Oh boy do I love it when I see two characters with vastly different personalities and wow their backstory and motivations and developments are in some proximity tied to each other? Wow how I do love that! What’s that? They have a rival-esque dynamic? Which stems from one characters insecurities? How interesting! I can’t wait to see how the pair’s relationship progresses throughout the span of the entire show! Hopefully they will be granted with a blossoming relationship from rivals to friends to an unbreakable bond that not even the insurmountable obstacle that is time and distance can wither! Hopefully the show displays poignant moments between the two that can act as lessons the audience can learn from such as battling your insecurities and being able to rely and trust people etc.!!!!

Gil is insane overall so it’s very hard to spot a difference when he’s being more so but I like to think, as all unhealthy sibling relationships go in this series - that he’s obsessed with Ludwig. Not to the extent that Ludwig is fixated on him but he’s very much an overbearing helicopter parent in his own trying to make it seem like I don’t give a shit way. He’s calmed down sooo much in modern times but I Know that boy was going through like no less than 20 lessons a day when he was born

the fact that isabelle’s letter was forged and that she did love thomas is like a double twist. in the initial telling of the story the reveal of isabelle no longer loving thomas came as unsurprising like haha yeah it’s absurd thomas sillyboy. but when the actual account of events came and the recital audience’s reception of thomas flipped to the stark reality of remarks and sneers, we get an image more befitting of our perception of thomas. however it is then, in this universe of reality, that isabelle is seen still loving him. therefore all the more tragic that francis ripped away one of the few who did not look down vehemently upon thomas.

it’s one thing to make thomas believe his love was unrequited, to make isabelle go on to think of thomas for the rest of life as a man of fickle affection is another ... i do wonder if she had doubts at the start, searching in memories if he ever displayed a sign.

drove through my old neighbourhood today. where I live now, the roads are straight, grid-locked and sterile, but my old neighborhood, the place I visited today, it’s carved in curved roads that hold the memories of my youth, from my first steps to my teenage years.

drove through my old neighbourhood today, and I stopped in front of the house where I’ve lived for the majority of my life (in a decade, this statement will no longer be true). I looked at my old house and the changes the new homeowners have made, and notes that while the christmas lights & basketball hoops are symbols of new lives, the paved stone I played on as a child and the lilac bushes I would hide in during the summer are still there.

drove through my old neighbourhood today, and I had to pause and shed a few tears, grieve for a girl I haven’t thought about in so long. i looked at this house of red brick & red maple steeped in my childhood and mourned the child who grew up here; the person I used to be before I left and lost myself and found myself and learned that who I am could be so different than who I thought I would be there.
