Shuichi gets up and brushes himself off, Tenko brings up something out of left field. Shuichi doesn’t have a lot of confidence in himself. It’s true. He promised Kaede to be confident in himself, but hasn’t fulfilled that promise on anything more than a superficial level. Tenko says that since Shuichi lacks self-esteem, he doubts his own strength. He’s become more confident than he was when he first came here, but he still questions himself. It’s all true, though I doubt Neo-Aikido will solve his problems.
Neo Aikido, a Japanese martial art that treasures a pure heart above all else…
With Himiko’s magic and Tenko’s strength, they could pack a wallop. Himiko immediately decides that training to do such a thing sounds like a pain. Tenko responds by flipping her over and throwing her to the floor. Are you gonna do that to everyone who comes in here? Tenko diagnoses Himiko as too shy to show her emotions. I think her being too lazy sounds closer to right.
Tenko challenges Himiko to train with her. And afterwards they can hit the showers together. Your heart isn’t quite as pure as you think, Tenko…
Himiko hurt her back, being thrown like that. She is very angry at Tenko. Soon, Tenko will be able to enjoy her new life as a frog. (Just kidding. Using the Toad spell is too much of a pain for Himiko.)
What else is here? A balance pole? Nothing besides that and the mat left to examine. Hopefully the game will give us hints about where to use the hammer.
As Shuichi leaves the dojo, he spots Miu and Keebo conversing. Miu…sure sounds like she’s trying to convince Keebo to fuck her…as Kokichi might say, “Do robots have dicks”? Maybe Miu wants to sit on Keebo while he vibrates? Either way, Keebo isn’t flushed in the face, but only because he’s a robot. He sure looks uncomfortable.
Nevermind, his face turned red after all. I guess he has a blush function installed? Miu pulls him into the Ultimate Inventor’s Lab. Poor guy…
Shuichi is more worried about Keebo than worried about what he might see if he looks in the lab. So he does. Inside is a strange sound…and a strange sight. Miu, laying atop a struggling Keebo, attempting to get her jollies off?
Dust and debris? Is she…trying to clean his systems? In an extremely suggestive manner? Is this the game’s equivalent of Dangan Ronpa 2 and Nekomaru doing “it” (massage, not sex) to Akane? Probably. Except…this wouldn’t be weird if Miu wasn’t making it weird.
Whoever put Keebo together? Professor Idabachi or whatever?
Keebo stop making this even weirder than it actually is…I know unlike Miu you don’t mean to but…
“…I closed the door without a word.” And headed to the casino to get a nice large alcoholic drink, or perhaps some brain bleach.
Maintenance on Keebo’s body. Right. That’s obviously all there is to it. Not thinking about this anymoooooooorrrrrrreeeeeeeee!!!
Poor Shuichi. Now to find out where the hammer goes.
Maybe we can smash the stupid statue in the shrine? Oh look, a hidden Monokuma on the shrine’s steps. Gotcha. Nope, not the shrine. We just get the same inner monologue as when examining the Ultimate Maid’s Lab.
Where the heck do I use the hammer? It must be usable on wherever the flashback light is hidden, so…
The maps has only one exclamation point – near Gonta and Tsumugi on the 4th floor. We already talked to them, though. Maybe we needed to investigate the other places, and then come back to the 4th floor?
Going back to the 4th floor, we find Tsumugi and Gonta, and…Monokuma. He’s still balding and missing his eye, though. When Shuichi asks what he’s even doing here, he disappears down the hallway…we find him near the right side classroom. Why is he waiting outside an empty classroom, though?
Monokuma is looking at Shuichi, then his gaze moves to the picture on the wall. Back and forth…Shuichi inspects the canvas, only to realize it’s no canvas. It’s a pane of glass. Hammertime feels imminent…but knowing Monokuma, and knowing he’s leading us here, this is a trap, meant for him to seize power back from Monodam and restart the killing game. What is the flashback light gonna make us remember this time?
A hidden passageway behind the glass…with his job done, Monokuma disappears. I do not trust this at all.
If the rest of the 4th floor is a hammy haunted house, this part is like…a factory. I am reminded by that sword that we know nothing about the facility where the Ultimates suppressed their memories.
There’s a door with what appears to be a giant camera lens on it…an Ultimate Lab, or…?
Inside is…a computer room. A giant machine is inside, marked with a giant X. It is silver with a glowing green button in the center. Could it be…a giant Xbox?! Oh hey look who’s here, the Kubs.
Monodam praises the Ultimates’ teamwork in solving the painting puzzle. Should we tell him just who we teamed up with to solve it? Probably not.
The puzzle wasn’t that difficult...well, not in-universe at least, and not after we found out where it was…
Yes, Monodam. The outdated piece of junk that is your father helped us…making me very suspicious in the process.
The computer room, with a giant computer. A computer that’s amazing! You could create entire worlds with the computer! Then, is this what created the world we’re in now? What the hell is it? Is this a digital world after all? Are we just AIs created by a hijacked Neo World Program or something?
Monotaro wasn’t supposed to tell us that. Monodam is worried that Monophanie knew that, and let Monotaro take the fall…I’m not sure if Monophanie or Monotaro will be the next Kub victim, or whether they or Monokuma himself will be the ones to permanently depose Monodam…
Monodam warns his two siblings that not getting along will result in punishment…for both of them. Yeah, he’s gonna totally get killed off by his siblings…
Shuichi can’t make heads or tails about the computer. Let’s investigate the treasure chest instead. Time for memories! Let’s gather everyone up and use this Flashback Light.
Kokichi arrives after we find the light, tells us he’ll gather everyone in the dining hall, and leaves. Time to put this baby to the test. I suppose the remaining six labs, including Rantaro’s, will have to wait till another chapter. I do wonder if anyone besides Rantaro will die before their lab becomes accessible…If no, then Kaito, Kokichi, Keebo, Tsumugi, and Shuichi himself are safe. I’m not too worried about Kiyo, either. Angie, Tenko, and Himiko seem like the people who might have a chance of dying in this chapter…I don’t think Miu will die, since I saw a screenshot of her that said case 3 on it. So if she isn’t the blackened, she’s safe. And Maki…I doubt she’ll let us hang out with her in this chapter. We couldn’t hang out with her last chapter either. So she’ll probably survive till at least chapter 4, so we have free time chances with her.
Maki wasn’t invited by Kokichi to the dining hall. Kaito hasn’t shown up, either…bet he’ll come by with Maki in reluctant tow.
As for the big computer? Keebo can’t do much with it. A robot that isn’t computer-savvy…huh. Miu sounds interested in it, though.
Kiyo asks what Keebo’s talent is. Ultimate Robot, of course. If Kokichi can be an Ultimate Supreme Leader, Keebo being a robot can be a talent.
I can’t imagine Keebo being good at comedy routines…
Hate to say it, but Kokichi is right…Keebo being a robot isn’t just his Ultimate talent, it’s his only talent. Perhaps the professor who built Keebo could be considered the Ultimate Roboscientist, but Keebo has nothing he’s particularly good at besides being himself.
As Shuichi is about to mention what Monotaro said, Kaito shows up. Sure enough, he’s brought Maki. She is none too thrilled to be here, and immediately upon Kiyo calling her a professional killer, she tries to leave. Kaito stops her by grabbing her arm. You’re on thin ice, Kaito. Hope you can skate.
So, his remark about taking down Maki’s mask was…he can’t bring himself to believe Maki could kill people in cold blood. I dunno, I can.
Keebo asks if Maki is really the Ultimate Assassin. Someone’s who’s killed people before. She says yes. (to which question, though?)
Maki hid it because she knew everyone would react this way, and she was right, and I was right about her reasons for hiding her talent.
Whenever anyone learns Maki’s talent, they fear her. Fear turns to hate, turns to a pre-emptive strike. She’s revealed her identity before. Every single time, it ends with someone trying to kill her.
Kokichi wonders if everything Maki has been through has left her unable to value human life. Kaito says she’s an assassin, not a murderous fiend. Nice DR1 reference there, Kaito.
Maki knew they would react like this, and that when she explained herself, they wouldn’t believe her. She tried her best to avoid everyone, but Kaito kept dragging her into things.
Maki makes a declaration. She has no intent to kill any other Ultimate here. She will kill anyone who tries to kill her, but she won’t kill those who don’t try a pre-emptive strike. I believe her.
C’mon, Shuichi. This is where Kaede would’ve reaffirmed that she still believes in Maki.
Shuichi remains silent, and Maki leaves. No flashback light for her, I guess.
In the end, though, everyone agrees to use the light to get more memories, more clues. But they must not use those clues as motivation to leave, lest murders happen.
Inside of that light, Shuichi sees…a shrine. The shrine from chapter 2’s opening. But this time…it’s filled in. Filled in with 16 pictures. 16 memorial pictures, flanked by candlelight…and part of the scene from chapter 2. But a few lines in, Shuichi regains his senses, and the scene ends.
But…how can that be? Shuich is bewildered. How could he have witnessed his own funeral? Not just his own funeral, either. A funeral service held in memory of all the Ultimates who were and are here.
Everyone proceeds to freak out. They all had the same memory restored…
Gonta theorizes that they might already be dead. But then where are they now? The Academy sure is hell, but not literally, right?
Kaito decides the memory must have been of, maybe, a play they did for a school festival. C’mon, man. Don’t turn away from the truth…whatever it might be.
He does have a point that it’s awfully strange that they were able to watch their own funeral, and are still alive right now…I have a theory, actually.
What if Shuichi’s memory of wanting to die with everyone else was…
What if the Ultimates DID die with everyone else? A few survivors holding a memorial service would make sense.
And as for how they’re alive now…it’s one step further than Dangan Ronpa 2. In DR2, the characters were avatars, created from their own memories pre-Hope’s Peak. But they still had flesh and blood bodies that those avatars were attached to. What if…the Ultimates are just perfect simulations? In which case, the end of the world that the computer created would result in their own existences disappearing, without there even being real bodies to retreat to like in DR2.
It’s also awfully suspicious that everyone had the same memory. What if it was 12 (well, 11, since Maki left early) copies of the same memory? It might not even be a memory that they themselves had. They’ve got no way of knowing, right?
Kaito states that it’s definitely false, he’s alive and hearty! Miu makes a hard-on joke, Tenko asks what I’m sure is a completely innocent question about what males being hard in the morning means, Miu gets pissed that someone else is making dirt comments (even without meaning to.)
Himiko and Kaito are kinda disappointed that the memory this time wasn’t worth much. Kokichi is also disappointed…but not in the memory. He claims that his disappointment in his classmates is a lie, so we don’t get to hear what he was talking about, but I bet it’s turning away from the truth because it doesn’t seem to make sense at the moment.
We eat and return to our rooms. Shuichi ponders asking Monokuma for assistance in figuring the whole funeral thing out, but decides against it. So. He can lie in bed trying to solve a problem without knowing the necessary facts. OR, he could have Free Time. Who to hang out with? I’m interested in knowing more about Kaede and Rantaro’s lives, and finding out Ryoma’s backstory, but that’s impossible till Academy Mode or whatever the School Mode equivalent is called. Or, until we play through the game again. We hung out with Kokichi and maxed out his friendship fragments…and Maki doesn’t want to get involved with anyone. I wasn’t planning on hanging out with Kirumi, but she’s also off the list due to being dead. We also can’t hang out with ourself. (Well, we can hang out with Shuichi in chapter 1, but not now.)
That leaves…Keebo, Tenko, Himiko, Angie, Kiyo, Kaito, Miu, Gonta, and Tsumugi. I’ll hang out with either Keebo or Kaito this chapter…next time!

Your first two months in the palace went by in a blur as you attempted to adjust to life in ancient Japan. It was quickly made obvious that your presence was unwanted by any who had importance within the palace, and every glance you received from the strangers was dark and filled with suspicion. The constant darkness that surrounded you was difficult to get used to at first, and you had preferred to just stay in your room until Tsuyu was able to persuade you to come out. You found that you very much enjoyed her company, even during the times that she merely stood by and watched you. There was more than one occasion that you almost spilled out that you were from the future, the wanting to alleviate the heaviness in your chest almost too much to bare. You found you valued your life more, however, so you kept up your facade.
In those first two months, you didn’t see hide nor hair of Bakugou. You knew that he was still in the palace, as Tsuyu mentioned having to leave to report to him every day, but you didn’t know exactly where she had gone. You did have to admit, you missed being around him and his officers. Sure, you hadn’t exactly become friends with them, but just being in their presence gave you a comforting sense of familiarity, since they were the first people you stumbled upon. But, that wasn’t the only thing that bothered you about not being able to see them. Because of their absence, you had yet to have a single change to make another prediction.
How could you stumble upon a conversation if you never saw them? You had no right to go searching for them, nor would Tsuyu probably allow you to do such a thing. She was lenient with you, but there were boundaries that you couldn’t quite pass just yet. But it wouldn’t hurt to at least ask, right?
“Could I go with you this morning?” You asked as Tsuyu prepped to deliver her report about your activities to Bakugou. Curious, she looked up at you, carefully folding the parchment in her hands. Pursing her lips in thought, she stared down at the document, tapping her fingers against it.
“I don’t see why not. I’m not going directly to his quarters and that area is heavily guarded, so there’s nothing that you could do to cause a scene. Sure!” She smiled, tucking the document into her clothing to keep it safe. “I don’t think he’ll mind. It will be good for you to go walking somewhere else in the palace, anyway. Have a bit of a… variety. I know you’re getting very bored of the same old thing every day.”
You gave a small shrug, unable to resist a smile at her approval. “It isn’t all that bad. It’s peaceful, and I enjoy reading what’s available to me. Though I would like to see if it would be possible to get some parchment and paint so that I can… draw maybe? Or do some writing?”
“We will ask him today if that is acceptable to give you supplies. I know that we have plenty, but it’s not my place to approve. Are you ready?” She took a moment to glance you over, making you feel a bit self conscious about your appearance. You weren’t sure why, it wasn’t as if you were trying to impress him with your looks, but you knew that you didn’t look your best. It wasn’t all your fault, you were given the lowest class quality of clothing that was only slightly better than that of a servant, so there wasn’t much you could really do with yourself. You still hadn’t quite gotten down any pretty hairstyles that were common, so you mostly just wore it loose where it was the most comfortable. You weren’t allowed make-up of any kind, so all in all, you felt shabby.
“I-I suppose. I can’t look any nicer than this with what I have.” You took a moment to adjust your clothing a bit.
“Oh, that’s not what I meant, Miss, your appearance is of little importance.”
Cheeks flushing with embarrassment, you merely nodded, fiddling with your nails nervously. “Yes, of course. I am ready, then.” With that, you both began to make your way down the halls. As you walked in silence, you wondered why it had been so important to you in that moment that you… looked decent. Did you want to make an impact on Bakugou with your looks? Did you feel like that would truly make a difference? It didn’t matter, nothing could be done about it, but you felt embarrassed to see him when you weren’t dressed to your best.
Man I wish I had my make up right now… or at least a way to do my hair. Even some simple eyeliner would make me feel better! You let out a small sigh, hanging your head a bit to avoid the eyes of others. He’s already seen me at my worst… Ugh, why do I even care so much! He hates me, anyway, might as well let him think I’m ugly, too.
Eventually, you both walked through a guarded gateway with a wall that seemed to separate one side of the palace from the other. You assumed this was where the high ranking members of the clan lived and had their councils, as it was much more beautiful and elegantly crafted architecture wise. Even the garden you passed was more lavish, almost seeming like an entire little forest within the structure of the buildings. The birds singing from the trees made you feel more at peace, though your heart instantly began to race when you heard that unmistakable deep voice around the corner.
Tsuyu gave a small hum when she heard it as well, removing the document she had tucked away earlier from her clothing. “He’s already outside today, that’s good.”
You could only hold your breath, returning to picking at your nails as you were unsure of what else to do with your hands. When you both rounded the corner, you first spotted Bakugou’s fluffy ash blonde hair, his back to you both. He was standing with Kirishima, talking about something that seemed important just from the intent and focused look on the red heads face.
“They will be traveling through here, they have no other option.” Bakugou was pointing to a map that he held on one side, Kirishima holding the other to keep it spread open. “This is the perfect chance to attack, if we come from the front and the back then they won’t be able to escape.”
“But neither will we. If it goes badly, we’d be just as trapped.” Kirishima spoke with a wary expression, brows furrowed. “We’ll have to work hard to not let that happen.”
“You know damn well we wouldn’t.”
This is it, you thought, watching as Kirishima noticed Tsuyu and gave her a wave. This is my chance to make a prediction. I just have to somehow get more information out of them or at least look at the map so I know what area this is they’re talking about. I think it’s the skirmish at Pine Valley but I can’t be sure without seeing the map.
Butterflies began to ravage your stomach as Bakugou looked back at you both, a bit of surprise flashing across his features before his brow furrowed back into his regular intense expression. How his stupid beautiful face hadn’t been perminantly creased with wrinkles yet was surprising to you, as you had only seen his face relaxed when sleeping and after the murder of his horse. Still, it suited him, and your embarrassment of being in his presence returned tenfold as you bowed deeply in greeting.
“Good Morning,” Tsuyu addressed them both as she bowed along with you, before standing and handing the parchment in her hands to her leader. “Here is your report for yesterday.”
Allowing Kirishima to take the map, Bakugou accepted the document, his crimson glare moving to you. “What does it say today, Demon? That you sat out in the garden all day?”
Trying desperately to control the heat wanting to rush into your cheeks, you gave a simple nod. “I assume… That’s really all that I did. It’s peaceful. After all this time of it being the same thing over and over I’m surprised you still read them.”
“Of course I read them. Though I have considered changing it to just a weekly report.” His gaze moved back to Tsuyu, who nodded in agreement. “I’ve gotten tired of reading the stupid conversations you have with the fish in the pond.”
Heat immediately rushed to your cheeks and you nearly choked on air, giving a small cough behind your sleeve to clear your throat. “W-what? My entire conversations?” You looked down at Tsuyu, who merely nodded again and made you cover your face.
“I don’t leave out anything, Miss. I’m trained to have a very fine memory, you see, so I can recall every word you say. I quite like listening to you talk to them,” Tsuyu smiled. “You’ve made an interesting bond with the white fish there. He even lets you touch him, it’s very intriguing.”
Giving a groan in embarrassed agony, you shook your head, peeking out over your sleeve at Bakugou as he opened the document in his hands to read it. As his eyes scanned across the characters on the parchment, he scoffed, giving you an annoyed glance. “You even named it. Sushi?”
“I-It’s not his name, I was just… I needed something to call it, so--”
“Then that is it’s name. That white fish is very old… I am not surprised a Demon such as yourself has built a relationship with an animal like that.” He folded up the document and tucked it away into his clothes before he turned his attention back to the map, effectively shutting you out. In that moment, you got a peek at it under his arm, noticing that the area around Pine Valley was circled with arrows and notes scribbled about around it. This was your chance.
“W-wait,-” You cut in, stepping a bit closer to make sure you got their attention. At first, Bakugou looked like he might just snap at you, though he quickly stopped when he noticed how intently you were staring at the map.
“What is it, Demon?”
“This…” You wedged yourself between the two men, placing your finger delicately on the area that was circled. Judging from what you had heard and now the notes on the paper, you could see that what they were planning wasn’t what had been recorded in history. You knew that they did win this battle, but it wasn’t like this at all. “This isn’t right…”
“What do you mean?” Bakugou snarled, though he still didn’t try to push you away. “We have been planning this for weeks, there are no faults.”
“No, you can’t go from the front and the back! They will have backup, and you will get pinned in. No, you need to attack from here.” You ran your finger along the sides of the valley. “Using arrows, traps and rocks. Keep the high ground, with some troops here and here to catch anyone that tries to flee. Only then will you win.” Looking up at him, it took every ounce of your courage to not crumble beneath his glare.
“Who do you think you are, to undermine my strategy in place of your own! You stupid woman, you don’t know anything about war.”
“That’s not what I’m saying! What I told you is how you will win. If you do it any other way, you will lose. You have to believe me.” Desperate for your plan to work, you shot a worried glance up at Kirishima, who rubbed the back of his neck.
“I don’t know, Sir,” He pointed at the valley, tapping one of the hill sides lightly. “We would have a better advantage point… It’s your call.”
Bakugou kept his glare on you, observing you for any signs or hints that you were trying to trick him. Still, you stood your guard, knowing that you weren’t lying. You knew exactly what was going to happen, and even if you did have some mission to sabotage their cause, you wouldn’t be able to go through with such a thing. You wanted them to survive, as long as you could manage. Not only because you did feel some sort of kinship with them, but because your life hung in the balance. If he died, what would become of you? That was a scary thought.
“Fine, Demon. You were right before, I’ll listen to you again.” Bakugou took the map, folding it back up. “If things go as you say, then perhaps we can discuss loosening your leash a bit.”
You couldn’t resist the small, relieved smile that crossed your lips. “Thank you for believing me… And all I would really want is maybe some supplies… Paper and paints? So I can do some art?”
“You’re an artist?”
“A-ah, well, no but I figured that with all my free time I could learn.”
“What a waste of resources. I’ll consider it.” With that, he gave a dismissive wave of his hand, silently demanding your leave. With a small touch on your arm from Tsuyu, you followed her, giving a small bow even though he wasn’t paying any attention to you.
As you walked alongside your guide, you gave a sigh, reaching up to pat your own cheeks. “Damn, that was scary.”
“That was very bold of you.” Tsuyu looked up at you with a wary glance. “You’re very lucky he took it so well. But I will say that you had better hope that what you said is true. If something happens to him or any of his officers due to your misguidance, Lord Yagi won’t tolerate your presence or the fact that you still breathe air.”
You nodded, eyes on the wood beneath your feet as you walked. “Yes… I know. But I had to speak up and… say what I know. They would have been screwed if they went with their plan…”
“‘Screwed’, huh? And that is…?”
“They would be in really big trouble.”
“Ah!” Tsuyu smiled. “I like these new words you always say, I always look forward to the next one.”
You smiled as well, happy that she didn’t judge you for your oddities that came with a modern slang. “I’ll teach you words any time! Do you… tell Bakugou any of the words I let slip?”
“I do. He particularly likes the one… ‘fuck’. And you confused him when you said ‘stupid cunt’.” How calmly she said these words without knowing the meaning made you nearly instantly burst into laughter, covering your lips with your fingers.
“Oh no! Well, I suppose I’ll have to teach him what they mean.”
“Me as well! I hope I’m not using inappropriate words.”
“Aw well, Tsu… You’re going to be surprised for sure.”
